Smithereen is fantastic. I've been using them for over a year now, and the regular monthly service is easy to deal with - scheduling is easy, the techs are great. I called them initially after finding an expired critter that my tenants hadn't noticed. They did a thorough inspection of my condo, placed traps and sprayed the floorboards. I've had peace of mind because of their regular service. Apart from the normal seasonal bugs (and even that has substantially reduced over the past year), I have never had to worry about anything else.

Our technician, David, who coincidentally visited us today, has been nothing short of sensational. From the first time he evaluated our building, he has been knowledgeable, professional, and very accommodating. It’s obvious to me, as a customer service oriented business person, that David’s principle goal is to provide the level of service that he would like to receive if he were the client. To me, that approach is always successful. The icing on the cake is that since his first visit in August, we have experienced no rodent issues whatsoever. Therefore, we are both jubilant and appreciative of Smithereen’s outstanding efforts.

I had a squirrel problem. Got BS from other companies. Smithereen was great. Happy with all involved. I had an animal living in my garage. It destroyed a refrigerator and freezer by digging out all the insulation. I never saw it or knew what it was. A tech from Smithereen Pest Management Services came in, found a large rat, and removed it. He then made recommendations for keeping additional critters from coming into the garage. The tech was efficient, friendly, professional, and helpful. I hope I don't need this kind of help again...but if I do, I'll be calling Smithereen.

Had a raccoon in my roof. When I requested service I was told someone would call in 24 hrs. That's what happened. Ron came out on time. Explained what he would do, set expectation. Animal was caught that night. Ron came on time to remove it. Gave me ideas on how to prevent reoccurence. Well done all around. Recommend!

I identified two types of ants that have appeared in my house. I have not had success with store bought products recently, but I am concerned about using pesticides and adding them to the water table. Smithereen was able to arrange to quickly send out someone. Nester came and inspected my home explained the possible treatments and carefully treated my home inside and out. He succeeded in winning my confidence. I hope he will return for future services.

We had a huge roach problem for almost 2 years. Roaches were infested all over our house. We changed between 3-4 pest control services for this issue but none of them were successful. Finally we called Smithereen for their services and from the first call, they sounded hopeful. Our technician Ian Aragon was very professional and extremely knowledgeable and understood our problem right away. He was not hesitant to get to difficult parts of the house to get to the root of the problem. In a matter of 2-3 visits our house was roach free. I have used Smithereen in every house I live in for preventative maintenance since 2016. My condo association uses Smithereen for its trash cute / trash areas / etc. as well. Smithereen is consistent and reliable. I use an annual maintenance plan (3 treatments per year) which allows me to call and get additional service on an as-needed basis. Each person who comes to my home has been professional, informed, and kind. The benefit of using Smithereen increases as the years go on. I will continue to use and recommend Smithereen for all pest management needs!!

My technician, Luis, was fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, communicative and brave! He got rid of the wasps! My only issue is that I never got follow-through when I left a detailed message with their answering service the first time I called Smithereen. The receptionist said I should get an email the next day with a quote for the wasp nests, but it never happened. I had to call again a few days later and explain the whole situation again. But then they sent Luis out a few days later, and he was great.

I hired Smithereens to remove a House Sparrow nest under the eave of the second story. Smithereens came exactly on time for the appointment and gave me a reasonable estimate to remove the nest and construct a metal mesh around the area so that the birds can't return. The whole appointment took less than an hour. I was very happy with their service.

Thus I would be able to leave my otherwise locked gates (for the safety of my dogs) open for them. No one called me prior to todays visit. They do need to do that. The house painters saw a squirrel disappear into a breach of the attic while working by the gutters and I was able to hear them from inside the house. I contacted Smithereen since they list eliminating rodents and squirrels as part of their services. The initial call was handled well and pricing and services clearly described. The website for my account and payments was simple and intuitive. Shortly after my initial call I was contacted by Jaime. He arrived promptly and set traps which he checked and collected each day. If I spotted a sprung trap I let him know and he made additional trips. Due to the number of squirrels using the opening it was a job getting them all and repairing the opening. He communicated often and clearly and I also learned a lot about rodent wildlife, their habits and signs to look for going forward. He had to coordinate with the crew painting the house and did so seamlessly. At the end of the job I no longer heard any squirrels either inside or out of the house and mice were gone, too. A great job by Jaime and I feel I can relax and not have to be concerned about “company” this winter. Will definitely recommend to anyone needing rodent removal.

