I've been going to the WAC for ~4 years. I love the complimentary classes and the staff at the downtown location. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, it is such a pleasure to come to the gym. The facilities at the downtown location are good, but the suburb locations are even better. Regardless, the convenience of the location is great for getting a workout in before or after work.

Favorite WAC location! It wasn’t as close to my normal one but I loved coming here! This location is incredibly clean. They have great machines as well. I enjoyed their running track also. Thank you Wisconsin Athletic Club! You guys are great!

I certainly enjoy the WAC Downtown location and the convenience of free parking they provide to members! The equipment is well maintained and sanitized regularly. I am a senior man with some especial considerations when exercising. I have been working out with Corey Petta and is a very diligent, caring and knowledgeable trainer! While I’m still getting familiar with the gym, it has been a pleasurable experience!

I love the Wisconsin Athletic Club! I am a member and we’ve also brought them in to do classes for my work, and the customer service can’t be beat on either end. Lots of incentives, classes and perks for members so you’ll never be bored, very responsive and kind to work with. Special shout out to Frances and Emily at the downtown location, and Richard at the North Shore location! You all rock!

This is one of my favorite Downtown MKE gyms. It is very clean, the staff are friendly, personal trainers were incredibly helpful and welcoming (shout out to Frances), classes are great with helpful instructors (I enjoy Monday night yoga the best), and even though it is busy after work, I can still find equipment to use without having to wait for more than a few minutes.

This is the best gym you can find in Wisconsin! Its very clean and staff are professional and nice. I had a tour of the facility with Monique and she made the sign up process so smooth, and explained all the membership benefits. I also like my personal trainer, Corey. He is very knowledgeable about his job and so nice and friendly. I recommend this place to everyone who looks for a nice gym in Milwaukee.

This is the best gym I have ever belonged to. By far. It doesn’t smell at all, even the locker rooms smell clean. Staff is nice. Equipment is updated, functional, and clean. Locker rooms are spacious and well equipped. I can’t find a single complaint except that their hours are somewhat restrictive on weekends.

I think this gym does really well with the space it is given. I just wish it had a hot tub. The only other obnoxious thing to be aware of is paying for parking in the structure. If you can walk do. It can get very pricey with the parking structure at a dollar a day to park!

Everyone I have ever worked with her is very friendly, from the front desk to the trainer's. The floor isn't huge but they use the space better than clubs with twice the room. The classes are always popular and seem to be great group activities. The spin and yoga classes I've taken have been great and the instructors definitely know what they're doing. Also Hubie is the man!

Friendly staff with a decent variety of machines/equipment. Definitely gets crowded on weekdays around 5pm, so try to avoid that time slot if you don't like waiting for equipment. A smaller space than their other locations, but they do a nice job maximizing the space. Definitely ask for parking validation at the desk before you leave.

Awesome amenities! This location has a large selection of equipment to utilize for your workout. As well as an updated locker room with large sauna and steam room. During the times I go (between 2pm and 4pm) it is not crowded but even during peak hours you don't have to wait too long for a machine to become free.

Just Happy

You definitely get what you pay for at this gym. There's really no wait on free weights during peak hours. View is awesome. Steam room and sauna are great amenities after a gruesome work out or run. Staff is friendly and talkative.

Have started to fall in love with this place. My first personal training session was a wonderful experience. I also just love all of the options. This one may be smaller compared to some of the other locations but it has almost all that you can ask for.

The people are what make this location a 5. Ameliah Toporsh is the best. Its a busy place but she helped me through the dull winter and pushed me. She never shames but encourages you to try new work outs. She is professional, knowledgeable and flexible. I got sick and she rescheduled me and changed the planned workout when I wasn't up to it, gearing to my recovery. I also went to yoga which was well done. Worth the money.

Although the downtown WAC isn't my favorite WAC, it is still a great gym. The steam room, showers and locker rooms are clean, and the gym itself has good offerings. Cons: paying for parking, rush hour crowds, and a lot of people who don't put their weights away.

I've been going to this WAC regularly for one year. It is not as luxurious as the location near my house (though the recent renovation helped). However, the employees are much more personable. The front desk employees know many of the members' names. If there are three people behind the desk, they will stop folding towels to help check members in/out when there is a line (the same can't be said about all locations). The personal trainers are experienced and appear to be much busier than those in my home location. The facility is clean. Dan, the manager, is friendly.

What is lost in terms of space and amenities compared to other WAC facilities is more than made up for by the close knit community I've found at this gym. The group classes, available most early in the AM or in the evening just after rush hour, have become an essential part of daily routine.

Amazing downtown facility located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. It’s rare to find a gym nowadays that has a proper working steam room and a sauna. The WAC also offers great equipment for weightlifting and cardio.

I like the gym but needs to focus on cleanliness, particularly the locker rooms. Always soiled towels thrown about like a bratty teens bedroom. Common. For a.premium gym put some hampers in the locker rooms.

Awesome gym. But you will see too many old guys naked all the time. They seem to love walk naked. Staff is very friendly.

Great location! Downstairs area is awesome. Check out Al's core class. You'll have a fun time, feel a nice burn, and even incorporate some yoga!

The WAC is a premiere club in the area. The downtown location has a short indoor track that let's you see downtown from their sixth floor level. Gorgeous set up but gets crowded during peak times.
