Lot of equipment in a small space, 24 treadmills, 24 ellipticals, And six bikes. Meets the standards of the average planet fitness with nice staff and clean faculties. The men’s locker room is however the smallest I’ve seen at any planet fitness. The facility would feel claustrophobic if I went when it was busy.

Staff is always friendly and helpful… BUT The machines have been broken for way too long!!! Not fair to the member who use those machines on a regular basis!

I had been searching EVERYWHERE for a GOOD place to tan in the Burlington area...the places were waaayyyyyy too expensive and the beds were not hot enough. A co-worker of mine suggested Planet Fitness! Duh!! I totally forgot about them, used them back home for a bit. What a great deal!! You can tan every day AND workout for $25/month....can't beat the price and the beds are freaking awesome!! Very happy camper lol

I have been coming here for years. I always appreciate the environment & enthusiasm. I recently I went in a snow storm and got stuck. Well the assistant manager on duty (Alexis) wouldnt let that happen. She walked me to my car.. shoveling a path for me. Then she continued to shovel me out!! All with a glamorous and warming smile. In an industry where customer service is limited, I give this gym a solid 5.

I've been going to this location for about 3 years and it has met my needs. The staff are friendly and helpful. Being open late on the weekends is a big plus since I work non traditional hours. It has also been easy to freeze and cancel my membership when needed. I couldn't care less about having to work out with a mask on. I'm not sure why they haven't changed the rule but it doesn't bother me. For the price, it's worth it. If you are looking for a gym with lots of extra amenities, I would suggest going to a different more expensive gym.

Love to work out here. I go about 3-4times a week. the manager and staff are great and the place is always clean and I feel very welcome. Lots of solid machines to use.

Nice and quiet, small but not crowded. Only negative is my shower took a minimum of 10 minutes to get warm. But hey being a trucker you do what you gotta, It was nice when it got hot though as I was getting out lol.

Decent, affordable, a little small on the weight lifting side. I wish they had barbells instead of just smith machines, and if you aren't short don't expect to be able to do any hanging exercises because there are no bars or hardly any good spots for pullups, hanging ab workouts etc. Had covid restrictions wayyy past most places, finally got rid of them.

It's really clean and pretty nonjudgmental. Been going for the past few weeks and I go in the afternoons, it can get quite busy and you quickly realize it isn't that large of a place. However, they fit tons of different machines and equipment in so you can work out whatever you want. I know they have tanning beds and massage chairs but I've never been in there.

It's fine for what it is. I was careful to not grunt or groan to avoid setting off the lunk alarm. Barbell squats and bench press can only be done with a Smith machine and they have only one assisted pull-up bar. They have no standard pull-up bars. I didnt put a weight on the assist platform and do standard pullups because I was afraid that might set off the lunk alarm.

This gym has changed management in the last several months, so some of the negative reviews no longer apply. This gym really is a great fit for me. I usually go mid afternoon, so I probably miss the busiest times, but I have never waited for a cardio machine- there have always been several open. Sometimes I need to adjust my (obscessive compulsive) order of machine use, but I've always been able to go back and finish my workout without waiting around. It has always been spotlessly clean, including the ladies' locker room, which is of adequate size when I'm there. They do ask everyone to wipe down equipment after each use, which you get used to quickly. If you think about it, having the last person's flu and cold germs removed is well worth having to remove your own. The staff also cleans the equipment throughout the day. The staff is friendly and welcoming, although there there doesn't appear to be a trainer on sight at the moment. There is a wide selection of patrons, some younger people there to socialize as well as workout, the hardcore heavy lifters, women in pretty clothes and make-up, and plenty of people like me, aging, overweight weaklings in baggy tights and old tee shirts. I have never felt intimidated or unwelcome. It is also amazingly inexpensive and in a good " miss the traffic" location. I briefly tried the edge and felt like the ugly stepsister, and I used to go to the Y, which was a bit grubby and hard to get to and even harder to find parking. If you don't need a pool or classes, this is the best choice. It is a clear upgrade for a lower price.

Solid experience! Clean, friendly, convenient. The automatic sinks are too sensitive. Can't even bend over the sink without them turning on. Would also like suggest a separate area for blow dryers instead of at this very sink. Also, the shower curtains are too small and therefore very messy. There aren't even hooks in the shower or any place to set your necessities unlike the Berlin area. Apart from that, it meets our basic requirements.

Rock And Troll

The only gym I've ever been to without time limits on equipment. A low monthly cost gives you access to a clean inviting well stocked gym with extras such as tanning and massage chairs available too. Rows and rows of cardio equipment so you never have to wait long or at all. Weights can get a little crowded during peak times but open 24/7 so you can go whenever it works for you. The Black Card membership is the best deal giving you access to any of their clubs and the ability to bring a friend to help stay motivated or motivate them to join as well.

