Wonderful family-inclusive environment /facilities boasting a wide variety of interests. While known for their tennis program, the fitness center is equipped with any and all equipment and technology one could imagine. several classes are available including barre, Pilates, spin, cross-fit, yoga, aqua aerobics, pickle-ball, and more. Indoor/outdoor pools make this club unique as does the childcare facility. More, there are completely outfitted dressing rooms with a sauna, hot tub, steam room, and massage chairs. Go for a visit and join; you’ll be well-pleased.

Love this club. It has everything you would need and more. They do an amazing job at providing a nice, quality, high end experience from the time you enter to the time you leave. Classes are also included with the membership! So whether you want to workout with free weights or join a class, there are plenty of options available. Would recommend this to ANYONE looking for a quality club experience.

Convenient location. Good variety of machines available, but get really busy around 5pm. The classes (and trainers) are great but fill out quickly. Lockers are clean and spacious, with separate showers stalls (women's). Small pool, where it's really hard to get a line even when arriving at the opening (and people don't expect to share their line, so if a swim class is in progress, three lines available means literally THREE people can swim. Lol. I am laughing but it's really frustrating). I wish we could book the swim lines somehow. Clearly this whole facility has gotten too small for the amount of members. There is a small restaurant but we didn't try it. Fun fact: the TVs are on CNN in the mornings and always on Fox in the afternoons, depends on the crowd I guess!

Wonderful environment. LRAC is so much more than a gym. Everyone is friendly, the pool and splash pad are relaxing, and the Chill Room and on-site restaurant (with beer and wine selections) helps you unwind.

This place is the best i have been to. The staff are all very friendly, the facilities are clean and we can have Aqua Fit in the wintertime because the pool is heated. They even put up a warming tent for us.

This is best fitness club in the State, hands down. There is a reason they have been around for 30 plus years. They have top notch equipment, a multitude of classes to choose from, exceptional staff, and good people all around which creates a warm, healthy atmosphere. It's very easy to see why the LRAC is the best club in the state of Arkansas. I love spending part of my day there. Worth every penny. 💯

This is a great club! I enjoy working out while my son is in the Tennis Academy. It can get crowded at times, but never so crowded that you can't get in a good workout. The locker rooms are nice too. They have a hot tub, sauna, and steam room in the men's! They also have a very nice kids area that is safe and my son loves it!

Everything you could want in a gym for every type of workout. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool has lane ropes up and is great for early morning swims. Sauna and steam room are clean and HOT! Highly recommend LRAC! Frank and the team are doing a great job!

My girls are taking swimming classes there. This is our second month. Very patient people. All the teachers we had so far are very nice and patient. We will see how the kids will progress. Too soon tell. But we're very happy with them. We don't mind the 25mns drive just for the 2 30mns classes. They also have a WHOLE lot of equipment and other sports. You should really check it out. It's totally worth the price.

The Athletic Club is an awesome family atmosphere. Even after you work out you can chill and get some work done in the cafe. There's a free wight tier on the floor where the track is but the tier above it has free weights as well if you're not comfortable with the mirror bros. Big spacious and awesome. Worth. Every. Penny.

The LRAC is a very inclusive community with a wide variety of people. It doesn't feel like your typical "gym." I love that there are areas to rest, do school work, and socialize. This encourages members to stay a while and form relationships to build a community. In the short time I've attended, I've formed some great friendships with people to encourage me on my health journey. The facility is spotless and the machines are well maintained. The expansive selection of fitness classes makes it easy for me to find something to fit my needs and level of fitness. What I have been most impressed by is the class instructors. Even though they are teaching a group, they still get around to individuals (like me) who need help with proper form. (They purposely keep classes small, which helps maintain a high level of quality instruction and safety.) As someone who gets injured easily, this has been so helpful. The instructors make me want to keep coming back for more!

Very nice and lots of choices. When you have a child who's scared of the water and screams or acts terrified. I recommend not wasting your time and money. These teachers can't seem to handle it. It felt like they were blaming the child rather than looking into ways to help better the situation. When you're paying for private lessons they must put in a little more effort.

Staff are professional,pleasant and helpful. Environment is clean. Coaches are so caring and competent Whole atmosphere is inviting,motivating and draws us there. Some days,especially weekends,it's tempting to skip gym....but once in the gym,it just takes a couple of minutes to feel glad to be there. Many choices People who come to the club have good manners and are very friendly. This is the first gym where I see such a wide spectrum of age groups..toddlers to 80 plus citizens Free coffee etc etc. I planned to take individual membership...but my family was so impressed and curious what transformed me. They checked it out...transferred from other gyms to LRAC. It's a great opportunity for family bonding as well. Our coaches know our family members by our first names. Front desk staff always greet us with a happy smile and greet us on our way out...regularly. It's one of my best investments in personal / family life. Thank you.

