Went here on a recent visit to NYC as a last minute thing and saw the legendary Jerry Seinfeld. Managed to get cheap tickets on stub hub ($39), the morning of the show. I’d recommend that over the ticket master prices which seemed to fluctuate every-time I checked in the weeks leading up-to the show.
This theatre is pretty special. The size is perfect, the decor you won’t see in many places. Staff all super friendly. So why only 3 stars…….
$13 for a beer, very expensive. For me that’s just too much, especially for canned beer!!
But the worst part for me is that they were still letting people into the theatre when there was literally 20 minutes left of the show!!! Talk about interrupting a performance and taking everyone who got there in time out of the experience.

I haven't been to the beacon theater in ages and I forgot what a beautiful theater it is. Perfect size for really any type of venue. The sound was good light show was great. I just saw the b-52s and KC and the Sunshine band They put on some show. The lobby is very well designed providing good flow to the bar and merchandise and seats. I will definitely see events here again. it was just a truly enjoyable experience

Lovely theater steps from public transportation and restaurants so it's super convenient. I've been here twice now for shows and the seating is comfy and not too tight like the B'way show theatres. The place is a well run venue, clean and inviting. Three levels of seating to choose from. All with very good to decent viewing.

I’ve been to a number of shows (music, comedians, etc) at Beacon. It’s a beautiful venue. Classic and chic with an intimate vibe. There’s not really a bad seat, so don’t feel bad if you get to the Loge or something, you can still see just fine. If there is someone who you have been wanting to see I can recommend going to this place for it.
Katze Love
Lovely venue :) I last saw Ryan Adams here and it was an excellent show. Been to a few other productions here. Beautiful interior with good seating options. Anywhere you sit you have a great view with good acoustics. The ushers were nice and helpful.
Staci Caramel the Poetry Princess J
It was a beautiful theater. I haven’t bed. There for 20+ years!! They haven’t skipped a beat. The staff was awesome and very nice! Lil Baby was amazing. Loved seeing his family and crew n friends
Beau Laughlin
An absolutely beautiful theater. If you get a chance to see you favorite band in this venue don’t miss it. One recommendation don’t sit underneath the balcony. It does diminish the sound quality.
Brian Berger
Saw MUSE here. Wonderful venue for them, arguably best live rock band ever. Ornate theatre with comfortable seating. Sat in Lodge level and felt they were really good seats.
Marion
Grandiose theatre with intricate design. Acoustics were also great. Overall, a lovely experience. Not to mention, this theatre holds significant historical value.

Best live music venue in New York City. There's not a bad seat in it. From the front row to upper balcony row P, every seat is good or better! I used to think the Beacon was big. But as I grew up, it got smaller. It's a great small venue. Too many thousands of great shows have happened here.
Dillon Browne
great place to see a show. legendary venue, absolutely beautiful. Great sound and polite and professional staff. Just be sure to have a copy of your ticket ready to return to your seats.

The Beacon theatre, next to Radio City Music Hall, is probably the most famous place to see a show in New York City. (Madison Square Garden would be up there too) Located on the Upper West Side, we've been here a number of times over the years to see various shows. The theatre is very intimate, historical, and beautiful inside. If you ever have the opportunity to attend a show or event here I highly recommend going!
Stanley Novel
Good atmosphere, nice theatre. Interior with references to Ancient Rome and Greek culture-interesting. But it’s also about crowd. It’s really cool when well mannered people come and not some nasty behaved morons.
Joe Schilp
Been to the Beacon many times and I love it. The orchestra seating is small and intimate. The lobby and theatre are stunningly beautiful. I've taken all 3 of my kids there for shows. I hope to be back soon!
Lyndsey Campbell
Great location for a show! Came here to see the Last Podcast on the Left live show and sat upstairs and had a great view! It is a beautiful venue.
Vinamra Jain
Good for concerts, comedy shows, 2-3 hour events. Got tickets on 6th row from stage. Seats were ok but sound, lights and ambience was all as expected. Restrooms available on multiple floors. Bar and popcorns available to purchase.

Excellent theater. All of the staff that helped me were all very nice and helpful. The seats were comfortable (which is what you worry about when sitting down for a long period of time). The ambiance of the theater itself was very nice and classy.

came for Tommy Bun’s I’m coming everywhere tour march 2022. the staff is so friendly and helpful. i had some issue with my mobile ticket and the box office staff helped me right away. smooth check in!

3/10/22 Attended Love Rocks NYC Benefit/Concert, definitely one of my favorite venues! Beautiful theatre, friendly & accommodating!
Mark Gage
The Beacon Theatre is work of art on the inside. Saw Seinfeld here last week! Great show and so awesome to see such a classic New York comedian! One of my faves.
Arislenne Maceda
It was pretty organized. The workers would even guide you to your seat if you’re lost. There are several places where you can get food and drinks. Bathrooms on different floors. The only reason why it wasn’t a 5 however is because one worker guided me to the wrong seat the first time. It was an understandable mistake but it could have been prevented if she actually read my ticket carefully.

