I love coming here, they have a great variety of performances. I've enjoyed every single one I've watched here. Good sound, great views, good set design.

Went to see ballet company m put on the nutcracker. There was great enthusiasm and they clearly had fun putting on the show. Very cozy venue. Sat in the first elevated row all the way in the front. Definitely would see another performance there. Three shouts for company m!

Wonderful production of As You Like It in the Kogod Theatre. I only deducted one star because the seating was somewhat precarious...I was wearing a therapeutic boot and felt the distance between rows of seats was too narrow. Also it was too narrow for people to pass and elderly to walk.

Saw King Lear by the Maryland Shakespeare Players on 5/13/2022. It runs for 2 more shows, and is a fantastic production in an intimate theater setting. Thos is a very talented cast! See it if you can!

BlackLight is, by far, the best event that I've attended here. It's held in February, and highlights the best artists and performers from across the nation! The Clarice is a great venue for medium to small sized performances and their choice of performances are unique and dazzling.

It's an interesting place. Students who are new to this building may get thoroughly lost first day, as I did. The building is really two buildings (the music dpt and the theatre dpt) wedded into one building by a hallway. That being said, the theatre dpt (main room) is nice, large, and modern, and it also includes a coffee shop. There are several large classrooms in the building designed for performance based arts. The music section has more classrooms that are smaller than the theatre ones, which is useful for music students that need practice rooms, but confusing for anyone else.

This is one of the best aspects of the University of Maryland College Park. The abundance of talent is astounding, and there are many free events ranging from solo recitals to full student orchestra events. Parking, however is at a premium, with very few visitor spaces that are not particularly convenient to the building.

Wonderful venue, beautiful modern architecture and clean spaces. The recital Halls are spacious and the personnel is helpful. Everywhere is ADA compliant, but it might be hard spotting an elevator to take up multiple levels. On the plus side, during events there is a staffed bar with libations and coffee. Hallelujah!

I really enjoyed the performance especially that they incorporated the students and other staff into the performance in the end. The theater was intimate yet spacious at the same time. Parking is straight across from the building which was convenient. The only problem I had was finding the building to begin with, especially since it was my first time on the campus. I wish they promoted the event a but more for people to know where they were going. We bumped into a student studying science and even she was lost.

Always enjoy concerts at this beautiful venue. The student performers are superb. We have a parking pass which is very handy. It is conveniently located for us.

The place is great. The performance of the UM summer music camp participants(5-7th grades, 8-10th) for string and chorus was excellent. I would like to to give it a 5star but we received a $75 dollars parking ticket for parking at the area where we usually park when we went to see a show at Clarice Smith. That is painful. But there was no obvious warning about the parking rules. So beware.

Took a tour with Paige to prep my teen for her volunteering opportunity and she was amazing. Paige gave so much info we didn't have any questions at the end of the tour!! Beautiful building inside and out, the theaters just like the building all have a story which drew me closer to the arts & made my daughter even more excited about her opportunity

The Dekelboum Concert Hall, as well as many of the other concert halls, are extremely well furnished, with wood accenting many parts of the center. The practice rooms are numerous. While the center has a lot of natural grandeur, smaller concert halls are available for private concerts or recitals. Everything feels so professional and the center is dedicated to a great student body experience.

I most recently visited the Clarice for the UMD Wind Band's Halloween Haunt to support a friend, and have visited numerous times in the past. The Clarice features very talented student and faculty performers in a variety of different genres, from dance to music to theater of all kinds. I have never had a poor experience here and would encourage you to get out to support and enjoy the talent of local performers!

This is a umcp facility. As a state University it has more than adequate handicap bathrooms and seating. It was well appointed and convenient to get to.

An amazing building. There is always something going on, but parking is a hassle. If you are going after 4pm or on weekends, then park in lot 1 not the garage right across from it.
