Love this venue!! I play here regularly with Symphonicity and really appreciate the friendly and professional staff/employees. The atmosphere is ideal for an audience member as well - great acoustics, seating and stage. Definitely well worth it to attend a show here, highly recommend!

Saw the Patsy Cline play with my family. The play was fantastic, but as a venue, it's beautifully designed with a nice layout. The snack bars had fair prices and friendly volunteers. The theater was also accessible and located near many stores and restaurants.

Small, but very clean and neat theater. Each seat has a good view of the stage. Seats are also very large, so I didn't feel crammed and had lots of space between the person next to me. There's a concession stand as well as coat check. Plenty of free parking.

We have attended numerous shows here. Acoustics are wonderful. Access is easy. The downside is one concession window. Parking readily available. There are plenty of places to eat before or after a show.

They do have good shows here sometimes, but parking is a hassle at Town Center. And if you're handicapped, the few spaces in the parking garage for the disabled fill up fast. There are long walks if you can't get one of those half dozen or so spaces. Also you can't take your own beverages in, which is fairly standard and understandable. But their concession lines to buy water or coffee there are too long to be handled during intermission, and they've run out of several things the last couple of times I was there. Also the last couple of times I went, you had to buy from Ticketmaster and install the Ticketmaster app on your phone. They can pull you out of line and print you a ticket from your emailed info, which I was led to believe was a ticket but it wasn't, if you don't have room for another app or don't want the added security vulnerability. But I liked their old ticket system better, especially with Ticketmaster being in the news for its ticket problems lately. Otherwise the venue is small enough that every seat is pretty good.

The last "out of the box" concert of the season with local Blues man Bobby Blackhat was sensational. The Sandler Center lobby worked perfectly, they had a nice selection of beer and wine and the music was fantastic.

We visited this venue to experience the annual Dance Dimensions recital. The Sandler Center has always provided a classy and comfortable environment to enjoy an array of performances. The ushers were pleasant, and the ladies at the concession stand were delightful. I have been here as a chaperone on field trips also, and they still did not disappoint. I look forward to the next event at this center for the performing arts.

This is a very convenient venue. The place is very well kept. There are different levels. While attending a concert, I actually enjoy being in the front row on one of the two balconies. This allows you to have the option of remaining seated without having anyone obstructing your view of the stage. There are plenty of parking options around. Fortunately, the garages around are free. There are also several restaurants in the area.

There was a mix up with our tickets for Pattin Oswald. The box office people were absolutely lovey and fixed it with a minimum of fuss. And they changed us to the handicapped row, since I was in a wheelchair ( I wasn't when we bought the tickets). Without us asking. Everyone was kind and it's a beautiful venue.

My first time at the Sandler Center was yesterday and it's been here for years. I attended the Price is Right and won the grand prize lol. The Sandler Center is located in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach. With parking everywhere, it is kind of impossible to say that you can't find parking. There are opinions of streets, lots, and garages all over. There are so many restaurants around to grab a quick bite to eat prior to seeing a show. The center has great architecture. Very sleek in design with also a feel of classy. There are so many seats in the building, you cannot have a bad seat. While attending the Price is Right Live, my family and I ended up getting balcony seats. The elevators will help you get from one floor to another quickly or you can take the stairs. During some events, there will be concessions. Nice to know that the first memory of being at the Sandler Center will be when I won a $2,100 fridge during the Price is Right. I cannot wait to come back for more shows in the future.

We saw a wonderful performance of the Nutcracker. The nearby restaurants were packed but we managed to get a table and eat with just enough time to make the show

Great place for Art showings as well as recitals. This past visit it was a bit warm in theater before the performance, then it was so cold, that my leg went numb. The ushers behind us were VERY chatty and I didn't appreciate that during the dance recital.

It is an amazing place to sing because the acoustics are wonderful. Virginia Voices International had its Christmas show there on Dec. 5, 2019. The staff were so accommodating and went above and beyond to help us.

