My first personal training. Wow, why didn’t I think of this sooner?! Probably because $$$. I have a torn rotator cuff but they can adjust the workouts around that. I love the philosophy of efficient workouts and all of the trainers have degrees in exercise physiology related fields. Add in motivation and encouragement and you have a recipe for success. So, how badly do you want to transform yourself?

Smart, educated trainers who push me to exceed my expectations every workout. I've been a client since 2006 and have always placed a high value on my DS workouts. They keep me feeling healthy and strong and I consider them an investment in my future. In the past year, I've really focused on an increased protein intake as part of my regular diet and am seeing results I never thought possible. Having the option to utilize the Bod Pod to monitor my progress has been a really good motivator and provides instant feedback so I can continue to make adjustments in real time. My previous 5 star review lamented the fact that I no longer live in Minnesota, and thus unable to continue training at Discover Strength. Enter a global pandemic: THE only bright spot was that I was able to start up virtual training with Discover Strength again, even while in Chicago! I absolutely love the workouts. They are still just as tough, even with no equipment. Trust me, you have to try it. I love the trainers, particularly Xavier. They are tough, professional and encouraging. I am so happy to be able to restart this regimen, even while in lockdown.

I’ve been attending regularly for over 3 years and couldn’t be happier with my results and how I feel. I have been going to Discover Strength/downtown Mpls for 5 months, usually 2 times per week. As a working mom of 3 kids, for me it is about the convenience and the efficiency of getting my workout done in 30 minutes twice a week. I love the trainers, enjoy the exercises and have seen results. I would recommend Discover Strength for anyone looking to improve and push themselves. It isn't an easy workout but it is worth the effort!

I've been working out 2x/week at Discover Strength for about 3.5 years. I continue to come back for several reasons: their idea of failure had been different than mine - I am (respectfully) pushed to real failure on each exercise, and leave each session feeling like I gave it my all; every workout starts and ends on time; the trainers listen, and are organized and professional; the other people who train there are great - it's a super supportive environment; I am physically stronger; I look and feel better; it's a 45 minute workout, so easy to fit into my day; the concierge staff work to accommodate my schedule. The trainers are good people - super friendly and fun. Most important - working out at Discover Strength has been fantastic for my physical and mental health!

Having worked with multiple (very good) personal trainers in the past, I can't recommend DiscoverStrength enough. They have taken the old "Work Smart, Not Hard" adage to a new level. They are voracious about learning and applying the best science to personal training and the results are evident. I am seeing better results from two highly-focused, intense 30-minute workouts a week than I was from my previous 3x per week hour and a half long workouts. As a busy executive with little time to spare, they have become an invaluable and enjoyable part of my weekly routine. On top of all this, their customer service is top-notch. Highly recommended!

This place is great. I've been going to DS for 4 years. The workouts are really hard, but can be modified based on the intensity level you want. They only take 30-45 minutes and you only need to go 2 times per week. While you do pay more than a normal gym membership, the trainers and customer service are top notch. It's worth it. Plus, unlike other gym memberships, it's worked for me. I never miss a workout other than when I'm out of town.

Discover Strength is the best! In the year I have been training at DS, I have reversed the process of sarcopenia and built several pounds of muscle. I was never advised by any health professional in my life (and I am in my 6th decade) about muscle loss as I aged. I thought my years of running marathons, cx skiing and biking was enough. But I have learned about resistance strength training from my trainers as they helped me become strong with better balance and endurance. Their practice is based on science, not fads. 30 minutes twice a week with amazing results. DS trainers are professional, fun, encouraging, and skilled. All of the trainers are great at really knowing my capabilities and making sure I'm getting the most out of each work out. They are all great to work with and knowledgeable which makes me have 100% trust in them. Scheduling is also very easy and everyone has always been very accommodating, very responsive, and always a great help.

This place is great! Two times a week, give it all you’ve got for 30 minutes. The trainers explain how and why with each lift and provide motivation as you progress. Wonderful people all around.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in getting stronger and who would benefit from first-class coaching along the way. No way I would see the results I have in 14 months if I tried to do it solo.

If you are pressed for time and really want to see results, DS is your answer. Greg among many others will make you work hard but have fun at the same time. DS is like the Cheers of fitness centers. Everyone knows your name and you are always happy when you are there ... but most importantly it works. I work out twice a week for 30 minutes each time and at the age of 51 am in the best shape of my life.
