Large space with plenty of equipment. Exercise space and locker rooms are clean. My only complaint is the music is played so loud that I have to turn up the volume of my headphones in order to listen to my own music or podcasts.

I absolutely love this place, I’ve been a long time member of planet fitness. This location by far is one of the best ones. It is very huge and has enough machines so you rarely ever have to wait to use anything. The staff are very nice and friendly and were willing to work with my wife and I as we moved here from Utah. We love the locals that workout here as well. Grand Rapids is amazing! One thing I would love to see is less treadmills haha but other than that it is all super open and can be chilly sometimes inside the place. I haven’t used any of the black card member stuff yet because I just haven’t gotten around to it. The massage beds are always a nice thing to use after working out. One thing I’ll also like to add is how diligent the staff is on making sure everything is kept clean and that broken machines are not left being broken for too long. That really makes all the difference because there is nothing worse than broken machines staying broken for a very long time. I’m grateful for the staff and if you’re unsure of what gym you should go to. You should definitely pick this place to workout at.

Staff is always friendly and will greet you on the way in and out. Everything is always clean and the amenities that come with the black card membership are great! You'll pay more for a tanning membership somewhere else than you do to get so much more here at PF. I recommend! This location also has great locker rooms with plenty of space.

Planet fitness takes social distancing seriously. Everyone is required to wear a mask and there ar multiple cleaning stations set up with paper towels and spray bottles.

Lots of equipment and body enhancement services. Ample cleaning supplies available for members but there are certain members that don't clean the equipment after using it line they are supposed to and no ever polices it which is my only complaint. If it weren't for that it would be 5 star.

honestly just thought this place was a meme but it's a fantastic gym. No free barbells :/ but check this 1. Two dedicated ab zones 2. All equipment clean organized & functional 3. 4 Smith squat racks 5. About a billion cardio machines and 6. Massive facility (read: doesn't feel crowded) 7. $10/month

The supervisorial, management and staff of this gym should be proud of themselves, what a great place this is!!!! The place is amazingly clean, staff are top notch, friendly and helpful and the equipment is well maintained and clean. Don't listen to online rumors about planet fitness being a bad gym, go in and see it for yourself like I did, glad I didn't listen to rumors. Fyi the 3rd shift night staff are the best hands down!

Best PF I've been to. Nice spacious layout. A lot of equipment. Seems to be kept up with cleaning and maintenance. I've been traveling for work for awhile now and visiting many facilities and this is still one of my favorites.

I had a bad experience a year or so ago when I tried to return to the gym (not at the fault of the staff, just a creepy dude). I pulled the trigger and returned to PF after seeing reports on how well they were handling covid requirements. Not a single person without mask, proper distancing, clearly marked cleaning stations and at all times, I saw someone walking around spraying down equipment with a cleaning cart. I'm incredibly impressed and with the added required distance, no one had the opportunity to even approach me. It was bliss!

This really used to be a good PF location. Staff are great and very clean. Gave 3 stars as dress code is no longer enforced. Lots of muscle shirts, etc. Big part of why I choose PF was dress code. Seriously thinking of switching since this location is becoming just like any other gym. Might as well go to a less crowded gym if dress code doesn't matter.

My brother took me with him, my first time at a gym in a while, and it was a smooth, easy experience. The machines are marked for 'social fitnessing' and cleaning stations are well placed, so you can clean a machine before and after use easily. Machines are easy to use, and have instructions printed on most of them.

One of the things I like about this gym is how often the staff are out refilling the cleaning stations, mopping the floor, and just generally keeping the place clean. The staff have consistently been very nice and welcoming as well. It can get somewhat crowded during peak times, and I'm not excited to experience how bad it will be after New Year's, but overall there's typically sufficient weights, benches, and machines to complete my workout. I do wish there were higher weight dumbbells and free weight racks for squat and bench press, but I know it's most likely a liability issue and for $10 it's kind of hard to complain. Definitely a great starter gym to get back into weightlifting and losing weight.

I joined PF a few weeks ago and have been to a couple locations. I like that the membership is cheap and I can get in my work out without breaking the bank. The facility is always clean and the staff friendly. It's nice that they have tanning and massage too. The only downfall in my opinion is that they have pizza nights and bagels and coffee days. And I can't forget the tootsie rolls. I get that they want to thank their patrons but I would think that most people are going there to get in shape and be healthy...and pizza isn't a very good option for most people. Especially if you are diabetic. Just my opinion but I'd think they could thank their patrons with healthier options. And the tootsie rolls need to go. If someone has low sugar they might want to consider orange juice instead of tootsie rolls. Other than that it's decent for the price.

The staff do a great job creating a clean and friendly environment. I was nervous about returning to the gym again due to Covid but I was pleasantly surprised that everyone was keeping their masks on and being diligent about wiping everything down.

I've had an awesome experience so far at this planet fitness. It's cheap, but still has a lot of high quality equipment. Very large building with tons of equipment, so easy to get to things even when it has been busy. Nice to have showers so I can work out before heading to work in the morning.

Love coming here. Wasnt sure if I would enjoy the no gymitation rules but found it hardly made a difference to my workout. The gym is always very clean and the staff is super friendly. There are always enough machines for everyone even during busy hours. The facilities are great, the lockers are convenient along with the showers. They have comfortable massage chairs,hydromassage lounges, tanning beds, and light therapy machines for black card members to use whenever.

Larger than other planet fitness locations ive been to. Staff have been doing a good job at enforcing mask wearing and other health + safety precautions! Seeing them tell people to put their mask over their nose makes me feel safer!

