Went to see Little Shop of Horror and it was such an amazing experience, the actors were on point with the character, loved every minute of it. The theater is small and intimate and felt like you were a part of the show. Definitely will be returning to take my family.

First time visiting the Westside Theater to watch Little Shop of Horrors. Great show, by the way, so you need to see it as in now! It currently stars Tony award winning actors Lena Hall and Matt Doyle. I saw it with Mr. Doyle's cover, Jeff Sears and he was stupendous as Seymour Krelborn as was the rest of the cast. Ms. Hall was perfection of course. She will be in the show until January 2023.
The off Broadway theater is a small cozy venue in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. 200+ seating. They do require masks to be worn as well as proof of vaccination. This is probably because the place is so small, they want to protect the cast so they can continue doing what they do. Just comply, ok?
They have snacks and beverages available for purchase. I sat front row, seat 107 right smack in the middle, where Audrey II tries to reach out to the audience and that was a quite an experience. One caveat to sitting front row: the splash zone. So watch out for those well enunciated p's and t's. 🚿☔️ #iykyk

My experience at the Westside Theatre was wonderful - the lobby and bar area were both decorated with loads of community art celebrating the show I was attending, staff were friendly and helpful, the theatre itself was comfortable and cozy.
Every seat had a great view and the pokey staircases with stained glass to get to the theatre itself made the experience even more magical.
10/10 would go for a show there again!
Casey Elliott
Love this little theater! They have amazing shows, and a bar, and souvenirs all packed into one. They do require vaccine card and mask at all times which is not problem at all. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Little Shop of Horrors is playing now and I highly recommend it!
Kate Brown
Such a great little theatre to see a show - not a bad seat in the house (my last pic is from our seats in row J, house right)! We saw Little Shop of Horrors (WHICH WAS AMAZING) and we loved every second of it! We will definitely be back to the Westside Theatre! Highly recommend!

What a delightful Off-Broadway Theater. Small and intimate space located on the 2nd floor you must walk up. This is the perfect house for Little Shop of Horrors the current priduction. The seating is actually roomy and comfortable by NYC standards.
Anna Jenkins
Lovely little gem of a theatre a stone's throw away from Broadway. No production value is lost however and Little Shop of Horrors was an amazing production, both feeling like an intimate small time venue with a beautifully designed set. The cast and ensemble performed wonderfully.
Juliann Negron
Love this Off-Broadway theater! The space is small and intimate, with not a bad seat in the house. It’s located only a few blocks from Port Authority if you need to catch a ride home. The team works hard to make sure health guidelines are followed.
Currently playing in the upstairs theater is Little Shop of Horrors, and I had so much fun! The actors are incredibly talented and the show is only 2 hours including intermission. If you’re a fan of the movie or just looking for a dark comedy musical, I highly recommend.

Wow what a theater. Very nice clean friendly staff. Show was wonderful would recommend to all ages. The actors ,actress ,production crew and producers did a fantastic job. Some house keeping issues gift shop and restrooms a little inadequate. They could have should have a bar with mix drinks even if there was a bar right next to theater. They should have shirts available day of show. Thank you for a very memorable time.

This was my first visit to NY. I've always loved little shop of horrors, never seen it live. The theatre is the cutest little place. I loved how intimate it felt being smaller. We were in the front row. SO wonderful. The actors were amazing, the props were phenomenal. I personally love Christian borle, so I was very excited. Definitely worth the time seeing!
Jonathan Robles
Small theater, but wow, wonderful views at just about any seat in the house. Little house of horrors is a must see. A+ Performance from the cast and crew👏👏👏👏 …
Lyssah Van Baalen
Intimate, well cared for theater. You can tell how much the staff loves their jobs and their cause. The play and music itself was absolutely first rate, I can't remember enjoying a show more. Beware though, although the proceeds support the theater, the alcohol sold at the bar is outrageously expensive. There are about 100 seats in the theater, inclined towards the stage. If you want a real treat, sit in the front row and risk an encounter with Audrey II.
Andrew R. Caban
Small, aged and intimate. What a great little theater. Little Shop of Horrors was so much fun, my 7 year old daughter absolutely loved this experience.
