Reviews of Walter Kerr Theatre
A Nolan
We loved Hadestown so much when we saw it in October for our anniversary that we returned in January to with our 10 an 12 year old daughters. They are obsessed now. Picture on left is from January; right pic is October (both mezzanine). If this isn’t the best musical theatre show of the past decade (sorry, Hamilton and Wicked) then it absolutely is the best for the price. Unbelievable amount of talent all around. The cast are supremely talented.
But since this is a review of the venue itself, I can also report that whereas it may lack some of the amenities of larger theatre (legroom or a lobby), from an audience perspective you can’t beat the proximity to the stage. This theatre had a charm that the larger venues lack. Not a bad seat in the house (though can’t vouch for the apparently stratospheric balcony level). Yes, restroom lines are long but move quickly. Staff were efficient and friendly.
See this show!

I love these old gilded theaters. We went for a show recently and had the best time. The theater is fairly small, the seats are small and tightly together, but it did not bother us. Our seats were in the front section and they were perfect. We wore a mask the whole time and everyone had to have a current vaccination card in order to get in. The show was very nicely done in that small theater. I am always amazed when they lift and lower the stage floors for an impact, even in this small theater they used that effect several times. I would definitely go again if given a chance.

I won't mix the review of the theater with the review for the Play (which was incredible).
A wonderful experience at the Walter Kerr Theater! The line moved quickly, and the show started right on time.
The theater is fairly small so there isn't really a bad seat in the house, but I was front row mezzanine which was in my opinion the best seat in the house.
Sound was great, seats were clean and comfortable... I can't think of a single bad thing to say!

I came here last week to see Hadestown. It was absolutely beautiful and the Play was amazing. The staff at Walter Kerr are very helpful and respectful, and things moves pretty swiftly because of it. The leg room in the theater is nice however the seats themselves are pretty bunched up together and there isn't much space between you and the person next to you. Also in the orchestra the seats don't level up enough (like stadium style) so if someone is seated in front you there is a chance they may block your view. Overall it was a great experience.
Zarina
Very beautiful yet small theater. Saw hadestown today, and it was great. The seats are small and very tight. No leg space, so it makes it very uncomfortable.
Vaccination and IDs are checked upon entry. But definitely recommend.
Leah Kessler
I saw in the mezzanine section row D. The seat was AMAZINGGG! I could see everything. The only downside is the women a restroom is on the stage left and I was sitting stage right so to get there during intermission was difficult but the attendants kept the line moving and orderly. The theatre is just beautiful every detail on the walls, ceiling and stage.
Bryan Kelly
One of the most beautiful venues on Broadway. Built in 1921 and erected in only 66 days, this is a crown jewel example of classic theatres of yesteryear. My wife and I saw Hadestown this weekend and I can honestly say there is not a single bad seat in the entire theatre.
Bobby Benjamin
Went to see Hadestown here on 1/8. It was packed! The vaccine check is outside preventing exposure and there are frequent reminders to mask up. At intermission there were lines for the restrooms but they moved quickly. I didn't see any concession stands at the time, but I wasn't looking to take my mask off anyway. The merch counter on the first floor was open.
The show was absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend, and the theater is beautiful.
Glen Morris
Saw Hadestown there! This was an excellently produced musical with a fantastic cast and set! Some of the major things that stand out was their lighting and use of rotational flooring. A very unique set design that was able to display a lot of moving parts. The cast was exceptional and was really lovely to witness. Great job to everybody involved!
Kieran O'Gorman
We saw Hadestown. The theatre is nice to look at from the inside. We had a really great view from Row A of the balcony, so I was rewarded for only being able to afford the cheap seats :)
The show was excellent.
Gabriella
I saw Hadestown here which was very good. In terms of the theatre itself, there is a good amount of legroom, even in the front of the orchestra. However, I would not recommend sitting in the first few rows of the orchestra, particularly on the left or right sections, because the stage is so close that one loses the whole picture of the stage and must also turn their neck harshly. However, the mezzanine has very good views.

After seeing Hadestown in December, I'm obsessed! I still listen to the soundtrack every once in a while and it was the best experience I had while visiting NYC. I wish I could store the whole musical in my brain to rewatch over and over.
I laughed, I cried and it really moved me. No other experience in New York compared.
The theatre really built the tension and set the scene. It's older, but has so many moving components that add flair to the scenes. There's a particular scene where the walls open up and the walls seem to pulsate with energy. Hadestown is a crazy good show!
Kris Janiec
Had front row seats to hades town. Beautiful theater but front row is a bit lower than the stage so unless your super tall, you're going to be looking up the entire time. Also make sure to get your drinks before the show because in the intermission, because of timing, you only have time to either use the bathroom or grab a drink- not both.
Josie DiNovo
We went to see Hadestown here. The musical was incredible. But on to the venue.
The theater is very small, so we quite close to the stage even though we were seated in the front row of the uppermost floor. The sound quality was great.
The staff was also very friendly at the merch counters and helping everyone get seated. The line to get in was quick and efficient. There were regular reminders before the show to mask up, which I appreciated. Because the theater is quite small (and didn’t seem to have a lobby from what I could tell), navigating the stairs was sometimes challenging. The line for the men’s bathroom went up two stories and blocked my descent from the top floor to the bottom floor. However, the lines (for the bathroom, merch counter, and refreshments) moved quickly, so that seemed to clear up soon.
One flaw was that we needed to lean forward to see beyond the railing in order to see the front of the stage, so I am not sure I would recommend this particular seat to others. I have attached a photo of the stage as well as my view when sitting in my seat normally. Perhaps this is less of a problem for taller people, but I did spent the whole musical leaning forward just to see the action.

The Walter Kerr Theater is an absolute gem of a venue. I recently won a LuckySeat lottery and was able to see Hadestown at the theater, and let me tell you, the seats were amazing. I've been to my fair share of Broadway shows and I have to say, the Walter Kerr Theater has some of the best seats in the house. The view was unobstructed and I felt like I was right in the middle of the action. The theater itself is beautiful, with a classic, old-school charm that adds to the overall experience. I would highly recommend seeing a show at the Walter Kerr Theater - you won't be disappointed!
Paul De Leon (PhilNY11)
Typical classic theatre on Broadway. I'll give it a 4 coz Hadestown was a HELL of a show!! But tight legroom (not the worst tho) and orchestra seats are almost on the same level so if you have a tall person sitting in front of you, good luck. Just for your reference, my seat was in center N row. Also, stairway was so narrow so going to the restroom is so tough especially that you have people there lining up for the bar.
V King
Lovely theatre space. Hadestown is my new fav. Can't get the music out of my head and I don't want to. Will definitely see this production again. Perfection.
Calvin Cheng
Hadestown was a great show — that being said, I have had far better experiences at other Broadway theaters.
First off, the ticketing system is rather confusing and cumbersome, as the box office uses digital tickets exclusively. Having to create multiple accounts just to access one's tickets is certainly a subpar experience.
The seats were somewhat cramped, although in general there doesn't seem to be any bad seats — we sat at the end of the row and had no trouble seeing everything.
The concessions area was fairly poorly managed — the queue wasn't maintained well, and the attendants at the concessions were rather slow with keeping the queue moving.
Jess Andrews
Didn't seem like there was a bad seat in the house. Staff was very very friendly and helpful, especially when getting everyone through the restroom at intermission. The bartender was also funny and kind and made a tasty cocktail.
Hours after the 2pm matinee, I made the horrifying realization my wallet was missing. I went back to the theatre while they were busy seating the evening show. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in quickly locating the wallet I had left behind- all of the contents still inside!
G&L Motors
Just enjoyed the show Hades Town. Excellent performance by all the cast. Interesting choice of material. Far from the normal everyday musical the Broadway many times offers. Brought me back many years to New Orleans . Well worth seeing

We saw Hadestown at this theatre and it was amazing. Our group had done a Broadway theatre class with one of the members of the cast and it was great to see them on the stage once we saw the show. Great experience and would definitely do again!
Barbara Galbraith
Hadestown was fabulous!! We sat in Mezzanine and view from seats was fantastic. Seats are very small, so be aware of bringing large coats. Tight squeeze for adults sitting shoulder to shoulder. Bathrooms were clean and they helped direct flow of people to keep the lines moving.
Craig Hollid-Ausset
Saw Hadestown town there. The staff is super nice and helpful. Bathroom and drink lines move quickly and are very organized. The show was spectacular and shouldn't be missed!!

Following record-breaking runs at London's National Theatre and Canada's Citadel Theatre, the new musical 'Hadestown' just opened at Walter Kerr theatre on Broadway in New York. It is a love story and class-struggle parable based on the Greek mythology of Orpheus and Eurydice. Eva Noblezada, the young lady who performed as Eurydice probably had slight edge above the rest. Though the dynamic staging brings this old story to pulsating life, they could have easily made it a two-hour spectacle instead of stretching it to a two and half hour show. Working with a turntable floor, choreographer David Neumann created a striking array of visuals, particularly with hanging lamps. In short, the cast, costumes, lighting, sound, songs and orchestra were superb.
Sophia Zhou
Awesome theater. I watched Hadestown, from a last row seat in the mezzanine. Despite my seating I felt like I had a great view of everything that was going on. The stage looked a lot closer than what the photo shows. I had no problems recognising facial expressions, and the actors made a lot of effort to look upwards a lot.
Kylie
Hadestown was fantastic! The theater quickly got everyone inside and finding out seats went by quickly. Snacks were insanely overpriced but that’s to be expected.
