I don’t normally post a review, but I just can’t help it. I don’t normally go the gym as I am comfortable doing my exercises at home. Unfortunately, getting into a regular schedule at your own time and trying to have the type of exercise that is best for you can be very challenging. I tried several group fitness exercises with other gyms but nothing beats Get Fit Studio. I am so glad that my daughter who is my #1 supporter and cheerleader found them. The aura, camaraderie, the different type of exercises and above all the people that manages the gym is like no other. The equipments, restroom, etc are spotless clean. Good job Get Fit!!! Keep it up 😊

This review is way long over due. I've been training with Carlo for over a year now (this is my second time training with him - first was at LA boxing from 7 years ago). If you want to lose weight, Carlo is your go-to. He delivers results and is there constantly to guide you. Here's a few reasons why I love this studio: 1. They moved to a new location which is bigger and better and the way the new gym looks just makes you want to work out. (and the amenities in the bathroom are amazing!) 2. Carlo does a free health assessment before you sign up for personal training. 3. He trains one on one and guides you through the work outs. 4. Every work out is different. I don't think I've repeated the same sets since a year ago. 5. His wife is very hands on the studio and very supportive as well. 6. He creates a diet plan design specifically for you. 7. He makes you log on your calorie intake and is constantly checking it to make sure you're on track. 8. He has group sessions at the studio which are fun! 9. It's never boring and going to the gym didn't feel like a thing you dread to do! I've lost 15+ pounds since I started with him and trust me, it just works!

I found Carlo through yelp in May, and I'm so glad I did! He's fantastic!!! After suffering through a long term injury, I was out of shape. I had been working with a different personal trainer for three months, and had made little progress. I had a military fitness test coming up, and I needed to find someone who could help me pass it. After reviewing his website, I knew I had found the right trainer. Fitness is truly Carlo's passion. He creates personalized workouts and nutrition plans for you. He monitors your caloric intake, and will help you make adjustments so you can attain your goals. He makes short videos of you doing your workout (so you know how to properly do your exercises), and will email you a copy of it with the name of the exercise, and your reps included. He also holds two amazing group fitness classes on Sundays for clients. One is iron abs/cardio, and the other is iron strength. He's always encouraging, and will get the most out of you (even when you feel you don't have it to give). Carlo is committed to helping you get the results you want, and invests himself fully in every client that he has. As my test was getting closer, Carlo would have me take it with him every Friday so we could measure my progress. We would go to a track to do the push-ups and sit-ups, and then he would pace me for my run. Not only did Carlo run with me while we were training, but he also came with me the day of my test to pace me!! Without Carlo's training and support, I know there's no way I would have passed it on my own! I'm amazed by how much stronger I am, and I look forward to my training sessions. No matter what your fitness goals are, Carlo will get you there!

I found Carlo on Yelp about 6 months ago and I am SOOOO glad I did. Of all of the trainers I have worked with over the years (about five trainers in total), Carlo is far and away the best. When I contacted Carlo, he offered the first training for free. At the end of the session, he came up with the nutrition and workout plan. The experience with Carlo has been on a different level entirely. I work out with Carlo 3 times a week. The workouts are different each times and focus on different parts of the body. Every week you see the progress you made since last week which something really motivated me. I enjoy running so much more. Most importantly, Carlo works with you to manage your diet, so that you eventually develop really good eating habits. In 5 months, we reached my goal weight. I have lost 13lbs. I dropped a lot of fat. My clothes fit me better. I have seen results much faster than I ever would have expected. My friends and family loved my shape. I look and feel great. Carlo is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. If you want to train with an awesome person who is invested in reaching your personal goals, train with Carlo. You WILL get results and you will NOT regret it.

If you are looking for a body transformation, look no further!! CARLO IS THE TRUTH!!! I work out some before coming to Carlo but my fitness program wasn't cutting it. I finally realized I needed help and after reading all the rave reviews I decided to give Carlo a try. I emailed him one day and he immediately contacted me the following day. I came to Carlo overweight and out of shape. In just in two months, Carlo helped me build up my endurance and get stronger while helping me to LOSE 25 POUNDS!! The workouts Carlo created were personally designed to meet my personal fitness goals, which he emailed me after each workout. Carlo also truly cares about getting you healthy and has knowledge about diet and overall health that is valuable pairing with the physical workout he provides. Carlo is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional and funny. Carlo has a way of making your workouts fun while you are building up a sweat. It never ceases to amaze me how dedicated he is to his business. Can't wait til he opens his new location!! He is the total package and your personal cheerleader. Love him!

