Took my 10 year old daughter here for some daddy daughter time and we had a blast. The people were all very friendly and they treated kids great. I honestly thought to gift shop was pretty reasonable considering these types of places usually are not. We arrived early as suggested so we could walk around unfortunately the museum was closed but there was still a lot to look at and see. We enjoyed watching the knighting ceremonies that were taking place and their drink selection was good also. The entertainment part was a blast and it’s fun to cheer on your team and allies one thing I was not expecting was the quality of food I really thought it was outstanding and our service top notch. We will definitely be attending again. If your on the fence just do it you will have a great time. Show was a full 2 hours we were there an hour early for a total of 3 hours in the castle.

What a fun time! I'd never been to medieval times before and I didn't realize how much more it is than jousting. There is comedy, drama, action and adventure! They have horse exhibitions and they are amazing!! The staff was funny and attentive adding to the overall experience. The food was decent, the soup was good, but the chicken a little dry, although well flavored. They are limited with options because you eat with your hands which I didn't mind as it makes it more authentic. You're really paying for the experience here. The knights are fun and talented stunt men, it worth the price for something different!!

First time Medieval Times and must say it was a wonderful experience. The moment you enter the staff play their roles right up to the end. Very courteous and accommodating. The entire performance was great and even the horses can steal your heart with their dances. Food was simple yet delicious! The facilities were clean. This is not an every day show for a family but definitely worth the experience since it can run a pretty penny when ordering souvenirs and adult drinks. The staff work hard so tipping for their hard work is appreciated. I would recommend this for a one time experience for the family.

If I could give 6 stars for atmosphere I would do it. This place was absolutely amazing. The food was simple, but very well executed. Which is good because you're eating it with your hands! The show was more than entertaining and yelling was so cathartic. A great time with great food.
J Crowd
We enjoyed our experience! Lots of action, excitement, and great characters. Loved the atmosphere. The food was very good too. The chicken we each received was large and flavorful! Soup and garlic toast were enjoyed. The corn and potato were also flavorful. A great experience! The only thing I would caution is that, you are bombarded with souvenirs the minute you enter to the very minute you leave. So, either bring a lot of money, or just be good at saying "no thank you".

I was super impressed by the performances with all the enthusiasm one can muster by all the performers and staff. One of the absolute best & funnest Father's Day dinner experience I've ever had. The staff kept their roles the entire night. The food was quite good and was also medieval themed. A great thanks to everyone from the queen to the bar wench. Highly recommend this place for a fun and memorable night the whole family can enjoy. Cheers!

Very cool place. Staff was very friendly and they are well organized for the seating process. Most of the staff are in character. The food was plentiful, hot, and tasty. The players have great costumes, the show is exciting and the horses were beautiful. I think it would be nice if there were more wandering players to engage while waiting to be seated. Maybe some gestures or other type of entertainers interacting with the crowd. And the drinks were a little bit pricey. But all in all, an excellent experience.
Keara Kangas
Very fun place. Good food, dessert was a little low budget but I was impressed with how much chicken you get. Staff love to be there and it's a great fun show. Beer is cheaper once you get a souvenir cup: $8-10 for 24oz. But the extra shot was $7 for peach schnapps - tastey addition though. Easy and quick service. Highly recommend.

The show was amazing and very interactive. I love how the knights give all their flowers and stuff to the little girls and made them feel like little princesses. The jousting and fighting was amazing.. very captivating. The food was amazing... out the roof delicious. Staff were spectacular! Our knight in our section took the time out to sign our banners and take pictures with us. Overall I give it a 10 plus rating! This place is definitely a place we will always come back to
Veronica Perez
My kids and I had a great time. I was going with the impression that the show would be a little cheesey. That was not the case. It was very entertaining. Everything was well organized and clean. Be prepared to eat your food with your hands and no utensils. Also be prepared to be sold all kinds of extras during the show. Overall, it was a great show, and something different than the usual movie day for the kids.
Tina Shoemaker
It was a great show. Food was served hot and steamy. Nice size portions. Everyone was super friendly. Kiersten, Kate, Tatum and Bartender Brandon were the best people. Friendly and efficient! I would go back for them and the show and food. Great place.
David Sterne
This was a pretty cool experience! I did not expect it to be as fun and entertaining as it was. And the food was amazing! Really good chicken and generous portions.
I would have liked the jousting to be a little more Medieval though. Didn't even see any blood ;)
They must spend a fortune on those breakable jousts because they went through so many of them. Which brings me to my next point: this was pricey for your average outing. Be prepared to spend some money, especially if you plan on drinking.
My one concern was the treatment of the horses. They looked tired and thirsty, and seemed a little ornery with their riders. I hope they are provided enough of a break between shows and handled with care.

This was our first time here and we will be back! We got the Queens package which are the best seats in the house and it comes with lots of perks. We had one of the girls knighted by the Queen for her birthday which they also announced in the arena. Great items to purchase and decent food. Best part, our green Knight won it all!
Ryan
I am giving this 5 stars b/c it was blast. But this a place where money goes to die.
Food was good, birthday cake was gross, service was amazing, show was amazing.
It was very over priced for the extra like adult drinks.
Bottom line if you have kids it worth it. Just understand what you are paying for.
Rose B
I had a really fun time at this dinner experience. The food was decent but the show is what you really go for and it was put together really well. The staff was friendly. The horses were amazing. The falcon was really really cool. Our knight didn't win, which he should have. Red and Yellow for life!! Anyways, good fun for a family, a date, a birthday or just some ridiculous fun with friends.

Best Tomato Soup ever! All the food is always piping hot and the service is as good as the show! We’ve always enjoyed dinner theater and think this location puts on such a great show There’s truly a high level of training and rehearsing that goes on and the employees hard work clearly shows.
Thanks for another great show!
Heather D
Great fun to be had. Delicious multi course meal served spread out just right you don't get full. Food was all perfect hot tomato bisque and garlic bread, juicy half chicken with corn and potato, then cold caramel ice cream to finish it off. All served during a beautiful show of horsemanship and skills. Tournament of jousting and sword fights to laugh and cheer. We got the add on of cold slushy and amazing quality souvenir glasses. Five stars for sure and definitely recommended to those who want some fun without having to wait for the Renaissance fair to come around.
Diandra M
I was a bit skeptical but we took my twins for their 5th birthday it was 13 of us and WOW spectacular seriously so worth it!! The food was awesome the show was amazing and kept all 5 kids in our party fully entertained the entire time!!! The gift shop was awesome and not crazy expensive we will be back for sure I appreciate the kindness of the staff and actors for making it so special for us all! Thank you!
62Grains Hunter
Went here with my 13 year old daughter. We had an amazing time. Its kind of goofy, but if you go in with a good attitude, you will love it. Food was good and for the entire show and dinner, it was well worth it. We upgraded to the queen package and felt like we got our money's worth. Will be going back again without hesitation.
ROBIN MURPHY
So much fun! Just a great experience all around! The food was hot and delicious. The service was top notch. And the show was so good!! The costumes, the performers....all top notch! I most definitely recommend this!
Digital Loop
Heck of a show (despite it being obviously scripted, for safety reasons of course!)! 100% had a blast and would absolutely do it again. Non dairy options available. The reason for 4 stars on food is because the non dairy replacement for soup was 2 carrot sticks and 2 celery sticks with hummus. Just a bit light, but still very good!
Go in and cheer and jeer like mad, it's more fun when you play the game!!!
Ayfer Markwardt
We went for my husband’s birthday but it turned out my little girl was crowned the Queen. Thank you to everyone who made our night so special. I really liked the medieval themed food. We had a blast! The Queen Isabella, knights, squires, servers, horses, food, the whole show was amazing! We’ll always remember this night!
Marqala Daniels
If you're thinking about mixing up date night, or taking your kids/family out for entertainment. THIS IS THE PLACE. So much fun. I'm vegan and they have options, the staffing was so accommodating to me it was amazing!
Never a dull moment.
Joseph Jones
This was my first time and I wasn't sure what to expect. We ended up acting like 7 year old boys during the show and it was awesome. They keep in character from the moment you check in. No utensils are given for dinner so you eat with your hands which I thought was fun. Price is rather high so I don't know that I would go again but it is definitely worth going once.
Ricci Jones
This is my first time at this one yet I've been to others across the country and we always have a blast. It's so fun the comedic aspects, the beautiful and amazing horses, and the cast and staff are amazing as well. The food is ok but the fun part is having to eat with your hands due to them really wanting the guests to feel like they are in the Era, 11th century like the show. I highly suggest going at least once. It's well worth it.
Kayla Moore
Absolutely recommend! Great way to spend a night. Wonderful energy, great seats ans the food was amazing! Definitely bring your appetite becuade you're going to get alot of food! So exciting, and authentic. The o
Horses were beautiful and everyone seems to genuinely enjoy their job
Doc Block
My family & I really enjoy the show. Pageantry & Gallantry with every round. The staff was attentive even in the mass serving option. The horses and falcon were well trained. The special effects was great too. My only area for improvement was the food was not of higher quality. The vanilla ice cream tasted off.
Vanessa Call
Wonderful, exciting show. Great fighting. The falcon was amazing.
Food was delicious. All staff were very friendly. Prices at bar were high. Lobby was boring and did not have much to do while waiting. No access to see horses and the dungeon was closed. Of course the 4 souvenir stations were open.
Marie Davis (WanderWoman)
This was a fun and memorable night out for my friend's birthday dinner!
I chose the gluten-free dinner which replaces the garlic bread with hummus and carrots and replaces the dessert with your choice of melons or Italian ice. The food was way better than I expected! The half chicken was tender and juicy. The tomato bisque was flavorful and delicious. Strangely, there was no corn served as stated on their menu. It was substituted with half a piece of sausage. They also have vegan and vegetarian meal options.
The staff were friendly and prompt. Upon walking in the door we were greeted by a lovely "wench" who got us exceptionally good seats. The wait staff also dressed and acted within their roles throughout the dinner. The food and drinks kept coming! They were also quick to remove empty plates and provided foil-lined bags to take home any leftovers.
The seats were comfortable and reclined slightly -- we were sitting for a long time eating and watching the show. There is plenty of room between the seating rows and a lot of height, so you have an unobstructed view of the show. And what a show it was! I expected jousting (yes there is jousting), but the show also includes some comedy and lots of action. What I didn't expect was the Spanish stallions show. They danced and pranced and seemingly flew through the air. Very professional quality show with very beautiful Arabian horses and expert riders!
If you upgrade your seats, drink alcohol or plan on shopping at the gift shops, this could quickly become a very expensive night out. The website recommends you arrive an hour before the show and I'm glad we did! By getting there early, we were in second row seating. I was grateful to find a $16 off coupon online. Be sure to look for that! I believe tickets MUST be purchased online and they are non-refundable.
Cosplay is highly encouraged!

