Lovely music venue that is starting to get quite the positive reputation for a pleasureful experience. I have attended classical, rock and musicals there, enjoyed them all very much! Parking is a major drawback as it takes awhile to depart the event, so another form of transportation is suggested. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

Fantastic Hall to see the Seattle symphony in. The sound here is amazing and if you are lucky you get to see something where they play the house organ. Sounds so good. We saw the music of sci-fi movies and it was a night to remember. The symphony sounded so big and the details you could hear from every instrument were amazing. Pro tip, make sure to purchase the parking with your tickets. Makes the whole night so much easier.

The Benaroyal Hall is beautiful!!
This is an amazing venue for much loved artists and performers.
The team that manage guest entrance, walk in and parking did a wonderful job handling guests experience. There were plenty of staff on hand to assist with questions, program seating. The wait pre-concert was convivial with anticipation for a concert delayed by Covid.
When seating opened, it was an easy transition through the many entrances into the beautiful auditorium.
We were fortunate to have good seats, but it looked like there were no bad seats.
We were here for the Joe Hisashi/Seattle Symphony performing Studio Ghibli music. If you love Studio Ghibli movies and music, then you can imagine what a delightful experience this was.
Thankful to be able to attend in person performances again!

I'm here in Seattle visiting my son, so I wanted to check out the Seattle Symphony with him, which means Benaroya Hall.
Luck had it, that the Symphony was playing with the Harry Potter Movie "Goblet of Fire".
Geek night out it is...
It's a beautiful Hall, with many glass panes throughout the main lobby, that pull in beautiful light with cool reflection opportunities as that light..and you, change location. It was a sold out show this evening, (duh), but we had no issues getting around inside. Logistics in here is a breeze, and the crowd moved fluidly about, on all 3 floors for that matter... especially those on broomsticks.
We took the water taxi over from W Seattle, and then simply walked here, so I'm not well versed on the parking situation. But I'm now versed on the "mean streets" of Seattle, because we had to walk thru a couple blocks of them to get here. Wowsers... The Lobby was quite nice inside, with plenty of seating on all the levels to enjoy your martini and people watch. We sat on nice sofas on level 3 looking down at all the common folk. Be smart like us, and pre-order your drinks for intermission, which allows more time to sip on them, as you can't take your drinks inside.
The acoustics inside the Hall were wonderful and it appeared that there weren't really any bad seats. The angle of the orchestra seating allows for better viewing and line of site. Even the side boxes are slightly angled toward the stage instead of looking directly across the venue...brilliant. The crowd responded loudly, and consistently to the Movie, Conductor Sarah Hicks, and it's Home Team Orchestra!
It was an extremely satisfying first experience for sure!
Now... if we can only slip past those creatures outside the Hall.
Wish us luck Harry!

We came here for a concert by Ensign and David Archuleta. The venue was beautiful and the lighting was perfect. Can't believe this is my first time here after living in this city for almost 20 years. Will definitely be coming back.
Václav Novák
Beautiful hall with great acoustics, unless you sit under the side balconies. Avoid those seats.
Best deals are for guest artists like Seattle Ensign, which is also great for kids.

Joe Hisaishi concert! Highly recommended! Also, Benaroya Hall is a good theater: easy parking, many dining options nearby.
Jimmy Wong
After multiple delays due to 'you know what', we finally made it to the 久石譲 concert. To be fair, the program was not that much different from his previous tour, and in fact, you can find the program on youtube, however, to be able to experience it in person is indescribable. Many of us (x'gen) grows up with his music (and 宮崎駿's movie), so this is one of those things we can finally check off our bucket list.
Get the parking pass for the underground parking at the same time when you get your ticket, so you can park there couple hours before the concert and take your time to enjoy your dinner nearby, how convenience!
And thank you Seattle Symphony for a job well done.
Margarita Madison
Attended Seattle Symphony it appears there are almost no bad seats. The Orchestra was outstanding, for not being a dire fan of classical music I enjoyed it tremendously.
Randy Lau
Obviously the best music hall in the area by far. Its retained is beauty and looks as good as its always been. Acoustics and lighting are wonderful. Would highly reccomend you prepay for parking which is about $17 for convenience. I just saw Ray Chen the violinist for his final show in town and he was exceptional with the orchestra. Note, masks are to be worn qt all times inside the building, and proof of vaccine with ID (i.e. drivers license) is needed with tickets to get in nowadays. If you want a souvenir, make sure to buy it ahead of the concert or during intermission, because all the vendors in the entrance hall are closed at the end of the concert.

My wife and I went and saw From Shallows to Seafloor and it was a very informative and eye opening experience. Diva Amon gave us a behind the scenes look into deep water diving and the tools they use to show us this unexplored world that we really no very little about. We are already planning on coming to the Cosmic Adventures show in May.
Amanda Smith
Harry Connick Jr.'s Holiday show was lots of fun. The Hall is beautiful and the lighting and sound were perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and comfortable. There is a Link lightrail stop at the Hall and that makes getting there so easy.
Phatbone Leghorn
Amazing venue... We saw Ringo Starr and his All-Starr band. The show was awesome to see, the concert was incredible and Ringo looked great!!
Vanessa Mousavizadeh
I'm a symphony member. I love listening to this talented symphony and I love how they bring in guest conductors and musicians. Also the customer service for members is top notch. We also have a very supportive community who shows gratitude for the gift of a symphony that survived COVID. And last week the chorale was back in action. Fantastic! My only complaint is that the chorale members are entirely volunteer and don't even get a stipend for parking or gas or food. Not cool. Someone needs to change this ASAP.
Debbie Terwilliger
We've seen all kinds of performances here, and formally had season tickets for the symphony so we are familiar with this venue. It's really a great place for a concert no matter what genre. We enjoyed Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band, I have seen them previously at other venues but this really was unmatched.
Kimberly Pham
I always loved this venue! Such a gorgeous place for a symphony night or other events. I was here for the Ami Vitale event, set at center X seat. It was the perfect spot for me. Not too close nor far. There aren't any bad seats. The theater is so well designed.
Their garage parking is $17. Adult beverages are available but in sippy cups. Friendly Staff and entry line go by fast. Them folks got the system down. I don't like to pay the online fee so I usually get the ticket directly from their box office.
The box office usually opens 1 hour before an evening show.
Teresa Widdowson
Saw the Tan Dun Buddha Passion. Fantastic. The accoustics are great and the view was good from our seats. The seats however, are pretty hard and I would suggest bringing a cushion if your bum gets sore from sitting for long periods of time. The parking is well directed as you leave. The food in the outside area actually looked good but I did not try it so can't vouch for it completely. My only surprise was that some people had parked their cars in non-parking areas which made it tricky to maneuver when we left. Not sure how they get away with that and why they even did it since there were lots of parking spaces still available.
Amanda Nies
Went and saw them perform the music for "The Nightmare Before Christmas" as the film was playing. It exceeded my expectations.
I haven't been to Benaroya Hall for many years, and it was nostalgic. I remember a lot of symphonic concerts I went to, and every show was a hit. This kind of show was fantabulous. I highly recommend anyone go there.
Sonja Ross
Beautiful building with pristine sound and no bad seats. The symphony was a little off during our last visit, but that happens. One officious patron stopped a little girl from dancing which I found sad. These were the biggest problems, overall the venue and programming make up a vital part of the community.
Spencer Nilsson
You'd think for charging nearly $50 for nosebleeds that they'd at least have the courtesy to make their seats comfortable, but no luck. My seat in the U box kind sucked. I think it'd be okay if the tickets were a bit more affordable. But as it stands, this feels like an upper-crust only kind of venue, haha.
David B. Cross
The facilities are starting to age a bit, but they work very hard to create a fun and festive atmosphere.
Alissa C
Lovely hall. Uncomfortable and slightly cramped seats (and I'm short), but otherwise great views and sound projection. I love that the hall isn't so big that it's hard to see the center stage and performers.
I bussed there and it was nice to not worry about parking. I think the tickets I had gotten said it was $17 otherwise, which is a lot.
Pictured is second tier center, D14.
Pro tip from seasoned audience members smarter than I am: bring a small set of binoculars if you wanna see the performers more closely!
Susan Pichereau
The conductor was a show by himself, the singer had the voice of an angel and the orchestra was perfection! A very uplifting experience. Beautiful music took me to another place.
Marg
So beautiful. The sound was great but the seats in the balcony are pretty uncomfortable.
Alex Shogren
Always a lovely experience. Parking at Benny's is 20 dollars, across the street its less, but it is super convenient and easy to navigate. Prepay for parking with your tickets if you can and save 3 dollars.
Christopher Anderson
A world-class venue that still feels cutting edge and vital to the city's culture some 20+ years on. The place is inviting and accessible and a point of pride, architecturally and in terms of the talent brought to the public.
Paul McCartney
So wonderful to see Ringo! Definitely would want to go again to perform!
J. Scott Fiser
Great Hall. Great concert with Harry connick Jr. Seats were a little high and a little expensive, but it was a good show. Parking was temporarily full so we had to find another spot. Didn't appreciate that.
Andrei Lopatenko
It’s hard to review a symphony hall. How should I review them ? It’s not a restaurant
Nevertheless
Parking is conveniently placed just under the hall and it’s big expensive , typically 18 per performance. They have people helping with traffic to parking before the performance and from the parking after. Helps a lot
Inside. Services are good. Reasonable food. Could be better ( that’s why four star button fives. ). People come there to have a good evening listening to a good music. Good Café would help. Sometimes it’s cold inside. It’s ok for me but not for women in the evening dress. That’s why four stars instead of five. But people working there are always very helpful. And a good local orchestra and our conductor!
Adrienne K
Arguably the best acoustics one can find. The sound is always just perfect. The crowd can be too reserved for a livelier concert which is unfortunate but the sound just about makes up for that.
Jae Byrd Wells
Although the hall didn't accommodate medical exemptions for masks, the edibles toned down my panic attacks. Going in, i knew i would be cursed with a five hour sinus migraine and ear pain. It was worth it. The symphony transported me into the body of Belle dancing with the Beast. I felt the spirit of music of thousands of years flooded through my soul.
Michael Curnutt
Saw Beethovens 9th symphony. It was amazing. My wife did not approve of my rocking motions, but I do not hold that against Benaroya.
Will Call was fast and easy.
If possible, get a seat next to the aisle.