Family Friendly, my kids love it here! The group exercise classes are wonderful and there are so many to choose from you are sure to find one (or several) that you love! We love the tennis courts and the pools too! The kid pool is great in the summer and the 25 meter is even covered and heated in the winter. Could not ask for a better, more well-rounded health and fitness club!

One of the best gyms in Little Rock, and has the biggest indoor tennis facility! The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. I got locked out of my locker at 6am one morning and they were very apologetic and were speedy about getting the locker unlocked. The tennis pros are fantastic.

As a member of more than 15 years I am still convinced that Athletic Club is the best fitness club for my needs. My schedule is hectic and being able to have group exercise classes available at anytime of the day is important for me. They constantly strive to introduce new innovative classes with interesting routines led by highly trained certified instructors. The atmosphere is fantastic, workers are friendly and helpful. The staff is amazing!!! Lifeguards, front desk, child care, class instructors, grill, tennis etc. I am always greeted with, at the very least, a smile. Shannon Huntsman went above and beyond helping us join and get settled in. He still greets me by name and checks in when we see each other at the club. We are so happy here and plan to be members for a long time!

The club does a great job keeping up with fitness/exercise trends. They do a great job keeping all equipment in good working order. They are quick to repair a broken machine, even if it's just a torn seat cushion or other pad on the machine.

I have been at this club for 18 months and it has been a wonderful experience. Growing in Spain and living in other countries (Germany and Italy) and other US cities like New York, I had the opportunity of enjoying excellent gyms. I can honestly say that Athletic Club has been the best so far. Place is clean, machines are new, tennis courts are in great condition, and all members of the staff are awesome. Crossfit coaches and members are like family. My children like to stay at the daycare or maze while my wife and I are working out. Always able to find go deals at the pro-shop.

I love the equipment choices in the various weight lifting areas. The swimming pools are always clean and refreshing. Great bathrooms. There are plenty of classes to chose from and the whole atmosphere is inviting for any exercise enthusiast. I would not hesitate to recommend the LRAC to anyone!

We love the Athletic Club! I love Marion’s hip hop class (check it out on LRAC Facebook page) and my husband started CrossFit a few years ago at LRAC and is hooked! The personalized instruction he received to learn about form and which muscles to engage for each exercise give me peace of mind that he will not injure himself. We love the pools and splash area for our young son and we love seeing familiar faces-friends he can play with! I have been going to the Athletic Club since birth and would not want it any other way for my own growing family.

Five years ago I began leading Group Exercises Classes for the Athletic Club system. I can honestly say leading these classes has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Why? It's because members of The Little Rock Athletic Clubs (LRAC, Racquet, NLRAC), are some of the finest people I have ever known. They are engaging, friendly, dedicated to the classes they attend, and - fortunately for me - very forgiving of in class instructor blunders! LRAC, LRRC, and NLRAC are a wonderful community of individuals focused on their health and well-being. I'm so glad to be a part of it.

I love spending my time here. I’m not an athlete or anything i just appreciate the clean facilities, the helpful people, the abundant amount of things the membership offers. I like to bring my 8yo son to the children’s pool and splash area. I spent countless hours this summer tanning and swimming at the pools. Couldn’t be happier. edit: December 2020. have been a member for over 18 months now, have lost over 80lbs swimming, playing basketball and using the machines. i have gotten to be friends with several of the staff which honestly says something for me as I'm generally a background/leave me alone type of patron. I've never been in better shape, both physically and mentally and any minor issue I have with the club is a misstep by an individual person and not the club as a whole. I plan to be a member for a very long time.

LRAC's staff is awesome from the trainers, greeters, maintenance, and administrators. It's a fun friendly place. Though the facilities have been there a while, they are very clean and are constantly evolving and upgraded to meet changing fitness demands. I love it!

I participated in the 25 Days for 25 Dollars promotion benefitting Habitat for Humanity. This gave me time to visit a wide variety of classes. There are so many classes I didn't have time to try them all. There’s no need to ever be bored with your workout. All the employees were friendly and helpful as were the participants in the classes I visited. I was pleased that everyone took the time to make sure I arrived in the right area of the club for my class and made sure I had the “equipment” I needed. The classes were fun and hard work. I loved it so much I joined!