It was my first time ever being there. I had an amazing time! It was just me and a friend... We both said that we'd have to bring more people with us and try it again. Food was good. Show was even better! Hands down, I would go again in a minute!
Kathryn Matheson
Hands down one of the best places for entertainment! People of all ages will love it! The staff and crew are very dedicated to their characters. The food is great too! Servers really care about allergies and special diets of the audience. The knights will also be so kind as to throw roses for the ladies in the audience. The gift shop has some really cool stuff like my dragon goblet here.
I was in AZ for a family trip, but once I come back I will definitely go to another show. Well done guys!
Paul Delgado
First time visit to Medivial times and let just say it was worth the money. My family had a blast and were kept entertained the entire time. My eight year old enjoyed the sarcastic server/host the most, he that he was the funniest guy ever. We also enjoyed the falcon flying overhead during the show. The food was great and the drinks good (the big beer pictured is mine....lol). We will definitely be back again. If you are contemplating the cost, let just tell you. It was worth the money to see my kids smile in amazement.
Majin Buu
I enjoyed my time here very much. The show was entertaining, the food was great and so was the service. The actors did a top notch job at providing the best experience possible. I definitely recommend Medieval Times.
Athena Cruise
My husband and I chose to go on Christmas day, as all of our kids had alternate plans. We have never been before. We had a blast! The food was good, the entertainment was enjoyable, and the animals were incredible. We would do this again!
Alison Skinner
Medieval Times was an excellent experience! Our entire family had a great time. We called this experience a mash up of Harry Potter and Game of Thrones! Lol The staff was on point and it was a very fun experience. The "castle" was immaculatel. We said many times how good the food was. The horses and the performers were very entertaining and professional. Highly recommend for a family event, it was definitely memorable!
Becky O'Toole
What a great time! Location is good and the atmosphere was great. Food is always good and everyone working was friendly. Who doesn't love to travel back in time. We did the birthday package for my kid, she loved it. Birthday kid gets there named announced and everyone in your party gets a slice of cake. Can't wait to go back.
Tina Humphreys
The atmosphere was quite rowdy, which can be very fun on occasion. A bit dark to see what you’re eating but the food tasted great. Gobbled down the dessert as if it was my last meal. I loved the jousting and found myself yelling, “spare him spare him!” if you’ve never been, it is a must see!
Stephanie
We were visiting from New Mexico. I'm so glad we came, it was an awesome experience! It was totally worth the $. The horses are amazing and the show was so entertaining. My kids weren't thrilled about the food but I thought it was good.
Kal-El
Took our 4 yr old daughter to this!! She absolutely loved this place!! She loved meeting the Queen. And banging her sword against her shield. The yellow knight was our warrior. He was excellent and made my daughters night unbelievable. Not only did he give her a rose that she couldn't stop smelling ,but then he came back and let her take the ribbon of the tip of the joust. She grabbed it held it over her head and turned around to face the crowd. They erupted in cheers and claps. My daughter felt amazing, she loves the castle and loves her favorite yellow knight.
Linda Wong
Ohmygosh! What a fun, beautiful, exciting, amazing experience - you HAVE to do this! The show is amazing, horses are incredible, falconry is just WOW, the Queen, Knights, Squires, Servers, Horses, Food, the WHOLE SHOW, is one fantastic experience! Worth every penny - do it!
Tassa Bliss
So much fun for the whole family!! Bring ear muffs for sensory or babies it will be needed!!! Also stroller friendly but not down in front (we folded our up) but huge space up at the higher seating. Food was good alcohol was pretty pricey but I got to keep my glass.Get there early and be ready to scream!! We will be back for sure. The pics were not zoomed in, they were right there front row😃
Tiffani Nichole
We had a really good time. Everyone was so friendly. My kids were able to take photos with the queen before the show, and she regaled us with a tale of dragons. Very cool!
The show was great! Our knight was the yellow knight and we cheered so hard for him, our throats were sore after the show. The two hours flew by SO fast!
My only complaint was about the food, more specifically the dessert. The cream filled doughnut was ice cold, as was the cake. I expected the pastries to be warm. The appetizer was okay, as was the chicken. My favorites were the corn and the potato.
Overall, it was a great family outing. We had a lot of fun!
Nader S.
This place was such an amazing and fun experience, the food was great and the portions were huge. The show was excellent and the staff was super friendly!! Perfect place to bring guests or with your friends! They also have a bar! Highly recommend this place to just about anyone!! Cheers!!
Matthew Alldredge
What a place to spend an evening! The actors here were amazing! The way they were riding their horses, sparing and jousting, my voice is shot from all the cheering! And on top of the outstanding performance, the food is was great too! And they bring it right to you! I can not speak highly enough of this place! The staff was on top of everything and really make you feel like a noble. Please give them a try and you will not regret this wonderful event!
P.S. - I would recommend getting the armory early to pick from their assortment of real weapons there. They will hold them for you and you can get them after the show. So get there early and get what you want from there before you risk the chance of anything running out.
Cassandra Dunnings
My family dressed up in medieval attire for our visit and it made the experience even more exciting and memorable. The food was very good and the show was so entertaining. I can't forget our server, he had so much energy but was very attentive to our family. A night to remember.
Jennifer Breckenridge
Wow what a fun experience!! For the price and the food it's worth every penny! I wanted to visit the Dallas TX one but never got a chance so I'm so happy they put one in AZ we needed this! Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work and the dedication given to making the entertainment come alive 🙏🙏🙏 I will definitely be back to bring my mom and my bf's dad they missed out.
Greg R.
Wow, what a fun and memorable evening for our family. We took our youngest daughter (13) here for her birthday celebration and even at the age of "coolness", she got totally into the whole event, characters and of course rooting for our knight! Heck...we all did!
We got there right after the doors opened, and were greeted, guided and assisted by all staff, who were friendly, helpful, and always in character.
The castle itself is beautiful, and it was nice to grab our drinks, look through the shops, and we got to get up close and personal with the falconer and the falcon "Laurali". The falconer was friendly and answered all our questions.
We had bought the Queen's VIP package, which put us front row and center. A little pricey, but in retrospect, well worth it for the memories and fun we all had.
I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. I had heard that it wasn't that great from other reviewers. But we all enjoyed it. My eldest had been there before, and brought in a small bottle of Tabasco for the Dragon's Blood soup (tomato soup). And that took the soup from a 6 to a 9! The chicken was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The garlic bread was good, as was the corn on the cob. The potato was good, but cut too big, and so the seasoning would get overwhelmed by the potato. Still decent though. The eclair for dessert wasn't the best, but it was enjoyable. Lots of food. I couldn't finish.
The show was pretty awesome. The horses beautiful and amazing, the actors/stuntman - very impressive. One wrong move and there could be serious injury with how hard they are swinging their weapons during the fight scenes, or when crossing each other during the jousts.
The ONLY thing that was a bit of a bummer for us, was all five of us had a hard time understanding the dialogue of the actors. Some more than others. Not for their lack of projection and amplification. But the natural resonance in the arena, along with their "accents", made the definition of words hard to understand.
I missed much of the dialogue, but still could follow along a little with what was going on. I don't know if it was just our seating area or not. But for those with not great hearing (me), just a head's up! :)
Our daughter ended up being one of the "Queens of the Tournament", where our knight brought her a sash to commemorate it, delivered to her on the end of his joust. She was ecstatic! As were the rest of us watching it happen.
I won't give away any more details, but there were several interactions with the characters, that made the night even more intimate and personal.
Last word for this review is...as I mentioned, it is not "cheap". For the 5 of us, it was just over $400 for tickets. (And that was with a coupon). And then another $100 for drinks (no we didn't drink like fish ;). And then another $50/$60 for gratuity, and of course you need to get a couple souvenirs right?
But...seeing what goes into the show, and having a fun, exciting and memorable night...it was worth it. And we look forward to doing it again. Huzzah!
Yuvonne Wilson
It was our first time and we had a blast! The staff was great, the show was fantastic and there was more than enough food during service. An all around superb night out!
Susanne Tindall
Let me be very clear in this review...This only applies to this particular Medeival Times on this particular day. I have been to the California location and truly enjoyed it. I will try the Scottsdale, AZ location again as this is something that my family enjoys.
The show was great. It was exactly the same as the California location. The red knight threw himself into the show. My kids were really into it. I had them knighted after the show. They each picked a sword they wanted.
It was my older son's first time. The waitress was super friendly, but she was not as into things. I said something about the half a baby dragon and she said she stopped doing that. She said it made kids cry. I can understand it, but at the same time, it's part of the show.
I paid the upgrade fee. The California location has more rows and we wanted to be closer to the action. Also, I was there for my birthday and you get cake. You get the photo for free. What a waste. There are only 5 rows in this location so I went up to row 3. The cake was like Styrofoam with icing. I should have just paid the 20 for the photo and saved myself 60 dollars.
The chicken was over seasoned. Everyone in my party pulled the skin off or wiped off the seasoning before eating it. Actually, my younger son did not even eat his. The corn was spicy and made my mouth on fire. It was a very disappointing meal considering the price I paid for it, and the fact it was my birthday.
Lisa Pundt
It's stadium seating so that you can see the show. It's audience participation ( cheering) the food is excellent it's midevial themed so no utensils. No special orders everyone eats the same. Or they have a vegetarian option. Which I wholly recommend. It is well worth the price before the food and show you hang out in the castle portion and you can buy souvenirs etc. But it's pretty chachinggy!! So I hope you don't go broke there. We've been twice now. It's a great time my 15 and 17 year olds really enjoyed it. Great family entertainment and food!
Denny Radford
What an absolute treat. We had a party of nine who just paid for general admission. They tried to do a lot of upselling but you pretty much get the same experience and a better view of the arena with the general admission tickets. Show was about 2 hours long a lot of interaction with the crowd. Before the show there's a couple shopping venues that you can purchase items from they are very expensive. They also take items into the arena to get you to purchase during the show again very expensive. The food included a half a chicken potatoes garlic bread tomato basil soup and a dessert. Food was really good. Overall was a great experience we had great customer service we had a great waiters just wonderful. We would definitely return. Usually if you search you can find a discount code on their website.

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our one year anniversary and he surprised me with a trip to Medieval Times. I hadn't been to Medieval Times in over 17 years. This is my first visit to the one in Scottsdale. We had an amazing time. He got an extra package to spoil me. We had great seats. All of the action happened right in front of us. We were in the seats that were right in front of the center arena. We got two commemorative photos, cake (so two desserts!) Lanyards. And the super cheesey flag to wave that they used to give to everybody but they don't anymore. (Again it's been over 17 years since I have been to any Medieval times.)
After the show we took pictures with our Knight. I asked him if the same Knight wins every time. It is not the same color Knight. It changes each show. So you can definitely go more than once, take different people and be surprised at the outcome even if the show is the same.
The food was much better than I expected although my chicken was a little dry. My partners was not.
Our server Linda was so sweet and kind. The corn and the potato were amazing. If you can put this in your budget or you have something you are celebrating, somebody who loves the medieval theme, or you just like good awesome entertainment I definitely recommend Medievil times!
Shannon Miller
Wonderful experience! My 8 year old daughter enjoyed this a lot. Safety measures are all in place. Food was warm and fun to eat! Staff played their rolls very well.
Jason Oguma
We enjoyed ourselves. We sat right in the middle. The food was great to me. Wish they would post the prices of the drinks at the bar. Overall awesome experience
Brandi Strait
Great place for entertainment, fun and a full belly. The food is delicious and large and so good.
Heads up tickets are costly but worth it, they trick you to get souvenir cups before you enter at the bar or the souvenir toys or swords both in and out of the showing room and at the end they want tips. So plan on spending $300 or more.
Tristan N
We went as a large family group, and the kids from age 4-12 (as well as adults) had a great time. The show was extremely detailed and well acted. There was lots of action, and many things I wasn’t expecting, like beautiful showmanship with the horses. I don’t want to spoil too much. The server (marcel) was excellent and attentive. The food was filling and yummy. A must do family outing.
Natasha W.
Absolutely delightful. Professional, organized, fun and everyone I encountered was in character and charming. I'm 32 and never been here and now I'm mad at my parents that they never took me here as a kid. Totally blown away by the level of the performers. Drinks are generously poured and the chicken was legit out of this world. the quality of the food surpassed what I expected for a themed place that could scrape by on the show over the food but they dont
Peter Nystrom
Fun show but way overpriced for the experience. Also, I’d recommend not doing the upgraded seats. We were ticked away in the corner. I would’ve been happier higher up but in the center of arena. Food was average - chicken was super dry.
Andrea Massey
A-mazing! What a great family event. Clean. Fun. Exciting. Yellow Knight! Beautiful well trained horses and sword fights. The meal was simple enough for young palates to enjoy and flavorful enough to be enjoyed by adults as well. Cannot recommend enough.
KC Kwa
An excellent time all around. The actors are amazing, the staff is friendly, and the entertainment is excellent. It can easily become a pricey evening, but considering the quality of the meal, service, and entertainment, it is SO worth it! We got the Royal Upgrade and had a military discount and we took a group of 9 at about $60 a person.
Sir Dave
First and foremost the atmosphere and the show were great. I personally liked it better than Excalibur in Vegas. The staff was friendly and the place was nice and clean. I really enjoyed my time there. I hope to go again soon.
Sean Gunning
Had an awesome time. It's a great show and the actors enjoy playing their part. A ton of fun for the whole family. Even my skeptical kids greatly enjoyed it.
The Knights are clearly talented and the story is fun.
The food is pretty good as well. Starts off with a tomato basil soup, Texas toast, half a chicken, buttered corn and half a potato which you eat with your hands. Then they give you some vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce (which does come with a spoon). While not amazing food, it's really good and I feelt like with it and the show that we got our monies worth.
The Horses are amazing, the falcon was awesome and the Knights spectacular. It's a great place to go for the whole family.
Pierre Andrade
Food was great and very generous with the portions, Ice cream and coffee at the end as well!!! The show between multiple in knights was awesome and very entertaining for the family. Kids really enjoyed cheering and yelling for their color. Overall a memorable experience for my family. Staff was on point with the service as well as the showmanship. I highly recommend this for the family to enjoy and watch some good old fashion sport! Thank you Medieval Times!!!
Ryan D
I had an absolutely fantastic time. The show at 4:45pm was crowded, but not too crowded. Parties are well spaced in the dining hall. The theme of queen and knights is themed throughout the venue. Everyone is in costume, even some guests, and it makes for the perfect environment. Food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Show was very entertaining. There are souvenirs throughout so don't expect to leave empty handed, especially if you bring the kiddos.
Joe Mitchell (Big Mitch)
Nice place to take your family if you’re visiting Arizona (Scottsdale)…
Wonderful place..
And my little one got to be Queen…That was Awesome…
My server Anthony was also amazing.. Best server by far.
TJ
Medieval Times was a great event. Major credit to everyone involved in the whole process. To the workers at the front door, our server, to the actors themselves. So much work goes into putting on these shows and doing them multiple times a day. Major thanks and appreciation to the group. The food was good and the whole experience was one like non other. Highly recommend.
Mahendra Rao
I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was. I would recommend paying a little extra ($10-$20) and getting an upgrade to get seats closer to the show. It's worth it. Heads up: This is a a place one would go to for the experience and not the food. There is no wide variety of dishes. It's a fixed menu dinner. But man, was it good! The gift ship was also surprisingly inexpensive considering establishments like these have exorbitantly priced gift shops. As for the service, we were literally (addressed me as "Milord") and figuratively treated like royalty. The hawk, horse master, knight duels and jousting were my personal favorites. The first few games on horseback with the rings and the bullseye is on the bottom of that list.
The experience is very entertaining and perfectly suited for families and parties. Worth the money, worth the time and definitely worth a second visit if this stuff is up your alley.
MIGUEL RODRIGUEZ
It was great, The only inconvenience is the fact I have a child with Autism The high volume sounds was too much for him. He wasn't able to see the show as he was overwhelmed by the loud noise. I honestly understand that this is part of the show, I would have been better prepared if there was any advice or notice previously on the advertisement. By the way the staff was very nice and helped my wife and child as they stayed in the Lobby area, provided with food, drinks. Honestly I would recommend the experience to others, I would like to go again with my child if he could enjoy the experience. Thank you all and Medieval Times for Ever.
Brendon Ferrin
A great experience for the whole family! The show was wildly entertaining, the food was quite good for the amount of people that are served in a short period of time, and it was a great time to go out and yell and cheer!
Would recommend going at least once and cheer your knight on to victory!
Megan Encinas
Kids enjoyed it and it was a good memory for them ❤ with that being said it is definitely worth bringing them here for the experience.
For the price u pay per child & adult.. u would think the food they serve u would be a little better. Adults and kids all got the same amount of food.
Tomato bisque with garlic bread to start off.
Then,
Chicken leg quarter, small frozen corn on the cob, potato cut in half. (Which my kids did not want to eat except the corn)
And for dessert half cup of ice cream with some kind of flavored sauce on top. ..
Yes it was all good. But for me paying 100$ per adult and $50 per kid.. like ok...
And I understand the up keep of horses and all the staff. .but the acting was absolutely terrible. And the horses were foaming at the mouth which made me very uncomfortable. It was almost like they were being forced or tortured to do these stunts. Just didn't look right at all. Personally did not enjoy the show or the food.

Our family of five attended the show on 3/23/22. We arrived at 6:30 PM, which was plenty of time to check in, get your crowns, and wait in the giant foyer. We did not buy alcohol, but many people were using this time to buy drinks. Around 645, the host appears in the balcony, welcomes the crowd, and dismisses people by color and table. Very orderly. We were in the green section. There isn’t really a bad seat in the arena, even though we were in the top row, we had good views. Our server was Logan, he was awesome, very attentive and worked hard. The servers have a long way to go to and from the kitchen, he got a lot of steps in. By 6:57 he was serving us soup (delicious), came back with Texas Toast at 7:03, and lastly came the drink choices (water, Pepsi or lemon safe) at 7:08. So unlike previous Reviewers complained about, the wait between drinks and soup was not that long, and definitely not an issue.
There was always action in the arena, beautiful horses, and an incredible display of falconry by Falconer Antiono! The court jester or funny guy that bantered back and forth with the queen was great - Chancellor Lord Cedric. He kept thing lively. Sir Casey of Aragon was the host, he rode around the arena, he was also phenomenal! The 6 knights were talented and great actors and horsemen. Maybe around 7:30 we got a huge breast of chicken (hot, tasty), then corn on the cob (yum) and potato wedge (perfectly seasoned). You eat with your hands. No worries there. King of Valencia gifted the queen a beautiful horse, so they brought him out, that was awesome to watch, beautiful horse.
Finally the fighting began - jousting, sword fighting, and general rowdy good times. Crowd was loud and into it. Desert was ice cream with caramel and coffee - perfect.
Show ended at 8:57, we loved every minute. Great value. Highly recommend.
Cindy Beckner
Super fun time. Only four stars for the food because there was no selection. But it was good, I was just looking forward to a steak, not chicken. But we were the queen's peasants lol 🙃
Tony T
Good times. The super VIP isn't worth the extra $$. All in 2 adults and one 4 year old... with wine, souvenir glasses, Knighton by queen, 3 blue flags, 1 blue shield, a jack and coke, tip. $450
Candace D
So much chicken but it was cooked perfectly. Came with soup, garlic bread, potato, corn on cob, drink and desert, that u have to eat all with your hands. The show was great and doesn't matter what age u r 2-100 u must go once

Coming from someone who visits the Arizona Ren Fair every year I will admit that this is not that. But I did enjoy myself greatly. If you have ever been to the pleasure feast at the ren fair this IS that but with horses. It is an enjoyable experience that I would whole heartily recommend for those of you who enjoy this sort of thing, you know who you are, and if you have to ask if you are one of those people I would recommend waiting for the ren fair and going there first you will save a bunch of money. That is my only real complaint here, everything is massively overpriced from tickets to cocktails. Between a single ticket and one beer in a souvenir mug, I was pushing 100 dollars for 2 hours of entertainment and an ok meal of dry chicken, delicious corn and taters, and an eclair desert. By no means am I saying this is bad, you are paying for the experience of eating with your hands, cheering on a knight champion and enjoying some good acting. All in all 8/10 will probably do again.
Jared Newnam
We had a blast. It was one of the best Renaissance-style events we've ever been to. The action was spot on and safe for kids.
The food was very awesome.
Drinks: Pepsi, lemonade, water or tea
Bar drinks: A wait(er/ress) comes around and takes your order and delivers the drink. I bought a tall beer. (Glass + beer = $32). I keep the glass and every refill is $8-10 for life, just have to bring the glass back.
1. Bowl of soup
2. Garlic bread
3. Roast chicken
4. Seasoned baked potato
5. Dessert/Coffee
You are encouraged to eat with your hands and they provide hand sanitizer. They have forks/spoons for the younger ones. But you're meant to eat like a king.
The knights came out and threw fresh carnations into the crowd.
The sword fighting was very well choreographed. Every sword hit came with a spark. There was jousting, hand-to-hand combat and some very well trained horses.
I used my veteran status to get tickets. 4 people (3 over 12 yrs, 1 under 12 yrs) on a basic dinner package is $236. I logged in with my ID.me account and saved about $75.

