Wonderful venue. Old time feel and great staff. Loved the no hassle parking on the street... Got engaged in the front row of the Andy Grammar concert, so this place will forever remain in my heart...
True Review
The Keswick is a nice venue. There is a lot of history there. The sound is good. However, the rows of seats are narrow, with little room for movement. Parking can be difficult. And, when you call they never answer. The recording you get is old and needs updating.
John Miller
Nice intimate theater. The lobby is small so it's best to buy drinks across the street. Also use the bathroom there when you're getting your drinks since there are only about 5 toilets in the men's room for the 1300 seats. The walls near the stage could use some repairs but otherwise it's in good shape. Seats are comfortable.
Gabriella Kaecher
Have been there several times, most recently this past Friday for the Renaissance Concert! Great Show as always. They venue really could use some updates. But overall good experience.
Tracy Fields
Such a cute, different theater! Saw a concert there tonight and it was refreshing to be able to sit and enjoy the music. No food at the venue which is unfortunate but they had little snacks and drinks which turned out to be enough! I don't think there's a bad seat in there!

Attended a concert in end of Aigust. Older venue. Smaller than most which is good if want to see an artist closer than the typical concert venue. Ticket prices & fees a tad high considering. However, they did give a 50%off discount to nonprofit was with. Ask the proce of drinks at the bar before they pour! $19 for a mixed drink!!! NYC pricing!!! Street parking metered on block. Also free residential parking couple blocks over and lot parking on the block, but gets filled quickly. VERY HOT in the theater ... was literally sweating. Left concert early because of it. Seats recline. Kept reclimg without meaning to which was a tad annoying. Area is not very busy esp after 10pm. If you're going to a late event, eat and whatever else prior. Super cute area amd seems safe. Few restaurants and pizza shops on the block and a couple blocks over. Primo Hoagie across the street and ice cream cafe right next door. OH!!! to download tickets you have to download an app. No option to print from home or save but when arrived showed them my emailed recept and they wrote my seats on a piece of paper for entry.
James Williams
Nice little spot to check out live music. Local Philly boy Tom Keifer put on an amazing show, and we had great seats at the Keswick. We'll definitely return there for future shows.
Timothy Whatley
Great place to see a show. Not a bad seat in the place. Great service, ushers and bartenders. Sound was impeccable.
MICHAEL SUTER
Great small venue. All seats are good. An old theater with lots of character. Parking is tough though. Arrive early to get good parking on street.
Clarice Spann
The concert was great, but the theater rules about recording are arcadic. You can take photos but not recordings. I know this is the theater rules and not the artist because I saw Ruben Studdard at Parks Casino and was able to freely record even posting on his website. Security was diligent stopping people, sometimes ruining a moment as they were weaving threw the crowd to get to the offender.
Jon Monahan
The Keswick Theater is a fantastic venue. It's very well organized, and easy to get in. There's a bar inside as well (albeit a bit pricey...). There really isn't a bad seat in the entire place. Staff were friendly and helpful. The acoustics are great. I'll definitely go back.
David Horn
There is no point in paying current ticket prices if the venue's acoustics are poor. The seats are a wee bit snug for a large frame, but I'm not sure there's a bad view in the house, and the sound is great!
John Gring
Great Venue to see a concert!!. Was there Oct. 25th to see Micheal Schenker Band. Parking can be a challenge. Lot behind theatre is small. Get there early and have a bite to eat at one of over 10 places within walking distance. Metered parking is available. The only downside is there is only one mens room and one ladies room on the second floor. Nice restrooms just small. Stood in a long line twice.
Shea C
Price is Right Live! was a lot of fun! We had purchased five tickets, but 3 were in one row and 2 in another. The folks at the Keswick Theatre had sweetly rearranged our seats so we could all sit together.
Joshua Selsor
The Keswick is amazing! The acoustics are perfect and there us not a bad seat in the theatre. One of the best places to see a live performance.
Sween Machine
Very nice place to see live entertainment .. bigger than a movie theater but smaller than an arena .. very intimate and close up making every seat a good seat to see the show .. bathrooms are upstairs and small but clean .. bar is in the lobby area and drinks are very good, I would recommend the long island iced tea .. would definitely return to see another great show, my first was this past Friday, 11/12/21 and we were rockin with Dokken!! From the front row, my ears are still ringing.
Diana Steele
It's an old movie theater and they kept most of its features, so the interior looks very impressive and has great acoustics. The seats are a bit too close together but surprisingly comfy. The main issue is that there are only two bathrooms in the building (one mens, one women's), each with only 5 stalls, which is not ideal for larger events, especially during intermission. Definitely a great venue overall, though.
Noel Abejo
Nice area of Glenside. The Keswick Theatre was in great shape, the view of the stage was perfect. Acoustics great. Perfect venue smaller events. The process to get tickets on online was easy. The employees were friendly and the whole experience went smoothly. Enjoyed the performers.
Shirley Sword
I really enjoyed seeing a concert here! The size of the venue suits my taste, the seats were very comfortable, and the acoustics were very good! I need to include time to explore the neighborhood next time. It looked very charming and inviting with lots of dining options and small shops.
Elizabeth Harvey
Excellent venue. From the swift processing -- including vaccination proof, ticketing and security -- to guided seating, entering the theatre was seamless.
Parking is on-street or in local lots. Got a spot within 2 blocks. Cute, cozy, safe-feeling town. Parking meters until 8 p.m., I think.
The theatre is beautiful. Two bars in the back. Clean restrooms upstairs (not sure about accessibility). Sound quality is excellent.
Prefer the intimacy of this size theatre rather than stadium seating.
nautical_bunny
The Stage, view, and acoustics are nice. My only complaint are the chairs. They're not super uncomfortable, but they're just really close together. I didn't have my own arm rests, so my shoulder and arm kept bumping the person next to me. Otherwise it is a nice small theater.
Dave Connor
Great place to see a show. Just saw Steve Hackett from Genesis there a few days ago and it was KILLER.
KaRon Scott
A pretty underrated venue in my opinion. Local travel isn't bad since the train is about a few blocks away, parking can be a little hard but it's in a residential area so you can always find some. The inside is awesome with a big stage, seats are a little tight.
Monte Mallin
There's no question it's a great place to see an act. It's not too big and there are no bad seats and the acoustics are good. Should be noted though that the seats need to be upgraded and more important, there's only one men's bathroom for the entire venue. Considering they bring acts that often draw an older crowd, you would think this would be something they would deal with. Putting in a new bathroom doesn't seem like the greatest lift to me and it would help address the someone antiquated nature of the venue.
Lynn Harrington
Beautiful theater! Great acoustics! Went to see Steve Vai play with my son. Easy in...easy out. Parking was a little tough but we were late to the show. Would still go again for a show!
Joseph Tell
This Friday I see the Beatles and Rolling Stones tribute band last Friday I saw the machine Pink Floyd tribute band October 8th I saw Yes band great place great venue great service
Zee Vazquez
Saw The Hooters here on a Saturday night. Acustics in here were pretty good! It was easy to park for free on the street nearby and walk to the theatre but they did have pay parking if you need to be closer. Cool bar across the street and ice cream parlor next door. Will go back here again!
Kevin Mikulka
Excellent place for a concert. Great sound. Limited parking. Chairs recline slightly and the isles are a little narrow. Its unfortunate for many shows they dont allow photography. This venue gets some amazing artists. All the staff is always super friendly.
