Going through the Upward Motion three (3) pillars of success program has been life changing for me. Between the coaching calls with Coach Oliver, the in-person group workouts, customized personal workouts, and dedication and discipline on my part, I was able to lose 25 lbs in less then 3 months. The best part about it is the program has changed my entire outlook on eating and nutrition. I can honestly say that my eating habits have now become a lifestyle rather then a “diet”. I would definitely recommend Upward Motion to anyone who is serious about weight loss and overall fitness.

I did the 6 week challenge and I lost 26 pounds and 4% body fat. I think it’s definitely worth the investment. They held me accountable and it was actually fun. The classes are super doable for a busy lifestyle. I had an event that I knew I wanted to cheat on my meals for but I was very honest about what I wanted to do and they helped me work out a plan specific for me to get through it. Trainers are very energetic and help motivate. The meal plans are fairly simple and I get options to choose from. I’m super excited with the results. I feel healthier and confident. I literally have to buy new clothes now. I went from a XXL to a L now. Look to continue forward with my new lifestyle change and showing my young daughter how to balance life exercise and food.

I have been with this Gym longer than any other before it. My one year anniversary is coming up, at the price, the quality of customer service, the many services provided, and experience you get, it is worth every penny. I have had challenges with my weight, still do, however this Gym's model continues to remind how easy it is to go and get support when I need it. Strongly recommend for personal fitness needs! I'm a busy professional with little time to research and develop a nutrition and fitness plan to achieve my fitness goals on my own. Luis at Upward Motion made it happen for me. He prescribed a straightforward, easy to understand work out regimen and nutrition plan to drop weight and build muscle. In the four months of my training Luis was responsive and proactive in making adjustments as necessary, giving tips, and holding me accountable.
Luis's expertise saved me time and made it easy to get out there and get it done. My goal was to lose at least ten pounds, get solid pull up and crunch reps, and run a timed three mile run in 24 minutes. I lost more than ten pounds (13lbs, and if you're losing weight, you know how hard each pound is to lose). I went from 0 pull ups to 8 in one month. Went from 26 crunches to 57 in one month. Went from 30 minute 3 miles to 24:30 in one month. In the beginning you figure out what's working and what's not, so stick with it. Once you get into a groove and iron out the wrinkles, it's on! The progress keeps coming and the sky is the limit if you put the work in. Luis and Upward motion can help you do that.

This is a great gym. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere and they produce the results you're looking for. I signed up for the 6 week weight loss challenge. They provided wonderful classes, recipes and support. The coaches are knowledgeable and are there to support you every step of the way. In the end, I'm down 12lbs and 6% body fat and so happy with my results!

I love this gym. Luis, the owner is so committed to your fitness and weight loss goals it increases motivation and success. The gym is small, friendly and with a diverse membership. The trainers are the best I've ever worked with and because its a more intimate experience, they really get to know you, your goals, and push and support you in a very genuine way. The gym always has a contests, , challenge, promotions, and offers other activities that support you in your weight loss and fitness goals. This place feels like neighborhood environment / a family. I discovered Upward Motion through Facebook. There was an advertisement for a “free” six week challenge. I went in and sat down with Luis, the owner, and had an in-depth conversation about expectations from both him and myself. The challenge was to lose 20 pounds or six percent body fat in the six weeks. Within that six weeks, I would have recipes, accountability, coaching, workouts, and weekly weigh-ins. This seems too good to be true, right? The catch? I did pay for it up front with the expectation that IF I met my goals, i would get the money back. Let me tell you, what a way to motivate! Throughout the six weeks, the diet was incredibly strict. However, I absolutely loved the workouts. Everybody at this gym is incredible. The workouts are fun, and the coaches really help push you through. This gym is 100 percent worth the money. I’m very sad to be ending my journey, but I’m so glad I did it! I lost 16 pounds and 6% body fat in 6 weeks. I had great physical results! Try upward motion, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I started at Upward Motion in the beginning of December for a 6 week challenge. The goal was to lose 20 lbs or 6% body fat. You did have to put money down and if you met your goal, you get that money back. Nothing else motivated me to lose weight, so losing a good chunk of money definitely peaked my interest. I met with Luis and he described the program in detail. He did let me know upfront that it was going to be a lot of work and self discipline, but it could be done and the program was designed to help me succeed. I was required to work out with their program at least 3x a week and participate in a weekly coaching call with Luis. This helped keep me focused and accountable. The workouts were only 30 minutes a day, so there was no reason that I couldn't carve that into my schedule. After the first week, I lost 4 lbs and continued to lose at least 3-4 lbs a week after that. When I noticed my clothes fitting better, I was even more determined to meet my goal and stay on track. I met my goal of 20 lbs AND 6% body fat. It wasn't easy, but I did it.
I don't think I would have been so successful if it wasn't for Luis and his team. If I had a question, all I had to do was send him a text and he would respond. All of the trainers are so encouraging and I loved the workouts.