Edward Amartey-Tagoe
I had a wonderful experience when I attended the Hip-pop orchestra show. It’s clean and easy to get to - right by the University street station. Staff were courteous and professional. The only thing I didn’t like was that we had to pick up our tickets 30min before the show begun.
Adriana Barrera Riaño
The theater is a bug space appropriate for music and art performances in general. The quality of the sound is very good as well as the view.
Sarah A
The Seattle Symphony is always incredible. I enjoy their concerts so much! Beautiful hall.
Laura Musikanski
A beautiful hall with fantastic acoustics but few opportunities for people who don’t have a large disposable income. The opportunities that are available are not well advertised making this a place for the well to do. Not a responsible way to operate as a member of the community. If you are on a budget call the box office to ask when there are free events and check out the interior. The outside hall with cafes is open to the public but it’s cold and the seats seem designed to be uncomfortable.
Matthew Medina
Wonderful performance hall, with not a bad seat in the house and amazing acoustics. Parking can be tough at peak times but not as bad as many other downtown locations.
Amy Spens
Great acoustics and a good venue for both symphony and Art/Lectures events. The student tickets for SAL are $5-10 and get you a seat anywhere in the 2nd balcony and up -- fantastic for the price!!
Cynthia Lepore
Small enough to have good seats all around so hardly any bad seating. There are little cafes before you get in so in case you forgot to eat before a performance, this is nice. There's a parking garage directly underneath so easy to park. Great performances. Can't wait to go again!
Doug Farr
Unbelievable experience. The Seattle symphony is such a beautiful group of musicians in the world-class Benaroya Hall.
Mama G
Paula Cole was mind blowing! She was so on point and what a forceful, powerful voice! Unfortunately the sound and volume for her voice was not the best (this 4 stars). But the space is lovely and the people were kind and thoughtful! Thank you for a lovely evening!!
Stephanie Tannin (Shynnee)
We had a lovely experience, plenty of people around to help us find our way and the hall itself was beautiful
Wendy Klahr
Incredible acoustics, beautiful setting. Attend performances at Benaroya if you can because they are sure to be amazing.
Henry Meyer
It was a clean place and I enjoyed the performance. The ushers were nice enough if a little cold. The seats were nice and comfortable. The shops weren't open which was a bummer. The sound was pretty good but the seats should have been labeled better. Overall it was pretty good.
ZihSiang Syu
Went to Joe Hisaishi concert. Totally mind blowing experience. If you got chance to go, GO FOR IT!
Russell Edwards
Had a wonderful time, at the concert Saturday afternoon. Getting in the building was a little scary. Seattle needs to address have people bulling people for money.
KasandraB11
Very nice hall. Watched the Seattle Symphony play the music for a Harry Potter movie. It was a great experience!
Thomas Leo
I went to see a Christmas choir performance, and the acoustics in Benaroya Hall are incredible. I believe I was in row GG towards the middle, the chairs aren't too comfortable as it's a very old theatre but the view is nice and there's balcony seating available as well. Highly recommend you visit this place for any symphonic or choir performances as the atmosphere is perfect for it.
Amber M
Amazing architectural acoustics. Although I suppose the fact that I finally was able to go to see the concert that was on hold for two years probably helped a lot too!
Jinesh Shah
Loved the concert. Music sounds good in every corner.
Kristine Valencia
Great concert hall. Google maps directed me up 3rd Avenue from James Street to get to Benaroya Hall. Third Avenue is buses only from 6 am to 7 pm and a $75 ticket if you use it during that time. It is monitored by cameras.
a Cummings (aSeattleite)
We went to see David Sedaris so this was already going to be a 5 star review. Benaroya was beautiful, vax checks were quick and painless. The seats, the sound, all amazing. Cannot wait to go again.
Ryan Thrower
Went for the Seu Jorge David Bowie tribute. Incredible sound. There is always something special about being at the symphony. Benaroya Hall definitely has that magic. Highly recommend attending a show if given the opportunity!
Gary Chimes
Great venue
Lovely sight lines and acoustics
Creative programming that includes both traditional symphonic music, but also things like Sir Mix a Lot playing in front of the symphony
The on site parking is $16, and we like it so we don’t have to think about where to park
s i
Have not ventured here since 2020, but there really isn't a bad seat in the house -- have sat in various tiers and also the very front/back of the main hall. V. good overall -- courteous service from parking attendants below the structure to the ushers within Benaroya. Usually park at Citibank down the street or street parking after 7 pm.
Submarines Once
First time here was to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire while the symphony played the score live. It was absolutely brilliant!
Cotton EyedEm
Beautiful venue! Wonderful performances each and every time! Wether your in the big hall, or the smaller hall, not a bad seat. Just breathtakingly beautiful!
Son performed with our local youth symphony in the recital Hall and it was spectacular!
Tomas Rodriguez
Gorgeous venue to spend the night listening to the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. The venue is beautiful and the Seattle Symphony plays like no other. Highly recommend if you haven't been.
Michael Ahern
Everything is mostly back to normal and comfortable. Only a few doors are open.
Joe Dickerson
They absolutely rocked Beethoven's 9th my son and I had a magnificent time
Pankaj Parag
One of the iconic place in Seattle. The hall had good sound proofing. There's a railway station underneath but you never feel anything. The acoustics are nice. People have varied opinion on where to sit. I like the center section aisles L through Z. But there are no bad seats. The sound is nice. It's just the visual of you are interested in.
Josh Smith
This concert hall is my favorite. There are no bad seats anywhere in the room and the acoustics are fantastic. The shows presented are wide and varying. Whether it's seeing a presentation, live score of a movie, or a matter work if an old matter, I would highly recommend visiting.
Rafael Tello-Cabrales
Seattle’s prime venue for classical music, home to the Seattle Symphony. Great acoustics, good drinks (bring your sealable plastic cup to take it to your seat!). Parking is flat $20, but this is arguably one of the best connected blocks in town.
Aleks Vollmann
Love Benaroya; really no bad seats but the seats are a bit narrow for bigger folks like me. Excellent acoustics, as you would expect. Easy to get to- light rail elevator takes you right inside. Parking onsite as well, but it fills up fast and can be slow to get out of.
Kat Sykes
The venue is still decent acoustically, but is definitely showing it's age. The seating is worn out and uncomfortable. Padding all but gone and some seats actually painful to sit in, especially if you're short and the edge of the seat cuts into the back of your legs. A bit of advice, prepay for the under building parking online when you buy your show tickets otherwise you may be scrambling to find other parking near the venue.
Geneva Dawson
Seattle's Union Gospel Mission celebrated 90 years of service here. What a beautiful place
Aisha Bowers
We attended the symphony here recently that included a large orchestra and vocals. The acoustics were good as well as the venue. The interior was also lovely. The seating was comfortable and it seemed there was a good view from every location. I think even the most remote seats provided a good experience.
David Olsen
The acoustics were incredible! We saw the Symphony in concert, including a violin soloist, from the right side (facing the stage) on the floor. Each section was clearly visible and audible and the soloist was easily distinguished from the orchestra (not too mention the fact he was excellent!). The blend of the orchestra was quite good, from an acoustical standpoint. The architecture was beautiful. Highly recommend seeing something that tickles your fancy or broadens your horizons there!
Yuchen Zhang
Gorgeous venue. Great concerts and events. Came here for the Joe Hisaishi concert and was overwhelmed with emotions and joy. I may be biased because of the event but the venue certainly highlighted the sounds and the beauty of the place made it even more memorable.
The food options are not great here though so don't expect to eat dinner before a show here. Beautiful lobby area for photos too.
Christine Choate
My partner and I went to see Neil Gaiman and had a wonderful time! We sat in the second row of the second tier and had zero visibility or hearing issues. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff is kind and very helpful. The seats are a little stiff after sitting in them for a while, so maybe bring a jacket to sit on if you need a little extra padding.
We didn't park at Benaroya, but parked in a garage right across the street and had no issue.
The event we attended required masks while inside the venue and vaccination tests; this was taken care of with ease and barely slowed us down. Thank you for keeping our community safe, Benaroya! We will definitely be back for future events.
Richard Jarvis
I have always enjoyed going to Benaroya Hall for concerts. One, it's easy to get to by link rail or if driving, parking garages accessibility. I have sat in various sections and none have been bad. This time, I was happy to see they checked ones vaccination - and most petriarts wore mask. The sound through out the auditorium is amazing. Always enjoy going there.
HW Y
Great experience, but parking is a bit expensive. Other garages nearby have lower rates during weekends, premium on convenience
Jim Sinclair
Wonderful venue for any musical event, and especially the great Eddie Vedder and the Earthlings!
Krystal White
This place absolutely beautiful! The theater stage is amazing and the organ is just as amazing. Our first time here, my husband and I attended the Holiday Pops event and it was amazing. The sound was top-tier, the music choices were great, and the entire orchestra looked as though they were having a great time. I would highly recommend.
Mike Koss
While it may feel like it in many places, the pandemic is not yet over. Good to see that Benaroya Hall is still taking precautions like vaccination status checks and masking requirements.
Jim Bergman
Wonderful cozy venue, acoustics are fantastic, not a bad seat in the house.
Daria Borntrager
The Christmas Mozart concert was lovely. We booked a little late and were up in the second mezzanine, but even so, the experience didn't suffer, as I thought it was nonetheless a wonderful performance.
Ryan Strahl
Very nice Hall. I visited for New Year's Eve Ball drop, it was a blast. For a concert hall, the seats are pretty large. There is a very nice foyer with upscale snack foods and a coat check. I had some quiche that was rather tastey.
Karina Cecilia
Beautiful venue! I came here on a date with my boyfriend to see the empire strikes back while the orchestra performed the music. It was so incredible! If you've been wanting to check out some classical music or introduce your kids to it but don't know where to start. . . this is a great place to start. It will ignite your love of the classics by playing to pop culture!
Sean Happenny
Heard Bach's B minor mass here last night--it was a beautifully powerful experience! Sitting in the second row didn't give us the best aural experience as the sound from the whole orchestra and choir didn't have room to mix, but it was still fantastic. Benaroya Hall is a great venue with amazing sound.
Alex Tan
The building inside is gorgeous. Seats are comfortable. Acoustics excellent. Downside - Too many homeless and vagrants outside making it not the safest place, especially in the evenings. Seattle needs to do something about these social and safety issues.