This was our first time visiting Medievil Times. It was better than we imagined. All of the staff were great and they stayed in character. The food was fantastic and the service was great. I can't adequately express how amazing the show was! We came for our 35th Anniversary. I am the one who always wanted to go as my husband was never interested in this time period. One of the best parts of the evening was seeing my husband cheer for our team! Now he is hooked. We even got our photo taken. This place is highly recommended!!!
Heather Mitsuda
Loved everything about this experience! We showed up 30 minutes early and we could have been earlier because of all the stuff in the front room. It's was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be coming back!
Selene Beltran
Fun times with the kids. Food was good and good portions, we were more than full. Drinks were good but, pretty expensive. Our server was great.
Shannon Wehn
I always love bringing friends and family to this show. I always get a new color as well. I have to say the dessert switch from ice cream to an eclair was great!! The food is always tasty and the drinks are amazing as well (just wish they weren't so expensive but that's everywhere now it seems) love this place!!❤️
Danial Sims
I love coming here! The entertainment is always wonderful! The chicken was delicious and juicy! I wish I could buy one of those awesome plates!
Grace Niu
We took a group of teenager boys to a show and was pleasantly surprised of the amazing experience. They LOVED it! The atmosphere was realistic, the show was entertaining and the food was tasty and delicious. I definitely recommend this place for a family event outing.
Stacy Olson
Entering the castle was easy and fast. The food was good our server was great. One thing I would change is the lengthy conversation. It gets hard to understand what they are saying which then had us feeling like we missed something.
Sharlene Butler
We decided to go to Medieval Times for family night and it was great! Be prepared to spend a lot of money! You will go home with a lot of souvenirs. The kids had a great time. The horses were beautiful and the show was entertaining. Food was okay and White Castle is right down the road. Drinks were fruity and delicious. Wine, beer and frozen drinks in souvenir cups. We spent $75 on drinks alone.
Tiffany Roye (Sorne)
We took the 2 hour trip from Tucson to come and have a good time, and we're NOT DISAPPOINTED!! All of the staff and performers were absolutely amazing!! Master of Horse, Chelsea was my favorite part 🥰 OH! And their matching masks were so cool! …
Brian Newman
Absolutely amazing time! I went with a fairly large group of 9 people who had never experienced this (trust me, experience is the right way to describe it, it's not just dinner and a show" and we all had a phenomenal time. From the time you arrive outside to see the castle like structure complete with realistic front gates and portcullis to the interior and how everyone is greeted as " Mi'lord and Mi'lady" it's just a fun experience.
The food was great and they offer 3 different options depending on if one is on a vegan, vegetarian, or no dietary restriction and it was really tasty food and done in multiple courses. After all the courses are done you definitely get your money's worth of food.
On to the live performance and action! To not ruin anything I will keep it broad and that you have knights jousting and participating in a grand melee and it's just so captivating. Add on to this all of the incredible horsemanship and the multiple cheering sections for each knight and you have just a grandiose time.
All in all, definitely worth going to if you want something a bit different than a dinner and a movie night out
Amy Mccurry
We loved this. Took the family and so enjoyed the show. The knights engaged us all in the revelry. Jousting and sword fighting was riveting! Go, have fun, get loud and enjoy the show and the amazing feast.
J
Very good show with a tasty dinner that fills you up. The horses are beautiful and well trained, the show has excellent actors that is well worth the money
Tracy lewis
I had the best time here! Not only are the performers fantastic but the food is great and everyone there is so friendly!
Joshua Bazgrim
Fantastic experience! Great show! My mother and I both loved it. Vegetarian options for her. Bought the royalty package. Picture came out great, fantastic seats. Lots of cool things at the gift shop. Unfortunately could not hear part of the show over a man who was boo-ing very loudly at literally every knight every minute or so. Probably drunk.
Lulie Aviles
The show was very nice put together and the food wasn’t too bad. The server was pretty attentive and her accent fit the theme!
Paul Bird
Good goofy silly fun. Horses dancing, lances shattering, sparking swords and flying falcons. Dinner is good and Medieval: eaten with your hands and more than you can eat. Definitely recommended, especially for kids of all ages.
Tracy Milam
Great Entertainment, and great food! We had friends come into town kids ranging from 15, 14, 13, and 12. They loved everything!
Alice Daedric
My husband, son and daughters first time and they had a blast. The energy was immaculate and exciting, it’s definitely a great outing not just for family but for a date night or just to go out with friends.
Nichole Smith
I had so much fun the performance was fantastic and the staff were so kind some of my group had sensitive ears and the staff member noticed and gave them ear plugs I would love to visit again!!
Sine M. Scott-Surwill
We had a ball with daughter and grandkids.
Granddaughter caught flower from Green Knight and everybody cheered loudly
Food was very tasty !
Jennifer Martinez
This Medievel times is so clean!!!!!!! The food was delicious and the service was SUPERB! I was on vacation and brought the kids because the one they have in Kissimmee, Florida is nothing like this one. Location here is amazing! Definetly coming back!
Sheyanne ingraham
Was amazing! The food was delicious and all of the staff were super nice! The entertainment was a perfect 100/10
Chris Parker
Fun dinner show! The food is OK but the show was pretty entertaining and I'm glad we went to try it out once.
The Eargasm W LP
Don't miss this experience!!!!
What an amazing experience!! After relocating to Arizona this was a great thing to experience as a family. The knights and other show members are amazingly talented!!
This is def a great family event, be prepared to spend some money, but the prices reflect the merchandise you get to keep (especially when you order drinks!)
I highly recommend experiencing this! Varying packages and price points for any budget and they also do military discounts on tickets if you're a vet!!
Chase Christensen
This place was so cool! Great experience and the food was excellent, but don't be afraid to use your hands!!!!! We will definitely be going back for another show.
Troy Arsenault
Everything from start to finish was efficient and fun. The show was fantastic, I found myself cheering quite loudly for our Green Knight.
Tanyia Letterman
We had a blast of a good time.. everything was as well expected and more!! Great place to take the family or enjoy as a group ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dx Niets
4th time going to Medieval Times and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the staff was the best. Or server kept us laughing and entertained the whole time. The whole experience was amazing. The only issue I had was that I got so into it I was buying all kinds of stuff.
Peter Millunzi
A great (k)night out that's out of the ordinary. It's a little pricy and the food is just ok, but the show the knights put on is phenomenal. Part joust and part professional wrestling-style sword fights. There are also wonderful horsemanship displays. Great for the whole family and even more fun if you dress up.
Giselle Lopez
If you are looking for something different to do with the whole family this place is the perfect place for you. it was my first time going there and on my birthday it made the experience even better💜 I had the most amazing time the food was delicious the service was outstanding I really recommend this place especially if you have children they will really enjoy it🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Alicia D
Awesome experience, we had a lot of fun. The falcon, horses and sword fighting had our kids totally captivated. We really enjoyed the whole experience, it was definitely worth it to get the vip package for front row seats. The food was good, nothing gourmet or spectacular but tasty & a big portion! You get a half a rotisserie chicken each, half a roasted potato and half a corn cob with soup & bread. So more than enough grub for most. The whole thing lasted 2 hours and was entertaining from beginning to end. The facility is beautiful, clean and decorated spot on for the theme. The actors were very good and seemed to enjoy being part of the experience. Highly recommend this for families, the staff were so friendly and accommodating to our little guys.
Gene Sellards
I enjoyed the show, even though I felt it was overly long. The early part, the horse show was good. I really enjoyed the sports portion. It was very entertaining. The food was much better than I anticipated for this type venue. The service was especially good for the number of people to serve. The sound was loud but was difficult to understand. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening with my wife and friends.
O. B.
First time here and we had an absolute blast!
Update edit - we've been frequent attendees and have gone every other month - it has been an amazing experience every single time.
Food is always tasty, staff is always accommodating and kind, and the show is always spectacular. If you have not yet gone, you are missing out! Great value for dinner and a show!
Anna Thundergun
We recently had the pleasure of attending Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona and I must say, it was one of the most entertaining shows I have ever seen. From the moment we arrived, my kids and we were having fun. The performances, the outfits, the horses, and the brilliant riders all combined to create an immersive and exciting experience.
As we took our seats in the grand hall, the atmosphere was electric. The medieval-themed decor added to the sense of authenticity, and the anticipation for the show was palpable. As the lights went down and the show began, we were immediately drawn into the action.
The performances were top-notch, with skilled knights battling it out in thrilling jousting matches and sword fights. The horses were magnificent and the riders were incredibly talented, executing a series of impressive tricks and maneuvers. The costumes were also stunning, with intricate details and authentic-looking armor.
But the entertainment wasn't limited to the performances on stage. Throughout the show, we were treated to interactive elements, such as the chance to cheer on our chosen knight and participate in medieval-themed games and activities. It was a great way to keep the audience engaged and make the experience even more fun.
The dinner was also a highlight of the evening. The food was delicious and plentiful, with a hearty medieval-themed feast that included roasted chicken, spare ribs, and more. And the show was wonderful, with a series of well-choreographed and exciting scenes that kept us on the edge of our seats.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament and will definitely be returning for more entertainment in the future. If you're looking for a unique and exciting way to spend an evening in Scottsdale, I highly recommend giving Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament a try. It's sure to become one of your new favorites!
Robert Mead
Had a great time. The atmosphere was excellent, everyone even the staff seemed to be enjoying themselves. The horses looked well taken care of, two of them were stressed and need some work. The food was boring, however expected for the experience. I understand the experience called for no silverware (but it should be an option.) As well there isn't any reason other than laziness for not having latching booster seats or high chairs. Overall a great not overly priced time.
lakeijonay hamilton
Food was too salty for me but the event was nice. We has a great time. Great alcohol. Fun time!
Dewayne Carel
What a great escape from the modern world! Plenty of good food and spectacle that last two hours. Makes for a great night out for the family and a date.
Alexander Diamond
Everything was excellent, it was especially engaging for the kids, one including a toddler who we thought would have been not attentive and wild, but they pulled through the whole show. Horses were beautiful and well trained. They do net the arena when the jousting starts to protect the crowd. Was not overly impressed with their cake for the celebrations upgrade, tasted more like some store-bought from Walmart, but the main food was as expected. The chicken was delicious and plentiful. Our server was excellent and patient (we made sure to tip as she was awesome handling so many people). The souvenir cups are great take home items to keep the memories going. I did like how they spaced out the families so you are not shoulder to shoulder with other people not familiar with. The actors were definitely entertaining although some at the gift shop counters break character and text on their phones or disappear somewhere, I guess they were not concerned about getting items stolen? Overall was good experience.
Steve Oneil
Great experience. Took my daughter there for her birthday and she loved it. Hightly recommend this for your kids.
Service, food, and entertainment was perfect.
TJ Denton
Fantastic event. It is the perfect night out, great for a date or even a family. You are served a huge meal including a delicious tomato bisque. The show is a breathtaking display of, medieval sporting, jousting, swordfighting, and even falconry. Expensive but worth every penny.
Juan Castro
Excellent family place. It's a show witha good dinner. Great for families with kids.
Albert Giron
Recommend paying up for the Queen's Royalty package. You sit up close like almost an arm's length from all the action. Seeing the horses and knights is a sight to behold. Plus you get picture memory for each one of your guest
Albina
Such a fun time at this place!! the show is very entertaining and keeps the audience engaged! the chicken was yummy... would probably pass on the tomato bisque or perhaps they can update the recipe a bit to give it more flavor.
Kristi Braunz
Such a fun experience! Even for adults it is pretty fun. They are very efficient with time and prompt with serving food. I will definitely recommend this to other family members.
Shelby Hill
11/10. The show of a life time for my first time that I will remember. The staff were all happy and bright and show great charisma. I am captivated entirely the whole time between the heroic lord knights. The queen was gracious and wonder when she spoke with the heart of a wonderful ruler. She put on a magnificent show along side the Lord Chancellor and the wonderful and evermore Lord Marshall. Our Server Logan did amazing and was very friendly. A grand huzzah to everyone.
Jerry Rivera
More impresive show and service than expected. Well worth the rpice and trip. One of the most beautiful shows I've seen. Extremly talented and skilled artists and true masters of their craft. A must see for sure. No regrets at all.
Laura Roe
Taking my husband here for his birthday was so much fun! Great food, great entertainment, awesome service, and all around great time!
Clayton Helm
Wonderful, fun experience for the kids! The guy next to me obviously had a blast as well. I'm a big eater, so I was worried the dinner was going to leave me unsatisfied. I shouldn't have been. The dinner was great and plenty of it. The show was fun. You could tell the knights are proud of their jobs. The queen seemed bored and like she would have preferred to be somewhere else, but the rest of the cast made up for it. Drinks were pretty expensive because of the souvenir glass you get, but to be honest, I'm not even mad about it and glad I have the cups now. Overall, great time for the family.
Adam Pals
An awesome family experience! Spoil the kids and get flags and banners to cheer with! Everything is streamlined and plenty of staff. Tip the waitresses/waiters as they bust their butts. The show was well done and very entertaining.
Neeka Robinson
I loved the show but the meal was small for the price half of everything half chicken half potato half corn on the cob had to eat when we got home but the show yes but will not be going back was not worth the price
David Paul
We had a fabulous time and very much enjoyed our time at the castle. Prices were a bit high but in the economy we are in they were understandable. Food was good, roasted chicken, tomato soup, garlic bread, corn on the cob, roasted potato and a cream filled pastry for desert. Drink prices were decent. Only thing negative is that I wish they could start the dinner well before the tournament so that you could enjoy the show without having to try to eat and cheer for your knight at the same time. My grandson who has had little or no knowledge of the medieval times of kings, queens, princes, princesses, knights, etc, had a great time and had many questions. My favorite part was teaching him how you properly approach a king or queen by bowing before them.
Nate Whittum
Long live the black and white knight! The entertainment was fantastic. The food and our server were outstanding. Great place to take a group and root for your knight and make some noise
Doc Kovacs
FUN..for young and old (us). The food large portion - 1/2 Roasted Chicken. The service, Mondo, great
The show GREAT, COLIRFUL, CONSTANT.
A Great Evening.
Be aware that it is COLD inside.
Great parking.
Danny
Brings back so many memories from when I went when I was younger on a trip to California and it didn’t disappoint.
From the entrance to the show and everything in between! Plus if you love the Renaissance Festival, you’ll definitely love this show.
The food was great and the staff was wonderful and all were friendly. I can’t wait to visit plenty more times in the future.
Michelle Mccullough
It was a lot of fun for me us and my 7 year old. Be prepared to spend extra money. 3 drinks cost around $60 with purchase if the glasses/cups. My son spent about $50 on a sword and shield. The food wasn't great but we didn't go there for the food. The soup and bread were good. The chicken was a little dry, the corn and dessert were kind of gross. The experience for us and my son is what gives it 5 stars
Michael Sullivan
Such a great experience! Our family really enjoyed it. The service was fantastic. The food was really good. Everything they served was something you would eat with your hands. At the end, with the bevy of drinks, the banter from the serfs and the whimsical narration by the MC, you felt like you were dining in Medieval Times. We shall return!
Kari Lawrence
Great atmosphere, food, and show! They really work hard to sell you everything as you’re trying to enjoy the show. Service was slow but food was good. They now offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Show was really fun but they wasted time talking too much. Let the show be about the competition between the knights! Fun place for adults and kids.
Jenna Adkins
Took our kids here (aged 14 and 13) while visiting family for the holiday, it was a great night out. The service was friendly and efficient. The show was paced perfectly; crowd was energetic and engaged. We cheered for our black-and-white-night and had a terrific time. 5 out of 5 stars …would go again.
Michael Marleau
It is a fun show especially on first visit. I have been to 4 of these. Fun atmosphere, decent food, fantastic for people watching..
Seth
This was by far worth the money. The food was good, the service was great everyone was friendly. Prepare to pay alot for drinks with the souvenir cup cost me $60 for 2 drinks, BUT the drinks were good and I did get the cups. Great first time experience. Even bought a dragon dagger for $55 great price! All in all I will definitely be going back again.
nayvee grace
We always have an amazing time when we come here. I love the seats so much more than what the have in Buena Park. The staff has been pleasant, attentive, and helpful. If you can spring for it, always go with the VIP tickets, it’s a much better experience, better seats, closer to the action. The food is always the same, but it’s good. They change up the plot line so it’s not the exact same story every time even though it’s mostly the same sequence. The louder and more interactive you are, the better the experience.
Vanessa B
The actors both on the field and of the service was amazing. They are deserve more compensation. The knights were well spoken, and even better at riding and acting. The kids adored the action. The food was served fast, and tasty. Would say this is a must see event.
Jonathan Mills
Took my daughter for her birthday and she loved it. They put on an excellent show.
Brian McQuistion
We bought tickets for my folks and my in laws, there were six of us and it was a great family experience. We would definitely take our grandson back to see this show again. The food was decent and the seating was great. The actors and the horses did not disappoint, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be generic, but they actually jousted on horse back and it was pretty darn cool and as real as it gets. The sword fighting was pretty awesome too, they used all kinds of different weapons of the times in hand to hand fighting. It was great and very enjoyable. We recommend this show for sure.
Richard Havartine
It was an amazing experience and a wonderful experience! I took my wife for her birthday and she couldn't have been happier.
Tia M
Absolutely a Great experience. My family enjoyed it. I do recommend not bringing small children while it says three and under are free they can get bored really easy. Definitely do not bring small babies it is incredibly loud! But worth the experience! The food is delicious, served nice and hot. It is a more immersive type experience so you eat with your hands unless you request silverware. You get a choice of Pepsi, water and lemonaid included with your meal and after dessert the serve coffee. You also have the opportunity to order adult beverages at your table. They have a full bar outside of the arena area as well. They have a gift shop for both kids things and adults. They are a bit on the spendy side so bring your wallet.
Christian Chavez
Amazing experience fun show for the family huge portions of food. Everything at the bar is served in a take home cup so you'll be spending $20 on beer depending on the size of the cup refills range from 10-14. There's also a ton of different cups to choose from too.
Matt Karls
What a great experience! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They took temperatures when you walked in and they required face coverings in the public areas before the show. The food was served promptly and tasted great. The tournament and the show were exciting and filled with adventure like you would expect from any medieval times. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for something to do for a dinner and a show or just happen to be in the North Scottsdale area and you want some adventure.
Manuel Torres
Went out there tonight with a group of friends, performance was awesome but our server Linda really stile the show. Super kind, courteous, and very friendly. (Didn't hurt that she was easy on the eyes.) This was my second time going and yet again it was fantastic, wish I knew the recipe for the Tomato Bisque, 10/10 would go again! Yellow House!!
Adam Crabtree (moledrools)
Absolutely amazing 👏 outstanding actors, and the waiters/ waitress ( wench / peasant) Absolutely great. I have nothing bad to say, you will have a great time. The is food amazing everytime, to the point I just want to steal a extra half of chicken. Overall definitely fun, will go over and over again. It never gets old.
Can I say, that tonight my daughter had the best birthday 🎂 ever. Thank you medevil times
Kaleb Knightley
Entertainment through the full 2 hours food was decent main course was half chicken everything was hot and fresh the bar service is good as well. Where they really shine is the show everyone was very professional throughout the show and very coordinated kids of all ages will enjoy. Seating is stadium style every seat is a good seat to see the show.
Laura Yvonne Pelletier
Food plain but excellent. Service was excellent and a lot of fun. Not for everyone, but I thought well worth the cost.
Chris Comeau
It really was great! Good food and drink. Fun for the whole family. Much more fun in a big group. At first I thought it was too expensive but for how much food and the show its great!
Tara Music
5 stars all around! The entire experience was worth every penny. My family had a great time!
Lisa Vargas
ITS A MUST DO FAMILY TRIP. Had a blast the show was great food and servers,
Riena Santana
I was a guest. It was a beautiful and memorable experience. Our food was delicious and we had great service.
I don't have the right words to describe this place! The handsome knights and beautiful horses decked out in their beautiful attire, the servers and rest of the staff as well. I truly enjoyed and 💕 Love Love ❣️ Medieval Times. Especially when the knight dressed in blue handed me the red carnation. Made my day! The performance transforms you to a bygone Era! Love it!!!
Miranda Fenlon
DO NOT PASS THIS UP!! This was easily one of the coolest experiences of my (and my daughters) life. Took my daughter here for her birthday and purchased the queen package. The entire experience was amazing from the walking into the castle and initial crowning, to the medieval seating and tableware, the food and its medieval presentation, the Falcon and horse performance and of course the knights show with jousting, fights, and other theatrics. There is so much packed into one show, it is truly incredible. My daughter was also chosen as the queen of our team in the performance and our knight won the tournament, so it was extra cool!
Mike Noack
I'd give it 4.5 out of 5. The food was mediocre (chicken was good, potatoes were undercooked, corn was tasty, but the dessert was a previously frozen mini eclair you can get in any grocery store). Now that that's out of the way, the show, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. I would and plan to go back just for the show and would recommend it in a heartbeat if you get a reservation for dessert somewhere else after.
Adam Michalski
O....M.....G!!!!! Now, first off, if you plan on drinking, you MMMIIIGGGHHHTTT want to pre-game! The drinks were Decent at best. The show was GREAT! Beautiful horses! Its been 20+ years since ive been to Midevil Times but it CERTAINLY did not disappoint!
Kristina Davison
The actors did a great job keeping the crowd engaged - personally felt the yellow and red knight played up the crowd the best tonight! The bar wenches were friendly, and our server, Mike, was engaging, funny, and provided fantastic service throughout the event. 10/10 - thanks Mike & all the MT staff for providing an engaging and fun afternoon for our Grandma's birthday ❤️
Zoë Z
Such a fun place to visit! Staff are so nice and very accommodating. Since it was my birthday I was "knighted" and I had my service dog with me-- one of the workers offered me a chair (instead of kneeling) and the staff was respectful of my "royal protector." It was a great experience overall and I can't wait to be back
Christina Schrant
Great meal, great entertainment, very fun atmosphere. Customer service was fantastic.
I went in a group of four, and the phone that had our ticket info got dropped and was broken the morning of our show.
We called ahead and "Maidenwench Stacey" was able to look up our confirmation number with the purchaser's name and phone number. We were able to get inside with no issues!
The food was very tasty and the servers were very friendly. I will be going back!
Alicia Diaz
We loved it. Its pricey but worth it. Food was great, no complaints. Yes, show is super choreographed but still entertaining and the characters engaged the crowd. Server was nice, friendly, attentive. I was really surprised with how clean this place was. Horses, dust, went in thinking it will smell and I'm eating in dust. Totally not the case at all. My 10 year old loved it so much he was asking when are we going back. I highly recommend!
Phil Maxwell
Truly a magnificent experience for all to enjoy. Highly recommend this show especially if a birthday is to be celebrated.
Laura Spath
Fun experience for the family. We didn't buy the upgraded seats and they were perfectly fine. I bought my kids a flag to wave from the gift shop and saved a bunch of money by not doing VIP package for everyone.