Josh Rosenberg
It was a cute, small theater. There aren't any bad seats here - every seat has an easy view of the stage. The staff was nice, too. I didn't go to the concession stand or the gift shop so I can't really add much more to this review. But I'd go back there to see other shows.
Anshuman Krishna
Went here to watch little shop of horrors. Fine performance; view was good from our perch three rows from the back. You're also seated behind the sound guy there, so you have an additional view into the composition of the show, and I thought that was interesting. Little shop of horrors was fun 80s camp. Only issue was the legroom isn't great, and someone behind me kept kicking my seat.
Ziesook You (유지숙)
Musical ' littel shop of horrors ' is funny and cool. Cozy place.
J S
I like the size of the theatre. Friendly staff. The acoustics could have been better.
Btw. Great musical.
Jim Petera
I ran the projectors at a local movie theater for many years. As such, I watched movies hundreds of times, including both versions of Little Shop Of Horrors.
Can you imagine how that would make you hesitant to watch a Broadway Play?
Well, in all honesty, the play was MUCH better than the movies. Sorry, Hollywood, if the truth hurts but I prefer the play to your movies.
AM L
Nice theater and great show with excellent actors. My only complaint is that they ask that you arrive a half hour early due to Covid safety concerns, but they did not allow the patrons to go to their seats, resulting in the crowd building up in the reception area where people started putting on masks due to the large crowd. Seems to defy the logic of arriving a half hour early to avoid Covid concerns.
Cera Farringer
little shop of horrors was the best play i have ever seen! the cast and crew absolutely blew me away. my fiancé was willing to see a play with me but didn’t think he would be interested, he left the theater raving about this! the theater was nice and the restrooms were clean!
Chad Knapp
Awesome venue with zero bad seats. Loved Little Shop of Horrors!!
M Pike
Saw Little Shop of Horrors here. Theatre is intimate and every seat is good. Show was great-Lena Hall was awesome as Audrey. Easy in and out with minimum lines or fuss.
linda barreto
What a charming theatre ! And the cast of little shop of horrors, WOW!! There’s wasn’t a single second where I wasn’t entertained! I laughed , cried, and enjoyed every moment! What an amazing performance! By far the best play I’ve ever seen!
Bhu Boopathy
Great theater, and excellent staff. The small theater makes it cramped. The staggering of the seating for the seats further back means you have to hope that the person in front of you isn't too tall as my view wasn't angled enough to not be blocked.
Claire Trunk
Lovely mid-size theatre. Small enough that there are no bad seats, and the lines for the concession stands and bathrooms are never too long. Theatre itself is lovely.
vince sanin
Great theater to see a show! Not a bad seat in the house. Small, intimate space that really let's you connect with the show.
Joanne Jarman
Great experience! Smaller theater, well- maintained, friendly staff and clean bathrooms.
Nancy Pisani
Great production! Seats were a little uncomfortable and carpeting worn, but this us an older theater, so that is understandable. I would go there again for another show!
Cindy Shortes
Great theater! Wonderful atmosphere and staff!
Rachel Tipple
Great theatre off Broadway good views from any seat
Jeannie T.
A very nice off Broadway theater that can hold easily 200 - 300 people. The seats were a little tight but the theater is in great condition. Upon entering, you need to walk up to the second or third floor to get to your seats. A good view from any seat. There's no aerial obstruction either. My friend got tickets to see Daniel's Husband and it was an excellent show. The set was simple and easy on the eyes. As were the actors. Really enjoyed coming here.
matt devries
The venue is a perfect size that makes sitting anywhere an amazing experience. The cast put on an awesome show and you tell they were having a blast which is important to enjoy what you are doing. I would recommend this show and venue to anyone and every who ever ask me opinion on places or shows to see in city
Paige DiFiore
Loved seeing Little Shop of Horrors. Even my seat in the last row had an amazing view. Clean bathrooms, kind staff, and very cozy setting. Just be warned the seats aren’t scattered or off centered so you probably have to crane your neck a lot if you’re short.
Kevin Reath
I went here to see Little Shop of Horrors and loved it. The musical was spectacular and fun, the the stage design was well done and interesting, and throughout the theater there were little sculptures of fantastical plants which really helped to set the mood. The acoustics within the theater work well and it was easy to hear the performers, it was also small enough that you could see the details of the set and the expressions of the performers.