I saw masters of illusion there and it was a good show. The sound and atmosphere were good. Parking wasnt bad. The only negative thing is, the seating is very close and makes it hard to get by people who are already seated, or for people to get by you when your seated. It's worse than the movie theatre for sure. That's what kept it from 5 stars for me.

I am a production leader for a National Dance Competition that host a couple shows a year here. This venue is absolutely beautiful. Every show we do with this venue we find they are constantly on the top of everything. It’s calming to know a venue has a competent staff and willing to go above and beyond for not only our dancers and their family, but the Dance Staff too. First time at the Sandler Center... We had Orchestra Box B seats, and they were great. There was lots of leg room, and we could angle our chairs towards the stage. Because the chairs are not connected, like the stadium seating in the center orchestra, there was a lot of elbow room, too. Tip: Bring a bottled drink or buy the sippy cup at the bar. No open lid drinks allowed in the theater. But the sippy cups are reusable for future shows!

Great place to see a show. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house and fantastic acoustics. I have seen Kansas and Toto so far and both shows were well worth the price of admission. Save the $14+ online fees and get your tickets at the box office.

Highly competent and very pleasant salesperson. The performance was lovely. Had a good time.My new annual Christmas tradition in Virginia Beach. Nothing more beautiful than le 🩰. The skill, the elegance, the sets, the orchestra - such a lovely experience. The audience here - not so much!

I actually live down the street and wanted to come here but nothing had really interested me until I saw that Patti Labelle would be here on June 26th. Super excited so I went to purchase tickets and saw that they had a contest for Mother’s Day. I told my children about it and watched the contest hourly.There wasn’t a lot of entries so I figured I had a great chance, unfortunately I didn’t win but I did address my frustration to the venue and they actually were kind enough to reach out to me to address my concerns. That alone made my day and totally changed my perception about the company. I ended up receiving a ticket for a gift and I can’t wait until then. Moral of the story wait until someone has the chance to address your concerns before you act negatively most things can be resolved with a simple conversation. I’ll be back to update my experience after the concert but until then keep on supporting Sandler Center!!!

The venue itself is located in a nice, calm town center area. I came to see Tianwa Yang’s oerfmance with the VSO. Hearing the Virginia Orchestra Symphony live in the auditorium was fantastic. The instruments sounded full and in perfect unison throughout each and every movement of the performance. I look forward to coming here more often for their future events. 😀

Absolutely astonishing! Went to watch the Nutcracker being performed and the theatre itself was elegantly structured and remarkably designed. The Sandle Center is an excellent performancing arts center venue with stadium seating, an excellent atmosphere, and a quality sound system. Since it's centrally located in Virginia Beach's Town Center, there are a plethora of great restaurants within walking distance.

The staff was amazing I can't say enough! From the wonderful Andrea up to the house manager. They were a HUGE help to my dog and I as soon as we approached the building and by adding another ticket next to me at last notice. We were escorted straight to elevators and directly to our awesome seats in the Mezz. The only downside I would say are the type of flashlights being used durring the preformance; they need to be a bit dimmer and directed beams to not cause such a distraction.

Lovely professional venue for the Arts in Virginia Beach, including performances by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Symphonicity, Virginia Stage Company, Big-Name Concerts, Jazz, Dance Companies, Musicals, Comedy, and many more diverse offerings. All seats in the Orchestra and Mezzanine are great! Balcony is a little high up and steep. Always a wonderful evening out!

Disappointed. Policy clearly states that the center will follow covid guidelines of the performing organization. The show was specifically a daytime show for children, with strict masking requirements. However when people took their masks off once inside and I asked the ushers for assistance I was told they can't do anything about it. We came out only because all of the advertising was that this would be a fully masked and distanced event, but it was just a free for all.

