Spent the weekend at Sioux Falls and visited here a few times. Highly recommend the Black Card so you can use the hydro massage beds. Location was busy but not overwhelming. PF has been a major tool used in my recovery and fitness while on tour.

My only gripe would be. Seems like a lot of Staff seem sad. I'm not from here I'm from Texas where everybody's more cordial more polite a little more upbeat. I'm not sure why everybody seems a little down on the dumps. However the club itself is lovely very clean good locker rooms great machines nice and sorted of things. Just noticed the five was a little bit odd. I guess that's just me I'm a happy go lucky guy. So keep that for what it's worth. This is my third time being there.

Been coming to this location for about 9 months now, very surprised to see so many reviews complaining about the employees as they've been nothing but friendly to me. Solid variety of equipment to fit your needs. Staff seems to always be cleaning equipment off and doing their best to keep the entrances dry so you don't slip when coming in and out. I go pretty early in the morning so the crowd is pretty tame, came in a little later this morning and the folks using the facility weren't my cup of tea but lesson learned to keep my normal routine.

Gym is clean and well maintained, the people here don’t bother you and they have enough machines but the free weights area is kind of small, but if you’re looking for a cheap and nice gym then this isn’t too bad.

It's a great gym, I use it often but I just watched an employee put Windex in the disinfectant bottles that you spray the machine with between gymgoers. I'm not okay with that, please improve your cleaning solution to an actual disinfectant.

Very friendly front desk staff. Clean club and locker room. Cleaning wipes and spray bottle stations throughout the exercise floor. Plenty of Life Fitness weight stack machines in the company colorful purple. Abundant treadmills, bikes and cardio machines. Some free weights. Three negatives. First, top weight on the leg press machine was only 335 pounds which is low for an experienced exerciser. Plumber had just been there that day but it still took 5 minutes for the shower water to heat up. No child care which was not a problem for me. Great club for a beginner with no young children.

So far I'm loving it! The only complaint that I have is from my first visit. I checked in and had told the staff worker that I had signed up online and that this was my first time ever being at a planet fitness. All he did was say, "the locker rooms are back there" and pointed. He didn't offer to show me around or even say welcome. I've never been much of a gym goer so I felt completely out of my element and kind of lost. Not everyone is at the same level of confidence when they walk in those doors and a little bit more friendliness would have gone a long way. I didn't let that detour me from my focus tho. I've now been there a handful of times and I can say my confidence and comfort is growing a little more every time.

I have had my membership for three years now and i still love the gym!!! Im super sad that im going to have to cancel:( I work two jobs and I am a mom and on weekends I can only work out at 4 am, before work. I need somewhere I can work out even early in the morning on weekends. I also wish they had a rowing machine. But staff Veronica and Nancy are wonderful!!!!

A lot of people just sit on machines with their phones or use two machines at once. No gym common sense.

This location was clean and the counter staff seemed friendly. As someone who travels, showers are important to me. All of the women's shower heads need to be replaced ASAP except for the handicap shower. That is the only shower that gave out a consistent stream of well-pressurized water. The other shower heads were all dabbling water. It was really odd! I was very happy with the water temps. Some Planet Fitness locations have their shower handles set so that only luke-warm water is available which leaves me shivering and doesn't help alleviate sore muscles. The women's shower room was pretty clean with a couple things left here and there. The lockers have holes throughout the front so you can see inside them which is probably helpful for staff, but makes it all the more important not to leave expensive items in them and to always use a lock.

It’s your old-time Planet Fitness that is way too busy at all times. It’s too small for Sioux Falls. Every bench or weight lifting piece of equipment is always taken. I cannot believe I’m about to say this but the TWO Planet Fitnesses in Sioux City blow this one out of the water. If I am lucky enough to stay longer in Sioux Falls, I’ll be changing gyms 😐

When I wanted to start working out I checked out almost every gym in town. And honestly just felt most comfortable here. Make you feel welcome and the hours just worked for me. Plus I can bring a guest everytime. And the amenities alone with the black card membership pay for themselves.

Nice cardio work out equipment! I love everything about this place! Get the black card membership and you won't have to have a contract. With my black card I get access to massage chairs, red light therapy, and the hydro massage bed any time I choose. You can't go wrong with Planet Fitness!