I was never interested to exercise until my sister made me tag along & I bregrudgingly, went with her to your gym. In fact, I even dreaded the idea of going to one. But eversince that first time, I’ve been hooked.... though never did thought I was going to be. Little Rock Athletic Club was a complete surprise. Soon as we entered (my first time, as observed) were right away greeted by the affable hellos, faces & smiles at the reception desk. It’s that warm & happy feeling you instantly receive that you are most welcome & they are delighted that you are there. The gym, pool, tennis & its facilities are well equipped, clean & properly maintained. There’s even a good coffee bar that one can partake to increase its metabolism & to enhance energy to exercise. The staff & trainers are most friendly, pleasant, approachable & helpful. The members are also nice & amiable. Over all, it’s a most comfortable place to be in.

LRAC is not the cheapest in town but it is the best. I have been a member since the early to mid 90’s. Great place regardless of what age group you are in. Lots of classes for all ages. You can swim, lift weights, CrossFit, run, walk, play tennis indoor or outdoor, play racket ball, basketball, cycle class, get a personal trainer, have a massage, sit in the hot tub, sauna, or stream room. Lots of equipment so you hardly ever have to wait for anything. Great friendly staff and they are constantly cleaning everything so you have clean equipment all the time. There’s no excuses for not being able to be healthy. They offer childcare and they have a nice play area for the little kids to play and be supervised by staff while you workout. They have a nice Pro Shop with tennis gear to workout clothing and much more. If you are to tired to go home and cook after a workout then LRAC has you covered there as well. They offer some tasty food options at the grill. You can sit down and relax while they cook your meal. Even adult beverages are available as an option. There’s a lot to offer under one roof at LRAC. You will be spoiled. At least drop in and try it before you join a gym so you can see and feel the difference of a gym and a health club. There’s really no comparison.

LRAC is the perfect place to go for the whole family. They offer everything imaginable and are always willing to provide the latest “fad” classes. (which keeps the menu fresh and fun) Also, trainers are always available to answer questions and assist with equipment! There is no better place for a great, enjoyable workout!

Very good facility and professional staff. They provided initial assessment at the time of enrollment. Good workout equipment. I lost more lbs then what I aimed for for just making few changes in my workout by introducing resistance training (no trainer input). Variety of equipment available to introduce workout variation in your routine. I have not tried group exercises, which I can live without using them.

Good facility and good crowd, plenty of things to do. Best place to play tennis at since they have 9 indoor courts and no other club in Little Rock has that many indoor courts. Our whole family enjoys the Athletic Club.

Over the past 7 years I've been to many of the gyms in Little Rock. Little Rock athletic club is by far the best. It is fully equipped, always clean, and the staff is wonderful. Both my wife and myself are competitive powerlifters and Strongman athletes, we both need a couple pieces of specialty equipment to optimize our training. We asked for them and LRAC had them there for our use within a couple weeks. No where else in town will do things like that. Plus access to saunas and hot tubs are great for recovery. My kids love the child care activity areally and the pool, which makes it so much easier for hs to train on a regular basis.

OMG, where to start! Clean facilities, knowledgeable staff that cares about members needs, well maintained equipment, and pools that don't rely on chlorine is a start. Though the club is large it's easy to navigate and there's seldom a wait for equipment. The club delivers on the premium value expected.

Reasons I love this place: Excellent classes. Always challenging, never boring! Quickshot classes are the best. Love, love Banded and Beatboxing classes by Burke and LeeAnn Jolly. The best hip hop class by Colleen! Not to mention the amenities they provide such as pool, sauna, steam room, Grill... Staff is friendly and nice! You could literally spend your whole day there and not get bored. Love the sense of community there. I’ve been a member here for about 15 years now. To me it’s always been on top but the changes that LeeAnn and Burke have made in this place is absolutely amazing! I’ve always been on the search for the best place to workout, and I think this is it!! I’ve tried out so many different places but nothing compares to LRAC, not even close!

I've been a member of LRAC for over 25 years. I mostly play tennis there, but it is great for a variety of exercise classes, walking the track and grabbing a quick meal after tennis. The pro shop carries some great tennis and exercise clothes. The location is very convenient and fairly close to my house.

Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth the price? In my opinion, yes! More fitness classes than I've ever seen at a gym, and at a lot of different times. Equipment is up to date. Love the cardio area with the TVs on the walls. There are multiple different areas to work out in.

