Firstly, I wanted to thank all of the amazing coaches that I have had the pleasure of working with: Kim, Whitney, Taylor, and Cori. I have never in my life have felt more comfortable at a gym. The coaches really stride on making a gym that not only empowers you, but makes you see real results. I'd like a personal experience, They have a challenge called the 'Iron50' and it's a challenge where you really have to pay attention to what you're eating and make sure that you exercise daily. I decided to do it at the beginning of September (spoilers, I completed it), during the 50 days, my father passed away from COVID-19. This was probably one of the hardest things I have had to deal with. The day after my dad died I was at the gym -- not because it was a destructive 'let me get exercise the pain away' situation, but because it was a place that gave me stability. The iron50 also helped in the fact that I had to keep my mind on other things, healthier things. The coaches went out of their way and gave me a beautiful card, that to this day, I have not been able to read. They supported me in so many ways through my fathers death and were ultimately the reason I still continued on and completed my iron50 goal. If you're wanting to go to a gym where the coaches really care about YOU. I definitely recommend Iron Allies Fitness. I've attached before and after photos of myself, I am not at my goal yet, but you can really see the difference.

I have been going to Iron Allies for almost a year. They do an incredible job of creating a fun, extremely welcoming environment and a warm community. As a professional in the health and fitness industry, I know quality training when I see it, and Iron Allies does it well. The staff is knowledgeable about the body and different health situations, and I love that I don’t have to worry about risk of injury for my clients. LOVE IAF! This is the best gym I’ve ever been a member of due to the staff, their experience with training and being able to breakdown your diet if you choose to do so and they work at your pace. All the instructors are motivating and fun! I’ve been a member for about a year and I love it, this is a 5 star gym to say the least! The best workout ever. Highly recommend joining.

Iron Allies Fitness has been such a wonderful addition to my life. I walked in on a whim, trying to do something different with my health. Taylor immediately welcomed me in, gave me a run down of what to expect, and even gave me free classes to try it out. I was shocked to find out that this gym offers a family culture environment. I feel comfortable and supported. They also offer nutrition advice, health coaching, weight lifting, they offer diversity in the class routines, fun events, challenges with prizes, and so much more. Don’t be afraid to try it, the coaches are amazing and you’ll be part of the Iron Allies Family before you know it. :)

I love this place, Iron Allies Fitness is the best place to achieve your goals in transforming your body, I've been here for 6 months and I've managed to gain muscle mass, and I've lost weight in fat. for years I always attended other gyms, and I never achieved anything, I think is because of the great motivation that is in Iron Allis Fitness, they make you feel like family, it really is very nice, also I like that it is a very clean place, the place is disinfected after each training session. I really enjoy going to this gym. Since I’ve joined I’ve lost somewhere around 35lbs and I still have 25 to go until I reach my original goal. I’m going to be working out here until I reach said goal, and even after that I’m going to keep coming as long as I possibly can. The coaches are kind and helpful, always going around the gym providing encouragement and correcting form as they see it. They also provide nutrition assistance to help you reach your weight loss/muscle building goals. Lastly they create a supportive atmosphere/community that encourages people to do their best. As someone who doesn’t naturally like the idea of working out with a group, I would say their efforts make the experience worthwhile.

I have never enjoyed working out as much as I do now. Always hated it and saw it as an everyday chore. Now I look forward to my morning workouts on Mondays. I was so nervous my first class but everyone welcomed me with open arms! They know you by name and will personally check up on you via text. Super personable, safe, and inviting! I've tried out many group fitness classes during my time in SLC over the years and I've been most impressed with Iron Allies Fitness. From the moment I stepped in for my first class, I was greeted and welcomed. The facility is super clean which is good because you'll be on the floor doing push ups and burpees 😂. The coaches are all very personable and check in with you throughout class. They are always available for guidance and questions. You will never get bored with same routine either. The workouts continuously evolve and the coaches always keep it interesting. I am happy to have found Iron Allies Fitness. It's my favorite indoor place to sweat.

It's great place to workout and learn about fitness. They have different work out plan each day. I feel comfortable exercise here and member has their own workout stations which is super nice. The most diverse and best group of coaches and gym members. I have 2 screws in my ankle and they always check my posture, give different techniques for my lack of ankle mobility. This group keeps me from getting injured and they push me to lift heavy or do more reps as long as my body mechanics are looking great.

