The staff have been consistently friendly and eager to help, making the environment very welcoming for a gymnophobic nerd like me. The place is bright and very clean, and it's well laid out with plenty of equipment and plenty of space. I like it!

I just joined Planet Fitness a couple of weeks ago. So far so good. I like the atmosphere and there are a lot of machines. It's been crowded the times I went and I didn't have to wait to use a machine at all. I'm glad I joined. I originally signed up to go for the winter months but I may stay on longer than that. Can't lose!!!

After visiting a Planet Fitness in Atlanta GA ( a horrible experience to say the least ) I just have to say how much more I appreciate My home gym here in Columbia and Mgr. David, Asst. Planet Fitness is a national brand. You should know what you're getting. The lifting equipment is lacking, but again, you should know this with it being Planet Fitness. I am able to get a good variety of workouts in at the gym and it's always very clean, which I greatly appreciate. The price of Planet Fitness is its biggest selling point and it does that well. All in all, you can get in a really good workout for really cheap, just stick with it!

It’s great but I wish there was more benches/squat racks. About half if not the majority of people in the gym are there for the weights and strength training but this gym is 90% treadmills.

The planet fitness i go to ( 421 bush river road SC) is probably the best i have been. Mr. David is soo good, i love the way he talks to customers and the warmth he has when sees someone check in is just an awesome feeling. Not only him but the rest of his team is also very happy and cheering always. Good job guys

Seems well maintained and staff appears nice but is NOT wearing masks to protect others and keep germs to themselves, glad this location is not my home gym. Garner's ferry staff has no problem masking up in a pandemic and I appreciate them more for respecting me and my health so I prefer that location even though it is smaller.

Its economical, extremely clean, well maintained and a plethora of equipment and weights. However what I appreciate is the harmonious atmosphere of ' non-judgemental" vibe.

I like to give credit where it’s due. I’ve been to multiple locations in Houston, TX, Austin, Illinois and in or near Atlanta. This location is the best. It has the largest variety of machines I’ve seen (& plenty of each), it’s clean, updated and the staff is great. I was most impressed with the shower area since I often hit the gym right before work. The double stalls that allow you to disrobe before entering the shower without being exposed, made my normally arduous routine so much simpler and faster. I can tell that a lot of thought went into designing this gym and I am very appreciative. Great work guys!

Planet fitness on Knox Abbott drive is just like Murrells Inlet planet fitness. I really like the setup. Murrells Inlet planet fitness is the best. I really like the Planet fitness at Dutch square Mall, I like their tanning beds and their equipment. Dutch square and Knox Abbott have clean bathrooms. Dutch square Mall has the nicest female trainer I have ever met at any of the planet fitnesses that I've been to. And I have been to a lot of them. The North Charleston planet fitness has the nastiest attitude staff I've ever met at any gym as long as I've lived. I was a bodybuilder in 2011 and 2012 and I really hit the gym hard back then, like I lived there almost. And I just know that I could live without North Charleston planet fitness for the rest of my life, I can't believe that place hadn't been sued and shut down.

This gym is GREAT. even at the busiest times, there's plenty of space for everyone to stay apart but get a workout in. I had an issue with a man staring at me and other women, the staff and manager made a point to not only handle it well and ban the offender, but talked to me afterwards. They take that kind of issue very seriously here, and it has made me feel very safe working out here. Queen, the trainer here, is awesome. She took the time to show me what to focus on for my workouts, how to use the machines, etc. I see her every time I go now, and she's so encouraging. The hydromassage is sooo nice after a hard workout. There's lot of different settings and adjustments, as well as games, books and music to keep you busy during it. I signed up for the Black Card due to a promotion, and i definitely do NOT regret it. I use it every time I come- whether it's the hydromassage, the guest pass, using other locations, etc it has been a great deal that is worth the cost. Overall, I definitely recommend this gym to anyone! Great staff, good machines, good client base, good all around.

The gym is extremely clean. It's large and the equipment/hydro beds are well spaced, so you don't feel cramped. There are numerous TVs which is nice because sometimes i forget my headphones! I love the treadmills and the 30 minute express workout area.

