I love this workout! I'm definitely not an athletic person, but I was really able to get into shape thanks to a few weeks of Barre3. The instructors are very accommodating and kind, and the classes are very dynamic. You get a full body workout in a welcoming environment.

I love going to Barre 3. I really feel the change in my body since I've been going to these classes. All the instructors are extremely nice and knowledgeable. Some instructors are harder than others, but I would say none of them are extremely difficult -- which is something I like. Very recommended!

It’s been a while since I’ve been in shape, Covid was tough on working out. This barre 3 studio has made me feel so welcome. It really is a pleasure to show up there for a class. I’m working my way back and the instructors are really great about helping me with modifications to exercises where I can’t quite get to where I will be in a few months. I just love the positive energy they put out there.

I absolutely love taking classes here. The instructors are very encouraging & kind and the studio is always clean. I love how there are lockers with a lock so I feel safe leaving my stuff in the lobby during the class. Great location too!

I love this studio! It's around the corner from my apt so I originally chose it for convenience but now I come for the experience/classes. The spaces are so nice and clean, the instructors are fun/dynamic and the classes are the right combo of tough and not excruciating. Also more affordable than lots of competing super $$ studios. Highly recommend!

Barre3 is a wonderful way to get stronger and more toned! The classes are difficult, but very doable for people of all fitness levels. The instructors are super friendly and I like that they ensure that everyone in the class is using proper form. Also, I love the playlists we workout to.

I've been loving barre3 classes at the Union Station studio. I've done online classes for years now and find barre3 to be wonderful exercise however you do it, but there's something special about the energy in the studio. Hourlong classes feel go by in a snap, like they're only 30 minutes long. I also love that I can see and feel real results in my strength and conditioning after only a couple weeks of regular classes.

Finally found an exercise class and studio I want to keep going back to again and again! I enjoy barre for its combination of moves influenced by yoga, pilates, and strength training, and how, unlike some other barre studios I tried, incorporates real cardio time as well. The music is always fun, and the teachers enthusiastic. But my favorite thing about the studio is how accessible the community feels. All bodies and ability levels are welcomed and supported.

I just finished my 6th class at barre3 at Union Market. I’ve gone to 3 different instructors; all have been knowledgeable, welcoming, motivating, and played great music. The studio is also charming and clean, and pleasant to be in. I fully recommend it.

I have found barre3 to be the perfect workout. Tones small muscles while also getting your heart rate up and making you sweat. Staff is very attentive and provides alternative movements if something doesn’t feel good.

I freakin' LOVE barre3. I have ClassPass so I have tried out a lot of different studios in DC and by far, barre3 is my favorite. Their workouts are great, but it is the environment that brings me back. They are welcoming, nonjudgement and so kind. I love that they offer adaptations and encourage people to listen to their own bodies. Big fan!

I've taken several classes with different instructors, in-person and via zoom with Barre3 DC and each one has been great! The instructors give modifications for every fitness level and the workouts are full-body without being hard on your joints. Trust me, muscles you didn't even know you had will be sore!

The class instructors keep you moving and the music pumps you up as well. If you're looking for a workout that puts your body to work and is still fun, I highly recommend Barre3!

After having my first child, I had a hard time finding an exercise class that allowed me to reconnect to my core muscles, adapt moves for my current abilities and range of motion, not strain a recovering pelvic floor, and still be challenging. The classes at barre3 have checked all these boxes! I’m already noticing much more stability in my core and the glute strength I’ve been missing after only one week of attending. I’d definitely recommend this for someone returning to exercise postpartum!

Barre3 is by far the best barre studio in the DMV area - much better than PureBarre or BarreMethod. I love the instructors' energy and the combination of cardio, yoga, and classic barre moves. The ball, sliders, bands and weights make for great props and an intense workout. I always work up a great sweat - and shake - while I'm here!

If you’re new, I like to say Barre3 is a mixture of Zumba, Yoga, and Ballet techniques combined. It’s fun, upbeat and challenging. They offer a lot of time slots so it’s easy to schedule a class into your day. Parking is easy to find and love their location.

I love Barre3! I've done a few different styles of barre and Barre3 is the one that I enjoy most. I use it as cross training, for running. They mix cardio, strength and mindfulness. I've been going to this location for about 2 years. The team are very friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. I feel like I'm part of a community when I'm there and that's why I keep going back.

Had my very first Barre class here and it kicked my butt! I'm very active, I work out & lift heavy weights 3-5 times a week, so when i was told to grab a set of light dumbbells (3 or 5 lbs) I was thinking, "hmmm...this is going to be easy." Boy was I wrong! 100 reps later, my body was on fire and I knew I was getting a fantastic workout. I was so sore the next day, despite all the activities I typically do, so I know I was hitting muscles I rarely use. I've always heard that Barre focuses on lower body but this was definitely a full-body workout. The class starts with a yoga-like series of dynamic stretching to warm your body up then moves on to focus on upper body, lower body, then abs. Don't let this discourage you if you're not very active! The instructors are really great about pointing out modifications to exercises and breaks are totally ok if you get too tired! Kathryn Quijano has been my favorite instructor so far...huge smile on her face the entire time and I burned more calories in her class than the others (shout out to Honey as well, she plays the best music!). The studio is nice & clean and provides a locked space to keep your personal items while you workout. I also love being able to watch people walk by in the big windows in the front :) Great place to clear your mind and get a sense of accomplishment when you walk out the door. Can't wait to go back!

I was in DC for work and decided to check out Barre3 as it was half a mile from my hotel. I do Pure Barre back home and have to say this workout was a piece of cake comparatively. It was more yoga and jazzercise moves than isometric holds and embracing the shake. Barre3 costs the same as Pure Barre and I don't feel I got my money worth. The studio does not live up to a $29 a pop class either. There was no wipes for the mat, a large water stain on the ceiling, and my feet were black from the "cork" flooring afterwards. I bought a 3 pack class and feel like I am going to have to force myself to not waste the other 2 classes.

Outstanding experience for a first-timer. Found a close parking space, got quickly acquainted with the studio facilities and met the instructor, Jessica. The course was a push for me but so worth it. Loved the mix of slider, weights, mat and ball work. The cool down was a breath work series that I NEEDED. Will return!