It was very easy to locate first of all and public parking is close by for free. I felt everyone was very friendly at the entrance and the bar. Our seats were comfortable as well. The interior looked updated with this cool woodworking that resembled a nest of sorts or pickup sticks? I would definitely return for a concert performance!!! Highly recommend you go!

I took my mother to see the Virginia Symphony Orchestra for their Christmas Pops concert and we had a lovely time. Plenty of free parking, close to restaurants and the plaza was all decorated for the holidays.

This is a fantastic venue - especially for comedy. I think the most outstanding quality of this joint is the employees - I spoke with many of them while I was there, and they were all fantastic and very helpful! Heck, they even helped me move my seat when my neighbors were a bit too intoxicated for me to hear the jokes the headliner was telling. The Sandler Center is very clean and well-kept, and quite up to par with other venues I've visited across the country. Great place for a show, I'm sure it would be fantastic for a symphony or play - heck, just about anything. Also, I'm not sure if I lucked out or something, but I managed free parking. That was a nice plus!

Our experience was amazing! We attended a concert of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. The facilities were clean and the staff were extremely accommodating. The disability seating was a little difficult as we had a party of three (one was a minor) and naturally we wanted to sit as a family. We purchased three tickets and called in advance and were told who to meet. We had a lot of undo stress before the show because we were told we could not be seated together because of the layout of the box area. My husband ended up sitting in a folding chair so he could stay with our son and me. It was unexpected and stressful, but the staff were kind during the show (except the usher who insisted my husband couldn't sit in the seat and I wanted to scream...). The usher switched his seat for a different chair in the middle of the show - it was quite distracting. I was just happy to be out of the house. Now I'm not sure what rating to give. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Beautiful spot, nice acoustics, good selection of talent coming through. Way better than Chrysler ...more intimate and much prettier. Good size for the local area. Ample parking garages for easy access is a nice bonus and lots of places for a cocktail or meal, before and after. Nice date night

Very long & emotional story short. My grandfather is in critical care due to covid. He's like a father to me. Many memories of Travis Tritt tunes with him when I was little. While my grandfather is not doing well in the ICU, my husband got me Travis Tritt tickets at the sandler center to cheer me up. However, Travis Tritt and his tour aren't requiring masks or vaccine cards or really any protection (in fact he's selling merch joking vaccinated ppl)- and the center is apparently fine with this. So us vaccinated and masked people get to feel unsafe the ENTIRE show or lose out on the price we paid. UPDATE: The center kindly refunded us

Street and garage parking but you still need to allow time to walk a little bit. There's a courtyard in front of the main entrance that is large enough to accommodate a weekly summer Farmers market, vendors, band. be aware there are streets on either side that have parking, but you would have to be an early bird for that. Friendly ushers, okay I know some of them from performing organizations, and I think it's a great idea to have these volunteers greet us, welcome us, and usher us into the performances. Comfortable seating, good views everywhere, always enjoy going to the Sandler, and so happy Va Beach has this venue for so many excellent performers, international, national, regional, and local. Thanks! Could someone please donate a good quality rehearsal piano for the Miller studio/rehearsal hall? It's sorely needed.

Class act from top to bottom. This place is lovely, well run and just generally spectacular. Every show we've been to here has been a good time, and the ticket prices are more than reasonable. There is not a bad seat in the house, and acoustics are incredible.

We visited here for a dance competition. The restrooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and I loved that the dressing room had a bathroom inside. There was 2 hour parking all around which made it a little difficult on long days, but if you stay at a nearby hotel it's easy to walk to and located near a shopping center and plenty of food places as well.

We hosted a show for elementary school aged students at the Sandler Center. The staff was exceptional! They were all very kind and very helpful. We had some hiccups and the staff was so quick to roll with the punches. I would recommend them to anyone looking to put on a show.

This was the first time in the Sandler Center and I absolutely loved it. The seating, and the just the facility was wonderful. I venture east from Richmond to see different types of entertainment and I can surely say that if the Sandler have more of what I enjoy, I will be making this my new home for entertainment pleasure. The staff, for the time of my interaction were very helpful and they made you feel welcome. If you are looking for a great place to experience your love of the Arts, the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is the place.