My wife and I have been members for over a year now, and we have ZERO complaints! The staff is always friendly and accommodating; there is plenty of equipment to use, outside of the end of day (4 to 7 pm) rush hour during wintertime; the equipment is kept clean and sparkly; and you can't beat the price! Now the men's room is a bit small, and can be a hassle during those winter peak hours, but hey, it's not Caesar's Palace, am I right? Kudos to Shawna and staff!

Cheap membership, gym stays fairly clean, though the locker rooms are a little lacking. It's usually very crowded during the day, but in the evening it's usually almost empty. Open 24/7, very convenient. The staff is friendly but not overwhelming. I enjoy coming here, one of the better (and cheapest!) gyms I've been to.

Great gym. The staff always greet you and say goodbye. They are friendly and to attempt to get to know you. One woman there always greeted me by my name, it was nice that she took the time to learn it. The lockers and bathrooms were re-done in the last year and are always clean. The machines are regularly maintained. I do wish this location had a large area for stretching/yoga. They do have trainers on site, free to use, but there seems to be a new one every few months- it would be nice for regularity. However, they are usually nice and knowledgeable enough. It would be nice to have WiFi on site (I am able to use UVM's network however as a guest (you need to confirm in browser for those having issues)). Overall, a great place to go for the casual to regular user. I am there once a day ever weekday for an hour to forty minutes at a time with freeweights, the smithson and sometimes treadmills. FYI the smithson closest to the back wall has greater resistance.

I work in a office building next door to a planet fitness . Never actually been in one. But my phone continually thinks I'm there. So...review it is...outside of the building seems nice....they let my supervisor have a key to their side door in case either of our two evacuation points are comprised we can go there ...so that was nice...

I had little concern regarding cleanliness of rubber mats in front of men's showers. I shared it with on site manager as well as assistant manager. Same day assistant manager, Alex, went in there and took care of it. That was not easy task to do. I am very happy with result. I hope night crew cleaners keep that area clean from now. Thank you Alex, you are amazing!!!

No frills gym. Staff does a good overall job of keeping clean and is generally nice as well as helpful. Would rate higher but I don't get the feeling the owners treat their staff as well as the could or should based on my experience of going here for a decade +. Great place to go to work out for the price. Not for "Hulk Hogan" types, though they do show up occasionally. Update: I've recently been to a few Planet Fitness locations out of the state and have found them to be larger, with a greater variety of equipment and offering free wi-fi. I'm not sure if the other locations in Vermont offer wi-fi, but in South Burlington they seem content to let their members "steal" access from the Fletcher Allen Health Care location in the same building. This disappoints me greatly as it is irresponsible in addition to the fact that the FAHC facility clearly knows about it and has locked down their wi-fi guest access to only work during their own working hours (which is the same thing I would do if I were them.) Update to my previous update (3/4/2018): The South Burlington location has added free wi-fi. Yay! Thanks for listening. I'll leave my previous information (the first update) in place for a while longer just so people can see that PF South Burlington is making improvements based on customer feedback as I think it's important to see that customer feedback is taken seriously.

Smallest Planet Fitness I have been to. (I don't ever utilize this amenity, but there was no 30min circuit room.) Very friendly staff! Welcoming and accomdating to out-of-town Black Card members aka me. Not enough cardio equipment variety: no stair masters!

Joined recently and they have lots of equipment I don't have room for or can afford. I'm black card member and there's lots of perks for very little a month. They have leg,lats,ab and cardio machines that are worth their weight in gold.😁 And the hydrochair 👍

If you're looking for the basics - free weights, machine weights, treadmills, cycles, ellipticals, locker rooms - Planet Fitness is a perfect fit. For $10 a month, it is a clean gym with all the basic equipment. Once a month, free bagels for the morning folks and free pizza for the later crowd.

It’s small and a bit tight on space, but there’s enough equipment and a small enough group of frequent gym-goers that I very rarely have to wait to use anything. Seems like a cardio-heavy group, weights are almost always open. It’s enough, and for me, that’s all I need in a gym, not a luxury service

NO WIFI. This P Fit is really starting to show it's age. Missing a chest press machine. Usually pretty crowded given area population and college town crowd. Staff is nice but generally indifferent. It's a P Fit and it's close to Burlington, you generally know what you will be getting.

It has a cheap membership and it tries to keep dildos like Rob Golden and Eleonai Israel out. I don't want to see idiots on their phones when working out and if you need to be on the phone then you don't need to be working out. Also, there is a really hot redhead who works out here. I'd love to smash her.

Upgrading to four stars because of the following: 1) Two new water fountains and a bottle filling station. For years, they only had one semi working water fountain. 2) All new weight training equipment as of Dec 2022. 3) Finally staffed well. They do still have an issue with fixing/maintaining equipment. Too many pieces are out of order for too long. And the men's locker room is still tiny.

One of the best gyms to get a membership with. They're cheaper than the local gyms and offer a lot of perks with it too. They have a lot of cardio equipment and machines to work on muscles on top of their selection of weights. It can get busy, but everyone including the guests are super friendly. My only downside is no Stair Master machine but it's a personal preference.