Beeta Z
This is an awesome hall. I come here whenever there's an event going on for PAX. Lights projected are beautiful and the screen in the middle isn''t as high to hurt your neck when watching.
Megan Jones
Five star experience, Every Single Time. So creative, so versatile. The Seattle Symphony is AMAZING. At Benaroya we've seen a ballet, an acrobat troupe, a movie, a play, and a rock concert, all performed with the world class Seattle Symphony. I can't say enough about what a valuable experience this place is Every Time we go! If you're blessed with the opportunity, don't you dare pass it up.
Christopher Walker
Went to see the Bowie Celebration here and was blown away at how nice this concert hall is. Had seats in the Founder's Box section towards the back. The seats offer phenomenal views of the stage. If you live near a Link Station or main bus line, you can use them instead of driving. The station is just below Benaroya Hall, and you won't have to deal with the limited parking in the area.
Reid Branson
A great hall. We are so fortunate to have it. Comfortable, with very pleasant staff.
John Hare
We have enjoyed three of the movie themed concerts. They are always enjoyable and the hall is beautiful. Unfortunately the area of Seattle around the hall not so much.
Erika Tedin
No matter if you're seeing the symphony, a movie, a presentation, or a discussion, this place is on point. Not a bad seat in the house with phenomenal sound. Hint, pre-order your intermission beverages before the first half. Also arrive a bit early for a cocktail in the grand lobby, it's totally worth it!
Vadim Prasol
The only symphony in Seattle. Serves its purpose . Messiah by Handel was quite quiet even in orchestra raw.
Jake's Jobs
I love the Seattle Symphony. Ive been here a dozen times or so and I've enjoyed every time. The parking downtown can be a pain. There are a few regular homeless people right outside the building. But the actual building is incredible. The people are amazing. The music is moving. If you like to drink they have a great selection. I can not recommend this highly enough.
Anthony Wiggins
It felt to be back in the house of music. It was Gershwin not classical so it had or the simultaneous lively and somber components you would expect.
Rainbowtrybe Trybe
Amazing venue. Easy parking underground.eats within walking distance
Cassandra Strawn (duskweaver)
Lovely theatre with great views. Easily accommodated several of the larger events at PAX West (Prime) 2016. Well designed, there is an excellent views of the stage even from the balcony tiers.
Gentry Lange
The city had mostly cleaned up that area of 3rd Ave and the venue is great.
Liliana Grover
Parking is easy and the hall is amazing. There isn't a bad seat in the house. I have never left this venue without feeling like I got more than what I came for.
Claire McGee
Beautiful hall, though there are certainly bad seats for audio reasons. I wouldn't sit so close again. This space really depends on the accustic panels for sound transmission. And the drinks are extremely overpriced. (Even by professional sports and Seattle standards)
Jared Miller
I love this concert hall so much! It's nice and clean and I love they have the main large cover hall and small intimate ones as well. I have seen multiple special shows here (Final Fantasy and Pokémon symphonies) and loved my experience each time. Plus they handled covid really well! Please go here for a show if you get the chance!
Dave Olson
An absolutely astounding facility do deliveries there their staff is wonderful very helpful
Danielle
Beautiful concert hall home to a world class symphony 🎶 The concerts are always really fantastic! Has food, drink, and souvenir shops inside, as well as gorgeous chihuly glass chandeliers. Central location is also walking distance from other restaurants in Seattle. …
Robert Hallwood
Delightfully beautiful auditorium. The Seattle Symphony is terrific. Also attended a tribute to Aretha Franklin and the guest vocalists were outstanding. The acoustics wonderfully fill the hall. Seating is tightly cramped like that of a sports stadium, as can be expected. Drink lines at intermission are long, so if you need a vino hustle out quickly. Use Spot Hero app to reserve a nearby parking garage.
Rémy Miller
Beautifully designed, easy to navigate, and did justice to Debussy. I will find myself here again in the future.
Anthony Ramirez
Incredible seats & sound. A wonderful performance at Benarora Hall!
Stelian Paraschiv
It is a wonderful experience to be so closed to exceptionally talented people. Seen Lang Lang life, was a wonderful experience.
We will come here with every opportunity.
Shuangyan
I went to a jazz concert with friends. The conductor and performers are amazing!
Cathy DeSure
Great location for graduation - concerts. Derek Hough was suburb. Easy to find, great seats.
Yuval Hamudot
Always great performances. Really enjoyed hearing Perlman’s life story and violin playing
Natalia Farr
The staff did an excellent job of making sure everyone had a superb experience at the symphony.
Dennis LaMaster
Fantastic space no matter what you go to see or hear there.
Some ushers are more helpful than others. I had a bad experience with Christine, but did not let that spoil the enjoyment of the evening with my family.
Felie Hempfling
A lovely venue, with great access to the Link Light Rail and most Metro routes you really don't need to drive and pay for parking when you come and see a performance here.
Egirl Kalamanani
I was honored to dance on the stage with the Symphony. Sound is wonderful. Seats are great no matter where you are. Clean facilities. Easy parking.
Rose Walden
I love this place. The auditorium is lovely, the box seats are really great, the Chihuly pieces are breathtaking and the Seattle Symphony is top notch. I was a little over dressed for my performance. We had tickets for the 12th for Valentines day. I wore a floor length gown and I think I was one of 4 people who dressed up so.... if that's helpful, that was my experience. Go! It's so wonderfully cultured.
Kevin Barrett
Incredible event and great venue. UGM 90 years strong!
Philip Wong
One of the world class venues.
BARBI SCHMUHL
The acoustics are great. Easy to see stage.
Mark Hartman
Amazing acoustics for any event and it really shines when the Seattle Symphony Orchestra is performing. A Grammy Award winning orchestra and this acoustically amazing venue make for unforgettable evenings.
Ever Sun
Probably the grandest concert hall in the Seattle area. It's big and it holds a lot of performances from world famous artists. I personally only have seen piano concerts, by Lang Lang and Yuja Wang. The acoustics were lovely. Tip: many of you probably already know this but for piano concerts, try to find tickets for left side seats so you can see the pianist's hands. It'll make the expierence much more fun and engaging ;)
E S
It was wonderful. Everyone was friendly. My only complaint was the time it took to get out of the parking garage.
Trina W.
The recital hall is nice and a great place for an intimate show. The seats were kind if uncomfortable.
Michael Kuhn
I saw Eddie Vedder here on 2/22/22. One of the best shows and best sound of a show I’ve heard in my life. As advertised, this was an amazing venue with plenty of space and beautiful architecture. I hope to see Pearl Jam here one day.
Z. Luke
Very nice venue. Attended a graduation and was impressed. The only complaint would be the hired security staff. They weren’t very knowledgeable. I am not sure if they were provided by the venue or the event staff.
Ash Zeng
I love the ambience there! Definitely a great place for cultural events. Had the An Evening with Neil Gaiman show and I absolutely loved it.
Ellen Przybyszewski
We had the chance to attend the "Brahms Untuxed" performance by the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall. The hall was beautiful, the music exquisite. I felt so lucky to be hearing live music again for the first time since the pandemic began. It was a special experience all around, if I didn't live halfway across the country I would absolutely be back again! Highly recommend catching a performance if you are in Seattle.
Lisa Loutzenhiser
The sound is excellent
It's a wonderful symphony.
Stephen Alexander
If you want to listen to beautiful music and watch talented musicians play? Go to Benaroya Hall and you won't disappointed. It's also the home of the Seattle Symphony.
Aaron Caballero
Great venue. Clean, good acoustics. Seats could stand some refurbishment on padding.
Kate Randall
We love Benaroya as a venue and the offerings of the Seattle Symphony. Build your own series for $29/tickets is always our first step in building our experience. In the Before Times we always had dinner first. Add on the nearly door to door trip on the light rail. Perfect evening
Jorden Goodrich
Banff movie festival was pretty amazing in this venue. First time attending anything in this building, now I want to come back for a symphony show! Great seating, beautiful building and generous staff.
Kalyani Patil
Lovely location, they have community performances to support local schools and are free to all guests.
Maxine Lo
Beautiful performance space, not a bad seat in the house. Parking is easy and relatively inexpensive in the parking garage underneath. My favorite seats are front row, bottom balcony.
Codling
Count Basie orchestra - wonderful have them again asap! Itzak P presentation superb. The Ben puts on a great show. Everyone a confirmed vax - time to make masks optional!
Kiz Leppert
Beautiful and elegant. Amazing venue.
Tami Baublitz
Beautiful venue. Can hear well anywhere in auditorium. Loved our box seats. Comfy chairs.
Can Comertoglu
What can I say it’s a Seattle in Sitesi it. This time we were there for a recording of The Splendid Table one of my favorite podcasts, and the smaller rooms worked great for that.
As Covid restrictions start being lifted looking forward to going to more concerts and get a semblance of better times back
Claire Lucke
Excellent National Parks concert at Benaroya. Loved the Musical Mountaineers; the music and the visuals were terrific.
Maggie Rotter
Excellent organization for vaccination check in, and very mask compliant audience. Sight lines at Benaroya are good both on main floor and balcony/boxes. We used to take the bus and should have planned ahead to know options for parking.
Diane Collier
Great orchestra with very diverse programming in a fabulous facility. Their safety procedures are in place so I felt fine being in a large group setting.
Steven Eby
A wonderful venue for a wonderful symphony.
Michael Miller
Beautiful venue. Wonderful acoustics. What else can you ask for really?
Danielle Amory
Another of my favorites that Seattle has to offer. Here's a secret, get there before a concert and just listen as the orchestra warms up. The Iniversity side is too noisy, go stand near the doors on 3rd ave.
Benaroya is the place to go to lift your spirit.
Patrick Spence
Bittersweet coming back here after the passing of my mom, too many memories!
Absolutely beautiful place and wonderful acoustics!
More people should get to enjoy the symphony!
Thomas Rubatino
An amazing place to hear amazing music. The architecture is beautiful and the location is great.
Sue Frause
Enjoyed an afternoon with the Count Basie Orchestra. Wonderful!
Jericho Perez
How to describe what is potentially the most beautiful hall in all of Seattle, or Washington gor that matter. The seating, from the nose bleeds to the front row, are wonderful. It is said that because of the acoustics design, there is not a seat in the house that can't enjoy the marvelous scores. The foyer allows for larger amounts of natural lighting and the halls accommodate a very gentle light. It is my opinion if you enjoy classical music and you are coming to Seattle, there is no better place to be.