Upward Motion Personal Training has something for everyone. They have personal training, group challenges, group classes, and equipment to use on your own. There are always extra incentives and gatherings available to us to improve our fitness and diets. I have been a member there for over two years and the trainers and Luis, the owner, are always available to help with my questions or just to chat. Someone mentioned that going to Upward Motion is like going to "Cheers" and I agree. They know my name and they are always glad I came. And so am I. The fitness classes are challenging and varied. If I have a problem with an exercise, the trainer always knows how to adjust it for me. Thanks to the trainers, I am able to use good form, prevent injuries, and push myself. I highly recommend Upward Motion to anyone who is ready to commit to their personal fitness and wants to work with others who are also committed.

The encouragement and welcome feel of this gym are a big plus. The classes are short, intense, and hard work. There are enough classes that I could always find one that fit my schedule. The instructors and kind and knowledgeable. The price is out of my budget as a monthly investment but when I need to kick myself into shape this a good place to start.

This is a great personal/group training center that offers a high level of customer satisfaction! The trainers are down-to-earth and give everyone personal attention on their exercises. I have typically seen the new members that join learn the value and see the results/transformations and later become long term members. Group class are typically small to allow for adjustments and pointers from trainers. You will not find that this at other gyms because the classes are so big. My wife and I have been attending for a year now and have seen great results in our physical well-being. They offer a variety of classes but anyone at any level can do any of the classes because of the personal attention and customization they do on the fly to accommodate anyone’s fitness level.

This place is going to get to know you really well, and push you to be your best with all of the right information and tools you need to reach your goals with whatever lifestyle challenges you may have. They worked with me being a full time employee at a sedentary job and part time graduate student doing volunteer work on the side, and made sure I was able to eat well and train well. In 6 weeks I lost four pounds and almost 5% body fat and was able to increase my running pace by almost 2:00 minutes per mile. I'm well on my way to my goals for fitting in my wedding dress and running a Spartan Super straight thanks to UpMo!

It is a great atmosphere! Everyone is very encouraging from the trainers, to other members, all the way to the owner! I was really nervous about deciding to get fit. I'm so glad I chose this facility. In the first few weeks it was rough every class but if anyone saw you struggle they quickly said things like,
"You got this", " Keep going!", " It's almost done, you're right there!". For me it was a mindset/lifestyle change and I couldn't be any happier with my results! The 6 week challenge was awesome! The meal plans were easy to follow (and came with recipes and grocery shopping lists), I'm going to continue to use them. This gave me the opportunity to think about what types of food I was eating and why I was eating them. The meal plans had a purpose and the purpose was to put good, clean food in my body so that I work out 4-5 times a week. The 6 week challenge gave me the opportunity to change how I thought about fitness and eating and now I'm leaner, more healthy, confident and have a positive mindset when it comes to my fitness goals and achievements! All of the trainers were always available if you had questions about a workout or meal, or just needed to talk about having a rough day. UpMo also provides a fitness community and liked-minded people. I highly recommend the 6 week challenge if you need that "kick" to get you started on your fitness goals, or if you need help getting out of a fitness lull.

