This place is awesome! I went for a weekend drop in while exploring SLC and I felt right at home. There are so many areas to do your own thing it’s like an adult wonderland. Strength, mobility, 20 new bikes, several ropes, and tons of rigs and weights. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and it is open 7 days a week which works really well for my sporadic schedule.
If you don’t want to or can’t do the programmed workout you’re allowed to do open gym and work on your own terms which I also really appreciate. Classes are huge but never too crowded because the space is like a gigantic (but rather cozy feeling) warehouse. I cannot wait to become a member. Thanks for having me

I’ve been a member at SLC CrossFit for 3 years. I love this gym. All of my friends have come from here. This gym brings the best people together. On top of that the programming and coaching is great. I had been inactive for over 3 years, I was 60 pounds overweight from and couldn’t climb a flight of stairs. I had tried many different diets. I signed up for the 12 week challenge and have been going for 6 weeks now. I’ve lost 10 pounds of fat and gained 6 pounds of muscle. The workouts are hard but but I’m finally in the swing of things and look forward to classes. The coaches are great and everyone is super helpful. I would recommend SLC CrossFit to anyone looking to make a change!

Over the past 2.5 months, my fiancé and I have been attending classes at the SLC gym and I could not have asked for a better experience. The space is nice and the community and coaches are fantastic! The people are welcoming and the coaches do a great job with movement enhancement and exercise modifications for all levels. Would highly recommend checking out this CrossFit space.

I have always been intimidated by crossfit. It never seemed like "my vibe". This was all until I went, and realized most everyone in the class looked like me. My favorite part are all the scaling options in class. I would see 10 pull up's on the board knowing I could not even do one. The coaches are very knowledgable and showed me ways a band could assist me. There are all sorts of scalable options to help you progress. I would highly recommend this gym.

I love this gym! The coaches are really knowledgeable and attentive. There is a strong focus on safety as well as pushing to get stronger. The community is welcoming and encouraging. The classes are always changing and they have additional programs you can purchase, such as a barbell class and personal coaching. I’ve gotten so much stronger and I’m really happy with how I look! I highly recommend.

The coaches have been wonderful, like Sydney, Brock, and Johnny. I’ve felt encouraged and not afraid to ask for help because they genuinely want you to reach your goals. The community of those who go for the same reasons are really nice people. I love coming here after work and really focus on loving myself and my body more ❤️
Unfortunately not all coaches are like this, and I really do have to say, at times some bring a certain negativity that makes you question their position to be a coach.
Yesterday when I attempted to do a certain move that I needed help with, I asked the coach for help and she was guiding me through it. And as I continued to do the move, I knew that I had to stop or else I could hurt myself.
So I listened to my body and told the coach I was going to stop right there because I know my own body, and I would only hurt it by continuing the move.
What surprised me was her response, “ So you’re giving up”?
When I tell you I was in shock and explained my reason for stopping, she only seemed annoyed by my response, I was frustrated.
I strongly recommend that the gym teaches their coaches to not pressure those of us who are new, if we say we’re not comfortable on a workout.
I left and it kept bothering me that this happened because it shouldn’t have happened. Rather than feeling support or encouragement (like I do with every other coach), I was left feeling like I failed to complete my workout for the day. And that really bothered me.
Other than this experience, I strongly recommend people to give it a try and really have patience on yourself on this journey of personal growth. This has done wonders to my physical and mental health and I find that this is an outlet for me to let out all of my stress for the day and get a step closer to what I want. I really do love this place!!

I was overweight and had a hard time getting motivated to workout. Normal gyms are very boring, same as running and riding a bicycle around the park. I signed up for the 12-week challenge, I’m still at the beginning but I am highly motivated, I have changed my eating habits thanks to their initial assessment of my plan and conditions and now I attend regularly to classes. The personal training was a great start, Taylor got me on track to understand the WOD without losing time. The instructors show great knowledge and make the classes fun and dynamic, they take their time to help when we need it.
I’m feeling great and look forward to the next class. Oh, yes, they have a lot of space so you can keep a good distance between people which is important nowadays.

For the past two years I have had a hard time with my mental health and I have tried so many different hobbies that I hoped would help bring a little joy into my life. It wasn't until I started working out at SLC CrossFit that I really started to feel like a whole new person. As dramatic and cheesy as that sounds, I have really found something that makes me feel great (mentally and physically). I signed up for the 12 week challenge at SLC CrossFit and although I am not all the way through yet, I know that I will continue to be a part of this gym because they are amazing! All of the coaches are great (working out with Eris in particular feels more like working out with a friend instead of a coach). The community is fantastic! 10/10 would recommend!

