A review of the space. Came over from the museum next door during the day. The place is large, empty, cool (AC)❄️❄️, and quiet. Restrooms are beautiful 😍❤️❤️! The store has cool stuff! Has a little art exhibition! Many nice sit-down areas to settle down and have a post museum sharing with your companions!

Saw Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers. Seating, accoustics first rate. I like how SCPA has scaled their facilities, the foyer, lounge area and restrooms, to the capacity of the hall. We appreciated being able to order drinks online ahead of the event. Staff is friendly and attentive. Parking is plentiful and convenient. One of my favorite venues for live music!

Huge, clean, amazing theater. Went to see the Diary of Anne Frank production and it was amazing! They even had an actual survivor of the Hallocaust who came and spoke a little about his experiences. It was amazing!

Beautiful venue, acoustics are fantastic. Seats were quite comfy and you don’t feel like you are smooshed to the people next to you. Do be thoughtful of the fact that there are a number of stairs involved if you are sitting close to the stage. I would also add that if you want to park in the closest ramp, you will want to arrive at least an hour before the show starts to ensure a spot.

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts has always been my favorite venue. I've attended many shows of multi genres over the past 4 decades: Classical music, jazz and dance performances. Of course, one can always see a play, a Broadway musical and more. Plan to have your lunch or dinner at AZ 88, just steps away from the Center. Still original owner and menu. Great food, service, and open later than any restaurant in the Valley! Huge outdoor space for dining, too! Feed your mind and soul with a performance at the Center for Performing Arts, and your belly with great food at AZ 88! Enjoy!

Kick off of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival. The bites we're delicious, the drinks were flowing the event space was beautiful and the bond girls were golden. I was happy to see many of the food bites we're gluten free. Many events I am so limited. Not at this one.

Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations was an outstanding experience in this concert hall. With the stadium seating, you never have to worry about a tall person blocking your view. Additionally, you can view the piano keyboard on a screen above the piano. On the negative side, the screening process upon entry into the hall was very slow. They want to check your vaccination card and ID -- there surely is a more efficient way to do this. The person scanning our tickets at the door was also slow, and we were nearly late to our seats.

SCPA is one of my favorite venues. The Center is beautiful, has a fantastic gift shop, plenty of parking, is easy to find, and close to some nice restaurants. It is not overly large so I think everyone can hear who's on stage. And, oh yes, the bathrooms are larger than most with plenty of light--very modern and attractive.

This place is amazing for so may reasons. Attend a performance here, visit the store, when Scottsdale has an activity in the front of the building, it's opened up so you can see the inside. The parking garage is close and I've stopped at the restaurants around the center for lunch or dinner. It's a very convenient location.

Went to a play in their small theater. Seats about 150. Very intimate setting. They advertised a Christmas market but there were only about 5 vendors. Had to have vaccine card and mask to get in.

It was a very interesting display of Van Gogh’s work. The music and colors were beautiful. I loved the reflections on the floor. If I were comfortable I would have loved it. I am 75 years old and in pretty good shape but found it very difficult to sit on the floor for two hours. I never knew there was an option, because no one ever told me. I saw some occupied benches and chairs but thought it was “first come first serve”. It is important to let older people know chairs are available without being a handicapped person!

We saw Christmas in Hawaii with Jake Shimabukuro and it was fabulous! The theater is a nice size, no bad seats! Sound was great. Many restaurants, shops and hotels within walking distance.

I liked this venue. Close, free parking options and spacious lobby. Every seat is a good one. Though beware if you struggle with walking as there are lots of steps down to your seat if you're up close. Cute gift shop to pass the time.

Very cool venue. Interesting architecture outside, in the lobby and in the theater. The theater is tiered nicely to hold perhaps 700 or so. The structure creates very good viewing positions from every spot. The acoustics are very impressive! See a show there just to experience the place.

I've never been to a bad performance here. Their programming is top notch! Sightlines can be a bit of a problem from the sides of the main theater, but that's forgivable. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The box office staff is courteous and efficient - can't say that about some other venues in town.

Its great to have a place that has retained its quiet simplistic location. Nothing against children, but to be good parents, need a breather to remember yourselves. The venue was great. The entire Center was clean, organized, and well designed. The Phoenix Youth Symphony did an outstanding job performing here.

Bruce Hornsby - 11/18/16 - He was phenomenal as expected and I'm so pleased to have been able to see him in such a small venue. Sound was great, I could actually hear him tapping his feet while playing - just lovely! It's a great small venue where the artist can be seen and interact with the audience as opposed to being watched on a giant TV from a mile away. Quite refreshing and lovely, seats are very comfy and roomy. Staff is helpful and respectful. There's an elevator to take you to the lower sections if needed and two bars serving wine, beer and mixed drinks at reasonable prices. Close to show time they put caps on the cups so you can take them in to the show. I will definitely watch for more events to attend here as ticket pricing is also reasonable. I used Uber to get there and back as I wasn't sure how close parking was, but I understand parking is free and not far.

We saw Rufus Wainwright tonight and it was a fabulous show. All the staff (most I believe volunteer) were extremely helpful and friendly. The venue's sound was superb and we were impressed with the courteous exit strategy displayed by the patrons. Always unfortunate however when many people decide they are going to leave the concert BEFORE it's actually over. This is a distraction to all other paying guests and really should be avoided.... especially when you have to squeeze by others in order to leave. There were also major line ups for the washrooms so we're thinking they didn't have enough of them. Overall an extremely enjoyable experience.

Outside the Centre is an outdoor stage facing a grassy bowl. On Sunday afternoons during the early months of the year, the bowl is filled with residents and visitors sitting on blankets and folding chairs. They are there to enjoy for free all kinds of musical concerts put on by the very best musicians and singers.

This is a very nicely appointed theater. We saw Rita Rudner do her standup act, but I understand that the acoustics and sound system provide a wonderful musical experience, as well.

First time to this lovely theatre for any function. Were there for TALK Movie, a program for a preview of unreleased films. There is a discussion afterwards which rewarded us with more viewpoints. The sound was difficult for both my wife and I at various points but we will certainly return for more movies later. The movie is a secret until you get to the theatre, fun for us.

Very nice performances and a world class artistic talent come together in Scottsdale. The shows are reasonable priced, just off the Old Town Scottsdale blocks, with free parking. What more could you ask? Eat a bit, look around, attend a show. The perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening.

Tonight's performance by Jeffrey Siegel a piano virtuoso was wonderfully entertaining. He spoke to the audience about the pieces of music from Scandinavian countries and Russia that he was going to play and we loved it. It's a great place to hear music performed. There is a coffee bar and gift shop with great people behind the counter to serve you. A great evening out.

Scottsdale has a real gem in the heart of downtown. Besides having great performances there are many opportunities to enjoy the fresh air and civic center park. There is the opportunity to restrict access and have paid festivals like Brazil day and there is many free events happening like Sunday Afair starting in January. There also is a gift shop with many unique items.

What a beautiful theater & what a Beautiful show.. "Electric Hot Tuna" was last night!!!! Korma Kaukonen & Jack Cassidy plus guest Steve Kimrock...blues..rock..spiritual poetry in rock! "If you don't know Jorma, you Don't Know Jack! " Rockin the world since the Jefferson Airplane took off in the 60's. Anyone not familiar with "Hot Tuna" or not Rock fans ...I defie you to listen to YouTube "The Water Song" and tell me it is not an acoustic guitar Masterpiece! It always lifts my Spirit!
