Noticed a large wasp hive on Thursday evening and we're having a kids birthday party on Saturday, so we needed it gone before then. I called and explained and they got someone out to me the next morning. The technician that came out (Joseph Ball) was great, explained everything, got everything done quickly. I HIGHLY recommend them if you have any kind of pests.

We’ve been using Richland’s services since early-2022 when we moved into our new home. Not long after we moved in, we heard critters in the attic. Richland came out (Michael R) and performed the inspection/placement of bait stations throughout our home. They have been out to our home regularly for different services (exclusions, bee prevention, etc) and to monitor the mouse activity. All is quiet here and has been for months. All of the technicians have been very nice, polite and respectful of our property. Today, Michael R was here again, this time to remove OLD insulation in our basement and clean/sanitize the area in preparation of new insulation going up tomorrow. Once again, Michael was great, super-nice guy, professional and knowledgeable! Truly, an asset to the company 😀

I was not pleased when I discovered rodent droppings in my basement ... and horrified when Rah showed up and told me I not only had mice, but rats! (And he explained how he could tell.) His calm demeanor and professionalism went a long way in having me feel reassured that he knew what was going on and that he was going to take care of it. Speaking of professionalism, Rah called when he was on the way and showed up well within the timeframe I was given. And after he did his work in the basement, he spent time with me going over all the things that he had done to eliminate the rodents, and underscored that I could (and should) call Richland in advance of my next visit if there were any problems, and a technician would be here. Having rodents is a problem, but Rah really helped take much of the horror away. **** And plus, he was so sweet to my dog. : )

I had a ground wasp nest in my backyard. When my dog walked over it the wasps swarmed second my dog and stung her many times. Richland Pest and Bee control came out the very next day and took care of it. I also then contracted with them to handle our carpenter ant treatments. They did not require the four times/yr. my previous pest control outfit required. They are more conservative, treating two times/yr. I am happy they do not treat unnecessarily. Everyone has been super polite, on time, and take care of the problem efficiently.

Very professional from the first call to the end of my service. Had a yellow jacket nest in a tarp and got stung over 15 times when I moved it. The staff explained what would happen when they got here as well as emailed me info. Jordan came out and was very professional. Explained everything and answered all my questions. When he left I felt much better about the situation. I will use Richland again if ever needed and will recommend them to everyone I know.

We had Yellow jackets that had made a nest inside the walls of our home 🫣 and were starting to come into the house thru ceiling lights. Richland Pest & Bee Control is the best out there for any of your needs regarding your home or business and keeping it free of whatever animals/insects may come your way. I have multiple friends who have utilized their services with glowing reviews and my own interaction with them was great. I had technicians James and Michael "Ross" come out to my home for mice. They did a thorough inspection inside and outside. They set traps inside and sealed some outside areas where there was mouse traffic. They even stopped by for a follow up inspection later because they were nearby in the area! There have been zero issues with mice since their inspections....summer and winter, so this was a huge plus in a home that had previous rodent issues all over the home. Most importantly they had fantastic customer service, friendly and informative, really good people that showed they cared and showed they were knowledgeable, no fluff. 5 stars no questions asked.

They informed me of all work that would need to be performed as well as to call back if there were any problems. What amazed me most for the 2nd time using them was the prompt and professional service. I was expecting to have to make an appointment but was informed that a tech was in the area. I agreed to the service and received a call from Chris a few minutes later. He was at my house 10 minutes later and done soon after. I can now hopefully mow my lawn in peace. Technician Chris Z arrived in time window, explained how he was going to take care of the yellow jackets nest, covered up a air vent near the area per my request, and proceeded to treat the nest. Chris was professional and strategized an approach to remove a hornet nest that was built over an exterior electrical outlet. Rather than spraying liquid at the nest where it was located, he killed the bees after knocking the nest down. Chris also closed the cover on another exterior electrical outlet at the other end of the house, which I very much appreciated. When he was done, Chris explained what he had done to remove the nest. I was very pleased with his work.

