Not only was she friendly and helpful but she really encouraged me to be optimistic about getting back in the swing of working out. I highly recommend this place if your looking for a fresh start!!!

If you're looking for cardio this is the place to be. Tons of cardio machines multiple styles of treadmills, two kinds of elliptical, bicycles (I'd sumi. Free weights and machine weights are offered on a limited basis. About 2 types of each machine. . No rowing machines though. The black card lounge had only LOUNGE massagers, they are NOT beds (where you fully lay down) They also have the massage coistyle chairs if that is your go to. Both standing and lay town tanning beds. Small locker room. Bring your own wipes as this is a busy gym and the paper towels run out fast. Overall good staff and great team atmosphere.

This is hands down the best Planet Fitness in all of New Castle County, the staff are unmatched and are very friendly compared to the other surrounding locations. I would highly recommend this place for sure.

Even though my main membership is in NewCastle, I prefer this location. I love the surrounding area, the river and walking trail in the back. The staff are friendly, great really. I appreciate the "older equipment" here. The reason being I had shoulder surgery a long time ago that limits my rotation. This equipment does not put my shoulder in a comprising and Uncomfortable position, where the newer equipment at other clubs does. So please keep this equipment! Also the club is always clean and staff routinely cleaning. Keep up the good work!

They do a pretty good job. I didn't learn about the hydro and massage chairs until I went to another gym. If they had given me a tour they would have sold me on it. When they put up the social distance signs they could hide the the tape to make the appearance more tidy. We don't pay a lot for the membership but I think those little things go a long way.

If there was a more updated Planet fitness closer to my home I would go there instead. I literally had to try 3 elliptical machines to find one that didn’t click or rock while moving. Then their ab equipment screeches loudly and doesn’t have a smooth pull. But I can say the staff actively cleans there.

Nice gym... You get great perks with the black card membership for a good price.. the only thing I wish would change is for them to have less treadmills and to have more weights and weight machines... I don’t think they have a sauna room (I could be wrong though). Also I thought this place would be bigger than what it is... but other than that, the workers there have great customer service :-) going to try the other location on Farrand Drive being that they’re both the same distance from my house.

Very nice staff, exceptionally clean, even prior to COVID. This is not my "home" gym but it is one I visit consistently. It doesn't have some of the more elaborate equipment like kettle bells, battle ropes or different varieties of pull up bars but it has the basics for a small city gym. The "Black Card" area is decorated nicely and reminds me of a beach resort, which is a fun bonus.

Love coming here, but If you’re gonna advertise that your 24 hours with the exception of closing for sanitation for an hour, than be open. Came here at 330-4am and buildings closed. 2nd time this week.

Machines always available, staff friendly. 24/7 is super convenient. Did have an awkward encounter where a unapologetic Male employee came into women's changing room without asking if it was occupied. Giving lower rating regarding cancellation policy, charged annual $39 fee on day of cancelling (moving to another state) even though emailed receipt said no additional charges. Manager not willing to excuse charge despite always paying on time. Unsure if I will resume membership at this gym.

I left this gym a year ago because of all the staffing issues. I am happy to say I am back and the new staff is amazing! I take the training classes...the trainer Randy is awesome. Also I like that Jeff or Dave are always available for any questions you may have. This makes my gym experience awesome. Thank you guys!!!

I’ve gone here a few times so far this year and I love it! The location is super easy to get to and the parking lot always has plenty of parking. The gym is extremely well lit and the music isn’t too loud. You can even grab some tootsie rolls at the front counter for a quick snack before or after working out. They have a little sitting area near the locker rooms. The locker rooms have plenty of lockers available, though remember to bring your own lock. There are showers and bathroom stalls. The gym is huge and has plenty of equipment options. I love to do my cardio on one of the bikes and I plug my headphones in and watch an episode of tv. I definitely recommend this gym!

The staff is friendly, membership is reasonable and it truly is a non judgmental workout place. People respect each other. Can't wait for the construction to be done in the locker rooms though, only drawback to the place but if you don't need to shower or store stuff there then it won't impact you at all

Adequate machines,free weights, and cables. However, not really well taken care of. The place has been filthy for weeks now. Remember when they used to raise the treadmills and clean? The dust is caking on the floor with every drop of sweat. I've walked passed the same empty Quicky Mart coffee cup 3 days in a row. The sanitizer bottles are either broken or empty and the same for the paper towels. At least the people are cleaning up after themselves.... The workers gather at the desk or keep their heads buried in their phones. Wonder if they are keeping track of the reviews....

Staff and service were good. Locker rooms are clean. Location is at the riverfront with a decent amount of parking. The only issue about this place is that everything felt very cramped. The place was a little smaller that the other PFs I have been to, so there is really no place for you to lay a mat down or do some exercises because space is tight. The situation is worse during peak times.

I have belonged to this Planet Fitness ever since it's opened. The staff always does a great job keep the facility clean. The equipment is in good working order. If something is out of place and needs to be addressed for repairs whether it be a piece of equipment or something in the locker rooms, Planet Fitness tries their best to get it resolved. It'd be nice to see some different pieces of equipment, but for $10.00 a month it's hard to complain to much. Aces to the staff and management for continually putting in the work. Thank you.

This is my favorite gym! I'm Saturdays it isn't that busy but throughout the week from daytime until 10pm it's pretty full, after 10 it gets a little empty but it is definitely a no judgement zone! Come as you are and have fun exercising. They have tanning beds as well as a room that rejuvenates your skin.

