As a division 1 wrestler briefly stopping into town this place was perfect for staying in shape, the 3 racks plus ample dumbbells and floor space made the workout just as easy to do as home. The turf area was great for working some motion stuff afterward. The whole experience was tied together nicely by gym dog Trudy.

The Bodysmith is the best!!! The differentiating factor between the Bodysmith and any other gym I have belonged to is hands down, THE PEOPLE. Brad and his team are amazing!!! The members are equally fabulous - I've met so many new friends along my health journey. They are constantly pushing you to be your best. The environment is welcoming, not intimidating. My class workouts are followed with a cool, refreshing peppermint towel and a smoothie from the smoothie bar! I've been a member of The Bodysmith for about 5 years. The staff and the members are nothing like I have ever experienced at other gyms, they are like family. They genuinely care. The Bodysmith is not just a great gym, they have taught me that nutrition is #1, recovery is #2 and exercise is #3. I'm usually at the gym 4 - 5 days a week and no longer look at it as something I have to do to "lose weight". I recently retired and decided that my membership to The Bodysmith is not something I am willing to give up because it's something that I do for ME. My workouts here are the highlight of my day. The classes are challenging and fun. I feel so welcome, genuinely happy to be there. It is hands-down the friendliest gym in town. Brad and the staff at The Bodysmith are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and encouraging. It's a great atmosphere for working out. What I particularly like is that the workouts are functional and incorporate balance and coordination in addition to strength training. The staff doesn't just put you on a machine and count your reps. The workouts are thoughtful and science based. Even the group training is optimized for each individual. I recommend highly.

The Bodysmith offers both private training and group fitness. I needed group classes because I don't self motivate well. I've worked out at a variety of gyms but what I came to discover about Brad's workouts was that he knows his stuff. The workouts are structured in a way so that I gain more muscle, and burn more fat, than most other types of training I had done. I was also impressed with how Bodysmith managed to stay open and accessible during covid. This place and the people in it will work as hard as you, will hold you accountable, and will celebrate every victory you attain if you just give them the chance.

I get a lot of support from all the coaches, along with inspirational emails from Coach Brad. This is how I start my day 5-6 x week. Period. Brad communicates frequently with his members and provides thought provoking content in addition to relevant health information related to nutrition, movement, and restoration. I don’t feel like I go to a gym, but instead I belong to a community of like minded individuals. I come in town about once a year and always come here with a friend. The workouts and programs are very up to date with the latest fitness science. The instructors watch out for everyone’s needs and levels. Classes are intimate so you aren’t lost in the crowd and get to know folks in your class. Plus the facilities are super clean, shakes/nutrition offerings are a great variety.

December 18, 2020 It is going on a year now that I have been coming to Body Smith. COVID has really changed things up. In spite of such giants as Planet Fitness closing, Coach Brad has made a supreme effort to remain open while at the same time being safe about it. The group exercise classes are somewhat limited in their capacity since COVID, but I have never not been allowed to participate because the class was too large. Everyone in the class is extremely diligent about cleaning the equipment between use, and there are plenty of spray bottles of cleaner around to sanitize equipment. The group exercise classes change every month, so one doesn't get bored with the routine. Even within the group classes, efforts have been made to keep everyone as safe as possible with the implementation of several different exercise "stations". As part of the Customized program, either Brad or Katie makes up a new weight-lifting routine every few weeks. Coaches typically ask what you liked about the previous program or what you would like to see included in the new one. If there is something you don't like, or causes some pain, they will modify it accordingly. Great pains (bad choice of words) is made to use proper form when exercising, be it the group class or lifting. Coaches Brad, Katie, and Kirsten are sticklers for proper form to get the most out of the exercise while at the same time not hurting yourself. Body Smith is not like Golds, Blue Moon, 24-Hour Fitness, or Planet Fitness. The coaches and staff always greet you when you enter, and they know your name; you aren't a number, and they know if you don't show up to class when you said you were going to. I have had memberships at several of those listed above. Those places don't know who you are and probably don't care as long as the money keeps flowing in. As to the $10 a month membership to some of these places being advertised as the new year approaches, you get what you pay for. See if you can find a coach or trainer at one of these places that will seek you out and correct your form if you are doing something wrong, or worse, counter-productive. Good luck with that.

They will change your life! I have worked out on my own, I have joined a "come to class"-gym, but this place - they will help you get you healthy and in shape. All you need to do is show up and they've got the plan, the encouragement, the instruction, and the interest. Even as an introvert, they have created the family-atmosphere for me. I’m a self-proclaimed fast-food addict and I absolutely hate working out. However I was 5’7” and over 270 lbs so I was convinced that I needed to lose weight. I have done personal training in the past and I’ve done other diet programs but The Bodysmith’s Little Black Dress Program appealed to me for several reasons: it was a six week program so I didn’t feel the pressure of a long-term commitment right off the bat, I thought “I can do nearly anything for six weeks”, I would be provided a meal plan for breakfast lunch dinner and snack that told me exactly what I needed to eat (no guess work or research needed), and I could attend group exercise classes 3 days a week. What I didn’t expect but was pleasantly surprised about was the super friendly and supportive environment. The staff and other participants got to know me and encouraged me along the way. I absolutely loved the Facebook group. It was a great resource and sounding board. It was also comforting knowing others were eating the same things as you because we’re all on the same meal plan. So if we had a question about a recipe we could post on the FB page and get a response right away because there were others out there preparing the same meal. We could post our struggles and get feedback from the coaches and other participants. And at the end of the six weeks we all put on our little black dresses and had a super fun party! I ended up surpassing my goal and lost 20 lbs (12 lbs of pure body fat). At the end of the six weeks I signed up to be a full member of the gym because I loved the supportive environment so much and I wanted to keep up my progress. I highly recommend The Bodysmith.

I loved coming to the Bodysmith! As a college softball player back home for the summer, it was a great time and kept me in shape while I wasn’t at school. The staff was always friendly and helpful with my college lifting program. I love the smoothie bar as a treat after workouts and love seeing Trudy, the gym dog. Thank you all again and I’d definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to find a comfortable and supportive gym.