I did a 6 week challenge at upward motion. I was challenged to lose 20lbs in 6 weeks. I ended up losing 23 lbs all together. The staff was very friendly and very motivating. They would text you often to check in to see if you had any questions and then once a week you would have a call with your head coach to see how you were doing and if anything needed to change. Anytime I reached out they would contact me right back with an answer. I even did my challenge over thanksgiving and Christmas and was still able to lose with their help. I did have a huge breakdown in the middle that I could not do it but Luis got me out of my funk and kept me going. If you want to lose weight fast and the right way i recommend them greatly but you better want to work for it.

Luis and Cheyenne are super responsive and really kept me accountable. Danny is an amazing instructor and his workouts kicked my butt! I would recommend the six week challenge to anyone who is looking for a way to jump start their fitness goals while having all the tools provided for success. My goal was to lose 6% body fat in 6weeks and I lost 6.5!!! It was not easy, but the feeling of not needing spanx is worth it!!

I have been working out at various gyms in the US and have found Upward Motion to be the absolute best. I have trained with their excellent trainers and now train with Dominic who has helped me with all my posture issues, strength and overall health. I have never felt better physically in my entire life (which is a long one). In addition to the personal training, the "vibe" in the gym is truly lovely. People are very friendly, although not too much so. I always feel that I am an important client and always look forward to going to the gym and coming out refreshed.
Recently TSA asked me about my implants and pacemaker and I could say "Thank Goodness for Upward Motion" at my age of 74, I still don't need those. KEEP MOVING! It is a great place - friendly, knowledgable trainers and a wonderful clientele.

They provide a variety of different classes, personal training, small group classes with many different time slots to fit any busy schedule. I felt a real sense of fitness family here and they have something for all different fitness levels. It is more expensive than the franchise gyms and for good reason. It is an investment in your health and wellness and the results I got way surpassed other gyms I have been to.

I joined their "free" 4 week challenge in the beginning of November 2017. I initially weighed in at 198 lbs. and 31% Body Fat. The challenge was to lose 12 lbs. in those 4 weeks. You have to put a deposit down which you gain back if you succeed in this challenge. This is why I put "free" in quotation marks. I thought it was a fair deal and I was willing to bet on myself to at least jump start my health and fitness.
After 4 weeks, I had lost 13 lbs. going down to 185 lbs and 3% body fat. These numbers don't do any of the other positive effects of feeling healthy again any justice. I saw an improvement in my confidence, mood, sleep, personal relationships and discipline through this gym. I think that even if I lost my deposit, the money would have still been worth it but having money on the line definitely lit a fire under my butt to take the challenge seriously. I am proud of myself.
The gym employs several different group classes throughout the day to match people's needs. Most of the classes focus on High Intensity Interval Training, some resistance training with dumbbells, kettle bells, TRX, and yoga/stretching. The instructors are energetic and encouraging. They're all great!
I learned so much from the instructors in 1 month about proper diet techniques and health tips here and there. I have been a moderately active individual and pretty well versed in exercise science prior to joining this gym but this was the first time I saw the value in pursuing fitness with other supportive individuals and coaches.
I am only taking out one star because proper form isn't stressed very well in the classes in my experience. There are too many people to check when some complex moves are being performed that form can fall through the cracks. With that being said, the instructors are not negligent they're just not super heroes.
All in all, my clothes fit better, I feel more athletic, my mood is elevated, my self-confidence is a lot better all in a span of a month. I also feel better equipped to independently make healthy lifestyle choices going forward because of Luis and Upward Motion. I am eternally grateful. I plan on re-signing.