Started getting a little chubby last year, and when my wife said I had reached the optimal “cuddle body” I knew it was time to make a change. Started training with Coach Eris in December and graduated to group classes after that. Great decision! Feeling better than I have in a long time.
I have never worked out in a group setting before this, but I can honestly say it was the change I needed. Everyone is so friendly and supportive of one another. The coaching staff do a great job to warm you up for the workout of the day, and help you appropriately scale the workouts based on skill level.

SLC CrossFit is a phenomenal gym. Coach Sydney has been an amazing guide for helping to get me back into shape. She’s been instrumental in my return to fitness and has held me accountable to coming in on a regular schedule. If you’re looking for a coach that will simultaneously push you to new heights while also making working out fun again, look no further. Can’t recommend Coach Sydney or SLC CrossFit enough. Best bang for your buck in all of UT!

I was in town for Masters Weightlifting National Championships. After the event, and after several days of hiking, I dropped in to SLC Crossfit for a training session. I was very happy with their lifting platforms, equuipment, friendly staff. The music was a bit loud for my old-man preferences, but I suppose it suited most of the athletes. I would happily go back if I find myself in town again.

Best gym I’ve ever been to! Coaches are so knowledgeable, owners are amazing people, and the community is so welcoming. I love seeing gyms that are so inclusive with such diverse members. This gym steps up to make sure all are welcome- love the way they celebrate Pride week, encourage diversity and support their community.
On top of that their training is exceptional. I grew more as an athlete under their direction then anywhere else, and fell in love with functional fitness thanks to their great coaches.
For anyone looking for a new gym or to drop in, I highly recommend!

Dropped in for a workout while visiting the city and enjoyed the entire experience at Salt Lake City CrossFit. The coaches were friendly, kind, and professional. They went out of their way to give us a few extra tips on our back squat in a very helpful and sincere manner. The space was great; plenty of room and equipment. I'm not one to usually leave reviews but I'm really truly happy with how SLC Crossfit has impacted my health in the short 5 months that I've been there. I'm a busy mom of two very energetic boys and I'd be lying if I said that they weren't the main reason for me to join. After hearing from my neighbors for years about how great SLCC was I finally decided to ignore how intimidated I felt and just show up, and now 5 months later I'm so glad I did! Amazing coaches, fun and welcoming community and workouts for all fitness level are just some of the things that kept me showing up day after day. I was boarder line pre diabetic, overweight and low energy when I started. Fast forward 5 short months I have the energy to chase my boys all day long, blood sugar levels normalized and shedded nearly 15lbs. SLC Crossfit has helped me show up for my health and I'm loving it! I'm proud to be a part of their great community. You guys rock!

I was slightly apprehensive (but simultaneously excited for a new opportunity) to join SLC CrossFit just because of the stigma of "CrossFit". Would I feel comfortable here? Would I even be able to do any of the workouts? All of my insecurities disappeared in the first class. I immediately felt welcomed. My 6 AM attendees are all so very supportive, kind, and strong. The natural tendency to compare just doesn't exist anymore, instead I'm focused on my own journey of strength and growth. I truly feel stronger and more healthy.
I value SLC CrossFit's coaches in their positivity, implementation of mindfulness, and immense knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy. The coaches ensure I use proper form and the correct weight, while I establish the muscle memory for the different exercises. I have never had that kind of attention and coaching in any of the workout classes I have attended. I finally feel like I've found a space with a philosophy that aligns with my health goals while also providing that "just right" challenge.
I would highly recommend SLC CrossFit, because it truly is a space for EVERYONE.

I’ve been to a few boxes in the salt lake county area, and SLC Crossfit is by far the best box I’ve been to. They’re coaching staff is incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful in proper technique. The atmosphere is also very welcoming. They are people that come here with all types of experience from beginner to competitors. I find it very inviting and I get pumped for every session I attend. They’re programming is also on point. If you’re dropping in definitely the best box to attend. If you’re interested in becoming a member also the best box to attend. There is a reason why It has won best gym in Salt Lake City over and over again.

Brock was am excellent trainer and have me some awesome tips even though I have almost a decade's experience in crossfit. The facility is a crossfit box, a little hard to find but once there, we were welcomed and had a great time. The community was very nice too.

