A great 'intimate' theatre that gets you up close and personal to the action! Went to see 'A Very Die Hard Xmas' (Yes, Die Hard is a Christmas Movie!) and it was a blast, excellent show and definitely recommend grabbing tickets if you can next year. I have included a picture of the layout, we were seated in the second row from the front on the left of the stage as you look at it, the 1st two seats in the row just for reference. They do require masks to be worn though and the parking isn't well lit with lots of standing water (it is Seattle!) so things to consider when choosing your viewing time etc..

Small gem of a place. I was very impressed with their stage lighting, sound effects and acoustics. During silent moments - surrounding audiences within 5ft can hear every noise I made 🤦🏻♀️ I swear you can hear a pin drop 🫣. Anyway, this is a great venue and I really enjoyed the play. …

Went to see a Very Die Hard Xmas. The show was a blast and I highly recommend seeing it next year! The venue is small and intimate with limited seating. But all seats seem great. Easy parking outside and small bar for intermission refreshments. Will return.

We went to the Christmastown performance today and it was FABULOUS. Set in a noir detective world but utilizing a Chrismas theme and various nods to Christmas characters and stories from over the years, they told a fun and touching story. The actors were wonderful and played their roles to the hilt, and the set dressers were quick and skilled. The writing was top notch and more than once I forgot I was watching a play. I highly recommend catching this show if you can, but I suspect any of the shows put on here would be a treat to catch. Support community theater!

This is a home for creative, poignant theater in Seattle. The venue is small, intimate and managed by competent professionals. Any theater goer will be satisfied if not impressed with the level of work being done in and around this precious theater. If you can catch a show here, don't miss that chance.
Matty B
Lovely little theater. Really enjoyed Christmastown, and am excited to come back and see more plays here!

A Die Hard Christian was a total blast! Cast and production were great...laughed so hard our faces hurt. Thanks SPT!
Jeremy Bruner
A Very Die Hard Christmas was absolutely incredible. I loved the intimacy of the space and friendliness of the staff. This was my first time, in from out of town, and I can't wait to see another performance here. Bravo!
Trish Blank
Love this theatre. We have enjoyed several productions there. Small venue that hosts small but very entertaining productions for a very reasonable price.
On another note, now that the mandates have been lifted I really wish they would follow suit & let their patrons take off their masks & not go through the motions of making us show vaccine cards, etc.

We went to Seattle Public Theater and attended the Water Lantern Festival. Ratings are because we had fun. It’s pretty much open for public. Except if you want to join the launch of the lanterns buy it online it’s cheaper if you get it early. First, Parking... it’s street parking they closed the public parking they should’ve opened half of the parking lot, food trucks occupied so much space. They should invite a couple more local businesses selling goodies. Stage it’s beside the theater it’s kind of weird but it’s ok, suggestion maybe next time they can do a floating stage.

Nonsense and Beauty was the best. Great story well staged and acted. See this without fail.

Just an Awesome Setting for a Show.
With Obviously a great area to relax or walk,.. Before, After or Anytime. It is Greenlake after all. And can't remember Anyone that Didn't Enjoy their evenings. Which brings to mind if they have events during the day. We've never been to one. Now I have to look at the Whole Summer Schedule lol.
( they do : )
Always Fun. For performers and viewers alike. Parking in this area is usually pretty good by the way. ENJOY
...not sure if it's OK to post show pictures...
So,.. Hal will Do 🤣

Small intimate place. I always enjoy the holiday plays!

Very underrated plays wish the reviews were more positive as the show was amazing!. Small scale but large scale energy. Find out the fantastic elegance for yourself.

This venue is terrific. Nice architecture. Scenic location on Seattle's Green Lake. Free parking next door in the park. Variety of cafes within a ten minute walk. Friendly staff. Comfy seats. Nice.
Bobby Ball
We've seen a couple holiday plays here, and it's a really great little spot. The actors are excellent, and the venue is cozy and naturally pulls you into the goings on on stage. Definitely would return for more shows.
Cathy Mallick
We attended "The Liar" on 02/17 and were so impressed! The actors were outstanding and the story was very entertaining. The volunteers were friendly and helfpful and the venue was great - not a bad seat in the house. No problem parking either. Only recommendation would be to cut the heat a little - it was too warm in the theatre during the performance.
With gratitude for a terrific evening!