They came out and verified that the initial repair was still intact and the sound is merely echoing from the birds attempting to break into the vent again. Today was a quarterly inspection so the 3 rat traps in my backyard were checked (1 had a dead & badly decomposed rat inside 🤮) and re-bated. He repositioned 1 unit and gave me sound advice for one of the other units. He also asked if I needed indoor attention and I told him, thankfully, since his last visit, whatever product he used has taken care of the centipedes, spiders and ants (I live in the basement) so I didn’t need indoor service. Very helpful, responsive, and professional overall. Inspected perimeter or house and roof which was amazing. But that said, I wish that they would have provided some specific information or a solution since we heard sounds in our wall, and told the wildlife technician specifically where it was coming from inside. They didn't enter the premises or provide a specific solution despite that, so not exactly sure what to do now. Very competent just not as much follow through as I had hoped.

We had a critter in our furnace! The technician was great. He was expedient and nice. However, after calling his supervisor, charged us an extra $60 fee, which was only supposed to be charged if he set a trap and had to return, not capture on the spot. After a call the next day to the person who scheduled my appointment, I was refunded the $60 by check, which arrived in the mail a few days later. The hassle caused the lower rating.

Jamie was our technician. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough! We are very pleased with his overall professionalism. We had a raccoon and snakes living on the side of our pool and in our landscaping. I watched the raccoon get caught in the trap. Jamie knee the species of the snake by identifying its skat, which was impressive.

All the vents (7) in the home i purchased, as well as the attic had birds living in them during the spring, and they were full of nesting material. The vents were cleaned and the openings were blocked off with guards to prevent the return of the birds. The vents were awkward to reach (3 stories in back, and side of house on slope), but that didn't stop David, who did a great job. He left everything clean and put away. Easy process, good response time. Great job, and will definately use them if needed in the future.

I had heat treatment done for bedbugs which none were found and I only had a 4 hour treatment for my main floor and basement which I think is a bit much but I needed the service to get done. Smithereen has been a great ally in my fight against bed bugs. Two weeks after moving into my new apartment I began being bitten. I finally was able to catch one and start the process. I would recommend them to anyone with a bed bug issue. Chris the tech who did the inspection and treatment of my apartment was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was willing to answer my questions at any time and fully explain what was happening and give suggestions to help. I can't even explain how much I annoyed him will trying to figure out this issue as it was completely new to me. Unfortunately, I still have bed bugs but is not the fault of the exterminator. They gave suggestions and information to the property manager which was disregarded and allowed the issue to become worse. I write this as a warning if the exterminator can not find the source and suggest where they are coming from you listen to them. They are the experts, due to this the source was not found in another unit until 3 months after I started seeing them.

We had not had a serious ant problem until about 3 weeks ago. Suddenly they showed up with a vengeance in the kitchen right near the stove, coming directly onto the counter. They were the small black ones, kinda annoying and gross to have near food. My wife and I knew we needed someone quickly to help. We had deployed some of our own measures but it didn't seem to be helping. I was reading reviews and noticed that a competitor that I was originally going to call didn't get great reviews from people. Very frequent bad experiences. Smithereen on the other hand was getting great reviews for customer service, on time arrivals and just good in general. Gave them a call and unfortunately they were booked until Monday of the next week (calling on a Thurs) and they were even booked for the weekend. Made the appointment and I'm so happy we had them come out. "E" showed up and reviewed with me what had been done so far and the symptoms I had been seeing. He confirmed that in fact we were doing a decent job attempting to solve the problem but could do just a bit more. Even though this was a consultation no charge visit he was willing to give us some advice on what else we could do ourselves before we need to have them come out again. His fantastic nature and helpfulness are a guarantee that if we have any further pest issues (hopefully not!) I'll be calling Smithereen to come out and take care of the issue! One week later and his advice has been solid with no more ants spotted in the house! (*crossing fingers*)

Called Smithereen after hearing animal noise in attic. Jaime promptly returned my call and said he could be out in a an hour. He inspected and evaluated the situation and told ma a raccoon had found a way into the attic. He set traps and came up with a plan. We continued to hear noise in attic and realized that a squirrel had entered the attic as well Jaime trapped the squirrel the same day After days of trying to trap the raccoon Jaime inspected the attic and found the raccoon had left on its own, most likely due to his unique way of finding the raccoon in the first place. He cleaned and sprayed in the attic, and sealed all areas that were vulnerable to prevent the raccoon from coming back. Jaime was great, he explained the process start to finish, communicated with us every step of the way and is very professional
