My family and I had a bed bug infestation issue on and off for the past couple years. We tried traditional treatments such as bed bug bombs from Home Depot and "professionals"... we had no luck. I did my research and came across heat treatments for eradicating bed bugs. I found Highland Eco Pest Control and discovered that they provided heat treatments. They have great reviews and I decided to give them a call. Within a few days they came and did the K-9 inspection. The K-9 (Freddy, a very good boy) found live bed bugs in one bedroom and the living room where we suspected they were. Julia was the specialist who brought Freddy to our home and she was a delight. Answered all my many questions, was thorough, patient, and kind. The price for our 2,064sqft house to be treated was reasonable and below most quotes I received from other places. I received follow-up calls/texts about my treatment which I greatly appreciated. It's been two months since the initial treatment and there have been no signs of bedbugs at all. My family and I are ecstatic about sleeping peacefully at night. We are so grateful to Highland Eco Pest Control for their incredible customer service and effective treatment. We would recommend them for any of your pest control needs!

I initially called Highland Eco Pest Control for bed bug extermination treatment for the homeless shelter that I work for. The owner came and discussed treatment and then scheduled it right away. They used canines to inspect everywhere and then treated the rooms that they found bedbugs in. We found no additional bedbugs after the treatment. Several months later when I was looking for a new company to provide our monthly preventative pest control treatments, I gave them a call. From day one they have done a fantastic job. Everyone who works here, from the people that answer the phones, services technicians, etc., are all super responsive and friendly. I have been really happy that I switched to them because this is one less thing that I don't have to worry about each month. I would highly recommend using them. You won't be sorry.

I contacted Highland Eco Pest Control to perform an inspection for bed bugs after I became concerned about the possibility of bringing them from my job as a home inspector. They were responsive and Julia arrived the next business day ON TIME with her dog to inspect. Julia was, happy to talk about the process and share her knowledge with me as I had many questions! Julia was thorough as she methodically inspected the house along with her certified dog who sniffs for the bed bugs. At the end of the inspection, I was confident in her assessment and did pleased withHighland that I contracted them to do a general pest inspection for me as well. Johnny came out and was stellar. Joe was so knowledgeable and the second he got here was right to work trying to solve the mouse problem in my apartment! I described that my landlord had been relying on the condo association exterminator for months, who was lay traps when he was around, but not addressing the underlying problem. I called Highland Eco Pest Control and were able to fit me in same day. This was the best customer experience I've had in a long time and Joe really took his time to answer all my questions and walk me through what is happening. We have had highland eco pest service for over a year. I am very pleased with Joe and his service. He was the first one who did a evaluation in our home and set a plan for pest control. He was so knowledgeable professional and friendly, answered all my questions and concerns. Today he is here for follow up and maintenance service, He sealed / clogged the baseboards at the basement to prevent ants / insects to get into the house. We live in Alexandria which is constantly wet and Soggy during the summer months. We have massive pest infestations around our house being that our yard is quite sizeable. Every year we try to different company until we landed on Highland Pest Control. Highland was actually able to take care of the problem where all the other companies failed. I had a really large hornets nest placed in an awkward position between two homes. Scott was able to remove it in a safe and efficient way. Two other companies previously attempted to remove it with only an extended pole and they could not. They were professional, responsive and answered all of our questions about a safe removal. Julia and her dog Puma came to inspect our house the day after I contacted the company. Julia was very professional and considerate. She explained what she was going to do and answered all of our questions. We had found a bug in our house that a different company identified as a bed bug. We contacted Highland Eco Pest Control because they specialize in bed bugs and have the bed bug sniffing dogs. The bug in question turned out to be a beetle but we still had Julia and her super cool dog, Puma, inspect the house. They were extremely thorough. I felt confident that the inspection was accurate. Julia put our bed bug fear to rest and gave us peace of mind, which is priceless. We would highly recommend this company.

So it's been 6 weeks since Highland treated my apartment for bed bugs. They were top notch. Very responsive to my initial phone calls inquiring about how they would treat my apartment if I chose them. The owner, Jesse was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient. When I eventually signed up with them their technician Joe was right on time. He answered tons more questions patiently, did the service, and when he was done came out and gave me a rundown of what he found, what he did, and how I should proceed. Everything was great. And so far, 6 weeks later (and 3 weeks after their scheduled follow-up treatment) I haven't had any more bedbugs. None! I would use these folks again for any kind of pest they tend to in a heart-beat!

Highland were working at a neighboring property so I asked them about an ant infestation issue. They provided great advice and were able to come sort the problem the same day. I had an issue with a mouse that had somehow gotten into our house. I called Highland and they were able to come out immediately, assess the problem, and put a solution in place. In less than a day they were able to capture the mouse and remove it. Continued service with them to make sure no other rodents were spotted and the techs were very responsive to questions and flexible when I needed to change the time of day of service. Very professional and friendly people that provided great service. I would recommend them for any extermination needs you may need!

