When I tell you that Kyle at Orkin is THE guy you want for all inspection needs. He was on time, courteous, friendly, and he went above and beyond. He also had a gentleman named Gary with him that was fantastic as well. Kyle did a great job pointing out all the things I was anxious about. I now have my piece of mind back. Please give this guy recognition for his hard work. I manage multiple locations and own my own business. I know genuine customer service when I see it! One more time; Kyle is the guy you want at your house!

I’ve had a great experience with Orkin so far. When I called to make my first appointment and spoke to a representative (I think her name was Kayla?), I was given all the options in great detail so I could establish a plan based on my needs. They were able to come next day and Bradley did a general inspection & spray, removed a wasp nest, set traps, and killed the big spider that’s been haunting me for a week (lol).

Great service! Sprayed all rooms and outside around home. A little pricey for two visits, but cheaper than some others, and worth the peace of mind. They didn’t leave any spider traps like the company we used last year did, but I suppose I can buy them cheap enough.

The termite inspector was very knowledgeable about termites and their habits. He did a thorough inspection of our house, explaining the inspection and patiently answered all my questions. The termite exterminator was also very professional, again answering my questions, as he installed the bait stations. Using Orkin for pest control was a good experience and I have a high level of confidence the termites will be exterminated.

Due to not having easy access to baseboards until unpacking is complete, Brian treated the outside and told me to call back in a couple of weeks to have someone come out and finish the inside treatment with no extra charge. Brian was very professional and easy to talk to.

I’ve been trying the organic route to get rid of mice. Peppermint, sprays, so on. No luck. Called to schedule an inspection and was fortunate to get an appointment same day. Larry was professional, courteous and answered every question patiently. I’ve never dealt with mice before so was new to the treatment process. He placed sticky traps around the house, sprayed pet friendly spider treatment indoors and placed boxes outside to get the mice before they make their way into the house. Will use Orkin again!

Three stars because their spray works. But their customer service was terrible. They scheduled a appointment and then canceled it on us and made us reschedule because their person was on vacation so I made plans to be at home and had to change them. Then the lady who came made a mess of our basement kitchen with her little spider web cleaner thing. Was not very impressed at all

He took time to discuss the various services Orkin offers, and how we could potentially save money (which he knew was a concern), in these crazy times. He is very flexible with scheduling around my time and has been really responsive to any questions or concerns I have. He does a very thorough job and takes time if you have questions to explain what he is doing/applying. It has been a great experience and they give you a great deal if you pay in full for the year!

*** Updated review*** Since posting the first review, we’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Orkin. We’ve had two more inspections that were conducted for termite activity as well as an inspection of our attic space which found a bat infestation. The inspector was very kind and very professional. We paid in advance for years of monitoring outside termite traps. After 6 months of still finding termite activity, I had to call and ask for an inspection. They came out, spent 2 minutes (time was recorded on their invoice) checking one trap and said there was no evidence of termite activity in the trap and left. No date was given for the next inspection or a plan purposed to do something else. We’re not at all happy with the service so far and the remedy they installed is not working.

CH!LDS PLAY

I would leave 5 stars if it didn’t take 2 attempts at getting them out to my house. I originally set up up an appointment that apparently never got posted on their end so no one ever came out the first go around. When I called to ask what had happened they had no explanation so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. However, this rescheduled spraying didn’t occur either as my appointment had been “rescheduled” but I was not made aware of this. I was finally able to get them to come out for the initial spraying after 3 phone calls and almost 2 hours spent on the phone. I was never made aware that the second appointment I made had been rescheduled & knowing how well my other interactions with this company went, I probably never would have been serviced if I didn’t call back for a third time. I’m not a professional but none of my bedrooms or basement were sprayed which comes a bit of a concern since I mentioned I had seen ants in there. Like I said, I’m not a professional so maybe this was unnecessary however I find it odd I was questioned how many bedrooms there were in the home (it allegedly effected the price) if none were going to at the minimum be inspected.

set up the appointment after finding ants in the kitchen and getting the ant killer stuff from the hardware store, my puppy got into it, so I thought I would leave it to the pros. suuuuuper nice guy came to my house andni showed him the areas, he sprayed some stuff in the house and then sprayed the exterior, and took the time to answer the overwhelming amount of questions I had and was super professional about it the whole time. 10/10 am recommending to friends and family.

Called to have them come out and help us with our pest problem. Was told when I scheduled service that they would come out and do a full home inspection. Then set traps and bait as needed. Tech showed up to our house told my wife that this was a one year contract that we needed to sign. After my wife reviewed and signed the tech told her he did not have everything that he needed to complete the job at hand and that the inspector was someone completely different and we would have to schedule that seperatly. I was not overly happy but willing to give them a chance as we where told that what I was scheduling was the inspection. Honestly hoping I don't regret this

Fantastic experience! Saw a mouse in our house and got a next day weekend visit from Orkin! The tech in our area was very friendly, and knowledgeable. We have a medically fragile child in the home so when I asked him to remove shoes and use sanitizer, he was courteous and didn’t get that “huh?” look I sometimes get with service workers. Definitely would recommend.

