Personal Level Fitness is much more than a personal trainer. It's a team of people, and each one has their own unique way of helping guide, teach, and encourage you. With every tool you can think of and many you can't. They have more ways to help you live a healthier and better life than any gym or facility I have ever seen before. In less than 6 months of coming to Personal Level Fitness I have made far more progress on my health than I had the previous 2 years trying different gyms, programs and other trainers. In my experience there is no equal to Personal Level Fitness.

Personal Level Fitness is awesome! This was the best decision I've ever made for my health. I was specifically looking for private personal training - not group classes, and this place was exactly what I had in mind. You get 100% attention and feedback during your session so you can maximize every rep. They also care about your mental health as well as nutrition and exercise. I originally signed on for a 3 month commitment and now it's been 8 months. I can't believe how much stronger I've gotten and I genuinely look forward to my gym days!

Personal Level Fitness is a great place to train. Originally, I had only planned on being a client for a few months. It’s been over a year and a half and i’m still with them. The environment is unique. Every client during an appointment trains one on one in their own private room. This was exactly what I was looking for. I’m not a fan of group classes. All of the trainers are highly experienced and welcoming. It’s expensive to be a client here but well worth it if you do what the trainers say. I’ve seen amazing results thanks to Personal Level Fitness.

After working out with Personal Level Fitness for just 3 months about 11 years ago, I turned to them again last March to help me continue, and maintain, weight loss. I have never been an "active" person. I'd prefer to sit on the couch and read. But I really truly love it here. Alex does a phenomenal job with hiring trainers. Everyone is so knowledgeable and encouraging - I leave each session knowing that I did the right thing for my body and mind. I'm a super self-conscious person when it comes to the ability for my body to do anything and be coordinated - I thought I would hate the idea of working out with different trainers on different days - more people to be self conscious around! But, it's wonderful. Each trainer has their unique personality and a slightly different way of communicating and encouraging. It's very refreshing. And the model allows for PLF to be really flexible with scheduling. It's a $$ investment - but if you have the funds, just do it. Just do what the trainers say and you will see results toward whatever goals you have.

Personal Level Fitness (PLF) is everything you think and want personal training to be. I started with the goal to get healthy and focus on taking better care of myself. The trainers have been encouraging and over the last year have helped me adjust my goals to what I need and what works best with what is going on in my life to make sure I stay the track, accomplish my goals and never give up. The 45 minute one on one sessions are great for my development - I have learned I am much stronger than I ever gave myself credit for. I always receive a “keep it up” when I come in for a quick self-directed cardio session. The bi-monthly assessments have helped me track my progress and understand my body. I would highly recommend PLF to anyone looking to boost their fitness routine.

I have been training at PLF a little over 1 year. In 2021, I went through 6 months of clinicals (OTD student) and did virtual workouts most of that time. I have never had a consistent schedule the entire time I've been a member, and the staff at PLF are so incredibly flexible and easy to work with. They have accommodated me endlessly, coached me, and pushed me through some really hard times. There were days I wanted to quit or didn't feel like showing up, but I did anyway- and I'm so glad I did! This place is different than all other gyms I've been to- they don't give in to diet culture and make individualized fitness plans to fit you and your goals- it doesn't have to be weight loss. Give this place a try if you truly want to take charge of your life and health.

I joined Personal Level Fitness in August 2017. This is the first time I have ever done any type of weight training (I am 56 years old) and wanted to get into shape and become stronger. Alex and Bernie along with the entire team are welcoming, professional and very helpful. I have a few minor health issues and they are able to customize my workout so I can achieve my goals. I workout 2x per week and enjoy my 45 minutes with the trainer. I am stronger, leaner, and feel so much better! In addition to the workout they also help with nutrition! I really enjoy all aspects of my workout at Personal Level Fitness!!!

I love Personal Level Fitness! I DO NOT enjoy working out as a rule, but the personal attention and guidance I get while working with all the trainers has been a game changer for me. They take into account my specific goals and desires. I have fun every time I go in for a session—it feels like spending time with family, without the guilt and judgement, ha ha!