Kevin Milligan
I haven't been to the Keswick in years, however nothing has changed. With all the shows, etc. that have been performed here, you'd think that there would have been major upgrades to this venue. The seating is tight, not enough room between the chairs for people to comfortably sit, especially with the movement of the chairs when people sit down.
If we choose to go back, I'd get seats that separate the front center & middle center seats just for comfort. Please invest in upgrading.
Jason Orlando
The best part of this venue is the location, which is in a nice safe and clean town, where you can easily find free parking along the road. The venue itself is nice enough with a bar , friendly staff, and a security checkpoint to keep everyone safe. Warning that they are extremely aggressive in enforcing a no photo/no video policy. Which can be annoying but its something I can overlook given the positives.
Knonsense
Great venue. Usually able to find street parking or in lot out back. Not really a bad seat in the house. Excellent sound. Seats in need of an update but I guess that’s part of it’s charm.
Chad Minnix
Great little theatre with big name stars and performances. The chairs are the only thing that could go for an upgrade... Comfy to sit in if you have no one around but tight to the people next to you.
Colin Bosler
The Keswick is a very nice theater located in Gelnside, PA. It is well kept and has a great, vaudeville feel to it! It's not as sloped as other theaters and offers a great sound with superb acoustics. There are 2 lobby bars and the restrooms are very nice. The only small criticism is that the seats have not been replaced in what appears to be a very long time as they show wear and aren't the most comfortable. Hopefully they have the budget to upgrade the seats in the coming years. Parking is a challenge but if you're willing to walk, you can park on the street for several blocks around the theater. There are also great places to eat within walking distance.
Dan Steinman
Great venue! Make sure to arrive early for parking. Some neighboring lots do allow parking for Keswick Theatre but be sure to mind the signs designating which lots are allowed and which are not. Street parking in the local neighborhood is available if all lots are full and the walk is usually less than 5 minutes.
Jeffrey Jaegel
Xmas concert by Martina McBride was great. Always enjoy this venue. But had to park on the street blocks from the theater even an hour before the show. Always an issue, along with limited restaurant seating in the area. Eat before you travel into the village.
Victor Singh
Just saw The Fixx this past August and what an amazing show!! Great seats and great sound!
H G
Nice little theater. Nice place to see a live show
Frank Agrusa
Historic local venue with character and solid sound system. Great variety of bands. Good drink selection. New side bar next door a good pre-concert option.
Rebecca “Moss” Brannon
Nice venue. Ticketing process was not so great. User interface to get electronic entrance pass was impossible to navigate. The fact that a venue might not be DIRECTLY responsible for that doesn't mean they shouldn't use their weight to influence it on behalf of customers. Everyone would benefit.
Linda Rule
I had a night out with my daughter and 2 granddaughters for the Purple Experience. Fantastic in every way. Pleasant, amazing staff. We had pit seats and the Experience made memories for our 3 generations forever
Kevin Johnson
Peabo Bryson and Oleta Adams was a great show! There really is not a bad seat in the house.
Scott Conacher
First time at the Keswick in about 8 years. It seemed as though they had taken steps to spruce it up a bit by painting or redoing something to the inside walls and interior as it looked better than it did my last time there, that's not really saying alot though. The place really needs an overhaul. The seats are ready to fall apart and the stage just looks beat up. I still like the theater as a whole. The sound and sightlines are always good, kind of hard to mess that up. It's a convenient venue overall as it gets mid to high level national acts and puts them in an intimate atmosphere that makes it accessible to the everyday guy/girl without breaking the bank. I'm sure the Keswick will be around for a long time as it should be. Alot of great memories there and looking forward to more.
Madeleine Monaghan
we saw big bad voodoo daddy. great show. theatre has wonderful sound acoustics. perfect size place for that gig.
Brooke Hobes
We had an issue with someone selling us a ticket that was already scanned when we showed up for our show. The help desk was very patient and really understanding. He ended up finding the last 2 tickets that were available and I purchased them. Very helpful and kind staff. He felt bad that we got ripped off
Rich Widmeier
Place needs a lot of work. Security was too strict about phone pictures of band. Seats are ancient and sized for kindergarten kids. I don't think I would attend a show there again.
James Watson
Saw the purple experience here. Great show!
Really good time. Will definitely be back for other shows based on this experience. Very positive.
J Harris
I don't want to say too much. Because this is such a great neighborhood venue that has amazing artists that perform here. Yet, you want to make sure it's well represented. But, selfishly I want it to stay that way.
All the Colors
I saw W.A.S.P. and Armored Saint perform here in November 2022 for both band's 40th anniversary tour! Its a small theatre but its a nice place to go for a rock show or to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show being performed here ✌️🤘 …
Heather Cameron
Always a great time at the Keswick and we really enjoy the more intimate setting. We have seen multiple acts here, most recent being Jim Breuer who was FANTASTIC!
Hope Dabney
The Keswick theatre is awesome saw yes last Friday awesome concert.
S Smith
Great venue to see a music or comedy show! Not an obscured seat in the house. Mixed drink prices are $8-9.
terry Berkery
Sound system great.. seats not one bad one in the House. Restroom men's and women's.. Need About 4 MORE.. That's the Only thing Worng with that venue
John Frazar
An old tired theater. Very limited parking, uncomfortable seats. The staff is friendly and the ticket lines and concession lines move pretty quickly.
Hari Floura
Fantastic venue, great acoustics, so not a bad seat in the house unless you get a bad sound person!!
Patrick Carney
Classic venue. Great sound but I guess the old chairs have seen better days. Tight , uncomfortable, hard on butt.
Pegg Mahoney
What a great venue, we had a wonderful time! Beats the BIG venues hands down! Loved all the original architecture too!
Sean E.
First show back since the pandemic.... Citizen Cope was great. Friendly staff ! Drink lines were long, but they don't kill you on the $$$!! Go to a show here if you can.Great lil town.Elia had great Mediterranean food !
Gringo Starr
Great live music venue 👍 could use more restrooms,, my only complaint …
antmanhm delmar
Beautiful historic venue. It was newly renovated several years ago highlighting the extravagant architecture. The Drinks are much better priced than other venues. They are one of the few that have their own box office and you can call in or email for buying tickets. You can buy tickets online with AXS. The only downside is that they are very finicky about taking any videos of the concerts.
Chi Hamilton
Great venue and staff. I don't think there could be a bad seat in the house. I have another show purchased for September. I'll definitely keep this venue in mind as they have some pretty fabulous acts that seem to come through there.
Don Walsh
Great staff, comfortable seating and good visual access to stage area...very accomodating for St Luke's family at school 'summer stock' production...
Toni Oland
It's such a beautiful, historic theater with great and helpful employees. It's relatively small and intimate. My daughter and I saw Geoff Tate and an opener band, Kurt Diemer and loved every second of it! I urge you to go to The Keswick site and read about it's amazing history!
Kelly S. Spina
This was my first visit to Keswick Theatre (to see Steve Hofstetter) and I thought the venue was amazing. You will walk through a metal detector and security will look inside all bags when you arrive. This 6 during the covid pandemic, and they asked to see photo ID and either your covid vaccine card or proof of negative covid test results from the past 72 hours. Seats are comfortable and recline slightly. Concessions are inexpensive. Bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. I had a wonderful time tonight and would return for another show without thinking twice.
Jeff Porter
Great venue for concerts. Just saw Kingfish and opener Ally Venable which was an excellent show! Would be 5 stars if they didn't charge $9.50 for local Victory beer, geesh!
