3/18/21: Great community theater!!! I have been a member since 1991, and couldn't be more impressed with the caliber of artistry that happens in this 99-seat theater. While the pandemic has shut the doors for the past year, our group still functions as a community, gathering on zoom for monthly meetings, performing play readings on zoom, presenting "Porch Stories" (like The Moth) outdoors, planning for our future.

Elmwood Playhouse is a breath of fresh air in the artsy village of Nyack. I love their seasons - with something for everyone. Their musicals, dramas and comedies are equally as professional as any Broadway show. Come and support this local venue and keep theatre alive!

We attended the performance of "Andre" today, sponsored by the Orangetown Historical Society and enjoyed it thoroughly! Derek Tarson gave an excellent introduction to this 220-year-old play, and the discussion with museum director Mary Cardenas shed light on the the whole Andre affair.

As a member of the Bergen county players in Oradell and seeing other of my fellow members at other players this is one of the theaters that stands out to me because of the location but at the same time it is a very nice fear to go to very homey very roomy
