Easily the best gym in the Astoria area. I tried a few others before settling with Club Fitness. Clientele who know what they're doing and clean up after themselves, staff who are kind and helpful, and facilities are great. Sauna and steam room as well as sufficient locker space and showers.

I have been a member at Club Fitness for many years and for many wonderful reasons. Club Fitness has 4.5 floors, and each floor level & room has ample space dedicated to different muscle groups. Ladies & Gents, you get AMAZING instructors with dedicated studios for yoga, spin, & cross-fit. There are lounges for men & women as well as steam rooms and saunas. Go for the membership, make the change & stick to it. You won't be disappointed! There truly isn't any other place like Club Fitness :)

The most “okay” of gyms with so much potential to be great. There are no mats and no towels; the dance studio has been closed for at least 6 months and is currently used mysteriously as storage (there is one chair in it); the only class offered is a spin class; the tvs are always on old episodes of the Kardashians or Draftkings with no closed captioning and it’s unclear who that’s for; and there is a lot of wasted space, like a long-defunct juice bar. On the upside, the machines and equipment generally work well and there are a few different spaces with weights, benches, and bars so you can spread out. People are pretty good about wiping the equipment after they’re done and don’t normally hog anything. For what I pay monthly, I would’ve hoped at least for knee pads or yoga mats and the ability to use the empty dance studio.

There is no vending machines on this gym where you can buy water or other drinks! A gym with a high subscription fee should have at least more accessories for their clients!

Been working out for a few years, and tried some gyms, they are the BEST! They have so many different machines and weights, barely need to wait for other people to finish; gym is quite clean, and well maintained. Staffs are very friendly and helpful, and the owner is very kind, reasonable, and easy to talk with. very sad to move out of the neighborhood, gonna miss them.

This gym has been my second home for the past 7 years and I also worked as a personal trainer for them for the past 1.5 year. I absolutely love it and I will miss it as I am moving to Florida. Family business, cool people, friendly stuff, huge space, a lottttt of machines and equipment, chill vibes and generally you can get easily a good workout!

Pros: lots of machines, amenities, people are normal never had a bad experience with no one, it’s a big gym u could work out on the main floor which is the one with all the machines on the fourth floor and the basement also has a lot of equipment with nice squat racks and it’s kinda like a gym of it’s own, and theirs a room thats dedicated to core training and two locker rooms one on the fourth floor and one in the basement Cons: Not 24 hours, pretty pricey, they keep u under a contract so if u want to leave the gym you’re gonna have to pay a fee to get out of your contract, it can be very crowded imo for a pricey gym you’d expect it to be exclusive but it really is not, there’s too many cardio machines like it’s not a bad thing but there is like 2 floors just dedicated to it and a extra room on the third floor next to the locker rooms also is cardio, and the main floor also has cardio machines like a lot of space is wasted and u could use that to put more racks, other machines etc…, a few machines sometimes don’t work well and some of the bars are not good for deadlifting for example which can be annoying but that’s jus me, also more clips safety first

I love my gym. It's gotten a huge variety of machines, a four floor place with spining classes under the stars, sauna, jaccuzzi, cross-fitness, boxing. The high ceilings fourth floor is my favorite, there you find most of machines, including some cardio too. A very culturally diverse place where you may run into humble fitness models and fitness champion that will inspire you to work out every single day! For the parents, the gym offer a day care. A juice bar has food and great options of juices and shakes. The machines are the best quality I have ever seen: smooth, practical and with a great selection, which are quickly fixed. They are always buying a new type of machine. The fitness classes are great too: yoga, pilates, abs, belly dancing, zumba. The gym is conveniently located just off the Broadway n and w train stop. And due to its family own bussiness style, we can just speak with the owner; who is there every day, in case of any issue. I also love how I can bring a friend to try out.

Great gym but sauna needs to be cleaned. The sauna has a constant smell because the floor hasn’t been cleaned in forever. I don’t understand why that’s the case since the bathroom is directly across from it, you would think that they can give it a quick mop since they have to mop the bathroom anyway. Someone’s not doing there job right or management just doesn’t care which is sad either way. Covid or not things just have to get cleaned regardless. I really hope this review makes a difference, again it’s a great gym I’m not trying to bash it. It just needs more attention on the simple details that should be taken cared of automatically.

Not very well-maintaned, not a lot of amenities... Sauna always has something hanging out of the ceiling, but it works. A good enough value for the price, but they could be a lot nicer if they put in a bit more effort maintaining things. I also really want the juice bar to be open... I've been coming for about a year now, and it has never been open since I started... I want a smoothie!!!

This gym is great for serious lifters, a lot machines and many barbells. Many hot fit girls here and jacked roid heads give great motivation as well. 4 stars because the bathroom is kind of dirty and moldy.