First time visit with the entire gang, pricey yes, but we had fun. We spent somewhere between $500-$600 for a group of 6. Place is nice, overall the staff was really organized, place was really clean, great variety for drinks & good looking souvenir cups. My son dropped his glass & they replaced it immediately, souvenir glass chalet & drink. The place was at about 50% capacity & we sat somewhere in the 3rd row & had an excellent view. You really can’t go wrong with seating. Originally I wanted pay extra for front row seating, worried we’d miss the show, I’m glad I didn’t. The service was great. Food is really simple but good. Beautiful costumes, choreography, and horses. The story could probably use an update, it’s missing a little spice. Excellent special effects/music/lights it felt like a good quality production. My children loved it, the entire fam cheered on our rider/knight. Definitely a one of a kind experience and that’s what you pay for & we recommend it.
AD Rodriguez
It was my very first time, but I had a lot of fun. Everybody was so helpful and making sure I was enjoying my time. Dinner was excellent. The knights and the queen and pretty horses, the battles such a good time you should definitely visit and be part of all that.
Kris Daves
Took our kids and they loved the show. It was fun, exciting and different than the regular trip to a movie theater. The food was fantastic and plentiful. We will definitely come back soon.
Monica Ervin
Had a great time for my birthday with my fiancé! Food was tasty, the actors and staff were engaging and it was just a fun experience all around!
Maria Dolores Belanger
SHOW WAS SO INTENSE & ENTERTAINING💯 !!! Service was on point, unfortunately, I didn't get our servers names to give them credit for their awesome job.
FOOD 🍗 🍲 was 👌 and so were the
DRINKS 🍸 (Pricey but worth it) BRING THE FAMILY, A DATE, OR JUST WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND HAVE A GREAT TIME! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
John Anglin
Went there for Our Grand Daughters 10 Birthday. 6 of us. We upgraded to the Queens Royalty package. 1st of all Our Guy Won. You pay a Extra $30. Per person and that Happens. Anyway the Food was Surprisingly Good. And there was Plenty. The Drinks Were Spendy , totally expected... The Show Was Pretty Good. Found Myself Cheering for Our Red and Yellow Knight. The Look in My Grand Daughters Eyes , was Priceless as She was Chosen by the Red and Yellow Knight as the Princess of the Games. Pretty Cool !!!!
Jason Claiborne
Went with work for a team builder and was outstanding experience. I have been to the southern California location and the service and horses were better at this spot. The food was good, service friendly and a great show. Although this is not a repeat venture it is something you should do at least once.
Jenny Wonnacott
This was such a great experience. 10/10 would recommend. All of the knights were great and kind to us after the show. The best part of the night was our server Cody, who we all vote should be one of the knights, so if y'all could get on that please, he rocks!
Adam Corbin
Took my mother-in-law here so we could all experience something new together as a family. The show wasn't horrible, but the acting needs some work. During one of the jousting tournaments they missed each other entirely, but then threw themselves off of their horse. Everyone saw it, and everyone laughed. The server seemed irritated the entire night, and he seemed like he absolutely hated his job. Food wasn't bad, but we paid the extra $20 so we can have a slice of cake for my mother-in-law's birthday. The cake was horrible and tasted old. The free eclairs tasted better than the cake we paid extra for. We wanted to try something new, and we did, but have no reason to go back...
Terifive
We had an amazing time at our visit to Medieval Times- the animals, the show, the food were all outstanding. From the moment we stepped foot into the castle we were treated like royalty. I highly recommend you join in the fun of cheering on your knight and enjoying an event that is anything but ordinary!
Amber Dutton
The staff was amazing and friendly! Shout out to Linda our server! She was so attentive and provided quick service. The show itself is super fun and engrossing and great for all ages.
Yellow house! <3
Rachel Howlet
This place was awesome! I seriously want to show it to all of my family- especially my little nieces and nephews. The horses are absolutely gorgeous! They performed brilliantly and the staff is in full character from the moment you enter the castle entrance. Food is served while you watch the show. I was especially happy to know they had a vegetarian option for me as long as you request it. It's pricey but for what you get it's really not bad but the beer could have a nicer price tag- 3 beers was $75!
Ron KJV MDCXI
Good family time there. Very enjoyable experience. It's pricey but worth it. The food they serve you while you watch the events, is really good. Big portions. Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to see it again.
Chris Moffitt
The show was great, the food was good, the atmosphere is fun even if you don't completely go along with the roll playing they're still very welcoming and accommodating. Their prices are a little bit on the high side and you may find yourself too caught up in the show to remember to eat your food but overall it's definitely a fun treat and something I feel everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
Tiffany Boonvisate
The show was fantastic the food was great and it was all in all a wonderful time I would recommend everybody go it’s so much fun! I took my husband and my dad to the show for Father’s Day and they enjoyed themselves immensely!
Linda Garcia
My family went to try something new that took reservations given the Superbowl crowd is starting to form. I was pleasantly surprised that it was entertaining the entire time and my 2 young kinds never once said they wanted to go home. Parents, big win! It's almost worth it to pay not to hear arguing for a few hours! : )
yvette martinez
My husband gave me a mother daughter day for Mother's day and it was such a great time. The food and service was great. The show is very entertaining and the whole audience gets to participate. We had a blast.
Gary Hyde
My sister and law surprised us with tickets on our visit out and it was more than expected. The kids were knighted and we had a great time. The experience from start to finish was unforgettable.
T P
The employees at the merchandise booths were very friendly. The only options for drinks at dinner were water or Pepsi, and the Pepsi was flat unfortunately. The soup was served room temperature and would have benefited from salt. The corn was delicious though. We enjoyed our slush drinks too.
Jamie Winston And Family
Was the most amazing time! Fantastic food, excellent service, entertaining show. So worth the money. Highly recommend!!! Would ABSOLUTELY love to go again.
Becca J
Absolutely Amazing! My family and I had the most amazing time at Medieval Times in Scottsdale today. The show was very exciting and entertaining and the horses were absolutely beautiful. My granddaughter Hailey caught the first flower from the Red and Yellow knight as the Knights were entering the arena. Then they brought over a piece of cake and ice cream for her birthday. The Red and Yellow Knight who was our section's Knight, won the tournament. Then the Queen asked her champion to pick his queen of love and beauty and as the Knight walked around with the queen, he then picked our granddaughter. They even took a pic with her for us. It was truly an amazing, highly entertaining experience and a memory we will treasure forever.
I "highly" recommend coming to a show if you get the chance. I even booked my company's holiday party in December. Can't wait to come back .
Jessica Acosta
Just absolutely great, family enjoyed it and had a great time. Food was great, didn't seem like a whole lot at first but when served I couldn't even finish everything. It's what you would expect to see at a renaissance festival, but indoors instead. Definitely going again one day lol. Also expect to spend some dough, just a forewarning, if you want to have a good time.
Bobby Gipson
You get what you see! A pretty great show, about 2 hrs of some jousting and some melee fighting. Decent story, but it’s the same each time you go, just a different knight will win. 4 course meal of tomato soup, bread, half a chicken, corn, potato, and a small eclaire for dessert. Everybody of all ages can enjoy this.
Clifford Gries
Food was just ok. The atmosphere was amazing and a great time all around
Brittany Britts
Our server was the best ever!!! We were in the vip blue section 4 and he was just absolutely amazing better than all the other servers, by far. The food was hot and superb, and performance was exciting. All the staff was pleasant except one knight. He was rude when we tried to take a picture with him but all of the other knights were super awesome. My son thought the world of the red knight because he bent down and was just super sweet. The yellow knight was fantastic too. We literally got several pictures with them which made our night. The green, blue, and yellow/red were very accommodating and honestly these knights and all of the other staff made us want to come back. Worth going to, seruouslt you will LOVE IT! Just avoid the black and white knight with the long hair, he's grumpy, rude and arrogant.
Brian Hatfield
Show was fun, food decent. The constant up selling of trinkets made it difficult to enjoy the actual show. On similar note, 4 people came by to sell stuff but couldn’t get a water refill. Focus on the experience rather than upselling please.
Charles Roberts
Very entertaining and not cheesy . Dinner was surprisingly very delicious and we all left very full. The horses are beautiful and the highlight.
Brian Payne
What fun, enchanting place to visit! Getting a glimpse into the past while eating a meal that could've been the menu of Medieval times! Sparks fly when they clashed! Mace to tenderize your chicken! Battle axes Shields!!Shattered jousting lances. Target Lance throwing from a galloping horse. Catching rings on the point of the Lance! It does give a sense of the time! It is audience participation! DON'T forget to cheer for your Knight!
Dorothy Nelson
Really great experience even though our yellow knight didn’t win. The show tonight was great and surprisingly the food was good too. Our wench/waitress was the best though. Thank you Miranda for making the experience great! You rocked it! The guy wandering around with the iPad selling drinks was also hilarious. Highly recommend the light up drink cup.
Michael Szymanski
I've been going to Medieval Times since I was a kid in the '80s. Finally it came time to take my own kids there and finally, for the first time in my life; we happened to be seated in the section that ended up winning!
Even when you know how the story goes, it was a great experience. The kids had a great time and we would totally do it again.
Giselle Schneider
Absolutely entertaining! Way better than the Excalibur (Las Vegas) show! And when I say way better, I mean everything is way better. Food, dessert, show, acting, seating, service, atmosphere, souvenirs, pictures. They didn't have the loud cannon or any fireworks, which I appreciated due to being autistic.