They are really, super kind here. I hadn't been to a gym in a while when I first came here and I was nervous. However, I asked a staff member what I should do to tone up the different parts of my body and he was willing to show me multiple ways to do it. Also, it really is a no-judgement zone. No one looks at you weird if you pick up weight and let out a really loud squeak because it was heavier than you thought (guilty! And it was more of a scream😂). This gym is definetly worth the investment.

Wow what an excellent experience i have had joining planet fitness. They have put my covid 19 concerns to rest. Ample space and social distancing are installed, wearing a facemask mandated unless exercising. Very clean facility!!! Wow i am totally pleased witm my experience at planet fitness 5 star operation!!!!! Thank you

Staff and service was okay. I was here for a couple days for work and needed a place to exercise. Other than the service from staff, its a regualr gym with all the equipment you need to get a good workout in.

This branch of Planet Fitness is a prime example of what the chain should be. As my "home gym" that I try to visit daily, it has everything you should need in a gym. The machines (ellipticals, bikes, etc.) are cleaned regularly, sometimes during normal hours. Which, you would think would be a hassle, but they have plenty of other machines to cover and demonstrates they care about cleanliness. The weight racks and benches are wiped down after each use, which shows a conscientious client-base and they genuinely care about their customers' experiences. I've yet to have a bad experience here and would recommend anyone to join thia gym if you're looking for a cost-friendly environment to better yourself physically.

The staff are friendly and engaging. I read the prior reviews. I think they're referring to a specific time of the day. When at 9 am during the week or 4pm on the weekend i get motivated by staff and people working out. I charge my workout and im out! Love it. Yes they are under construction, but i can live with it until they get it together.

I love this gym. It’s true, no meatheads apply. It’s a judgment free place and there are all types of body shapes there. It’s not like most gyms where all the girls look like models and all the guys are meatheads. I don’t feel intimidated there, like I ALREADY have to have a perfect body to enter - not like that at all.

The gym is clean, as is the locker room. There is typically no wait for the machines. My only complaint is that when it's busy it send to take the staff some time to scan everyone in, which is a bit annoying. Obviously it's a good price.

Been going off and on. (Not often enough) The expansions and renovations are pretty nice. My only problem is that have abs station, yet it's one of the most used of the weights there. Instead they put in 4 horizontal sit-up machine that look more like massage chairs than an station. Which can easily replaced by doing sit ups by your couch. Overall, the membership is cheaper over some of the others. Can't beat 10 a month.

Cool gym and conveniently located in the city but both the staff and gym patrons can be pretty rude. Their patrons’ attitudes aren’t the gym’s fault necessarily but the people there are really not too friendly. Late at night (10 PM and beyond), the gym is a mess and people rarely respect the equipment enough to rerack things or put things where they should go instead of the floor. I was personally heckled by one staff member in particular for months before I finally had to have words and come to a resolution. He would call me a name each time I walked passed him and made dumb comments. All fun and games maybe to him but he doesn’t know me well enough to assume that is OK as I am a customer, not a friend...So it sort of makes Planet Fitness’ judgement free slogan a joke when their own staff members are perpetuating arrogant judgements of people based on their looks. Anyway, I still go and attempt to go when it’s least crowded but it’s hard to really gauge the perfect time to go unless you wait until midnght.The place isn’t perfect, but if you can get passed the occasional rudeness, the crowds, and the messes people leave, it’s worth it.

Planet Fitness is always the best gym going. Best prices, most locations, excellent equipment. Unless you're a professional body builder, going anywhere is almost insane. Addition bonus: when you finish your workout you can take a cool down walk on the beautiful Wilmington Riverwalk. Absolutely love this place.

It's a good gym with plenty of equipment and relatively clean. The reason I have it only three stars is because in the 30-minute exercise area, there are always people there that are just too lazy to go use the correct equipment when they aren't partaking in a 30-minute workout. Constantly I'll find the trainers even doing one-on-one with others in this area. It lost another star because when I brought it up once to the front desk that I couldn't complete the correct workout that they themselves describe because it's overrun by people not doing a correct 30-minute workout, I was told, "Dude, there are plenty of other equipment, I'm sure you can find the same one that's free in the general area." I later found out he too was a trainer. I've been here a year as a black card member, but I'm pretty sure I'm done after that. Follow the rules! I can't do the one thing Planet Fitness is providing.

I stopped in this PF after doing a walk for cancer. Man. I was blown away. I go to a PF in Philly and this one made it look like a joke. Huge area for free weights. Huge area of cardio. Huge 30m area. Everything clean as a whistle. The space is insanely big but everything is strategically placed so it’s easy to get around. This place is so awesome I’ve started thinking about moving to the area.

I like going here. People mind their own business and I can have a peaceful workout. There is plenty of parking and in the summer at this particular location you can take a stroll by the riverfront to get some fresh air when your done.

Go all the time the only thing is when they see u with the party or person u with they asking if you are a guest now for the guest that comes to the gym should have a guest pass with the guest name and the membership person as well so when people come in they can swipe the card as well. Laberdad loves eljignasio and I went to Delaware for the first time because in NJ the jignasios are estranged and I like it a lot and because of the measures that are being taken I highly recommend them and doing exercise is good for health without fear of success I give it a 10 🙌👏👍👍 💪