I've been a PF member for about 2 years, and have probably used 30 locations nationwide. So, I've noticed some things about each location which make them unique. As for Sioux Falls, here are some highlights: 1) The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the workout floor. As some of you know, this isn't always the case at other gyms. 2) Well-kept. Staff goes on regular rounds to ensure weights are where they should be, equipment is clean, sprays/towels are stocked, etc. 3) The staff is great. I've interacted with most of them and am impressed with the team as a whole. Josh (Manager) is an exceptional young professional, and has a bright future ahead. Always friendly and helpful. He greeted me by name on my 2nd visit, which is remarkable unto itself. Kudos to whomever hired him. As a 20-year Recruiter, I know what talent looks/sounds like. 4) The clientele at this location are good about wipe-downs, and are courteous gym members. I've yet to observe any mirror-flexing weight-droppers intent on showing their fellow gym-goers who's boss. Even at "busy times," I've never had to wait for equipment. There is plenty to go around. 5) Large parking lot with plenty of space, and a great location off a main drag. And there are plenty of nearby post-workout refueling spots nearby for a post-workout snack. 6) The Black Card upgrade is worth every penny. As someone with chronic back problems, I almost always end my workout on the hydro massage tables. And I'm sure I'll probably use the tanning equipment come February, when my body is crying out for Vitamin D. Overall, I give them an A. Otherwise, I'd sweat somewhere else.

So there was only one water fountain area and they do not want you drinking out of it. Respectability, I declined their request and drank out of it. They want you to use a water bottle. I did not have one. Next, I was looking for a curl bench. They did not have one. Curl machine, yes. Free weight seated curling bench, no. And there was literally one moveable decline bench FOR THE WHOLE GYM. Not convenient at all. If you like cardio equipment, sure. This is the place. Free weights, meh.

Terrific workout experience. Clean facilities, great machines, friendly, helpful, hard working staff. Careful and diligent sanitizing efforts. I can’t say they’re the best because I’ve only visited a couple other gyms in Sioux Falls - but there’s none better for sure!

At first I though “yeah cool, a cheaper gym.” Then I came to realize when I signed up the cardio to weight equipment was mind boggling. So much unnecessary treadmills and not enough actual weights or weight lifting equipment. The showers are also freezing.

Really nice gym with all the amenities. I have been to planet fitness gyms across the country and this one is definitely in the top in terms of cleanliness staff friendliness and equipment selection. The Rowing machines are a big plus for me as a majority don't seem to have these. Also several of each machine so you're rarely waiting for a machine.

I joined this gym about 2 years ago and found it to be a pleasant place to work out, even if you're not a fanatic about it. This gym is a well kept up place as far as cleanliness and the machines go. There are many types of machines, some I have no idea how they work, but, if I wanted to know how to use them, there are friendly employees I could ask. There is also massage tables and chairs, tanning beds, lockers, and showers. Once a month they offer free bagels and cream cheese to their guests. The price per month is either $10 or $20. The $20 price you get free use of the tanning beds and massage chairs and beds.

Joined planet fitness last year. It's a great place to workout. The gym equipment is well arranged and the atmosphere is really good. The cost is much less when compared to other places. The staff is friendly and ready to help when needed. They provide one to one guidance as well. The place is top class and would be recommended for anyone who wants to be part of a great gym.

Clean, never too busy or over crowded. Clean showers and locker room, the water in the showers are hot and stay hot which is very nice. Friendly front deskers and instructions at most machines so you're not guessing if you want to try something new. Personal note: I can be extremely shy and anxious in public situations alone. I have never felt threatened or bothered here, especially being a female that is a nice benefit. If I were bothered, I would feel comfortable enough to approach the front desk about it & feel confident they would escort me out or assist me however they can. Never needed to do so here. I enjoy going by myself here and not having that anxiety.

Well I have been there a few times now, and I love the staff Kylie I think her name is answered the phone when I first wanted to get more info and she was very kind, informative, and judge free. She explained in great detail and made me feel like I was welcome even over the phone. I went in three time this far, and each and every staff member that has been there was very kind and informative, I love this place I feel comfortable there and welcome, and that right there makes the whole motivation to keep going so possible.. the Tanning and massage beds are a plus too!

Great variety of machines. For black card members they offer massage chairs, hydro massage beds, and tanning beds. Staff is for the most part courteous. Sometimes it is hard to get a staff member up front and sometimes they don't answer their phones during business hours.

Totally happy with my experience at Planet fitness. A good place for the ordinary person that wants to stay in shape or get to that point. Has lockers (you provide your own lock) and showers. Really like the 30min workout area step up. Lot of tredmills. Very clean. The place does get a lot of use. Very affordable, with a $15 month to month option.

Excellent facility! The tanning beds are comparable, if not better (due to price), than a tanning salon. Massage table and chairs, and enough equipment for everyone! Clean and spacious locker rooms. Bring a friend free everytime! I'm not sure why I ever paid to go anywhere else!