That Oneguy
It’s nicely air conditioned, although seats are small, which is the norm for most theaters. The ushers were very nice, and the entrance was very easy to find. The small area next to the theater smelled like urine but it’s NYC and hard to control. The view from the front seats of the orchestra section was not very good, so book seats a little further from the stage. I saw Hadestown here, and I can say it very much deserves a tony. The acting was stunning and the small details really brings every thing together. The set was beautiful and really immersive.
Mahima Srivastava
Cute and beautifully decorated theater. Watched the hit show Hadestown and had a great time. Excellent view from box and orchestra where our seats were. Happy to see Broadway re-opened after a long break during covid.
Nancy Osborne
Do not choose seats in the mezzanine if you are tall or have had knee surgery. I had my ACL done three months ago and the seat was so tight it was misery. We were saved by a great theatre employee who reseated us. The theatre itself is beautiful, but the upper seats are only appropriate for about 5'4" or less. Also, there is only one bathroom for women and one for men so take it easy on the liquids. The production of Hadestown was fantastic!!!!
Misty Rogers
Saw Hadestown and it was great. All seats are good. We were in the very last row in the balcony and could still see well, minus the head if the tall guy right in front of me being directly in the middle of the stage - but a little stretching fixed that. A cup of pop is $9, a small can of Pringles $5. Do not come hungry!
Hope Abounds
Saw Hadestown here. In addition to raving about the show, our seats in the Mezzanine center Row C were better (for this show) than seats close to the stage in the orchestra. Plus try for the lottery!
Marta Antonelli
We got cheap last minute seats and they turned out to still deliver a good experience. Hadestown was lovely. My only grievance is with some of the people in the audience and their audacity to text on their smart watches during the performance--but clearly that has nothing to do with the show itself or the theater.
Michelle Reaves
Great venue, cozy and beautiful. Acoustics were good and it felt like there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. We sat in the balcony and had a perfect view.
Apiadve & Dionysius
Almost perfect through no fault of the theater. There were two people behind us who thought they were at another event: A boozy, talk while the damn show is on and kick the seat in front of you…
Notabene: maybe, management should re-think the selling of alcohol?
Who raises these animals? And why the heck don’t they stay out of civilized society?
The show, however was very good: “Hades Town”, a retelling of the myth of “Orpheus and Eurydice”.
Michele Maldonado
Hadestown was awesome!!!!! The theater really had great seats and visibility was great! The actors were so amazing and there singing gave us chills-A must see
Analiese Fammler
Hadestown! What can I say? My second time seeing this show and could see it every week if I could afford it! Seats are a little tight up in the mezzanine but visually,I can see the show well
Lawson Cope
Saw Hadestown and the musical was fantastic! As far as the theatre itself - we sat on the Mezzanine and the seats were a little cramped, also the staircases are not very accessible to people with decreased mobility. But overall great venue!
Cara Kosack
Was our first time in a US theatre. Staff was very efficient doing security checks and helpful finding seats...
Be aware if you are tall, better get an aisle seat, as leg space is small and sitting very low on the the chairs.
Atmosphere was amazing, the crowd was cheering non stop. An experience we will never forget.
Quality of actors and musicians was high... we saw Hadestown
Tracy Sperling
This is a beautiful theater with good seats and clear sound all around. The show was riveting with a great performance by Patrick Page. He did an amazing job as Hades with his resonating voice. I would see this show or visit this theater again when in NYC.
J C
Went here to watch Hadestown. We sat up in the balcony. The first row of the balcony had perfectly fine views. I think the second row would have a little bit more trouble seeing over the heads of the first row. I did have to lean over a little a few times when the actors went to the front of the stage. Glad we were able to see Hadestown.
Hilary Palmen
Stunning view from row D in the Mezzanine. Hadestown was wonderful, we heard and saw it all. Standing ovations!
LLOYD DAVIS
Beautiful stage, sound lighting. Acting and singing were 1st rate. Would have given 5 stars but seating was really tight. You in stadium seating configuration which is great for viewing but leg room is like being in no frills airline (won't mention which one) seat maybe worse. If you are a man of above average height or girth it's a tight squeeze. I will say the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the layout and the production itself. I really enjoyed seeing Hadestown there and would highly recommend you see it if you can!!
Peter Falco
This review is about the theatre itself, not Hadestown (which was great). The theatre is old but well-kept, but still very much in need of an update. The seats are small and leave foot/legroom to be much desired. The theatre is intimate with good viewing angles. The bathrooms are small and lines form and snake back into the stairs and out into the seating areas.
Bishaunti Poland
One of the best shows in town. Each and every voice you hear serenade you. Staff is very professional, House manager and assistant House manager two great people, that is doing an wonderful job running this show Hades Town. I recommend everyone to take time out to come see this show. Some of the greatest performers under the Broadway lights
jennifer zukawski
One of the most beautiful theaters I've ever been in and of course an amazing show in hadestown
Megan Rika Young
Went here to see Hadestown and it was a great experience. It's a small, intimate theater and the sound carries very well. Seats are comfortable but on the small side.
Holly Davis Borrero
Such a lovely and classic theater. We saw Hadestown, which is among the best Broadway shows we've seen (along with the original Hamilton cast). We sat row J 109/110 and had a great view and very good sound.
Mari
The theater is nice not too big but it's clean. Had a great time at the Hadestown show.
Jennifer “Jen-ay” S
The Walter Kerr Theatre is beautiful. My first time in this theatre and love the rotating stage.
Shaun Penton
The theatre itself is lovely, although a little old and tired compared to some. The show - Hadestown - was fantastic.
Alek Rivard
Was fortunate enough enough to see Hadestown here. While the show was 5/5, the theater earned that rating in its own right. The interior is lovely with a good view even while seated on the far edge of my row. I look forward to my next show here!
Ray W.
Excellent spacious venue. It has multiple auditoriums, like a movie theater, but for plays. The staff was kind and engaging. The bathrooms are spotless. The bartender was fast and accurate. They have a spectacular oolong cocktail that is a must-try.
David Morgan
Wonderful to see Hadestown here. A very intimate feeling theater, at least from the orchestra level. The lines for the orchestra bar and the merchandise are right on top of each other as there is little room for either but both seemed to work. Friendly staff making sure people were in the right lines.
Deano Deano
A beautiful theater in the heart of the theater district. My family and I watched Hades Town and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Angela Orr
It is an absolutely beautiful theater! The seats are steep and close together but it made for not a bad seat in the house! You are much closer than you expect to be! And the decor is gorgeous!
N A
Theatre is beautiful and intimate
DO NOT sit in the balcony seats. For a musical these seats are horrible. You can see the people very clearly but anyone walking downstage can’t be seen without leaning forward. Makes the whole experience very uncomfortable.
Ashley Romano
Hadestown was fantastic. My first Broadway show. Security was chill and line goes quick. There is no lobby and lines to restroom and merch were too long. The seating is extremely pressed together. I'm 5'6 and felt very squished.
Chris Quartly
Lovely theatre, had a great view even from the very last row at the top.
Amara Mountford
A beautiful theatre. Tickets were at a very affordable price. We booked directly with SeatGeek for $99 each for front mezzanine to the side. Drinks were quite pricey but worth it for the souvenir cup.
Maggie Carey
Hadestown was amazing. Staff friendly and professional. Bartender outstanding! Beautiful architecture.
shrey Patel
Saw Hadestown. Good stage and practical effects. No seats are bad because the entire theater is nicely sized
Phyllis Montgomery
Hadestown great show. Small theater. Seats orchestra N right had perfect view of stage but it looks like most seats would be good seats.
Master It Media (Maggie Carey)
Wonderful theater with amazing staff. It was a rainy night so the queue went Duan a covered sidewalk. Hadestown was a unique theatrical experience. The vocals, staging and music are brilliant! Must see for people who love love!
César J Maurás
Loved Hadestown. Great music and acting. Disappointing uncomfortable seats. I’m pretty tall; my legs fell asleep in the mezzanine. Not the first time this happens, but somehow I forget and keep at it. Kind of like flying coach. Oh well.
Divesh J
Saw Hadestown and it was an amazing experience. Really awesome show. Definitely recommend it.
Deborah
Efficient entry system. Normal older theater seats - crowded and not much for leg room, but not as bad as some. Try to get an aisle seat if you have long legs. Overpriced drinks, like almost all theatres. $17 for a glass of Pinot Grigio. Beautiful interior. We loved Hadestown. Act 1 better than Act 2.
David Morris
The theater is a bit cramped but that only adds to the intimacy of it. From any seat in the house you're only a few yards from the stage, really letting you get pulled into whatever show is going on. I was there for Hadestown and it was all done absolutely fantastically.
Jim Lester
I really loved this theater. Our college daughter took us to see Hadestown and we were in the last row. We were able to see and hear the performance perfectly. Highly recommend this theater and of course Hadestown!
Laura 91
Amazing went here for the Friday night showing of hadestown. The building is beautiful and comfy seats. Security was quick to get through everyone and cosessions had it set up that you could preorder and pay for food and drinks while in line. The staff were amazing so kind and helpful I would highly recommend
Ryan Bethune
Hades town was amazing, but the accommodations were lackluster. Seats are too small for tall and/or fatter people. There are only two bathrooms in the whole theatre as well.
Chase Will PoWer
Went to see Hades Town. The show was phenomenal however the seats were so small and uncomfortable. I'm 5'6, 185 lbs and I felt cramped in the seat. The older smaller couple next to me left at intermission they were also uncomfortable. The show was amazing but prepare for a tight fit with the seating.
Chris Rudolph
Very nice smaller theatre. Best seat are first row of the mezzanine, the are raised over the 5th row of the orchestra. Photo is row A seat 101.