Tom Jones
Even with the building's age, the look is timeless. Love this place. Not a bad seat in the house.
Arthur MacNew (Art)
What a great historic theater to see shows in. The acoustics are good and the seats are pretty decent for being older. I have seen Steven Wilson there twice and will continue to watch for other interesting concerts.
Jimmy Matthews
I attended my first show there in three years. It was such a great time! The Staff was all smiles and the band was fantastic! I look forward to going back again soon! It was great to see old friends!
Donna Carchidi
Small, not a bad seat in the place. I thought my collage theater was small.
I snuck up to the stage for some awesome pictures of the band. Great venu. Friendly bartenders. Even with COVID-19 it was a good night. Mask required. Needed to bring proof of vaccine... I hate disclosing my health records.
HIPPA REGULATIONS ARE NOT A THING.
FYI
Apparently..., If you don't show proof of your vaccine(s), you don't get to see the show.
Mary Beth Driscoll
The Keswick is a fantastic venue to see music. Seating is great and staff is so helpful and friendly. And the lineup of shows year in and year out is excellent!! Tonight was a Robin Trower!
Mary Scholz
Really nice theater. Well organized. Friendly and helpful staff
Joy Makaryk
Very easy to get to from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. There looks to be a cute quaint place to eat next door. The neighborhood looks great, feels like you're in a neighborhood in England. Love the English Tudor style buildings.
Ediesther Fernandez
Seats can use some updating. It really started to agitate my sciatica pain. Glad I was able to get up but even then difficult because how narrow the walking space to clear the row of seats with people in them
Amanda Marcozzi
Parking was so easy! The venue is small, very accessible and comfortable. They had multiple bars open, lines were fast.
Joey Morales
Great experience. Great show. Great sound quality. It could undergo some renovation and seat are a bit cramped but over all I Loved it and would return again.
Joseph Dutko
We have been to this quaint older theater many times over the years, that books various great current & older act performances. We were absolutely blown away by both Tommy Emmanuel who was featured and Rodney Crowell who was the opening act along with a fiddler from Nashville. We have seen many of Tommy's shows over the years and can tell you, that if you like guitar, he is among the best you'll ever see. He has a great new album 'accomplice one' that's on the charts. We hope he comes back to the Keswick soon, for will be there.
Drago Strange
Nice atmosphere. A really old cozy movie type place but with a stage instead of a screen. Plenty of parking.
Lainee Levinton
It's always a great place to see a show. I only wish that they would re-upholster the seats so they are more comfortable.
Linda Mansi
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Intimate setting to see great performers! Kris Kristofferson and The Strangers tonight were great. Took my mom and she was in her glory!
KMS
Great venue to see a concert, not a bad seat in the house! Beautiful little town of Glenside, Pa. Worth a road trip to see a performance.
Richard Smith
A great original old feel theater. It both all the nuances of the era and still has all of the character from the time. A great intimate atmosphere to see a band or show!
Susan Corleto
Great little theater. Lobby gets a little packed, but overall great old fashioned venue.
Jen U
The sound in this theater is awesome. The size makes every seat a great seat however the seats themselves are very, very uncomfortable.
Marie
This venue is a little over 30 minutes outside of Philly. It's a cute little theater that seats approximately 1300 people. (There's only one level of seating). The concert I attended was great but I wish it would have been somewhere else. There was no AC in the concert room and if there was then it was6nt working. There were several portable fans situated in various locations to try to cool things off but it was still uncomfortably warm. Even the event performer commented on how hot it was! Despite all of this, there were a few good things that I should mention. There's paid parking in the back of the venue but if you're attending a concert and inform the theater personnel that you're parked in the back of the building you'll get a fee waiver sign that you can affix to the front of your car. So parking is free! Also, the theater sells drinks which is the only thing that kept me from melting into the floor. The staff are also very friendly and nice.
Annette Sanders
I love the Keswick because it is a small space and there is not a bad seat in the house. Only being 20 minutes from my house is also a plus. The accutics are good, the seats are different but comfortable.
Joe Walsh
Excellent small venue with great sound. We saw Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem; Horrible Crowe’s) and Craig Finn (The Hold Steady) and the atmosphere was really laid back and fun.
Cait Fleck
Attendants were friendly & helpful with our naivity to parking in the area. The bartenders were patient, smiling & knew how to make a good drink! The theatre is pretty cool & every seat is good! The concert we saw ROCKED & we're already planning our next event!
joe laster
Love this theater. Great venue. Only thing I'd like to see would be upgrade the seating.
Phyllis Lagerman
I love this theatre. It's the perfect size to get a good view anywhere. It may be a bit dated but that adds to the ambience. The seats are small but being 4'10" they are just fine for me! The only complaint I have is a certain security guard who checks to see if anyone is videotaping. I saw a show this past Saturday and he walks around non-stop which is distracting and annoying in itself. And should someone have their phone out to take a photo (which is allowed) he stops and stands there to make sure they aren't videoing. And then on one lap around someone had a phone out and he couldn't see what they were doing because they were in a middle seat. He tried to get their attention and then he had everyone in the row passing down a message to the person. Talk about distracting and I was an aisle across the other side of the section! He acts like he is in the Secret Service and he's protecting the President!
Sean Wilson
They have a liquor bar so that's nice. The seats are not for tall or wide people. The theater is old and it shows. They really need to update the place. The acoustics are nice and the sound system is great.
Paul Albert
Like a personal concert with friends u just met
Bonnie Brooks
Raymond Anthony put on a great show at the Keswick Theatre. Also very clean, Staff and Security there were great.
Toshika Neil
Always great, the only negative is the drinks are expensive and seemed watered down. But a very nice place to enjoy a show.
Ted Voltolina
Convenient location to see shows without having to drive into Philly. The parking is free if you get there early enough and show your ticket to the box office. Masks were required when I went. They enforced the policy and thankfully everyone complied without acting like children.
Emily Bob mazzola
Great local small theatre.. purchase tickets at location to save on crazy fees
Crystal Pezok
The Keswick theatre is a smaller theatre but honestly quite nice. Parts of it look like it's incredibly old but the building seems relatively in good repair and condition and it's part of it's charm. It may no longer be in it's prime but it is still over all a wonderful theater And the staff are friendly and efficient.
Stefany Sherman ⓥ
Nice smallish theater in Glenside, PA. Saw Aimee Mann here. The sound is great. There is not a bad seat in the house, you can even see the stage from the lobby. Seats are small (it’s an historic theater) but comfortable. Bathrooms are upstairs.
Sam Skariah
Good venue. Friendly staff at the bar and good acoustics. Parking is limited on site but available as local parking in the surrounding area.
deborah delp
The theater needs more lady rooms. Bar is good. Seats have good leg room. I couldn't tell if it is being updated or just old and falling apart. Good acoustics!
Scott Burns
Small venue
Seats very comfortable
Great for up close experience
A lot of fun
Thomas Doyle
Show was Awesome, Piff was amazing, Very Entertaining.
Thank you Puddles, I am speechless and blown away by your stage presence. You Command the crowd.
If only my date went as well.
Misery does love company.
