Reviews of Kirkland Performance Center
Located in downtown Kirkland this community performance facility handles a nice size crowd and offers a useful performance space. We were there for a Bulgarian cultural event that was well attended and enjoyable. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎 …
Saw Mark O'Connor's - An Appalachian Christmas. Acoustics are excellent in Kirkland Performance Center
KPC is such a great addition to all our cultural options on the Eastside. It does a fabulous job in promoting and supporting the performing arts. This year's line-up is outstanding!!
Just watched Imagination Theater's live radio performance of Harry Nile with my hubs and mother-in-law. Fun night, great family times!! The actors are so amazing and approachable. I admit I'm fascinated by the Sound Effects.
Great sound! They have fantastic sound engineers here that really allow the room to speak. With such great musicianship and performances, every mix I have heard translates the live performance clearly and intelligibly. I saw the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra perform a tribute to Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond and they were fantastic.
( back of the house review ) Nice theater where the audience is really close to the stage, and not a bad seat in the house. The tradeoff is that the orchestra pit is almost completely sealed under the stage with a small wedge for the conductor. Also a bit of a pain to load in/out as the loading dock is 15' above the stage floor connected by an elevator.
Excellent community resource, but starting to show signs of age and wear in places. Fantastic spot to see a musician, singer, or band. There are no bad seats.
Great acoustics and every spot in the house has a breathtaking view! I love how this venue can seat four hundred but feels like you're in a room of no more than twenty people. A fantastic intimate setting for any live show.
Saw Pink Martini, such a great show! Nice intimate theatre (held 300 people? But felt like 50) with every seat being a great one. Great concessions, clean restrooms, in a nice area. We'll definitely look into another show there!
Good acoustics.
Each row is higher than the one in front of it, so you get a good view from every seat.
First time here and I got to see both my nieces perform in Mamma Mia! Very wonderful place and you can also park under the library in the garage for free.
very nice tamil show with comedy and information, acting was too good and so natural especially the main character Parthasarathy
i really enjoyed that drama very much
Great venue. Not a bad seat in the house!
This is a beautiful, intimate theater with easy parking and a warm staff. The performers are fantastic, too!
Small but nice and intimate venue. The only down side is the limited parking. Luckily there are enough public parking lots in the area.
Went to watch a stand up special by Abhishek Upmanyu here. Great theatre for watching any performance. The seats till the last row are pretty elevated allowing for a clear of a stage from all seats in the auditorium. Washrooms were clean and well equipped and the staff was courteous.
Free public parking. EV charging available.
Excellent acoustics and reasonably comfortable seats. A great place to watch Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra.
I love seeing the Harry Nile radio show recorded here. The venue itself is good acoustically, but the parking lot is limited. I would suggest parking at the library down the street after it closes. The ADA seating is limited and in the back and the rows are a bit close. To be honest I love the content much more than the mechanics of the venue. The employees are nice, and I love that they help support local radio and community programs. I'll keep going as long as they keep supporting auralvision.
Great experience! Very clean restrooms, comfortable seats and most of all we enjoyed the Orchestra! 😊 …
Great venue. The biggest issue is parking. Small lot and although there is plenty of free parking in the area, the maximum time is 4 hours. Which is not enough time if you want to eat at one of the local restaurants and see a performance. If you can find street parking they stop checking at 7 or 7:30 so you'd be safe, but the closest parking garage is 4 hours max. Saw quite a few cars with tickets.
This space is fun for a special night out. We saw a concert there and look forward to more. Prices aren't bad. Atmosphere is fine. Seats are comfortable and I had great ones. Acoustics also pleased and there's opportunity for safe, free parking nearby. I will definitely be back.
Great theater! Nowhere is far from the stage, very intimate.
My family went to one of the Storybook Theater plays. We saw "The Elves and the Toymaker" and loved it. They are great at keeping the kids attention. The venue itself was clean and comfortable. It didn't seem like there was much parking around though. Overall, I would highly recommend it.
Love this place, cozy.
has parking
Intimate venue for a good cause. Ukraine concert.
I attended a locally produced musical for children (Rapunzel). It was fantastic. Music, lyrics and everything else composed by the lady playing the piano. And it was really good. Good acting too. Kids loved it and we enjoyed ourselves as well.
A great place to conduct shows, performances, acts etc. Centrally located with easy access and ample parking space. The only disadvantage I would call out is a small space outside the auditorium for a large crowd to be accommodated (during breaks, after the show/performance is over). Other than this it is a great place.
Great venue! Clean and comfy seats, clean bathrooms, and a concessions stand.
Terrific venue in a nice location! It isn't too large and it isn't too small and I enjoy seeing shows there. There is a nice refreshment area and the ticket area is well placed inside. They always have a unique lineup of events there as well. I hope to get back there again soon!