Debbie Tully
A little crazy trying to get in: we were redirected twice to show vaccination cards. But the venue itself is beautiful and acoustics are perfect.
Stephen Willis
Great location. Amazing acoustic and sight lines. I would recommend that you order in advance your cocktail for intermission. The lines can be daunting. As a side note the food service in the building are great and a stop in the gift shop is sure to provide you with the perfect gift for the arts lover in your life.
Greg Mckee
It wasn't me, it was my friend Andrea Mettler. I just gave her a ride!!
Paul Otten
Enjoy coming here and the staff is really nice
Darylyn Phraner
This is a beautiful place to listen to a world class symphony orchestra
Zack Hemond
One of my favorite music venues.
Chad Adair
It's an amazing hall. The Seattle Symphony's Harry Potter series is fantastic. Highly recommend.
LLL Lewis
I saw a concert there recently and was very impressed. Beautiful venue, and great acoustics. Seating was very comfortable with easy restroom access. Garage parking Take the elevator up or down and opens to the inside entrance. Very beautiful lobby, there is a very nice cash bar there not sure if they were serving that day. Not sure if they take cash or just cards. Maybe invitational events are a host bar. Check with them first. Handicapped accessibility is excellent. We were escorted to ADA seats. Excellent service. There is no way you cannot enjoy a performance there. The hardest part is downtown Seattle traffic. We went to a Saturday matinee.
Yuxian Du
Awesome place to enjoy classical music with immersive experience. The link station is right downstairs for convenient downtown traffic. Highly recommended.
Jennifer Moody
Always an amazing experience to be had for young and old alike.
Mark Hitchcock
Great venue for a fun night out.
Akil Smith
Wonderful staff, beautiful facility, just aces through and through!
Karen Brumbaugh Weigelt
Our Beneroya is beautiful with wonderful sound and very comfortable seating!
Steve Weick
Excellent acoustics and lighting. Comfortable seats. Great orchestra.
Toby Swanger
Incredible ambiance & acoustics! Not a bad seat in the hall. Backstage is open and spacious as well. Great staff too. Lots of local eateries /outside including a grocery store. 4 block walk to Monorail, buses right across the street, walking distance to Pike Place Market as well. Love this place!
Jordan Sullivan
Fantastic performance space, and always great performers
tasia baldwin
Benaroya is a great venue for all sorts of events. I especially loved when they introduced the sippy cups situation that allows you to take your wine or beer into the hall! No more chugging back that last sip. The lighting and acoustics are good enough for me too but I'm no professional. I attend classical concerts, national geographic presentations and meet the author events. Benaroya release a diverse variety of shows to get you through the door. Worth checking out when they open again. Go after work and just bus it. They have parking but like if you have the time save the stress and $$ and ride on over.
Kimo Hudson
Incredible place, convenient parking and decent food. Long lines went fast prior Symphony time. Awesome look too...
Peter Fernandez
A beautiful venue for concerts. Attended a Handel concert. The performance was outstanding.
Donna Ertel Riley
Love our Seattle Symphony. And Troupe Vertigo was amazing tonight..their bodies do things that don't seem humanly possible but are so amazingly beautiful.
Tracy Roberts
As someone who is high risk, this was the first event I've attended the last 20 months. I attended David Sedaris Nov 2021, was double masked and vaccinated and expected a limited amount of ticketed seats and distancing to be followed to some extent. What I found was the opposite. People were standing so close to me, sometimes touching as they passed me or stood by me while we waited to show our ID and vaccination card (or negative covid testing result), then the next line for checking our tickets. My neighbor who is also high risk attended an event here shortly before mine and was not at capacity so she felt safe. I don't stand this close to people I know, let alone strangers, so I was really disappointed in this and will not be attending another event for the foreseeable future.
Dracon D' Wanderer
My other half got us tickets for an amazing symphony... Had a great time and the staff is helpful and friendly
Todd Miller
This is a modern looking concert hall. In my opinion, it lacks the grandeur of some older venues but I like the acoustics. I have only experienced concerts in the orchestra section and it was a nice experience. The seats are comfortable. As an out-of-towner it is great that there are quite a few hotels close by.
cellosdavis
It's a great hall accoustically and beautiful to look at as well. We have enjoyed it for all the time since it was built and I think we have been in all of the parts since it was built.
So great that is so close for us to get to.
Joe Pronk
Great venue to hear the Seattle Orchestra, singing, and view tap dancing performances. Acoustics are excellent. Food and drink available in the atrium outside of the main entrance. Parking ($15) was reasonable for the downtown area. Area restaurants difficult to get into without a reservation before the performance.
Jennifer Wald
I've attended musical performances and watched speakers here. It's always an amazing venue.
FL “Miss Bosslady” Johnson
Beautiful facility, was easy to find and the parking lot underneath is very convenient!
Christine Elzey
What can I say about Benaroya that hasn’t already been said... I’ve been to a few events here, sat in a few different sections, and have had a pretty good view no matter where I was. Helpful, polite, cheerful staff. Great location surrounded by a ton of dinner options, though downtown does get quiet much earlier than you think it would... we tried to find a good dessert or drink spot after a performance one night, and everything was closing up. But still, a great night!
David Patterson
Watched Jurassic Park in Concert and it was amazing! Would love to see another movie with the Seattle Symphony playing!
Glen
Great venue for shows & concerts!
Duke Fu
A great place to enjoy the true art
L. Correa
Not a bad seat in the house. Very relaxing atmosphere. I didn't even know I was there for over 2 hours, of course that could have been due to Patti Smith! Comfortable and acoustics are spot on.
David Hagopian
Great location for both bus pickup and proximity to parking garages. Seats in the balcony could be better but the variety of venues offered is good. A price point of <$40 for a halfway decent ticket ensures I’ll continue to find venues to attend.
The food shops outside the main entrance are okay; I still prefer eating out somewhere else beforehand to avoid the slightly loud and compact seating.
Yolande Fong
Nice, right venue for the Seattle Men's Chorus event. Parking is convenient. Foyers are large enough for the pre-show and intermission milling crowds. Glad that a few chairs were out for me & other Elders could sit down before the show started!
Spencer Eiseman
Beautiful venue!
ubergeek52289
Wine was fire. Saw the Nightmare Before Christmas and it was amazing.
Greg Kornuta
Wonderful performance, great acoustics, but Founders Tier walkway/access seemed awkward.
Rachelle W
This is a beautiful, well-designed venue, which had everything we wanted for our Scottish arts event- food, whisky & beer, comfy seats & friendly staff. The acoustics are wonderful & it seems that every seat is a good one. The food I ordered had, obviously been sitting under a heat source for quite a while before it was served and was hard & dry (veggie meatloaf), but they quickly replaced it with something else I chose and immediately quit serving that dish. Great customer service.
Nathan Alldredge
Great concert space. Always enjoy the acoustic qualities of the concert hall. Not a bad seat in the house.
Austin Wilbanks
LOVED the Nightmare Before Christmas score! Cannot wait to go back for more!
Pablo Zayas
Still the best place to go for cultural events. Housing the Symphony and the Philharmonic orchestra plus plenty of other events to choose from.
Ian Hutcheson
Just a really good venue. Saw The Moth Podcast here a few nights ago, sat in a top side balcony, great view from comfy seat. The speaking was difficult to hear at times all the way up top, but that was just sound mixing. Conveniently located, has a limited bar, good for people watching, wide variety of folks dressed the nicer side of casual.
Rebecca Boom
Beautiful location. Good venue for all types of events.
Brock Rumer
The premier concert venue in Seattle features excellent sound, but the movement of people could have been given more thought.
Tais Tillman
A great experience seeing one of my favorite authors. My first time at the hall and it was overall very good.
Bob Boustedt
Thoroughly enjoyed The Wailin Jennys. Their harmonies were exquisite and Benaroya's acoustics made the shine.
Bob
CMDR Plorpoise
Absolutely amazing performances! The hall itself is very beautiful as well. We saw a performance with Joshua Bell and it was fantastic, really great solo. Plus it's nice to dress casually and get to have such an experience!
Troy Sutton
The Seattle Symphony does a fantastic job of providing music education for every level. John is so engaging and really connects with the kids at tiny tots. We went back later that evening for Holiday Pops and left the kids with a sitter. The music was moving, engaging, and beautiful. The hall is stunning and decorated beautifully for the Holidays. Bravo to the education staff as well as the staff that puts on adult events.
PooCluster
Aesthetics to functionality, this concert hall has it all. It's modern in design having lighting seeping out if cracks and a more boxy shape. Functionally, the shape of the hall allows for strong sound projection from the stage. And more, I heard they have a specialized air conditioning system that is supposed to minimize any draft noise. And to further reinforce silence, all the doors in the near by area close slowly to avoid door noise. It's also very clean.
Aside from the hall itself, the performances I have seen so far have all been held to a professional or slightly less than professional level. It's a great place to experience performers on the ultimate stage.
Joseph Chavez
Great place to enjoy great performances
Angela V
Benaroya Hall is an amazing venue. From to minute you walk into the lobby you know you are someplace special. We saw Broadway at the Symphony. The show was perfect. The acoustics in the Hall are amazing.
Seats are are really comfortable. Easy to walk around the venue. No steeps stairs or inclines. Nice bathrooms. Very convenient parking all around the venue at reasonable rates.
Katya Finegold
Absolutely love this place. I am volunteering as an usher here and every time I am impressed by people who work here, how nice and dedicated to the Symphony they are. The hall has great acoustics, the only thing I would change is the strength of AC, that make my ears freeze
Peter Horne
We went to see a Festival of Lessons and Carol's for Christmas. Wonderful - great acoustics. The hall itself is in good shape although we thought the entrance area we used, the coffee shop area, looked a little shabby. Parking was a problem, as we weren't warned that we should have booked a space ($16) when we bought the tickets, and we were turned away. We found a place around the corner, Cobb Parking, for $10, and will use that in future.
Armando Yaws-Gonzalez
Absolutely one of my favorite performance venues. The open, airy feeling of the lobby makes this a bright and welcoming venue. The main hall is very warm and the seating is comfortable. I can honestly say there really isn't a bad seat in the house (maybe the boxes right up against the stage).
Erika RS
We saw Nancy Wilson with the Seattle Symphony. It was a fun show and the acoustics were lovely. A lot of the on site pre-show amenities were still limited because of COVID.
