As a Cuban family we went to go see Christmas Contigo. It was hilarious to watch the characters portray, what a Cuban family does pretty much every Christmas. This is truly a heartfelt, fun, and proper interpretation of my culture, which is so often under and poorly represented.

Intimate theatre w/ comfortable seats. The art work on the walls was fabulous!! Staff incredibly friendly and nice.. More signs are needed outside, especially by the parking garage, for first timers to find the theatre though..it took us 10+ minutes to find it after we parked.

Every time I enter this theatoe, I am transported into the character's world. The stage is beautifully crafted, the effects are spectacularly executed, and the actors are just phenomenal! I love this place so much and all the people there are just so amazing!

We consistently have a great experience at this small theater in Tampa's channelside district. So much so we finally became subscribers a few years back. This is intimate theater at its best. The acting is excellent, and the stagecraft does a great job of putting you in the place of the show.

The best shows in all of Tampa Bay! The performers are always on point. I love black box theatre. If you haven’t been, check it out. Only 99 seats so every seat is perfect! No microphones bc there isn’t a need! You are immersed in the production yourself! I see nearly every show there!

An intimate 100 seat theater with stadium style seating. Saw Evil Dead The Musical on opening night on 10/22/21. What a great show, highly recommended. Very entertaining with lots of laughs. The theater and show were much better than I expected. I will be going back to see additional shows in the future.

Wow! What a show. Spouse and I had the pleasure of visiting the Stageworks Theatre on the final weekend of The Diary of Anne Frank. What an amazing experience. Each performer was perfectly cast, compelling in their character, and humbling to watch. I left there feeling exactly the way you should feel when you experience this story - heartbroken but ignited for progress and equality.

I have enjoyed every show I've seen at Stageworks. Most recently was "The Diary of Anne Frank." For obvious reasons - this is a difficult show. However, the Stageworks production was by far the BEST I have ever seen. From the development of the characters, the dealing with difficult topics, drawing you into the story, handling of conflict and so much more was absolutely masterful. Karla Hartley outdid herself and the cast responded amazingly. Tampa is incredibly fortunate to have this gem of a theater.

Intimate little theatre. We saw Anna In The Tropics, it was a wonderful experience. My only issue was with some of the patrons, who thought it was OK to talk throughout the entire performance.

First time I've been here. It was a good experience. The acting and content were great. Only negative was the person who made my phone reservation pretended to secure me reserve seating in the theater on the first row. She said I would love the location of the seats. She spent time discussing the benefits of the different locations. Upon arrival, I was told there was no reserve seating. Why someone would mislead a patron like that is beyond me.

As I have mobility issues, I really appreciated the assistance I received. The theater was "cozy." And I knew I would like the play because I had a family member in it.

Great little theatre. It's fairly small and every seat appears to be a good one. Productions have always been very solid and the actors were excellent. STaff appears to be mostly volunteers, but they've always been helpful. They have a little bar with beer and wine that opens a little before each showing.

I saw "The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity" on Saturday at the 8pm Show. And was amazed. I was a Indie Worker (Small time Pro Wrestler) 20 years ago and was really impressed with the Performances, use of Terminology, Just the overall experience. It's a small intimate Venue and I think this added to the Experience. I loved the Show so much I hung the Lobby Card in my Office to remind me of it. Thanks for a great Evening.

Always interesting shows with good acting. A community theatre feel, but a step above. Huge space - vertically - but a small venue. Parking garage is one of the worst we have ever encountered. Free parking for two hours (just shy of a normal show) and the machine doesn't accept credit cards. Important to have excellent brakes as the exit is also on a steep slope. Theatre is great, parking is awful.

Intimate theater and professional productions. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. My daughter has a visual impairment and the staff made preparations to ensure she was seated close to the door and front row. Highly recommend!

Lovely experience at Avenue Q tonight. IMPORTANT TIP : Pay attention to the advice on your ticket Re : GPS NAVIGATION. The address of the theater is about 1/3rd of a mile away from where your GPS will take you. Make sure to type 1208 E Kennedy which is literally across the street. Apart from that enjoy the show.

This place makes the most of its small theater! I saw Avenue Q there & enjoy both the show & the atmosphere. They have everything you expect of a larger theater; including men/women restrooms, box office/will call, and a concession stand. The concession stand served both alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks. I am not sure of what food they served bc I did ask, so I cannot comment on that. Seats are comfy & in stadium seating fashion. Just a bit cramped, hence the 4 out of 5.

Stage Works Theater provides a small intimate theater for musicals and various performances in Downtown Tampa / Channelside area. There is 2 hours of free parking in the garage. I enjoyed watching the great Gatsby and Psycho Beach Party here. This is Tampa's longest running theatre, open for over 30 years. We're located in the Channel District of Downtown Tampa.

Cozy theater in a very hidden but convenient location near channel side. You are never more than 40 feet from center stage and can really see the expressions in the actors eyes.

Providing a true "off-broadway" feel, Stageworks is well known amongst Tampa theatre goers. Located in the trendy Channelside area it offers a season of theatric adaptations of nationally known works as well as newer scripts by not-yet-known authors. Well worth the ticket prices! Excellent venue for a night on the town, with some local eateries around the ground floor plaza. Cruise line passengers will delight in finding this hidden Tampa gem.

I was thrilled about the opening night since I've been to a plethora plays in Chicago; however, the play was a disappointment; there was no eye contact, acting was forced and due to unforeseen circumstances, one of the actresses was reading the script of her notes - completely unacceptable!
