Reviews of BEAST Wildlife Solutions

Rory called me back promptly, and gave a quick overview of their services. He basically came right over and got to work. He was able to capture the intruding squirrel in a very short time. Rory also pointed out the most likely area of entry, and how to seal that up. He also went on the roof to check the chimney cap as we could see daylight from below. He inspected the chimney, and took some photos of the rest of my roof while he was up there, giving me a thoughtful assessment of things beyond my sight on the ground. Would definitely recommend!

We had a tricky situation with a bat in our house while out-of-town and our young adult son was staying there. Rory, of BEAST Wildlife Management, helped us solve the problem long-distance. He was kind and super-knowledgeable—clearly an expert on bat habits, handling and prevention. He caught the wayward bat and delivered it to U of M for rabies testing, keeping us informed every step of the way. We will be using BEAST for a full home inspection and bat prevention plan for our property. Cannot say enough good things about our experience with Rory and BEAST. Highly recommend!

TLDR: If you are searching for a company that humanely handles animals larger than your average mouse, look no further. Beast is the best in the business.
Last fall, we heard crunching sounds coming from the attic and noted squirrels coming in and out of a vent on the highest peak on the building. Soon after, phone lines were mysteriously severed in the attic and the crunching got louder and louder. I called a pest control company who then referred me to Beast. I spoke with Louise who said that my description of the noise was likely the squirrels.
Nick from Beast came to the office for a thorough inspection of the building. He showed me exactly where the squirrels were coming in, how they managed to chew through a pvc pipe to gain entry and exactly how much damage they did to the attic. After I embarrassed myself trying in vain to get the squirrels to leave on their own accord (AC/DC full blast in the attic, remote control squad car roaming the insulation in the attic, obnoxious blinking/bouncing ball tossed in the attic), I relented and hired Beast to help. That was a good call. We agreed on an exclusion system, which essentially squirrel proofs vulnerable areas on the roof but leaves one exit for them to leave. Once they are out, they cannot gain reentry. Traps are set near the exit to allow the squirrels to be relocated. The problem that was immediately apparent was that the squirrels’ preferred exit was atop the highest peak on the building which meant that I would need to access that area daily to check any traps. (I had no intention of harming the squirrels and Nick honored that request. I set up a feeding station and squirrel homes in the trees on the property in the hopes they’d just move into their dedicated homes once they were out of the attic). Nick came up with the funniest but most practical resolution to this problem-The Legendary Squirrel Slide. This was several PVC pipes held together at angles that allowed the squirrels to descend to the ground and directly into a live trap. I’ve attached a picture. It was not only a practical solution, it made our office building a neighborhood sensation and puzzled all who tried to guess at its function, including the Fire Inspector during a surprise inspection. It looked funny but it was extremely effective to provide our attic dwelling squirrels a safe escape that did not involve me climbing a ladder in the dead of winter.
I have no reservations about recommending Beast. We continue to hire them to monitor the building now that the squirrel slide is down. The building is mostly cedar and, apparently, wildlife believe cedar buildings are simply delicious. I know who to call.

Amazingly thorough and professional! Nick and Gavin did a wonderful job taking care of a very pesky and persistent set of squirrels who had chewed a hole into our attic and were having a party. Take it from me. Don’t mess around with any of the competitors. Will the other companies claim they’ll resolve your squirrel problem? Yes. But will they provide the same excellent service and do the same type and quality of work? Nope. I know this first hand. Save yourself the headache and money. Go right to BEAST. If you’re worried about the cost, this is one area where I can confidently say that you get what you pay for. Although I hope to never need BEAST’s services again, I’d use them again in a heartbeat. They seem to be the only company that will actually place traps at the very site of the problem (even if it’s three levels up) and ensure the issue is resolved. Once they’ve addressed the pest problem, they’ll seal up the problem area in a top-notch fashion and take care of any other potential problem areas. Highly recommend! Thanks, Nick and Gavin!

I called 8 companies to come help with a racoon in the attic. While most called back, Matt responded in a timely manner and found time that day to come to our place for an inspection. Most of the other companies had us 3 days out. He gave me a call to alert me when he was 20 minutes out. On site, he was thorough and had no problem with me tailing him to learn. He asked questions which changed up some strategies and eventually allowed us to determine the cause. However, what I was most impressed with is that he called the next day to follow up and make sure we didn't have any other issues. You can tell he enjoys his job which made is so much better for the consumer. Can't recommend Matt enough!!

I called BEAST Wildlife Solutions because 2 squirrels built a nest on top of my chimney. Within an hour of my call, Matt called and said he was nearby and could come early. He assessed the situation, quoted me a fabulous price, and removed the nest immediately. I couldn't be happier with how prompt and professional Matt and BEAST were. I will recommend this company to anyone I know who has any pest control issues.

After a family of squirrels chewed a hole in the side of our roof and moved into the attic, I called my neighbors, all who said they’d had little success with similar problems. I called Beast, and was immediately impressed with the frequency of communication and professionalism of the service. Nick explained what draws rodents into the house and how to fix the current and future problems spots. He fixed the problem, then set some live traps. Then he returned three times to recover the squirrels who finally exited our attic, right into the traps. I could not be more pleased with the final result, and highly recommend Beast Wildlife Solutions. Troy - NE Minneapolis

I called Beast Wildlife after discovering a family of racoons had made themselves comfortable in my shed. Matt was able to come out the same day, he collected some of the racoons and set a trap for the mom. He came back after another job to check on the trap and set additional traps the next morning he was back out and all raccoons were removed and he patched up the hole they made in the floor. Matt was great to work with, very professional and good at what he does. I highly recommend Beast Wildlife and Matt.

Nick came by to give me a quote on attic restoration after evicting bats and mice from a home I just purchased. He was professional, informative, and gorgeous. I went up in the attic with him and we both saw that there was very little evidence of waste or guano so a full restoration was not needed. I appreciated his honesty and their prices are significantly more reasonable than other wildlife services places I’ve worked with.
I received an electronic invoice detailing my request and what was covered in the inspection. I also received an electronic receipt for payment, who accepted multiple forms of payment. This is not something I have encountered with other contractors and really increases the credibility of the business. This is also why I am giving 5 stars vs 4. I really value a small business who is clear that they are working in the 21st century.
I will be reaching out to BEAST again if anything tries to take up shop in my home.

Squirrels can be both pesky and persistant! I was so thankful for the help and great work that Nick Simon did to help me rid the squirrels from my eaves. I loved how he problem solved when the squirrels seemed to be outsmarting us and made sure the job got done! Nick also worked to make sure that my house was repaired so that the squirrels wouldn't be able to return and even took care of the holes that the other wildlife "friends" had made. It is probably not the most inexpensive way to get rid of a squirrel, but the value is totally worth it! I was so worried about the potential damage they could cause and felt really heard by Nick and assurred that everything would be taken care of. Professional, friendly, hardworking, and diligent!