We truly are spoiled in NYC by having so many brilliantly preserved venues. The Beacon Theatre, built in 1929 as a Movie Palace, offered an air-conditioned respite to all New Yorkers. The interior is a gorgeous mixture of Ancient Greek and Roman, and Rococo styles. The theater is designated as a New York City interior landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The sound system is as equally brilliant. It's fine-tuned for all musical events, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Of course, I love being on the front row of the first balcony as I love the view. I find myself staring at the details, and it always makes me smile.
Dee Kelly
Gorgeous theater, easy to get to, incredibly comfortable seats, kind and polite staff, great sound, clean bathrooms. One of the best music venues I’ve been to in New York City
Bruce H
Saw Joe Jackson from Row V (back center seating under the balcony). Great view and sound, old school theater style seats are plush and comfortable, with a fair (but not generous) amount of legroom (always a concern for me at 6'3"). Tickets were listed at "obstructed view"... I guess due the light and sound boards), but not an issue at all (the guys working both systems remained seated for the duration of the show). The inside of the theater is ornate and wonderful. They were a little slow getting people thru security, but I guess that's the world we live in. We did not partake in the bar, so I can't speak to that.
lizeth sanchez
Beautiful architettura, clean and people very helpful and courteous. I been in Gilberto Santa Rosa concert and the sound very good..
Eric Marsh
Came to a showing of Clerks 3, while in town on a birthday trip. First, let me start by stating the theater is GORGEOUS! I wish I had taken more pictures, while I was there, but I will return to photograph, if I can on a future visit.
The bar drinks were well mixed and a good size. The bartender we were served by was a wonderful lady to chat with.
The one large negative was that the usher in our section required us to lower our phones, while recording the introduction, when 5 other screens were visibly recording the entire time, and not asked to be lowered by other ushers, or even the director. Additionally, no staff made announcements, prior to the event, that recording was not allowed.
George Junca
Beautiful space and great acoustics, shows feel very intimate. Loge area/first balcony can be better than main floor.
Dawn Easparro
Beautiful theater and sound is incredible. Saw Ringo Star & His All-Star Band this time. Sold out show.
Jose Ramirez
Nice ,clean ,,gorgeous ,enjoy the concert from the beginning to the end,,ANGELA AGUILAR is an amazing artist. And the place was perfect for the event,,
Mahima Srivastava
Loved Beacon Theater and came here to see Russell Peters live. We had great orchestra seats and had a good time.
Christopher Jamieson
Never a bad time here. This was our first time at a show since the Sphere sound system was introduced, and I'm not sure if it was just where we were sitting, but the bass was thunderous - distractingly so, sometimes to the point of being distorted. I still love the venue and I'm interested in seeing different shows from different vantage points; it's not enough to decrease the rating as it stands.
C. Ojar
What a stuning venue and accomodating staff. Restroom for the disabled is available by entrance door. Concession stand and merch setup were available in the lobby.
Juliana Ferrone
A beautiful theatre, classic and compact. The inside is elegant with Greek statues. I enjoyed Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets.
Michael Scavuzzo
I've always loved the Beacon! From the Frank Zappa shows of the '70s to the Tedeschi Trucks Band last weekend. It's been meticulously restored and the sound system has been upgraded. It's worth the extra effort to experience a show there!
rachel
Beautiful Theatre with comfortable seats and lovely details. The staff were kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time seeing Daniel and Eugene Levy!
Brad Wilson
The new MSG Immersive Sound is really amazing. Cheers to Holoplot for pulling this off in such an intimate and historic room. Love it.
Suz Sims-Fletcher
Gorgeous old skool theater. Go if only to see the architecture. Seats a littke tight [its old] but the theater is clean and staff friendly and helpful.
Christopher Eu
I don’t see much use in reviewing an actual theatre (theyre all about the same aren’t they - overpriced drinks, smell like the 1800s and have serviceable but not stellar bathrooms) so i’m going to review a show that i recently went to! Tedeschi Trucks Band, 10/09/2021. Last show of their 10th annual Beacon run.
Absolutely incredible. Derek’s sound has wizened over the years and he can still reach those screaming highs while still maintaining a stunning amount of dynamic control, out of this world improvisation all the while corralling a 12-piece band with the precision of an orchestral maestro. Susan - hoo boy. You don’t just hear the power of her voice when you see this band live; you feel it reverberating in your bones. Her guitar playing has also gone up a notch since the pandemic, and she stands toe to toe with giants. Warren Haynes was the guest for the night and he brought it. Dreams was a highlight as well as the set/night/run closer With a Little Help From My Friends.
Apart from a slightly drunker-than-needed-to-be crowd at the back of the orchestral area, this was a great show with great vibes all around. See you all next year!!
Natalia Med
This theater has beautiful interior with good seating options.
Stace D
Beautiful theater, but bigger than I expected.. As a tall person with wide hips, I was pleasantly surprised that seating was quite comfortable.
Sidenote... The security lady who had to go through my weekender bag before entry was super kind and patient. ( I hate having to bring a bag to a venue, but didn't have time to drop it off at home before the show)
Alex Valdes
An amazing and beautiful venue. Just saw Ween there the other night and was blown away.
Roger Sarrabo
Not a bad venue to see a show. Plenty of restrooms. Bars on every level. Good sound system. The seats are a little close together but that's to be expected. Overall, a good place to visit.
Cena Block
I think this is one of the most beautiful theaters in the city. Arrive early to explore the decor. Also, I was very impressed with the staff. They were so courteous, professional, and worked excellently together. They managed the crowd so well, and were outstanding.
Diánna Martin
I have seen dozens and dozens of shows there over the decades and it's a wonderful live music venue. There have been some shows where there were issues with the acoustics and I remember an Eddie Izard show where I couldn't hear anything, but those problems seem to have been ironed out since. The last several shows, including Widespread Panic, were spectacular. It's so fascinating to sit in a theater space that has such gorgeous architecture, stylized in another century, and then see all of the modern lights, effects and sound systems for gigs. Everyone is reasonably nice at this venue, (some very very kind), and my friends and I always have a wonderful time. Go if you can.
Chris Martin
Beautiful theatre. Jerry was incredible. Walked in and instantly felt how iconic this theatre is.
Colter
Unmatched acoustics in NYC, with great views and a really nice layout. It feels more professional and fancy than most concert venues in the city. This can be great, but I saw a rock show here that it felt a bit tame for. It's all assigned seating, so it's a perfect venue for the right kind of show.
Andre McMahon
I love this theatre we saw Sal Vulcano then Jerry Seinfeld!
Mary-Jo Machel
Awesome venue. We saw Jerry Seinfeld and the seats were great, the theater was beautiful. The only negative was we got 2 drinks and 2 bottles of water for $77. That’s just wrong.
Iman Fakhoury
The supervisor working the night of 11/9 was very on top of things, understanding, and kind. The theatre has a nice ambience. The woman working the ladies restroom was friendly, funny, and she properly facilitated the long lines.
Would come back for another event in the future.
Abigail Harris-Culver
Saw Jerry Seinfeld here from a seat with an "obstructed view" that turned out to be the audio engineer's booth. It was low enough to easily see the stage but there was some glare (about 5 cellphones worth).
Great staff, great show, beautiful building!
Thomas C
Beautiful old theater with comfortable seating. Unfortunately security and crowd control was very poorly managed. Both before and after the show, throngs of people had to funnel through a very narrow checkpoint. Not only did this cause seating for the show to be delayed, and the show to start late, but also posed a safety risk.
Everythings Right
Great show last evening as always the Tedeschi trucks band at the Beacon Theatre were fantastic! 🎶New sound system is great! A shout out to Tobey who was working Security in our section who was incredibly professional & helpful with seating! …
Sergio R
Loved this theater! Came to see Jerry Seinfeld and it was just a really nice theater.
Yolanda Matthews
The only but goodies show was good and The Stylistics was very wonderful and I enjoy all of the show it's my birthday present
Steve Mija
Great venue, great staff.. in the greatest city in the world.. we got seats last minute, but that didn't matter, not a bad seat in the house! Will be back as many times as possible..
Dave Sundlof
Beautiful and historic theater.
We loved Ray Lamontagne.
Very helpful staff but late arrivals shouldn't be allowed.
It was chronic and continued throughout the performances.
erin kelly
We went to see The B-52s on Friday. My husband had gotten hurt at work that day and was experiencing knee pain. After getting to our seats, we realized that sitting with his leg bent at a right angle for the night would be torture, I went and spoke to the usher to see if there was a spot where he could stand safely. A few moments later, we were escorted downstairs to sit in folding chairs behind the regular seating. It was so kind of them to accomodate us, without us having notified them earlier- as we didn't know it was going to be a problem. My husband was able to enjoy the show. Thank you for your kindness.
Jianya P
Very nice and helpful staff! Convenient grab-swip-go setup on the first floor for water and beer.
A bit short on the restroom space for ladies. I'd recommend using it somewhere else before you come here.
Kevin Keegan
Great older style theater. Excellent acoustics. Comfortable seats. Only drawback, is slow exits via staircases upon conclusion of the concerts/shows.
Sevin Ceviker
Loved seeing the beacon theater and the amazing Jerry Seinfeld. Seats are not very comfortable up in the balcony not much leg room so it gets very tight.
But always a fun place to see shows.
Ofir A
Nice venue. Comfortable seats. Expensive drinks but that’s a given. We sat in the back of the orchestra section. Every time someone entered or exited, we got hit with a draft of air from the common area.
D T
Seen Jerry Seinfeld here twice, both hilarious shows and the theatre is also a really impressive old building.
Best advice is to spend more on the tickets, as it makes a huge difference being up close as the view is much better.
Other really important piece of advice is to have a drink before heading into the venue - the prices here are nothing short of extortionate, even for water and soft drinks.
Also turn up in good time cos the security checks take a while before you're in.
Dave S
Very enjoyable evening listening to Ray LaMontagne within the historical Beacon Theater. Very good staff but late comers should not be allowed to disrupt the performance. There were sixty people who were guided to their seats by staff who used flashlights.
This went on right to the last song!
Darren Barlow
A beautiful venue to see a show. Seinfeld was amazing
Greg Fasano
Another legendary concert hall in NYC. Some of the greatest bands have played here.
Cas Crim
Excellent theater, very classy. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Went for a concert and would definitely come back to this venue again.
Stephan Smith
At 93 years old, the Beacon Theater continues to turn out boom Acts, and some of the most electrifyingly memorable moments I've seen! The staff are Class A, the teams are well organized, and it's really clean - plussess.
Thank you Beacon Theater