Michael Merz
Great 1300 seat theater especially for acoustics, can get pretty loud for rock bands
Rick Wallace
Have seen Buddy Guy on his 77th Birthday perform with Quinn Sullivan opening for him the first time. That show was my first experience with the local gem. From that performance to last night's performance featuring Beth Hart with again Sullivan Quinn opening....my favorite part was Beth's unplugged part of the show. The sound was very good ,Our seating was facing the stage left side about ten rows back. The seating is a little tight,I'm a 6'0" 260 lb guy.....I did notice that they had changed the colors from deep red to a creamy yellow......I will keep coming back.A great evening
Lisa Steen
Nice venue with awesome shows but small seats
Mark Gallant
Love the Keswick. Intimate and comfortable. Great restaurants nearby. Will go again in a heartbeat!
Georgeline Gallerista
Amee Mann was incredible. Sound was spot on. Large but intimate audience. Adorable town.
mkorlando
Love this intimate great sounding venue. The city is quaint for a nice little dinner before the show.
Sixxchick70
This place has the potential to be an amazing venue. Doesn't appear it's been updated in decades.
Jay Schuchardt
Always clean and a great place to see a show.
Tammi Simpson
My husband and I saw the living legend Buddy Guy!!! We had an awesome time! The staff and security were very nice and helpful! The Keswick gives you that old school intimate feel. I would have given 5 stars had the seats been reupholstered or at least deep cleaned!
Daniel Hagerman
Beautiful Theatre, great place to see a show ! The only issue I had was those chairs are not comfortable to sit in for two hours. I saw Henry Rollins spoken word tour and he spoke for about two hours. Not comfortable after about one hour.
Judith Hill
Enjoyed the show, but the seats need to be updated. Not comfortable at all
Mark Bannister
Great venue. Very intimate. Great acoustic. Not a bad seat in the place. Highly recommended to see a show
Tony R Pesce
First time there for the wife and I. The place is amazing and steve Hofstetter made a perfect funny night
Veronika M
Glenside is absolutely beautiful. Finding parking can sometimes be difficult, but the quaint street in which the theatre is located, makes for an unforgettable experience. It's a smaller scale theatre, so shows feel a lot more personal. Perfect for the introvert that doesn't like crowded, big halls.
Thomas Kalinoski
Great place to see your favorite bands from the “good ole days” ! Been there to see some of the greats of the seventies including my cherished “Get the Lead Out” tribute band, original Grand Funk Railroad, Marshall Tucker, America, The Outlaws, The Monkeys, The Guess Who, and Steve Miller! Only wish they would update the theater because only one restroom on the 2nd floor. All seats have a good view of the stage in a high school like auditorium..........but they’re as hard as a rock and are in dire need of updating! 😬
Doug Gramo
A great place for live music.
Joseph Manini
We went to hippy fest and got to meat the members of the bands!! We always have a great time at the Keswick Theater . Rick Derringer and the guys from Vanilla Fudge were awesome!!
Tonyia Kaiser
Little disappointed no food or snacks band didn't really sing alot of instrumental was ok
Marty Bockhorn
Have been going there over many years and glad there is a place like this locally. Keep the entertainment going. 😁 …
SaBa Tech
Staff was great. Place was friendly and organized despite being a large crowd it didn't feel crowded. Definitely will go again.
Gary Pinkowski Sr.
Excellent and cozy place to see a music venue. Great acoustics!
Colleen Kiessling
One of the best venues. I have loved coming here forever
Still a great venue.
Cora Marino
Cute venue for an intimate show. You cannot stand/dance in your seat the whole time, but they have designated areas to dance.
Keanon Gilliam (Slang369)
Keswick Theater a Good Place for Entertainment. I went there for comedy show and it's pretty nice with ushers there to help you find seating. I know they have a variety of entertainment there besides comedy shows so check their website for upcoming shows. Located in Glendale, Pa after the show there are plenty of bar/restaurants to go. Very nice area.
Julie Reardon
Great venue!! Saw The Wallflowers ❤️
Andrew Gilbert
I've been here a few times, I like the theatre I just wish they'd update it. Definitely aged and uncomfortable seats
A. R.
Loved it great place. We saw click clack moo fabulous!!!! Recommend it.
Michael Roesch
Great vibes when you see it and walk in, classic design and feel. The drink service was fast and well staffed so you didn’t miss anything. The seats are dated and uncomfortable and could use an upgrade.
Ricardo Hernandez
No bad spot to sit at this place and very clean.
Teresa Jaegel
Clean, well run for a large number of people & the sound system was excellent.
Lindsay Romeo
We love the Keswick Theatre and always have a great night whenever we attend an event here! The theatre is so cozy and intimate, and it's always filled with the friendliest people. The Keswick is certainly a hidden gem!
Melissa Leon
Great acoustics no matter where you sit. The town has a 10 p.m. curfew so your show will end before or at 10. Seen many concerts here and there's always been a great view of the stage.
Matt Lisowski
One of my favorite places to see a show. A couple things to note, however: The drinks are very expensive (2 beers = $15+ before tip), but you're able to take them to your seats with you which is a plus. There's only one set of bathrooms as well so the lines can get incredibly long if there's an intermission.. so if you really need to go and don't want to wait in line, make sure you either run to the bathroom before intermission or beat the crowd.. otherwise you'll be in line for ~30 minutes. Wonderful venue though in a great area. Great restaurants right nearby, plentiful parking, etc. Generally good vantage points from almost any seat in the venue.
Bob Calvosa
Beautiful theater.
Great show( the Hooters).
Douglas Mackay
Terrific venue, all seats good. Refreshments, spacious lobbies, and friendly and helpful staff. Renovations will bring in new seats soon. Parking limited in lot but street parking adequate.
Brian Binder (bjb24)
Excellent venue. Wish their bathroom setup could accommodate more. Saw America and seats were fantastic. Awesome experience.
Ginger Peterson
Four stars because the seats are uncomfortable. Three stars for the lack of mask enforcement (If it is a requirement, either enforce it or let people make their own decision). Two stars for the completely distracting security staff who walked the aisles every few minutes during the concert. Five stars for the super friendly bar folks. We were there for a concert and it wasn't so loud that it hurt my ears 😁
John Robinson
Saw Colin Hay the other night at the Keswick. Excellent show! It was my first time back there in many years, and I really appreciated the ease of entry, security, and finding our seats. And Colin was awesome!
April
Lovely theater once inside. The vestibule/ box office area is tight quarters though & with the main lobby doors opening out, it makes things that much more difficult; especially for those handicapped.
Wish there was more restrooms on main floor, other than the one handicapped. I was with a friend that had issues with stairs that night, but the line for the lone restroom on main level had a long line. She wound up missing first part of 2nd half of the show & nearly had an accident in her pants due to the wait.
There needs to be an elevator to the 2nd level & more restrooms.
Joe Gilmore
An excellent place to watch a show . The seats are little cramped but all in all a excellent place to watch
J VG
Keswick Theater is mostly known for its concerts but they do offer other types of entertainment as well. You might need to park a few blocks away near homes so plan on a walk. Metal detectors are used before entrance.
linda cavallucci
Our first time there ,to see the show we spent our 50th Wedding anniversary, there. The show with the Duprees and many others was simply a dream come true ,Love the Theater and the workers were very nice and polite ,Will be going again for sure .Thank you Keswick Theater for making our Anniversary one of the best ♥️♥️♥️
Catherine Amell
The seating was a bit cramped and the stage a little hard to see due to how the seats were arranged (though I'm also quite short and the man in front of me very tall), the folks there are wonderful and overall it's a nice place to see a show. I'd recommend a visit!
