Update: EcoShield did contact me after I posted this review and waived my $250 cancellation fee. I paid the $100 remaining balance and closed my account. I will not be using them again, but I did increase from 1 star to 3 stars since they made the effort to put this right. Original review: Worst experience I’ve had with any company. I don’t normally leave reviews, especially bad ones, but this business is beyond unprofessional. They really do not care seem to care about anything except getting paid. The sales guy promised to rid us of all our paper wasps around the house. In fact, that claim was even written into the contract. Nevertheless, the first visit the “technician” literally just walked around the house for a few mins spraying here and there, then left without saying a word. No paper wasps removed. A month later a different person turned up and walked once around the house in less than a minute (I was alone at the house in the middle of a meeting so couldn’t speak to him, but I could see out the window), then he left. No updates and still no change in the paper wasps. Then I get a bill for $120 per month for this “service”. I finally called to complain and cancel, then they tell me I have to pay a $250 cancellation fee. I get bounced around to 10 different people in their call center, repeating the issue each time. Now they have debt collectors chasing me for $350 for a joke service I never received. Oh and yes… all the paper wasps are still here. My advice: stay well away from this company. They just want your money and don’t care about whether you get what you paid for or not.

John Avilla is so good with communications. He lets us know well in advance of the scheduled (recurring) appointment to treat our rental property. Our tenants like that he is always courteous and cheerful as he performs all of his duties. What more could we ask for?

There was a misunderstanding with my contract, but I spoke with a representative named Jester. He was an awesome professional that clearly understands customers and their needs. He solved my issue within 5 minutes and kept his cool the entire time. Marvin came out this time and was great, he asked questions about the problem we had, which was ants climbing the outside of the house and he addressed each location and checked the rest of the areas. Richard came out the time before and was great as well, gave us some info, tips and treated the problem areas. Had great customer service with all the guys that have come out to do our visits. We've been very happy with Ecoshield.

I am a returning customer. I had EcoShield at my previous location but decided to try another company to do my pest control at my new location. The other company I called to do the service did the 1st initial service but never came back. Tried contacting them when will the next appointment will be. I received 1 email asking my name and location. I replied right away. No response after that. I decided to call EcoShield because I felt they were reliable in the past. They did not disappoint. From the initial start to making the appointment to the tech coming to my house and doing the service. Bryson was the tech that did my house and he was very professional and personable. Told me all I need to know and answered all my questions. I highly recommend them.

Actually following up on my mother's account, as she is transitioning back home from the hospital via a care home currently. So, I was made aware of her account being outstanding and called to make the payment for her. Noa showed up at my home right on time and started working immediately installing in ground termite stations. He was very efficient, friendly and professional. I’ve been using Ecoshield for years for pest control, and am quite confident these stations will keep the voracious termites at bay.

Noa Lum did a great job. Serviced my mosquito pots, and knew we didn’t want fogging. His service call was just to replenish the mosquito pots, but while he was there he also helped with an entirely unrelated ant problem. For ants he applied a jell outside a 2nd story window where we were seeing a stream of ants at night, and applied granules on the ground below the window.

Super friendly even though our home isn't even mappable on google maps yet. We live in a brand new section of Hoopili in Ewa Beach and Mark ensured the job was perfect and pristine. I haven’t used Ecoshield business yet but I have an initial appointment scheduled with a tech soon and prior to the appointment, I had a few questions as I felt I was misled by the door to door sales rep, Ben. I called the main line of Ecoshield and spoke with customer rep, Emma. She was able to assist me by allowing me to change the contract terms on my agreement (which was never discussed by the sales person, Ben) from 24 months to 12 months and ensured me that their company is always willing to help their clients out. I was grateful that my call to Emma did not end with me canceling the appointment but instead, provided me with confidence that I can trust this company. Thanks, Emma!

Had a salesperson come to our door and claim they serviced the home before we bought it. We knew this was a lie since we had the paperwork from the previous owner, but went ahead and signed with them since we have pets and children. We’ve had a really hard time getting ahold of them. We’ve called everyday for 8 days because we’ve been seeing roaches again and have a terrible time getting a call back. We finally did today, but I’m skeptical for the remainder of our year contract.

EcoSheild keeps your home and yard pest free AND uses natural ingredients to do so! So no need to hide your animals and wait before entering. We bought an old house and when we.moved in there were so many German cockaroaches. We had a toddler at the time so I didn't want harsh chemicals and one day EcoShield was walking around soliciting their services and I signed up. So glad I did!!! Every technician is amazing and thorough and even great with animals my digs loved everyone who came to service our property. One time the stray cats started coming and we noticed we had a lot of fleas and found one inside the house. Called EcoSheild and they came and retreated the inside and out of the home for NO COST! Their customer service is always stellar and Cris helped me today and was able to hear my concerns and get me booked for treatment asap. Can't say enough good things. If you have pests that need to be evicted and don't want harsh chemicals in and around your property plus exceptional customer service call EcoSheild!