UPDATE: 5 Months later, I am still working out three times a week. I feel so much better, I am down 16 inches overall. My workouts are strong, my balance has gotten so much better. In these tough times, it is nice to go workout in a studio that is concerned about the trainers really care about helping you get the most out of your workouts. Typically a different trainer each session. I look forward to my workouts! Check them out - you are worth it!
After years of being very sedentary I knew l needed to make a change. Being in my early 60’s I realized my balance was off. Last thing l wanted to do was take a fall or hurt myself.
I started at Personal Level Fitness in February 2020. During the stay at home Covid period they offered online workouts via video sessions!
I really could tell things were changing for me - working on balance and just plain moving was a goal I met. Once we were back in the studio. My workouts changed - new routines and heavier weights - l noticed little things - muscles in my arms - a firmer mid-section. Lower Blood Pressure! The weight is starting to come off with nutrition guidance too helps me realize l am on the right track.
The sessions are great and not boring - you work with all the trainers too! Not one person doing the same routine. All the trainers are professional and personal too!
Looking to make a change - I recommend checking out the facility - you wont be disappointed!

Having previously worked with PLF in the gym years ago, I came back to them when they started offering training sessions over Zoom during Safer At Home guidelines. I received a free consultation and home gym set up session. The staff are always positive and friendly but push you to get the most out of your workouts. They do a great job of explaining and demonstrating exercises even though we are not in the gym together. I have lost several pounds and clearly gained muscle. I look forward to my workouts with their support and encouragement!

I have been a client of Personal Level Fitness since the beginning of May. My two goals were to lose weight and to gain stamina. At this point I have lost 36 pounds and have decreased my resting heart rate and my heart rate with exertion. The center has a staff of 6 trainers who have their own individual variation of exercises plus a three week rotation of increased or decreased weight and/or increased or decreased repetitions. Therefore, my body is always challenged differently at each session. Nutrition is not an afterthought, and the trainers will check food logs daily and make suggestions of differing foods and recipes. The staff was quick to learn my name, my interests and my weekly and long term goals. The also make it a point to introduce clients to each other. I feel more like a member of a family than a member of a gym. Each of the three work out areas is private so I don't feel like I need to compete or be embarrassed by what I can and can't do. The trainers pushed me to reach my goals but also provided lots of encouragement along the way. Working out at Personal Level Fitness is not inexpensive. It is, on the other hand, a great deal since, with so much personal attention, I have been able to achieve both my weekly and long terms goals.

Our daughter was a member at Personal Fitness during her time at OSU. We cant say enough great things about her experience there. The owners are extrodinarily caring, professional and well educated on all aspects of fitness and nutrition. Her trainers had advanced certification in several fitness modalities, patient when necessary; however, certaily motivating in their work. Visits to Personal Level were amongst her very favorite things to do while at school and as we talk about new fitness centers in her new location, we both know how difficult it will be to have the same experience. Joining Personal Level Fitness was the BEST investment I made in myself. I just completed my 7th assessment ( done ever 6 weeks) and I've lost 50 lbs and better yet over 38 TOTAL inches ( over 19 inches in my chest, waist, hips). That's over 3 feet total. In 10 months , I've only missed 1 week. I was traveling and they gave me a travel workout - so I really had no excuse.....
The trainers are great ,they keep me on track with my nutrition and make me accountable. It is all about accountability. They remind me it's not a diet but healthy choices. They have helped me realize this is a journey and life style change and not a quick fix.

When I first heard about Personal Level Fitness I could tell it was what I needed to get active. I would have an appointment and someone would be waiting on me. I have been a client at PLF for almost a year. I find all of the employees to be professional, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and sincere. They are always welcoming and encouraging. While some people may prefer working with the same trainer, I find I enjoy the rotation. Each trainer has his/her own expertise and training style, which prevents stagnation and complacency when training. They are always ready to share their knowledge and seem genuinely concerned and interested in not only your fitness goals, but also your well being. As a client, you come to realize that the question, "what's for dinner," has taken on new meaning. It's not meager small-talk at PLF; it's actually the staff ensuring that your fitness experience is holistic and doesn't end when you leave the training room or the cardio lineup. As for drawbacks, the primary ones are that the cardio space is limited and the equipment could be updated. However, I sort of consider this area a bonus and the equipment in the training rooms (which are spacious) is all top-notch. The final drawback for me is expense, but they are very open about their pricing plans and, really, good things cost money (plus I don't have a lot to compare it to). Despite those, I still give them 5 stars. Overall, I highly recommend PLF for anyone of any fitness level who wants an experience to grow and learn with the help of a quality staff and environment.