Michael Candela
Hades Town is still the best show in town. Some of the cast is still the original and are brilliant. New people are just as great as the originals.
Charles Clampitt
The good: Cute older theater where we saw Hades town.the stage is well decorated and the views from the seats is good no matter where you sit. The performance deserves a 5+++ as the performers were amazing, the singing powerful, and the acting was some of the best I have ever had the privilege to see on Broadway. This is my 6 show in 2 weeks and the best or all I saw this past few weeks and possibility the best show I have seen in 15 years.
The bad: They have crammed in so many seats that it you are tall or larger then you will feel as if your legs are tucked back behind you. I am not very tall and am not a large person either and am in shape but I felt like the 7 foot tall guy driving a smart car with his 5 best friends in the same car. Either this theater was built when the average male was only 5'4'' at 100 lbs or the designers were maximizing Evey square in of space possible.
Andre Manar
This venue is very intimate, which enhances the acoustics, thus creating an amazing experience when watching a musical.
kevin guzman music
A very old but good looking theater, went to see hadestown and it was an amazing experience! I will say seating is a little tight if you're on the larger size FYI
Vincent Basquiat
yet another legendary NY theatre
A evening to remember.
Jane L
This theater is tiny. You will have zero leg room and the line for the bathrooms on the second floor goes down the stairwell, but it looks like most views of the stage are great.
For Hadestown, the main story is usually in the center of the stage so you won't miss much if you can't see the extreme sides.
Victoria Fazio
Watched Hadestown and it was great. Intimate theatre which is nice.
Lianne MK
Gorgeous theater, and Hadestown is a MUST see!
Singing Dane
Experienced the musical Hadestown at this Grand Theatre. VERY comfortable seating and excellent views and sound experience.
Jeremiah Josephsen
Seats were relatively comfortable, theater was clean and well lit. Bathrooms were clean. Space was a comfortable temperature.
Andrea Wong
Came here for Hadestown. The theater was tidy, elegant and cozy. Associates were so professional and helpful 💛 …
David R
Currently playing Hadestown might be my new favorite musical of all time. I laughed, loved, cried and raised a glass with the cast. Great space, so much emotion felt in every seat.
David Greenwood
For Broadway theatre. Toilets were managed much better . Some site line issues so encourage early booking
Nilma Maldonado
Good and accesible seats are a beat uncomfortable but overall a good place. Ushers very attentive and cordial security personnel not so much
O K
Very impressive performance and beautiful theater
Mary Atkinson
We seen a musical here and it was awesome. I would go there again.
Sara Norby
**Only a review of the theater staff, not the show or performers.** First, one of the box office personnel was very rude. Second, our seats were in the mezzanine, next to a staff door. During the WHOLE show, we could hear the staff carrying on conversations, laughing or opening and closing the door. We mentioned this to one of the "managers", but still it continued even in the second half. Not appropriate. Why pay facility fees if the staff ruin the show for you? Very disappointing.
James Tien
Great views from most of the seats, and the Hadestown is a personal favorite, so well worth a visit.
Jan Klein Poelhuis
Saw the almighty boss Bruce Springsteen perform in this theatre. Although that performance was fantastic, I found the theatre a bit outdated with a weird division of men and woman toilet and opposite sides of the theatre. Also I found the climate pretty uncomfortable during the show. It got really hot at the mezzanine level.
Despite that, sound and atmosphere are great!
Antonina Yekimova
Loved this place. Good seating. Small theater, so you can see stage well from the last row
Bill Blechingberg
Home to an amazing performance of what I call a pure musical theatrical experience unlike no other performance in town. In this case, it's: Hadestown
Dan Quine
Beautiful Broadway theater with comfortable seating and good views in most of the house
STEVEN QUAT
Bruce Springsteen was great. The theater was not so great. The seats were tighter together than a budget airline. I am just barely 6 feet. and my knees were touching the back of the seat in front of me even though i had to bend my legs and push my feet under my seat. For $400 really. I couldn't walk right for two days.
Crista Urena
Saw Hadestown here and it was a lot of fun! The show is so good! The bathroom line during the intermission was really long but handled so efficiently I was so impressed. The theater is beautiful and smells so good.
Kayla Newcomb
Really great staff!! Even with the COVID vaccine checkpoint and long lines getting into the theater, service was fairly quick and efficient during our Sunday matineé. Was also pleasantly surprised with how good my view was from the top level balcony. Loved seeing Hadestown and kudos to the cast and crew!
Rick Paton
Hadestown was incredible! A show that draws you in visually and audibly throughout! The theater itself is quite beautiful and intimate. The bartender was wonderful and engaging. I can't wait to be back!
Jenn Reidy
Tickets were a gift, so I can't say anything about the ticket purchase experience, but entry was easy, seats were reasonably comfortable and the staff knew how to direct people once the show was over to speed up the exit. We enjoyed the show we saw (Hadestown)! Typical to many theaters, there are probably not enough stalls in the women's bathroom, so I would not expect to use it during intermission as lines are long.
T. T.
The best seats in the house are the front row of center mezzanine.
Prinal R Patel
Hadestown is definitely in a league of her own. The two leads who play Eurydice and Orpheus did an outstanding job. They had amazing chemistry and I felt so invested in their story. The music, set design, cast and crew are Broadway at its finest.
Darla P
Lovely theater, fantastic show (Hadestown). Can order your drinks in advance and the snacks were pretty good.
lori lahman
Love this beautiful theatre!! Go! Support The Arts! Sound is excellent. Seats are comfy. Staff is marvelous.
gary smith
Wonderful Cast and Performances. Lilias White was exceptional as usual. Highly recommended
Kelly-Ann Baker
Such a beautiful theater! Comfortable and very intimate setting. Highly recommend.
Staff was wonderful. Security for Springsteen on Broadway was a bit unorganized because they'd rather speak to each other than make eye contact with patrons but very easy to get through.
yue
Been here for Hadestown, great show. Every seat is taken so it’s quite crowded. However, the staff make things run orderly so good experience overall.
Jeff Kirk
Usual congested Theatre. AC. Very small restroom - smaller than most Broadway houses.
John Preuit
Great theater and production. Loved the counter-rotating ringed stage!
thomas adams
Saw the show Hadestown.. Amazing show and sold out as it should be. Not 5 stars because seats were really tight. I'm 6 feet 4..Cramped otherwise excellent show and cast..
Dylan M. Franklin
Beautiful theater without a bad seat in the house! The mezzanine might be better than the floor.
M. Spassiani
Wonderful theater, staff is great, they usher all the ladies to the restroom at intermission.
Andrés Rodart
Nice theater close to Times square. Theater not so small so you will be struggling a little to see it from behind if you need glasses like me. Also sound is not as good as other theaters but that does not mean it's bad by any means.
Sha Greene
Had great help from the ticket agent in finding a reasonably priced aisle seat with a decent view. I really wanted to see Andre Deshields, but he wasn't there. The cast gave a riveting performance. I don't usually like musicals, but the cast was energetic and entertaining. The audience applauded throughout the show.
Sally Mitchell
A nice theatre where we watched Hades Town. A good musical & cool way to spend an afternoon whilst in the city.
Ciarán Magee
Easy to book online, great experience in the theatre! Show was amazing and staff great!
Kaitlin Lenaburg
Beautiful venue. Good lighting for the stage and seating was comfortable. A little on the smaller size; some of the bathrooms had to be accessed from upstairs, and the food/drink stand and merchandise stand were very close together.
Sibrina Subedar
We were there to watch Hades Town. The theater is pretty and the show was incredible. Toilets had a line but it was well managed and relatively clean
Jeffrey Applebee
Incredible show. Great venue. Not a bad seat in the house.
Vanessa Hoskins
The theatre was clean, the staff was polite and the cocktails were amazing. Best of all was seeing a sign that clearly stated the establishment's acceptance and welcoming of gender diversity.
We saw Hadestown and it was a mesmerizing experience. The production was top notch, with stunning visuals and technical effects that supported the production.
Gerry E
This is my second visit to this theater. The first one was to see A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder and now Hadestown. A smallish theater but you wouldn't know because of the caliber of the shows I have seen here. Very elegant setting for A Gentleman's Guide but transformed into this utilitarian style of design that perfectly matches the doom and gloom atmosphere of Hadestown. Concession stand and souvenir shop just behind the back row of the orchestra level. Clean bathrooms, very nice staff and ushers.
Daniel Madera
What a elegant and beautiful theater. The stadium seating ensures that every seat is essentially a good seat. I saw Hadestown here and it was wonderful.
G Collier
Nice theater. Bathrooms are not very convenient. The only bathrooms we could find are at either end of the building on 2nd floor. Staff are nice. Went to see Bruce. I found the staff running around with flashlights bothersome.
Jonathan Eyestone
Hadestown town was amazing but the theater is got to figure out the temperature, it kept getting too hot and too cold.
Tony G
Seats on the mezz are narrow and you might knee someone in the head when sitting, but the view is great
Kate McCoy
Shockingly, at least to me, I loved this theater. SO CUTE and absolutely gorgeous. Fairly big in comparison to others.
PAT'S PLACE
Went to see HADESTOWN. A simple MASTERPIECE!!!🎯💯💗💜🎭🎭🎭. Must see...a production worthy of the GODS. #BROADWAY #BLACKBROADWAY #THEATRE #HADESTOWN #TONYAWARD #LEGEND #MUSTSEE #GOSEE #MASTERPIECE …
Alisha Babar
Great theater. Not that big but still feels spacious. Saw hadestown and it was amazing.