Chris Wentland
Saw "Little Shop of Horrors" on April 29, 2022. It's a quaint little theater that is small enough so every seat is a good seat. Check it out for a fun night out.
Chris Davis
We saw Little Shop Of Horrors and it was an amazing production. House was a pleasant temperature even though it was almost a full house (maybe 10 empty seats?). Entry was quick. Facility was clean. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms finally made sense (I'm looking at you other theaters!!!!) One women's one all gender bathroom. Made the restroom wait very equitable. Sound quality of the show was excellent, perhaps a bit too loud. Overall, one of the best shows I've ever seen in a nice facility.
Michelle Riley
Cute and really small theater. Very intimate. Old, but, not in bad condition.
Alysha Edelman
Fabulous!!! The staff were amazing! Love that they have an All gender bathroom! Very progressive. Little shop of Horrors was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Incredible talent... and the puppeteering was PHENOMENAL!!!!!! Would see it again in a heartbeat!!
Céline David
The show is very great !! All the seats are good... It's a warm little place and all spectators are closed to the scene.
Free masks inside
Alonzo Brown
This is a nice venue with comfortable seating.
Aaron Johnson
Super fun, small theater. When we walked in I said to my wife "this place smells like an old church... and not in a bad way." Turns out I was right. Definitely the sort of place to see Little Shop of Horrors.
Vincent Basquiat
Spectacular 19th century church converted to top notch theatre .The building alone is worth the trip.
Karen Finnieston
Little Shop of Horrors
Fantastic night really enjoyed the show. The intimate setting transformed me to the Skid Row along with Seymour and Audrey. Audrey 2 had her very own personality and admit did make me jump at one point. Absolutely loved the show and thoroughly recommend it.
Amy Rudman
Beautiful and intimate theatre, hosting a show with outstanding talent and production
Arielle Tandowski
Small theater, great venue for intimate show experiences. We just saw Little Shop here and it was fabulous.
Gabi Wojcik
What a quaint and lovely theatre. Saw Little Shop of Horrors, which was superb, but also enjoyed the intimacy of the theatre. Seats are mildly uncomfortable, but tolerable for sure! The detail in the decoration of the lobby were easily appreciated and the staff was fantastic and so sweet!
Caitlin Young
What a fun venue! I love seeing buildings that get a second life, and that’s what this is! They kept some of the integrity of the original structure while making it into a theater, and I was very impressed with how many seats they managed to fit in the space! You will be a little tightly packed together because of this. Aside from the size of the space, though, it has all of the bells and whistles of the larger theaters nearby and offers a great experience!
LiAn VeAl
Great two story theatre.
Very clean and follows strict COVID precautions.
Presently, Little Shop of Horrors is playing in the upstairs theatre which seats 270 people. Must show proof of vaccination if seated in row A.
Don't think anything is playing in the lower (ground level) theatre at present, which displays a thrust stage and seats 249 people.
Nice concession upstairs as well.
Enjoyed our time here!
Sandy Shanks
Cozy theater but no handicap accessibility to get to second floor where all.patrons must go to enter the show. Lots and lots of stairs.
Bob P
Not as fancy as other bway theaters but fine. Not big so every seat is good. Lots and lots of steps.
Maria Cruz
Amazing. My son and I truly enjoyed "Little Shop of Horror". The theater size is just right, not too big or small. We were sitting in the front row, left corner and was able to see the whole set and actors. Great music and funny. Would like to go back and see it again.👍 …
Debby Farino
We saw Little Shop of Horrors
Great experience, small theater, every seat is a great seat.
John Mullis
What a great little theater! It is a small cozy theater but they put on a huge show!! We saw Little Shop of horrors and the cast was amazing! The staff at the theater were extremely nice and helpful. They make you feel right at home.
Katherine Nguyen
I came to see Little Shop of Horrors. The musical was fantastic.
The theatre is small and intimate. All seats had a great view of the stage.
The staff was very nice and informative.
Gene Sower
Enjoyed the play as much the second time around. Lena Hall was great. I liked the seats, comfortable.