Rob Yocum
Benaroya is a fantastic place to hear music - it doesn't really matter what style. The acoustics are as good as it gets. First, it's quiet - you won't hear any air conditioning or other noise, which is amazing for such a large room. Second, the sound decays very naturally. You don't hear echoes that reverberate throughout the room and muddy the sound. Finally, the various frequencies of the instruments bring played can all be heard as intended. The rest of the hall is nice too, with plenty of food and drink options. Highly recommended!!
Robert Shumskis
Beautiful main hall. Excellent seats, sound, and customer service. They do need to do better maintaining the restrooms, however; neither one I checked had soap so I borrowed wet wipes from one of the food vendors and got some hand sanitizer.
Rick Stubblebine
We have attended several concerts here where they play the score of popular films like Lord of The Rings and Psycho. We tend to pick the seats on the third level along the sides so there is nothing to get in the way of our view. I highly recommend paying for their parking when you purchase tickets. It's super convenient. The little BBQ place in the lobby is fantastic too!
Jennifer Ross
We're here all the time for the Symphony. This place is beautiful, every seat we've had is a great view and amazing sound. The atrium is gorgeous, the services are great and it's very well kept. Even the bathrooms are always clean and there are enough stalls that the line moves relatively quickly during intermissions.
Pete Bartleson
Beautiful concert hall. Unsurprisingly, great acoustics.
Chris P Keil
Went to see a Symphony here and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Their website tells you how visible or obstructed your view might be depending upon what seat you might pick. I especially liked that they organized the seats via price range but treated you with the highest respect regardless of the position you are in.
Jeffrey Smith
Great venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Even smaller auditoriums inside are good for shows.
Greg Nick
It's a beautiful venue for any performance.
Terra
I took my daughters to Time out For Women. It was wonderful!
David Rimmer
A magnificent performance hall with world-class acoustics! Easily accessible by bus with many dining options within easy walking distance. Great staff in box office and volunteers at the performances.
Theresa Schaudies
Easy to get to, parking right next door, and wonderful acoustics. There are many vendors in the atrium for drinks and snacks, and lots of table seating, so come early and relax. However, on the Thursday night I attended a concert, only a few concessions were open, so the lines were long.
J Silverman
The facility is really nice and the attendants are very helpful and nice😊 The hall it self was just gorgeous and the organ is nothing short of amazing! The odd dips in the floor as you enter an aisle can be detrimental, so watch your step😉 add bonus? There cops that stop traffic as you leave the parking garage😁 …
Arthur Lee
Best symphony hall in the northwest. Great acoustics and ambience. 1/2023 still great
Jim Drake
We had a really fun night watching the symphony do the led zeppelin tribute. It could have been over the top though... George's guitar mix was really bad, just too quiet, like it wasn't even mic'd, at least until the final song. You'd expect Benaroya to have amazing sound but the guitars were just off. That said, it was a really fun, amazing night. All the musicians were incredible and it was a special treat to hear that music presented in that way.
Jean-Claude Jr. Lefebvre
I love this place although the crowd have changed a lot on the past 3 years, the orchestra still remain the same which is a good thing. It's clean, parking is convenient. I wish they update the seats to something that's more current, comfort is just not there.
Debbie O'Riley
A wonderful venue for concerts of all kinds. Great restaurants are nearby & it's just next to the LiteRail!
Alan Savitt
We saw Beethoven's ninth symphony. It was thoroughly enjoyable and we could see and hear will well, even in the back. Come early and have a meal or just a coffee in the lobby before you go in. After the concert, the museum is exactly one block away and has a great cafe. It's a nice day out.
Laura L
We saw Nat Geo Live here. Great facility for this, and many other things. Sound is wonderful, of course. Bathrooms are roomy and ladies, the doors open outward from the bathroom stalls so no shimmying around the toilet and door in your skirt to get in and out of the stall. Finally a bathroom designed by a woman.
L L
I love my Benaroya Hall! So many incredible performances that bring peace back to my soul... Great opportunities for my kids to learn about classical music. Just like my parents did for me. Seattle Symphony and Benaroya Hall have the best deals for the young ones to allow them to learn, and become regular patrons of the classics. Thank you for the great deals for the kids and adolescents!
Andy Kegel
Beautiful venue, great acoustics, and home of a great symphony orchestra.
DeQuan Watson
Really nice venue. Good views from all around their performance hall inside.
Parking was easy to locate. The building has a convenient coat check and such. They also seem to have lots events all year. Plenty of places to shop and eat around the area before and after your show.
Richard Replin
This is a large symphony hall with a fine reputation for acoustics. While the sound was, indeed, quite good, this is a massive place with a huge orchestra seating section that puts so many in the audience so far away from the stage that it limits the intimacy of the concert experience.
Randal Ketchem
Went for the SPU Sacred Sounds of Christmas. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the venue beautiful, the sound wonderful, and the show fantastic. Parking is plentiful both at the venue and in surrounding blocks. A nice way to spend an evening.
Elisa A.
What a beautiful place. Every seat is great. Went to graduation for son - UW medical.
Elliot Jupiter
I have an incredible time every time I'm here. The staff are friendly and professional, and the performances are top notch. Plus, when I left an important notebook here, two different staff members called me to make sure I knew it was found and being turned in to security. Really good folks and atmosphere here.
BARBARA NORTON
Benaroya Hall has many excellent concerts throughout the year. Ironically the closer you sit the cheaper the tickets are. And it seems the surgery further away you get the more of the tickets are, must have to do with the Acoustics in the auditorium. Great place to enjoy a Symphony concert
John Rose
Great sightines, no bad seat at this venue, diverse food choices at street galleria, creative lighting design, and superb acoustics. Perfect venue for Father-Daughter Valentine's Day Date.
Abby
Lovely place to hear music of old
Anthony Mai
A first class venue for concerts and shows! Easy access to seats and easy access from public transportation. Has an awards winning orchestra to boot, but I enjoy their mix of other genre shows such as live music to movies.
maya sidd
Hall is nice. Too much drug activity in the area... be careful with homeless situation..Not kids friendly.
Justen Britain
Benaroya Hall is an beautiful venue designed for the delicate acoustics of symphonies, quartets, vocalists and pianists. I have been to Benaroya for all of these types of performances and also some Rock and Rap performances during PAX. I find that the venue is not well suited to the later types as the sound engineers have difficulty balancing the vocals over the instrumentals. The seats are quite comfortable and the ingress and egress points throughout the venue are well designed and thought out. The lobby is quite large and handles the influx of people quite well during intermissions and post performance.
Staley Explores
Parking was reasonable for the event ($16) and the venue was very nice to see the Banff Mountain Film Festival. Just be careful on the drive because 3rd Ave at certain times is bus only traffic. Also entering the parking garage there is a bike lane that could be dangerous to cross, make sure to watch for cars, bikes and pedestrians. Have fun at your event.
Carrissa Stevens
It's really nice here. The staff are extremely helpful. Also, the theater was lit very well, and you could see the stage even if you were in the very back. I had a great time watching Markiplier's Panel here, and I would totally love coming next year.
Jasmine
I go here to see the Teen Musical productions every year, and I've never had an issue or something negative to say about Benaroya Hall. The seating is decent, but you still get a good view of the stage wherever your sitting, other than how narrow the seating spaces are (referring to people trying to get to the aisle from the seats) this place is overall great and I recommend coming here.
Tyler Lund
What a classy spot! Visited for Steve Martin's bluegrass performance and the venue was amazing. The interior feels like a European Opera house complete with Opera boxes lining the walls. Acoustics were pretty good as well considering the length of the hall. Staff was also very friendly and helpful in directing people. Just make sure to go to the bathroom before a performance!
Tammy Stone
The Acoustics are great. But sitting in the front row is a little tight as you are about 1.5 ft from the tall stage.
If you're sitting off to the side it's really hard to see the performers because there's a speaker blocking your view.
Tushar Jain
Ample of parking spots. Spacious and lots of seating options in the main hall!
Becky Sutherland
I went here for a Prince concert. (I wish I could remember the name of the guy perfoming). He paid tribute to Prince really well and had the crowd on its feet dancing in the aisles and singing along with him the whole time. He did an excellent job and I'm guessing it's not the type of thing normally seen in the hall. The symphony played great backup as well. It was a fun, memorable night to remember such a missed artist as Prince.
Kathy Shireman-King
Been here a few times for concerts and it has been nice. I highly recommend getting there prepaid parking reservation if you can. Just wish they would have turned the lights down just a tad more during the performance.
Kate Vanover
This is an amazing hall to hear music of all kinds. The symphony is amazing, of course, but the various other popular ensembles who visit are also well-served. If you have a chance to hear someone at Benaroya, take it!
Denise Kulak
Somewhat disappointed by the holiday Mozart concert...few musicians and not as festive as one would have thought...disappointing venue without character...yet had best Foundation seats...will try once again for an Aretha music show in January...not a true city venue for symphony...thought Seattle would have more taste in architecture and design...the stars went way up for the Aretha show...what a fantastic use of the venue!...being from Detroit...and with the diverse audience...felt like home...
Amber S.
I give 5 stars to Taper Auditorium, but minus a star for the Recital Hall.
The Taper Auditorium is a great place to hear a concert. We were in the third tier with clear sight lines of the stage and the sound was remarkably clear even that far up. The seats are well spaced and comfortable to sit in for a multi hour event. Only complaint about Taper Auditorium is that it was freezing cold. Myself and several other people nearby were using our coats as blankets to cover our legs. I wouldn't wear a skirt unless you also had a thick coat to stay warm with.
The Recital Hall also has good sound and clear sight lines. But the seats are crammed in together (side to side and between rows) and have a narrow seat with a low backrest. I have broad shoulders and one stranger next to me did too. I ended up leaning toward the other side of my seat the whole time to avoid bumping that neighbor, which was uncomfortable. Personally I would avoid going to an event in the Recital Hall unless the people on either side were my friends so I wouldn't mind being pressed shoulder to shoulder with them for a couple hours.
lorraine damman
The music is always amazing. The sound carries so well. But to get the 5th star you need to set the hall temperature up a bit so that the founders level isn't freezing and the lights aren't glaring in our eyes from the stairs during the performance. Very uncomfortable. You could also mention at the beginning of the program how rude it is (for the performers) to have people on the main floor walk out during standing ovations.