Get Fit Studio hands down the best strength training/weight loss gym I have been to! Carlo, Jack and Boris are amazing, I love how they support your fitness goals but most importantly they provide a family oriented atmosphere. I always look forward to going to the gym! I appreciate how clean the gym is and the amazing accommodations (showers!!) If you want to achieve amazing body goals, Get Fit Studio is where you need to be. You will be surrounded around amazing people, lead by one of the top trainers in VA and look and feel sexy!

Carlo is the best trainer. He is a great human being as well who don't take personal training just as a business but sincerely wants to help his customers. He is perfect in what he do. He understands different body types, strength, power, endurance, flexibility and tailors workouts for you which you can do yet be challenged by them. You finish your time with sweating and feeling awesome. My goal before joining Carlo was to lose weight gain some strength and be able to workout on my own with correct posture since I've injured my self couple of times before in the gym. When I first started the weight loss program with him, I wanted to lose 30 lbs to reach my healthy weight. I have so far lost 35 lbs with him, I'm able to run more then a mile and can do all sort of exercises. I've a very busy schedule and there are days when I have to cancel the session with him like last minute and not even one time Carlo complained about but right away scheduled me for the day I can make it. He got excellent customer service skills and a very fun and positive attitude. He is a great motivator and would always let you you know that you can do it and he is there to help. Working out with him is fun as well, you don't feel like you are working with a dry trainer who just tells you the exercise and let you be on your own. His motivation comes in a way that you'll enjoy working hard with him. I'm still working out with him and even my wife have signed up with his awesome weight loss program. He is in a very convenient location in Alexandria, where you can easily find parking right in front of the gym. He trains at a private studio where you can find decent enough equipment and never runs out of what you need to do a proper workout while having fun. He will advice you on nutrition and will always answer questions if you're having issues with the certain food that you're eating. When I first signed up with him, I had a back injury and ankle arthritis but thanks to him that today I can do dead lifts, run more then a mile (something I didn't try for 7 years after my foot injury) and feel wonderful all over. I would totally recommend him if you're looking for a trainer who is willing to help, experience in both nutrition and training - Carlo is the guy to call. Just let him what your goals are and if you've any prior injury and he will work you to help you out as much as he can. He is a very honest person and would go above and beyond to help you in your journey.

Carlo is the consummate fitness guru. He lives what he preaches, and his raw charisma is enough to light a fire that can only be quenched by working hard and disciplining the self. I've been training with Carlo once per week for three months, and already my metamorphosis has been unreal. The sessions are demanding, but within weeks I was running through workouts that would've put me on the floor during my first (free!) session. Carlo also designs a custom nutrition program catered to each client, and hosts free group classes on Sundays. No one is just another face: Carlo cares about your results and is an active participant in your fitness outside of the studio, texting encouragement and counseling on diet as well as solo workouts. This is the whole package. If you're looking to lose weight; tone your muscles; get ripped, whatever -- Carlo will get you where you need to be.

I trained with Carlo initially in 2013, then moved away. I started with him again three months ago and I'm so happy to be back! I can't say enough good things about Carlo and his training, but here is my Top Ten List: 10. Every workout is different. I never know what we're going to do, but I know it's going to be challenging and I'll feel proud to have completed the workout. 9. Carlo possesses a deep knowledge of physiology and body movement. He can explain not only how to do exercises, but *why* you're doing them. He puts a great deal of thought into creating each workout. 8. The studio is clean and private, and Carlo gives you his undivided attention for the entire workout. (I've had trainers who were constantly on their phone or blatantly checking out the hot chicks instead of helping me, argh) 7. It doesn't take long to notice changes in both appearance and strength. Although I am still early in my weight loss journey, I feel noticeably stronger and more physically fit. 6. Carlo can adapt any workout. When I started with Carlo, I was experiencing pain in my heel when I ran or jumped, so he adapted the movements so I would get the benefit without pain. 5. Carlo takes short video snippets of the workouts and sends an email summary of exactly what we did (exercise name, weight, reps). I love being able to reference these on my "off" days or when I'm out of town. 4. The Iron Cardio class rocks. It's high intensity, but fun and "doable" no matter your fitness level. 3. Carlo is responsive to emails and texts. If I have a question or need to schedule a workout, he replies right away. 2. He knows how much I am *actually* capable of doing, and it's always more than I think. I don't know what magical formula he uses to determine what I can do, but he's always right and I'm always glad to have been pushed to the next level. 1. Carlo is simply a wonderful human being with a passion for helping others improve their fitness. His positivity is infectious and his energy is boundless. I usually don't write reviews but this experience is definitely worth sharing. So I wanted specific results that I hadn't been able to achieve with a previous trainer; 5 weeks in and I've lost close to 10lbs, feeling stronger with increased endurance. He takes time to customize your workouts and closely monitors your nutrition plan. He's definitely invested in your success. I'm not at my goal yet, but I'm closer now than ever before....I'll keep you posted ;) **UPDATE** I'm at my goal weight! I'm down 16 pounds and 4 dress sizes. I get compliments every single day but I let them know that there is no magic pill, just lots of hard work. The key is the specialized training program for my body and the consistent encouragement even when I'm not working out him. I couldn't be happier, thanks Carlo! I'll keep you posted as I head into the maintenance phase ;) Good luck with your goals because I'm crushing mine!