Jim Gilmour
Hadestown is a fantastic show. Great writing, musicians phenomenal, singing fabulous, choreography perfect and utilizing the intriguing set design fully. Theatre is very nice. Only trick is intermission bathroom break is orderly, but overrun.
tony purp
Great place. Seats around 900. Saw Bruce Springsteen on Broadway there. Great show. Seats were a little tight. But had a great sound and I don't think there's a bad seat in the theatre.
Jennifer Rao
Fabulous Acoustic - Beautifully Designed - Art Deco Chandeliers - Currently: Amazing Sets for Tony-Award Winning “Hadestown”!
David Warren
Fantastic theater! Not a bad seat in the house. Saw Hadestown. Fantastic!
Bethany Lynn
Saw Falsettos here last night. I chose a seat in the second row of the mezzanine because I was told by someone who had seen the show previously that the orchestra seats are not elevated much and it would likely be easier for me to see in the mezzanine. My seat was amazing, I could see absolutely everything, however I was extremely uncomfortable the entire two hour and forty minute duration of the show. I am a slender female and only 5'5 and I felt as though my seat was too small. My knees were practically in the back of the person in front of me and I couldn't move an inch without disturbing the people next to me. The theater was also freezing cold and in a pair of jeans with two pairs of leggings underneath I was still shivering with goosebumps and shouldn't have been. Otherwise the theater is beautiful. Falsettos was INCREDIBLE, with a flawless cast.
Jude
It’s beautiful!! I saw hadestown there and it is spectacular and such a sensational show
chris wolfe
What a beautifully renovated theatre! Very intimate with no bad seats. Whatever plays there will be worth seeing!
Tim Claybaugh
Great theater! Tight space, but overall good. We had a good view of the stage from the second floor. The workers were very kind and helpful. The theater design seemed to maximize the usefulness of each area. The stage design was super neat in how it helped complement the Hadestown performance so well. A great show in a great theater! I would definitely recommend the experience for others!
Evan Turner
Saw Hadestown, not a lot of leg room but overall was lovely!
Latrice Darrell
Almost all seats are good seat. Here is the view from Mezzanine Center, Row H, Seat 102! Great view to see Hadestown!
Vee Yeo
Went to see Hadestown at this theatre and can I just praise the staff? They are so well organized and control traffic flow amazingly. They are also amazingly helpful and the theatre itself is so beautiful and classic. Had a fantastic time and huge thanks to the staff for their competence and expertise.
Janice Dorrington
Incredible show Hadestown! Lovely theatre, great acoustics and view of stage.
Tim B
Small theater right in Times Square. Do to size, all seats fine as nothing is far away. Beautiful architecture but dated physilty so not many bathrooms or concessions. Hadestown was spectacular. Both story and music. Loved the band as the band onstage with actors. Wonderful.
Katiana Michalski
went to see Hadestown... what a great show, modern dance style mixed with jazz... made for a great play... as for the actual venue it was clean and organized.. row ushers had their A game on... my only complaint would be how "tiny" the seats were. I sat in the balcony and my family and I are tall our knees were almost touching the row infront of us. Other than that everything was great. Drinks from the bar were strong and tasted great.
David Sheffield
Great small theater. Love seeing show in that size theater. One problem there is no leg room. The Broadway experience.
Taylor Blum
Nice theater! It's definitely small and a little cramped, hence the 4 stars. Hadestown is absolutely superb though and I've seen it twice. I would give the show a full 5 stars!
Sean K
The staff, from the box office to the ushers, are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. One in my party was using crutches, and they took them after showing us to our seats and brought them back immediately at intermission and the close of the show. Hadestown is my daughter's favorite show, and it's difficult to separate my love for her and joy at seeing her joy from the overall experience. But Hadestown is a modern retelling of an ancient story presented in a historic theater. It really is an amazing setting.
Brooke Pascarella
Beautiful theater, friendly staff, efficient seating and exiting. Not to mention an exceptional show (Hadestown)!!
Sally Mitchell
Along with being a beautiful theatre, there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. Unlike at other theaters, if a tall person sits in front of me, I can still see the action on stage. Minimal legroom is the downside, but considering that I went there to see a show as opposed to, say, doing yoga, this is not a terrible thing, given the good stage visibility. Love this theatre!
Katherine Kovac
Such an amazing intimate venue for Hadestown. Only two restrooms, but the attendants worked fast. Loved the small nature of the theater and how close you are to the cast and stage.
Ed Reggi
I saw Hadestown in this nice theatre. The theatre itself is a little dated but that didn’t impact my experience.
Phil Knutson
Gorgeous theater! Loved Hadestown. Seats were on the balcony in the third row and we saw everything so well.
Tariq Khan
Went for Hadestown and thoroughly enjoyed the show and the theatre. Like most of the Broadway theatres, the seat are a little cramped and you're almost on top of each other, but we had a front mezzanine with a great view. Access to and from the seats was easy and while the bar is rather small, the staff was great and efficient.
Tarun Gupta
A beautiful theatre with an old world charm. Hadestown is worth seeing
Julia Preston
Kind of small and the bathroom lines get long bc there’s only one accessible of each, but they get through the whole thing every intermission so it wasn’t a big deal. besides the tight quarters i really liked this theater, the staff was very nice unlike some others i’ve been to, and the show was fantastic. we sat right mezzanine third row from the bottom and the view was fantastic.
Corinne Kahn
Wonderful staff. They made following Covid protocols easy and desirable. Bring warm clothes as the theater is cold during the performance.
David Vega (Tridence)
Outstanding and classic Theatre. A favorite Broadway show in nyc.
Dylan St. Clair
Smaller theater than usual, but makes for great seats all around. Sound is top notch as well and friendly staff.
Jeff Martin
Fun time watching Hadestown. Gotta be a way to make more comfortable chairs
Meg Savlov
An exquisite jewel of a theater, perfect for an intimate experience of a great play ( Hadestown). Greeted graciously by door staff and box office.
Andy Baxter
An amazing night with a consummate performer. Can't say I'm the world's biggest Bruce fan (I'm married to one of them though) but this was by far one of the most enjoyable musical performances I've been to.
Amazing voice, some great stories, humor and music.
Well worth checking out.
David Alexander
Long lines to small restrooms during intermission. Didn't have time to buy drinks/snacks before second half. Next time do the refi in reverse order :)
Eric Hepler
Visited here to see Hadystown. The theater had an old school charm. Seats are tight though.
Comfy Chris
I saw my first Broadway show here, the 2009 revival of “A Little Night Music” staring Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta Jones. I sat in the orchestra, nice theater.
William McCurdy
Very nice small theater. Great sound and sight lines. No lobby, just open the door and go to your seat. Tiny bar in the back.
Amy Carlson
We enjoyed the fabulous Hadestown. I cannot say enough kind and exciting adjutives about the show and efficient admittance. The exit however felt like a mass evacuation. The cast had just reminded the audience the benefits of donations and souvenirs to be purchased and then the crowds were directed out like they were herds of wild horses with no clear indication of where to safely buy the souvenirs and urgency to get past the doors where the donations were being collected. My daughter had a great time until our exit when she became anxious with the whole process and frustrated with where to go to keep from being shouted at as our party was divided. I understand they need to safely empty the building but it could certainly be handled with more decorum.
J T
Oh, what a delight! This theatre is stunning, well run, and in a great location. We saw Hadestown here and it could not have been better. I wish we lived closer because we would love to go back!
Katie French
We visited in February to see Hadestown. The venue is lovely and had a great view even from the back of the orchestra level.
We had seen Hadestown on tour, where the set elevator was located under the stage balcony vs being a hole in the center of the stage as it is at this venue. So if you have anxiety about people standing on the edge of an opening, especially in the dark and fog, be prepared.
We had purchased wheelchair accessible seating as I use a mobility device. We received emails in advance of the show date, asking for clarification on our needs.
There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the orchestra level, on the left side of the seating area. The door even has a power open/close feature, so you don't have to fight a heavy door while trying to maneuver a chair/scooter/walker.
Everyone we encountered at the venue was very friendly and helpful. The security staff assisted us in getting through the check-in and vaccine check process and let us in at the doors opened so we weren't having to fight the crush of the line. All the ushers we met made sure we knew where we were going, helped tuck my mobility device in a safe area, and brought it when required.
Margaret Sanchez
A very gorgeous theatre and worth it to finally see Hadestown. My (now) fiance had been tracking the show since 2018 and now that we finally got to see it we saw how amazing the architecture was. He even proposed to me in front of it.
Ester Zocche
Sits very tight but the musical was beautiful
Ronald Friedman
Classic Broadway theater. Not much more to say. Old, established - to appreciate this venue, you need to be appreciative of the classic Broadway theater with its plusses and minuses. If you don't care but want modern comfort and conveniences, take off a star.
erin ardern
Great night here watching hadestown. Staff were great and helped me (a total newbie who'd never been down broadway before) find my way around with super clear instructions. All made for a fantastic evening- check out a show there if you ever get a chance, highly worth it!
Julie Mills
Gorgeous theatre, the most intimate setting I've ever been in for a Broadway production. Comfortable seating and a super friendly and helpful staff. It was an awesome experience.
Reina
It was a great show, Hadestown. Great, great musical! The theater though, it was good. The bar was closed, assuming bc of covid. I noticed some people brought water bottles but I would check before you go to the theater. The theater was beautiful with lots of details. The staff were nice. The only downfall would be organization of getting in and out of the restrooms. The (ladies) was awkwardly designed so it made t he flow of in and out a bit difficult. But the show was worth it all!