Joe Dougherty
My wife and I had a great time at the Toad the Wet Sprocket show. The theater was clean and nice. There were plenty of bar tenders for the pre - show drinks. The bathrooms were clean too. I will say the seats were a bit old and uncomfortable, but they didn't take away from the event.
Ellie DiLapi
Loved the GSR concert. Thank you for supporting Taller Puertorriqueño with a lobby info table.
Kristi Burleigh
Excellent local spot for concert venues. Just saw Dokken, awesome show. Expensive drinks. Just saw WASP, excellent show!! 2 drinks = 40
Ken Baum
Great place to see a show.
All the seats have a good view. Seats are old, small and not that comfortable though. Easy parking in and around the neighborhood.
Ben Nielsen
Excellent venue! Seats are nice and recline a bit but not so as to impose upon the person behind you (at least, that was true of the front row). Very pretty theater. Would definitely return.
David Sanchez
Had fun but they really need new seats. And a new sign out front.
Peggy McCullough
The Keswick is an old theater in need of renovations but is situated in a nice area of Glenside. There is a parking lot in the rear. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If you are going to dine in any nearby restaurants, call for reservations, especially on show nights.
Evetta (Queen)
It was my first time going here and the show was great. Monique and the other comedians were great. The theater itself can definitely use some work though.
James Carnes
Great theater.. Awesome sound system 🎸 …
Rolf
Great place to see a band. Nice staff, clean place. Real cool and old timey venue. Nice neighborhood too.
Kevin Cawley
Excellent gem of a venue so close by. When your friend of 40+ years headlines it's rather cool.
David Luschini
Very good staff.
Located in a safe neighborhood with free on street parking.
Much better than dealing with issues of Philadelphia venues.
Steve Elzey
The theater was very nice. Seats were comfortable. Not really a bad seat in the house. The band was fantaatic
Terri B
I really like having a Keswick around as a local venue, it’s just that the seating is not super comfortable. The chairs are really old and many of them are broken and kind of shaky. Also, pretty hard to see from the back rows.
E L W
I attended the MJ Bad experience at the Keswick. We had to wear masks and present vax cards at the door. There was a full bar for your enjoyment so thank you for that! The theatre was intimate and cozy .The seating was a little tight and we probably should have been sitting every other seat. At one point the Women's bathroom was out of order so that was a problem.
The show was fun and entertaining. There were photo opportunities with the cast after.
Like most Vintage theatres, this one needs to start a Go Fund Me to make repairs.
Daikaiju 73
Seats are smidge cramped if you're on the tall side. Good acoustics, even from the rear. Could use larger bathrooms.
Faith Richards
An intimate venue with fun entertainment! Ushers are very sweet and polite! It's a beautiful building with lovely decor. A bar and clean bathrooms. Check the event schedule!
eric Boatwright
Very nice for a date night but get there early for parking
Bob Rankin
Nice place to catch a show. Plenty of local establishments to have a bite or drink at prior and post show. Just give yourself ample time to get there if you don't live in the neighborhood 😊...it is metro-, Philadelphia and the freeways are filling there purpose during rush hour. …
Jo McKeon
Not a bad seat & the staff is awesome. Plenty of parking within a very cool downtown area.
Maureen Monaghan
Me and my boyfriend went to see WASP and Armored Saint good concert
david adler
Great place to see a concert or performer.not a bad seat in the house. Good restaurants right across the street from the venue. Easy to get to and free parking in the neighborhood.
Guha Lakshmiratan
Unfortunately, I think part of the issue with the Keswick Theater is location. End of the show - no cell signal. Pouring rain. Running to different establishments to even use WiFi so we could call an Uber... no joy! Took almost an hour to get a ride!
The theater itself is fairly clean and well maintained.
Nick “SpudboysDrummer”
I LOVE The Keswick! But I'm removing a star because the restoration project seems to have come to a halt.
Always a great place to see a show. There's not a bad seat in the house.
James Deegan
Classic old retro concert venue, go to a group u like and you'll get your monies worth cause the sound is great and u can actually see the band. vanilla fudge even signed my ticket stub and Robby Krieger was dynamic with his new group. Good memories.
Michael P
The Keswick Theatre is nestled in downtown Glenside, surrounded by boutiques and restaurants. The theatre itself is clean and staff were friendly. During my visit in December 2021, the theatre staff took proper care to ensure that vaccinations were present before entering the venue or that there were negative tests. Given how small the theatre was, it was appreciated that they put such care into general wellbeing. I would love to come back and see future shows/performances in the future.
Tim Oneill
Nice venue. Could use some more bathroom space, but given the age of the theater it was a very pleasant experience.
Sherry Hotkowski
We have been a few times to see The Hooters venue is great love the historic venues
Gail Street
Great small venue...no bad seats but parking is horrible. Get there early because it’s street parking in a neighborhood!
Frederick Waldron
The show was quite good, in spite of the fact that some of the performers were a little past their best... The theater could use a lick of paint, as well!
Wendy Gettis
Saw #Colin Hay been in love with him since 1983 HS year. Colin left us captivated, with his stories and jokes. The venue is small the seats are wonky.
Tom Clark
First time in the theater. Fantastic experience with Jon Anderson. Not a bad seat in the house.
Rudy Nedelka
Great place to see a concert. Only disappointment, no photos or videos allowed during the Tommy James concert. Told it was at the bands request.
karen kershaw
1st time there will definitely keep an eye on upcoming events.
Jenea Drayton
It was always blast going to Keswick Theatre especially seeing Who’s Bad Tribute Band!!
Brian Lacey
Incredible theater. Cute town. Surprisingly great acts.
Becky Schoenfellinger
Wonderful old Theatre. Has a vibe that just can't be explained. Love it!
Erin Beaver Underwood
Every seat a great seat! Every show extraordinary!
Peter Luig
A nice small venue to watch extremely well-prepared cover bands. So far I've seen about 6 and have never been disappointed. Also it's cheaper to buy the tickets on AXS. Somehow if I could get rid of the electronic service fees it would even be better!
Patti Stirk
One if the best sounding rooms in Pennsylvania. Every artist says so.
ErikaA
Small old theater. Old school charm and great sound.
Joseph Moffitt
Great first time experience seeing a Beth Hart concert. Up close and personal, old but you feel the music.
Audrey Robb
Saw Tower of Power for the 3rd time here. Last night. Classy old-head venue. Due to covid and crime I guess- we had to walk through scanners and wear masks. I didnt mind because I knew my treat was forth coming. Love the eccentric theater atmosphere here . Surrounded by my peers of all races! Soul with a capital "S"! Music doesnt discriminate!
Karen Gustafson
Nice place, clean- pleasant employees. Not a bad seat in the house!
Jeremy dePrisco
Extremely overpriced drinks but overall good venue.
Mike Arrigo
Epic place to see a show! Small and comfortable. Bar was on point.
Matt Caputo
Saw Haken here on 5/11/2022 and they rocked it! Cool venue, pretty old but sounded great and not a bad seat in the house.
Scott Page
The venue does need some internal cosmetic work but the sound quality and amenities are great. The artists and shows are always top shelf.
Greg
Would have been 5 stars but the venue did not provide prior notice of the need to provide proof of vaccination. While I'm fine with needing to do so, we had no idea it was needed to enter. Required a trip back home to get proof, which meant we missed half the show.
