American Pest has professional, friendly, efficient, reliable staff. They notify the customer in advance of each monthly inspection to give the customer an opportunity to ask for special services. They come out more than once a month if needed, at no extra charge. They send receipts promptly.

The tech that came out, Eugene Jackson was great! The moment he came in, he was able to assess all the potential places the rodents were coming in and quickly fix those areas. This call was originally supposed to be an emergency call for a yellow jacket infestation that somehow got in my bedroom through my ceiling and in my room. I called 4 companies today and all but three said they would actually remedy the situation. The first company that came left and said they couldn’t resolve the situation. Barry from American Pest then called me unexpectedly, answering a call that I thought was dead in the water. Thank you Jamie (I think that’s who took my call) scheduled my appointment with a technician that is experienced (Barry), knowledgeable and got the job done. He exceeded my expectations with being empathetic to my situation and caring for the welfare and health of my feathered and furbabies by ensuring they were in the house prior to treating the house and explained the process to me in depth, detailed to the point, but didn’t overwhelm me with info. He explained the steps, amount of visits etc., things to look out for and any emerging issues to call for service. A++ for American Pest and thank you for your service!

From my first phone call, I was impressed. Customer service is above and beyond, the type you don't find anywhere anymore. As a former CSR trainer for two Fortune 500 companies, I am normally disappointed by interactions with any service providers, but the gentleman who answered my first call was excellent and I signed up. Other pest control companies require a contract, but with American Pest you can cancel at any time. Very professional, knowledgeable, friendly technicians. You are allowing these strangers into the recesses of your home: the bedrooms and bathrooms, the closets, the storage areas, everywhere, and they make you feel very comfortable. Clear instructions on how to keep pets and children safe. Also, I have a cat and two large but sweet puppies and the guys were not afraid of them. They were careful to not let the cat out and ensured my pets didn't get near the pesticide. I've used two other pest control companies and American Pest has the highest level of professionalism in every way. I haven't seen a bug inside since we began using them. 5 stars.

I did a pre-examination of the inside of my home and discovered several openings/holes. During my visit the gentleman who serviced my home filled all the openings that I previously discovered. He also performed his own inspection. He looked for mouse droppings inside and outside my home and he also searched for additional openings that would allow a rodent to gain access to my home. He laid traps and sprayed outside my house. Because he could not gain access to my crawlspace (water), he placed a deterrent device outside the opening to the crawlspace. The service provider was professional, on time, courteous, and attentive to my concerns and questions.

Ant hills were remedied, he was very informative, answered a few questions and took time in applying the pesticides - as well as eliminating bees nests on my deck. Mark is fantastic! He provides excellent service with a personal touch. Last year he helped us eliminate a problem with carpenter ants that took several tries before we found their entry point. Both the lady who answered the phone, and the gentleman, Billy, to whom she transferred me to, went above and beyond in terms of knowledge, courtesy, and expertise. I had a maintenance contract with Triple S Pest control that was bought out by American Pest. When I received my last bill, it did not contain the discount for paying in full on time. I spoke with James at American Pest and the issue was resolved. (A bit of an increase in yearly fee but acceptable). Also, their work has always been top notch. Thorough and on time. I recommend highly. It was so great of them to grandfather my discount in.

American Pest has some of the nicest employees I've ever interacted with. The dispatcher, or whoever answers the phone when you call to set up an appointment, was very attentive and stayed on the line for quite a while to get a full idea of the problem I was asking. The technician they sent was very knowledgeable about the pests I was having problems with, in this case mice, and never tried to up-sell me on anything, even instructing me how to do everything myself if I didn't want to go with their services. They sealed all of the entry points, placed bait and traps, and were all in all the most pleasant and professional company of the three I contacted for my issue. Would recommend to anybody looking for pest control services.

I searched for a pest control company because of the following: I heard scratching noises in my attic. I wanted to get a company that listens to my reasons for calling them, make sensible suggestions, perform reliable inspection, remediation, safe solutions, that would not harm or affect my pets. I wanted follow up appointment within a reasonable time frame after initial 1st visit, with actions to sincerely provide realistic solutions, that would lead to solving or eliminating the pest problem at no additional cost...I waited to provide my comments, because I wanted to see if this company would deliver on at least some of my expectations...I have to say, so far, so good. I feel this company techs and other representatives are not just trying to get my $$$, but they want to perform the service they advertise. I believe I may be able to solve the scratching problem by following the tech suggestion, and even if I stop the service after the problem is solved I will be glad to refer this company to others and use again in the future as needed.