Went last night on 11/4/22. Red section, table 7 (at the back). The show was great. We loved the fight sequences at the end. My mom and I went for her bday dinner. I liked the social distancing in the arena because I don’t like to sit next to strangers. Food was pretty good. But I have to take some stars off for a few reasons. First the drinks are pretty over priced. With a tip, two alcoholic drinks came to $43. Just stick to the drinks you get with your show package. Secondly, during the show we felt very rushed to eat/drink/enjoy the meal. Server constantly kept coming to try to take our bowl for soup and later our plate. If you ask a couple less times maybe people wouldn’t feel rushed. I read online you get a drink and a refill during the show. When my mom wanted her refill, the server said “I already made my last round” and when my mom said she didn’t know that, the server looked annoyed and said “I guess I can get you a refill but it will be a little bit.” Before the show ends they start bombarding you about a tip. The server came around and handed out a card and asking verbally for a tip. Show was not over yet so we weren’t in a rush to dig for money in the dark. She came by not long after and said “are you planning on giving me a tip?” Which I think that’s rude to begin with to press people for tips. My mom chose to leave a tip when the show was over, and they didn’t turn the lights up. We were still in the dark. My mom accidentally put a tip out that she didn’t mean to because she can’t see well. As we were getting up to leave, the server rushed over to us to retrieve her tip (which is also rude because it makes people uncomfortable and you need to wait until your customers leave). She saw the tip my mom put down and instantly started shaming her. She rudely asked “is this really all you left me for the two of you?” My mom felt so terrible she left the wrong amount and was apologetic and said sorry that’s not what I meant to leave and did give her a higher tip amount. But the server was still rude after that. She made some comment to my mother that I wasn’t able to catch all of, but the rude tone I definitely heard. You don’t shame your customers like that. She’s lucky after that my mom even gave her a larger tip. And she’s lucky I didn’t jump over the table at her for talking to my mom that way. You just don’t treat people that way. We are unsure if we even want to go back just because of that server at the end. That experience completely ruined the night for us. I have friends and family that talked about going but I am going to warn them with my experience.