I have worked with trainers at many different facilities over the years. I've stuck with Personal Level Fitness now for 10 years. The owners, Alex and Bernie, do an excellent job selecting trainers. Wherever I have been, it is the nature of the business that trainers come and go. What is different here is how well "trained" the trainers are! No matter who the trainer is (and you can select a specific one), I get the same quality workout. My progress is tracked and the person I am working with knows what I did the last time and whatever conditions are particular to me - like a rotator cuff injury. I personally like the variety of trainers. I get a good workout each time with particular attention to my form and my diet. You can get a personalized nutrition assessment and a bi-monthly fitness assessment to track your progress!

I have used the training studios at Personal Level Fitness for several years. The staff is very qualified, and always kind. I have several physical impairments and they are always alert to these and provide customized work out guidance. I am very comfortable here, and would not be comfortable in a large public gym. The most recent addition of the Styku provides 3 D scans that indicate opportunities for improvement in your overall fitness and training plans. This takes your fitness planning and goals to a whole other level. The data is used to customize your fitness and nutrition plan.I would certainly recommend this training studio to everyone who values a personal environment.

It is a very friendly place with a fresh bouquet of flowers greeting you and a welcoming hello from everyone working there. Staffs are excellent, pushing you just enough so that you can improve your overall fitness. Rather than working with one individual trainer, you work with everyone in the team of six or severn, which allows you to experience different styles of training. And, you train in a one room in an array of adjacent rooms, which gives privacy without being closed in. It also comes with regular fitness assessment so that you can adjust your training regimen and/or eating habits. You occasionally get a friendly card from staffs, which is a sweet addition to a general atmosphere of being part of a family..

Before COVID hit, I felt (and was reasonably fit), I spent a lot of time outdoors and my eating habits were good (rarely ate gluten, very little red meat, almost no (added) sugar...) then, when I moved to working at home and drastically changing our family routine, my habits shifted, I gained 40 lbs in about 7 months and also became more sedentary (and you know how that spiral goes!) Enter Personal Level Fitness (PLF); I knew I wanted help to get back on track and I also wanted to be as safe as possible re: COVID, so PLF was the perfect solution. As soon as I spoke to Alex on the phone I was sold. I could tell she understood what I needed, she listened (she's a great listener), she didn't over-promise and I knew by her forthrightness and honesty that PLF would be a good fit...From the time I did my first fitness assessment, through my work with all the members of her team--Thank you, Megan, John, Carlos, Shay-lon and Brittany! You are all great motivators; you are all kind and friendly; you all know your stuff and you each bring your particular talents to the workouts--I have felt inspired and supported...I now feel like I am back on track and re-enthused about working out, thanks to Alex, Bernie and the PLF trainers. I love everything about PLF with the exception of the cardio studio, and that’s more personal preference. The moment you walk in you are greeted by an upbeat personal trainer who is ready to get your workout started. You move, sweat, and maybe even groan a little bit during your workout with PLF trainers. They start you where you are comfortable, but that’s it. From there, they continually challenge you to set goals and improve your performance. And whereas other trainers might push a little too much, PLF trainers take the time to ask you how your body is feeling each day so that if necessary they can modify or take it easy so you are still getting the workout you want while giving your body the recovery needs. Now, the reason I don’t like the cardio room is because I like to disappear in the sea of treadmills so the focus isn’t on me. At PLF, your cardio time is your own but it’s a limited space and a bit of a tight squeeze.

PLF has been instrumental in my journey to return to fitness! Balancing work and family left little time for me. Alex and PLF got that and set up early morning workout options (5:15am!!) so I can get up and get my workout in before my family gets out of bed!
The trainers are fun and friendly, offering different training styles and options so the workouts are never boring. I have some injury restrictions and they worked with me to come up with ways to get the same results without any pain. The trainers also hold me accountable for my eating habits - checking my food journal at every workout. This makes me think twice before I put something in my mouth!

I have been coming to Personal Level Fitness for 10 years and now cannot imagine my routine without it! I've stuck with the PLF fitness regimen longer than any other program I've ever tried. My body fat percentage has decreased by 13 percent and my lean muscle mass has increased. Cardiovascular health improvements are also obvious not only in a better resting heart rate (a drop from 68 bpm to 61 bpm), but are also evident in my daily routine at home--for example, going up and down stairs, carrying a heavy load and not even breathing hard! I have had a 38 percent improvement in my upper body strength and it now ranks well above average. And last, but not least, I have lost 10 inches in my overall body measurements--woo hoo!