I’ve been to different locations, but this one is by far my favorite. I see the staff regularly do rounds to make sure the facility is clean, they’re always friendly when I check in and have the occasional question, and they aren’t afraid to use the “lunk alarm”. I tend to go in the evenings, and I’m generally not bothered by the other patrons. For how cheap the membership is, I’m impressed; feels like it should be more expensive.

The staff is always nice and the place is super clean. I signed up really just for the tanning (4 levels all included in your $20 membership with no upgrade fees) but I do workout now because it's so welcoming and really is judgment free. I'm not a fitness expert, nor a health enthusiast, but i can tell you this is the perfect gym for no intimidation or for those beginning on their fitness journey. I really love it here.

The equipment is top notch. The staff is ok need more people that understand fitness. Very clean a place you can go to get away from everyone. Not a good place to meet people. Tanning beds are awesome, the massage chairs and hydro beds are on point. Exactly what they say they are.

Love this gym I really do. But if your a first timer I suggest the Plainfield one because even judgement free, this one is very intimidating because of the size and nothing is easily found. If you are used to gyms and different layouts, definitely this one because you dont have to wait for machines.

I travel a lot, first time i come to this gym and i loved it. I worked out at late hours(1am), but the following day it was packed (7pm). There were enough machines for everyone. I put 4 stars because there are only 2 urinals, and 2 toilets, which doesn't really matter, but I saw 4 people waiting for toilet, and 2 waiting for urinals at the time the gym was packed. Overall; 5 stars on cleanness, 4 stars on equipment, and 4 stars on staff.

I like this gym a lot, lots of equipment for cardio . Only negative is some of the rude staff members I have encountered multiple times over the last three years I have been there. I am not sure if they are told not to smile to people as they enter because it is rare that anyone even acknowledges me. The gym is clean and I would recommend to anyone looking for a planet fitness.

Been going almost every day for 8 months. I like it much more than the other gyms I've been to in the area. The equipment is great, and the massage and tanning beds are awesome for the price. I plan to keep going here indefinitely.

Good cheap gym. Open 24hrs. If you dont have kids to worry about and work odd hours this gym is for you. If you have kids you need to find a sitter as they dont have any sort of child supervision area. Machines were recently replaced. If people or complicated machines intimidate you this is the place to go. Staff are always friendly and helpfull (even at 1am)

Everyone is super friendly and willing to help, great place for beginners and pros, black card gets you a lot of amenities, but you're not limited with much with just the classic membership. Worth checking out

They have several options in machines so you can work out any portion of your body that you want to. Since treadmills and ellipticals are so popular, they have many of them. There is a large ceiling fan for keeping the air cool. Membership is extremely affordably, and you can bring a guest with certain levels. I have never done it, but they do offer coaches if you like. There is hydromassage. The change room has lockers and nice showers.

I was introduced to Fitness an actual gym, therefore the whole premise of fitness centers is still formed me, however Planet Fitness is very well-stocked very clean, but my main problem is there's no feeling of corroborate no feeling of belonging no feeling of support, perhaps I'm just too old?

I can't understand why other people are giving this place poor reviews. It's great for what it is. It's a fantastic deal for 10 or 20 bucks a month. Plenty of cardio, weights, tanning, clean locker rooms. What's the problem? Oh, you don't agree with the contract? Try READING it before you sign. The terms are not bad, and you're paying ten bucks a month; what do you want? No child care or pool? Again, you're paying TEN BUCKS A MONTH. You want fancy, head over to the newer Ys, but I'm pretty happy with PF.

If you are hesitant about getting a Planet Fitness membership but are going to primarily coming to this location then I wouldn't be worried. Since this gym is so large it really doesn't matter when you come, there will most likely be a machine in the circuit that you are working. Besides not having a very good class workout schedule, you get what you pay for.

I've been a member here for a little while, and I have enjoyed it. I go early in the morning before work and there is always equipment to use and not too many people. I have been thinking about upgrading my membership within the near future. The 28th street location has been great.

I had posted some pics or a dirty and tired business a week or so ago. Aparently management took notice and prompt changes were made. Equipment and lockers have been repaired, the puddle of water has been contained and the trash bins are regularly emptied. Makes me feel better and healthier while im there. Keep it up guys.

Facility is nice but often crowded. Staff is helpful overall. Beware that the membership fee is charged in February regardless of when you sign up, so that fee you payed up front doesn't actually cover you for a year.

I like this place is very clean, has lots of machines and the staff is pretty great, however they don't offer child care services which would be a great add on, other smaller gyms offer the child care so I hope it's in the future of you guys to add a little room with two people to take care of babies/kids I would even pay a low price for the service.

I have enjoyed going to this location over the last four years. I am in no means in shape but try to get some kind of a work out. While I was lifting weights today, I noticed some other young woman possibly video taping me as I paced back and forth between lifting which is what I always do. I usually don’t care but felt slightly violated as though she were posting it on social media as some kind of joke. I was about to mention this to the staff but figured it wouldn’t matter.

Biggest planet fitness I've been to. Been to ones out in Florida and California and they are all quarter to half the size of this one. Best time to go is anytime that's not 4-6pm busiest hours.

Huge thanks to Drew for being extremely helpful, kind and polite! Had an incident with my Uncle accidentally signing up at this location when he meant to select our home gym that is an hour away. Drew quickly made a call to our home gym for us and had his account transferred over for us! Thanks for fixing this mistake on our part so quickly. Amazing customer service!

Holland, MI is the 5th PF I have worked out in. The long shoebox space makes for an odd configuration of equipment. This location is pretty clean, it was probably cleaner before the pandemic labor crunch. Parking lot is in desperate need of resurfacing.