Just moved into my new house and wanted to get a nice pest spray in before I moved all my things in. Like most people I can’t stand creepy crawlers. Orkin was on time for my appointment. Right from the start very welcoming by introducing himself. Very knowledgeable about what I wanted to be done and knew what kind pest I didn’t want in my new house. We went through the whole house and he pointed out what he was going to do. He also explained that what products Orkin uses is not harmful to humans and pets. They were very kind and non-judgmental about my pest situation, which was so embarrassing. They were thorough and told me everything that needs to be done and willing to work with my schedule to get it done. They will be here Saturday to start the termination process and I choose their option to follow up every other month for a years to ensure the problem is resolved and to have a peace of mind. This pest thing is stressful.

Absolutely love the service we get from Orkin. We’ve been using them for years now and are very happy. Tyler is our service guy and he’s extremely friendly and knowledgeable. What I love is that when you’re on their quarterly service schedule, you can call anytime an issue comes up between your regular service dates and they come out to deal with it free of charge. Tyler is super responsive and always gets to me in 24 hours or less whenever I call. He never makes me feel silly for the questions I ask or amount of times I call on occasion. Prime objective is to keep pests out of our home. Orkin does a good job doing that. That is why I gave them a 4 rating. Where they fall down is above the technician grade. Techs are great. Customer service needs improvement. Takes forever to have checks clear, no response to messages or voice mails, and no personnel in the office during the day. The problems I mentioned are probably not the fault of the middle management folks but those of the top policy makers. Hell of a way to run a business.

He did a good job but was told he be at my house between 12 and 2 and would call 30 min out. None happened. I call at 1:15 said he was on the way. Call at 2:15 because had not showed was told he was running late which I would have been ok with if I would have been notified early. Had my dad waiting at my house. He had to leave lucky enough my mother in law was able to sit the rest of the time. I was told when I called that after first appointment they would come back in 30 days then every other month for a year. But that is not the way I understood the notes that where left. I also was told that my contract would end in a year then I had to renew if I chose to...but in notes it will not end until I call.

Great people to work with! Took care of our field mice problem since we are surrounded by corn and bean fields. The account technician is very nice and very thorough. Took care of our mice problem in our garage and house in one visit, but we have Orkin out every other month for maintenance! The technician found the vent pipe where the mice were entering and fixed itI so the mice can't get in. It's totally worth hiring Orkin! I have had an Orkin come to my house for the last 20 years. I have an older home built in 19 09 so where there are many nooks and crannies that pests can get into. I do this as a preventative measure and they have been very good if I have a mouse or years ago I had a bat inside the house. All I had to do was call them and they came out and took care of the issues. Obviously since I've been with them for so long I do trust them and they do a great job. I would highly recommend

Orkin is the ONLY pest control company for our family. They are friendly, professional and really care about eradication of insects or whatever is the cause or causes of concern for your dwelling. They also use products which are safe for your fur babies if you have them and that is important to us. Our Orkin Specialist explains what he is doing and why also offering tips to help us avoid future problems. Life is much less stressful with a professional handling this situation. He took care of three big wasp nests that were right along where we have to walk. Those wasps had been terrorizing our dogs and us for weeks. What a relief! I love orkin. They are affordable, work around my schedule, trustworthy and their chemicals actually work. I had a swarm of sugar ants all over my kitchen counters every night. The previous summer I struggled with the mosquitoes oh man were they bad I would get at least 20 bites in like 5 mins taking my dog out. The orkin man does well, but every fall I seem to have flea bites. I've lived here since summer 2017, it's been a battle every fall, I get bites on my hands, my legs that dont heal, and cause sores that last forever. From last fall I still have sores that have scabs on them, but the sores never heal. I have gone to Dr's as in plural. I have informed the orkin man to spray all, till the very back fence, I have 1/2 acre here in the cow town of Perry, IA. Why do I keep having flea problems. The only thing I can think of is that my neighbor east of me was feeding all the ferrel cats. And he informed me that he had a flea problem, that was three years ago, so he has never sprayed, had Orkin spray, laid out pellets or NOTHING. My feeling is that his yard is filled w/fleas and who knows what else. I'm getting the fleas from his yard. My personal dont get them at all, they wear collars, they are good. But how the hell do I get rid of these nasty things. They are not joggers! That I know!!

He is a nice young man, and an excellent representative of your company. I sure wish we had more of this kind of service and respectful attitude every other place I frequent.