Adding to this past review, Iron Allies has been amazing since I joined in April! I’ve lost 18 inches and built a community of people who are always there to support me. I couldn’t do it without the people and the coaches! Iron Allies has been everything that I need in a fitness journey!!! A co worker presented me IAF and I was like ok fine I will try it . So I love this gym . IAF is not just a gym you go to. The sense of community and acceptance it’s so great . You won’t feel like a number ( I have tried a few gyms and yes I was just a number ) . Here I feel supported, I feel loved I feel the coaches really care about me and they push me to reach my goals. How many times I was pushed to lift a heavier weight and I was like wow I can do it ! They know how to empower you ! We have a private group on Facebook which is so great . Also we have coach calls where the coaches and members will talk about some things and it’s literally a group therapy where every participant can share things and Ideas and it’s great because I have learned and strengthen myself a lot just from those coaching calls. IAF, what an amazing team. Before I joined, I could barely do a single push-up and my legs had lost all power due to an accident and inactivity. The amazing team at IAF gave me my strength back. Here’s my experience with Iron Allies Fitness for the past 6 months. I was looking for a gym that would help me maintain the burst of motivation that I was feeling, that could accommodate my bizarre work schedule, and that could build my confidence in myself and at the gym. I found all of that and more with Iron Allies. I was drawn by their all encompassing approach with teaching about healthy nutrition, mobility before strength, emphasizing and correcting to proper form, personalized and modified work outs to accommodate different capability levels, educating on everyday questions (how to make healthy living work for you and your specific situation), strengthening and addressing mental health, and building a network of accountability to keep you going. I love how genuine our coaches are for their clients' health and goals. The community that Iron Allies promotes and develops is awesome as well; I love that we can work out and never feel judged for modifications or the amount of weight we are using; I love that we can interact, be vulnerable, and help each other through social media. If you’re in a similar place as I was when searching for a gym, you have nothing to lose except some sweat and time to give Iron Allies Fitness a try!

I highly recommend this gym/fitness studio. The coaches are incredible and you can tell they care about your success and progress. The atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging, and the space is always clean and tidy upon arrival. The workouts vary daily so you don’t get bored easily if you go frequently like me. I recently moved to SLC from New England & needed to find a gym that offered group fitness classes to help take care of my physical, mental, emotional & spiritual well being. I spent a lot it time reading about different gyms on the internet & looking at their reviews & social media posts. Right away IAF stood out for me as a place I might feel welcome & comfortable at but I kept looking to make sure I did a thorough search. Ultimately it was IAF’s daily Instagram posts that convinced me to drop by to see if the coaches, facility and people were as good as they looked online. I was immediately impressed by the friendly, welcoming & informative coaches and signed up for a free trial week. So glad I took the plunge & did it! IAF has become an important part of my life that I look forward to. Shortly after I joined, I broke a bone in my foot (not @ the gym) and had to wear a walking cam boot. IAF coaches diligently & caring worked with me to advise and direct workouts modifications to ensure my safety and ability to participate. It’s been a great experience. I especially enjoy the encouragement & comradeship of the other people working out there.

I have felt welcome at this gym since the moment I walked in the first day. I've been a member of gyms on and off, mostly off, for 30 years. This is the 1st place I've been to where they remember my name. They know who I am. The sense of community is unlike anything I've ever experienced. The workouts are hard but good and I'm seeing results. The trainers always make sure I'm using correct form, they modify the exercises for me if needed, and there is no judgement! I've been to a few gyms both in SLC and Seattle and can confidently say this one hands down is the best I've ever been to. The community at IAF are unlike any other. From the athletes, to the coaches, everyone is kind, supportive, and helpful. I have hyper-mobility and have never been able to properly do a squat. Within one session with Cori, she was able to work with my body and get me to safely and fully squat. The coaches at IAF are always finding ways that I can modify due to my condition and do the same for each individual based on injury, pregnancy, ability, etc. If you are looking for a place that cares about you, will greet you every day by name, and new friends doing their best in their fitness journey, then IAF is the gym for you!

I've been with IAF for 6 months now and I've found my home. I cannot say enough how life-changing it has been. By far the best gym and coaching I've ever had! In 6 months, I've lost 13.6 lbs of body fat (9.3%) all while gaining 3 lbs of muscle. I didn't think that would even be possible for someone like me to lose body fat while still gaining muscle in such short time. But IAF literally supports you the whole way there. I do the group classes and attend 5 times a week. It's so fun and the coaches are so supportive. Even though there are other people in the class doing the workouts with you, the coaches always come around to help you with form and safety. It's like having a personal trainer each day. I work with Taylor, Cori, and Kim mostly for classes and they are amazing! Taylor coaches me and gives me the diet/macros to follow based on my body type and individual goals. I can text questions and meet every 4-6 weeks for a body scan to check-in on my progress. Seriously, if you follow the individualized plan they give you completely, IT WORKS! I've learned SO much from this gym. They've not just helped me get fit and reach my goals, but they engraved healthy habits in me that I will hold on to so that I stay fit. Probably the BIGGEST reason why this gym has worked so well for me is the supportive environment. They welcome all body types and cultures. You can be who you are at this gym with absolutely no judgement. I brought my partner, Patrick to class and now he's signed on and loves it! He's also seen amazing results in the past several months. I love that the coaches know every person's name in class and they shout out successes we are having not just in the gym, but outside the gym too like for work/personal life. I've met some wonderful friends through IAF. Truly the best gym in Salt Lake. Trust me. You will LOVE it here.