Matt was timely, professional and knowledgeable during the extermination and treatment of an exposed wasp nest that sat about 25 feet high on my roofline. He listened to specific concerns that I had about the effected area and tackled them to the best of his ability. He explained the benefits of the company's bee barrier service but was not at all pushy about closing a deal on it, which I greatly appreciated as I prefer to commit to things on my own time. I called Richland Pest & Bee Control early this morning. Kim has such a pleasing personality. She was genuinely concerned about the dangerous yellow jacket nest that needed to be removed. Her great customer service skills helped to put me at ease. The company's same-day service is appreciated more than I can express. Pest Management Professional Scott arrived in a very timely manner after calling to inform me that he was 15 minutes away. Scott was pleasant, professional, and thorough. Moreover, I was honored to know that he is a fellow military veteran. Despite the nest being in a tricky location, Scott was up for the challenge. He explained exactly what he was going to do and assured me that if need be, he would return. However, everything should be okay after approximately five days. The yellow jackets had infiltrated through window cracks, but not one has come in since Scott socked it to them. If you look up "woo hoo" in a dictionary, you just might find that "Leslie F." is a synonym. I am very pleased, indeed elated!

I was very concerned because I am allergic. I appreciated the time they took to explain all the options They had someone at my house in an hour and a half. Justin, the technician, was wonderful. So impressed with how fast this company came out to deal with my bee problem! I called about a nest that was made behind the siding of my house be our front door. It was causing issues bringing my dogs in and out. They were able to come out the same day to get rid of them. The entire experience from first call to application of treatments is entirely professional, friendly, and effective. First used them about 2 years ago for a major bee problem. They prepared me for what to expect following the treatment and what they said basically happened. Signed up for preventative maintenance for the following year and it was the first time in 18 years of being in our house that we had ZERO issues with bees or ants or spiders. We live in a heavily wooded area next to wetlands and have seen it all. They just came out today for our annual service. Donald Aliff was our service tech and he called us prior to arrival, rang the doorbell and introduced himself when he arrived, and took a walk around the house with me so I could point out some areas that might need some extra attention. He was quick and efficient and friendly. I should have done this 18 years ago. It would have saved me so much frustration ! Would highly recommend !!!

Wasps decided to take up residence in our roof, and Richland Pest & Bee Control helped us evict them. This was honestly a great experience. They called me with a quote within a few minutes of my inquiry. They were able to send someone out the same day (within a couple hours) and they took care of the issue. They explained everything they were going to do over the phone and what we should expect over the next few days. Then the technician explained it all again when he arrived, which I appreciated. I also appreciated that they took Covid related precautions and that the technician wore a mask the entire time (as did I while outside speaking with him). Great experience. I searched for a Pest control company in the West Hartford area and was delighted to find Richland Pest and Bee Control. I was also glad to see all of the great online reviews. After speaking with Michael, I could tell that I had called the right company. Michael was very friendly and walked me through the services and ways to treat moth infestations. I asked for a technician to come out today and was told that was not a problem (A big plus for that!) The technician (Andrew) arrived and was super nice and patiently listened to my problem. Andrew came up with a plan and really went above and beyond to help identify the best treatment solution for the issue. Andrew was so helpful!!! This company is great. Since we moved into the Vernon area in August last year we have used their services on 3 different occasions. First, we had a nest of wasps inside the wall of my house so they were coming inside the house. Richland came out and explained the wasp behavior and the treatment they would do to eliminate the problem. Unfortunately the wasps were in a very tough spot so these guys had to come out a few times to retreat (first time they came was a fair price in my opinion, retreats were done at a discount). This spring we called them again to come out and do the "bee barrier" to help prevent any more incidents like last year. We didn't have any problems around the perimeter of the house after that. 4 months later what we did have was a ground nest underneath our fish pond liner of all places. Once again, Richland came to the rescue. I was able to call and get service in the same day. The supervisor called me before they came back out to clarify details regarding the fish pond and explained the different options and how the chemicals could affect our fish. As promised, all activity in the nest area stopped within 48 hours and we could feel safe about our dogs playing in the backyard again. I definitely recommend utilizing this company if you have any bug, bee, or pest problem. They do what they say they will on a fair price and are great about fitting in appointments into busy schedules like my own. Hopefully we won't have to call again soon, but I am confident that if we have a bug problem I know who to call for help.

I would give this company 6 stars if I could! They went above and beyond any expectations I had. In my 6 years of owning my property we never had an issue with mice and we didn’t know how to handle it. RP&BC, specifically Joe Ball was the exterminator who mostly came in to take care of the house. He throughly went through the entire property from basement to attic to make sure no area was over looked. He was so easy to work with. He answered all the questions my tenets and I had and made us feel safe. They have successfully mitigated the issue and we are all extremely happy. We had a surge of carpenter ants enter our house this summer and after a week of failed store bought traps, we called Richland. Our pest expert, Justin, was very friendly and professional. The treatment only took about 15 minutes and is safe for children and pets after it drys. Each day we saw less and less ants until they were completely gone, about 5-6 days later. Pricing was also much more competitive than some of the other local exterminators. We highly recommend!