Brendon Holtzman
Hades Town was amazing but the theater made me feel like I giant. It was well run, clean and the staff was great. However, as an average height, weight, and build man I felt super cramped in my seat. Not just brushing elbows with your neighbor but brushing shoulders and knees too.
Katherine Porter
Firstly, I have only good things to say about the staff and the show.
However I did not like this particular venue at all. There was no lobby, only crowded stairway and aisle so if you got up to stretch your legs, you were in everyone's way. Bathrooms were not accommodating so the line was ridiculous...perhaps that is why there were no refreshments being sold at all (I would have paid $10 for a water, I was so thirsty).
Leg room was the worst I've had out of probably 25 theatres I've been to. (I'm 5'10" and my sons that were with me are 6'2"+, so the people infront of them were hitting their heads on my boys' knees and then seemingly annoyed at them for having legs...real tight seating all around. Don't bring extra stuff! ( Except maybe a pocketful of water!)
I don't want to be all negative so I will say great show, great staff, great view from anywhere.
Ken Feucht
Great show. The sound and sight lines were good. There is zero leg room in either mezzanine, which lead to sever discomfort in my knees about halfway through each act.
Charles Curley
We saw Hadestown here and it was a fantastic show! I don't think there is a bad seat in the place although I did not go up to the third level. Drink prices are a crime but same with all shows it seems.
Ravi Jain
I felt like there was a problem with the acoustics, but besides that the theater is awesome! Be warned, if you want to use the bathroom or get a drink, you have to get up as soon as intermission begins or you WILL be waiting upwards of 10-15 minutes.
Ken Aponte
One of the smallest most intimate stages on Broadway. Great sound and not a bad seat in the house.
Jenielle Bailey
The seats were fairly comfortable although not a lot of space. The production I saw here of Hadestown was beautifully staged and the performances were fantastic!!!
Eileen Saccoccio
Beautiful Theater any where you sit is a good seat.
Barbara Schlais
We saw Hadestown here in November, and it was amazing. The theater was smaller than we expected, but that was to our advantage. If you need to go to the bathroom during intermission, get up and go right away, the line gets very long.
Alyssa Clapp
Seating was pretty comfortable for a Broadway theatre. Never enough bathrooms.
Thomas Mangum
Beautiful old theater and as such super cramped seats and few bathrooms made for a less than prime experience.
Jérôme Bourgade
Went there to see hades town. Great show. Beautiful place. Drinks, especially cocktails can be very expensive.
adrian51gray
Review is mainly for Hadestown - absolutely amazing show - great singing and dancing even for someone who wasn't sure they would enjoy such a show - I'm a convert! Hope the same cast come to London soon.
WC Evangelista
The show great. But the seat was extremely uncomfortable. 5' 11 and my knees were in so much pain I had trouble getting up for the intermission. One of the ushers saw me struggling and asked if I needed help. Fortunately, I shook it off.
Aaron Opell
We saw Hadestown here and it was a great venue for a great show!
Kayla Taylor
Absolutely loved Hadestown, but the theater wasn't very comfortable. I'm 5'9, and I had absolutely no leg room despite sitting in the orchestra section. The staff were great about enforcing COVID-19 protocols, but the merchandise stands were incredibly understocked given the popularity of the show.
Reggie Sutphen
Hadestown was an otherworldly experience. By far my favorite Broadway show. No matter where you sit in the theater, your seat is an amazing one. The theater is easy to navigate and so, so beautiful. Only complaint? Seats are very small and cramped together. But if you can handle this, I suggest you see a show here.
Thomas
Hadestown is one of the top musicals of all time! Definitely go see it. The original cast is phenomenal!
Nicholas DeRosa
Small theater, can get very tight, but great staff.
Kyle Jensen
A beautiful and historic Broadway theater. Not a bad seat in the house! When I attended, it was home to Hadestown which everyone should see immediately. The staff was courteous and ensured everyone followed COVID guidelines. Theatre is back! Buy tickets!
Casey Hammond
Saw Hadestown here, sitting in the balcony, still an amazing show. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the audio assist devices worked great as well.
Timm McIntosh
Sat towards back of the mezz, second row from the back. Absolutely wonderful seat. Adequate leg room, and the angle of the seats made for an incredible view. Would absolutely sit there again.
Mike Rocklin
Nice theater, but boy were the drinks ridiculously over priced
Jay Shifman
Beautiful theater. Ornate. And the acoustics are A plus! It's a tad cramped. Just a heads up. Im small (5'6") and I felt cramped. So if you're tall this one isn't going to be super comfortable. But otherwise a fantastic theater to see a show.
Sierra Bishop
The show Hadestown was amazing but the theater itself was awful to sit in. It was worse than a Spirit Airlines flight. There was no kind of leg room. Everyone was packed like sardines. It was incredibly uncomfortable to have to sit there for the entire show.
John Naughton
Older but quaint. Not a bad seat in lower level
Utkrisht Shah
A must watch show. The characters are lost deep in their role and couldn’t have asked for a better performance. Bravo
As with all the broadway shows spend a bit more and get the orchestra seats they are worth the extra money and since you probably wont see the same shoe twice, its better if you get good seats.
Shoutout to the old dude playing the character of hades everything from the voice to the dialogue was mesmerizing
Anthony Mejia
Intimate theater. Hades town was amazing, especially Hades and Orpheus. Would highly recommend.
Brian Christiansen
Loved the theater and the performance. The only difficulty is there isn't much room between rows. It was challenging for someone who is not so agile any more.
Marcia McCullough
The theater was beautiful and clean. The play Hadestown was THE best play I have ever seen. Actors and their voices where outstanding!
d martin
The performance was excellent and had quite and extended standing novation,
Meg Greene-Smith
Beautiful theater and Hades Town was amazing! Be warned, if you are 6ft or taller or are overweight, the theater seats are a challenge.
Copperfox 21
Hadestown is an amazing show and the theater is absolutely beautiful. I will definitely come back again.
Spencer Shiley
Seats themselves are tiny (and I'm not a huge guy), but the A/C was super cold, and the show was amazing!
Can You Escape? LI
Beautiful theater. Not too big, not too small. Staff is nice.
Windy Dixon
Beautiful theater. The bathroom is in a weird place though. Like halfway up the stairs making a weird line up before and after shows.
Maegan Douglas
Very comfortable atmosphere. Great shows! Seats are narrow so if you prefer a lot of space, book a seat in the box.
Byron Brandon
Saw Hadestown here just prior to the pandemic. Back in town to see it again. Great show, great theater, great staff
Dionne Chen
No such thing as a bad seat!!
Lou DAmico
This theater is beautiful inside. The show, Hadestown, was very good. The cast was perfect, the show was great. Would definitely check out another Broadway show here.
Scott S
Amazing performance, and a great theater. The staff was very cordial and personable while getting everyone to their seats quickly and explaining the COVID protocols clearly. If you have a chance, check out this show (HADESTOWN) and theater.
Kathie ODonnell
Lovely clean theater. Can't go to NY enough!
Charlie-Marie Podgorsky
Beautiful theater, efficient bag search, helpful and friendly ushers and wonderful show (we saw Hadestown).
Saundra Brengel
The theatre and show are great. Loved the architecture
susan rickards
Very intimate theater, don't think there is a bad view anywhere! Cramped seating, but not bad. Saw Hadestown there, GREAT show, the staff were very nice!
Clare Cashen
The show's choreography was great, but I have to give it to the ushers for outshining the performers. They had that women's restroom line MOVING
Ronald Vorce
Very pretty & intimate theater with VERY uncomfortable seats. Hadestown was a decent show but Eva Noblezada shined head and shoulders above the rest of the principal cast.
Nicole Motahari
Hadestown made us laugh, cry and my heart was so full! The ushers were very clever in their traffic direction!
Susan Levey
Great to go back to Broadway. Saw Hadestown and recommend it highly. Theater had a good process to check vaccination status. The cast was just as happy to see the audience.
Alysha Edelman
FANTASTIC! Wonderful theater! Awesome staff!!! Hadestown was INCREDIBLE!!!!
Brendan Brady
We had a great view even from the Balcony. My only complaint was it was very hot in there. Other than that if you dress appropriately it’s a nice place to see a show.
Alicia Williams
Beautiful venue, excellent view of entire stage in any seat and fantastic show!
Hanna Lee
The unforgettable night seeing musical “Hades town”
Michelle Burge
Had the pleasure of attending "Hadestown". A lovely theater with great parking options.
Kristen Walsh
I saw Hadestown here. The staff is helpful, the seats are small. I was directed to the bathroom to refill my water bottle. There are three bathrooms: men's, women's, and accessible (for one person).
Pablo
Saw Hadestown recently. It’s hard to understand how you sell food like if it were a movie theatre, and after expensive tickets, I had to sit through the whole show listening to a bunch of teenagers rattling through snack bags throughout the whole show. Increíble
Richard Lear
This is such a beautiful, old theater. And if what you're seeing is something as wonderful as Hadestown, how can you not be in heaven.
Grace Hardy
Absolutely gorgeous theatre with amazing staff. Everyone was so kind and honestly I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Would absolutely love to return for another show!
Dr. April Jackson-James
Absolutely Amazing Performances. The energy in the theater was electric. Built in 1922, the building had my old self wishing for an elevator but the experience out shined the discomfort. I love New York.
Sidney Fowler
Ok, the theater is lovely and historic. The architecture is great and the theater seating is arranged so that you can get a clear view of the stage.
The bad, if you have a bigger build, the theater seats are pretty cramped.
