You ever bend aluminum bars? Aluminium has no fatigueable limit so eventually it breaks. Similarly, barre felt easy for the first couple reps under small load or body weight but the cumulative effect under repetition was chsllenging. Instructor leads you through these repeated, sharp micro-movements to load muscles with tremendous fatigue, but without tearing the actin-myosin crossbridges completely. Probably better for general health / conditioning than working with free weights, and a good change of pace especially if you are dancy. Won’t build any impressive mass doing this. One thing barre excels at is core work. I don’t know any other workout that hit every later or muscle in the abdomen as effectively. Also, I enjoy loud music and she played it just loud enough to be fun but still hear her movement cues.

I have been doing Pure Barre since I moved to Delaware 3 years ago. The instructors challenge and motivate you in every class and create a community feel. I have formed several friendships outside of the studio. I have seen many transformations in my body and I would recommend Pure Barre to anyone who is looking for a great workout.

I joined Pure Barre Greenville a few years ago. It has been great experience since day one. Everyone there is very friendly and nice. Teachers are professional and very encouraging. They provide modifications or challenge you accordingly. I always have great work out. My day won’t be complete without my 6am barre class in Pure Barre Greenville!

I’ve being going to Pure Barre In Greenville for a little over a year now and love it! The studio is kept extremely clean, they always have the cutest outfits on sale, and the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable - now that I’m pregnant they’ve even helped to give me modifications for different exercises. I love being a part of the pure barre members and the variety of classes keeps my interest and helps me stay fit!