Jessica Jaffe
Always a fun time and always uncomfortable 🙃 🙂
The seats are small, old fashioned & not comfortable. …
Mike Bermudez
The Keswick is in a very convenient location, which means that I can see top tier shows without having to go into the city. The theater is in desperate need of an update though. The seats are old and the walls are dingy. However, I know it takes lot of money to refresh the theater. So I will continue to support the theater and go to events in hopes that eventually it'll get the attention in needs.
Teresa Deck
Seats were uncomfortable nice size theater
Cherie Terrey
The venue is a little old theatre, but really offers a lot. It did get a little hot as the show went on - especially when standing and moving around to the main performer - but not unbearable. This show was in July. Seats are a little odd -- so be careful when sitting down. Overall, the prices were good for a nice rock concert.
Colleen Kennedy
Great theater to see a show! No bad seats, friendly staff and nice friendly neighborhood.
Steve Thomas
Great venue, sound amazing as usual. Only problem are the folks not wearing masks even though the facility requires them. Don't fault the staff, tough thing to control.
David Machado
Very old-well kept theater. Old fashion seats well kept good cushion. The staff very helpful. It's a midsize theater meaning you can see well enough the show no matter where you seat is at. The audio is very good. Clean, walls painted not with graffiti, shows are constantly playing. Great surroundings you can walk have a beer at the bar, restaurants, etc. Parking is not good is a little hassle.
Rick Peck
Old time classic theater, looking a bit worn but the seats were comfortable and the acoustics were excellent. Sits 1500 or so, all in the lower level. Very little on-site parking, be prepared to walk a few blocks to get to your car. A great place to watch a concert.
Stacey Barndt
Nice little theater, great parking. Fun street .... you can walk to local restaurants for something to eat and drink before the show!
Michael Gross
Saw my favorite musician last night at the Keswick theater..Tommy James and the Shondells. What a Great Performance as always Mikeyinphilly TM ❤️
Ree Ree
Went to see Yes ... great little theater in a great area
Kenny Mueller
Great place to see a concert. Seats are a bit small and the lines to use the bathrooms are long.
Joe Cohen
We have been coming there for years.
The actual venues there are awesome.
The only thing that we do not like are the seats. They really need to be replaced. I know they are nostalgic . When the seats are replaced one day, they need to be staggered half a seat every other row exactly. Who wants to look at the back of a person's head.
Security and your entire staff are very well prepared.
Keep up the great venues!
Joseph Smith
Love this place for a concert !!!!! Only thing was that the bathrooms are upstairs and I have a hard time walking..I hate trying to find a parking space !!!!
April N
Parking was a breeze. Nice venue.
Jessica Kipp
The theater is awesome - not a bad seat in the house!! The sound was perfect and the lights are on point too. Depending on timing parking could be tricky but the location has plenty of choices for food and drinks before and after shows.
Mike Connelly
Great location for a concert or comedian
I hadn't been here in over 20+ years and it still had the historic feel of an old time theater with theater style seats. The venue is great for a more intimate event, all seats have a great view and it doesn't have a crowded overwhelming atmosphere.
Mike McCabe
We saw 38 Special, the Keswick theater is a great theater to see any show
Seth Winters
Went to see Beth Hart at this fine venue. One of the top shows ever seen in my life. See my Bandsintown revue for more.
Joseph Biebel
I commend the Keswick for requiring proof of vaccination and masking for attending a show, however, once admitted the mask wearing enforcement was rather lax. I won't be attending another show here until either the pandemic is over or the venue improves its enforcement of the mandatory mask rule.
Dennis Iannelli
Haven't been there in years. Went on 4/13 to see Queen cover band. Great show, lots of energy ! The theater is a beautifully reconditioned old theater. Well organized, and a bar serving adult beverages to boot ! Not a bad seat in the house, even at the back the view is exceptional. Good upcoming events in a great venue.
Mike Smith
Great venue. Bar can be the source of unwanted noise, depending on the crowd and your location in the theater. The renovations are a much needed improvement.
Steve D
Awesome vaudeville era theater. The sound is phenomenal, the staff generally courteous, the building beautiful. I got a chance to see 4 bands from the 90s play together there last weekend and it was a blast. I would definitely love to go there again!
Tracee Dunston
Love it..u can see the performancers up close
Mike Goldschmidt
Good location but parking is a problem. The theater needs to be updated especially the rest rooms. The ushers were helpful.
Paul Manoogian
Great location to see a show!
Michael Rodriguez
Historic theater that I was able to tour. Located in a small neighborhood, has a great local charm.
Kevin Sebesky
The folks at the Keewick are so helpful. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable at the Friday !0/7 Yes show. As a result, we had a great time. We'll be back, that's for sure.
Walter Mcclanahan
Excellent venue, the new addition will be GREAT!!!!
Craig Collins
Great place to see a show! Sight lines are all good. Sound is excellent! Seats are old movie theater seats, so if you are larger person, like me, bring your shoehorn to get in and out of it! Parking is a little dicey, but it's a nice, safe walk from wherever you get your spot.
j m
Beautifully restored Movie House that now hosts all types of Live Music, Comedy, Stage Productions, etc...
The only thing that sorta stinks about going here is getting there, in that there's no really easy access to this place, but that's not the fault of the theater.
I always enjoy the Keswick, the staff is friendly and everyone is there to have a good time.
The town realized it had a gem and responded with a variety of restaurants and a few bars located just a few steps from the Keswick, so if you want to do dinner and enjoy a show, you can do so locally.
Kevin Weir
Not a bad seat in the place. Love the history of the theater, you can feel it whenever you see a show there. Prices are usually very reasonable except on some of the top billed performances. Beer prices are higher than at a bar, but you get a good amount and they always have a decent selection. Bathroom lines are the only complaint I would register.
Jacky Avaa
Parking is behind theater and with purchase of ticket parking is supposedly free (we were unaware until after the fact). The theater is small and the seats are small and slightly uncomfortable with minimal leg room and no cup holders. After show ended it was a pain to get out and it took forever to exit the building. Overall the show was amazing but the theater was mehh. Oh and drinks are $15 + for each so be sure to drink before or not at all because there is only one bathroom and the line is insane.
Theresa Sidorick
Very intimate setting. Beautiful plasterwork and the acoustics were perfect. Seats need to be updated. It looks as if they are working on some projects to better this beautiful old theater. Restaurants close by. Arrive early for parking.
Sarah W.
I love the old building and the charm, but it's not practical. Sure, it's great to see a live show in an intimate setting, but the seats are terrible. And 4 bathroom stalls in the women's bathroom? You spend the entire intermission, and quite possibly miss the start of the second act, waiting in line. I'm all for going to a local theater, but this place needs major work.
C M (Omniazol)
It's a cute theater. The seats, even though they were a little wobbly due to the springs in the cushions, were fairly comfortable. The acoustics are great when I saw Apocalyptica. Parking was easy to find close by and the Tavern across the street serves EXCELLENT food!
Cliff Eckhart
Great place to see a show, acoustics sound clear without being excessively loud. Definitely an old-school theater!
Brett Pulliam
Let me start with the positive:
Good venue for the money.
Very nostalgic and classic theater. I saw a concert and was pleased with the view towards the stage and the acoustics were perfect. The venue is located in a quaint little downtown area with plenty of restaurants, but be advised, you should make a reservation.
The not so positive:
The seats are not made for anyone over 6 feet tall. There will be significant 'man-spread,' so be aware. Parking is awful. My advice, Uber, taxi, friend drop-off...anything but trying to park at or around the theater. Especially if it happens to rain or be cold..or both.