Bruin Cub
Absolutely owning theater, very clean, welt kept beautiful infrastructure and the performance was incredible. Extremely spacious for a broadway theater. Very impressed!
Carol Sharkey
Went here to see Hadestown. Not only was the show fantastic, the staff was wonderful.
Martin Uhr
We were watching Hades Town. I am not a musical expert but I liked it a lot.
Steve Beltis
Really enjoyed this theater, and the production of Hadestown. Seating is steep, so elderly patrons need to be aware of the stairs.
Joseph Fellows
I went here on my honeymoon to see the critically acclaimed Hadestown. The theater itself was beautiful! The seats were way more stacked than I had imagined. This was my first time on Broadway. I imagined that some seats would be much worse, but we were on the top balcony and could see everything perfectly! It didn't seem like there was a bad seat anywhere. Rather than close and far seats, it almost felt like ground level and high up seat. It was a beautiful tight, and spacious place. Quite magical. Highly recommend both the play and the theater.
Raymond Ortiz
Phenomenal location, what a theater should look like.
Ira Gershenhorn
Lovely theatre. Why only two bathrooms?
Nereida
So beautiful. Seating feels a bit tight, exits are easily accessible, bathrooms are clean.
Heather
The theater itself is comfortable enough. The restroom situation is a little crazy but the ushers direct traffic pretty well and the lines go petty fast.
austin antle
Amazing theatre with an awesome staff. Hades town is an awesome musical with one of the most talented casts on Broadway
Attention Please
Great old theater.
Peter Powell
I had great seats in the front of the Mezzanine for Hadestown
Dustin Beadle
Nice theater, but not the one I searched, i went to the Book of Mormon at Eugene O’Neil nearby.
Too bad google asked me to review this during my review bombing of russain businesses to share whats happening during the Ukraine conflict.
Best regards to the WKT staff.
John Schnell
This is the cutest theatre so far in my experience on Broadway. Saw Hadestown here, and loved it. This theatre runs a little cold, which I loved, but wife was fully bundled.
Peter Kurtz
Seats are narrow. Some seats have a partially obstructed view.
eric abramovich
Hadestown is one of the best shows since Les Mis and Phantom! Orpheus/Peter Parker should be put out to the pasture. I think he needs a different job, maybe work the lighting?
Despite this, I absolutely loved the show!!!
Achim Klee
Historic theater providing a great atmosphere. Good view from pretty much any seat and it felt close to the stage.
Libby Conn
Beautiful theater. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms.
denise kritzman
Stunningly beautiful theater! Seats are, like most, reasonably small, but a tiny bit better in terms of leg room.
We had the opportunity to see "Hadestown" and it was insanely good! We both LOVED the show!! Highly recommended!!
Angelo Langadakis
It was a very good performance The stage will set up write the music It was fantastic and the theam still give you Goosebumps after 2500 years
Kristi Hendrick
Our family came to celebrate my daughter's birthday and we were not disappointed! Fantastic performance! Thank you to the many talents that put this show together!
Scott Somers
Not as good as some but still a beautiful theater.
Felix De León
Beautiful theatre! Friendly staff. There is only one bathroom, but they wait until everyone is seated before the second act starts.
Flaviu Comanescu-Balla
Intimate theatre and awesome shows. Hadestown was amazing!
james bond
The theater is quite cool walking in. The way the seats are designed you can easily get someone too tall sitting in front of you blocking the view but the show we saw was awesome and the staff super helpful
Allen Gilmore
Only one bathroom. Upstairs. Long lines. No water fountains. With all the great actors in Broadway history, why name it after a critic?!?
Don Branca
Music Man...most entertaining play have seen...coudos to cast and crew...do well done.
David Clarke
Gorgeous and intimate theater. Great views.
Alan Dubin
Beautiful theater dating back to the days when going to the theater was considered elegant! I just saw Hadestown which is an awesome musical based on the story of Opheus and Eurydice.
Linda Pizzotti
As a physically challenged person, I've never been so accommodated at a theater. They let me in a separate entrance and brought me a chair, without my even asking. They get all the thumbs up
Joe Norton
Hadestown was great. Very exciting. Very energetic.
Ben Beck
Great theater with very comfortable seats and more leg room then you normally find at the Broadway theaters.
Justin M
Relatively small theater but really nice, nonetheless. Saw hadestown here and it was fantastic. The stage setup was simple but worked really well. As for the theatre - which the review is about - the sound was great, the ushers were very nice. No complaints.
Vance E.
Loved the space and the house crew. We went had an opportunity for standing room "seats" and the view was awesome. Not for everyone, but if you can stand still for two hours and want to be very close to the bar at intermission well this could be the bargain for you. Also if you happen to spot an empty seat after intermission you are welcome to sit. This standing by opportunity was excellent.
Stephen B
It was really packed, but they were able to keep things moving. The people working there did an amazing job.
Ian Brickl
Really nice mid sized theater with great ambience and acoustics. Lower mezzanine has steep gradient which means you need to watch your step but everyone gets a great unobstructed view, we were in the first row left first mezzanine and felt really close to the scene. Upper mezzanine looked like it would be too far away for our taste. We saw Hadestown which was exceptional, well worth seeing with original broadway cast at this theater as some of the lead voices as heard on the soundtrack are so unique would be hard for others to match and the staging and effects were spectacular but will also be difficult to match at other theaters
Corey Shaker
The atmosphere here was outstanding and the food delicious.
Dian Killian
The staff are so friendly and helpful here and it’s a beautiful theatre with great seating options - almost every seat offers a good view.
nancy hendrickson
Like many a NY theater, seating is not the most comfortable. Best to look around and see just how lovely the theater is and how wonderful the stage mechanics are that allow for emerging from the underground or being drawn down into it. Just what was necessary for the most enjoyable Hadestown. Fun story and the most wonderful joining of voices I have heard in a while. Stunning solos, stunning harmonies, excellent on stage musicians, I don’t think I can conjure up enough admirable adjectives. Nor would I be able to say one performer outshined another because every time a mouth opened pure heaven emerged even though you might actually be down below😊.
Andre Begneaud
Beautiful art deco theater from the 1920's
Unfortunately the people from that era must've had tiny legs because I am 6'2" and by intermission my legs were hurting. Did Maxfield Parrish do the murals? Very charming just a little cramped
Susan Lewis Paciga
To start with, we saw a fantastic show, Hadestown, so it really doesn't matter what you theatre was like. The seats are small and set closely together, but that's what happens in the mezzanine. If you want better seats, you have to pay for them.
We had absolutely no trouble seeing the stage. The energy in the theatre was electric.
And did I mention Hadestown? It was so much better than I expected, and I expected a LOT! I'd go back tomorrow if I could.
Robert Turner
View from the very top is just as good as orchestra level.
Santiago Molina
One of the most amazing experiences of my entire life. Went to see Hadestown and cannot possibly recommend it enough. The sound and stage was top quality
Livia Cahill
A beautiful theatre!
Maureen
Probably smallest theatre in Manhattan but if Springsteen is on stage it is FABULOUS.
Elizabeth Hernandez
A small intimate theater with good views from any seat.
Anne Ciskanik
Beautiful theater and really lovely staff. Very helpful and friendly.
John Person
Nicely restored older theater with a very intimate vibe - I think it's the smallest of the Broadway theaters. I'm giving it only 3 stars due to the fact that the seating is tight; I'm over 6 feet and there wasn't enough legroom. Otherwise, a delightful venue. Parking is easy with a hotel garage next door, reasonable fees for midtown NYC.
Tim P.
Perfect venue for an up close experience with the show. We saw Springsteen on Broadway here and loved it. We were in the middle of the upper mezzanine and still felt like we were close enough to see every expression on his face. Bathrooms are easy to get to and the entire facility is clean and well kept. I would recommend seeing any show here.
Daniel Adams
The Walter Kerr Theatre was first known as the Ritz Theatre from 1921 to 1990. In 1990, the theatre was named after Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Theatre critic Walter Kerr by the Jujamcyn Theaters. It is not the largest venues on Broadway, but it’s one of the older ones. The Walter Kerr was opened in 1921 and has a seating capacity 975.
The Walter Kerr theater has seen many successful Broadway productions on its stage. The likes of Amélie, Springsteen on Broadway, The Crucible, Falsettos, The Testament of Mary; A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder are a part of the recent and most successful commercial shows on its stage!
The last show that was played there was Hadestown. It left me seriously impressed and I find it one of the main candidates for the Tony awards. The main characters are presented in a cool, modern way. Orpheus is the typical frivolous musician, thinking only of sing and song. Eurydice is the typical girlfriend of such a guy that at one point choses security. Hades and Persephone are presented as a traditional rich couple that has been together for a while and have grown tired of each other. There’s the arc of redemption, with Orpheus going to Hadestown via train (that was a very cool moment). His “negotiations” with Hades over Eurydice and Hades’ task. Meanwhile she has found out that the golden cage is still a cage and wants her old life. The ending makes me rather sad (people are whispering “Stupid, stupid Orpheus”. Still, there’s always hope.
Pamela Morley
Such a beautiful theatre that is currently showing an AMAZING show!! I highly recommend everyone to go see Hadestown!!
Steve Gagne
Old theaters are not always the most roomy and comfortable - like this one. But they are often beautiful and full of charm and character - like this one. Not very large, creating an intimacy that was perfect for the Springsteen show. No lobby. You walk through the door and you're in the seating area. Cramped seating is my only real complaint.
Bran Camp
Stunning intimate theatre. Most recently saw Hadestown here, and it was the best musical I have ever seen.
Wes Henson
The musical was wonderful. I highly recommend Hadestown to anyone. However the seating offered very little leg room.