John Dowdle
This show rocks. Fun, entertaining and a blast. The music is great the cast is perfect. This is a must see. There is not a bad seat in this theater.
Kat Vancko
Nice small theatre - very intimate - a great place for theatre. Of course, the show normally determines what theatre you attend, but if there's a show you want to see here, I definitely recommend it.
Pasi Mäenpää
Cagney was a great play. Actors really knew how to dance and roles fit perfectly.
Theatre has lovely feeling. Getting upstairs by the steep stairway might be difficult for someone. Staff was not that friendly.
Suzanne “Suz” Patterson
We enjoyed and laughed through the entire show. Everyone was superb and the ensemble were the stars also. I wish we had time to see it again. Well worth the trip from AZ. Made my teenager's year!
Rick
I've seen this show 38 years ago when taking my now late wife on a date. We loved it then. My daughter bought tickets and treated me to the show as a Birthday/Valentine's gift. We enjoyed it so much and will more than likely see it again.
Peter David
Went to the Westside Theatre to see The Stone Witch. It was completely amazing! From the projections to the subtle sound scape the show blew my mind. I adored everything about the production. Congrats to all involved on a beautiful production!
Seth Grossman
Great, little, intimate theater. For such a tiny theater, I was impressed by how comfortable the seats were. I didn't feel cramped at all.
A shout out for the show; we saw Little Shop of Horrors - and it was fantastic! Of course Christian Borle was as fantastic as expected; his comedic timing is wonderful. We ended up with the understudy for both Seymour (Josh Daniel) and Audrey (Chelsea Turbin) - and they were both fantastic as well! Josh Daniel was absolutely wonderful as Seymour and we really enjoyed his performance!
John Wheby
Small theater, but well planned out. Not very handicap friendly with all of the steps. Seating has good views from just about anywhere, so there are no obstructed views. Friendly and helpful staff. Well thought out restrooms and common area.
Ben Diamond
Great Smaller venue perfect for the current show of Little SHop of Horrors
Josh Hori
It was lovely, got to watch little shop of horrors with my partner and the usher staff was kind and polite. For those of you who are worried about going back to theaters during these times, the staff were very strict when they saw someone remove their mask and I applaude their desire to keep the actors and guests safe. While it is smaller than the other Broadway theaters, the cast are just as phenomenal and are dedicated to their craft. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect day out.
Dmitriy Butylkov
Nice small theater with good seats.
Philip Lisio
Beautiful vintage off-broadway theater - had the feel of an old apartment building..
Daniel McAloon
Adorable little theater, very well kept and the staff is lovely.
We saw Little Shop of Horrors and I think it may have been my girlfriend's favorite day of her life so far. Excellent all around
bridget
Small venue, close and intimate. LOVED IT! Recommended from my brother who was in NYC off broadway shows for many years! LOVED Little shop of Horrors......so grateful to see a show in this historic theatre.
Beverley Parmenter
Cute and intimate theatre and the show was outstanding.
David Pickens
Nice small theatre but the steps upstairs can be a killer. Little Shop of Horrors ix great!
billy henderson
Good show
Seats are not big guy size
Nice small theater
The show was awesome
The staff were nice
Lisa Schnettler
It's a very nice theater, with an indoor lobby area so they let you wait inside starting before 7:30 (for an 8PM show) And multiple stalls in the 2 bathrooms(!) All the ushers were very nice. In Oct '21, they checked for vaccination cards and ID and enforced the mask rules - friendly but firmly. It's a small theater so basically every seat is a good one. This is the second show I've seen there and I look forward to more.
Scott Ableman
Spectacular small theater doing world class productions in an intimate space with Broadway stars for non-Broadway prices.
Heather Hancox
Great wee theatre. Brilliant show . Drinks very pricey though .
Edgar Mosa
Perfect small theatre for an immersive experience.
Kyle Jensen
This theater was showing the new production of Little Shop of Horrors when I was there. This production is basically flawless and I highly recommend it. I saw it pre pandemic with Jonathan Groff and post pandemic with Conrad Rickamora. The theater itself is wonderful. As an off Broadway house, it is intimate. The staff were wonderful.