American Pest sent their most experienced person who was more than willing to walk the grounds and share his vast knowledge and experience with us. American Pest Control has been wonderful, since using them, we have not had any problems or issues in the last few years. Hoping to have the same success after the merger with American Pest. The great thing is now they cover all levels of the home. In the past, they would only service the outside and basement level primarily. They would not spray upstairs. I also like that the new spray used does not leave residue on my refinished hardwood floors. But now they service the entire house and I am hoping that will keep the household insects, especially the spiders in check this summer season. The technicians are always friendly and helpful. My primary request would be for them to use coverings for their shoes when entering our home.

American Pests services provides timely, excellent monthly service for the successful management of controlling/reducing mosquitoes and ticks around the outside of our home. They consistently send you reminders of your next application and follow up with an email of service performed and if any concerns were noted. In my opinion, American Pest is the best pest management company available in the Baltimore/Washington Metro area. I use the Fulton, MD location. Their technicians are friendly, prompt & knowledgeable. The American Pest management plan for my residence has been extremely effective in treating carpenter ants & bees as well as other typical pests such as sugar ants. In addition, the cost of my 4 times a year treatment plan is extremely reasonable. I highly recommend American Pest for all types of pest control.

American Pest has been terrific, and that's saying a lot coming from someone who freaks at the sight of even 1 bug in my house. They have come out MULTIPLE times in between scheduled sprayings to deal with various bugs that I've had issues with, and they are always able to solve the problem. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they have a lot more technicians in MD than VA (where I live), so sometimes it can take days before American Pest is able to send a tech out to our house. I think they are working on getting someone dedicated to NOVA though. But every tech who has come out to the house has been super friendly and taken care of my bug problems!

Ian Agulto is unsurpassed in the service he provides. He goes beyond the call of duty in taking the time to check every little space in the house, including pulling out the bottom drawer of the stove to check under and behind it and opening all the doors to behind the wall storage to inspect every crack and crevice. He listens intently to my concerns, does everything I ask of him, and has the most compassionate heart. He genuinely understands my phobia of certain bugs and does everything in his power to keep them out. His knowledge, caring attitude and high character are impressive. Updated review: My technician Jay didn’t show up for the scheduled appointment today, 6 Nov 2019 despite American Pest sending me 2 reminder emails that my appointment was between 4 & 6PM. No show and no call and this is the third or fourth time this has happened with Jay. Unreliable! Also didn’t answer my call and his voicemail is full. Needless to say, as long term customers we expect to at least be notified if the technician doesn’t intend to show. It doesn’t take much to notify the customer that the technician doesn’t plan to show

Can't speak more highly of American Pest! After trying another company to eliminate a mouse problem in a resale home I gave them a call and they were able to arrange appointment same week. Irvin was the tech and right away he noticed entry points and areas of concern the other company hadn't. He also showed me where the other companies traps didn't have any bait in them and could tell they never did. The other company didn't seal any of the holes but Irvin sealed them all. He also found a termite problem that neither the other pest company found nor the home inspector. I'm very pleased with their services.

My review is of the bed bug removal offerings. I did not elect to use this company because they are essentially charging $350 to upwards of thousands of dollars simply for spraying the liquid chemicals. ALL room preparation, moving of furniture, vacuuming, bagging and washing of clothes, linens, drapes, etc. is done by the customer. Their policy states that they cannot complete the pest removal without this prep work. In my opinion, you should be getting a lot more service than simply applying the liquid chemicals for this price. I can order the same, or similar, chemicals online for a fraction of the cost since I'm doing all the rest of the work myself anyway!

American Pest bought out Greenstar, the pest company that I had signed up with. Greenstar was a good company. I was satisfied with their service and their low prices. American Pest continues to be a very good service provider. This past month I noticed that a termite monitoring station placed by Greenstar showed signs of having been eaten by insects. I called American Pest and they sent out a technician to inspect the stations. The technician explained that what I had seen was deterioration of the wood in the station. She replaced all of the stations around the house with newer more substantial ones. The technician also inspected the basement to confirm that there were no signs of termites. There were no extra charges for any of this; all included with the quarterly treatment price. So far I am impressed with American.