Great little theater space. Smallish stage with comfortable wrap-around seating. Adequate facilities in a great location with parking. Older building but kept well. Lobby is very small so suggest buying tickets online and getting there early for best seats and a position out of the rain if there is a line for popular shows.

Great environment... love the closeness to the stage
Robert Ott
Cute and cuddly with just enough room for the actors and the crowd. We watched Diehard and it was hilarious! We will go back again. People were friendly! Eat before you arrive and show up early if you want a drink. The line is amazingly slow.
Scott Henderson
Very small venue which makes it a great space to see a play. In the front row I almost felt like part of the play at times. Plenty of parking later in the evening. Also several spots for food & drink nearby. As an added bonus a walk around Green Lake is a nice way to prepare for viewing a performance.
SJ Cook
Just saw Pipeline by Seattle Public Theatre. Such a great tightvvenue for an intense and moving drama. Very impressed by your work.
Anibal Sousa
Small theater near Green lake. Comfortable, lots of parking. Didn't see any beverages options. Expect small plays to be shown there.
Wal Mart
Been attending their plays for years, from theater originals such as Christmastown to productions such as the Die Hard Christmas Comedy. Highly recommend stopping in for any of their shows. (I've been to many others, but these two were my favorites.
Paul Nash
Super cool cozy space for a play.
Zachry Norman
I saw The Best Christmas Pageant here with my family and it was an amazing Christmas experience. Great cast with talent. They were able to put on a great play with minimal props that made it feel very "real".
Vicki James
A Very Die Hard Christmas was an hilarious, no-tech, creative adaptation of Die Hard that makes much fun at the movie and of 1988 in general (coincidentally my high school class). Theater is a small community theater on the shores of Green Lake. Seats were comfy although space a bit cramped. The theater offers self serve coffee for donation as well as soft drinks, wine, beer, and snacks at a small vending counter.
Serge Lobatch
An old bathhouse facade hides an excellent 3/4 thrust theater that is well maintained. They tend to produce straight theater (as opposed to musicals), with a focus on telling stories about underrepresented groups. Production quality is excellent.

Review for A Very Die Hard Christmas:
Imaginative, clever, funny, and delightful...take your favorite person so you can curl you toes with pleasure whilst rehashing your favorite scenes on the way home. Plus there is opera, epic fight scenes, and fabulous hair.
James Tierney
Love the show and the actors. Seats are great. Enjoyed the decor
Jennifer Morgan

Coolest theater in town! Free parking. Intimate space. "Christmastown Noir" is a wonderful, funny, poignant way to enjoy the holidays! Will be running w/ "A very Die Hard Christmas", which should be very, very funny.
Helaine Clem
Excellent production in an historic theater.
Gaylon Blank
Great little place. Good shows and a friendly front office. Have seen three plays here and they have all been very enjoyable. Pretty good coffee also.
Frederick Bindel
Saturday night's rapscallion romp was marvelous to behold. This young cast was amazingly mature. Shana Bestok, in her "Director's Notes," creates a beautiful, authentic path by which to enter the play and the spirit of the actors. Bravo!

Lovely setting for a play. Toilets are a little daunting. I'm ok with mixed gender toilets but at the very least there should be doors on every stall
Heather Skeehan
The Seattle Public Theatre's presentation of Caught was fantastic. The team worked together wonderfully and used the space in a very interesting way to keep the boundaries of the scenes blurry.
Kayla B
This theater is my life. It is an amazing place to work and play. The plays, both mainstage and youth are fabulous, and the overall environment is very welcoming and friendly.

"Indy Jones" is one of the funniest , comedy plays I've seen in years. The entire company as well as the audience all seemed to be having a blast.

"Indy Jones," from the same crew that did " Very Die Hard Christmas." Clever staging, zany word play, good sight gags, and lots and lots and lots of laughs.

Intimate theatre, but the seating is so wide that some of the chairs can barely see half of the stage.