They definitely need another location because the current location on 41st can be very busy during peak hours (after people get off work). Always a great experience when I go!

Moved from Sioux falls to rapid and forgot how small this one is compared to Sioux falls planet fitness and also others I been to but it's understandable because it's in the mall so they didn't have much space to begin with. I love their machines and their locker rooms look clean and new. I love their 30 min course and massage beds. Tanning is a plus as well.

My husband and I recently just signed up for the Black card membership. It just sounds awesome that with it you get access to everything in the gym. You also get a personal trainer. The staff was friendly and very helpful when we signed up. We have plans to work out starting Monday morning. We will continue to keep working out. During our vacation in August, we plan on going to the one in Virginia Beach. We both can't wait to start working out.

Planet Fitness cares about all its members. Planet Fitness greets us by name and cares about our efforts. During COVID, they have had to implement challenging restrictions, but have strived to keep our visits fun and functional. At other gyms in my community, there are big egos and machine domination and you just try to avoid these conflicts. At Planet Fitness, it is like family. And we all keep the machines very clean.

If you're looking for an affordable, low stress place to work out, Planet Fitness is a great option. Their status as a national chain make it easy for people who travel. This location has a large variety of machines, and doesn't often feel very busy. The only draw back is that the stretching area is much smaller than at some other locations, and gets crowded fast.

Madison is an amazing Trainer!! Best trainer I have ever dealt with! Very thoughtful of personal needs, very informative, not only is she a wealth of information regarding health and fitness but she walks what she talks! She is the real deal and worth the membership in Gold! As for the rest of the staff it is hit or miss! Front desk help can be shotty at best! Some of the men act bothered by inquiries(which is their job). Being a Blackcard member should be a hassle free experience, for the perks! But instead you have to take the tanning bed they choose, even though the one you want is open. Maybe they dont want to clean the bed? Makes you go hmmm! As for the other equipment, the staff does a good job of keeping it clean and in good working order. My only complaint is there are a few ab machines, they need to duplicate, so one isnt waiting to take turns. I would give this gym a 5 star rating if all the staff were as passionate about their job as Madison and willing to do their job without feeling put out. But until then, 4 stars will have to do!! Madison, being the brightest star for her ability to help inform and motivate interested clients.

I guess the only thing I don't understand about this gym is why they offer bagels and free pizza every other week or something along those lines. other than that... the staff were really friendly and very helpful it's the best place to go to for the value $10 a month you get a lot of bang for your buck.

When they say "no judgement zone" they mean exactly that. There are no stairs or snickers and I an just a wiggly gal trying to get in shape after 2 kids and along time house wife. But scene there is so paid back and they will help any way they can. With my membership I have unlimited tanning, water bed massages and shiautzu chair massages and its not that much more. It cost me 14.50 to start working out that day because they prorated the month since I used my card and it is automaticly deducted so I do not have to worry about embarrassment paying late fees. Great place for nice novice or expert alike.

I have been traveling the south over this winter and have gotten a Planet fitness memebership to stay healthy and have access to showers. It has been very convenient for me to go from town to town and use their facilities, some of these towns like Ocean Springs have populations of 17,000 people, and there is 3 PFs in the surrounding area. Which brings me to Sioux falls, why is there only one facility here? And better yet why is there only 3 in the entire state. Even Wyoming has more Planet fitnesses than South Dakota. I have been to towns the size of Sioux Falls (ex: Layfayette, Lake Charles, Shreveport) and they all have multiple PFs in the area. The planet fitness in Sioux Falls is always crowded and it isn't even open 24/7. Why can't we open another in Sioux Falls or maybe in Brandon? Or even start by having the Planet fitness we currently have open 24 hours? I'm sad to say that when I am done traveling and am back in Sioux Falls I will be canceling my membership for the reasons stated above.

There is a massage water bed, free tanning, no spray tan, massage chairs, a work out both thing that is neat and all the weights and work out equipment you could imagine. Open almost 24hrs a day except the weekends. There are locker rooms and showers.

Always a good place to come workout at, the crowd meter is so helpful to know what times are busy. The employees have always been helpful, respectful, and friendly. There’s a lot of different equipment so you’re not technically having to wait too long to hop on the machine you want. I even come to find the other gym members are awesome too. I’d definitely recommend this place. Cleanliness 10/10.

Good place to train, they have a lot of equipment and it's too hygienic, they constantly clean the building, spacious bathrooms with a big dressing room and many slots available to store your personal things, they have chairs and beds for massages, tanning beds and clean showers, you can pay with card and online.