The Becon was really nice, and they such a great show.
The 70's Soul Show, was out of sight. It was a mature crowd, people enjoying themselves as well as the show.
I give customers service two thumbs up, they helped to accommodate all your needs
Thanks Becon theatre can't wait until the next show. Kudos 💋
Brian Giambalvo
Saw Chicago play here. Loved them and loved the venue!
John Falcon
Great venue fantastic decor.
Tanisha Checo
This place is absolutely stunning!! I went to see Glen Hansard, essentially front row. Such a moving and beautiful show. The employees were very helpful and kind when assisting in getting to my seat.
My dad and brother stopped by a few months back to see the two cellos perform and they described it as an amazing venue!
I will definitely be back!!
Shanyce Walker
I went many years ago for a Def poetry jam. It's a large place that still manages to give an intimate feel between the performer and audience.
C P
First time going there located in the Upper Westside. Absolutely love the elegant, classy exterior. Very tastefully decorated, three tiered theatre, seats over 2000, the stage is well designed you can get a great view wherever you are sitting.
There are concession stands for snacks, soft drinks, bottled water situated in the lobby, Loge and balcony areas. Alcoholic beverages such as wine, beer and spirits available as well.
Staff is extremely courteous and helpful.
Will definitely go back!
Crystal Cox
Spacious, great acoustics, modernization of seats and walls would be nice. Bathrooms were nice. Food very expensive. Popcorn 8$.
Peter Lemkin
Incredible acoustics, Brett Eldredge glow christmas concert
Nadine McCray
The staff is polite and professional. It's clean. The drinks a bit pricey but that is to be expected. We had a great time.would visit it again.
Daren Wu
Nice and elegant theatre, unpleasant staff. They wouldn't allow my camera in even I assured I would keep it in my bag during the show and refused to provide any temporary storage. Before the show the broadcast only suggested not to use a cell phone, but when I took out my phone to check the set list a staff came up and threatened to kick me out.
Cayla Johnson
Service here is incredible. Great job to the crew. Amazing time.
Yves-Alexandre Lepagnol
Not great for classical music (loge seats). Lots of noise form outside the theater. Staff, barmen and audience
Jonathan Goldstein
Favorite concert venue!!!! Security was awesome as always - friendliest venue I know. Erin at the stage was beyond professional keeping the place calm cool and collected. As far as a venue, I don't know a Better one - it's my cathedral
Sharon Angela Naidoo
An amazing night at the beacon theater. Truly not a bad seat in the house! This was the view from the balcony, row D, seat 12. The staff were helpful and friendly, they wished everyone happy holidays and were always smiling. That just makes the night so special!
craig glaser
Beacon Theater is a great place no matter what they have there the acoustics are awesome just the history of the people that have played there are embedded in the walls. The beacon is very easy to get to as well. Joe Bonamassa and his band were great can't wait to see my next concert at the Beacon
J L
Nice place to watch a show. Went for the first time on 7/23/19 to see Godsmack. The theater itself is very aesthetically pleasing. Security was very accommodating and all the staff were nice. We had a tour of the stage and dressing rooms before the show and got to see parts of the venue usually not seen by the general public. Had front row seats which is the only way I'll see a concert anymore. I would go back for sure.
Erismil Fernández
We went to a concert, the place it's so beatyful inside, has everything you'll need in a theater. The staff is very efficient and kind. They have a store, different bars, and restaurants. And also they have a hotel and a liquor store that are belongs to beacon. It's a very complete place.
A.C. Antonelli
The Beacon Theatre is just one of those iconic New York City venues you have to experience to understand. It's stunningly beautiful, the acoustics are great, and artists seem to love performing here, which means they're enthusiastic, and you'll have the time if your life.
Scott Akam
Saw Slash and Myles Kennedy there. Show was great. Theater is beautiful and the seats were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Salim Amiri
great place, avoid to be all the way in the back if the artist is close to the edge of the stage you won't see him/her, picture taken while sitting all the way in the back with Samsung Galaxy S20 zoom
Scott J. Sebok, MA CCEP
An amazing first experience! Thank you for an outstanding 5 nights!
Dani Ferreira
Had a great time tonight,an evening with Richard Dawkins and Brian Greene. The theater was beautiful, line was not long. One of our companions in our party wasn't on the list, even thought we had the ticket to prove it,after speaking to management the issue was resolved and we enjoyed the show.
Lora Aroyo
Awesome venue. Beautiful interior. But definitely not suited to let the large crowds go in, so be prepared for long long long long lines to get in, easily could be 20 mins waiting to just get in, and then inside finding your spot is another long wait
Rebecca Barthelmess
I love this theatre! It's so pretty and the sound is great. I've seen a few concerts here and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. The bathroom situation isn't ideal since you have to go downstairs to use it but they're clean and well kept which is what really matters.
Rich Ball
The Beacon theatre is a great place to see a show. Almost every seat has a great view of the stage. The loge and balcony seats are close enough to feel a part of the show.
Acoustics and lighting in the theatre are excellent. The theatre is a great place to listen to all different styles of music. I've watched everything from Tori Amos to Elvis Costello with the Charles Mingus orchestra to Def Leppard and most recently Jackson Browne at the theatre. The Govt Mule show at New Years is not to be missed.
The theatre decor is lovely and a step back in time to the 1930's with a beautiful color scheme, chandeliers and wall decorations. Attending a show at the Beacon theatre is a great experience.
lisa dineen
Nikki glaser. I think I'm getting old. Can hear the joke progressing but when the punch line was delivered, it sounded muffled. The theater is beautiful!
Maeve Jopson
Such a beautiful theater! Staff is pretty efficient at getting everyone in the building even with all of the covid restrictions. I was surprised by the huge line outside and how quickly everyone was able to get in and get the show started.
Dana Evans
Tonight I went to see Slash and Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators at the Beacon Theatre. The all female group Plush opened up for Slash.I am a stroke survivor. One of the Beacon staff Michael saw me and brought folding chair as a kind gesture. He invited me to sit in the lobby out if the cold until it was time to let everyone in.This is an example of how the Beacon staff know how to treat people with disabilities I then met another employee Natalie who escorted me and assisted me to go the concession stand.I cant carry and ambulate with my cane at the same time.Because of the kindness of Michael and Natalie I was able to be comfortable and totally enjoyed my concert experience at the Beacan Theatre.