As a blackcard member, I visit alot of different clubs in my travels. Tonight I met an exceptional planet fitness employee by the name of Joshua. He was busy the entire time I was at the gym. He was all over the gym cleaning and organizing equipment. Spray bottles were made available in locker rooms by Joshua so members could easily spray showers and as I was leaving he didn't hesitate to wish me a goodnight. I really hope the franchise owner recognize the efforts of this young man, I didn't hesitate to thank him for providing a clean environment for members who workout at this location Thank you Joshua 👍

The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a huge gym so you never have to wait for equipment. And like their ads say—everyone is welcome. Absolutely no judgement here! It's a great and convenient place to go and workout at any time of day any day of the week! The machines have easy-to-read instructions if your not sure how to work a specific machine, and there is always someone there to help if you need it! I love going to this Gym, Planet Fitness is amazing!

The place is as clean as can be, it's warm and inviting on the inside and plenty of tvs to keep you busy. Never met anyone unfriendly between the patrons and the crew, but I especially want to acknowledge staff member Riley. Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership due to work dominating my time, but he he was energetic, fun, and balanced getting me handled and guiding multiple other customers along without making me feel shunned. No guilt trip for canceling and it was ultimately a less than five minute process. Thank you Riley and PF, I hope to return when life suits the situation a little better!

This is a great Gym. The facilities are second to none. The sanitation efforts are unbelievable and I feel very safe working out in the environment they have created. There is adequate room for everyone to socially distance and get a good workout.

Even with it being a small gym, it is a great gym. The employees are so friendly and always great you with a smile. I had an issue where another member blocked my car door and Tyler, an employee of planet fitness for my car out for me. He didn't gripe or complain, he actually was very nice the entire time. I appreciate great customer service and that is what I am always given everytime I go to planet fitness at Dutch square. I appreciate them for being so helpful and polite.

Beautiful showers! So clean and they are the only ones that offer sanitary supplies such as lysol for the showers and disinfectants. The front desk people were so polite and helpful the parking lot was huge and they seem to be awesome

The staff is always friendly and very helpful. Planet Fitness has taken the pandemic and it's precautions serious, but with skillful marketing and attention to detail they have made it fun and "Cleansiderate" in it's marketing approach. Everyone is looking for a sense of normal, and physical activity and working out is not only a great stress reliever, but it also gives members a chance to see life, to share in weight loss or weight gain (in my case, muscle mass), and more importantly see others striving to accomplish goals and celebrate victories even in the times of trouble and uncertainty.Sanitation stations are always fully stocked and the return to 24 hours operation is a welcomed sight for those of us that like to work out at odd times, or when we can feel more secure in this pandemic.Kudos for your dedication to sound business practices, and give your marketing department a raise!

All staff have been very nice and welcoming. Who cares about size? You can only work out in one area at a time. The staff must have a schedule for cleaning, as most times I'm there, they are going around cleaning or checking their facility. The only thing that would help, is instructions on how to get the machines to the televisions. Also, the showers are small. Most men do not care about one big shower, unless y'all are back to worrying about size again? Ha! Good job, overall, Dutch Square.

I also 😍 that they're open 24/5, just shorter hours on weekends due to COVID19. **Also accepts insurance pmts, my Medicare Advantage Humana PAYS FOR MY MEMBERSHIP!!! I chose Planet Fitness based on 24/5 availability, COVID protocols, access to large variety & quantity of equipment! (I chose to upgrade a level for unlimited: use of other locations, bring a guest along, & use of tanning beds..less than $15/mo cost to me!) Super kind, friendly yet professional Asst Manager (I think) was patient to answer all my questions & actually listen to me talk! Facility was super clean, witnessed pandemic cleaning protocols & tried a stand-up tanning bed for the 1st time (was easy to use even without my glasses, I really liked that it had voice assist to walk me through my whole session! I haven't been in any type tanning bed in years, but my depression getting bad & running out of viable options - and the beds are so much better now!) I made a free appt with a trainer to go over my goals & issues before she helps set me up a program to best reach said goals. Really looking forward to starting on losing this extra 75 pounds for good!