I deliberately waited until I'd been going here a while to post a review. I was skeptical and kept expecting the same issues I had encountered with gyms or trainers in the past. But after coming here five days a week for the past three months I feel pretty confident I know this place. I love it. I feel like I have a second mini family. The other people you workout with are caring and invested in your success, because the trainers and owners are so caring and invested. It's a supportive environment, which means a lot to me as someone who began barely able to do the simplest things. They made modifications and explained good technique and always helped me without ever making me feel inferior. Cori is an amazing trainer, she taught me snatch and clean drills that helped me break down the movements in a way I had never had before. She was incredibly focused on every single joint movement during the Olympic lifts and had a drill to work on each piece. For the past several years I've struggled to reach my fitness goals (diet and exercise) and as a result my confidence suffered. I tried different gyms, fitness instructors, and personal trainers with only minor progress or no progress at all. My lack of success was my mostly my fault, not theirs. After following Iron Allies Fitness (IAF) for about a year on social media and with the recommendation from a friend, I decided to give this gym a chance. I've been going now for about a month and have loved my experience. I realized I made the right choice from the first day. Most gyms offer a free consultation that lasts about 10 minutes (if you're lucky) and then you jump right into a workout. But at IAF, we spent the entire consultation (about an hour) just talking about my fitness goals, my past exercise and diet experiences, my fears, current obstacles, and the deeper reasons for why I have the goals I have. I signed up that day, received a custom meal plan the next day, and was assigned an accountability coach to follow up with me to provide guidance and advice, and I began working out with the friendliest trainers. I really wanted to write a review after I completed my "Six Week Challenge," but after todays class and the way it has me feeling, I have to share now. I went into this boot camp hoping to become more thinner and stronger that would help me become more happier Today is my second week of the "Six Week Challenge" but the 5th week in total. I have lost weight and become more stronger. After each class we take a few minutes to stretch and the instructor always take the time to see how we are feeling. All the instructors do this and they really care about how you are doing physically and emotionally. Today I had the pleasure of having Cori as an instructor. As a non-athlete, I was nervous about coming to the gym...I even came in for a tour (no workout) just to meet the team and calm my anxieties. But...I’ve never felt more welcome and supported. The trainers have been, not only friendly, but MORE than willing to modify and adjust the exercises to accommodate past injuries and limitations. The nutrition plan has been easy to follow and had kept hunger away. Class size is small and Cori and Taylor encourage community and respect. I’m having surgery in July and they’ve already been brainstorming to come up with a program I can do during my recovery. I’ve been to other boxes that I thought were good but IAF blows them away.

I’ve been training with Taylor for almost 3 years now, most of it at another gym. The last two months at Iron Allies fitness have been superior for several reasons. 1) The IAF gym has a lot more room! It’s very spacious and bright. Whatever equipment I need to use, I don’t have to dodge and squeeze by other people like I used to in a crowded gym. 2) The bootcamps/group training are fun - and I’m not even a bootcamp/group-type of person! I can be as much a part of the group as I want to be, either really social and laughing with everyone, or kinda off in my own little world Everyone - coaches and clients - is friendly and helpful, and not in a “pushy” sort of way. One-on-one training is always available too - that’s what I do mostly - so...options! 3) This is The Cleanest, Tidiest gym I’ve ever seen. All mats and handles are cleaned every day. Anything on the floor is picked up or cleaned up right away, in any other gym, you’ll come in and see bumper plates, dumbbells, barbells, and kettlebells leaning against a wall, under a bench, on the floor, and mostly not in order of ascending weight. Go to IAF and you’ll find everything where it should be, in order, racked, stacked, and it’s easy to find what you need! 4) The trainers have different personalities, of course, but they are uniformly positive and realistic. Your mobility, balance, and strength will be assessed at your initial visit, and no trainer will ever ask you to do something you cannot functionally do. For every exercise you do, whether you complete 1 rep or 30 reps, you’ll be encouraged and noticed for your effort. All the trainers see you as successful right out of the gate! 5) One of the features I most love about Iron Allies is the free Saturday Seminars. They’re really informative, and there’s plenty of time for questions. Some of my friends couldn’t come to the Saturday Seminar on Nutrition and have asked me when we’ll have another. It was really well-attended, all the attendees had questions, and all questions were answered. Nutrition is either totally neglected or under-emphasized at the several other big-name gyms I’ve been to. These people know the facts and will give them to you straight and complete! 6) Location, location, location. It’s easy to reach off either I-15 or I-80 (the I-215 city loop connects with both). I live 5 miles away and can get there in 10 minutes even using surface streets. 7) Last - and best...FUN! Fitness, health, and nutrition can be fun! Training can be a laugh a minute! If you want to incorporate a little stand-up comedy into your training, the clients and coaches will roll with that!
