We had a raccoon break into our attack just before New Years, and finding someone to help over the holiday break was no easy feat. Brendan responded to our inquiry right away, and scheduled a time to come out, assess the situation and provide a quote the following morning. Brendan was always on time, response and polite. We scheduled a time for him to come out his next available slot to install a one-way door and evict the raccoon, and thanks to Brendan our problem has been solved! Brendan was also fast in replacing the one-way door with a permanent solution and confirming the raccoons had in fact left, when we got a request from our contractors to access the attic for a renovation in progress. Overall, we couldn't recommend Brendan and Best Known Pest Control enough! Will be using him in the future, for future pest needs!

When he came for inspection he was very professional. He used booties when came inside for inspection which I really liked as not other companies do that! He gave me a reasonable price and 2 years warranty to make sure next year in bat season I would not have issue again! When it came to extermination, he installed cones and sealed the roof. I will definitely recommend them and use their service again if I have any pest issues.

We had ant issues (seeing at least 20 per day) in our townhome and called Best Known Pest Control based on the number of good reviews. It was honestly the best call we have ever made. Brendan was very professional, personable and knowledgeable about the issue we were facing and the potential treatment solutions. He had to visit our property twice and was extremely responsive and prompt to come out shortly after our phone call. He went above and beyond to expose and treat all infected areas and even vacuum and bag up trash. I would give Brendan 10 stars if I could and his level of customer service is top notch. From what he could tell it was carpenter ants, sure enough about 2 days after he sprayed there was a ton of dead carpenter ants where he treated. He was very responsive to my calls and concerns. He was able to humanely remove the five pups using his custom made wildlife box with heating pad. Mom came out later and retrieved the babies and they’ve been out of our life since! I can’t recommend Best Known Pest Control enough. I came home one evening and heard quite a bit of activity in my attic. I reached out to Brendan, and he was able to quickly determine that the source of all the commotion was bats. He put together a proposal and talked me through the steps he would take to remove my unwanted house guests. Within a day or two, the noises had subsided, and the bats were gone. Brendan also took a look around the exterior of the house and pointed out potential entry points for other pests. He made recommendations on how address those issues and took care of most of them for me. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the work that was done.

He came out the next day following my initial call for an estimate and he ended up doing the job that same day. He put up a one way exit door and several mesh screens to seal holes. He was also very responsive to messages and reassuring as to how they will be persistent in trying to get back in. He set up the follow up appointment to check things out and make sure there are no more holes or signs of reentry. Going forward, I am under a 1 year Warranty which is really great. Some other services only offered 6 months and they were much more expensive. Overall, I am very pleased with Brendan’s service, honesty and professionalism. He came out promptly and did a thorough and methodical inspection, asked the right questions and gave us a very helpful explanation of what he was doing and why. He went into a crawl space and discovered...a bat. To his credit, he said if there were more bat visitors, he did not himself do major anti-bat work but referred us to someone who did. I highly recommend contacting BKP Control for your service. Brendan is very professional and knowledgeable in what he does. We contact him for squirrels in our attic due to the noise against the wall but it turns out it was majority of mice. Haven't heard any noise since but we still need to get our squirrels take care of. He was honest and didn't want to take the chance of going up our roof due to the structure and it was not safe. Gave us recommendation on how to get rid of the squirrels. All in all very reasonable price and great follow up!