Zhao
The theatre was a clean and had all the old charm, which paired well with the show. Hadestown was so much fun. It was upbeat, funny, and tragic. I highly recommend it to anyone who want to hear great band and powerful music!
Chris Cordes
Quaint older NYC Broadway Theater. The chairs are comfy and have a good view of the stage. However they are a bit on the small side- nothing horrible, but definitely not roomy and spacious. The bathrooms are on the second level, so that is not the most convenient thing. They are small and a bit crowded. The merchandise area takes up a large area near the steps. The exit doors help keep the temperature pleasant, however when they open on especially the uptown side in winter, it lets a fair amount of cold air in the area. Overall you can tell this was built a while back and has been maintained as best as possible, but still definitely has its limitations due to the size and space available.
Kristen Rogers
Beautiful theatre, lovely staff. Highly recommend seeing Hadestown in this absolute gem of a venue.
Gary Isaacs
Nice theatre. Good acoustics. Every seat is a good view and closeness to the performance.
Scott Belisle
Beautiful decoration inside. Seats were comfortable and the theatre is smaller so it feels nice and cozy. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house, and would like to go back some day soon. The play we saw was fantastic too, so that helps.
BM2937
Since I am rating the theater and not the show, i would say its a lovely Broadway theater, beautifully decorated and very good acoustics. Very nice theater overall, unless you are over 6 ft. There is more legroom in an economy airplane seat. Very cramped seating.
Alex Strilec
Great theater easy to book easy to visit. It's a small location so it doesn't have any sort of concessions outside of a small bar and merchandise booth so if you want to snack I suggest bringing your own stuff with you.
Jim C
We saw Bruce Springsteen, and it was an excellent show. He was very open, honest, and emotional. We enjoyed the way he played his traditional songs in a non-traditional manner and told different stories about his family, friends, and other aspects of his life. We highly recommend the show if you have the opportunity to go. The theater itself was similar to other Broadway theaters. Of note, the men's bathroom is on one side, and the women's bathroom is on the other side.
Susie Brubaker
Refurbished. Gorgeous detail. Great mezzanine. Good viewing from all vantage points and Hadestown was extraordinary
Ipshita Datta
We just went to watch the new Broadway musical Hadestown in this theatre. Hands down, one of the best musicals I have set. The theatre is a little too cramped for my own taste. However Hadestown superseded any of the musicals, in it's lighting, performances, effects, narration and direction. It's a much watch for all patrons of fine arts.
Steve McGrory
Beautiful theater! Not a bad seat in the house
Laurel owens
We were lucky enough to see Bruce Springsteen and we really enjoyed it. It’s a very small theater and we sat in the upper section. I would suggest getting lower seats to be closer (being in upper section was not close enough for me; I’ve been that close in huge stadiums). Bruce’s stories were intimate and relatable and that’s why I love him. I would’ve loved & treasured a meet & greet or even an in person program signing but it didn’t happen that night. It was nice to finally see Patti perform; she never performs in Rochester or Buffalo where I’ve usually seen Bruce. All in all, Bruce is a performer I can never get enough of.
Sieglinde “Siggy” Kuehn
Beautiful small theater, staff was pleasant, show was amazing, great stage
Patrick Lasseter
Wow. Absolutely amazing theater and show. Nothing else to say except: Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!

Jujamcyn is by far my favorite theater company to visit because they are so customer friendly. Drink prices aren't nearly as high as other theaters either. The show I saw today is Hadestown. Absolutely amazing! From start to finish you will have an amazing experience...my only caution is the seats in the mezzanine are a little hard for taller people. Your knees are really cramped and will be throbbing by the end of the show
Efrain Camacho
The Walter Kerr Theater is and Amazing experience! I recommend it highly!
Genn Shelley
I watched Hadestown. It was nothing like I had ever seen before, I was very impressed. I loved the show.
Katie Jane
Great theatre, smallish, so shows feel intimate and you are always really close to the action....EXCEPT when you sit in the balcony. The balcony is absolutely an after thought, jammed into the rafters, not a good view or sound experience. Spring for mezz level (which is a stellar view) or orchestra and you’ll be super happy, even from the back rows. The balcony is almost insulting.
medcop2001
The building is beautiful, but small. It's over 100 years old. The seats are small & on top of one another, but somewhat comfortable. The stage is very easy to see from every seat and the sound system is great. Security to get into the building was not only high tech, but very fast & efficient. Every employee I encountered was friendly & knowledgeable. They greeted everyone with a smile. They don't allow pictures or the use of cell phones during the show. Bathrooms are located on the 2nd floor. It was clean and had at least 10 stalls, which helped to keep things moving at a good pace. It was a enjoyable evening. Have fun at your next event.
Florian Schmidt
We saw Hadestown here during our visit. The theater has a great vibe that really let's you feel the glamorous days of Time Square and the shows and musicals there.
Seating is rather tight and it's hard to move your feet.
Mark McGill
The show Hades Town was fantastic. All actors were terrific.
stuart cohen
Beautiful old theater. The type that has no bad seats. Snacks and drinks are expensive. 🤔 …
Joan Melendez
Excellent! What a beautiful theater! Hadestown was an incredible musical. I was awestruck by the talent on the stage. Well done!!!
gisella mcsweeny
Sweating right but hadestown is so worth being uncomfortable for
Wanja Ochwada
Theater like any other on Broadway, nothing groundbreaking. But it is FREEZING in there. To their credit the theater sent out an email before the HadesTown performance I went to, so say it will be cool, but I was colder than I've been indoors in a while. 3/5 because I didn't see the bathroom, and the concession stand on the ground floor is tiny.
Deanna Matt
Beautiful theater with an old time feel. Wonderfully intimate, felt like you could connect with the players. Staff were all so nice, and Hadestown was an amazing show.
Kromagrog
We went to go see the play Hadestown, we got there late and we had to rush in. On our way up to our seats we didnt get to look around at first, but once we did I could see all the beautiful architecture in the theater. This was a play we waited 6 months to see, and finally seeing the stage and the set was completely amazing. The way the floor had three rotating circles to help the cast convey movement was such a cool idea. The way the stage moved and the way the actors, and actresses interacted with it was incredible to see. This play has been shown on TV and online alot for how good it is, but I can honestly say it's worth a visit to watch it. We would honestly love to go see this play again it's that good. They have the original soundtrack on spotify also so you can start listening to the music right now if you wanted to.
Taylor Scott
Smaller than expected, yet spacious enough for an entertaining show
Holly Ewart-O'Neall
Wonderful theater. Just gorgeous but the seats are so tiny. If you are a tall person try to get a seat on the aisle. My 6ft son enjoyed the show but was very uncomfortable
Kevin Chan
Saw a gentleman's guide to love and murder here and it's a wonderful musical considering it won the 2014 best musical Tony. The theater is a wonderful intimate space. Not a bad seat in the house. The musical is a great comedy with the 2 leads providing a wonderful job. It's amazing the stamina the lead has as he's virtually in every scene singing a number. And for his co-star to play more than 8 rolls is amazing. Funny, catchy tunes, wonderful and creative set designs to change locales. It's one of the must sees in Broadway.
Allison Hiblong
This is a great venue. The staff were all very professional and extremely helpful. The restrooms were clean and tidy. Came for Hadestown on a Saturday night and was very happy with my theater experience.
Gloria Rosson
Springsteen on Broadway. Intimate theater. Usuall smallish seats and nattow rows. But a lovely venue.
Steve Ingalsbe
We went to the Walter Kerr theatre to see Bruce Springsteen perform a one-man accustic show. The theater is small (1000 seat) and is a little bit old but was comfortable. The seats are close together with little leg room, much like sitting in a coach airplane seat. Most Broadway theaters now have cup holders on the seats but this one has not been upgraded yet. Drinks ran $15 each which is average for NYC theaters.
Darren Poulsen
A very nice intimate theater. Wonderful customer service and a very friendly and accommodating staff. We saw Hadestown last Friday evening and it was AMAZING! Get tickets before the Tony Awards next month because when it wins best musical and sweeps the Tony Awards, it will be next to impossible to get in! Stellar cast! Outstanding musical score! Innovative and thrilling staging! THE show to see on Broadway IMHO! It's so completely refreshing to see these timeless myths of Orpheus, Eurydice, Hades, and Persephone performed on Broadway with such care, class, and compassion. No profanity or explicit content/imagery. I'd give it a PG rating--suitable for the whole family to see! Truly great theater encourages you to think more deeply about life, inspires the mind, and transforms the heart. Hadestown more than delivered--we were deeply touched, moved to tears, and left the theater inspired! If Hadestown does not win the Tony for best musical, then we're headed to the underworld in a handbasket! :)
Conor Hale
I saw Hadestown here and had an overall pleasant experience. The bar/concessions stand at the back of the orchestra section is quite small and led to an odd double line in both directions, one wrapping up the stairs and another going the other way down the aisle. However, they offer pre-ordering pre-show which eliminates some of the hassle.
Sneha Pokharel
Enjoyed Hadestown here, such talented actors..the prizes for drinks were crazy expensive but I guess is expected of broadway theater in NY? Also, the lines for the restroom were pretty crazy at half time but I guess there was plenty of time to get the business done and loved how the staff give you a heads up at the restroom when the show is about to start
Amy Ha
Saw Hadestown here! Very nice stage and super comfy seats.
