A beautiful theater. If you are tall like me just be forewarned that there is zero leg space in the balcony seating. Very cramped up there but the view is perfect regardless!

I took my granddaughter to the opening of A Christmas Carol on 12-17-2022. It was FANTASTIC! Everything was perfect! I can't say enough praise to everyone from the cast, sets, lighting, director etc. We both enjoyed it very much and we will have made another beautiful memory! Please let Tom Roberts know he especially did such a fantastic job as Scrooge! I cried at the end as it warmed my heart. Thank you to everyone and your staff were also fantastic and helpful!

Attended the bike summit at the Orpheum. Noisy upstairs on the mezzanine to listen to presentations but it was tolerable. Decent location for exhibits and vendor spaces in the theater.

Outstanding venue! I did a private event there tonight... But I will definitely be back to perform on the orpheum theater stage. The venue holds about seven hundred spectators. Outstanding crew and a great layout. it's a historic location but everything has been updated and modernized inside so you get the best of both. I highly recommend if you are planning a private eventfor up to 125 people this might be the perfect location for you.

Beautiful old theater with all the details intact. They had our tickets we purchased online already waiting for us. Seats were fairly comfortable for our two and a half hour show (not a lot of leg room and no cupholders for the concessions). We had balcony seats but I didn't feel like they impeded our view of the show, and the sound system made it so we didn't feel like we were far away. When my husband went to the bathroom during the intermission he said they had taken over one of the men's bathrooms for a womans bathroom, leaving one small bathroom for all the men in the whole building to try to get through during a 15 minute intermission. They really should remodel if what they have is not sufficient. Also, it was quite cold even for my husband who is never cold.

We attended "A Christmas Carol" at the Orpheum Theater on December 10th. It was spectacular and Tom Roberts as Ebenezer Scrooge was over-the-top incredible and gave a wonderful performance. The entire cast did such a great job. This WILL become a local Christmas classic that will be a "must see". Can't wait until next year's performance! And the Orpheum is such a beautifully restored small theater. There is not a bad seat in the house.

Went to a play there with my neighbor. It's a beautiful theater and the play was excellent. The only unfortunate thing was a piano was sitting in the corner of the stage right where our seats were, so occasionally we could not see what was happening up on that side. After intermission, we moved to some empty seats and had an unobstructed view of the rest of the play. Very enjoyable evening.

Watched several plays and ballet here. The feel of the stage and seating area is warm / comfortable. Almost like being at home, but not. The building layout is a bit strange, you enter a modern entry way and time warp to the 50's in the theater. The acoustics are outstanding for a theater. Concessions and prices for tickets can be a bit steep, excellent date night for a more mature crowd.

Iwas invited to go by a friend. We had front row seats to the show, A 1,2. None closer. The bands each performed two sets and they were spot on " Rolling Stones and The Beatles " tributes. What a great time with the best show I've seen in years. The band numbers were fantastic musicians and had beautifully staged their shows. Great sh I w Nd I loved ❤ it!

I have had the pleasure of doing multiple photo shoots at the Orpheum Theater. The staff are incredibly accommodating and happy to help. photos always look amazing because of how well-designed the facility is and how well it has been capped up. The lighting is brilliant and I enjoy every moment I get at this theater.

Great venue! I was the photographer for a wedding last weekend and this was amazing! So many places nearby to walk to for pictures! And being downtown was amazing! The staff was so friendly and accomodating and made every effort to make sure I had every thing I needed as the photographer! I will definitely be referring my clients to the Orpheum for their wedding needs! Thank you!!

I like this place. You can just feel the history here. I always picture roaring twenties flapper girls... but that may not have anything to do with the theater. I don't know if it's haunted or not, but if it is, then it's haunted in a groovy way. This place is first rate groovy! Go here and watch a show. You'll be glad you did.

This venue was absolutely perfect for both my wedding ceremony and reception. Plenty of great places to take beautiful photos too! The staff went above and beyond to keep catering within my budget, answer all my questions, and give better suggestions and recommendations for how to set up/run my big event. It was also great to have dressing rooms for getting ready and someone who could run sound and lighting for the ceremony. It has a lot of value offered for its price and there are plenty of ways to upgrade with lighting and decor packages and options. They were very knowledgeable of the space and friendly!

Very nice, well-maintained local theater. Recently saw a community theater production of Oliver here and was very impressed. Like many old theaters, legroom can be a bit of a challenge. We sat in the front row of rhe balcony and it felt tight to me and I am 5'6", so, if you're tall at all, you may wish to aim for an aisle seat.

I've never known of a wedding being in a theatre venue, but I was just part of one this last weekend at this specific one. This probably ended up being one of the best weddings I've been to. Everything went very smoothly and the staff was super friendly, while staying on top of everything! This is a great place to get married!

Had the privilege of visiting the Orpheum Theater to see the Jennifer Keith Quintet. They put on an outstanding show, it was one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had in Sioux Falls. The theater is beautiful and the attendants were pleasant and helpful when needed. I hope to visit again for another show put on by the Jazz and Blues society.

Excellent venue for Sioux Falls. They have accommodations for both small performances and large performances. I have attended several high quality community theater productions at the Orpheum. I also enjoy the fact that the concession counter sells wine and beer as well as the traditional soda and popcorn.

The Orpheum is a very nice venue. The staff are helpful. The atmosphere is nice. The acquistics are good. Unfortunately, the seats have poor legroom. The access for people in wheelchairs is very limited. For people with other mobility issues, walkers, casts, or leg splints, the majority of the seats are too restrictive. Tall people wil find almost all seats too tight and lacking leg room. My suggestion would be to take out a few seats in a few different rows to allow more whelchair and disabled seating. The lack of legroom is why I give the Orpheum only 3 stars.

I saw "Rock of Ages" in the main theater and "The Calendar Girls" in the studio. Both plays were fantastic. The seating in the studio isn't ideal, so arrive early for general admission plays.