Jason Tang
We went to Yiruma concert and it was amazing. The concert hall was beautiful!
R D
great venue. great sound. seats are old theatre comfortable (not so much). surprised for as new a building it is... they are also to tightly packed. no arm or leg room. I'm not looking for "first class" I just don't want my legs going knumb from being 90 degrees for 2 hours and don't like it when my neighbor droops into my seat. :(
Frieda Wiley
This venue definitely suits the metropolitan vibe of Seattle. It has more than one theatre as well as a few onsite restaurants where you can grab a quick bite. The acoustics are good, and the seats are spacious enough so you don't feel cramped.
Lisa M Peppan
WOW. First time there, and what an auditorium. Went to see their monthly National Geographic Live. Wow. Not a bad seat in the house.
Kate Kiatsiri
Love to come here for Seattle Symphony. Never disappointed for a great show!
Debbie Johnson
Nice venue for a concert. They have food/beverage options outside the ticket checkpoint and drinks inside. The central tiers and orchestra (not boxes) have pretty good views no matter where you are. Your views get very iffy in the boxes.
Kelly Sooter
#benaroya was fantastic. We attended the 3pm show. Parking was easy, only $15, and Google Maps took us directly to the garage. Hands down the best interpretation and performance we've ever seen of the Messiah! Bring this conductor back and we'll get to more concerts!
Dale Eagar
If you are more interested in listening than in seeing the Symphony Orchestra or whatever artist or group you are coming for... there is not a bad seat in the hall. Opt for the upper balcony boxes for a good value.
G S
See the annual holiday concert here every year. Always a nice experience. Staff is very nice and helpful. Carpeting is getting quite worn, especially on the stairways.
Mike Whittaker
Great night. Enjoy the symphony playing live music to movies! Can't wait for Star Wars!!! The hall is on the small side compared to places like SF Davies Hall. But it gets the job done. I prefer to sit on the floor or Mez sections over the boxes. If you get a chance have dinner at the restaurant onsite. Really good food.
Marleine Daoud
The sound was great and the people very friendly. I had a sprained ankle, was on crutches, so I had to sit in the last row on the right side of the hall (disability seats) and the sound was great even all the way back there. It was The Moth show so mostly talking and not much music.
Yuriy G
Have been there quite a few times, love this place, we have even done an event here when a bride rented Chiavaro Chairs which looked absolutely amazing! Great music everytime, definitely worth checking out. Bring the kids to give them quite an experience, just make sure they can stay quiet:)
Sue Neufeld
We've been blessed with the opportunity to attend several private Concerts at this venue. It's comfortable, has proper accoustics and is a delightful venue in which to enjoy great (piano) music!
Ronda Ramsey
Always happy to go to Benaroya for live music. I find that acoustics are not too great though if up on the balcony level which was disappointing. Closer seating to the stage is recommended and worth the extra $
Olivia Stratton
Beautiful auditorium designed by acoustics experts to give great sound. I've been lucky enough to perform on stage a few times and can confirm it's amazing from both sides of the Fourth Wall
Merrillee
Seattle symphony holiday pops concert. Wonderful.
Krysten Boland
Hosts one of the best symphonies in the the world. Great restaurants indoors and area. Want to really enjoy a night out on the town do a Dinner and a show here. The symphony does all kinds of shows. From classical Bach and Beethoven too the Beatles and performing movie scores with the movie playing on the big screen.
Dr. LK Williamson
Amazing acoustics! This concert hall is lovely in every way possible, and very comfortable and efficient. Great views from inside the building and once inside the concert hall, everything else melts away.
Claire Hoover
Wonderful venue for any concert or event. The Seattle Symphony's season tickets are a pretty good value with perks. We ate on our 2nd of 10 shows for the 2018-19 season and have gotten free drink tickets and have been personally invited to other free symphony events.
Cassie M.
My husband and I saw Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds here. The show was fantastic and the venue is beautiful and spacious. My only complaint was the doorman. He was super nice to those dressed to the nines, but cosplayers and people like myself wearing regular clothes weren't even talked to. He even got angry when our electronic ticket glitched out. It honestly made me feel like I didn't belong there. Luckily other staff were very helpful and kind.
SC Dolfan
The symphony performance hall is fantastic, but the amenities outside the hall are a mixed bag. The lobby is all glass walls and the view of the city if amazing, but it's too small and you'll be rubbing elbows with hundreds of people if you venture out during intermission. The food/snack selection is heavy on sweets vs. savory, so not to my taste. There are multiple bars with a good selection but the lines are long if you don't pre-order. The bathrooms are also undersized, like the lobby, so you need to plan for that as well. But if you know what you're getting into it's a lovely experience. I generally stay in my seat during intermission and read the program, and just don't deal.
Shannon MacDonald
Venue is beautiful. Sound is pretty clear. We saw a speaker to a sold out audience and for the most part could hear everything. Seats are not comfortable. We paid a decent price and sat in the "founders section" and still seats were uncomfortable. Staff was ok not super knowledgeable and a little cold. We definitely will go back though.
Coco
*The balcony and side seats provide a better overall view of the stage than the orchestra sections.
*The parking garage is a nightmare to get out of after a show. It takes about an hour to get out if you parked on the top floors of the garage.
Amy H
Beautiful acoustics, good seating options, well designed lobby hall and entrance area. And most important, they always offer such a great selection and variety of performances throughout the year, something for everyone.
ramzy boutros
Beautiful venue for listening to music. There are no bad seats at Benaroya hall. Seattle symphony staff are knowledgeable and friendly. So nice to deal with for seating changes, etc.
Debbie O'Riley
A wonderful gathering place to see and listen to the musical arts. It's magical year round, but Christmas time is my favorite!! Home to the famous Seattle Symphony, I highly recommend attending anything that appears on the Benaroya Hall schedule!
Jonathan Rodriguez
This is a beautiful building, for nice of gatherings, and good acoustics
Tine Nordensson
Great venue! Great food, great gift shop!
Pamela Nygaard
Benaroya Hall is a beautiful concert hall / performing arts center that offers a wide array of performances and events. Definitely a wonderful place to go! They have food, drinks and coffee in the foyer, and often often refreshments inside before the show begins.
John Rodriguez
Only visited the LOBBY , gift shop & 2 coffee & food shops. Great place to relax & warm up if you are out & about in the area. Great access to the underground public transportation (light rail LINK) just go down the elevator, close to University St., in the lobby, or up the elevator that's near University St. and you are in the front lobby. Enjoy the symphony if you are so inclined as this is the home stage of Seattle Symphony.
Erik Karhu
Great acoustics! Saw Eddie Vedder and his band the Earthlings. Had a great time.
Stephanie Leong
Beautiful venue with comfortable seating and good views from almost anywhere. There could be better signage and access to the parking lot as there can be a long wait for elevators after events but even that usually takes less time to clear than other nearby parking structures.
Jessica Martinez
My husband and I went and saw the Wailin' Jennys' concert there this week and really enjoyed the venue-- the acoustics are great and it seems like there wouldn't be a bad seat in the house. The parking garage is a little confusing, but at least there is one attached to the hall, which makes getting in and out of downtown easy.
Jessica “Robin” R-E
My work sent me and a couple girls to see the suicide girl's Blackheart burlesque here, and we had a blast! The venue was lovely, with art by Chihuly on display in the lobby, comfortable enough theater seating, reasonable prices for drinks for downtown seattle (i believe it was $7 for a PBR tallboy with a reusable plastic cup, which was required to take your beverages into the theater space). We thoroughly enjoyed the show! After the show, the line to the women's bathroom was long, of course, but it moved quickly so we weren't waiting too terribly long. The parking garage cleared out quick, too, so we weren't stuck idling in it. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed the show. Our tickets came with a parking pass.
Kristine Morley
It was excellent all except for the parking. I went to hear Dr Temple Grandin speak on Aug 02, 2018. It is service dog friendly and they have reserved ADA seating. I was able to sit in an aisle seat, so my service dog had room to lie down. Will definitely attend other events at this location. The parking garage across from the venue was very confusing in getting to the different floors and came across two drivers going in the wrong direction. Will scope that out before going again.
Chris Harper
We come here for the toddler symphony series. Perfect way to introduce your little one(s) to symphonic music and instruments in bite sized chunks. 45 min long and features a few musicians and their instruments from a particular section (wood, brass, percussion, etc).
Get there 30 minutes early for opportunity to play the instruments featured in the day's event.
Wes Wahlin
Parked on union and 3rd, $7, Saturday at noon, other places were $10 or $11. Walk was short and the venue is great. We picked up our tickets when the box office opened at noon. We got free kid tickets with our 2 paid adult tickets purchased from Groupon. General admission and we got imlime around 130pm and got great seats. They also had booster seats for the kids and you leave your driver's licence.
Sharon Draffin
The home of the Seattle Symphony! Wonderful classical music and concerts. There are even events for children of different ages. One is able to get dinner and coffee outside the lobby before entering. Drinks are also available inside the lobby before the concert and during intermission. The lobby itself overlooks downtown Seattle and is across the street from Seattle Art Museum. The before concert lectures give a new perspective to the music to be played. This is not only the home of the Seattle Symphony but hosts various other groups and concert opportunities.
Chad Chapman
Parking wasn't that bad, make sure to purchase an event parking ticket beforehand!
Floor seats don't have their numbers displayed, only the rows. So you may encounter the awkward count-over-to-our-seats thing but the rows aren't that long so it's not that bad.
Staff was friendly, bathrooms were clean.
Javi Cortez
I would rate 5 stars however the seats are really really REALLY unconformable. Great space - Really low key and easy to move about. I'd recommend getting basement parking so you can just take the elevator right into the hall reception area!
Vaile Lorraine
The Lobby is open all day and most weekday evenings and it is free to sit inside at the tables you can bring your own food and eat it there or just relax in the air-conditioned or heated building. It has Windows all along the lottery that look out to the sidewalk Street and it is also a main bus artery. There are two places to eat inside the lobby one is Honor coffee, it has espresso and coffee drinks and pastries or sweets. The other is David's it has full lunches that look and smell delicious and gorgeous. I have not tasted them yet. They're both close about 3 each day. There are windows all along the lobby with the tables that look out to 3rd Avenue which is a main bus artery. There is an elevator near University Street inside the lobby that goes down to the tunnel to catch the Light Rail or link. Outside on the sidewalk there is very often recorded Symphony music playing. I have not attended a symphony live in quite a few years but those usually happened in the evening.