Wayne R
Great shows, great concert venue, with great staff. They also require everyone to be vaccinated which makes it safe for the performers and the audience.
Kathy Gaglio
Big portions, excellent food, great service, quality ingredients and fast.if you can't find it on the menu then you don't need it! It's so hard to decide.
Steve Kwatkoski
Great theater and live shows
Justin Gross
A nice spot. Seats are terribly uncomfortable. They book some great acts, etc. Paid parking behind the venue.
Danielle King
Love this theater and the variety of shows it hosts. The onlynreal downside is that the seats are old and small and not always comfortable, but you can see the stage no matter where you sit. There's a cozy feel to the place.
Stevenson Demorcy
Loved everything about this place. Mo'Nique was amazing!
Carol VanDoran
Great venue for live music. Small enough that most seats are good. Could use more bathroom facilities. The lines get rather long at intermission. Also parking can be a problem if you don't get there early.
Nick Hand
Great venue. Excellent acoustics and friendly staff.
Grant Rounds
Great local theater. Staff is helpful and friendly. Come early to find choice parking.
Ryan Latimer
We saw a great show there, very nice theater and good seating. Will definitely go back for more showing. The parking situation isn't great. If you don't show up early, you'll have to find street parking a few streets away.
Michael Quinn
Great place to see a show. Not a bad seat in the house.
Christian Lingenfelter (CLing)
It was great!!! Best theatre I have ever been to. Overall the theatre was gorgeous. They had great workers that helped with anything needed. It was clean and I felt very comfortable being there. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see a show there.
Paul Dziomba
Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Band was great. Seats are not the most co Fortaleza, but good enough. A far drive.
Reign
Nice show but seating is not for those with a few extra pounds and it really needs work aesthetically
MummeeToe
A terrific local theater environment to enjoy a favorite artist. Cost is nominal and they have a fully stocked bar allowing Refreshments in the theater area. Generally a adult environment with little or no drama also has free parking get there early!
Nope
Theatre is great the atmosphere the decor amazing and they have two full bars so that was fun. Also there climate control is great the theater was packed and I was perfectly comfortable which is rare the seats are obviously original but very comfortable and they recline slightly which made sitting through the 3.5hr show pleasant. About the only thing I could complain about is there parking they share with few other businesses so it wasn't easy to find a space and I had to take the parking pass back to my vehicle. Also on a side note the don't let firearms in even if your law enforcement I showed my badge they still asked me to lock it in my vehicle which I did without argument its their right but if you're a L.E.O or have a CCW save yourself the walk lock your weapon up before going in.
Carol Ann
Went to see The Alarm, Gene Loves Jezebel, and Modern English. The sound was awesome. However, the theater was very cramped and extremely hot. Had to jump out into the aisles to dance. It is not a terrible place, but I prefer to not go back.
Michael Greger
Awesome iconic theater. Not a bad seat in the house. I used to visit this place all the time as a child when it was a movie theater. Now it's used for first rate live entertainment. Just saw the comedian Sinbad and had a great time. I highly recommend you see a show here. Many restaurants in the area for a meal before or after the show.
Kim Mancini
Nice vintage venue. Good selection of performers. Seating is not comfortable, but they are working on renovations. Bar prices are expensive. Ushers are welcoming. Get there early for good parking. Small paid lot behind the building fills fast.
Johnny G
At the Ace Frehley concert a few weeks ago. People were jumping up in row where I was sitting and security, if you want to call them that, did nothing. They suck!
Joseph Bass
Great place for a intimate show.headef back to see Lindsey Buckingham Friday night
Not a. Bad seat in the house.great sound, great people,Kenny Wayne Rocked it
Barbara Ridgley
Enjoyed it very good , but hated the seats .
Ralph Ben
Older converted movie theater. I find it an intimate setting for most shows. I've always found good crowds and helpful staff . Alcohol is available with refreshments. The new security features are a drag but that's the world we live in today. Parking can be tight. Limited variety but good local food and drink is available. I'd give it 5 stars if there was better bathroom access, especially for the women.
Julie Braman
Worked there, love it there. All good seats, no obstructed views. It's always too loud for plugged- in concerts.
Nikkinizz
Old theater but good sound for music and shows. Seats are original and should definitely be replaced. Not much elbow room. Bars set up reasonable prices. No food there so eat before you go. A couple of nice restaurants within walking distance and pizza places as well.
Adam Satko
I have attended several concerts and other performances here over the years. It's big yet small enough that you can see the performance. Sound is great. It's fun to grab a meal in Keswick Village beforehand. Just grab a table early.
Jacqueline Entwisle
Smaller venue, 1,300 seats, and not a bad seat in the house. Although others have said the seats are uncomfortable, I find them to be fine. I like the older feel of the theater and the quaintness of the town. The employees are always very helpful.
Jim Plenderleith
Nice venue. No bad seats there. Sound quality was brilliant.
Jeffrey Lovell
Beautiful old theater. Great view no matter where your seats. Only complaint was that it was excessively hot during the show. To the point that we were soaked by the end. Not sure if the AC was partially down or what?
Dan Fields (The Ride Abides)
Favorite place to see a show. Great old theater. Seats aren't huge or anything but not too bad. And the bathroom line is horrendous. BUT they get great shows, parking is basically free, easy in/out. Lots of good dining options in the area. It's a wonderful small/medium theater experience.
Rae Ann Smith
We also saw Buddy Guy here. What a great theater! Read complaints about the seats being uncomfortable but we had no issues. My husband is not a small guy so I did get him an end seat to give him leg room. We didn't find the theater overly hot either despite it being a warm day and reading negative reviews about that. We will definitely go back!!!
Mariah Drenth-Cormick
This theater is one of the originals. Quaint and tucked right in the middle of a town. Plenty of places to park (around back) and plenty of places to eat with in walking distance. Once you are in there...the bathrooms are up a nice flight of stairs BUT if you can't do steps there is ONE bathroom (handicapped only it says) on the main floor. The seats are small and god forbid you have long legs...there isn't much leg room...but ever seat in the house is an amazing view. The sound quality..great...
Susan Lewis Paciga
One of my favorite venues. I grew up 15 minutes away, moved 150 miles away, and still come back a few times a year for concerts. Good accoustics, good acts, comfortable seats. Nice, friendly people working there
Ed Dornheim
Great venue for shows. Seats are a little tight but then I need to loose a little weight.
Phil Donahue
Perfect small theater venue to hear your favorite bands. It's an old school movie theater 1000 plus seat venue with three bars so you won't be thirsty. If you like getting up and down for beverages during the show get aisle seats. Seating is comfortable but if you over 6'2" it will be tight. The first two rows are regular chairs not bolted to the ground. Food pre and post concert is available in the neighborhood. Parking is available both free and paid but watch the signs or you could be surprised when you come out. Bathrooms are upstairs but I did not see any elevators so call to be sure.
Sanders b
great venue with good seating. doesnt seem like a bad seat in the house. only bathroom is upstairs and line was so long and slow during intermission that even waiting the whole 20 minutes I was still 30 people away...dont know how small it is because never made it inside cause I would have missed the second part of show.
M D
Great place to see a smaller show. Due to it's size, going to a sold out venue becomes extremely cramped. Though not much can be done about that due to them keeping it as original as possible. That is not a bad thing if you like ambiance.
Only real issue I have with the place is the lack of parking accommodation.