Very nice experience. Most centers have it either too cold or too hot a very comfortable temp was held and room in the seats. You dont feel like you are squeezed in like sardines. Will be coming back to enjoy more shows and concerts

This may be the best venue I've heard music or played in. I used to play in Symphonicity (The Virginia Beach Symphony) and the ability to hear sections across the orchestra while playing or listening to the music out in the hall was absolutely superb. The interior design of the concert hall is modern and beautiful. I love this place. I attended a concert here of Harry Connick Jr, and he kept saying throughout the concert, what a great place this is to perform in. High praise from a great musician. Plenty of parking in the area and plenty of places to shop and eat.

Cool venue for show. Recently went there to see Deja play The Wall and it was awesome. A few problems with drinks, only one concession open, and the line took forever. Compounding that were the sweet ladies manning that bar who clearly weren't bartenders, lol. Give them some training or bring in some college kids who know how to pour a beer. Last, and I know to expect overpriced everything at every venue, but to take one's drink into the show an $8 sippy cup had to be purchased. Good grief.

Extremely elegant and quaint venue. The Sandler Center has great acoustics and three levels of seating. The second level is the favored section, so get in line if your event is general admission. The location has to parking garages next to it.

Love this place for plays and concerts. All seats are good and the sound sure beats Chrysler Hall in Norfolk. Parking is easy, too, and plenty of restaurants to go to right around the corner.

We attended the Sandler Center for the premier of The Human Element presented by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. The staff is friendly and the venue is well maintained. We highly recommend making plans to attend to support the performing arts, music, and special events at the Sandler Center.

The Sandler Center is a beautiful venue to catch a show. But we don't go there nearly as often as we'd like because just like every other establishment in Town Center it is super expensive! It's a smaller, intimate type venue & it's like they try to make up for it by charging twice as much per ticket. A real shame for those who either can't afford it or refuse to pay that kind of money to catch some decent live music!

I watched Travis Tritt perform here. The concert was very nice without a bad seat in the house. It's a small place with about 1500 seats. My only complaint is the $8 sippy cup they force you to buy if you want a drink inside the theater. You can chug in the hallway if you'd like and not have to purchase the sippy....which is what I did 🍻

The main theatre is beautiful and a fantastic place to view a performance. The black box theatre is a great room for small performances and events. I especially have enjoyed the "Out of the box" concerts there.

Beautiful building...only thing that kept this from being 5 stars is parking. My mother can't walk long distances and even handicap parking is a hike. She was unable to attend her granddaughters All City Band concert because of this.

First time visiting here for a graduation (Virginia Culinary School) very nice facility. There was a reception prior to the graduation where some of the students prepared appetizers which were excellent by the way. Nice place I would go again.

Very nice. Small enough to where every seat, is a good seat, but big enough to hear the full sound of the orchestra. Parking is horrendous, so arrive at least an hour before start time

I really enjoyed the show (Virginia Symphony Orchestra) however, I felt a bit shamed by the staff. My girlfriend and I went together as an afternoon outing (I didnt know where we were going). As its springtime, I put on jeans and a shirt, which was underdressed. The other showgoers didnt care, because let's be honest, who really does, but the staff were subtly rude. It made me uncomfortable. I just wanted to enjoy the show.

My only complaint was the over zealous, very intrusive elderly security lady who made it her mission to threaten people she was going to get security to have them removed from the concert because they were video taping Amos Lee. Is videotaping against the policies? Yes. Was 1/3 to 1/2 of the audience videotaping? Yes. Is it her job to stop videotaping? Maybe. Did she actually succeed in having the select few she targeted out of many videotapers in the back left corner of the theater stop videotaping? NO. She only succeeded in distracting us who were not videotaping. Sigh....
