Joining Horizon Personal Training in Newington was one of the best decisions I ever made. Not only do I look forward to the small group training every day - I also see amazing results! It’s amazing how my energy levels have also increased. The atmosphere is safe and comfortable , and I have made many new friendships. We work hard in the gym, but the trainers also plan fun events such as a hikes. Heather, Dan, and Brittany are amazing role models and motivate me to be my very best. I wish I could give Horizon six stars!

I am really grateful I found Horizon. I have a busy work schedule and really needed to find the most efficient way to exercise - and their classes/training sessions are worth every minute - and are thankfully offered at convenient times. Dan and Heather strike that perfect balance of being kind and supportive, but also challenge me to do more than I thought I could do - and make sure I do it well. I personally feel like I have gotten stronger and results faster in just several weeks than I would have on my own by a long shot - I feel like they really know their stuff, and they get to know their clients' strengths and weaknesses really well. Also, their semi-private classes are really enjoyable with a good atmosphere and (thankfully) people at various fitness levels - not intimidating - but also not easy! I highly recommend them!

I started strength training to improve my balance. Heather is my personal trainer. She started me with exercises to improve the strength of my core muscles. When I showed core strength, Heather advanced me to do various exercises for upper body and lower body. After each 30 minute exercise routine, she stretches me, so I do not have any soreness. She stays with me as I do the exercises. She demonstrates each exercise to ensure I do it safely and correctly.Heather inquires about how the previous session went and where did I feel the muscle stretch. Heather asks questions about my nutritional intake to ensure I am getting enough protein while I am building muscle. Heather is very knowledgeable and she answers all my questions. I am very glad that I started strength training and that Heather is my personal trainer. I go twice a week. It is very easy to make your own schedule on line. Ann Andrews

Signing up with Horizon is one of the best things I have ever done! Dan my trainer is very knowledgeable, makes the sessions enjoyable, and makes me want to keep going back. But most of all I already feel so much better since starting. I’ve been with other trainers in the past and wish I had known about Horizon first! Sign up you won’t regret it!

Horizon PT is the best. The group participants have become my friends. Excercises are modified based on your ability and no one ever makes you feel that your limits are negatively affecting the group. From the trainers to the participants everyone makes you feel welcome and gives you a great support system. I've safely lost 30 pounds since I started and I feel that without Horizon I would not have reached this goal.

Training at Horizon has been one of the best decisions I've made. I played team sports in HS and college but had a hard time finding something that worked for me since then. The group classes are an excellent workout and the atmosphere is fun and encouraging. The small class sizes mean the trainers get to know you and your needs - that attention has helped me see results faster than I thought I would.

Just had my first personal training session with Heather and I loved it! She takes you through a whole body functional assessment so that you can work on your fitness goals safely and effectively. She gave me physical homework assignments for the week so that I can continue my progress at home. I am looking forward to a whole new outlook on Fitness through Horizon!

Joining Horizon Personal Training in Newington has been a great decision! The facilities are clean, the classes are challenging and the personal attention can't be matched. I requested from the trainer to be tough on me and to give me the most difficult workouts. I asked him to be pretty tough with me. Of course, you could request whatever style you want from the trainer but I wanted someone who would be tough on me. My trainer followed through and gave me great workouts. He also taught me some very interesting exercises that I never knew about. He also showed me how to stretch forward and touch my toes!! I would highly recommend this gym . Staff is very nice and easy to work with. All ages are welcome

Joining Horizon Personal Training in Newington has been the best decision for me. The facility is very clean and they are always bring in new things to try. I was looking for a place that would pay attention to my goals and help push me and that is definiely what I got. The staff is very helpful and go above and beyond. I love that I am not pressured into buying personal training session but if I do they have plans that fit my budget. I love this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone

This gym is very special and it stands out because of its COMMUNITY. At Horizon everyone is friendly and supportive of one another. I believe the camaraderie among our members is a tribute to the way the Dan & Heather run the Newington location. They are top notch experts who are knowledgeable and they sincerely care about each and every one of us! I have been on a lifetime struggle with my weight. Different gyms, different diets, different WW programs… but I’ve never belonged to a place that is as focused on my nutrition, as it is on my exercise! What makes it better, is the personal attention each of them gives me, and the other members. They know our struggles and work with us individually to overcome them. They have shown me a path to wellness that fits into my very busy life – and have provided the flexibility my lifestyle demands. They have given me not just tools to be healthier, but they make sure I’m using the tools correctly and most importantly CONSISTENTLY. I don’t believe there are more committed trainers; and the community they have created is what makes coming back again and again easy. It’s a judgement free environment where I’m surrounded by success stories. Members who have lost 40, 100, 80, 25 pounds are working out with me, and their success keeps me motivated and committed to the program because I’m surrounded by results. Whether you are looking to compete, lose weight or just be healthier - Horizon Personal Training Center provides personal one on one training and small group training. But the true measure of any gym is in the proof; and at Horizon the focus is on RESULTS! I already have them and I know Heather & Dan are as committed as I am to a healthier me.

This place is great! Brittany, Heather, and Dan are all awesome. They are very accommodating and they push you, but don’t kill you. They all plan workouts differently in their own way. You will get a great workout in and see results, but also have fun! They also plan a bunch of fun activities/events inside and outside of the gym for us which is cool! Would definitely recommend

If you want great results from a caring team this is the place to go! One on one sessions or semi-private group training will help you reach your goals no matter what they might be. The staff is excellent, and takes the time to get to know you and find out what you want to accomplish. They are dedicated to guiding you on the path to success. I highly recommend Horizon!

I was an avid runner for many years, even completed 6 half marathons, before life got in the way. Upon returning to running, I was having several problems and was having no luck making positive progress on my own. I gave in and went to see Dan at Horizon. He listened to my concerns and goals. He developed a plan of attack and provided a nutrition plan. He was able to get me back on track and correct the problems I was having. Within the first month I went from not being able to complete 2 miles to completing 4-5 enjoyable miles. I am looking forward to my continued journey with Dan and his crew at the Newington location.

Our initial meeting with Dan was promising. He was willing to work with my teenage son who has just recently become interested in health and fitness and train him specifically for the sports he plays.