He told me he was going to make a custom one way door for my chimney so that we could humanely remove them from it. Took a few measurements and was back the next day with it. I found this company on the internet when I was getting quotes for our victorian house and spoke with Brendan to schedule a time to remove a bald-faced hornet nest from out building ( my skin is still crawling every time I talk or think about it). As a long-time homeowner, I have dealt with many alleged professionals who have provided sub-standard services. Finding Best Known Pest Control has been a bright spot. Squirrels had taken over my attic space,. I found Brendan online, and was immediately impressed by his website, more informative than others I had visited, and full of photos showing the scope of his work, as well as his attention to detail. The day after my initial call, one of the most frigid of last winter, Brendan came to inspect my roofline. I signed a contract which included on-going inspections throughout the year. Brendan installed cages with one-way doors to allow the squirrels to leave, and not return. He came back in a few weeks to remove the cages, and to securely seal up the areas with strong mesh screening. After Brendan left, the only squirrels I heard were the ones that were left chattering outside, unable to access any of their previous entry points. Months later, the squirrels and their noises are still gone. It is quite amazing to have peace and quiet overhead in my home! As a veteran, he brings that same clearness of eye, precision, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability to his work. He is beyond professional, and takes the time to answer any and all questions. My first interaction-I called every company on my local community page because we had a bird that flew down our chimney into our fireplace. Best known pests was highly recommended. Brendan missed my call and another local company came and grabbed the bird. Brendan called me back within an hour of my initial call. I explained to him what happened and we got to talking. He came out to my house the next day(he could have been there the same day, but the bird was gone and there was no rush anymore!) and measured for a chimney cap to prevent his from happening again. His price was the fairest by FAR and he did the work himself. Next, I ended up having him come out to just have our home covered for the usuals, since we live in a wooded area. Occasionally, we would see an ant but nothing alarming. One day, we woke up to a living room of ants. Brendan was here within a day and tried multiple different options and places. Squirrels have been in my attic for probably a year, the noise was getting more noticeable so when I reached out to Best Known Pest Control they assured me there was a humane way of removing the squirrels. Best Known Pest Control was a pleasure to deal with and, most importantly, solved our squirrel issue in a humane and efficient way. We own an old three-family house in Newton and I’ve had to work with many contractors and tradesmen over the years. Brendan stands out as one of the most responsive and reliable I’ve dealt with. Our third floor tenant made us aware of scratching sounds she heard in the attic. I contacted a few different pest companies online, but I was drawn to his positive reviews and his description of a military background. He came over (on time!!) and informed us that our extra tenant had set up his own pad in the crawl space. Instead of setting up traps, he offered to set up a one way door and fix the hole the squirrel had made in the roof, as well as shore up other potential problem areas. That way, we wouldn’t have to worry about the poor guy suffering or dying in a trap. For some reason mice started to run in my kitchen and attic again and I had seen them almost every day in the past weeks. My glue board didn’t really catch any and I had to call for a pro to work on this. Brendan responded with the upfront and transparent pricing, with a plan of attack. Brendan at Best Known Pest Control was the first person I called regarding a new issue I had in my home with flies. I had spoken with Brendan once before with questions I had about baby ants & he told me to call anytime I had questions. I thought they were fruit flies as that is what they looked like. I had done all the home DIY remedies that included Apple cider vinegar with dish soap to trap & kill them. He returned my message almost immediately & told me that it didn’t sound like fruit flies because of how I described they were in multiple parts of the home & I had no food left out. We continued to communicate by text as I sent him pictures of the issue I had and needed to identify what I was dealing with. He never complained or came across as being annoyed at any time. All pest control places I called following my communication with Brendan in an attempt to find a place that treated for flies were not able to help in any way except to tell me it was a source issue & could not be treated. Brendan also told me it was a source issue but helped me to figure out the source with questions he asked & the time he took speaking to me. He offered to come out to identify the issue but couldn’t get to me for a few days. A few days was far less than any other place I called but I didn’t wnat to wait a few days as anyone who has dealt with insects in the home knows. I couldn’t figure out what the source was until I knew what kind of flies they were. Brendan walked me thru finding the source, eliminating possibilities. I had no idea how many types of flies existed that look similar to fruit flies. A couple days later, I got a close up picture of one fly that was taking up so much of my time and my thoughts. Brenden immediately identified the type of fly as the picture when zoomed in, showed the whole body of the fly including the colors, stripes, etc. he never got annoyed with all my questions & allowed me to vent with my disgust of what was occurring. After he identified the fly, he explained to me what could cause this which was either a dead animal in the walls or a clogged drain pipe. This made it easier for me to figure out the next step. The next step was to call plumber. I called my plumber & he cane out later that day & checked my drains & a few other things. It ended up being my garbage disposal needed to be replaced. I just moved in less than a year ago so had no idea how old it was. It is being replaced today but thanks to Brendans patience and willingness to help me as well as his knowledge of many issues, I was able to deal with my problem much easier. I cannot thank him enough & Brendan will always be my first call if needed in the future. I wanted to pay him for his time but he refused because he didn’t come to my home but in my opinion, he spent enough time dealing with my issue that he should have been compensated. I would recommend Best known Pest Control to anyone.

I used BK Pest after suspecting mice in our attic. We signed up for the annual treatment for mice and general insect prevention for spring/fall. BK quickly identified where the mice were getting in and made sure that they were removed from the house. He also made sure to block all possible entrances inside/outside the house. We haven’t had any issues since working with BK!!! Overall, it’s been a great experience and we’re extremely happy working with Brendan at BK! He’s super knowledgeable and a great guy—highly recommend to anyone looking for pest control!
