An in-your-face performance of Othello was quite enjoyable. The venue was comfortable enough, a short walk from the light link rail stop and easy to find.
Other reviewers have expressed their displeasure at the parking situation, but this is clearly addressed when purchasing tickets, so I don't understand their frustration.

Small space but we'll set up and comfortable for audiences. Building contains much art and interesting historic info. Performance was good. Expect to see more new groups and performers using this space. Convenient location short walk to light rail station and international district restaurants.

Wasn't particularly impressed with this theater. Parking is a hassle if there's a game, it's not clear where to go inside and the buildings exterior doors remain locked at all times. The seating is folding chairs or a row of squeaky old theater seats. The audio cut out during the show, which led to not being able to hear the off stage dialogue that was important to the performance. The bathrooms appear to have original fixtures from olden days and are incredibly inefficient (barely any water pressure in sinks and toilets have signs to flush them twice). From the performers perspective it's really not great: the back stage/dressing area was tiny and very hot, and not very well dampened for sound. Every word spoken in the hall, backstage, or the bar/kiosk could be heard in the theater.

Great space for "black-box" style theatre. I believe it is a rentable space, so various show from various companies will be produced here. But the space itself is very functional, able to change the configuration of stage/audience is changeable, so that is appealing for performances as well. Parking can be a problem, especially if there is a Sounders, Mariners, or Seahawks game in town. But a little planning on these occasions should solve that. All in all, a great little gem of a theatre, which is really hard to find these days. Thank you to the folks who are keeping The Slate open and housing great performances!!

Fun atmosphere, great play, wonderful actors and actresses. Definitely looking forward to Future events at this theater.

A black (box) gem in the crown of INScape. Seats a comfortable ~35 patrons to an intimate, impressively robust yet compact, theater experience.

The theater is tiny but adequate for the show. The building is like a museum tho. Very interesting.

Fascinating little local theatre. We caught a performance of Bat-Hamlet and thoroughly enjoyed it.

A customizable rental black box theater venue presenting all sorts of different shows and theater companies.

Good theater. Could use more signs so you can find it from the road.