Love seeing performances here. A friend of mine is a board member so have seen more shows this year than ever. What I like: location, VIP lounge, cleanliness, quality of acts. Most recently saw Seattle Rock Orchestra performing Led Zeppelin I and II. Outstanding!!
I'm new to the area but have already been to
3 events here. Easy parking at the library next door. The theater is extremely well run and seats are comfortable. The stadium seating means your view is clear.
This event I went to was well put together and the venue was nice. Would have definitely given it another star but either it didn't have AC or they didn't turn it on. Because it's a pretty small place which was sold out so alot of body heat. And I had to take another star because the seats are small, uncomfortable and there is no leg room. I felt bad for the lady in front of me because I kept moving to get comfortable and accidentally kicking the lady in front of me
Nice little venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Clean and well maintained. Not sure if it was house staff manning the ticket booth, but they were friendly and helpful.
Good small theatre for limited audience. Parking is about 100 ft away in Public Parking area. Theater parking is limited.
Good place for events like stand ups, parking is not available, we parked at the public library which is situated right next to the Kirkland performance center
It is nice a stage. The event was ok but I like that this place has parking!
Love this venue! 💜 The only thing they could do to improve is to have a better food selection (esp. now that the coffee spot across the street is closed). I'll definitely keep coming back! :-D …
Cool, intimate venue--amazing to be less than 14 rows away from any performer. Also love the new "Kirk Room" VIP lounge--awesome vibe. Best kept secret on the Eastside.
The venue is in a great location. Might be hard to find parking. The seats are nice. And the staff was kind and helpful. In particular the girl at will call. Loved it.
Nice venue for a concert.
What a great venue to experience world class
entertainment. Prices are comparable to other
high class places. A little way out of Seattle but
worth the journey.
Small and intimate, great sound system, never had a bad experience here.
Lovely venue. We're saw a SIFF film there and the crowd management was good. Like the theater, it has a good view from every seat.
Acoustics are good, as long as AIR CONDITIONING not on. They have to look into quieting the stage area where most of the noise came from. We humans, those not acute to hearing those sounds, can listen and enjoy, but don't think you can record here and enjoy PIN DROPPING SOUND recordings. But the recent husband and wife violin & piano duo, had an excellant performance none the less. Advertising for this event was low, email by itself isn't much to notify the public where print notices in the entertainment section on Friday Seattle Times, and on at least two Public Radio stations and a Privately Funded one, KING FM, a highly sucessful classics station known world wide, would have been 100 times better...so attendance of under 30 was pitiful for a great duo performance like this. This is NOT a serious performance center especially if recording live radio recreation performances occur here!. They need to re-think their programs if they WONT fix these two MAJOR PROBLEMS. I'm a jack of some trades but not master of all. You need to hirer an acoustic engineer with noise reduction certs and a proper public relations outfit to make and establish a program for advertising to FOLLOW for different kinds of programs. Not all performances are the same or the same needs. Worth the money to invest in at least these two that I'm aware of. What I'm partlly aware of in a sense not addressed before, is funding and distribution of those to cover the venue and its operation. If paid for by City of Kirkland like The Showare in Kent, or new Federal Way performce center, then we better figure something else. The Kent Schools are using their major High School Performace centers, and they wirk well. EDMONDS is an older Center converted from a high school. Someone there did the same, and Bothell has a center that is successful too. Too many venues weakend the economy and cash to support ALL those venues. One day, that's going to cause major problems as costs continue to rise, and performance venues and performers prices price them out of a job or a location looking for proper return to keep it going. Ok?
Nice place, good performance.
Paula Cole is an amazing artist, and the acoustics were fantastic! Great venue to see your favorite artist from 20 years ago! Ha!
This is a good small performance venue. It sears about 400 people and there isn't a bad seat in the house. The staff is courteous and efficient.
Friendly staff and great music space. Too much sugary concessions. Good lighting. Fast will call. Crowded but clean bathrooms.
Surprisingly nice venue - quaint and great sound. Not a full bar but they had typical snacks and a small selection of beer and wine
Great seating, service, cider, & acoustics! A cider cost about $8 so I didn’t feel it was highway robbery or anything & it was a local cider.
Such a nice little theater. We visited most recently for daughter's dance recital. Perfect venue.
Very nice performance space. Comfortable with good acoustics. Adequate parking in the area. Close to downtown Kirkland.
The 3 little pigs show was great! Also the theater is well designed and perfect for introducing little ones to theater performances.
It's a good small theatre but nothing special, well kept and clean and serves concessions. Have never been disappointed but never overly amazed.
There's parking next door at the city garage (free) and this newer theater has great sight lines and is a great place to see a show.