David Watkins
I enjoyed Little Shop of Horrors with my daughter tonight and the show was outstanding and the venue did an exceptional job to ensure that all guests were vaccinated and knew the expectation to remain masked while in the theatre! Wonderful evening at Westside Theatre!
Melissa Butler
My first Broadway show in NYC!!! ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, and AWESOME!!! YA JUST GOTTA GO!!!
Aub Driver
Beautifully intimate off-Broadway theater! Not a bad seat in the house! Saw the Little Shop of Horrors revival there and it was terrific. Note, it's up a flight of stairs and has several steps within the theater. (Wear your mask. They're taking the laws pretty seriously, just FYI.)
avancuren
A substantial rise between each seat row makes for great sight lines and provides an intimate experience even in the back row of this 250-seat theater. We sat in the third row and felt we could shake hands with the actors. One of the few theaters selling refreshments before the show and at intermission. It has a ladies room and a gender-neutral room. This helps with the intermission crush for the ladies, but might make some men uncomfortable. No problem for me
AURIA MOORE
The show was great. I was surprised they didn't offer some kind of caffeine at the concession stand during intermission, coffee or espresso would've been nice. My husband fell asleep during the 2nd half. Very small theatre. Don't come here if you're very Covid cautious. They do require masks be with at all times, though.
Jan Scelsa
It was my first time back to NYC after Covid. What a great 1st show to see. All employees were very friendly and nice. Theatre is small , and not an empty seat. Everyone wore their masks. And ushers were checking if you didn't have it on, they told you to put on. We were all check for vaccinations as we stepped in the door. I felt very safe.
David Bailey
Had a great experience out on my anniversary with my partner of 3 years. Little Shop of Horrors was magical and ver entertaining. Acting and singing was phenomenal!
Bori WaHi
The Westside Theater is like entering a portal to the theatre of yesteryear. The wooden banister is just one of the many details revealing it's a theatre from an era gone by. Its location is great, just a couple of blocks west from the 8th and 7th Avenue lines. It's All Gender bathroom reminds one we're in the 21st century. The ushers were professional and scored high marks in Guest Relations. While the seating era is small, it provides an element of intimacy when viewing the actors on stage. So take the time to see a show there. You'll be glad you did.
Mafia Bugsy
A lovely place! I loved watching Little Shop of Horrors here, and I definitely want to go to more shows after this.
Zoltan Balogh
Show was fun, theatre is little but cosy. Great place to go!
Terrell Grisom
Little Shop was great!!! VERY different ending than the movie but, it was great!
Sophie Becker
This is a great theater in a beautiful building. I loved having the lounge to wait pre-show, as well as the all-gender restroom option. The step-and-repeat photo op was also a nice touch. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, and enforcing safety guidelines. Seats are a pretty tight squeeze, and my long legs did get sore.
This production of Little Shop was incredible. I was pretty devastated to see Jeremy Jordan was out the night I was there--no disrespect to understudy of course, but I'd had these tickets since pre-COVID and traveled from Chicago to see Jeremy, so I was disappointed. However, my disappointment faded quicker than I expected when the show began. Wonderful cast, beautiful set and staging, and just an overall fantastic experience. I highly recommend seeing Little Shop during this run!
Vance E.
went to see Little Shop and loved it. Cool old place that started as a church. Now that I've seen a show upstairs I want to go back when they do something down. Just super cool
Patrick O'Connor
Westside Theater is a nice little theater tucked snug between buildings. Not a large space, but easily used well by the shows in residence.
Be careful to make sure if your theater is upstairs or downstairs. Upstairs theater may be tough for handicap patrons.
Valerie Norstrem
Loved Little Shop of Horrors! Not a bad seat in the house
Kristin Knupp Owen
The cutest little theater! The performances and staging were fantastic. So glad we found this gem (thanks Jeremy Jordan!) we'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more productions here.
Jack Holden
Nice small theater. Fairly comfortable. Super friendly staff. Fantastic show. Can't be a bad seat in this place.

What an amazing theater and an amazing show definitely worth every every dollar we spent on this trip to See Little Shop of Horrors
RIV
Theater is small not a bad seat in the house. I have it 4 stars because you can’t take alcohol 🍷 you purchase there into the theater. Picture is from row e …
Tamar
Loved littlle shop of horros but theater seating was very cramped. I am fairly petite. Would NOT recommend for any larger sized people. Felt horrible for the man sitting in front of me.