Club Fitness continues its excellence! New equipment has been added as well as new fitness classes and instructors, and all are superb. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I am greeted with a warm welcome and a smile every time I walk in. The gym is always clean as well as the ladies locker room, bathrooms, and showers. Brand new hairdryers have also been provided! The positive vibe here only gets better and it is always a pleasure to go to this gym to get a great workout. i highly recommend Club Fitness to everyone!

Great gym, howevever they need to do a better job keeping up with the water fountains, they're not properly maintained and filters need to be changed. Men showers appear to not be cleaned daily and visual mold is present.

The best gym in Astoria. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is always enough equipment and space to train. With 3 floors to work out on and a whole bunch of cardio machines. It's worth it.

Great equipment. Don’t offer day passes. Majority of the staff are young or immature with a “chip on their shoulder” for some reason. Heard two young girls/employees giving an attitude to someone requesting a day pass as their membership expired and they were moving so they wanted to just do a day pass. They were incredibly condescending to the inquiry. So in summary great equipment and space but maybe the owner should educate his staff on how to treat people with respect

I came here with my sister who is a member. I was overwhelmed by how many floors the gym had. There are so many different and new equipment. Gym is clean. I definitely enjoyed working out in “the cave” in the lower level. It felt more secluded. I went on a Thursday evening and to my surprise there weren’t many people. I would definitely come again.

Great gym, the hours are super convenient. The inner and outer thigh machine on the third floor is not symmetric, please fix. Also people make a line to use it, maybe there should be an extra one. The treadmill on the third floor, first row, next to the door makes a very loud noise when you are running on it. I have had to use it a couple of times when it gets busy, the noise is very annoying.

This gym is really sanitary, the machines are in very good conditions. The staff is really friendly also. Been coming to this gym for the past 5 years and i recommend it to my friends and family. I love the sauna and steam room, and i enjoy the jacuzzi. This is an amazing gym to be a part of.

I was member of this gym for nearly 2 years. The gym is gigantic. Got fair share of weight training , treadmills, stair masters and plenty of room. I did do personal training as well. I had done PT in past so knew what to expect and it turned out alright. I never got to try any classes. I was impressed with the weight training room with plenty of weights. I would advise on a little more maintenance of equipments. More weighing machines. I wish the manager is available in person during peak workout hours. I always found it difficult to reach the manager on phone during my office hours. A good gym in the area.

I miss this gym every day. I moved to Manhattan and the commute to go to this gym is just a bit too far, but when I lived in Astoria I went here every single day for nearly 2.5 years. It was the perfect environment and had everything I needed - great vibe, spacious, quality machines, tons of benches and free weights... The only thing that I could even possibly think of that they don't have is woodway treadmills (great for serious runners or those who need a break on the knees) - but everything else is up to date, well maintained, and sparkling. I loved the cave for a functional fitness area, was thrilled with the amount of squat racks, and just generally comfortable doing any workout there. It's where I found my love for lifting and transitioned my style of working out. I'm forever grateful for it. If you have any doubts, don't - sign up.

Great gym with a wide variety of training equipment to use. My only complaint is the locker rooms.. it would be nice if they would provide some toiletries such as shampoo and lotion like they do at crunch and most other gyms of the same caliber.

All these recent reviews calling the gym clean HAVE to be the staff or friends of the owner because it’s SO dirty. I’ve never seen anyone clean. All the pedals of any stair stepper or elliptical are filthy, the yoga mats are disgusting, there are always tumbleweeds of hair and dust blowing all over the floors... this place could be SO nice if they just kept it clean. I’m considering cancelling my membership strictly because of the cleanliness. Everything else about it is great

Overall a really great gym in Astoria (probably the best one in Astoria). There is plenty of equipment to use and almost everybody that goes there is really serious about working out, which I find to be motivating (unlike places like PF where they serve you Pizza lol). The reason for 4 starts instead of 5 is because I wish that the locker room and bathroom areas could be updated a bit; they are not terrible, but could definitely be a little nicer/cleaner/updated. But, overall, I don't really have any major complaints.

I’m so happy to call this place my safe haven ! It is fully equipped and has an extensive selection of classes. Aside from being a large facility it still feels cozy. The lady’s changing room is sparkling clean and that’s thanks to Maria. It has high-caliber fitness instructors who are passionate about fitness and give the best small group training classes. ( I love you Dorien :) and the BEST spin instructor (Xavier). My absolute favorite part of the facility is the Cave. If you like cross training this would be your playground. There is no better gym than Club Fitness. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve been a member at Club Fitness since I moved to Astoria in 2013 and it is by far the best gym in Astoria and Long Island City. In the 6 years I’ve been there, their membership rates are fair and have never gone up. Their equipment is well maintained and recently they got some new weight machines. Best time to go is off hours if you don’t like crowds. The staff is forever friendly and are always available to help if you have a fitness question, issue or concern. The Man Cave is their hidden gem. Go exploring down there and you’ll be glad you did! This gym ranks with the likes of Crunch, Heath and Racket Club and Equinox at a fraction of the cost. If you’re a local in Astoria or LIC, there is only one gym to go to - Club Fitness!