Great theater, beautiful interior and fits a lot of people. Good acoustics as far as I could tell, and even in a high balcony seat, the view was quite reasonable. I saw the Beach Boys here which was an excellent experience.
Giuseppe Tarantino
Here for Ludovico Einaudi concert, it was beautiful. The theatre is small but adequate for this kind of event
Stacey Schwartz
Gorgeous theatre. Enough elbow room compared to the last theatre I sat in! Looking forward to going back again.
Robert Smith
A classic place with excellent acoustics. Don't sit too far back in the orchestra (no higher than row N) to get a truly unobstructed view of the stage
Karin Elazari
Excellent venue! Went to see Bob Dylan. Acoustics are superb and the theatre is gorgeous. Photos of the concert itself were not allowed, sadly
Ted Barnett
My favorite old theater. Excellent acoustics and a gorgeous interior.
Emme Lou
Nice venue, just need to go earlier to find parking nearby was full.
Nicholas G. Savino
A great place to see a show. Brit Floyd was was great. Love the 3 beautiful backup singers. One disappointment - nothing from Animals 🙄 …
DEBRA D
The Beacon is a great place to see a concert - we saw Jackson Browne on 7/27, and the Security & Ushers couldn't have been more helpful guiding us to handicapped seating - quick entry after picking up printed tickets at the Box office......... I believe having your tickets on your phone only delays entry, where people couldn't access their tickets, and all the security checking bags........ There was a line to get in around the block and many people missed the first 7 songs waiting on line outside...... Everyone should be advised to get there an hour or an hour and a half earlier to check in in time for the 8pm show.......... There were baby boomers trying to access their tickets from their phone with the ushers help right outside the entrance to seats while being held in the lobby......... Can't we just go back to the old way of buying tickets and printing them out?!? I got in so much faster with the box office printing out my tickets and walking right in with tickets in hand! The old way is best! The Beacon staff were the kindest and most helpful to us Baby Boomers - kudos to the whole staff!! And Jackson Browne was phenomenal as usual!! 🎼🎶🎹🎸😇🙏
Gordon Fisher
The beacon theatre is small to get the best view I've seated in the front row and on the right side towards the back. The front row was my best experience it was v.I.p also many people stand in the way and it tough to take pictures. Do yourself a favor and try to get the first five rows.
Kevin Lemanski
Unbelievable experience at the Beacon theater up front. Moody was the friendliest, most helpful person I’ve ever met at a venue! He even helped me find my lost ear bud in the aisle
Te Soh
It was nice and all artsy kinda inside so that's fun. The seats were good and had a close view even from the top cuz it's not that big
eric j
What an amazing venue to see a concert!
If you haven’t been there, buy tickets to a show as soon as you can.
There is not a poor seat in the house, great acoustics, and a decor that seems, well, seems like it’s from a by gone era. This place is a real treasure.
Just a heads up...you must go through metal detectors in order to get in. This slows the line a bit, so be prepared to wait outside before entering, especially if the show is sold out.
As a bonus, it’s a quick walk from the 72nd Street subway station and there are many local eateries that are great pre show stops.
Go on line now, head to your favorite ticket vendor, and buy some tickets...enjoy the show!
Alex Baker
The sphere sound is absolutely amazing. I felt like I'd never actually heard live music before! 100% see a show here if you can
AnaMarie Flores
Their security policies are over the top!! Next time I purchase a ticket to a performance there, before requesting payment information they should indicate that you shouldn't bring your cell phone or pepper spray, or tazer!! bec?? At arrival they will force you to lock up your phones in these insulated locked baggies and give up your pepper spray and similar items by telling you "we'll hold onto it until the end of the show," but they actually throw it out and you won't know until the end of the show!! When you're taking the train home alone at that time of night, there's no security or "jerky" performer coming to protect you. That's why people use or carry pepper spray and tazers when traveling through the city. Sites that sell tickets should tell ticket buyers what to expect in advance so they can make informed decisions about their ticket purchases! Some performers aren't worth the hassle or ticket price!
Tom Kat
It is truly a landmark theatre, a thing of beauty. The acoustics are amazing, the view of the stage was fantastic ... definitely a wonderful change of pace from the huge stadiums. The staff were all friendly, they really seemed to enjoy being there.
John Sparrow
Great place, saw last podcast on the left tonight sold out show. Great seats and place was clean. Awesome to see stand up or comedy etc.
Richard M. Chernoff
What can you say about the Beacon? It's an institution for a reason. It's historic but modern, cozy yet expansive, intimate and massive, and intimidating and inviting. The sight lines are great and the acoustics are amazing. And most importantly, I've seen 25 or more shows at this venue and not one wished it was somewhere else. A great place to see shows and I can't be more happy when I get a chance to see a band or performer there. Awesome. BTW we love the fact Gov't Mule is the regular new year's gig at the Beacon. Takes out the guesswork as to what we'll be doing for NYE.
Matty P
Great seats, insane, immersive sound!!
Scott Conacher
The Beacon Theater is a bucket list venue for a reason. There's something very special about this place that takes the artists and audience to another level. If your favorite artist ever plays here and you don't attend you're doing yourself a disservice. If you're a TTB fan and have been.......you already know.
Irina Stepovenko
This is such a beautiful place! Was there on 10/16/22 watching Muse concert. Will definitely return for more performances 💜 …
Lucia Regalbuto
The only qualm I have with the theatre is that it's not super accessible, but other than that, the venue was great! It's nice and small, so almost every seat is a good one, and the staff were all very helpful!

Great place for live music 🎶
Sound is good …
Jennifer Pesce
This theater is one of the only reasons I willing trek from Brooklyn to the UWS. From the ornate decor to the more intimate concert experience it provides (than other places in Manhattan), it's one of my favorite venues to see live music.
Raymond Woods
Not only is this a beautiful theatre on the inside, it is also intimate enough to feel like you have a good seat no matter where you are seated - it is one of the best places in New York City to see a concert.
Gene
Beautiful theater comfortable seating great acoustics Jackson Brown was fantastic The audience was obnoxious They thought it was request night instead of letting the artist perform his sets People can't go and get entertained and appreciate the artist they always think it's all about them
Reynold DiBernardo
Beautiful venue with a very kind staff , convenient location
Andrew Miller
Beautiful historic theater with amazing decor, clear sight lines from all seating levels, and solid sound system and natural acoustics - in recent show, the artist did a song with no mic from front of stage and we could hear clearly from front of loge and seemed people in other sections could also. Easy access from subway at 79th street. Restrooms on main floor and third level - they're a bit cramped, and sorry ladies, usually a line.