Gary P Kane
Beautiful small theatre. Perfect sound system. Not a bad seat in the house. Getting in & out of the theatre was a breeze. Plus, Bruce's show was the best show in our entire lives! He's that good!!!
krista stroh
Saw hadestown. Wonderful experience in a beautiful theater
Chris Welty
One of the smaller theatres with very cramped seating and incredibly long bathroom lines for all genders (it's possible people from North Carolina were in town trying out alt gen bathrooms). The mezzanine is extremely steep.
Saw the crucible here, which was fantastic.
Caroline H
The show was wonderful, but the seats were even smaller than most tiny theater seats I've sat it. I'm 5'10" and my knees were pressed up against the seat in front of me the whole time. It was very uncomfortable. I can't imagine how anyone taller can tolerate sitting for a whole show.
Of Mice And Mandrakes 100
Went to see Hades Town yesterday and here are my thoughts on it...I guess it was ok...probably would of been better if I knew what exactly was going on. I never heard of it and thought I'd try it out given all the buzz and Tony Awards. The singing was good but I had a really hard time trying to grasp the story line. The lady seated next to me even fell asleep at one point. It was ok but for the price I paid I wouldn't make the same choice twice. Definitely do your homework if you plan seeing this one.
Roger L. Conner
Classic Broadway theater. Great views, excellent Acoustics, long Bathroom lines. On the small side. Feels intimate.
Anne Cahalane
The theater is lovely. The acoustics are great. The drunks who were permitted to repeatedly annoy and disturb others the entire performance were a major problem. When a person spends over $1000 on tickets, we're paying to hear the show, not the drunks. Cut them off and throw them out. Very very disappointing.
Jennifer
Saw Hadestown. Good overall experience. My only issue was with being ushered out at the end. I had to use the restroom but instead was immediately ushered out of the building like cattle. Other theaters allow you to move around freely afterwards and use the restroom if need be.
Jessica Haas
Had an amazing time at this theatre. I saw Hadestown, and it was incredible. Friendly staff and a fantastic show!
Garrett Vanderover
Great theater, friendly staff and their use of seat geek was great, made entry very easy
Ross Wisdom
Very intimate setting
Perfect place to host BRUCE!!!
Felt like we were getting a private concert in his living room as he alternated between his guitar and a grand piano
Nothing else on stage except when Patti joined him for 2 songs. Not a bad seat in this small house. I will actually look to come back to this theatre. But Bruce is magic. So there is that as well.
Arinze Anyaeche
excellent theatre. Seats are cramped if you are tall tho.
Jennifer Ramirez
Got the chance of a lifetime to go and see Bruce Springsteen here. Great theatre. Sightlines are amazing. You could see everything from every seat.
We got there with not a lot of time to spare. The line, including security, went quickly and flawlessly.
I would love to come back. Especially to see Bruce again.
Jonathan Lowin
Wow! We had such a great time. The theatre isn't that big, so all the seats on the floor are amazing to match a great show in Hadestown.
boramir007
The theater is just the right size: big enough for a full on production, but small enough to remain intimate. We saw Hadestown here, and it was absolutely phenomenal. I would see it again in a heartbeat!
Norman Hollander
We saw Hadestown. Great theater, great acoustics and fantastic show.
Luis Almanza
On the smaller side, but perfect for the show I watched. Great experience overall.
Kimberly Andersen
Beautiful theater and a wonderful show!
Megan Wang
Hadestown is such a great show!!! Would definitely recommend especially if you are a big musical fan. The theater and set was very impressive too.
Cheryl Dodd-Marko
Play was wonderful, staff was extremely pleasant....a great experience🕊🇺🇲💕 …
Bob Blake
Hadestown was great! The theater is fairly small and efficiently run.
Samantha Lobo
Saw Hadestown and we could see everything perfectly from Mezz left. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The sound quality is exceptional. Everyone was very organized at the stage door afterwards and security was very respectful and prepared.
Katy Bonello
I saw Springsteen on Broadway here. A beautiful, intimate environment for a show.
G Aquino
Typical Broadway theater in terms of amenities, customer service, and age (it's been around for almost a century!). And yes, Hadestown was a great show and worth all the accolades.
Amy Currotto
Had an amazing experience at this theatre ! The staff was so helpful every single step of the way, and made such a great impact on my Broadway experience.
Hilary Callahan
Saw Hadestown. Great! Tickets for a weeknight only ~$120. Seats way to the side row N but looked great. (Just go check out the alternate view during intermission.)
Brandon Fox
Wonderful theater with a great mezzanine. Beautiful stage and aesthetics along with friendly and welcoming staff. Saw hadestown here and the play itself was fantastic, and the theater was part of that.
Will Elnick
Very steep seating. The show was great and the theater was close to everything. The ticket came with a parking coupon. Every seat here is a good seat with basically nothing blocking the view. Very well built and designed.
Eric Loew
Saw Bruce Springsteen here it was absolutely amazing. Beautiful theater, the sound was great, the lighting great, everything was great. It's a little cramped but that's to be expected in an old theater like this. Excellent place to see a show.
John Fenlon
The show Hadestown is amazing, but since I'm reviewing the venue, the seats are really cramped and uncomfortable.
Barney Simon
God this is an awful theater if you have to sit in the balcony. It was made for midgets in the 1920s. The legroom sucks in a word. Fortunately the ADA provide some help. I am 6 foot 7 foot tall, growing older by the minute, and have knees that would have me fidgeting and in pain 20 minutes into the performance with the legroom provided in the balcony. The usher graciously provided me a straight-back chair tea set at the end of one of the rows. Otherwise sitting through this performance will be totally unbearable
M A
Cozy theater, seating is comfortable, though a bit tight on the legroom, in Orchestra. Scored a great aisle seat for Hadestown, didn't miss a thing, great staging!👍🏻 …
Ted Throckmorton
Bruuuuuuuuuuuce ! The theater was quite nice as well.
Surabhi Seetharam
Not as large as The Majestic or Gershwin but it was great for a musical like Hadestown which I watched here.
Brett Raynor
Small seats, no room for knees or shins, poor layout design leads to very long lines for the bathrooms. Very uncomfortable to sit. But the show was great, and even from the balcony the view was very good
Richard Gent
I saw Bruce Springsteen on Broadway at this theater. It was a fantastic venue for a once in a lifetime Performance!! All the seats afforded a GREAT VIEW of the stage and the performance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Your Mom
Comfortable seats, Intimate space, perfect for musicals like Hadestown. Staff were mostly friendly but one rude guy at the merchandise area brought them down a star.
mark taylor
Nice theatre. A good place to see a show
Nevine Gerges
Nice cozy venue. Out of this world plays and productions
Marco Wanders
Very intimate theatre. Bruce Springsteen was magic!
David Barger
Saw Springsteen on Broadway at this theater and it proved to be a terriffic venvue for this show. There does not seem to be one bad seat in the house. I only wish the seats were a bit wider and rows spaced a tad more to provide more comfort.
Tim Tsai
Beautiful theater, good lay out. Wish the seats were elevated more, I had to keep moving my head to see the stage and I saw quite a few others doing the same. Friendly ushers and quick bartender.
David Gardiner
Was great! Performance was incredible. A little disappointed that we weren't able to buy drinks/snacks, but I guess it's a covid precaution.
Athena Chang
We came here for a dress rehearsal for an upcoming Broadway show and it is a nice theater and we got to sit in the front row.
The visual and sound effect are pretty good. i really enjoyed the performance.
Christopher Williams
Saw Hades town here. Polite and friendly staff and 5 star adult beverages. They also manage their lines very well. Pro tip, there is a cash only bar that has a much shorter line.
healing tothemax
Glorious old theatre, beautiful frescoes - tight seating. Know what you’re getting before you go in. Home for Hadestown in 2019 and it was an ideal fit.
Kyle Shamie
This theatre is amazing! Saw Hadestown and it was a great experience!
Ava Kaplan
hadestown beyond impressed me. the vocals and music are incredible, the story even better. amazing show, even better atmosphere!
S F
As always, women's restroom lines were a huge issue. At intermission, the line extended down a flight of stairs and across half the auditorium on the first floor. However, it was super well-organized and that helped it move relatively swiftly.
Czarine Viyar
Saw Hadestown and it was incredible! All characters were absolutely amazing. Small theater compared to Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles but more intimate.
Erick Pessôa
I was at the very top and could see all stage. Very well seated.
Linda Citara
Loved the small, quaint feel of the theatre. Not a bad seat in the house!
Kalle Westerling
Beautiful theatre and current production of Hadestown is not to be missed!
Max deLaubenfels
The performance was brilliant, and the staff were fabulous. I hope they are able to raise enough money some day to increase restroom capacity so lines are shorter. It's a great venue otherwise.
John Keller
Have seen two great shows here, Springsteen and Hadestown. Beautiful theatre with good sightlines. Seats are a little small but comfortable
Karen Sterling
Wonderful theater venue! Not a bad seat in the house. Lines move quickly, friendly help.
Wayne Meyer
Amazing show. Great little theatre
A L ə X
Hadestown...finally a musical written for musicians. Epic storytelling, Hades and Hermes were extraordinary. A very peculiar show, unlike anything I've seen. Amazing delivery of the finale by Hermes that I will never forget.
Nhan N
Old but good one. Sound system 8sbvery goodm
Jason Mather
Saw The Crucible here last night and while our seats were fairly far back in the Orchestra (P) and on the side, it was a very intimate theater and we were still able to fully enjoy the show and the subtle touches of the scenery.
William Welch
Very nice theater. Good acoustics and no bad seats.
La Jolla Colony Veterinary Hospital
Springsteen on broadway was amazing! Intimate venue with great acoustics. One plea... ushers, please for the love of God throw out people filming the show, taking flash photography, and otherwise disrupting what should be an amazing experience.
