Rachel is a great trainer. This was my first strength training class ever and I was apprehensive about not being able to do some of the exercises because of bad knees. However, Rachel always showed the class 2-3 ways to do an exercise, i.e., easiest to hardest, that allowed us all to participate at a level that was safe & comfortable. She is always cheerful & encourages you to do what you can while gently "pushing" you to "stretch." I very much enjoy her classes & look forward to the next session.

I started working with Rachel during my first trimester when I realized that, although I’m very comfortable in the gym having lifted weights and worked out consistently for many years, I knew absolutely nothing about my bodies needs and restrictions are while pregnant. Rachel answered all of my questions and created a plan that let me have confidence in the fact that I was setting my body up for a successful birth and postpartum experience. As I’d hoped, I used many of the tools Rachel gave me to both help induce labor, and get me through my unmedicated birth. Coming up on three weeks postpartum I am about 5lbs away from my pre-baby weight and (although Rachel has reminded me it’s not yet!) my body feels back to normal. I know with her continued guidance I will be able to get back to my pre-pregnancy style workouts on a timeline that won’t do more damage than good, and that is priceless!

Rachel is so knowledgeable about exercise and coaching, including during the prenatal and postpartum periods, and I know that the fitness program she has designed for me is helping me get stronger for delivery and postpartum. She is always available if I have a question and has been so great about tailoring her coaching based on my fitness level and how I’m feeling. I would 100% recommend Mamabear Fitness!

After working with Rachel Pelletier for 10 months, I am in the best shape of my life at 60 yrs old. I have lost 25 lbs. But more importantly, I feel strong, more energenic, and my blood pressure is great!
Rachel knows just what exercises to target certain areas in a safe, effective way. My favorite is when we do exercises she refers to as " more bang for your buck" where she targets two areas at once with one exercise.
