these shows are so nice!! they always impress with the singing and dancing and acting. i love going here around the holidays. you wouldn’t be disappointed with the performance !! i recommend going here on the weekends because you can get dressed up as it is such a historic building. the kids are so great, keep doing what your doing!

This is a amazing venue. Yes it is small and could use some updating, but the performance we saw was absolutely amazing. The costumes were spot on to the movie and you can tell how hard and dedicated these kids are to their craft. My hats off to all the kids and the team that make these shows possible. Oh almost forgot we went to see Frozen Jr. And I will definitely go back again.

The Delaware Children's Theater is great! I have performed there and seen shows there. The staff is very hard working and cast the most talented actors/actresses. They also accept adults in some performances. Worth looking into if you are considering being on stage or looking for amazing entertainment!

I recommend going to the Delaware Children’s Theatre in Wilmington for the following reasons: 1. It is a real, live theatre experience, directed and performed by professionally trained directors and actors along with talented children in age appropriate roles. 2. Each show features live music performed by their own Pit Orchestra, and beautifully designed sets and costumes. The theatre itself is listed as on the National Register of Historic places. 3. For a little more than the price of a movie, it is a great value, and the cost of concessions is nominal. Front row seats are the same cost as any other seat, and they have a really cool balcony. Plus you can meet and take photos with the cast at the end of each show. 4. Plays allow children to live in a pretend world, and I see kids at the theatre fully engaged mentally and emotionally. The actors lead us through the story and the children are pretending right along with them. Young and old alike take the journey together, which is a thrilling and special experience a family can share together, something uncommon in this age of technology.

I hope I can instill the love of theater in my kids... just as the DCT did for me in the 1980s. It is an accessible, historic building that is a great place for families to experience a show. Take your kids, grandkids, give tickets as a gift. Seeing a performance with kids can be magical.

Simple Meets Adventure

Wonderful theater that is friendly to all ages. Our girls just ate it up and were so excited to meet Bell. In fact our 6 year old continues to call herself Bell because of her particular love for such an amazing and compassionate princess.

Took 5 year old daughter and friend. Thoroughly enjoyed the Wizard of Oz!! Excellent actors and a very well done production. Will be back to see another play in the near future!!

Delaware Children's Theatre is wonderful! I took my daughter for her 5th birthday to see Cinderella, she loved it! The parade of princesses was so adorable and the show was spectacular! A must again and again!

Great show, saw Shrek. Wasn't sure exactly what to expect...very well done. Very similar to seeing Beauty and the Beast at Longwood Gardens, with more kids in the show.

It was very hot in the lobby and hall. The restroom was clean but not accommodating for two people. As a new parent, I was very unclear of how everything worked. I will attend again