John Rundle
Eddie Vedder and the Earthlings were an amazing show, and the venue was excellent, great accessible seats!
Eric Foley
This is a pleasant place to see a concert. If you're scared of heights don't sit in the front rows on the upper levels, as the railing in front of you is low (like mid-thigh on a 6' person), so you feel like you'd just fall over. I personally like sitting there though since the views are great.
The one thing that I don't like about this place is that the decor doesn't make you feel like you're going out for a special occasion. To me the foyer looks like a common area on a college campus or pretty much anywhere else. The architecture and decor is inoffensive but far from extraordinary. I much prefer the architectural style of Jones Hall in Houston, for example, with its red carpets, circular layout, etc. It feels much more formal and exciting.
Chuck Causey
The sound is great, the hall has a wonderful ambiance, the guys generally dress way too casual (sneakers, jeans, and even hoodies) while the women can show up in floor length evening gowns. The food service is great but the food can be a major disappointment. Tastless.
John W.
As spectacular as any great hall in NY or San Fran. I was treated to a visual experience as well as hearing the symphony+guest vocalists and a chior to make it something really special. When my eyes were closed it felt like The music was completely surrounding me. The "pre-order" option for intermission was awesome as our drinks were waiting for us and we didnt have to waste time waiting in line. Any usher I needed to speak to/or that spoke to me seemed generally happy to be a part of the event, which in turn bumped my experience from just a 9 to the full 10 out of ten tonight. Thanks to all the staff at this joint...
WARNING: Although the tickets up front seem like the go-to option. If you are seating in the main floor, i would recommend sitting "Row "W" or further back" so you have a little perspective on the ensemble.
Gillian Reese
This place is gorgeous ❤️. Definitely want to get there early for whatever show you're going to see. I highly recommend taking the lightrail as there is a stop just across the street. Dress code depends on the show.
Christy L
Wow. One of the best audio experiences I've ever had. I didn't get a premium seat but could hear the orchaestra clearly. The sound was so good it moved me to tears.
This place is very well maintained too.
Elizabeth Derrig
Fabulous acoustics and all the seats are great. Experienced the Everett Chorale and others perform there recently including Beethoven's 9th. Incredible.
Jenifer Williams Joyce
Always a treat to attend the symphony at Benaroy. Delightful to welcome love music back!
Brian Wikene, Jr
We came for an evening with Ina GARTEN (The Barefoot Contessa) and thoroughly enjoyed the environment and the amenities of Benaroya Hall. It was my first time in this venue, and I was not disappointed. I went for an event where someone was interviewed, bit I imagine s musical event would be amazing in this space.
Pamela Kivi
My husband and I just returned from a performance by the Seattle Symphony and a Queen Cover band.
Haven't had that much fun in a long time and the music was sublime. Used Lyft and as always Benaroya Hall was beautiful.
Alexis Alexander
Have been to many shows by the Seattle Symphony. This hall is absolutely beautiful and they always host a great night. Love coming here, the only reason I come to Seattle is to see a symphony here.
Denise Ward
Another wonderful performance by the Seattle Symphony, although not full orchestra for this program. Especially enjoyed guest performances - conductor, Dima Slobodeniouk and violinist, Joshua Bell. Love the cozy seating in the tiers. And, steps away from SAM and Wild Ginger.
King Cain
Classy Clean high-end performances
R and B
Beautiful concert hall with underground parking at a reasonable rate. Wine and beverage bar, comfortable sitting with unobstructed views. A downtown jewel in Seattle, with chihuly chandeliers!
Airin Budiman
Had our Joe Hisaishi concert here. It was a life changing experience.
Mert
Easy check in by showing a picture of my immunization card and picture ID. Friendly staff, comfortable seats, and good music.
W. Anthony
Amazing things happen here. The music is lovely and the view is great. The seating is a bit cramped, however. The seats in front of you are always too close to comfortably navigate past someone sitting in your row.
paul gutowski
World class orchestra. It was music director Ludovic's last concert here. He will be missed but fortunately he'll be back, hopefully often as emeritus. Meanwhile the excellence of this group of superb musicians continues to inspire. Seattle is fortunate indeed to have them.
Kim Blackner
The first concert we attended at Benaroya Hall was the Seattle Symphony on an Opening Gala event in September years ago. It was beyond incredible. In October 2018, we attended our second concert and I am now performing in Benaroya Hall as an alto with the Ensign Symphony and Chorus.
Ginny Rabago
Such a beautiful venue! Sound is amazing, anywhere in the auditorium. The staff is helpful and I always enjoy seeing/hearing performances at Benaroya Hall.
Hannah Nelson
I grew up watching mom and dad dress up formally to go to the symphony. (Bowties and ballgowns!) When I didn't get asked to prom, I took my little brother (who was 9 at the time) to Benaroya Hall for their Pixar night. Neither of us had gone before, but we dressed up like our parents would and received many compliments. It was a really neat experience I got to have that was entertaining for the both of us.
Jeff Sherman
Great venue for shows but they don't allow any drinks in the hall itself. It's also a little aged and has tight seating, so it's annoying to get in and out for a break (drink or washtoom).
Annette de Soto
Wonderful acoustics throughout. Purportedly not a bad seat in the house though we've found we prefer main floor center. Perhaps a few dead spots under the eaves in the boxes? We'd give it 5 stars if they would pass out free cough drops to silence all of those coughing. The worst audiences for coughing, it's just embarrassing. I've heard many a lovely, quiet ending ruined by endless hacking and clearing of throats. If you're that sick, consider staying home.
Mike L
My wife and I were here for concerts and love events during PAX West in September. The place is a spectacular venue with comfortable seats, friendly staff, and is easily navigated.
I think we will be enjoying this hall again next year at PAX, without a doubt.
Leo Qiu
Great venue for classical music. Many parking places for cheaper around 1 block away.
Steven Tate
The venue was excellent in every way: comfort, seat location and sound. My wife and I had a great experience. Looking forward to the next concert.
Beth Slattery
My husband and I had our first Benaroya experience last night. The venue is lovely and the PLU choir and orchestra was top notch. However, we ignorantly chose our own seats and won the lottery of "worst seat in the house." The view and sound from the Founders level is exceptional, but seat K8 should not be a seat. I'm 5'6" and my knees were painfully pressed against the wall/bannister and there was no place for my feet other than to be tucked tightly (and uncomfortably) under my chair. It was worse than flying coach by a long shot. There should not be a seat there at all, or if there is, it should be designated for small children and potted plants. All of the other seats appeared to be fine. It is unconscionable that Benaroya collects money for it. When we mentioned it to the usher, he said, 'Yes, people complain about that seat all the time. You almost need no knees to sit there." And yet they keep selling it.
Jon Fincher
Always a great time here. David's has great food, and if you want to spend more and impress your date, Muse is always a good choice. And of course, the Seattle Symphony always pleases!
Sarah LeTard
Had a guided tour, beautiful facility. Haven't gone to an event yet, but the facilities are beautiful and just talking inside the theater lets you know awesome to acoustics are
Sleep Pattern
what a gorgeous concert hall. saw temple grandin speak here. acoustics are amazing, staff are welcoming. would visit again if another event i had interest in viewing was hosted here.
Mahdi Albassam
Nice music hall with comfortable seating and good programs. Clean and well kept.
Ryan Romain
Big spacious area where the line wraps around clean,. All of the seats are really good seats to boot. Absolutely looking forward to seeing another show again here soon.
Carrie Campbell
This is a beautiful hall where music is all you'll hear inside despite being in the middle of a busy downtown city. A sound engineering marvel and comfortable space to just sit back and enjoy.
Mark O'Deady
We attended the TajMo concert on Fathers Day. Benaroya's large stage affords excellent unobstructed views from every seat. The decor, comfortable seating, perfect acoustics and lighting all added to the incredible performance, making it a perfect evening or with friends.
Barbara Erickson
Had a wonderful time this evening hearing the Seattle Symphony and Chorus perform Handel's Messiah. It was spectacular. The staff at Benaroya Hall is friendly, helpful and professional. Great experience!
Daniel Mac
Gorgeous and Seattle symphony is literally world class. Amazing talents.
Joshua Rechtien
Had the privilege of enjoying the Seattle Symphony as they played the soundtrack to Star Wars: A New Hope. What an enjoyable time, you would have no idea that the sound was live if not for the richer, all encompassing sound. The video was lackluster and the audio track suffered, but the symphony is for the music, and that was fantastic! Everyone should see a symphony, why not at Benaroya!
Miles Elzinga
First time going, our seats with near the back back the sound was excellent and I didn't feel lacking with seats near the back. Saint-Saens Organ Symphony was incredible and I can't wait to see another show here.
Sarah
Allow ample time before the show if you wish to purchase drinks. Food court outside the entrance. Beautiful building and always a great crowd!
:. “Skulduggery3455” .:
Staff is fairly curt, if you show up a few minutes late even with box seats you won't be seated until intermission. Won't be coming to an event here again. Thanks for making my day terrible. - Update. The box office manager refunded the price of our seats. It was a small consolation as it isn't often one gets to hear Joshua Bell playing a Stradivarius.
Daniel V
This is a beautiful theatre. The seats are comfortable and really not a bad seat in the house. I've had company meetings here as well as attended concerts. This location never disappoints.
Matthew Love
We are fortunate to have, support and maintain a thriving arts scene in Seattle. This is one of our top two key venues which is comfortable, acoustically resonant, lovely and accessible.
Scott Wegner
Such a nice venue, and very conveniently located to the Light Rail. There's an elevator to the light rail within the building, so you don't even need to step outside.
Random Hippos
Very nice place, I went to see the Seattle Symphony here, and it was an incredible experience. The seats were comfortable, the intermission was very convenient, and the Symphony was simply phenomenal. Very good experience, definitely recommended.
Vivian Mills
We're subscribers to the symphony and we love it. It's an amazing venue with great customer service and always impecable. The parking garage is convenient and easily accessible.
Sue Frause
Benaroya is dmply the best. Even in the last row. Rachel Maddow rocked it 🙌💙. …
Victor Chudnovsky
An awesome venue for concerts and lectures. The hall itself is huge and elegant, and has great acoustics.
The lobby on 3rd Ave, unfortunately, feels like an airport food court and is not very attractive.
