My 10 year old son has been attending the Rookie classes for about 2 - 3 weeks now and loves it. He wanted to work on agility / strength / speed as we head into his off-season, so we found D1 and gave it a shot. The coaches push the classes hard, but still keep it fun for the young ones. My son is being challenged to push himself harder and really work to get better. The class sizes for his age have generally ranged from 4- 8 students, with 2 instructors on the larger days. I feel like the ratio helps the coaches monitor form to ensure the kids are learning proper technique as well. We're hoping to continue seeing positive results. Highly recommend give D1 a shot for your young athlete.

I love D1! They are extremely professional. They care! The trainers have degrees in exercise science. They aren’t just athletes like other facilities have. I got hurt at other places, and I don’t at D1 because the trainers watch every move I make. I am not athletic, but I am still gaining strength. They are the best Asheville has to offer. A true family.

These guys are great! We go twice a week but if we could go every day we would! My son loves it and looks forward to it every time! Andrew is awesome! He really pushes the kids but makes it fun. Definitely worth it!

Haven’t worked out in years. Decided to make a change and give D1 a try. They offer a great workout with small class sizes where the coaches can actually watch your form. Everybody in class is very friendly and welcoming to new members.

I absolutely love training at D1! I’ve been active in the weight room for years now but struggle with the conditioning aspect of training. My coach at D1 has created personalized workouts for me that push me to do my best every day. I’ve only had 8 sessions and already feel so much better with my strength and conditioning. The workouts are always challenging and progressing and it’s so much fun! I highly recommend D1 to anyone at any fitness level!

The environment is chill and spacious, a lot of room even when class is full (7-10 people). Our coach, Griffin, is top notch and gives examples of the moves for ALL level of members. Most importantly, the routine is different, good music and Griffin is tirelessly there to help with posture and form. I also appreciate the time taken for stretching before and after class. Overall, best low impact, high energy class I’ve taken in a very long time! No regrets, hope to see you there!!

Brooke is amazing!! When setting up my appointment, I was completely nervous about the whole process. The owner was extremely sweet and understanding about my journey. He listened to my goals and was super helpful with making me feel comfortable. My trainer Brooke is so energetic and makes every work out session fun. I am NEVER bored!! If you want results and a comfortable environment, D1 is the place to go!!!

Workouts at D1 are the highlight of my week! What sets D1 apart from other gyms/trainers is that you can go in with a specific athletic goal (in my case pushing my vertical past 30 inches) and they will create a customized program with specific progressions to help you achieve your goals. I really appreciate Coach Griffin challenging me and throwing in new movements each session. This is the place to go if you want to improve your athletic performance!

There are all types of people who attend the training sessions, some are super advanced, and others are just starting out. I have been working out at D1 for about six weeks, four to five days a week and have loved every minute of my time there. The coaches are knowledgeable, motivating, and design a challenging but fun class. The strength and bootcamp classes provide a great combination of building muscle, endurance, speed, and agility. I’ve really enjoyed my membership at D1. The thing that makes D1 different from other gym memberships I’ve had before, is the type of work outs. They are focused, intense, and I feel like I get a great quality workout in just 1 hour. Well worth my time. Rather than jogging on the tread mill for 30 min, I now get to gain strength, get my cardio in and get closer to my goals!

Nice athletic gym with really nice trainers. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. This gym is not open for personal gym use but they do provide personal training and group fitness training six days a week.

I started training with Rebecca at D1 to train for a Spartan race and I feel like I am not only ready physically but mentally. Rebecca and the entire staff have been my cheerleaders the entire way. They are thoughtful, communicative and so knowledgeable. I hurt my leg half way through due to running outside of my training and they have always asked if I needed to modify because of my pain and are willing to do whatever I need. I love training at D1 and will continue to well after my race. 5 stars across the board.

Absolutely love this facility! The staff is very welcoming and educated in there specific fields. They have special training plans for whatever outcome you may be looking for. I have been in the gym on a consistent basis for over 30 years. This is an exercise program that is new to me, intense, and every changing - which keeps your body guess as to "what's the next exercise" rather than a regular routine with specific exercises and reps for each workout. This program has been very challenging and has forced me to push harder than I thought I could, but has been equally rewarding to watch and feel my body change in areas that I had previously not seen change despite my routine. Everyone interested in exercise should give this program a try.