SLC CrossFit is my favorite place to work out when I am in Salt Lake! They have a great, large space with any and all equipment you could want. They offer plenty of class times in addition to open gym hours. The class programming is well thought out and effective for not only getting in a good workout but also working on strength, skills, etc.
The coaches and owners are great and willing to work with you to get you the type of membership you need - definitely recommend reaching out even if you are only in SLC for a short period of time and looking for a gym to drop in or to call home for a few weeks/months.

Its alarming after a year of seclusion and quarantining how fast your hard fought gains and good habits turn into good intentions and procrastination. Even with a full equipped home gym and a more than adequate training knowledge, the drive and accountability to workout was gone. Stumbling out to the gym to get a half hearted workout in or using any interruption as a reason to put it off until tomorrow ate through my fitness and strength like an unsupervised 8 year old eats through candy on Halloween night. Coming back to an atmosphere of structured training, thoughtful programming and energetic atmosphere helped flip the script. Now things are trending in the right direction again. Its nice to just show up, push myself and get on with my day. It really took the stress and anxiety about working out and made training fun again.

Good gym. The box has a really good setup and all of the best equipment. It’s got a great location just off the 215 freeway. Its supper easy to drop in as a visitor or new comer. I like the workouts, they are really hard, and they will defiantly push you. The gym is very organized and clean. The air conditioning works, which you don’t always get with little box gyms. They offer a lot of different class times and open gym hours, which is nice. It doesn’t seem like there is a real sense of community at this gym, the people are not super welcoming.

SLC crossfit helped me get active and back into CrossFit again after a couple of lazy college years. I learned that form and scaling are two of the most important things when it comes to working out. I was at my heaviest when I started in April and though I’m not in SLC right now I’ve stuck with CrossFit here in VA for the summer until I’m back in Utah in a month. Since April I have lost over 20 pounds and now I crave to go to the gym and see the community. I can’t wait to get back and show the progress I’ve continued to make!

I have been going to SLC Crossfit for a little over two months now. I have had the best experience at this gym. The trainers are friendly and interested in my progress. The people who attend the classes are awesome and encouraging. The equipment is plentiful and well maintained. It's a really fun atmosphere and it's turned working out into an addiction for me. SLC Crossfit is a great box. The trainers are excellent. They care about your progression and making sure you are preforming the lifts correctly. I have had Brock, Jonas, and Justin as trainers and they are all top notch. Having good trainers is crucial to Crossfit and any type of physical activity when pushing the boundaries.
The facility is clean, huge, and very welcoming. They have an online tracking app (Wodify) to help you see your progression and view the WOD the night before. My back squat has increased from 185 lb to 285 lb.
I have since attended 235 times in that first year and LOVE it. The fantastic programming and camaraderie is what drives my desire to workout every day.

I have been a member of this gym for 8 years. They have a wide variety of options for CrossFit classes, competitive CrossFit, Olympic lifting, and powerlifting. The coaches and members are friendly and motivating. The classes are programmed knowledgeably with both strength and cardio components. It is, overall, a great place to be part of a community and get stronger!

I travel a lot and frequently drop in to the local CF gym when I have time. This is one of the better run, better staffed, and better equipped gyms I've been to in a while. The layout is great, and they were super accommodating to let me do "open gym" while they had a WOD going on.
I would recommend this gym without hesitation. Justin and his crew are A+.

A year and a half in and I still love Slc Crossfit. Although the coaches have changed and omg how I miss coach Nat, all the new coaches are just as good if not better even if you never see them dancing around like coach Nat did, they're all still awesome in their own way. People still give me that look when I mention doing crossfit or ask how many times I've been injured I always just say 0 injuries and about 200 pounds lost ✌️💅

I was originally hesitant - maybe a little intimidated; however, the onboarding process is seamless - and the fundamentals required to be successful are adequately installed within the first couple weeks.

SLC Crossfit EAST is THE place to train!
I've been doing crossfit for about two years now, and having moved 3 times during this period, I've tried many, many gyms around town, from Murray, Holladay, Downtown Salt Lake, West Valley, and all the way out in Draper. I've also been following many of the gym's WOD blogs, and comparing between them on a near-daily basis.
The bottom line is: SLC Crossfit East is the best gym in town. Hands down. Vi Diamond is an amazing coach and has gotten me into the best shape of my life--more so that I even knew possible! The staff is friendly and welcoming, offering motivation and expert instruction/attention with every movement. The daily WOD's are also the best I've seen; they're dynamic, challenging, and well thought out With an intensive, yet functional warm up, strength conditioning, and mobility work, in addition to the daily WOD, I have learned to push myself in a whole new way.
The gym itself is also one of the nicest I've seen. All of the equipment is new, and top of the line. Everything is well-organized, clean, and there is always plenty of space. After having been to this gym, then trying a few others when I moved, and quickly realizing that none of them compared, I have decided that the quality of workout I get here is well worth the trip.
Needless to say, I highly recommend this gym; it seriously sets a whole new standard for the Utah crossfit scene.