Clean, spacious machine/ equipment areas, a great variety of classes to choose from throughout the day, everyday. Staff is always positive and helpful. I re entry had a PT evaluation, which was done very professionally, not hurried, & I came away with a workout plan that I can do which is helping me get back the strength I need and is versatile. The PT even emaile me videos of the exercises along with my personalized workout plan.

Love spinning classes that use heartbeat and screen. Spivi? Would really encourage spin class schedule to state whether instructor will use it or do own instruction. Both types of classes are good but would let user know what to prepare for. I also like promotions club offed and games. Would encourage more of those. Also really like how willing staff is to work with me when my 3 college age kids are home from school. Customer service is +++++!! Pro shop also offers great selection of gear and clothes and really good cross section of all sports. Well done!! There may be clubs out there with cheaper dues but you get what you pay for. I came from one of those clubs. You had to wait in line to use equipment. Equipment would be down for long time too. LRAC truly is a club of choice!

So I came to visit my long distance sweet heart for a few weeks and was looking for a some pick up games of tennis. I stopped by The Racquet Club to see if I could find a pick up game. The super friendly and helpful receptionist told me I could try to find someone to hit with even though I wasn't a member. Unfortunately, I did not find anyone to hit with, but ran into a tennis pro who directed me to the The Little Rock Athletic Club. I headed over and was literally set up with someone the next day. Not just anyone, but someone in management. I felt truly honored and special. So I was fortunate to have a trial membership during my stay and tried out pretty much all of the facilities and have been sold. LRAC is truly a great place to work out, play Tennis, Basketball, Spin, practice Yoga, and to perfect your Barre skills. The ambiance, energy and their spectacular staff from all the departments work as a team to make the club so attractive and warm. Management is always around, involved and accessible. If you want to come to a well managed facility with a family feel, this is the place to go. The majority of the staff some how remembers your name and treats you like a friend or family. When I relocate to Little Rock, I will be definitely joining this club. Thanks to all the team of LRAC!

As a relatively new member I find there are many classes, equipment choices, pool and other activities in order to train and participate toward leading a more healthy lifestyle. I am also an employee (working with Seniors) and enjoy being in classes with other instructors to broaden my opportunities to expand my lifestyle choices with Zumba, Nia to Yoga and enjoying the inside walking track as well. It's a family oriented club for both young and older members and all those in between. Play On!!!!!

My family and I have considered the LRAC our second home for the last 25 years. We've enjoyed tennis, racquetball, swimming, basketball, classes, weight areas, exercise machines, sauna/whirlpool area...The services provided by physical therapy/massage are excellent. Our kids were raised enjoying the nursery, Down N Under, Parents Night Outs. Good restaurant for fast, casual dining and now they've launched a healthy take out fare options. I've spent my fair share at the pro shop and can recommend the tennis pros for lessons for level of player. You can tell professionals run the club due to cleanliness and attention to detail. Many of the employees have been there for as long as we have. I do believe I'm in contention for member most frequently visiting the LRAC. We signed up for the swimming lessons in LRAC for my 6 year old son, we found instructors are very devoted and involved, they are so enthusiastic and encouraging, It is amazing to see him learning the technique so quick and develop passion for the sport. This is a great gym with offerings for every need, level & sport. Razorback CrossFit is a part of LRAC and a top notch program with well trained staff, great support, a track and a pool. Not to mention towels and air conditioning!

The cleanliness, friendliness of the front desk staff and the tennis desk staff are always appreciated! (Love the flowers in the rest rooms as well.) My grandsons and I enjoy the food in the grill the few times we have eaten there. The biggest advantage for us has been the interest, expertise and willingness to go the extra mile which are demonstrated both by Linda Sneed, who trains one of my grandsons (he has won multiple tennis trophies this season), and Nancy Debin, who has trained me since I moved to Little Rock in 2011. She met with my doctor and has focused on rehabing a full shoulder replacement such that even my surgeon is amazed at the degree of mobility and range of motion that she has helped me to achieve. She will be greatly missed!!

For me, the LRAC is a home away from home. The staff are more like good friends and family. The spirit of accommodation within the staff is pervasive, from Derek and Sophia at the front desk to Sammy ,Mike ,and Rick in the maintenance department. Sandwiched in between are the two indispensable book ends, Susan and Robyn; and of course Justin the good shepherd of all the above. My only complaint is that any equipment that breaks or insinuates that it might break is repaired before I can cobble together a creative indictment of the Club, which of course, is frustrating to my baser nature .Frank, what ever you are doing, keep doing it!