Brian Thompson
A really nice, small theatre - a great place to see a show. We were 7 rows up and it felt like we were almost in the front row. Despite its size, the seats aren't super-cramped compared to other theatres I've been in.
matt bufton
Saw Little Shop of Horrors here. Great production at a great little theatre. Small and not a bad seat that I could see. Intimate and comfortable. I would return for another production without a second thought.
Fred Bertino
Timeless and funny. Never a bad show.
Aiden Steele
Absolutely amazing and wonderful experience. I highly recommend seeing Little Shop of Horrors.
pasta
I gave Christian Borle a drawing of himself October 5, 2021 the night I saw him. Stage door was closed and I saw him run into his fancy car, 3 whole yards away. He was the best performer to me, even though everyone was impeccable. Christian Borle is my idol.
Wayne Hind
Small theatre, great show. Little Shop of Horrors
Steven Smith
I love going to shows here. It's very cozy and quite comfortable. Every seat is a good seat :-)
Vetty TV
Such a sweet little theatre.
The production of Little Shop was amazing.
Christian Borle is hilarious.... Over and over again. 😉
And the street urchins are fabulous! 🥰 …
Marion
Cozy theatre with comfortable seats. Had a lovely time here.
Barney Simon
Intimate Historic Off-Broadway Theatre in the heart of the Theatre District. Let room is passable, better than most theatres in the area.
dan73nyc Alvarado
Little Shop of Horror is back!!! Located at a historical piece of Architecture wonder that once held members of the protestant church in the early 20th century!
Ironically, it now houses the greatest talents of Broadway with the magic of puppetry... Tony winner Christian Borle and Tammy Blanchard are amazing!!!
Travis Copeland
Cute little theater, not a bad seat in the house.
Cheysin41
The entire cast of Little Shop of Horrors was superb! We loved the intimacy of the smaller theater. Not a bad seat in the house!
Lori Lynne
Little shop of horrors rocked! By far best play I’ve seen in the big apple!
Jordan Salit
Great little theater. Close to the action on stage.
Bernadette Candelario
This was great theater. Chairs are small but cozy. The staff was great and it was really clean, organized and professional. I saw little shop of horrors and really enjoyed it.
Jerome Sprecher
A great little theater off Broadway; it has a nice vintage vibe and I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. Really enjoyed seeing Little Shop of Horrors there last night.
Elaine Griffin
A perfect, cozy little theater! I saw Little Shop of Horrors and the theater was so cutely decorated. The bar is of course pricey but that’s to be expected.
Robert Guth
Great show and staff . Just the seats are too close and no leg room
Rbuce uuu
Love the show felt like I was in the movie
Lynn Wyatt
Loved the lady on the door tonight, I was worried about about having the right covid certificates that I went early to check…. She remembered my sons name when I returned later.
Rest of the staff were great & friendly too 😁
c-c-c-carlos
Very fun show and venue. The staff was very kind to us, letting us in since we were stuck on the train for 30 mins and arrived late.
Donna L.
There are no bad seats in this theatre; the seats are comfortable and the view is fantastic wherever you are. They checked vaccine cards at the door and we were seated quickly.
Carol L
Little Shop was great and the theatre was small and intimate. However, the two box office employees were rather rude on the two occasions I bought tickets. They acted like talking to me was the last thing they wanted to do. After speaking to a kind employee on the phone who was super helpful, it was disappointing to feel totally unwelcome when I asked questions about the ticket limit, etc. at the box office. They didn’t care to help but rather responded, “I don’t know what to tell you.” I’m not usually a demanding customer, so it felt strange to be treated like I was being difficult. Hopefully others had a better experience.
nicolas farciert
I just passed by it but i would love to see it and ive memorozed the whole soundtrack and i watched the movie so i know its going to be good i love it besides all this 💚💚💚 …
eric abramovich
Attractive small theater. Clean and well kept with friendly staff.
I saw Little Shop of Horrors and enjoyed it immensely. Different ending but excellent cast of performers.
Andrew Tenhouse
If you can see a show here's absolutely do it! The productions are amazing and the intimate theater ensures you can see everything.