Always a great time to be here. Great venue. Every seat is good! Young the giant was great!
Karl O' Toole
The Beacon is my favorite NYC concert venue. It’s beautiful (crane your neck look at the ceiling); the acoustics are great and there’s not a bad seat in the house.
Lori R
Great venue to see a concert saw the b52s there
Mary
Beacon Theatre is a small but very nice intimate concert venue. My daughter and I went to NYC and saw Niall Horne. I would have given the Beacon 5 stars but there was such a mix up with our tickets. Something was off with the "disabled" seating and we were placed in 3 different seats. Then the manager came back one last time took our tickets and said he'd be back but never returned. After he left an usher told us to move and I explained the manager took our tickets and was supposed to come back. It was extremely frustrating and irritating. They didn't apologize at all and Niall Horan's family were so kind and understanding as it was their seats we were placed in!
connie farnham
Great venue to see a concert!! Helpful staff and easy security to get in. If you dont want to pay for orchestra seats, get seats in the Loge. Better sight lines and sound.
Christopher Teng
Went to see Muse and the venue was very good. The team was very efficient and kind. Made the whole experience easy and fun.
Jeannette Minton
They had adequate bathrooms and places where you could get drinks and the staff was very accommodating and I loved the ambience
Isabel Ruiz
Nice iconic theatre, great for concerts. I went to see Bob Dylan and it was a fantastic experience. The only thing I didn't like were the bouncers at the entrance, shouting at people and treating them with little care.
Jim Benedetto
Iconic. Great place for a concert. Wonderful sound and comfortable seating.
Nelson Soto
Beautiful turn of the 20th century theater. Not a bad seat! Sound acoustics great.
Charles Weiselberg
It's really just a beautiful venue with no bad seats and amazing sound
Diane G.
Beautiful theater but acoustics and views in balcony are horrible. Spring for expensive tix on orchestra level. Otherwise skip the concert.
Gerard Delia
Classic theater and great place to see a show. Happy this place was renovated and will be around for future generations!
Bob P
Nice old fashioned theater. As a concert venue it can be difficult to see when people start standing up during the show.
Jasmiine Thompson
Beautiful theater. Great staff and awesome experience
Jay TMG
Best mid-size music venue in NYC. Big enough to draw big names. Not so bag you feel you're watching from a block or 2 away. Hardly a bad seat in the house. ONE TICKET TIP - first three rows are aa, bb, cc. So row a is actually the 4 row. The rise from aa to f is very slight, so shorter people will have line of sight issues. Theater was got a long overdue refurbishing 3-4 years ago and is in great shape. Small interior corridors get a little jammed, but that's typical for theaters of the era. Otherwise . . . great acoustics, great period decor, and a staff that runs a tight and friendly ship.
Bruce Yablon
Great show: John Mellencamp!
Was only 1 night I believe, but everyone had a great time.
It was VERY HOT in the theatre however.
Michael Scavuzzo
I've always loved the Beacon from the Zappa shows in the '70s to Tedeschi Trucks Band most recently the Beacon has been my go to concert location.
D Man
Great seats .. cool view but make sitting a rule feel bad for short people or kids who couldn't enjoy because of people standing
Adam Brumberg
Incredible venue! The interior is spectacular and so are the acoustics. Even the seats way up high are great!
ariana kathleen goswick
Beautiful theater with warm and friendly staff. Highly recommend for all your entertainment needs!
M J
Second time I've been here. Great time- a lot of consession stands so you're never standing on lime for too long.
Shawn Howes
Beacon Theatre is a great place to see a show! Easy to get to, take the 1 train to 72nd and then take a quick walk through the park to the theator. It's a smaller place than the likes of Radio City, so it's a little more intimate. The woodwork of this place is absolutely beautiful! I sat in the upper balcony; Row F. Great view, the sound was very good; the bass wasn't "boomy". I would definitely come back here to see a show!
Sabrina Church
My sister and I attended the Bachelor Live on Stage show this past weekend at the Beacon Theatre and it cannot say enough great things about the staff and the theater itself. The theater is super intimate, I would say there is almost no bad seat in the house. Our seats were near the back near the bar so we were able to get up and get drinks as frequently as we wanted so definitely would recommend that. They had a nice bar selection overall for beer, wine, and harder liquor. So many comments on here talk about the price but honestly, this theater is WAY cheaper than other places I have been to. I paid $28.50 for two large IPAs and $36 for two vodka sodas. Don't drink at the theater if you don't expect to pay more than you would at a restaurant. I would go see a show here again if I had the chance.
I also find it important to say that security and staff were AMAZING. The bartenders were sweet and funny, the seat finders were efficient and kind, and the security was kind, open, and audible the entire time. I was never lost or confused about which line to be in or what I had to do to get checked by security. 10/10 experience!
Ujjval Hemant Thakkar
Everything was super organized. They guided us well to our seats and were super courteous.
Svetlana Dreher
My first visit to the Beacon Theater yesterday and I just wanted to give a shout out to the staff! They were so amazing! I've never met theater employees from bathroom workers to entrance managers who were as nice, kind and hospitable. We felt very welcomed. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication! Top notch hospitality.
ken clark
A Little Help from his friends. Ringo and his All Star band was a nostalgia fest. 70s hits from AWB, Toto, and Men at Work capped off with a Yellow Submarine sing a long
Sue Bella
It was great to be back at the Beacon once again for a concert!! Beautiful restoration of this historic landmark theater. Fantastic acoustics!!
Saw Steve Hackett and his band for original Genesis music from the time Peter Gabriel was part of the band. Excellent show! Highly recommended for anyone who's a progressive rock fan that will appreciate the music.
Lindsay Armstrong
The theater was beautiful and intimate! Great performance of The Fab Faux. We will be back
Irma Zandl
Love this theater. Tonight saw Dylan. All great except I hate it when the performer bans any photography or video.
Derrell Payne
Absolutely incredible night seeing @dreamtheater live ....incredible venue
Adam Lavoine
The Beacon Theater on Broadway in New York New York is a great venue. Very classic and style and very easy to get in and out of it as well. We staff where very nice and very professional. It was a nice clean environment and I really enjoyed my time is there.
Thomas Everett
Such an incredible place. The atmosphere, the architecture and of course the Marcus King band was absolutely incredible.
Imanuel Lim
Came here to watch Gipsy Kings playing. A beautiful place, and really clean too
martin soto
Very cute theater with great security and food/beverage service.
Ken Price
As always the Beacon Theater is a great venue for a concert. The acoustics for Brett Eldredge were top notch and everything about the show and venue were perfect.
Arthur Parrinello
First timers....will be back. Smaller intimate venue with not a bad seat in the house. Very nice staff. Easy expensive parking nearby. Plenty of places to eat before and after the show.
Kent Santin
Beautiful venue with good accustics. Prices for drinks were a little high (12-20) but the selection was better that most other concert venues.
Tony Correa
Wonderful experience, my first time at the Beacon. it was beautiful to see how well decorated this wonderful theater has been restored.
Mary Menditto
Beautiful theater, excellent sound system and easy to access West Side Highway.
Joanne
Was there june 7 for Ringo and his All Star Band. The theater is beautiful. The staff is warm and friendly. Every one of the security people , ushers it's a great experience
The sound system was great. Will attend again when there's a show I must see! Highly recommend the Beacon theater
Christine Dahlgren
All the employees of the theater were extremely helpful. The concert was beyond awesome. I hope to return here again in the future.
Yosef Rosenfield
Amazing place to see a live performance. Great acoustics and visuals.
Gail Waterson
Love the Beacon Theater. It looks beautiful after the restoration. Saw Joe Satriani there it was a great show.
Jeff Klainberg
Very intimate setting to see any show. Always the best ambiance. There really are no bad seats. Worth monitoring the schedule to see who's coming to town and getting tickets early.
Kenny Bates
Excellent and friendly staff. A great place to see a show!
Christian Jay Villanueva
It's a very beautiful theater. Since there are two entrances, didn't have to wait long to be let inside. Friendly staff and very clean. Didn't enjoy having the bar open throughout the show so as an FYI, if you're in the orchestra, but near the back by the doors, it gets very distracting when the doors are open over and over, light comes through and the noise at the bar area.
Patrick Lee
Great hidden gem on the UWS that rivals the best on Broadway. No bad seats in this place. Drinks a bit pricey but as to be expected at a theater. Ornate pre-war interior is fantastic. Acoustics are excellent.
Kacper Jarecki
Very beautiful theater. I felt like it had a lot of history. Often during the show, I would just look around and enjoy the architecture and build of the theater. However, the sound was kind of mediocre. But it's a beautiful place, highly recommended to see. Very friendly staff.
Rachel K
The seats arent super steep, so I couldn't see the whole stage over the people in front of me from the back row of the lower balcony, but still a very good time
Holger Matthies
We saw Ludovico Einaudi at the Beacon. The theater is massive! All seats had good views. However, the sound proofing is poor - you could hear every ambulance, every car horn from the street. It was as if they'd left the door open. That would not matter in a rock show, but it disrupted the quiet moments in a classical concert.
Bess Fung (bessfriend)
beautiful old theater that usually books good performers. there's also convenient eateries and stores nearby for food and drinks. good security and checking vaccination passes but not sure what they do if people were not vaccinated because I don't remember getting my temperature checked at the door. other thing that could be improved is helping people get out of the theater. the back way staircases becomes way too crowded and warm, and the crowd doesn't dissipate fast enough at the exit. there is no actual exit strategy in this venue pre and post pandemic which seems management has learned nothing to improve the situation or to maintain safety of patrons. not great for people who have agoraphobia, claustrophobia, or germophobia. really takes addy from the previous hour of enjoyment of performance.
Patrizia Calvio
Very beautiful theatre, I had a wonderful experience!
Itzaira Cambrelén
Was my first time here and just fell in love with the venue. Sound was amazing. Went to see Third Day on June 10th.
Gonzalo Flores