I just finished Upward Motions 6 Week Weight Loss Challenge, and was an amazing experience. I answered the invitation to complete the challenge from social media, Facebook to be exact. The post was asking for people to take part in a "free" body and lifestyle challenge. My fiance and I had been trying to self motivate for our upcoming nuptials, but for the last for months no matter how good our intentions, life kept getting in the way. But we needed a change, in Sept the challenge. We signed up via the links and the owner Luis got back to us very quickly. He informed us that the challenge would not be starting for almost two weeks, but he invited us to visit the facility and to start working out even though we weren't members. The facility is extremely welcoming as are all the members. During our orientation Luis filled us in on all the details. The gym is open 7 days a week and they offer both instructor lead classes and individual personal training. They have some free weights, cardio equipment, a stretching rack, row machines, and TRX. You are welcome to use the equipment when ever you'd like. The classes ended up being my favorite part. Having played competitive soccer and college rugby I was stuck in an antiquated mentality. I had always been told to train certain parts of my body certain days along with mixing in cardio and calisthenics. This made my average workouts prior to going Upward Motion to last an average of one and a half to two hours. That was all fine and dandy when I was 20 and just going to college, but not now. I'm four months away from my wedding, three months away from turning fourth, and I work 50+ hrs a week in corporate management. Luis let us in on the secrets and gave us all the tools I needed. The challenge consisted of total nutrition planning, and 24/7 support via text and phone, and a training program that required a minimum of 3 workouts a week, with the average workout only lasting 30-45 minutes. My challenge was to lose 25 lbs. You would think that that little amount of working out wouldn't do it, but you'd be wrong. I lost a total of 32 lbs in those six weeks. Their guided challenge made it simple. The reality is that 70% of being healthy is nutrition, the of 30%is being physically active. Don't get me wrong their 30 min instructor lead classes kicked my butt. But I wasn't wasting my time at a regular gym, waiting to use a machine. And was in and out and home in time for dinner every night. While my ultimate weight loss goal hasn't been reached yet. I look forward to the my workouts and a healthier future now. I would say if you ever get a chance to accept the challenge please do so. And after you complete the challenge please consider becoming a member. You won't regret it. Now you might have asked why I had originally put FREE in parentheses. Well the challenge is free if you successfully complete it, but it does require a financial deposit. The amount is $400 and if you don't lose your contracted weight loss you don't get a refund (I think everyone's amount is different, I had to lose 25 lbs while my fiance had to lose 20). But Luis and Cheyenne will do everything in their power to make sure you succeed. They offer weekly check-in and progress reports, and available via text and phone 24/7. After successful completion you can always apply your deposit back into your ! monthly membership costs. I can't thank Luis and Upward Motion enough for allowing me the opportunity to be a healthy person and a better man for my family. I am forever indebted to them and look forward to all my future workouts and the healthy lifestyle that they have givem me.

I love that I can work out hard when I'm feeling it or I can take it slower and the trainers know when to push or not. Best gym in Albuquerque hands down.

YESSSSS! Who would have guessed small group personal training was the way to go?! I'm hooked-I've never had so much fun having my rear kicked into shape. These classes are short and extremely effective with a great mix of music and awesome teachers (and classmates!). It took about a month before I could handle more than a 30 minute class. I started with a 6-week challenge that included a nutritional plan - that part was so, so hard for me but is getting results where I wasn't on my own and it's fundamentally changed the way I put together meals. Looking forward to a winter of working out in the dark with my upmo peeps and seeing how much stronger I get.

Very impressed. I avoid going to gyms b/c I feel like I'm out of shape and will be awkward -- I SPECIFICALLY avoid small, personalized gyms for this reason. Today's workout was my first work out at this gym and I was BEYOND surprised and pleasantly pleased. I LOVED the short class length- -- enough time to get my heart rate up, by not enough time that I feel locked into making the gym a chore; nor was it too long to get bored, burned out, or exhausted.