Alex
I've seen three shows here so far and always had a great time. Parking is $7. You can find seats for $40-50 if you book early enough.
Cleora Dehnhard
I've been here several times and I only got disappointed when one of my shows was canceled by them. I was not automatically refunded and they told me that their standard procedure for a refund is when the ticket owner comes to the office and ask for a refund. I think that is a hassle and not cool.
Matteo Griffin
THE mainstream highbrow culture destination in Seattle. Every city worth it's cosmopolitan reputation must have a venue like this. Supporters and patrons have done an excellent job creating a space to present art that relates to the Northwest and it diverse cultures.
Dutch Droid
What a nice hall, enjoyed everything about it.
Joy Chisholm
Just amazing. Everything they do has such quality. You'll feel welcome by the great staff, the gorgeous setting and the cleanliness. Never have been to a bad performance.
Robert Lewis
Every visit is amazing. Wonderful acoustics and while you are sitting in the venue do a google search and read about the wood interior finish it will blow you away.
Maedean Horner
Cinderella was so well done. The cast of young actors was the best. Music, dancing , choreography was fantastic. Great job to entire crew!
Neil Thirsk
Saw beethovens 9th Symphony here the other day. acoustics were incredible, I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Recommend parking in the garage on union to save yourself a few bucks.
Andrew Sheldon (Drew)
Beautiful Hall... Never understood why a place that holds hundreds of people has such minimal bathroom facilities. Needs more stalls! Other than the bathrooms, it's a wonderful facility. Love the symphony here.
Dargan Thompson
Beautiful place to see classical music! I took my nephew to a children’s concert that the Seattle symphony put on here and they had crafts and an instrument zoo in the lobby.
Hank Stephens
Seattle Symphony. It's generally good. The main symphony Hall is comfortable, sounds is good and most seats have a decent view. I like the box seats in one of the lower tiers midway back.
Martinho Ribeiro
Gorgeous place. Amazing sound. Would love to go back for more.
Michael Flynn
It has it's pluses and minuses for a venue but I love it - I sat in a box in the nosebleeds and the acoustics were excellent. Every seat can see the stage easily
Justin D'Andrea
If you drive and park in the garage and do not have to go outside your good. Downtown Seattle, we I will never take my kids down here unless you want a drug field insane asylum.
Samantha Cohen
Good range of sight from most seats. Lots of available parking in the area though not free. Great acoustics in the hall.
Sue C
Saw the Seattle Symphony perform Mozart's Violin Concerto #5, conducted by the outstanding and world renowned Dmitry Sinkovsky. He was astounding! Multi-talented and superb. Very energetic performance. Also saw songbird Julia Lezhneva perform Handel's Alla sua gabbia d'oro, from Allesandro. Electrifying performance, enjoyed every minute!
Brett Elliott
Very clean, cool and chick place for a conference or gathering or concert or what-have-you. It's a solid venue, easy to get to, and even better, it's easy to get picked up or dropped off by Uber.
Charlotte C.
Fairly good acoustics in the audience section. There are some "dead spots" onstage, though, making it a little difficult to hear and adjust to other orchestra members, even right next to us.
Candace Ramirez
Benaroya Hall is utterly gorgeous. The acoustics in there are beautiful. This is a fun place to get all dressed up, though it certainly isn't required.
Winthrop B (Win)
Fantastic venue with impeccable sound. Seats could be slightly more comfortable but all around this place more than earns my 5 stars.
Sydney Cousin
Excellent symphony and Orchestra!!! Can do recommend enough. My wife and I have season tickets. Recommend the holiday pops and circus performances.
Megan Coburn
I have not had the chance to see a show here, but my children and I were lucky enough to take a peek inside when we were in the area. The facility is beautiful and I can't wait for a chance to see something here live!
Dale Hawkins
beutiful space with great acoustics. a little bit strange layout for the lobby.
Mandy Class
Took my teen daughters to see Makana, the last show on his tour. What a joy and cultural experience! Love the intimacy of the smaller venue!
Jeff (Icenic Wolf)
Excellent acoustics, comfortable seating, courteous staff. Building still has that minty-fresh feel to it; even the bathrooms sparkle still. What more could you ask for?
Ruth Reiser
Itzhak Pearlman's concert was amazing. We are always awed by the guest musicians that the Seattle Symphony is able to commission for these kinds of concerts. The acoustics at this venue are uncompromised from any position in the theater.
Tanner Foster
Love the shows here.
Maria Bayer
Love hearing Seattle Symphony!
Joshua Boland
Have been going to the symphony regularly for about 2 years. Always a great time. The restaurant in the lobby, David & CO, is very good too, if not a bit pricey.
Pieter De Temmerman
The broad variety of performances here is sure to impress you. Beyond the musical masterpieces, I'd highly recommend national geographic live, a live speaker series put on annually by national geographic.
Michael Tonkin
There's always an amazing performance happening here. The venue is pristine: clean building, wonderful acoustics, and comfortable seating.
Xavier Lopez
My only complaint is that the Hall does not have a place for local, independent art galleries to put flyers or posters of their shows. In my estimation, this is the loss of an amazing resource for the art community to reach out to the public and beyond. I hope that Benaroya will consider creating a small space for local art galleries to share information. That would definitely be terrific for the entire art community as a whole. Xavier Lopez Jr. (Alternative Art Culture Blogger)
Frank Chafe
Great place, not a bad view from anywhere, and the sound is amazing. The seats need to be redone. Barely able to sit in the seats for the whole show.
Dameon LaRouge
Get the Manhattan with the well liquor, Jack Daniel's is yum. 1 or 2 of those and you will have a GREAT performance. Be nice to their staff and bartenders!!
Joshua Hamilton
There are few things better than listening to the masterworks of the great composers in this beautiful hall. Buy your tickets early because this venue is quite popular.
Donna Hayward
Simply beautiful theater, amazing acoustics, symphony is world renowned... Many Seattlites have no idea of the classical music treasures it has locally!
Kelly Morris
A great concert venue. We have seen the Seattle Men's and Women's Chorus, Seattle Symphony, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet company here.
Lee Gildemeester
Really good auditorium for PAX, great audio. I wish they allowed food and drink inside though. We're all adults here and that's rather patronizing.
Susan Burnett
Seattle Symphony. Excellent program and brilliantly performed. We missed Ludovic Morlot, but an inspired violinist and conductor did not disappoint. Beautiful sound quality in Benaroya Hall.
Rahul Dodhia
Occasionally good concerts, but seats are uncomfortable, especially closer to the stage. Acoustics seem to be uneven, don't buy the box seats stage left.
donna g
I was visiting Seattle and went to a lecture here. A very attractive venue with food options in the lobby. People dress up here more than usual for Seattle, especially for musical performances.
Tim McConnell
Great acoustics and comfortable assigned seating for any concert. Definitely a place where you can focus on the music.
Goffe Torgerson
This is a great place to experience top level music in a world class venue, as well as observe and practice good manners without any feeling of snootiness. It doesn't get much better than this
tara vandenberg
This is the venue that was built for the Seattle Symphony and Opera when the Opera House at the Seattle Center was removed. While it is Acoustically "better," it is also Spartan (in it's interior decor) and, in comparison, devoid of ANY appealing, visual qualities (AKA ugly).
Joe Barboza
Attended the symphony for the first time, and it was great! There's a kind of magic experiencing the arts the way it is presented by the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall.
Maria “Ozziesterling” Sterling
Comfortable seats great sound. Small enough any seat in venue is good. Roomy seats (better than paramount)
Melinda Pidgeon
One of the best concert halls in the world! And I have the priviledg to perform there several times a year with Seattle Ensign Symphony and Chorus as a member of the choir!
Robert Williams
Easy to get around, special acoustics. I love seeing my symphony here. It wasn't as strong for pop music, but I don't actually care.
Soma Belmont
Came here mostly for the Seattle Symphony concerts. A great place to go if you're into classical music, but they often have other music or non-music related events as well.
DK L
Beautiful hall in the middle of downtown. Own parking lot available which is convenient since parking is tough in the area.
Ansel Santosa
Most recently I came to Benaroya for the "Baroque and Wine" series. I thought the highlight of the night would be the pairing of good classical music to wine. However, while it was very nice, it was totally eclipsed by the conductor: Dmitry Sinkovsky. He didin't do much conducting because he was busy playing violin and singing. Incredible performance both by him and the rest of the musicians (who essentially performed without a conductor). There were many standing ovations and 3 encore songs. Absolutely incredible.
Christopher TruLove
Moderately attractive. Clean. Forking uncomfortable seats, but I've sat in worse. Climate control were fantastic with a full house, which is always a plus.
Katie G.
Beautiful venue. And the sound is just fantastic! I have been to a few shows here, all amazing!
GREG MACKENZIE
Beautiful performance hall. Fabulous acoustics.
Lori Hanson
Beautiful venue, wonderful seating arrangements (in the upper decks.) The acoustics are amazing. It was wonderful to see Seth MacFarlane here.
Melanie Wachowski
Wow! The Seattle Symphony was simply amazing. Go and support your local symphony. They are a hard working, talented group that deserves your support!
That Fish
One of the most beautiful places in Seattle, and an amazing concert hall
Carol Shapiro
Beautiful theater, seats could use some help, and maybe more bathrooms? Otherwise had a lovely time and the music was exquisite
Kathy Wallace
Great venue! My only negative comment is when sitting on the side balconies, one has to sit with the hips turned. It would be OK if I didn't already have bad hips! Lol
Ken Barroga
The Seattle Symphony playing the "Sounds of SimonGarfunkle" was brilliant! Makes me want to listen more to that wonderful ensemble more often. I enjoyed the place!
David Ritt
A great Seattle Symphony concert featuring Nielsen's 2nd Symphony and Brahms piano concerto number 1 with new Music Director designate Thomas Dausgaard conducting. Catch it again Saturday night or Sunday afternoon.
David Proebstel
Comfortable, great viewing, and excellent acoustics. Watched 10 Grand pianos on stage plus great organ in back.
tylor cheatham
For a first timer, once you actually get inside or to the hall, everything was super easy to navigate and straightforward.
I ate at Muse inside the Hall; it was incredible!
Will Gix
Great place to see music. Enjoying the Baroque and Wine series. All time favourite here was Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
Michell Turley
Beautiful venue! Outstanding acoustics!# National Geographic Live. Great speakers. Amazing photos