Crossfit, and specifically the training I received at SLC Crossfit, has improved my physical health in so many ways. After just a few months I noticed changes in my endurance, lifting ability (of which I had none), and skills/mobility. But to focus only on the physical improvements would be missing out on the most important (and surprising to me) benefit I have gained from Crossfit: improvement in my mental health. As someone who’s struggled with perfectionism and anxiety related with that, Crossfit has taught me so many valuable lessons that have helped me refocus on what is truly important in a way nothing else has. It has taught me to focus on my physical ability, not physical appearance; to dig in and train my weaknesses, not hide them; to not shy away from failure but to use it as a platform to learn and improve. All of these lessons became an integral part of my training and, as a result, a part of my daily life.

It's not easy by any means! But this place deliver the results. I have been to few Crossfit locations throughout the country. Including the ultimate Reebok Crossfit in 5th Ave in New York. I have to say SLC CrossFit is my favorite. I love the staff, the training, WOD are well planned and well set up. I really like the owner Justin. You can reach to him anytime if you are having an issue of a workout or any personal advice. If you want to challenge your body and mind... Push to the next limit.... then this is the place. I highly recommend this location.

But if you’re looking for a community of people that will encourage you to become the best possible version of yourself than you should drop into SLC Crossfit
The coaches here are Intelligent, articulate, and great people.
But the best part about Crossfit is your class family that you face each "well programed" yet brutal workout with day after day.
If this is your first time in the gym or you want to become a Regionals athlete this is the gym to make your fitness goals real

I don't normally take time to write reviews but I feel like these guys have done something special. This is the 3rd gym I've been to in Salt Lake and it's the unquestionably the best. I initially made the mistake of choosing another crossfit gym because they offered a "special". They packed me in with a bunch of other new people, the coaching was terrible and I got hurt. I swore off crossfit and went back to my old gym. It wasn't until my friend told me about her experience at SLC crossfit that I decided to give it another try.
Wow, what a difference it makes when you have good coaches. I was able to see results immediately and could actually start progressing. Now I love crossfit. These guys made it fun and safe. Seriously, If you're looking in to crossfit, try these guy out.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt like this was the right thing to do. When I first started Crossfit, my intentions were to try this out for a month and leave when my track season started back up again. Its been 8 months, and I still find myself coming in everyday. If you are new to Crossfit, they start you off on a couple of fundamental classes (you get a feel for the flow of workouts and learn how to execute compound movements) Coming in here is a culture shock. People from very different types of backgrounds come together and enjoy each other's company in a friendly competition. The bond is strong in this community. There's just something about collapsing breathless on the floor, knowing you gave it your absolute all, looking over and seeing your buddy doing the same thing (while questioning if he's still alive). If you're not 100% sure about starting Crossfit just yet, they do offer FREE Saturday classes to get a feel for it. I'll be leaving Salt Lake soon and this place will be missed, but definitely grabbing a workout here when I visit.

I am a traditional gym kind of guy and hadn't done Crossfit before. I wanted to try it as I have determined I do better with group classes. They just motivate me to work harder. I also wanted something that used weights and cardio. So Crossfit seemed like a good option.
I just attended my first class and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this facility for any of you forty plusers like me.

the reasons i love East..... planned, effective programming. Air Conditioning. Clean from floors to ceiling (yes the bathrooms too). Rogue equipment makes you feel stronger. fantastic owner and trainers.

Je ne peux quitter cette ville et cette merveilleuse salle de crossfit sans laisser de commentaire bien mérité.J'ai frequenter cette salle presque tout les jours de la semaine pendant 4 mois et appris a connaitre le directeur en premier (Justin) qui ma très bien accueilli puis par la suite les coaches que je vais remercier car malgré mon anglais très faible ils ont tous pris le temps a chaque leçon et chaque jours le temps de m'expliquer personnellement sans jamais voir un moment d'ennui de se répéter. Un grand merci a toutes cette formidable équipe de coches très qualifier en commençant par Erica Jordan Brook Nick Rob et Justin, ainsi que tout se qui si entraine et avec qui j'ai facilement familiarisé.Le materiel est excellent la salle est très grande et certains professionnel n'hésiterons pas a vous conseillez.