My Stats Age: 36 Gender: Female Height: 5’3 Start Weight: 179 Current Weight: 158.4 Goal: 135-140 First Session with Carlo: 1/2/18 Carlo has been my trainer for the last two and a half months, and he is truly AWESOME! Prior to meeting Carlo, I was badly out of shape. After several years of not exercising and having 2 kids, I had zero muscle strength and as a result I could barely do a squat or a sit-up .I had no endurance and got exhausted during any type of cardio. My clothes were starting to fit tighter, I hated taking pictures of myself and my eating habits were out of control. One day I decided to weigh myself and wow, I was so disappointed with the number on the scale. I was at my heaviest weight. In the past I have tried every diet and workout regimen-you name it, I did it. From no carb diets to at home workouts. As everyone can relate, you start so good the first few weeks and then you go back to your bad habits again. This time I needed an actual person that would listen to my goals, push me beyond my limits, educate me on nutrition and to track my weight by weighing me consistently. That is when I decided to get a trainer. And it has been one of the BEST. DECISIONS. OF. MY. LIFE. Two and a half months later, the results speak for themselves. I'm 20lbs lighter. My body has started “shaping". I can do squats, sit ups (without any assistance) now a multitude of new and challenging exercises. Best of all, my attitude towards fitness and food has changed. It no longer feels like a hassle to exercise and fast food chains are out of my radar- the level of self-confidence and energy I have is worth working hard for now! What made me choose Carlo? Have you seen his before and after videos? This is the main element that attracted me to his program. These are REAL people with REAL results and not some random people you see on those infomercials where the pictures are digitally retouched. In the “before” videos he asks each client what their fitness goals are and how you think he can help you achieve them. Fast forward to 3 months later, he will post an “after” video and man, the results are amaaaaaaziiiiiing. This is the exact motivation I was looking for in a personal trainer- someone who is so confident, determined and passionate about helping their client meet their fitness goals. I’m super excited to report that I will be filming my “after” video in a few weeks! How did Carlo help me with my weight loss? 1) Workouts and Nutrition: His workouts are always so much fun and challenging. Each week the workout is always new and it's catered to your weight loss goal. By the end of the hour you are sweating and feeling great. There have been days where I thought I couldn’t do a certain move or wanted to give up on the second set, but his words of encouragement and positive attitude made me get through it. Carlo also outlines a detailed nutrition chart for your weight loss/fitness goals which is super helpful! 2) His motivation and optimistic attitude- his entire aura is positive. From the minute you step into his studio to all of his clientele, everyone around him is so welcoming and encouraging. In my eyes, he’s not only a personal trainer but also a lifestyle coach. He empathizes with your struggles and always finds a way to make you smile. He truly is a genuine person and will be your biggest supporter! I still have a few months to go, but so far this has been an incredible journey of empowerment and major confidence boost. I'm so appreciative for what Carlo has done for my self-esteem! He has been a blessing in my life! :)

80bs down with Carlo!!! When I started this journey, I was frustrated with my weight loss progress. It seemed that I had hit a plateau and it didn’t seem to matter what I did, I couldn’t break it. That's when I found out about Carlo. Specifically, his group Iron Cardio class and decided to give it a try. LOVED IT! It's challenging, upbeat, and a whole lot of fun! I knew that Carlo was the trainer for me. He not only is a personal trainer, he assists and monitors your nutrition! Bonus! Whether it's for weight loss, to tone up, or to stay healthy you gotta give Carlo a shot! I unfortunately am moving out of the area but since carlo emails me every workout, I am able to continue my training on my own. He has even offered to help me find a new trainer/program in the area I’m moving too. He truly cares about his clients and has become a good friend!

Wow! Only words that can describe the studio. I have been working out at the studio since April 2019 and I am 43 years old and in better shape that an I was in my early 20s. The classes and personal training are right on point, Carlo, Boris and Jack are masters of their trade. These guys keep you accountable and motivated. Before I even think about eating something bad, I am reminded I do not want to disappoint, sometimes I do (sorry Carlo), but more times I do not.