I really like all the amenities here, its large enough to give everyone options; it offers plenty of great classes and overall it has what every gym should have. The management of the gym is another story. The locker rooms started off looking very nice and high end but over the year and a half that ive been there I have noticed the decline in the care and cleanliness of it. For instance, the vents are all extremely dirty, the grout in the showers are falling apart and dirty. The toilet areas are filthy, the patricians are splattered and rusted, there is one toilet stall that has been out of order for over a year even though I have reported it. The machines and equipment are dirty and the floor in the class rooms are very dirty. Customer Service at the establishment is lacking. Further to that, when you call and try to speak to a manager, "she" is never available. They wont give you her name over the phone because its policy. This just speaks to their customer service standards. This manager whose name is anonymous is out the door at 5pm so any issues have to be discussed over the phone but good luck reaching her. Its too bad that it has such little attention to that area.

I used this gym from 2016 through 2019. I liked it, for the most part. First, the positives: size, location, equipment selection, friendly staff, fairly large locker rooms, reasonable operating hours, and the price is right. I didn't take any group classes here. I did personal training with Sandor "Sasha" Margittai for a number of months until an out of gym injury sidelined me. Sasha is an excellent trainer - he's funny, very knowledgeable, and figured out how to improve my mechanics on main and accessory lifts greatly after only a few sessions. I've also (during my other workouts) seen him work with people who are just starting out and lack confidence, so if you're a beginner or an intermediate gym user looking for a trainer, I would recommend Sasha. On to the negatives: As others have noted, this gym could stand a deep cleaning. Also, some of the equipment stays broken - missing plastic cladding, broken mechanicals, sensors not working - for longer than it should. Overall, this gym offers a lot at a reasonable price if you can get past the negatives.

Club fitness is the best fitness experience I've ever had. (read below how we can both get a free month) I go during the day, and the members are always courteous and staff is friendly. There is no comparison between club fitness and a chain gym, two different worlds. The gym offers 4 huge floors of workout equipment. A large variety of cardio equipment and strength building machines/free weights, stretching space. The machines are maintained (whenever I see a broken machine, it is fixed in a week or less) and new. Classes are included in the monthly price, and so is the dry/wet sauna and jacuzzi (which I've somehow never used to this day). They also have some sort of daycare for parents and a juice bar. Club fitness has helped me improve my physique and mental health. I go there to relax, not to stress about finding equipment. Some complaints about the facility that I have,(update: the following has been completed- a deep cleaning, painting, plastering, floor replacement in stretching room, +some new equipment) (owner if you read these, I would love to help you out). -the air filters between the 1st and second floor are not changed for a while, some outlets are not working or missing cover plates, in the bathroom have some of the rusty metal replaced, tighten toilet seats so they don't wobble like crazy, plaster and paint some areas. Lighting above weight lifting area needs deep clean, some other areas. Front desk needs anti scratch behind chair so the wall doesn't get abused. By far the best Gym in the area. Great staff, clean facilities, not too crowded. The machines are all newer and there are a ton of options for working out. I have been to many other gyms and always keep coming back here. The price point is fair for the amenities provided and the atmosphere is friendly both from the staff and members.

Been going to this gym for almost two years now. Clean, always have towels, and the locker rooms are decent. Only issue is the extreme crowdedness on some evenings. Morning workouts (pre 7 am) is recommended if you want to move fast.

Great facility with the most professional machines in all of Astoria. Super-enjoyable, private and relaxing fitness experience with a myriad of classes, including boxing in "the Cave" with free parking available for members. Steamroom, sauna, and hot tub in the locker areas and on-site spa facilities gives the added touch of refinement. Minus one star for a rusty sink and non-working, taped-over paper towel holder in the women's main locker room, a surprise in such a high caliber facility. Will revise when management address.

I've been a member of this gym for years. They have a great space, but it is not cared for. Over time I've seen machines replaces with newer inferior models, the leg press being the prime example; the water fountains barely work and the water coming out is lukewarm; towels are available only sometimes; and the worst offender, the gym never seems to be cleaned, so if you come into contact with the floor during your workouts you are sure to get your hands covered in hair and dust. If this place gets anything in terms of competition within a couple of blocks they are done for.

Dorian is an amazing ball of energy highly recommend her body conditioning and cardio dance classes. I've also had one on one training with Dorian and her innovative exercise circuits have shown great results. The best gym in Astoria with excellent amenities and worth the price. Free parking, although, it can get full around peak hours. Yoga instructor Juan is the best! All kinds of classes offered and so much fun! The sauna after a hard workout is my favorite. The discount on beauty spa treatments is pretty convenient and worth it!

Unlike other local gyms, this one is very clean, they have newer machines and the staff is nice and helpful. The only thing i dont understand who design the gym - putting free weight on the top level, so whenever somebody drops weight (which happens a lot) the whole floor bellow shakes, which you can feel it if you are in steamroom or sauna; which it doesnt feel relaxing...