A very nice e experience to watch a show. The interior is pleasant for all types of venue and/or event. In a word, Fantastic.
Karina Soleiman
I saw the Smashing Pumpkins here. The acoustics down where I'm sitting are excellent, but I've sat mezzanine before and it does leave something to be desired because it is an old theater. But the architecture more than makes up for it. And seeing the Pumpkins in a theater setting was kind of surreal. The aggression was completely removed from all of the music, but it was an interesting interpretation.
Naveed Iqbal
Great theater. Saw Dream Theater twice here. Supposed to be the best sounding theater in NYC. Beautiful interior and ceilings.
Erin Bart
A great venue. The staff is courteous and helpful, bathrooms are clean, seats are comfy and every seat in the house has a decent view. The drinks are expensive but not as much as the Broadway theaters and they have a good selection.
Saw Eddie Izzard there and he was hysterical!
Donnalisa
Absolutely stunning theater that doesn't have a bad seat in the house.
J. Taylor
Blondie and Garbage - Rage and Rapture.
Awesome show! Opening act Deap Vally was a surprise that I thoroughly enjoyed - amazing sound those two young ladies put out. 1st time seeing Blondie live, 2nd time seeing Garbage.
Joe PALAMARA
Love this Venue
Thank you Justin and his staff to get in and out of NYC in 15 minutes was awesome I will definitely be back
Elizabeth Welsh
Wonderful place, great theater ar NY!! Bob Dylan and his band are the best of best!! We recommend 100%!!
Patrick Boyle
Most professional staff I've came across in the city. Sound is perfect. Not a bad seat in the house.
Richard Moses
The Beacon is an absolutely beautiful, old venue in Manhattan. It sounds amazing, as well. It's truly a stunning experience to witness a show here. The stage is flanked by two gargantuan gladiator statues. I wish I could say there isn't a bad seat in the house, but be aware, the upper balcony, and the orchestra behind the soundboard are less than ideal spaces.
Jørn “Gmail” Hundebøll
Joined for a concert with earth wind and fire. Seats were ok, light ok, but the sound is not the best and seemed a little too high, causing it to distort.
Shi “Shi” Shi
The Beacon Theater is an oldie but goodie and renovated for longevity. I went when I was a little girl and it's just as warm, welcoming, and fun to enjoy a concert. India Arie and the Beacon staff was awesome.
Jen Lagasse
Beautiful space with more generous seating than a lot of similarly sized venues.
Colette Hebert
Love this place! It's amazing! I've been to so many shows here.
The food and drinks are a little over priced, but it is the UWS. So what do you expect?
The acoustics and ambiance at this venue are incredible. I also love the decor.
The sound is wonderful - I've only sat in the orchestra close to the stage but the view from this location of the audience is always really enjoyable,
I'll definitely be back here for more shows.
M K
Always a great venue. Excellent sound quality and decent comfort.
Willow Glitter Toast
One of the cooler spots to see a show. Gorgeous, obviously, but also great acoustics and relatively comfortable seating (even if you do have to fully get up to let people pass). Assume it's some sort of ordinance thing, but more after-show exits would be nice. Oh, and The National were rad, of course!
K J
This is a beautiful theatre. I saw the Chris Tomlin christmas show here 12/14/17 and totally enjoyed it. The seatings were great and the staff is friendly and polite. I only had one fault with this theatre, the women's restroom is very small and dated. Nevertheless, I would definitely attend events at this theatre again.
Frank Cleveland
Great old venue. Eclectic period mash up architecture that seems.to combine most or Western history. Really good accoustics and Steely Dan was s fantastic
Nick C
Great Venue. Relatively clean, nice theater, and the staff does a good job of getting people in quickly, helping them find their seats and then getting people out quick at the end of the show. I've seen a few comedians here and its great. My only complaint would be the highway robbery they're doing on concessions (I know its NYC but they take it to a new level).
Anthony
Fantastic venue...Plenty of areas to get a drink..friendly staff...great acoustics!
Gisella Craig
Great location if you are sitting in orchestra you can see the artist from really close. Is a small place but very nice.
Monica Moser
Great place to see a show, nice intimate
atmosphere and just a beautiful theatre
W A
Nice theater but the seating arrangements are extremely small. Not a lot of leg room. Good views of the stage tho
Sara HSS
Nice salon , Great view from balcony, good collection of drinks but only popcorn and few snack options. The parking was pricey if you don't want to pay around 60 bucks you'd better get there sooner to find a parking place
Yashica Francis
Saw Pentagon in concert for their world tour! The venue has really great views all around. There’s not that much of an incline so it’s not that ideal for shorter people like myself but the stage was well raised enough that it wasn’t that big a deal.
John Bacon
Easy access to box office. Unfortunately Zach Williams rescheduled for June of next year. Boo to that . Last minute
Darren TheDude
If you want cozy and high class performances in a space so small that every seat is a good seat then this is your place! Ive seen Ringo Starr, Yes, Styx, Patti Smith, Blondie and more in this fantastic venue!
kai chan
Unbelievably ornate and historic place for venues. Acoustics may not be tuned like Carnegie Hall, but makes up for it with character and museum qualities.
Dana Preis
Great, historic theater. I've seen many shows here and always look forward to coming here.
Gao Fang
Saw Sigur Ros there! One of the most amazing concerts I've ever seen! Great sound and lighting, and the interior design is cool to check out too!
Arlev Sanico
Went to a 102.7FM Holiday concert speciql with Alec Benjamin, Julia Michaels, LAUV, and Charlie Puth. It was my first time attending a concert in this theatre. I've been to a lot of concert venues, but this one felt particularly intimate. We were at Orchestra, the bottom bowl and right smack in the middle. The seats were very close to each other, and with winter jackets everywhere, it was quite challenging to excuse yourself without getting close to the seats you are passing. Other than that, sound quality was great and the security was sufficient.
Peter M
Best (large) music venue in NYC. Sound is excellent even in the balcony section. The picture is from the Tedeschi Trucks concert which was awesome as it is every year.
Alejandra Hernandez
Great experience everything was super organized, attempted staff 👌🏽 …
George Salayka
Nice venue. Seating felt a little cramped for a 6ft tall male, even though I'm on the more slender side. Entry was quick and painless going through security. Overall my night was a great experience.
Ashley Rice
Great theatre - one of our favourites in nyc!
Adriano Barrichello
Went in with family for the Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Evening…absolutely fantastic night! Venue, staff and the whole experience at the Beacon Theater was great.
The concert was amazing, truly out of this world - words cannot describe it!!!
Alon Grinshpoon
This place is a fantastic theater! 🎭 The Beacon Theater is a grand hall with over 2800 seats 🪑 suited for plays, stand-ups 🎤, lectures 🗣️ and more. Get here early to avoid long entry lines for sold out shows. The interior design is absolutely stunning! 🤩 I wish I came here earlier! …
Victor J Sarmiento (VJS-Pakal)
We had a great time, the place was great, and the staff went out of their way to help people find their seats and to help them navigate the place. We saw Gary Clark Jr. He was amazing
Potatolle POTATO
Loved seeing Jerry Seinfeld there! The theater is very ornate and interesting. Good acoustics too.
Xiao-fang Ruan
I went here for Ali Wong's show and had a wonderful experience. The seats were comfortable enough for a two hour show. Amenities were good, and pretty standard theatre prices. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just kind of wished there were more bathroom stalls for the end of the show as everyone is trying to use the restrooms before leaving. The theater inside is gorgeous! I believe it was a mixed of roman and romantic themes, with golden etchings and a heavy stone chandelier as a center piece of the ceiling. I wished I could have taken pictures of the inside of the theater. I would recommend going there for a show just so you can see the amazing interior of the theater. Highly recommend. I wished they did tours too to introduce people to the different interior architecture of Broadway theaters including this one. Would have been fun to do :)
Roman Levant
This is a great theater for comedy shows. Not only does it get up-and-comers, but big names headline here too. I've been at shows here probably about ten times already and I have tickets to an upcoming show as well.
Todd B Rosen
Great Venue to attend a concert. Not a bad seat in the house.
Jessica B
Came here to see Jon Lovett last week. Was a pretty good show..I was very impressed by the theater, ambiance and staff who were very pleasant and professional. I would love to come back here again. There's mystique to this venue that brings you back in time in a wonderful way.
Martin Rawlings
Stunning theatre. If there is an event or concert you're interested in taking place here then go. Simple as that.
Shime
Amazing theater, space , but what about that stuff, that kick 🤔 you out in a few sec....OMG. …
Jim Guastavino
My wife cannot stand for long periods. The audience was constantly standing, so she could not see the stage (Ringo Starr concert). We asked the staff if there was anything they could do for her. They upgraded her to a vacant seat in the front row! Thank you Beacon Theatre!
Raptor Man
Would give a 5 but “security” was distracting by flashing vapers and ballon throwers near by me. Tell your security to get a life please
Angie Williams
Beautiful, clean, secure venue with great acoustics, Smokey Robinson was spectacular!
Jodi Coen
Bea-u-ti-ful!
I saw Jethro Tull in the 90s. I just saw the Blue Notes and Stylistics a week ago. They're is no "type", keep am eye out, prices don't need to be heavy to enjoy a great show.
And it's an iconic theater. Worth the visit.
Bill Dickey
Beautiful theater. Saw Seinfeld and enjoyed it immensely.
roy tonnessen
Everything went well. All ID was checked with only covid vaccinated people for entrance. The show was fantastic ...thank you "Fab Faux" 👏👏 …
Clarissa Jimenez
Beautiful theater. Great for an intimate concert or show experience.
Bori WaHi
Amazing comes to mind when I think of The Beacon Theatre. One of New York's gems. From the minute one enters the Rotunda, one feels a transcending feeling in time. The architecture, whether it's in The Orchestra, The Loge, and The Balcony, is awe-inspiring. The venue is simply magnificent. The rich history of the performers which have played at The Beacon is impressive and unparalleled. There are many reasons to go to The Beacon and when you attend a concert there, you'll have your own reasons. An insider's hint, the staff is dedicated and committed to provide and uphold a level of excellence in audiences services and venue management. Don't miss out on visiting The Beacon Theatre.
Robert Schwarz
Excellent place for a concert. Great location and easy to get to. The stage is within reach.
The Eyefuel Group HD Inc