Very good experience with Richland Pest! We called on a Sunday for a hornets nest, and they said they were able to come the next day. Andrew called me on his way over to confirm I would be home, and he was perfectly on time. He explained what would be done and how long it would take for any stragglers to be gone for good. So I opted for the bee barrier service to cover the whole house and remove the nests. This was a much more cost effective option than treating the nests individually. Last summer, I had a problem with wasps on a property I had bought the winter before. I worked with a different exterminator who was very nice but just not effective in dealing with a very bad situation. Fortunately, I found Richland. They are both competent and kind. These guys are my heroes! Not only did they answer the phone at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon, something my previous pest control company did not do ("please leave a message", no I don't think so), but they dispatched a technician the following day. The problem was a HUGE wasp nest well hidden in a honeysuckle bush near where we hang out daily on our patio. Mary, who took my call initially, explained to me how to figure out if they were foraging bees or nesting bees, since I hadn't yet found the nest when I called. I appreciated the fact that she had my best interests in mind in avoiding a needless service call. The tech Justin, whom I dubbed the "bee whisperer" was thorough, personable, positive, upbeat and fast throughout the process. He explained what he was doing throughout the process and what we should expect in the coming day or two as the bees diminish. It's a huge plus for this company that they are 24/7. Justin from Richland Pest Control was awesome. We had a large paper wasp nest in the attic. He initially looked outside the house for a vantage point, knowing that being in the enclosed space while spraying the nest would be dangerous. No such luck, he had to go up to the attic while it was 90 degrees outside. He went right up, and 10 minutes later came down with the nest in a bag, and a look on his face like he had just been in battle. He said there were dozens of wasps all around the nest, and as soon as he sprayed, they all dropped into formation and were attacking him while he was balancing on beams in the unfinished attic, spraying individual attackers. By the look on his face it was not an average pest control visit but Justin took it in stride, and took care of the problem. 5 stars all around, professional, friendly, respectful, and skilled.

Highly recommend this company. We had a bee infestation, they came out the same day we called them. It turned out there wasn't a beehive but the bees were attracted to a tree that had formed berries. They couldn't spray since there was no nest, but they told us how to get rid of the bees by hosing down the area where the berries had fallen, and then they recommended us getting the tree removed. Technician arrived at about 1:00 pm. I showed him where I had encountered bees and got numerous stings. I went back in the house while he got suited up and inspected the area. He could not find any evidence of bees. He cleaned the area and then got me back outside to explain what he thought may have occurred. Had an issue with a yellow jacket nest in my wall. 8-10 bees a day in my house for 4 days. I saw where they were entering my foundation and tried to take care of it myself but no luck. I called Richland on a Sunday, received a return call from Sandy within 30 minutes. We scheduled a tech visit for the next day. Justin arrived on time and fully explained what the treatment was and what to expect as did Sandy the day before. Everything they told me happened as they explained. Within 3 days, there were no more signs of bees. I couldn't be happier with the professional and courteous service I received, at a very fair price. I highly recommend Richland and will use them for any pest control issues I have from now on.

I've never had a pest control issue before, and so when I found my apartment being overrun with bees I googled "pest control" and stumbled upon this company. Through some detective work I had found a yellow jacket nest in the siding of the apartment, and determined roughly how they were entering my living space. I was initially extremely frustrated, but Sandy talked me through the process and scheduled me an appointment for the next day (around my work schedule no less). Joel came to my apartment and was knowledgeable and friendly. He quickly sprayed the infested area and gave me all the information I needed for the future as far as how long to expect stragglers, when and why to call back if the issues persist. 5/5, good price, professional staff, treated me like a friend and not just a customer. Will absolutely call them again for any other needs

I used this wonderful company twice in one week! Once with wasps at our cottage and again with wasps at our home. I did not intend to have Devin come out in today's heat, but he was ready to spray and put the bee barrier on our house. I would definitely use this company again! Called today with a major bee problem and the tech(Jason Jarvis) came out within the hour. Very professional. Explained everything he was going to do and what would happen when he was done! Give Jason a TON of credit for what he does! Not a fun job dealing with the bees!