Really expensive. Price for tickets to entry (VIP) were $300. Mixed drinks and slushies were like $25 each and $14 each. No beverage choice other than coke, water or lemonade. Mixed drinks (we got two) were disgusting. Food was not great - somehow the corn was so over cooked it was like gum texture. Too much dialogue during the show - which was difficult to follow when there’s so much echoing but made worse by the fact that you’re also ordering, eating, and have vendors going by. Bathrooms were pretty gross. Then when the time for tip came - “20% is $10 per person”… what?? The tickets for admission were like $30, which included the show… So that was annoying. Our server was great though.
The kids liked it and I’m glad we tried it but we definitely won’t go back.
Milo Milosevich
This is a perfect place for a fun birthday or celebration. The food was surprisingly delicious and plentiful. The horses were gorgeous and well trained. Be prepared for some sticker shock at the bar. At least they let you keep the glass.
Ellis Family
Shady “processing fee”. AFTER you’ve decided to purchase tickets, AFTER you’ve gotten the kids excited to go, AFTER you’ve decided to spend over $400 with these people, they SLAP you with a $35 “processing fee”. I would think that the over $400 I’m paying you should cover that. This better be a good show when I get there… and MAYBE I’ll change this to a 2 or 3 star rating. But you lose at least 2 stars for that cheap move!
Samantha Webster
The chicken was unexpectedly fantastic; better than some restaurants specializing in chicken! Basic Texas Toast Garlic Bread, corn on the cob, and tomato soup were also served. All were ok. The single potato wedge was still raw. Not just one, our entire group couldn't eat theirs. Everyone said it had good flavor though. Maybe they aren't normally undercooked. All ages in our group (adults, teens, and kids) enjoyed the show. We wouldn't go again only because it's a one time experience but I recommend for everyone to go at least once
Valerie Massey
Such a great time! The show was good and the food was delicious. Only let down was the dessert. A tiny cup of ice cream with caramel sauce just didn't fit the experience. Not a deal breaker though ! Otherwise absolutely loved it.
Joe & Rebecca Provenzano
It was a great experience. the service was excellent. People were very kind and helpful.
Michelle Hayes
First off. Any drinks and souvenirs are WAY overpriced. However you do receive two complimentary drinks included with dinner. Coffee, soda, water. Food was surprisingly excellent, service was good. The beauty of the horses and the horsemanship of actors is a sight to see. Show is a bit hokey, but it is a lot fun. Our knight drew us in and we had fun time. We went for an office party and were all adults, however we all had a great time. All the kids in attendance were completely swept away in the royal knights and their display of courage.
Drew Some
Low value for prices. Show is entertaining but overpriced. Food is frozen and reheated. We made the mistake of paying $20 for an upgrade that included a photo and cake. Photo was standard. Cake was uneatable. Frozen, stale, disgusting. Don’t buy upgrade. Not worth it.
gingerdeadman 31
This is an awesome experience here in AZ. Way better than CA. Too bad our night lost RIP red and yellow. The staff was awesome and the price wasn't overly egregious.
Trevor Ruiz
If you've ever been to Disney on ice, or a theme park, this is similar. It was really fun for the kids and my son's birthday. Our kids ranged from 6 to 16. Everybody enjoyed it for what it was. It's definitely a one and done experience. I do recommend it for birthday parties and other events. Group settings make it really fun!
Joel Ketchum
I really enjoyed the show. This was my second time at a Medieval times, the first at this one. I have also been to the Excalibur in Vegas as they have one like it as well. The food is good, just kinda weird eating it with your hands. The only part I really did not like was the wait just prior to the show. Once you enter the bldg and check in, you are waiting an area with the bar and all of the other patrons waiting for the show. Since everyone is drinking and talking, everyone was not wearing masks. It was about 50/50 in terms of mask wearing. If I had not previously had Covid, I would have went outside or left, but didnt feel real anxious about getting. It had only been a month since I last had it. Good time with the family though.
Amanda Comage-Trower
Show was absolutely wonderful and food was good. We got VIP which I think should include a alcohol ticket or a special thanks from announcer something else besides the photos. But overall, our experience was wonderful. It was a surprise from our best friends for our birthday. I will say if you are concerned about social distancing. Do not come here. They take your temp, you wear a mask but the lobby and entering and exciting was extremely crowded. So that defeats any precautions they took. This made us a little uncomfortable but we wanted to enjoy the event and fingers crossed everyone was healthy. Fix those things and this would be a nice safe fun event.
Goofy Son
Had a fun time here with the show! Spent alot to sit in front row. Only down fall is no silverware or even plastic was provided with our meal. Yet we got a plastic spoon with ice cream not with soup. Also coffee is on the menu but only on request according to our white and black host. The host on red section(next to us) was good/awesome she seemed to offer all her section coffee and creamer. Red host was on point with bringing everyone there entire meals promptly and picking up. Our group thought we were only being served bread, soup and chicken. Thanks Medieval Times we all enjoyed the show!!
Dawn W
Amazing experience, great staff, the food was good, the beer was good. My only warning is that it can be a bit $$$ but it's the entire experience you're paying for so it's worth the price
Tracey Pugh
Fun night out but expect dry chicken. I have been three times now and it's been the same each time. They no longer serve coffee with dessert. Drink types are now limited to water, Pepsi, or lemonade unless you buy the expensive bar drinks.
Johna Davis
Wow what an amazing family event! Dinner and the show were spectacular! The food was delicious and the show was much better than we anticipated. It was like a competition amongst every section so it was fun to cheer on our knight and ally's! This is a great event for a date night, family fun, or even a girls night for food and drinks. Such a great dinner show, we cant wait to return! Thanks Medieval Times!
Hubby D
My 14 & 15 yr old visiting grandkids had a WONDERFUL time. Alexa J was our very kind and hard-working ‘server wench’. 5 stars - start to finish. Cool toys & stuff for kids and for memories. 2hrs - well worth the price. Enjoy & cheer on your knight!!!
Angel Kinzig
Lots of fun with this show! Good food too. Waitress, Megan, asked about allergies & made sure everything was right. She didn't forget our allergies when it came time for dessert either. Social distancing was respected the whole time (except in the lobby). Drinks were served before we went into the show & folks took off masks in the crowd to enjoy their drinks. Makes sense but made me want to get to my seat quickly.
john springer
First time attending Medieval Times and it was blast! My kids and wife really enjoyed the experience. Our server Josh was probably the best server if ever had . He was very engaged in his character and made it really fun ! We’ll be back again soon .
HL Jonathan Pickett
This place is truly a step back into time... I am a big fan of the medieval days and to visit Medieval Times is a true glimpse back into another time and place...very friendly staff ...the environment was awesome and to top it off I was knighted by the Queen...and the Black/white knight took victory ... I didn't know that I could dress up but I will be ready my next visit...To the Queen and the village of Medieval Town...I Lord Jonathan long to see you soon.
Aime Phillips
Great tournament! Entertaining for all ages. My family and bday child had an amazing time! Thanks for the memories :) Highly recommend the Queens royalty package! Get knighted and photos included!
Jeffrey Law
Had never been before and this was a blast! You need to be willing to participate, which I am not normally prone to doing, but did this time. The show was awesome and they kept the audience engaged. The food was ok, but the service was exceptional. Would recommend to at least go once, but it is a little pricey. But what isn't these days, and this was a solid hour and half of entertainment. I will go again sometime.
Ian Ha`o
Super fun! Horse show. Banter. Sword play. Jousting. Jeering. Cheering. Food. Great fun for the entire family! Even has accommodation for wheelchair inside. I've been to two different locations now and loved both immensely! I paid $54 per adult. Food is flavorful and hands-on.
Chris Santo
It’s a great place to go for dinner and a medieval show. The show was about two hours. Seats are reserved now and the torture museum as of this visit was closed, so IMHO it doesn’t make sense to arrive an hour prior like they recommend. Unless you want to spend a lot of money in the bar and gift shops, I’d suggest arriving about 20 minutes prior to your show time.
Celida Balbastro
It was really fun. Great view. The feast is really yummy but barely hot. I hink it'd be top tier if the food were hotter. I just wish the things they sold were less... Cheaply made for lack of a better term. A wooden axe is way cooler than a plastic one, there's 3 (i think) separate places to purchase merchandise and they all see the same thing which is kinda wack. Also aside from those merchants and the bar there's nothing to do or see before the show. So there's no need to arrive an hour early like the website suggests
Candice Madieros
This was a fun outing. The horses are absolutely beautiful and the show was well done ! The food was good, bring your appetite..it is a lot. If you have never been, it is a must. I wish I would have brought my kids when they were younger !
Mark White
My wife & I came to the Saturday show at 2pm on 2/18/23, and it was a totally wonderful experience. The food was great, the show fantastic, and everyone we encountered that worked there was so friendly and in character. The only negative thing I have to blame on myself. Before the doors opened for the show, I had my picture taken with the queen and her two "consorts". I had my Air Force hat on, and being a gentleman, I failed to take my hat off to the queen, and should have known better, and I didn't realize it until after the fact. Nothing was said about it, but I wanted to give my most humble apologies to the young lady who was in character as the queen, as a gentleman always takes their hat off to a lady. Again, it was a truly wonderful experience!!
Aurea Hope
This place is fun. Sadly, feral Arizonans don't know how to socially distance and it wasn't enforced.
The food is mediocre, at best; it's like a carb overload; chicken, garlic bread, tomato bisque, corn, potato.....BTW, my chicken was under done. The portions are HUGE! 1 serving will legit feed 2 people easily. Our server was nice , although he kept touching his mask to pull it over his nose instead of adjusting it. Touching his nose then food is gross. I was told gratuity was included in the ticket price but at the end of the show/ dinner, the crowd was asked to "generously" tip the wait staff. #Tacky. It is very well coordinated: from serving to crowd control. With the exception of enforcing social distancing.
Bartenders avoided the "How much is this cup?" question and just assumed I wanted one. #Rude
We spent around $800: ticket + 20 each upgrade =$500. Drinks‐ of course with the fancy cup- $140 plus a few trinkets: flags, pins....quite spendy for mediocre food, but....the show is epic! These horses and their trainers do an amazing job! I'd go again just for the entertainment and decor.
TIP: eat before you go. The food isn't that great.
Susan Dominey
I’m very disappointed. It was not organize! We was waiting in one door for more than 30 minutes and we was first one in line. Then they open the door and told us to go to the other door. Now we have to fight with a hit crowd. No signs anywhere telling what door to come through. We complain to the staff and they did not care. They struggled thier shoulder and said whatever. That made us mad. The we was trying to find a table. There is no numbers on table and guy told us the wrong table. I enjoyed the show mostly , but by then I was mad and ready to leave but I paid lots of money for this.
cassandra cain-farren
Great place to experience a medieval feast. Took the family for a celebration and had a super great time.
valerie allman
Amazing family adventure ❤️. Thank you Blue Knight 💙 you made her day! We will be back.
Sarah Krall
SO MUCH FUN!!!! What an amazing experience! My 16 year old and I had a blast and can't wait to go back. Everything was done very well with employees staying in character and social distancing in these new times. I highly recommend going here the food was delicious and the experience one of a kind! The training and work that goes into the show and the beautiful horses is evident! HUZZAH!!
Shawn Elder
Newest location of this franchise, I was impressed with the design changes that improves the flow and customer experience.
The show is always a hit, even if it's the same everywhere, and my knight never wins.
I love that they are well equipped to handle large groups!
Tiffany House
Wow, what an amazing experience!!!! The horses and the horsemanship were incredible! The jousting and fighting were a crowd favorite, but I think it is only because it takes a horse person to get the ballet and horsemanship it requires to perform at that level!!! I would choose Midevil Times of Cavalia any day!
And the food was great! For a night out you will never forget, it was incredibly cheap!
Kathy K
SO much freaking fun! The horses were gorgeous and the knights all super cute and skilled and it was funny. I hope the chancellor gets his oranges XD Food was good, jousting and combat was absolutely thrilling. Yellow knight for life! Until I visit again and get another knight!
Trevor Jessick
The food was actually very well seasoned and tasty. The show itself was very tasteful and entertaining, but the fighting and competition were not AS intense or well rehearsed as the one in Vegas, although I will say the food and venue made up for it. This is a beautiful facility and the decorations were very festive for the holidays. I would highly recommend!
panndaacookies213
The food is definitely not better than elementary cafeteria food. Service is great , atmosphere is awesome. Stay aware of over spending at drinks or the shops. Great show though 👏
Maria Lourdes Velasquez Defoor
Always a great experience for the whole family from locals to out of towners. Adults enjoy the fun as much as children. The food is like no other, juicy buttery corn on the cob and that soup you will find nowhere. I really appreciate the great service and accomodations.
REZ_woman
loved it 🥰
had a wonderful time... celebrated my Grandbaby's birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 …
Alex B
First, if you are a parent, skip Disneyland, the long lines, the overpriced food and the rides are all here. Take your kids to this event, and have them sit in the front row, they will have a great time.
To the reviewer whining about how flavorless or whatever it was, how about you try to put on a show with ACTUAL HORSES AND A FALCON and serve food that fills you up and fits with the theme. Seriously, you are such a whiny baby, the food is good, and I could get banned from google for what I would say to you. SMD.
Shiloh served me and was EXCEPTIONAL. I am cheap to a fault sometimes, and I am very disinterested in upsales- but Shiloh was able to squeeze a couple hundred out of me and I was happy to part ways with it. She is extremely good at her job, and very knowledgeable and sociable.
Tyler T
We had a great time coming here! The food is really good, which I wasn't expecting. We've been twice, once last year and once this year. I will say the choreography in 2019 was not as good as 2020. When we went in 2019 the knights would hold up their stuff in a clear "hit me here" indicator. This time it was much more fluid, and really well done. Our daughter got to come this time, and she loved it. We were in a unique spot, in that she got the favor from the knights lance, and was just so excited.
All in all it is a bit pricey, but 100% worth coming once a year or so. My only real complaint is that the story doesn't change, only the winning knight changes. If you've never been, give it a try.
Natasha L.
The food is delicious and the entertainment was amazing! Even my skeptical kiddos had a blast! The whole evening was expensive, and it might not be in the budget for a lot, but if are able to go it's a fun experience.
David De La Torre
It was nice to do something different and fun with the family. Here's my take: Pros - beautiful horses, falcon flying over us, positive sportsmanship/competitiveness; Cons - way too loud, show comes across as being too scripted, way too expensive. Worth going once to check out - yes. Worth going twice - no.
Grateful Jim
Great family friendly experience. The show met all expectations with great pageantry, showmanship and excitement. Friendly service and a fun time. Why 4 and not 5 stars? The food met promoted fixed menu expectations but perhaps it was "midieval times " authenticity that limited the pallette pleasers. As long as food is secondary don't deny yourself the experience.
Donna Coca
Everyone enjoyed the show and dinner. The kids - ages 3-14 really had a good time. The horses are beautiful and amazing!
Michelle S.
We had a wonderful time! The castle was quite a sight. The actors all stayed in character. There are some cool things to look at while waiting for the show. (However, more entertaining items would be great!) The food was tasty and drinks were great. Even the coffee was good. Our wench was a sweetheart and really made good quick conversation on down times. The show was a hoot, my boys thoroughly enjoyed it. And I loved that the knights tossed flowers into the audience. They were great with the crowd.
**I would highly recommend sitting in the black and white or red and gold sections, because you have the best view of the show from the center of the arena!
It was my first time, and I swear we had amazing seats for general admission. We'll definitely be returning.
Katrina Coad
The best time I've had in a long time. The show was superb, the food was fabulous and the wait staff was phenomenal. Would recommend anyone to go to the show/feast.
Chris Wilson
The dinner was tasty and it was kinda fun eating with our hands. The show was amazing. The jousting, sword fights, falcon flight, the costumes, Where do I stop. It is not cheap but it was worth it. My family and I will talk about this for a long time.
holly curry
Always a great time. Our server was so great and fast.
GINA Chava
A must for the whole family! The best 50 or 30 dollars per person you will spend. That includes Dinner and a show. We got extremely stuffed with the dinner and the show was spectacular! So much fun! Full bar available. Drinks are pricey but I honestly didn't mind! 100 percent recommended!
Luis Covas
Great experience for the kiddos (5 and 9) we really enjoyed the show and the food was surprisingly better than expected. Adult drinks are a bit on the pricey side, but was expected. Great service!
David Hernandez
Totally worth the money, the entertainment was good and so was the food. Only down side was you dont get all your food at one time they they bring it separately, and I wish you could select your seats online instead of having to get there 75 minutes early to make sure you have good seats. But like I said the entertainment is well worth it the actors did a great job performing. Will definitely go again.
Janay Marie
Great experience for all ages... The show and the food was awesome. Can't wait to go again. I love how dessert was included after the meal... I forgot about that, i was enjoying so much at once with my babies. So glad my two year old was free, she watched YouTube on my phone until food and ice cream came. I say 4yrs and older will enjoy this. My 4yr old keeps saying the tricks the horses did were cool. My two year old won't remember anything.
Holly Lewis
Was visiting family for Christmas and this was something I had not experienced. Enjoyed the food and the show.
Lam Rom
It was AMAZING! This is a true dinner and a show. I was expecting a very corny show, it was fun and done very well. There are a lot upgrades that we didn't do, we got the basic package and had center seats. The horses were beautiful and did amazing tricks. The hawk was a great watch. The lancing and sword fights were fun to watch. The food was the most shocking part, it was good! For being mass produced it had good flavor, cooked well, and tasted great. You know it's a hit when it's over the kids want ro come back and do it again.
RRV
My first visit here! Delicious food you eat with your hands, cheering for your knight as they joust like the modern day arena football, and a wench bringing a wide variety of alcohol? Dilly Dilly of a good time!
Otherwise, the service was great and the workers were very pleasant and entertaining. My daughter enjoyed the horses and it was lovely the knight gave flowers. Definitely great for the family!
Chris Rac
This was our first time to any MT location. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Kids loved it and they were kept interested through the whole show. Food was delicious and surprisingly, I left full. The potato was among my favorite because it tasted like it was covered in Lawry’s. Drinks were good and service was on point thanks to WenchErin. BUT... it is ridiculously overpriced. Even after getting a military discount, for tickets/drinks/light up swords for my two kids we dropped about 260/270. Because of the pricing, I don’t think we’ll go back but it was fun to do once.
Giselle Rodriguez
AMAZING! Took my teenage sons for New Years and had a great time! The food was fine, nothing to brag about. They served soup, Texas toast, chicken, a roasted half of a potato, corn, cake and ice cream plus coffee. It reminded me of a dinner that you could get at a supermarket deli (which I worked in as a teenager lol #Publix) However, the show was EVERYTHING! It was engaging, the host kept things moving, the horses were superbly beautiful, the choreography was great. We cheered so much for the Yellow Knight in our section my son almost lost his voice 😂 Definitely, a great family experience.
Chris Richards
Went on a corporate team outing for an employee who's relocating. it was a lot of fun very interactive The audience is included in the majority of the show. All but one staff member we interacted with stayed in character and helped with the immersion.
I recognize the focus is not necessarily on adults but the way they handled the liquor sales was a bit of a letdown. during the show they close the bar to one bartender and move everyone else inside but even then it was still over an hour before a bartender hit our section. so you're left to choose between missing 20 or 30 minutes of the show standing in line or being thirsty for an hour.
The food was pretty basic but tasty so not really a detractor but definitely didn't add. Still had an absolute amazing time and recommend that everybody give this a try!
Dempsey Darrow
Great entertainment! The staff is efficient and friendly and the food is very good (if you don't mind eating without utensils) 😋. It all makes for a very memorable experience!
Mira P. Crowley
Very cool experience. Decent enough food. The drinks are eh and server easily confused. But it was super fun.
Christina King
Was soo fun my family had an awesome time. Food was great (be prepared to eat w/ your hands). Show was fantastic.
Lizette M.
Went here for the first time ever, super super awesome!! Our wench Catherine was friendly and definitely added to the fun we all had! So much more fun in a group!!
Margarita Montijo
Best Birthday celebration for our son and great family fun!!! We all had a fabulous time. The food and service was wonderful. The show was spectacular! So happy to have Medieval Times here in Arizona!!
BB BB
Went to one of their original locations in Chicago decades ago and it was fun - Scottsdale location is way beyond expectations a better show, service, food, building and overall experience. A little pricy but a great show and decent food. Highly recommend.
Paul Lorenzo (RaiderPaul)
Great show good food & exciting tournament
Richard Phan
What an interesting place this was. I did not know that a this concept of dinner and medieval show existed in Arizona besides Las Vegas and wow was I surprised. Came here because of a team builder and left a very happy person. The overall experience was great and all of the staff members that worked there were always in character which was awesome. The show was well choreographed and timed. The meal part was good as we were served soup with bread as the appetizer and then half a chicken and vegetables in which we had to eat it all by hand! Like old times! It was quite an experience. Definitely come with big groups!
Angel Barreras
Me and my wife really enjoyed the show and the food. Didn’t think i would be full but I was wrong. Getting your drinks is a bit of a hassle and the charges for them but we still payed (which is why i give it 4 stars). Recommend trying!
Matthew Diaz
This place was absolutely amazing. I’ve been to the show in Las Vegas and this one was more entertaining. Fun for the family. Just be prepared to eat with your hands.
Ryan Garcia
Had a blast here! The performers put on a great show and the food was great! All of the staff stayed in character the whole time when surfing us which was a neat touch. I'll likely come back when I'm in town again!
Kikio
If the biggest hesitation you have are the price of the tickets, just go for it 😉 The ticket price was well worth it for the entertainment and the amount of food you receive. I'd honestly love to go back with friends (first time went with family) and try the vegetarian menu, because the main dish smelled amazing! ❤️ The food is delicious (regular or vegetarian), the show is amazing and fun, the amount of engagement been the show and the audience is super fun, and I genuinely had a great time! Wear clothes that can handle getting a little messy!!
Tina Junker
Such fun experience! Food was good. Service was good. Very family friendly. Well worth the upgrade to VIP to sit in the front row!
kevin uehara
For the adult crowd Get there early to enjoy drinks. Multiple mixed slushy drinks are ready to be poured into a souvenir cup that (I think) you have to buy from $15-30 just for the cup. Prices on drinks are not bad and delicious. The story line is entertaining and the actors are on point. All the staffer were friendly and in character. A few audience members dress up, I save my outfit for the Renaissance fair.
As for the food it’s a fun experience to eat with your hands and cheer on you knight. Go and enjoy!!
S L West
As for a dinner theater, this is still fairly priced... and you get to see handsome knights and horses, too! Great show, good fun! Could use some new jokes. 😉
Brent Card
We took the whole family and really loved the experience. The horses are amazing, the food is very good and cheering for your knight like it matters is so fun.
Alicia Wright
Excellent! We had a great time. Went with a group of co-workers and I brought my daughter. The whole show was great, all the actors were amazing. You can tell a lot of training has gone into this, and they play their hearts out. We sat in the Black and White section, and my daughter was chosen as Queen of The Tournament.
The food was pretty decent and the servers were very fun also immersed in their roles as peasant servers and wenches.
The Knights came out to the bar area after the show, so my daughter got a picture with the Knight we cheered for.
Special shout-out to the horse trainer or "Master of Horse". We met him as well after the show. He's done an amazing job with the horses, and you can tell they are well cared for by all the staff.
Highly recommend!
Sharon Rosser
This is a great place for families, or groups of people. Prepared to be loud and noisy, and cheer for your champion! Loved getting to take pictures with the knights after the show.
Patrick Russell
Absolutely amazing!!! Show was awesome, staff was great...the meal was fit for a king lol definitely making my way back here
Roland Beaucage
Configured to be more of a tourist trap than anything locals would want to go to but our kids like it so we go once or twice a year. The food is very plain and everything to drink is heavily over priced. But the show is fun, the horses are amazing and the staff is friendly.
Chele Sohl
So exciting! I had so much fun. The food was great, the horses were absolutely stunning, the joust and sword fighting were extremely entertaining. Fun for everyone and the gift shop had some great items on display. I will definitely be going again!
Katherine Porter
We had such a blast! We cheered on the black and white knight and he won. The food was delicious and our son loved it!
Mark LoGiurato
Fun family entertainment. The food is very filling and actually tastes better than I thought it would, The seats in the arena provide good views throughout. They upsell tickets and merchandise as well as souvenir cups for cocktails.
Robert Sankar
When the Renaissance Festival is too far away, and you need a year round solution to the mundane modern world, take a trip to Medieval Times and be treated to a spectacular feat of entertainment from a bygone age. Eat authentic cuisine just as the novbles did and enjoy, Danger, Daring, and Dressage!
Michelle Adamo
You are immersed in the time of kings, queens, knights, and battles in this unique dinner out. Our Wench served a pretty good meal in several courses, without silverware. We cheered on our red Knight enthusiastically, waving our red banner flags, as the "tournament" unfolded. The horses were well trained, gorgeous animals. The service, setting, atmosphere, and how it was organized all pretty impressive. The only caveat ... plan to spend money while you're there. From drinks to trinkets (themed glassware and beer mugs, lighted swords, amulet necklaces, etc) to buying your photos ... they tempt you with everything imaginable and the prices are steep. But it's a really fun night of entertainment, the actors do a great job, the food is good. Definitely a night to remember! Fun for couples, families, and groups.
nevaen
Went on family night, currently my sister works there, shes 1 of the servers. Our family had a blast! Especially my daughter she was 1 of the the little queens of the tournament. Loved every thing but the food has a little to much seasoning maybe had less and it would be a 5 star!
Alexander Vega
Went for my son's birthday and enjoyed every minute of the show. Price per person seems a bit much but once you see the show which includes the dinner, it is money well spent
Samantha Seeman
Sometimes the food is inconsistent but the staff is always amazing and the show is amazing!
Isaac M
This was a great dinner and show that kept us all focused for two hours. Excellent place for a fun event. Don't plan to go and hangout and talk. This is a fun show with theater style seat arrangements that will keep your attention.
Mizz Jae
This is a must see and do outing if you are visiting Phoenix AZ. So much fun to be had; what with the cheering and the magnificent sword battles that are acted out. It's truly a spectacular event that the whole family will enjoy. Dinner entailed tomato soup and toasted bread, half a chicken which was oven baked, roasted potato wedges, corn on a cob and non alcoholic drinks with the meal. Alcoholic drinks are on sale and billed separately. Expect to spend approximately 2.5 to 3hrs hours at the show. Pictures can also be taken with your favourite knight at the end of the show and all the actors are pretty easy going and will gladly pose for a selfie or family picture. Arrive early and give yourself time to explore the dungeon and all its secret weapons. The actors and attendants all remain in character and it truly is like stepping back in time. This show was magical and as such;I highly recommend it
Matthew Paul
Super fun place, the wait is a tad long but the end result is great. The food was very good and the show was amazing. Not at all what I was expecting when I went. I thought it would be cheesy or cliche but in fact it's not at all, they have great stunts and beautiful animals!
Leslie Shotwell
I had heard numerous stories about this place (and being a child of the '90s who saw 'Encino Man', remember it from that as well); when I heard that there was a location in Scottsdale, I jumped at the opportunity to go there with a friend who's birthday we were celebrating and was not disappointed whatsoever.
From the moment you arrive at the castle grounds, you are treated like royalty. Everyone there maintains their character, addressing you formally as was customary for visiting important guests of that era. If you get there early enough, you have an opportunity to explore the grounds, grab a drink or two and soak in the culture all around the hall. There's suits of armor, weapons (both real metal and foam replicas) that you can purchase, even a dungeon complete with torture devices and their history on display that you can explore! My friend also had the surprise pleasure of being 'knighted' by the Queen (complete with announcement and fanfare as such a ceremony demands), which added to the grandness of the whole experience. There are even professional pictures taken of you to commemorate the day so as not to forget the great time you'll have!
Once you enter the main part of the castle, an arena with seating on 3 sides divided up into sections representing each of the knights participating in the tournament that takes place, is where the real show begins. While the servers provide you with a 4-course meal (being completely respectful and accommodating of dietary restrictions), everyone is entertained with a wonderful show to include jousting, hand-to-hand combat with an assortment of weapons, and even falconry and horsemanship spread across the courses of the meal. The servers also do an effective job of both ensuring everyone's needs are met throughout the show and getting the audience hyped up to cheer for their respective champions prior to the tournament. The choreography of the show is such that by the end of it you'll be cheering for your champion wholeheartedly, regardless of if you're aware of it or not.
At the end of the event, whether your knight won or lost, you have the chance to take pictures and even get autographs from the knights, as well as picking up any merchandise in the hall you'd like prior to leaving. All in all, a wonderful, fantastic, mystical experience that you have to see first-hand to believe. I know that I will definitely be back as both time and money allow!
Jenn S
Fantastic fun for the entire family. I enjoyed this very much. Great fun for kids and (kids at heart)
You get to "boooooo" the villains and eat with your fingers! Great show & food was o.k. Don't go for the food, the experience is what you pay for. Very enjoyable and don't forget to tip your server.❤ Gratuity is not included.
Brian Smith
Wonderful show and terrific food! All the staff, from the knights to the royal court, the squires and servers were all great. Cheering for your knight is always a great time. Bring a crowd and be the loudest in the show!
Patricia Meitzler
So much pageantry, so much fun? One feels honored, pampered and just awesome to be at Medieval Times!
nicole marquez
My Scottsdale Medieval Times experience was off the chain. From the time we arrived to the time we left, there was NEVER a dull moment. EVERYONE did an incredible job.
Kirk Baiter
I went with co-workers as a company event. Overall it was a very fun evening. Although I wish I had arrived 1 hour later than I did (we arrived at 5:30). There was a lot of standing and waiting around prior to entering the arena. The horses were beautiful and very skilled. The Knights did a great job following the scrip. The food was fabulous. My only complaint would be that I only heard half of what was being said. The rest was just a garbled mess. So not being able to fully hear everything lessened the experience, at least for me. Otherwise it was really a fun night.
Lazuras120
Such a blast! Thought the tickets were a tad pricey initially, but for what you get not at all actually. Amazing show that had a lot more to it than expected, a TON of really good food, and even the pre-show area was a really fun. Will def be back again sometime.
Eileen L. Smith
We attended as VIP guests. Wow what an experience. Everyone gets a paper crown according to what table section you are assigned to. Tickets may also be purchased to the attractions available before the dinner show such as: a dungeon and a knighting ceremony you. Pre-show knightings are accompanied by live musical trumpet accompaniment after show knighting lacks the extra flare. And then there is the shopping. There are 2 souvenir shops to find unique fantasy items. I loved the dragons and the mini crown hair accessories. There are baby onsies that are to die for they are so cute.
All guests are gathered in the common room to wait to be seated. Drinks both Alcoholic and non-alcoholic may be purchased at the drink bar and served with paper straws. My children loved the large selection of ices available. Then every one is seated in mass by sections as hat colors are called out. The arena tables are bathed in colored lights and stays that way for the whole show. It made eating the food very interesting.
I found the dinner amazing. Soup, Half a roast chicken, Potato half and Corn on the cob. If you can't finish it, a food bag may be requested. The only down side was the desert. It was very cheep soft serve with ice crystals in it. I wish it had been smooth and creamy or a slice of cheese cake, or mini tarts topped with cream. Dinner was filling but desert left me wanting.
Desert has huge room for improvement but we were not there for the food exactly. It was the Joust, Horses and Knights that we wanted to see. The horse show at the beginning was enchanting. So worth going again to see. The Knights so handsome and cool. The Queen leads the show. She entered the table area with her knight for a special ceremony for a very special A giant net descends from above during the joust for the audience's safety. Chips really fly as lances collide and sparks from striking swords fly. It had my little boy jumping out of his seat and cheering like crazy.
I think it is worth the price to see this place for yourself.
Rauntu Munday
WOW! The entertainment, the food, the costumes! Just wow! I went here on a work excursion, and again just wow. It was a blast, from the fights to the food, even the drinks! The drinks are a bit pricy, but you get to keep the glasses or the beer horn (yes a freaking beer horn!) and they seemed to go a bit extra on the good stuff in the drinks so it's fair.
There is NO SILVERWARE so either bring your own, or enjoy the whole experience and just go hands in. The food was delicious, and comes in 3 parts. A light soup, chicken with some potatoes and corn, and then some ice cream.
The respect and attitude of the staff was awesome it really felt like you were in a medieval castle. They have a gift shop in the lobby as well where you can buy a whole suit of armor if you fancy.
5 star experience here. Try it once, bring the family and you won't regret it.
cwparadis
A must see attraction for anyone that has not been. Great for kids as well. Very nice 4 course meal that's delicious.
Amanda Suarez
We had a blast despite a few hiccups. The food was good but I think our server was having a bad night because she seemed to be very behind everyone else. The bar also lost our ticket and we had to wait quite a while for our drink...like over 30 minutes. Overall though, we had a great time, our kids loved it and we will be back again. I'm giving them a pass since they haven't been open that long and they're surely still working out some of the kinks. It's not cheap but any means but it sure is a good time!
Marlene Taylor
Very entertaining and exciting! Food was amazing and the staff was attentive and fun. Distancing was maintained seating and entering was very organized! We loved the experience! I plan on returning.
Meagan Radke
Great fun for kids and adults! We all had a blast!