Enjoyed the event and Kevin Smith is a genuine awesome person but the staff of the venue kinda rushed us out the doors
Deborah Green
The show was great! I really enjoyed myself.
Stephanie Rogers
Got to share the Kirk Franklin performance with my family! Also scored points with my mother in law for The Beacon having accessible restrooms. She was able to bring her walker with no difficulty, and the seats were great!
Ray C
The Beacon Theatre is a beautiful venue. The staff was friendly. It holds about 2900 people so there is not a bad seat in the house.
Dylan Link
Absolutely beautiful venue, helpful staff and fast lines!

Nice venue, pretty pricey when it comes to drinks and snacks. Very clean.

Came here for Lindsey Stirling. The theater is nice. I was all the way in the upper balcony. You can see most of the stage except the very front You’ll have to perk up or stand to see if the artist moves to the front edge.
Sharon Akkoul

Jane Kurbatski
Very beautiful place. Great sound and organization. Seats are tiny, though.
Joan Lazar
I’ve been here over 10x and the experience is always phenomenal. Drinks are outrageously priced but what can I expect? The staff getting was friendly and the drink staff is also great. I had a great time.
Jason Wieczorek
Great historic theatre, not too big and not too small so all seats are good seats. Getting to your seat doesn't take too long either, and they do offer food and drink once you're inside.
John Durney
Being the Baby Theater of MSG Entertainment there's not a bad spot in the house . As a matter of fact you ask for the worst seat they have and they'll laugh and tell you they don't have one !!! Love love this place
Daniel Cohen
A historical, beautiful, New York gem. Great performers, great sound, great ambiance, great food and drink options inside and nearby.
Julia Abraham
Gorgeous theater and very well organized. We had a beautiful night.
denise roane
It was amazing we loved the show and the theater is absolutely gorgeous just needs restrooms on all levels!
Sheila Marini
Great venue to see concerts, most seats are pleasant to enjoy the evening. Although
just not behind the sound control on main floor, lights from monitors hinder the stage.
Michael Moreschi
Beautiful theater with an excellent sound system.
Ryan Pease
The new sound system is amazing. I was up against the wall row y sounded like I was next to Trey. Will be back.
Patrick McElligott
Best acoustics anywhere. Mark Knopfler and his brilliant band each one of them accomplished musicians, really took advantage of this.
Smriti Srivatsa
I graduated here!
Great interior decor, I really loved it.
Subpar safety features - the staircases leading upto the stage do not have railings on them. People can fall ! Thank god nobody did.
Lily Talavera
The theater is beautiful, so many details. It is relatively small so no seat is bad. Definitely a special place with so much history.
Wallace Flores
Great place to see a show. Ludovico Einaudi was featured tonight. Awesome!!
The FOH staff, however, need to turn their radios down. Can be heard in the theater and it was quite disturbing.
Brandi L
I saw First Aid Kit here last week. It's a beautiful theatre, and the sound was fantastic. It was crazy hot in there though, at least on the balcony, and the seats are a bit of a squeeze.
Marisol Flores
I can't wait to see who will be performing at this theater next...
Chris Doyle
Historic theatre in the UWS. Has a lot of big name performers and most seats have a great view. Would avoid the upper balcony. Lower balcony is pretty good.
Annakay Whylie
The staff was great and helpful and the show was great too
Tony De
I attended my first show there when I went to see the Joe Bonamassa concert...the theater was fantastic...we sat in the loug section...perfect view of the stage...and the sound system was loud...I will be heading back!
Dave
Amazing theater and amazing sound. If you got a "print your tickets" show, they have a fast process for entering. Our tickets said "must print on paper", but it wasn't a big issue when we got there!
Cathy Veroneau

Jim Toney
What a wonderful venue for music! Th place is absolutely beautiful!
Michelle L. Pacheco
Very professional workers inside the theater. No problems at all. Love the show.
Jayson Stilwell
This place is beautiful and the view seems to be nice no matter where you sit! My only dislike is how close the seats are to one another-- if you're not sitting next to a friend you feel like you're sitting on top of a stranger. Believe it or not, but there's more room on an airplane!
Haylenne Balbuena
The employees that were there for the Angela Aguilar concert were so nice and helpfull. Loved the place very clean and beautiful. Nice job!
Jaidyn F
Saw Jordan Peterson. The theater is BEAUTIFUL and the staff is very nice and helpful. The show was sold out, but everything was ran so smoothly that you could hardly tell how busy it was. Great place

Jacqui Thompson
Beautiful theater and super friendly staff
Martin Hoffman
One of my favorite concert venues in NYC. Not too big, good atmosphere and acoustics.
Frank Kalnberg
Beacon Theatre has landmark status and once inside you could see why. Architecture was designed in great detail as you'll see the chandelier that hangs in the center of the room above the stage. Seats seem to be original and staircases are grand. Great place to see any type of venue, concert, show, etc. Allman Brothers used to take up almost an entire month playing there. I saw Jackson Browne and recently, Sheryl Crow. Food and snacks available. Average cost. Acoustics are amazing! Ticket prices depending on what show are reasonable. Covid vaccination or recent test with proof and ID is a must. I LOVE THIS PLACE! . UPDATE - Lucius concert
Elana S
Perfect sound, beautiful theatre, Amazing architecture!!! Jerry Seinfeld was great
Patrice Schär
The Rooms are clean and meet the expectations. I am very happy with the hotel. Especially that its so close to the city life. I would defently recommend this hotel. But if you choose to come to this hotel then pick a romm over storie 14 because otherwise you wont really have a view.
Michal Halevy
Great sound, not too big, friendly staff
Lee C
Beautiful venue, make sure to look up at the ceilings! If an artist you like is performing, GO!
Angelo Soto
Great venue. Not too far from the stage no matter where you are seated.

Eddie Carroll
The theater is breathtaking. There isn't a bad seat in the house.