It is a nice simple performance place. Parking can be hard to find. I use the public parking by the library.
Excellent theatre. Nice steep rake to the seats so you always can see. Acoustics good.
Locally known imagination stage was a fascinating look on how old radio shows were made. Great theater and seating.
Great venue. I've seen Phillip Glass and several other performances here. Not a bad seat in the house!
We went to a All Natural Body Building contest.. I was just tagging along with my girlfriend, and her friend.. pretty cool show..
Small intimate performing art theater
All seats are wonderful. Relatively easy for free parking.
The Kirkland Performing Arts Center is a hidden gem on the east side. It's small, relative to many of the other performance spaces around the area, but it's not lacking by any means.
Went to see a play with my two year old. The inside was clean and warm. They allowed food and drink which is awesome :)
Great venue. Reminded me of an old fashioned movie theater. Too bad the city of Kirkland couldn't get the air conditioning fixed.
My first visit to this theater. A good space and so enjoyed the production of Little Red by the children's theatre.
Great venue for a musical concert. Excellent sight lines and wonderful sound system.
Nice venue w/ good acoustics. Parking can be a little difficult. Give ample time for that.
Amazing little playhouse. We went with Grandkids to see Beauty and the Beast. Very well done and with a message.
Payam's School of music fall recital was absolutely wonderful! Great experience, a lot of new talents!
Awsome place for kids and family. Wonderful play it was the most amazing show (pinnoccio) i have ever seen.
An excellent venue for watching intimate performances. The parking was even free at the time we went!
Comfortable and intimate and lovely for music. The very long rows for seating makes it awkward to end up in the middle.
This is a very nice performance space. Clean and the sound and view are good from any seat.
Small stage with interesting performances, mostly from community acts. The staff is brilliant and usually composed of volunteers.
Had an incredible experience! :)
Exceptional. Saw The Brothers Four in concert. Great venue with top rated entertainment!
Lovely, intimate performance venue. I saw the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra here, and it was fabulous!!
Great venue for events. Plenty of parking. Comfortable seats. Great location.
Beautiful improvisational holiday themed performance. Love the fabulous Ms. Reeves and all of her musicians.😌🎉💥! …
Excellent venue; no bad seats and great sound.
Very lucky to have a performance center like this in a small town like Kirkland. No need to travel to Seattle for many entertainment opportunities.
Nice venue for intiment music events... great to see and hear Mickey Dolenz from the Monkeys...
Of course it is a good venue.....I loved seeing Alexander McCall Smith!
Great place. Parking is an issue but you can park on the street. Best option is to take public transit.
We had to park in the general parking near library and there was a 4 hour limit. If you need to spend more time, plan accordingly.
Very nice theater venue.
Just a great venue! Always a wide variety of shows and concerts.
Great venue for plays, saw "to Kill a mockingbird" and Jim French's Imagination theater.
Best kept secret on the Eastside, finally the word is getting out:. KPC is an awesome place to see their great shows!!!
Great community-sized theater. Friendly people. OK to bring your beer to your seat!
Good performance centre. Friendly staff.
Excellent venue and Mamma Mia was superb. Love this place!!
The staff it this place is going downhill big time. I have no idea what is happening but it is sad. Use to be great place to rent for performance.
Great place to perform. Awesome staff. Beautiful venue
It is a nice venue, but the tickets are a little overpriced which reduces the audience.
Great facility, great staff. Would definitely recommend attending a performance there
Nice venue, but house could use a center aisle.
That auditorium could sure use a middle aisle. There's no way to avoid crawling over people or being constantly crawled over no matter where you sit.
What a wonderful, intimate venue. Truly enjoyed The Rumba Kings performance.
Attended SIFF showing here, lovely facility and very helpful and personal staff made for a delightful evening!
Sweet spot for shows. Not a bad seat in the house.
Cozy and wonderful theater, with kind staff and nice seats.
Nice accoustics and seating
Great place for viewing art performances
Have attended many concerts here and the acoustics are good.
A wonderful theater where every seat feels intimately close to the stage.
Watched a play for our 6 year old granddaughter and she loved it.
Very good performance space but needs work on acoustics.

It’s the best place to go watch the show with my kids.

Small but good sound system and comfy seats
Nice place to watch a movie. Good popcorn but miniscule serving size.
Great little theater.. professional staff
Nice acoustics and equipment. Good and helpful staff also
Very nice venue and close to everything in downtown Kirkland.
Great theater! Love their plays!
I like hanging out there, only outside though. I think it's closed for Coronas days
Spacious, comfortable enough and all seats are good.
Nice performance center. Seats may need some updating
Great programs, family friendly, fun holiday events.
Not a bad seat in the house at this intimate performance venue.
Great people good price service was quick and efficient I'll bring my car back for more service when needed