Visited the castle at the end of February. Eight of us went to celebrate my sons 13th Birthday. The show was fantastic and the food was surprisingly excellent! Service is top notch and happy. Thank you Medieval Times Scottsdale for a memorable birthday celebration.
Shrek
1st time at Medieval times. Had fun, it was entertaining watching the horses do their prancing. Entire family enjoyed the entire show, the crowd..not so much the food...chicken, corn on the cob, and half of a potato...otherwise the entire show was good and entertaining..thank you!!!
BTW, I love how we ate like savages...😆,...no utensils....😆 🤣 😂....place is worth taking entire family...little kids will enjoy it!!!
Julie Whyman
We went the day before it officially opened for industry guests friends and family. We had a great time, I dont think there is a bad seat in the house. Our servers and bartenders were so fun and in character. The show was great the food was good not great but good. That doeant matter much to me because it was about having fun with the family!
Anna Andrus
My family had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, better than expected and our waitress Alexis did a great job. The horses were beautiful and the entertainment was fun! We all enjoyed ourselves and are excited for next time.
Mark Anthony
Awesome place, easy to get to. Everyone was in character and it was great! The arena is big and kids go into it for sword lessons and to be knighted. The food was great and no utensils are used! The show was very entertaining. Worth the visit and definitely will go again. Vegetarian options available.
Rebecca Rhean
It was an amazing experience! Everything was so spectacular! The food, the decorations, and especially the show! Everyone was incredibly curtious and nice. A perfect birthday!
Definitely you should come if you can!
Andrea Hudson
Truly amazing!!! I would definitely recommend it for all ages and any family engagements. The food was actually really good despite the fact that it is all about the experience. Definitely recommend getting VIP tickets for the best seats!!!
Sabrina Jesram
Such a great experience. My 7 year old daughter loved it. We really enjoyed our time there.
Lehi Marquez
The place was super fun and cool. Food was really good. Could of came with an xtra piece of toast and have the soup be a little hotter. The chicken was so good too! The show was very entertaining for a first timer.
Brandon Marcotte
Sooooo much fun. Great service and atmosphere. Excellent show full of fun, and thr food is actually really good
Lawson Murphy
Absolutely amazing experience!! The food was great, and the show was awesome!
They have a GF option and are really careful.
Definitely worth it.
David Hillier
Went to Medevil Times for our daughter's 21st birthday. We had an awesome time. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was good. The show and the horses were amazing. Will definitely be back.
Cynthia
Brought my mother for her bday, general admission also includes food!!! Lots of food!!! It was a fun show . Great for a family event, don’t forget to buy your flags!!! (:...be ready for a 2 hour show
Glenn Sampson
Food was pretty good, the beer is local AZ craft brew, and the show was amazing. Getting the upgraded tickets is definitely worth it. We had the celebration package and had an announcement during the show, plus great seats in the center of the arena.
Ruth Durot
It was fun and something different. A bit redundant and I did get a little bored. If you love horses and this type of entertainment you will have fun too.
Jess F
Went here for my birthday and it was honestly the most fun I've had in a while. The show was wonderful and the food was great. The soup could've been a little creamier, but that's about it. The cocktails were awesome. And everyone referring to you as my lord or my lady really kept me in the moment. Highly recommend.
Penne Curey
Birthday celebration for Bill's 75th. 10 guests ranging in age from 15 up and we ALL had a GREAT time.
Ryan Hutchins
Great experience! We had fun, the staff was excellent and the show was exciting. Our kids loved it.
Kenneth Morris
This place was awesome. From begining to end the customer service was great and let's just say the acting was good and humorous...chorography could use a lil work.
The food was well let's say don't expect anything fancy...much less it was kinda bad that the garlic bread was the best thing. Lol.
Never had sweet tomato soup before...lol
Rachael Herrin
A lot of fun for the whole family! Food was pretty good, but the entertainment was fantastic. Well worth the money!
L
It was the coolest Birthday Celebration yet! Upgrade your experience for sure, we did the Royal Experience and it was awesome.
Cherrie
Wonderful evening! Food delicious (eat w/hands), but the stars were the horses, Andalusian & a Friesen! (& a couple good-looking knights!). Jousting, sword fights, falcon flight, synchronised horse drill, etc! They should include a pre-paid tip in ticket price as well as the dungeon tour (expensive evening, but it was worth it for a once in a lifetime eve to celebrate my birthday!)
Chuck Tomasi
A very fun experience for all ages.
adam yoder
A fun family friendly event . Beautiful horses and falcon.
Premier Market Group
Every employee plays the part form the time you walk in the door till the time you walk out. It really puts you in a time warp back in to the era of Kings, Queens, castles, jousting etc. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and go out of their way to help you out. Once the show starts it's a mind blowing display of horses, sword fighting, skills challenges and so much more that keeps you well entertained and clapping your hands. Along with that they serve you a "midieval style" meal that you eat with your hands and the food is delicious.
Angela Beckley
My son and I had so much fun, we ate good laughed. Got to cheer for the Red team! Definitely coming back!
Richard Newton
Went over the weekend, and it exceeded my expectations. Super Fun!!!! I think this is something everyone should do at least once.
I bought the tickets via phone, and took a party of 10 co-workers and we got the VIP Queens Package.
For me, I think the added perks of the VIP was well worth it.
Line:Waiting Times – How early should you arrive – You can enter the castle 75 minutes prior to show start. We got there 60 minutes before show start. The VIP Line maybe took 15 minutes to go through, the regular line was much longer. I recommend getting there 75 minutes early if you go with a big party, or no less than 60 minutes. We had just enough time to get a drink at the bar, get a group photo, get some selfies and look at souveiners.
Seating: Here’s how the seating works. Once you go through the line, you are handed your seat card, which corresponds to the color section you are in, and VIP lanyard if you got the VIP pass. About 5 minutes before the start of the show, they call the section colors one at a time. First Come First serve, so you want to over by the big swinging doors/entrance to the theatre before they call the seats.
VIP’s get called in first so if you want the best seats, get the VIP pass, get in line early, and get your group up by the doors before the show starts.
We were in the yellow section which was on the far side of the theatre, all 10 of us in the first row. I had initially wanted to be in the middle section where most of the action is, but now that I have done the show, I prefer the yellow or the blue section. Reason being is because they pull down a safety net in the middle sections. The yellow and the blue sections don’t get a safety screen and its still close to the action.
Bar/Drinks The bar is huge, we didn’t have to wait for a bar server at all.
They have house special mixed slushy drinks which are really good. You can also make your own which is what I did – Blue slushy mix with a double of Jamison Whiskey. Full bar, so whatever you fancy they will make it. Prices reasonable, assuming you don’t buy a souvenier cup.
Craft Beers – I recommend the Scottsdale Blonde. You can buy your own cups, or just use a plastic cup. I like souviners so I got everyone in our group a really cool cup to take home. (tip – don’t forget to take your cup when you leave lol)
Food – Was better than I expected. You eat with your hands, and they serve bread and soup first, then chicken, then corn and potatoes. Then ice cream. They provide wet nap after the meal, but I brought my own as well. One wet nap is never enough for me lol. Food was very hot when it was served, which surprised me. Maybe that was just because the VIP section gets servered first, not sure.
Show – The show is a progressive format. They start slowly and ramp up the action. You will see a falcon in action, a horse master, king and queen banter, jousting, and sword fights. It’s all really cool.
Roses – The knights for each section will come around and throw out a few roses. If you want a rose, best chance is VIP. Our VIP group got 1 rose, and the 2 others that were tossed by our knight went to the general section.
At the end of the tourney, the king and queen come out into the winners section, (blue was the winner when we went). And they pick a child out of the audience and give them a crown. I’m sure that would make any kids day!
Why I like the VIP – You get seated first, you get served first, the drink waitress will come to you first, and will come around more than the other sections, and you get a group photo for everyone in your group, and a cheering flag. And the VIP section will most likely get a rose. Well worth the extra $25.
Overall, I highly recommend Midevil Times. It’s something different, and you only live once. Very cool experience!
Sarah K
Took a friend from out of state and he had the time of his life. Always a great place to go for good food and an amazing show!
Rachel Johnson
I took my daughter for her birthday celebration. It exceeded my expectations. It is a special memory that my daughter will remember for a long time. Highly recommend.
Jim Vahrenwald
As you would imagine, a bit on the theatrical side but still fun.
Gave 4 stars on the Atmosphere due to the poor sound quality in the venue.
Diana Martinez
Always a fun time. Haven't been to one since I was a teenager in CA 20 years ago. Took 3 adults and 3 kids (3, 11, 12) and we all loved it. They serve baked chicken, corn on the cob, and a big potato wedge. All pretty tasty. We got ice cream for dessert. They temperature inside was neutral, so those who wore pants or shorts were both comfortable. Also, our server was great. Gratuity is not included in the ticket prices, but you can still use a card or take some cash.
Chris Benham
Got in early had a great time looking at the gift shops, enjoying drinks before the show, you can get your picture taken, get knighted (really great for kids). If you up your dinner package they will make an announcement on your behalf. Which is really cool. They have a torture history museum, learn the history of some torture devices. Ironically enough we weren’t able to be seated in our VIP section, it got filled up but Kyla took care of us, we got seated at the top and we actually enjoyed it, we had some ac blowing on us to keep us cool. Anthony our server did a fantastic job taking care of us. Kyla made sure we were taking care of as well and why they are getting 5 stars instead 3. Paid a lot of money and I was worried we were gonna get screwed on that. Thank you Kyla!!! The food was great!!! It was fun and entertaining!! We’ll be back again!!