Beautiful venue! Good sound system. Terrific shows! Randy Rainbow was the very best!
Gregg Isaacson
One of the best venues to watch comedy and concerts at in New York City! I can't even count the amount of times that I've been there in my 62 years on this planet! They always seem to have a band that I want to see!
Victoria Nicole LeFevre
This theater is very beautiful. The shows are outstanding. A huge social media haven for those who have to share everything because they allow video and photography so long as the talent does not object.
Security tries to stop people from going to the front but allows them to go and take pictures here and there. Thankfully not too many people chose to leave their seats and go to the front to take pictures. We saw four shows at this theater. Every show was outstanding!
The bathroom was clean and the attendant very polite. They have two bars for people who can't have fun without a drink in hand. They also have popcorn on the lower floor! It's a movie goers haven also I guess.
Can't wait to see other shows here.

Theatre since 20's and the architecture is awesome... the sound inside is great
Janice Bonczek
Cute small theater. Some of the upper seats on the edges don't have the best view, but I guess that's to be expected. Still better than a larger theater that needs TV screens. Beautiful old ceiling, etc.
Alan Music
Incredible theater for live music! Beautiful and ornate space that harnesses the acoustics perfectly!
Farhana Shahid
Attended Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova's show here. The ambience of the place definitely added a lot of value. It's a beautiful place with nice indoor architecture and the seating arrangement is really really nice!
Jorge Vargas
This place delivers some KILLER scenic views. Watching a death metal band here would be my dying wish.
Joel Schwartz
Great comfortable theatre. Nice people. Easy to see and hear. Away from the busy crowded Broadway theatre district. I've enjoyed comedy shows and concerts. All great!
Paul faria
Beautiful theater. The seats are a little tight for wider guys like myself but I still found them comfortable. They also had plenty of beverage stations on each floor to keep the lines short. We saw Seinfeld there and the acoustics were great. I would definitely recommend going just to see the interior. It is a style that would be hard to replicate today.
Claudia Falz
Beautiful theater to see a concert
Sydney K
The staff here was great! Very helpful, organized and actually knowledgeable about the event going on, which is oddly not typical of most concert venues I've gone to. The venue is absolutely gorgeous inside. I don't recommend hitting the concessions unless you want to pay $5.50 for a 20 ounce bottle of soda. Still, I hope I get to go back to this venue soon.
Ken Godfrey
Beautiful old theater, not a bad seat in the house. Great place to see a show.
Bruce Levin
This is one of the greatest places anywhere to see a concert. The venue itself is absolutely stunning to be in and see all of the ornamentation. The acoustics are above average and you just feel very close to the performer. Been here lots of times and always look forward to returning!

The 'Go To' venue for concerts!!

Amazing venue. Incredible sound. Be sure to get food and drinks beforehand as the prices are ludicrous.
Christopher Gordon
My favorite place for a concert. I do miss the Allman Bros.
Paul Hoover
I mean it was fine. My one regret was that the bathrooms weren’t all that great. But it’s a fine venue nonetheless. We really enjoyed the show!
PJS
5 stars for the fact that they use the Yodr pouches for cellphones. Made Ali Wong that much more enjoyable!!

Sat in row 12 for Darius Rucker. It was a BLAST! He's a great performer live. Sound was good. House was packed. Energy was electric.
Staceygaye Mcrae
The price is great and the shows are really nice. They have really nice guests.
Mindy Ramirez
Had a great time here watching Erasure. The theater is very nice. The seats have plenty of leg room. Best part is being able to take your food and drink to your seats. We sat on the second tier and had a great view of the concert. For this section, I would say the seats were very cheap. I will always love going to this place.
Frank Li
Saw Ali Wong here and loved the atmosphere! Staff are super friendly. Bathroom is in the basement. There are two entrances, bht it didn’t seem like the one on Amsterdam was any faster… hm.. they have boxed popcorn until they run out
Stuff Cherry
The Stylistics and The Emotions were amazing❤️but the Stylistics sound so much better in person🎤and when the leader serenaded me I was on cloud 10,000💃🏽👀🔥💙🤩 …

Beautiful theatre with outstanding acoustics. Came to see Wilco and can't wait to go back.

Great place to see a show but the prices for drinks are a bit steep. I was a bit disappointed with the sound quality but over all it's a nice theater to see a show.

Gorgeous theatre inside! Seems like it is difficult to have a bad seat for viewing the stage. Great sound quality as well. Bathrooms located on the lower and upper floors. Bottles of water will cost you 5.50 each though.
Elisa Colombini
The concert was amazing. The theatre is beautiful
Roger Tichi
Staff are friendly in a beautiful place in NYC. Love it.
Tom Browne
Great venue in a historic building, great acoustics, a bit worn but considering the schedule it's held up well.
The on site staff are all stellar and very helpful and accommodating. A really great place.
Rachel Berls
Beautiful theater with great acoustics! I sat in the front row of the lower balcony and had a great view. The location of the theater was great. There were many parking garages and tons of restaurants nearby. I would definitely attend more concerts here!

The Beacon Theatre is a time-capsule of the past and currently a vibrant and energetic venue. It should be on your list of "Must See Things in NYC." As a new usher, I am excited and honored to work at The Beacon Theatre.
Pablo Komustic
Nice place but seats are s bit tight.
Timothy J. Mannion
Great venue for anything you want to see!
Ryan George
Have been to The Beacon multiple times and have seen events from all different levels and it always sounds great. Absolutely beautiful old building.
Tienne Vu
Beautiful theatre wherein it was an intimate setting to see Professor Brian Cox's lecture on the universe. Highly recommend as it was entertaining as well as educational.
Aditya Gupta
Went to see Chris Cornell and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The place itself is legendary and has a history of great performances
Jim Messina
Good venue for live music!
Jonathan Daspin
What an exceptional venue for music and a good time.
Jamie ODell
Beautiful venue!! Had seats in the loge and they were great. You have plenty of room to sit or stand during a concert. Sound was excellent, definitely will come back.
Robert Douglas
We attended the OAR and Friends benefit there. Very nice, clean theatre.
Matt
Good, but was chided by a confused security scanner for having an e-cigarette, warning me not to smoke inside. If that is your job the prevalence of ecigs should be obvious, you should know exactly what they are on sight and having one should not lead to the presumption I will or have a desire to smoke it inside. I doubt anyone who displayed a pack of cigarettes would be told the same warning.
Frank R
I love this theater. The decor is spectacular, almost Radio City like but different style. You can see from anywhere and hear very well too. Here's something...the bathrooms are clean. A lot of venues can't say that. Drinks can be bought there too but you'll pay the usual theater prices. The staff checks you in quickly and politely so if there is an act playing there you want to see, the Beacon is a great place to go.
Todd Szopo
Great staff. Security respectful. Amazing sound.
Pieter Sommen
Gloriously restored theater. Very comfortable seats, most of which have a good line of view on the stage. Good sound system, that in our experience is usually calibrated right: instruments mostly don't overwhelm the vocals
Rita Pearson
This theater is really beautiful!
The decor was so nostalgic and full of charm. The seats were really comfortable. What also stood out to me was the lady who worked in the ladies room. She attended to your every need and made sure you had everything you need and were having a good time. Such a caring lady!
I traveled there from Virginia to see my favorite bands farewell tour. Highly recommended theater!
Ed D
Great place to see a concert.
Kenny Mueller
Great concert hall. Holds under 3000 concert goers. Sound was great.
T F
Great venue, brutal drink pricing as expected
Kevin Platt
The best place to see a concert in NY. Great acoustics and not a bad seat in the house.
Ruth
Beautiful theater. Nice acoustics. Chairs comfortable me but tight fit for bigger people.
Only big complaint is that there appears to be only one [female] bathroom. Line was so long I had to hold it till I got out and reached the restaurant I was having dinner at, in the other end of the city!! Couldn't go when the show finished because the wave of people blocked passage to the bathroom.

Beautiful theater... excellent staff