I liked them until they started requiring face masks while working out. I did a lot of cardio stuff so that makes it difficult to get proper oxygen amounts. I had to stop going and change gyms which doesn’t require masks while working out and practices social distancing to prevent issues

Great low cost big box gym with friendly staff. Equipment appears to be well taken care of and Covid precautions are in place and followed. I'm usually a local gym guy and tend to be what PF refers to as a "lunk" but have had no problems here thus far. Happy to endorse this location!

The convent location is a plus for me, a nice amount of equipment for cardio workouts. I normally go later if I'm doing any free weights. The staff seems nice and helpful but I've never really spoken to them, and it's very clean for a gym.

Great gym. They moved to a different location around a year ago, and it’s big and has tons of stuff. The staff is courteous and friendly. I’ve only ever had one complaint; I left it on a survey they sent out, and within 24 hours I got an actual phone call from them telling me they were remedying it. Highly recommended, especially if you live nearby.

Not the best Planet Fitness I have been to. When I went to the hydro massage room I walked in to find a man sleeping in the chair. That was not the best feeling. I reported it to the staff who asked the man to leave. I was provided a different room while they cleaned it. My biggest concern is that those areas are not monitored.

Great place to go. The facility is typically clean and well organized. Occasionally you’ll find a rude individual (patron) who’ll talk endlessly on their phone, despite several postings to keep phone conversations in the lobby. Can get busy around 4-6pm, but they’re moving to a larger space soon which should help. Staff is friendly and even greets me by name.

Huge gym with two rows of TVs that you can see from everywhere in the gym. There are so many machines, you will almost always find what you are looking for open. The patrons and staff are always friendly and keep the place clean and organized.

Be aware of what you are getting with PF: there are only dumbbells in regards to free weights. That means no benchpress or squat racks either. I didn't pay attention to it during my initial tour. That isn't a deal breaker for me but it may be to others. That being said lots of machines and cardio available. The gym is very clean. Staff is great and very nice. My only real criticism is that I do miss squats and benchpress sometimes, only 4 upright bikes available and two have been broken since I have been a member, and it is too packed to do anything from 5-7 pm. Most other times the gym is nearly empty.

The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional. There is never a shortage of workout equipment. Seldom will you find an inoperable machine; if you do the staff will fix it immediately. If you need assistance the staff will come to your assistance.

Have adequate equipment and water fountains to refill water. Downside is always come at a decent time because people sit at the free weights location forever (as always). So not after 4pm on work days and peak weekend time

Great, convenient location, to say the least. I haven't been to any other planet fitness but there's nothing wrong with the Dutch square location, it is small however. Contrary to some other reviews, there is Wi-Fi . The ONLY thing I would change, if I could, is the hours. If I work weekends, I have to skip the gym altogether. If they would open earlier/ close later on Saturday and Sunday for us who work irregular 9-5 hour shifts, this location would be as good as any. P.S they should update the location hours on the front door. That can be confusing or misleading

Now opened 24hrs I can really get a good workout done before going to work at midnight. Demarques Williams is always helpful and gives great advice and tips on how to have a good workout. Granted the facility is smaller in comparison to the other facilities on Two Notch and Garners Ferry but the great customer service makes up the difference.

Great equipment, good variety, but taking away stars for the showers. There's only two available for the men. Handicap one out of order apparently. There's 2 big open areas with chairs directly across from the showers, I'm assuming that's supposed to be changing room? Turn at least one of those into showers. The shower itself is incredibly small, I was slamming my elbows into the slimy walls. Hook right at the shower was loose, I hung my towel on it and about took it out of the wall. I left feeling dirtier when I went in, the floor was dirty.

No my home PF but I was in town on business and stopped in for a Sunday morning workout . Lots of space , pretty clean overall , very few folks on a Sunday at 7:30 am ,staff was nice but didn't leave the front counter( but was the only person working ) .Good work out and zero complaints