Beautiful horses. Half of a chicken for dinner.
Katie Strader
It was fun! The gift shop was the best part. Food and storyline could be improved but would still suggest going!
Tobias Murillo
We had a great time! Food was good and a large portion, service was very good. The knights, queen and all the show come out and take pictures after, all whom are very friendly. Definitely worth the trip.
Dale Kikta
It was pretty cool. Show is a bit slow. Dinner like most dinner shows. 1/2 a chicken, a half of a baked potato, corn and ice cream for dessert.
Kyle Gannon
This is definitely geared toward the younger crowd. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are exceptional with catering to food allergies. It is a marvelous experience and everyone should go here at least once!
Amy Schouten
First time visiting this establishment and thought it was a lot of fun! Pretty well organized as far as getting people in and out of the stadium. My two elementary aged boys absolutely loved it! I had a hard time understanding the announcers with the accents they were using but it did not deter my enjoyment of the performance. The horses were beautiful and all performed wonderfully. Kudos to the riders for their handling of the horses! They made it look very easy 😁. Would definitely visit again, worth the experience.
Megan M
This was such a great experience! Everyone was very friendly and it looks like the horses are very well taken care of. The food was also great.
Emily Smith
Must-have on bucket list. Disappointed because I paid for VIP package and was in second row non VIP area. I have done VIP experience before. It's designed in such a way view and experience is relatively same regardless of seating.. don't pay extra. Also this location knights didn't interact or photograph after show probably due to covid restrictions. But still a bummer and one more reason to not pay VIP experience. Professional photo are not quality. You can save the money there and have random Stanger take photo and you take theirs in exchange. They were respectful of my service dog. Food & drink service was great.

We were transported to another age. Definitely worth the price. As always make sure you bring some extra $$ to get something for the little ones and yourself 😉. Oh yeah! And make sure you are hungry, that feast is awesome and filling! …

Had a really fun time at Medieval Times! Definitely worth experiencing at least once in your life... Good and drinks were great, lots of souvenir opportunities if you've got the money for it. They even have a selection of swords and weapons to buy! Very cool place, highly recommended!

A unique experience! The show was well done and the food was good. The trained bird of prey was a favorite. The dueling at the end was great for crowd interaction. Roasted chicken, potato, garlic bread and corn on the cob. If you NEED utensils be sure to bring them (it’s part of the fun to eat with your hands; but with children in braces we needed to cut the corn off the cob). There were others in our large group that needed special foods and they were very accommodating. We were led to believe that we should be there an hour early to look around the tournament grounds. I took that to mean we’d see other things around the castle like artifacts, walk around the stables, etc. In reality it gives time for the bar and gift shop and to spend another $2 per person to go into the dungeon which is not a room decorated like a dungeon but display cases of torture devices.
Rich
I really enjoyed the experience. Every seat is a good seat.. but if your taking a date spend the extra cash and upgrade..I would recommend this place to anyone
Nicholas McLaughlin
Great experience- definitely reserve far in advance because it gets super busy here on weekends. Entertaining show. Food was good: soup and bread, rotisserie chicken, and ice cream.
Stephanie Fernandez
We went with a group of family for my 40th birthday today for the afternoon show. We paid extra for VIP front row and swords and flags for all the kids. Everything was amazing! The show was fantastic and food was delicious! I did have to peel the chicken off the bone for our younger kids since you don't eat with any utensils but it's all part of the experience. I was surprised at how good the food was. We had excellent service from our waiter and bar maiden! Highly recommended! I really liked how our knight catered to the younger kids, 3 of the girls got flowers and my daughter got the queen sash! Super cool!
Michelle Perez
Went for our anniversary. It was great! We had a great time, food was fantastic, the show was incredible, and our server was top notch! We did the $20 VIP upgrade, and would absolutely do it again. Completely worth it for the photos and priority seating. Can't wait to take family when they come visit.
PatriotX2
Fun show, food is good, but very basic. This is really all about the show and the ambience. Awesome horses and riders, good fun!
Kari Page
What an amazing time! 4 of us went for our first time and had a blast
Outstanding food! Great entertainment!
Tina Bryson
Great experience! It's very entertaining and fun, the food was better than expected and the servers are great! 10/10 would recommend.
Richard Martinez
The show was cute, but I thought the fight scenes could have been acted out better. The reactions were always a few seconds late after the hit from the sword or when jousting. The worst part of the evening was waiting in the lobby for an hour and a half with no air conditioning. It was brutal in there.
Audrey K.
What a fun experience!! The theatrics are awesome, the horses are GORGEOUS, the horsemanship is great, and the knights are 🔥🔥🔥 Would definitely recommend!! We walked out with horse voices from cheering for our brave knights! …
Sara Grace
It was so much fun. First time we had been. We lived it so much we are going to make another trip to a different castle.
Juleigh Burke
Great show. Food was delish and you will not be left hungry! Fun to watch and meet and greet after the show with the Knights. Had a great family night out! Cant wait to go back!
A Loring
It was a good show. Food was good. Service was excellent. Wish was more to do. Plenty of souvenirs and your photos are taken when you enter..similiar to the Renaissance Festival jousting tournament. We enjoyed ourselves

First time experiencing this and I have to say I HATED IT, it was too much fun 🙃 😅 🤣 SERIOUSLY! This is something every should get to do. Even with covid blah blah blah it was still an eventful night with great performances delicious food and nonstop entertainment!!! …

This is a great place to take the family or just to have a date with your significant other. Had a great night with amazing food.
Sonya
My sister and I had such a great time! All the staff were friendly and the actors were excellent. I went for my birthday and it was worth it!
Scott Ayers
It was incredible! The show was excellent and the food was super good! Cannot wait to go back.

My husband and I and my daughter and her family decided to enjoy our Mother's Day at Medieval Times. The food was very good and the entertainment was fantastic. My 3-yr old grandson was mesmerized by the pomp and circumstance of the horses and knights riding them. It was a fabulous show. The only comment I have about the show, however, is that it was difficult to understand what the actors were saying, especially the Queen. I eventually tuned her out and just watched the show.
I would have rated the experience five stars but rated only three because of a few financial issues. I mistakenly booked for a show that was later than we could make and needed to reschedule. I was disappointed and surprised to find that we were charged $5 per person to reschedule. To me, that was like being charged to change a dinner reservation. After booking, I noticed a $20 booking fee added to the charge that was somehow added along the way. I still don't know where that fee was added on. I think added fees should be clear and obvious, not hidden from the consumer. Lastly, my daughter and I opted for the Mother's Day wine package which, after reading several times, offered three bottles of wine and two wine glasses. I know it sounds odd to get three bottles and two glasses, but that is what the offer stated. I'm a writer and know how to read punctuated sentences. We both agreed that it was a good deal and opted to add it to our experience for $45. When we got to the show, it ended up being one bottle of wine with two glasses, an exorbitant amount for one bottle of Mondavi wine and two glasses. Had we known, we wouldn't have added the package to our purchase.
If it weren't for the monetary issues described above, the experience was super fun for all of us. The food was well prepared, the service was excellent, and we loved the show. We probably won't return, though, because of the added fees along the way.
Vicky Mendez
This was such a cool experience!!! They bring your food out slowly first a soup and bread and later chicken then corn and a potato. Please don't forget to bring cash because gratuity is not included in the check.
Jason Barnes
Our kids had a great time cheering for our knight and eating dinner with their hands. The show was great but it was difficult to follow the dialog and story towards the end. The food was ok. I only wished the chicken wasn't as dry.
Antonio Salce
Fantastic atmosphere, good eating, a very fun experience for the entire family. Bonus points if you dress up! This is a great place! I've been here twice and plan on coming back again.
It is not inexpensive, but the experience is very much worth it.
Cassie Moore
Such a fun place to go. We had a blast. The show was amazing. The food delicious. It was all such a great experience. We will totally come back. The show was about 2 hours. With COVID-19 they had us all spread out. It was great.
Chelse Anderson
This place is awesome!!!! The show is great, the food is perfection!!! And you get that medieval timely feeling!! Highly recommend if you want entertainment and a good bite to eat. A bit pricey but worth it. This franchise is only in a few cities so if you're near this place I'd say go for it!!!
Babu Giridar
This place is amazing and an experience. The staff there were super nice and they all spoke like in the middle ages.
Paul Harris (Mobquet)
Eating with your fingers is uncommon for me, but here they do it right and the food is delicious! Obviously you go for the show (excellent horsemanship and skilful combat) but the well prepared food was an added bonus!
Crystal Cymanow
It was our first time. Enjoyed food, spirits, and show. It was awesome. And we won, red
Stephanie Newman
Medieval Times was AMAZING! We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday here and we had a blast! We got the upgraded VIP bday/Queen/drink package. The staff was professional, friendly, and stayed in character throughout. Our Wench, Alexis, who served the yellow section was AWESOME! We would love to have her again. The food was great, the performance was as well, and they set up for social distancing based on the party size which was nice/safe.
Amber Carroll
We had such an amazing time when we came here! The food was delicious and filling, the show was unbelievably cool and fun, and the pricing isnt bad considering everything you get and the quality of the show. Cant wait to come back again!
Ayla Feak
So delightful and delicious! Fun and entertaining for all! Went for a work Xmas party, and I got knighted! Loved it all! Definitely will go again!
(Only suggestion, for the bar. Would be; more drink menus in line(maybe on a stand) to speed the order proces. I had no clue what was available, until i got up close. And /or a bigger tv for menus that rotates only on drink/ cup options and prices? We'll buy it! 🥰😉💚 its hard to read the description of drafts on tap for some, so far back in line. (Just a thought/ suggestion to expedite service.) Keep up the amazing work!
Joseph McIntyre
What a wonderful experience! My daughter and I absolutely loved it. Great hospitality, entertainment, and food.

So the main complaint I see on these reviews with 1 star is the “wench” service. But if you take into consideration they have to serve at least 60 people in one section it makes sense why it would be a little slow for refills. Our server was great and we were asked several times throughout the show if we needed anything. Another bar server lady was walking infront of our table and heard us say drinks and she stopped and took our order even though she wasn’t our server. Awesome! As for the show itself it’s about 2 hours long and plenty of action to keep my 7 and 2 year olds interested and entertained. Our knight was awesome and interacted with our section quite a bit which was great. Love the horse presentation and the hawk flying around the arena. So cool. Definitely would return! All around a great time and enjoyable experience.
doughboyaz73
We went for my birthday and having never been before I was rather pleased with the whole experience. The food was ok (roasted chicken & potato, garlic toast and tomato soup), the ensemble cast, crew and horses were awesome. The facility beautifully recreated the Medieval castle feel that rounded out the experience.
Chase Lincoln
Best experience I’ve ever had ! Not only authentic but a genuine staff that loves to do their part. I will be going back again and again with my fiancé! From the Queen to the square I was definitely impressed and the VIP royalties are perfect. On top of it all it’s all family friendly. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted great, the drinks and the bar are an experience you need to try.
Monique Loving Me
Best day ever! We loved the show and the food was good also
John Earley
Verily, the revelry and Merry making were in full effect when my kinsmen and myself partook of the sumptuous feast. A night of cheering for the victorious and a great gnashing of teeth for miserable wretches whose champion fails them. Fie upon yon fools who would foresake a night of raucous cheer. FIE I SAY!
So yeah... It's aight...
Angie Gura
Excellent! Recommend for people of all ages. Food was good and the show was great.
Victoria Arroyave
My third Midevil Times location... its just as awesome as the others! What a great dinner/ theater event. Great for kids and adults. Kids get to wave around a flag and eat garlic bread, while adults drink beer and eat delicious chicken (with your bare hands)!
Emily Hanks
Great service!! People were super friendly and fun, and the entertainment was awesome. The food wasn’t my favorite, but there certainly was no shortage of it! Only thing that went wrong during my time is that, even at 4 rows back, I had a pretty serious allergic reaction to the horses and had to go sit in the waiting area. Other than that, it was awesome!!
Sam P
This was absolutely incredible! The food was hot and absolutely delicious!! The show was entertaining and it felt like I was back in the day with my fellow people! I thoroughly enjoyed this and strongly recommend to anyone looking for fun, food, and fantastic surprises!! Go red knight!!! 🚩
Calixto Melero Jr
The show was fun, and we enjoyed it. However, the price of admission and EVERYTHING inside is extremely overpriced. I wouldn't go back just for that reason.
Beth Knapik Benfield
Had a blast jeering, cheering and feasting. Should go at least once and come hungry as it us a lot of fare.
Adam Martini
Amazing experience. Food was good service was great and the show was even better.
Carmen Navarro Designs
Such a fun night. This theater is definitely smaller than what we are used to in California. But the show it self was good, the food was okay. Our server had a mask on which we appreciated. For the most part felt safe and distanced while and enjoying a dinner out. Kids had fun.
M S
Had a good time on my birthday. The food was tasty and plentiful. The nights put on a great show of horsemanship and sword battle. And the falconry was very impressive.
Teresa VanAcker
We had a fabulous time - the entertainment and food were great! A little hard to hear the story line but other than that it was amazing. We will definitely go back 😊 …
Christopher Lucero
During the pandemic they are doing everything they can to keep you and your group safe. The food is excellent, the show is amazing, and everyone is always in character. Welcome to the 11th century. It's an experience worth seeing.
Cassandra Rice
Had a blast with friends, Great entertainment and the food is awesome. Will take the family back again
Christine Wood
This was such a great time we'll worth the money! Good dinner and a amazing and entertaining 2 hour show. Best entertainment money I've spent in years 👍👍 …
David Little
Overall a great experience and lots of fun for the whole family. There is nonstop fun and action throughout your entire meal. The food encompasses a starter, meal, dessert and coffee. The food was very good with the exception of the soup starter in my opinion which was a tomato bisque which was a little bland from a tomato flavor ironically. The chicken was very flavorful and fell off the bone.
The place is not cheap and expect to pay more for drinks and souvenirs if you have kids.
You are paying for a dinner and experience and we enjoyed every minute of it!

Bonus reading:
The place is busy, however, they handle the enter and exits from the show very systematically so you are never jammed in together. Also, they put space between families so you don't ever feel like you are over crowded at a dinning table which was great.
Lastly, you can tell that ALL the workers are passionate about their job and role they play to bring the entire experience together.
J. W.
The show was better than expected. Non stop entertainment. The service was great, staff was friendly. You don't necessary choose your food but I enjoyed everything they put on my plate, it was tasty and I had plenty to eat. Ask for a doggie bag if the kids don't finish their food. 😉 No utensils, eat with your hands, but it made the experience fun.