Lance Eustache
The performance of Little Shop of Horrors was killer! The venue itself is very welcoming. Thinking about coming back for a repeat performance!
Jamie Roman
We had a fantastic time seeing Little Shop of Horrors!
Alexandria Lane
We watched Little Shop of Horrors here. It was spectacular. Hilarious. The theater staff was absolutely stellar.
Adama
The show was beautiful. The performance was wonderful snd I would definitely go again top ser this talented cast. However I had to deduct one star for the unwelcoming lady at the enterance. When I arrived she did not greet me, but as soon as the family behind me entered a few moments later, she not only greeted them, but she also offered to take a photo for them. I felt very ostracized in that moment.
Britt Myers
Intimate place to see great theater.
Michael Gendron
Historic landmark building that used to be a church. Small, cozy theater. It provides an intimate, up close performance. Seats were comfortable, with good leg room. The outer area is plain and unassuming. Walking up to the theater on the 2nd floor was like walking up to your document's office. There is no atmosphere or decor. Outer area from the theater was the same. Inside the theater was nice, nothing dazzling. The seats were comfortable, with a fair amount of leg room.
Melissa Renee
So professional and sweet! The show was absolutely amazing and so we're the ushers! I can't wait to go back when covid goes away
Svet B
Great show: the other josh cohen. Atmosphear was great. Theater is small and very cozy. We had raw G seats 5 and 7, so its was very nice view. In seat 7 view was a little better because seat 5 had a column ahead which obstructs view of the stage for a few moments.
Robert Scheffler
Great theatre. We saw an amazing performance of Little Shop of Horrors starring Jeremy Jordan and Christian Borle.
Mitchell Weithorn
Let me preface this review by stating that James Cagney is flat out my favorite movie star of all time, bar none. That being said, I ordered tickets immediately when I got the email from Theater Mania. I was hoping against hope that this show would do justice to Mr. Cagney. Was I wrong, this show was beyond fantastic. The whole cast was amazing. I've seen many lavish productions on Broadway but this just blew me away. Not only did Robert Creighton look like Cagney, he sounded like him and best of all danced like him, stiff legs and all.
The book had some inside jokes/references that only Cagney fans would recognize. My wife kept asking me what they meant and told I'd explain later.
I cannot heap enough praise on this production, I can see this on Broadway running for a long time.
I would like to thank the entire production company for their hard work in presenting such a wonderful delight.
Laura Edelstein
Cozy, old world feeling. Two theaters...upstairs and downstairs. Intimate setting. I saw Daniel's Husband. A perfect setting for this serious drama. Every seat in the house is good due to the size of the theater. You won't be disappointed.
Thomas Kusch
Small and cozy theater. The seats are a bit low and have little leg room. The men's room is located in the basement with a rather steep staircase. One feels very immersed in shows due to the proximity to the stage.
Ednarita Elliott
It was great, and I really enjoyed the show!! I loved the flowers and things used as decorations, that was cool!!
Gina Harrison
Small intimate theater do every seat is great I would imagine. Saw Little Shop of Horrors, which was fantastic.
Brittany Jordan
I absolutely loved it!!! The theater was intimate enough to enjoy from any seat and the performance was incredible!!!
Jim Tambini
Small theater for off Broadway production-The Other Josh Cohen. Visibility was occasionally blocked by columns and temperature in the theater was cool. Also bathrooms were a flight downstairs. Overall theter and show were good given these shortcomings.
Alex Gross
Absolutely Incredible Performance Of Little Shop Of Horrors. Incredible space, location and cast. Another plus is that this is one of the last double decker theatres. Loved every second of my stay here.
Diane Oriente
On Wednesday July 6th, my husband and I owi attended the matinee
showing of Cagney the Musical at the Westside theater. We loved the
play. The performers were super talented and the story was interesting.
The Westside theater is in an old church , not too small and quaint. We had a fun time and would love to see more plays at this theater.
Itzmeagain
Theater is small so anywhere you sit you can see. Just the seats are a little cramped. if you must have your legs extended, not sure how you would do here

Excellent show. Nice small and intimate theater.