My tech was nice. We had been experiencing scorpions for the first time. His treatment solved our scorpion problem. Unfortunately once the service started, shortly afterwards, COVID shut down the world. All of my tenants were unable to pay their rent. I postponed treatment, thinking that we would be back to "normal" in short time. I received automated reminders of upcoming service. One expected service date came and went with no visit, or so we thought. We saw a dead centipede and then a charge for $100+ on my bank statement. No one at our home saw a tech or a note saying they had performed a service. As I receive electronic communication from the company, I must take the time to reach out to a human. I have cancelled every optional bill (Cable, auto details, subscriptions, etc) I can to survive. I cannot call after 3PM because the company is not local. I called in the morning and got someone, somewhere who indicated that I must pay a cancellation fee. As I signed a service contract when the world was "operational", I asked to speak with a manager. No manager was willing to rectify my situation. I called back and spoke to Jasmina, who LISTENED and solved my problem with ALOHA! She and the original Tech are the reasons for my 5 star rating.

I had a problem signing into my account-- the website wouldn't accept any password I tried to enter. I called Customer Service and spoke to Joshua, who sent an email with a reset code that would allow me to change my (nonexistent) password and a link to password recovery, but the email did not contain a code. After repeated sendings of similar emails that still did not contain a code, a text message was sent that did show a code and a link to the Login page. Finally! Using the code, I was able to enter a password and confirm it. I now have access to my accountproblem solved! Many thanks to Joshua for helping to figure this out.

I recently heard about EcoShield Pest Control from a co-worker and she raved on how awesome the service she received. I called and scheduled an appointment as I was also having some critter issues at my home. The process of setting up an appointment was very simple. On the day of my appointment I met the owner Randy, he was on time and very personable. Over the years I have used different pest control services, including more than one in my current location. EcoShield has been by far the best. They pay attention to detail, such as looking for wasp nests (I am allergic to wasps) at the eaves, in addition to customizing spray. I was not certain all what to check. Today Chris changed the spray to account more for centipedes which seem to be making a spring resurgence. One time I called between services when invaded by hoards of small unidentified (by me) bugs with wings high on the walls in my living room and by outdoor lights. They came between services, as part of what you pay for. More than that, Chris always asks if there are special needs, took care of a dead mouse in a trap in my garage today, something I usually do. I truly appreciate the quality and the kindness of their work. Also a shoutout to Eric. I am moving so need to stop this service, but they have been the BEST.

So far the gentleman who have come to spray are all courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They always ask questions and are talkative concerning the issues or problems I have. The last treatment I was not home for since it rained hard and they canceled the day of the spraying they then showed up short notice to spray while I was running errands on a different day. I have cameras around my home and was pleased to see the guy who served my house did not take advantage and cheat or skimp out. He sprayed a generous amount which they always do and hit all the problem areas of debris and rocks around the property. I try to keep the landscaping pretty free and I spray occasionally myself with defender home spray before a hard rain or while doing large lawn projects that disturb the bugs. There is a contract so be aware of that and cancelation fee for canceling early. Just be an informed consumer and ask plenty of question so you understand and also give them a chance to deliver on their promises. Follow their advice to clean things or make common sense improvements. Overall I am very pleased. When I spray I see a few dead roaches here and there. When they spray there are always plenty of dead centipedes and roaches and other bugs. We used to have scorpions in our home when we first moved to waianae, but haven't seen any since their second treatment. I love that it's green and safer for ghe environment and our small children. I've seen some bad reviews from the mainland on this company perhaps oahu has a great set of guys, I just couldn't be happier. also keep in mind the effectiveness also depends on your own cleanliness cleanliness your neighbors. One of my neighbors is a renter and doesn't care about the condition of the home or to clean his yard. My other neighbors are elderly and just comfortable with no real regard for bugs. Either way I feel happy and comfortable with the effectiveness of their sprays and performance.

I must admit that I was first, VERY skeptical with EcoShield since I had never heard of them before. I am now sold on this new company after the owner, Randy, made a special trip to my place to explain his company, their services, and why their license number was not available when I asked for it (FYI: they received it right after). Earlier in August two young men in EcoShield uniforms came around my neighborhood offering pest control services and to “sweep” the weep holes (I know them as bird hole covers) and under the roof eaves. I asked them to please repeat the services because I already have an excellent pest control company EXCEPT it does not offer sweeping the weep holes and eaves... and it would be the same price! I thought this might be a gimmick, since at the time of solicitation they did not have their license, so when Randy made a special trip to my place to explain his company, I felt more comfortable that it was indeed a legit company. In fact, I asked him to come back later to do a termite inspection (I recently learned that one of my neighbors just experienced ground termite infestation, which was alarming to me since I am connected to them). Randy came promptly today as scheduled and had his team ready to do the inspection. His team included Andy, “Da Bug Doctor” who is a walking encyclopedia about termites and bugs. Andy offered knowledge and suggestions on what homeowners need to know about pest/termite control. A winning team! I am sold on Randy’s company...incredible services and caring!

***UPDATE*** So we’ve had regular treatments for about a year now and it has totally changed our experience of living in this house- especially going into the kitchen at night- it used to be a given that we would see a bunch of roaches crawling over our countertops and silverware and I don’t think I’ve seen a single one since the treatments started. We did start to see a few bugs in the house though, so we informed the company and they had someone out to spray inside the next morning! Prompt friendly customer service with a company that truly gets results. Doesn’t get better than that!! Thank you EcoShield!! We had such a problem with cockroaches in our kitchen. He is VERY meticulous in his work, such as unscrewing EACH outlet cover to clean out dust and place repellent inside of it. We had roach traps that just weren’t cutting It I knew we needed some pros - my dad and stepmom recommended Randy at EcoShield- who they just started using as well.