I first contacted Highland because of their positive reviews and Eco service. We run an Airbnb in Arlington, VA, and received a rare complaint from our guests about crickets and odd bugs. This was a first for us, so we wanted to work with a company that provided an alternative to the toxins most companies use. We’re a household with dogs, and welcome pups regularly as guests; we also have lots of wildlife visiting the property from the surrounding woods. Jerrel was our tech, and he gave us a thorough examination of our property. He found virtually no live insect activity indoors, but he treated the house and rental flat thoroughly with all-natural essential oils and sealed any possible points of entry. We purchased a headboard from a company online that was infested with bed bugs (unbeknownst to us). A few months later, we noticed bites on our arms and legs and upon close inspection of the headboard, saw that there were tons of bed bugs in one corner of it in all stages of life - so nasty!! We called several places to take care of the problem and ultimately chose Highland Eco Pest control because the owner, Jesse was sensitive to our concerns and seemed very knowledgeable about bed bug removal, was very accommodating to our scheduled and getting the problem taken care of. They also offered competitive pricing. They did a canine inspection first and located the problem area and then came and exterminated the bugs using heat and chemical treatment. Bought two old suitcases in a State Sale and when I was cleaning found a dead bug inside We called 2 places in our area (with good reviews) their quotes were hundreds of dollars affirming that it was a bed bug larvae. On a Sunday afternoon Highland Eco pest control were so attentive to details and made sure that it was not a bed bug, just a carpet beetle, they even gave me tips on how to clean the suitcases. Highland Eco Pest is amazing. I called with a bed bug infestation in my new house, and they came out the next day. Three days later we had my house heat treated, and they got rid of the bugs. A few weeks after that I was still showing residual bites (who knew bed bug bites can still show up weeks after they actually bit?) They came right away and did another inspection, and reassured me that what I was seeing was just a delayed effect and there are no new bugs. I hope I don't have to call them again, but 10/10 service and if I know of anyone else with bed bug problems I will be referring them to Highland Eco Pest Control.

From the beginning, Jason, the rep we reached out to at HEPC, was so nice, not pushy at all. We had just bought a 100-year-old house, so even tho it was only ants now, who knows what was next. It made total sense for us to sign up for their year-round protection program. The exterminator, Jerrell, arrived on time a couple days later, and after listening to our problem and a thorough home and yard inspection, he applied safe products for us, our cats and our young son to be around. Highland provided a thorough inspection of 1 bedroom, bed, springs, mattress, mattress cover, bedspread, and sheets. She also closely inspected two sofas, seat cushions, and sorrounding areas downstairs. She found no evidence of bedbugs or fleas. She showed me photos of what she was looking for, and we were satisfied that there were no signs at the present time. She provided information on pet - related preventive measures and suggested I get the overdue vet exam. Thoroughly professional service!

I had a very good experience with this company. I had found one bed bug in my house after a hospital stay. I waited for signs of more but there never were any. I called for piece of mind and when they came they dint find anything. I was still kind of doubtful so I called Jesse the owner and he talked to me for over 15 minutes and offered to come do another inspection at no charge That was a huge relief when Jesse himself came to do the inspection. We signed up for the pest and mosquito control, and it has made a huge improvement! Previously we'd get eaten alive by mosquitoes, but now we can enjoy our backyard without worrying. We also had a lot of ants, which are pretty much gone now. The front office and technicians are friendly and responsive. They even took care of carpenter bees in our deck the last time they came for mosquito control. Would highly recommend!

I run the operations for a housing company in the DC area and we have lots of problems with bugs in some of the older buildings we work in. I have used a few pest control companies and none of them seems to care about what they are doing. Spraying chemical as fast as they can without taking the time to even look around at what they are doing. But Joe from Highland pest Control was so good looking at all of the areas bugs could come in, listening to what we had done in the past inspecting every room not just the ones we needed to spray. Giving advice on how to best close up gaps in balcony doors all so helpful! My rating of the company 10/10 my rating of Joe 12/10. Will be using from here on out!

I really thought that I had bedbugs. Julia came promptly at scheduled time with VanGogh, the bedbug sniffing dog. Both were wonderful, thorough and the bottom line was no evidence of bedbugs. I was relieved and impressed. Many companies would have suggested treatment for a problem that didn't exist.Having double confirmation, man and dog, was reassuring and they both were very pleasant. Would have loved to have kept Van Gogh. I would recommend them for honesty, thoroughness and the dog.

Thought I had bedbugs and called in Highland Eco Pest Control (aka Superior Bed Bug Solutions). There weren't any indicators of bed bugs in my room but something was biting me. I scheduled the dog inspection, as I was looking for the most accurate. My place was given a thorough inspection but turned up negative. I know there are no 100% tests but I felt better knowing this. All my questions were answered and I ended up buying a good quality mattress encasement from them, and was told to check in if there still was a problem, and that they'd be happy to come back. In addition to the encasements I put ClimbUps on the legs of my bed and covered my room in Diatomaceous Earth and waited a few weeks. Got a few bites initially and now down to none. Still not sure what was biting me (never found any bugs) but it hasn't returned (could have been part of a local chigger outbreak). Regardless, I had a great experience with Highland Eco and would recommend them to anyone.

This is our second year with mosquito spraying from Highland Eco. We started mid season last year and at the beginning of the season this year. Before last year, we couldn’t use our yard or even sit on our porch because the mosquitoes were prolific. Since then, we rarely see them! I think I’ve seen just one this year! I just ran from my car to a client’s mailbox to pick something up. I was out of my car and on their property for about 30 seconds and got four mosquito bites! Contacted Highland Eco Pest Control to investigate possible bed bugs. From start to finish Jessie and team where extremely professional and timely. Jessie was able to come out same day with his dog (Angle), happily after an exhaustive search Angle could not find any evidence of a bed bug investation. Jessie discussed possible options/methods to monitor in the rare case they missed a bed bug and for other pests. Additionally, he called me a week later to discuss how the region is experiencing a high number of Oak Mite (bugs that eat cicada larva) and their bites resemble those of bed bug. Appreciate the timeliness, follow through, and honestly. Would recommend their service if you find yourself wondering if you have bed bug or just the humble oak mite.