Small theater in Midtown for off-Broadway and comedy shows. Comfortable chairs with enough of a slope to not end up staring at the back of someone's head for the entire show. Small cafe and bar on second floor (near bathrooms) for pre- and mid-show snacks.
Jacob Ryckman
A small, comfy theater with great production value. They take wearing masks VERY seriously, which was nice!
Sam
We watched "Rated P For Parenthood" here. Great sound and comfy seating. It was a musical comedy that revisits the joy, hopes, pain, and suffering from conception to college based on the pragmatic parental perspective. The show was presented in a chronological order by two male (Chris Hoch and David Josefsberg) as well as two female cast members (Courtney Balan and Joanna Young) who have amazing vocals that enable them to interchangeably alternate their roles throughout the revue.
Injected with a big dosage of humor, director Jeremy Dobrish offers a detailed glimpse of the good, the bad, and the ugly of parenting through the wonderful rites of passage such as school transition, puberty onset, first job, sex education, prom date, driving experience, and college departure.
Whimsically charming, the creators turn the gig into an entertaining educational skit for audiences of all ages. Despite some pleasantly predictable sketches, I feel a tremendous amount of energy bursting out of every song. I almost tear up watching the mother singing a lovely "Prayer For Ellie" lullaby to sooth her crying baby to sleep. On top of that, my favorite number is the hip-hop rendition during the "Parent Teacher Conference" performed by the male actors.
Outwardly funny with simplicity, Rated P is the conventional symbol for contemporary parenting, whilst reminding us of the importance of familial functions. While on my way out of the Westside Theater, I noticed an abundance of smiling faces across cohorts. And of course, I was smiling :)
You'll love it!
Ira Lieman
Great little theater and the seats were reasonably comfortable! That's pretty uncommon.
Tegh Johar
Great atmosphere and staff, though when waiting for a show tonopen, it can get a bit crowded sometimes. We'll air-conditioned, decently comfortable seats, and good views of the stage. A pleasent experience overall.

I had an awesome off-broadway experience in this sweet little theatre. I love the cozy atmosphere and intimacy, the fact that you're close to the stage and the plays have different quality imo.

Had a wonderful evening with colleagues and watched Little Shop of Horrors. Outstanding cast and brilliant effects. The theater itself is a tad small for New York City, and felt a wee bit cramped (especially legroom) but nonetheless it was cozy and the front of house staff was very friendly and professional. Happy to return anytime.
Highlight was the quality of the performances.
Gerry DeSantis
Great Experience
justin cooper (Cooper Casa)
This musical is absolutely insane, I love it. Every single performer in this small show is so great! I have a special place in my heart for the dentist and he is beyond over the top. I hope it stays forever and that I can keep coming back to see it! Also really suggest grabbing a pie from little pie company across the street before the show-it will make you even happier!
Nancy Wong Shek
Westside Theatre is a great location for off Broadway shows. We recently watched "Little Shop of Horrors" last Sunday afternoon. It will be ending soon. We were excited to see how it would turn out versus the movie adaption from years ago.
Westside Theatre, there is stadium seating. We sat at the top, no seats or anyone behind us. Good view to look down and view the entire stage without distractions. Exits were noticeable, and bathrooms were small and cleaned. The show was upstairs. It almost felt close to walking in a house.
If there was another off Broadway show again, I wouldn't mind coming back.
Mark Masiak
Seats are a bit broken but the performance was excellent
Jeffrey Kraskin
Westside Theatre is a great off-Broadway theatre. The building was originally built in 1889 as a German Baptist Church. The theatre was opened in 1991.
Seating is very good but a little tight especially if you there in winter with coats and stuff. There is a very good lobby area.
Enjoy a show and visit the Westside Theatre.
Leezette Bethea

Small intimate Off-Broadway venue currently home to Little Shop of Horrors. This production is a MUST-SEE! It rivals any past or current Broadway production and is worth every cent of admission! Plan a visit to Skid Row and see how hungry Audrey II is!

I went to see Little Shop of Horrors here. Such a wonderful, intimate theatre. Decent amount of leg room, especially considering that it’s such a small venue. Seats were nicely inclined so that the heads of the people sitting in front of us didn’t affect our view.
Ed Erenberg
Very nice small theatre.
David Thomas Garren