Frugal Livin'
First time I was ever there and I loved it! We saw Get the Led Out. Got to meet the band afterward too! They had a smoking section outside and three bars so not long of a wait. Go to the bar and bathroom during the concert and not at intermission because the line will be longer. Inexpensive date night and wonderful staff!
Gary Fisher
Great local venue for music. The theater has a lot of old time charm and coziness - 1928. No bad seats. Plenty of free parking if you can walk a few blocks. In close proximity to a number of restaurants and bars.
Will Smith
Blackberry Smoke beer last night great time
Sabreena Joynes
We went to see Stephen Marley in November. The acoustics in this place are wonderful.....one of the best I've been to. There was plenty of free parking even on a Friday night. My only complaint is that the seats are very close together and the drinks were very expensive.
Bill Pflueger
Great venue. Great acoustics for concerts. saw Chris Isaak and he sounded awesome. All seats feel up close.
La Buz
I always enjoy coming to the Keswick for shows. Most recently I came to see comedian Nate Bargatze. He was great and brought a special guest--his dad who was awesome too! The area is nice, plenty of places to eat or drink around the theater. Parking can be tricky, but has never been a problem so far. It's nice to have a venue outside of the city but not too far away.
Chris Shields
Good views easy access great acts
Barbara Murtha
Saw David Sedaris - as always loved his humor. Glad about the covid safety. Great time with my friends and great show
Bob Broph
I have seen many great concerts over the years at the Keswick. I have never been disappointed, great venue.
Sean Moran
Amazing venue to see any concert or show! Old timey feel and great sound!
Ralph Rodriguez
My favorite venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Great acts. My favorite factor is that this place attracts the hippest music fans... not just date night (although there's plenty of that, too) but REAL fans.
Eric Garboushian
An awesome small theatre, saw Transatlantic here on the opening night of their tour. A great venue with a very friendly staff.
Thor Mccammon
Renovation is only partially completed but it is a great place to see a show.
Joel Torres
Nice facility for musical events that cater to artists fans.
Dan M
Kingfish rocked the house... awesome smaller venue with great sound
Linda Broderick
My S. O. and I went and seen the Cream show, it was good and you could get snacks and drinks (w alcohol or without) and they had a mid set break which was nice. The place is starting to show its age, but still had a great time. A fun night out and the pizza place down the street (literally) was omg-so-good. Check it out, they have all kinds of bands coming there, different every month.
Julie Schley
Shadows of the 60's, Motown Review was wonderful!! Great peformers and lots of old time favorites. Small and intimate venue. Any seat gives a good view of the stage. Bathrooms are limited and waits are long, so plan accordingly. Parking lot space is very limited so get there early or plan for a short walk or take uber.
Jeanette Jones
Went and seen Dave Mason and had an awesome time. Think they should reconsider selling alcohol. There were some people that were in the securities faces and they handled it like pros, especially one lady by the stage. There was a guy right in her face and she just stood her ground and acted like she wasn't bothered at all. Other than that it was a great show, comfortable seats and a lot of fun. Will definitely go back.
Tristin Seip
The atmosphere was incredible inside, I attended a Post Modern Jukebox show. Good staff too, great food nearby.
Sean DeLuca
Great place to see a show and the artists they have are first rate. The building showing its age and the seats have seen better days, but it's a gem in Glenside.
Harriet Stein
This place is such a unique and special gem. Was just there on 11/15/19 seeing the comedian Bobby Collins, who was excellent. The people who work here are so very friendly. They offer a great mix of talent and programs. Grateful to have them in our neighborhood!
Jill Feldman
One of my favorite venues for live music, the sound system is excellent and there's really not a bad seat in the house. A cool surrounding area to eat and shop too.
wkdwtch13
I love this venue and just wanted to share an experience. I had a ticketing issue and the General Manger was very attentive and helpful. The Keswick is such a great theater and I am reminded how lucky we are to have it every time I go. Love the courteous staff and grateful for the excellent customer service.
Jim McLaughlin
Been going for years. Comfortable seats, great sound. Always a great time.
Ruby Williams
The comedy show was awesome the Theater was less than what I expected, it was not upscale and the restroom was mediocre the seats in the theater were cloth and food was stuck on most of them. I had the worst experience ordering my tickets by phone I'll never do that again. It's best to by in person at their box office,by phone they gave me the wrong time for the show, when I called back they recharged my card to change the time when I had paid already. It was the worst thing ever.
Ryan Domalesky
Great venue with amazing acts. Perfect sized crowds with serious talent regularly. I can't say enough good things about it. Been here multiple times in 2 to 3 years. Restaurants and bars are all around. I want to say Bob saget is hilarious. And his show..that's nuts. Hilarious
Cindy Parks O'Neil
Just attended opening night of Jesus Christ Superstar. I was very impressed with the singing of the actors. Judas tells the story of Jesus' demise through his eyes. The problem with the show tonight was the fact that two main scenes in the show had the main singers blocked due to them being set back to far on the upper stage. The actors, Pilate and Judas in two key scenes were not visible for many in the audience on the right side of the auditorium. I won't buy those seat again. I bought the most expensive seats. All it would take is moving the actors forward several feet. That was very sad that the final song sung by Judas, "Jesus Christ Superstar" was not able to be seen. I did inform one of the theatre folks during intermission. It would have been nice if that was relayed to the director so that the last scene did not have the same problem. That seems like a fundamental issue to check during rehearsal. Another oddity was the fact that there was no curtain call which left the audience wondering if the play wasn't over. That was strange. It would have been nice to applaud the actors and crew with a final bow. The actors themselves were wonderful. The singing was superb. Overall the show was very enjoyable. The Keswick Theatre is a neat old place with lousy bathroom space for women. The intermission is a problem for ladies needing the restroom. That alone took the entire 20 mins. The line was ridiculous as there are only a few stalls. I'd go back but choose middle seats and probably not drink the $6.50 glass of cheap wine to save myself the long wait.
Andy Thompson
It's a great place for shows had a fantastic time
Greg Avakian
There are a couple things I really like about the Keswick.
Free parking behind the Keswick and across the road behind the Keswick. Very cool.
The events that they bring in are terrific. I live in the city, but if I lived in a suburb it would have to have a place like the Keswick. Because of the Keswick the town has become more and more interesting with better bars and restaurants than most towns its size.
The theater itself is small enough to make most seats good for looking and listening. the seats themselves are old, but comfortable. They slide out so you can Lounge but are also comfortable when you sit up straight.
Renee Reb
The Keswick is a great music venue. Small intimate with not a bad seat in the house. Great acoustics. You can tell from the inside that the owners must be working on restoring the old architecture.
ELAINE Panzeter
I may be biased, but I have a long history with the Keswick. I have seen the theater as a movie house and even a temporary home for a church! The atmosphere and sound quality of this theater is amazing! Seen several big name acts here including Todd Rundgren and Daryl Hall, yet the theater remains intimate and staff and crowd always friendly. Stage is undergoing some much needed restoration, but truly an experience that never gets old no Matter what my age!
George Taylor
This is a fairly old theater, and because of that it has some flaws. The seats are pretty tight and the cushions could use a bit of tlc. That said it's pretty active and has events constantly. Parking can be fun so try to get there early.
levavrek
Awesome small venue. People get down in there, don't be shy or reserved about dancing or whatever, people get down. Saw some reviews where people said no smoking spot, they either are wrong, or it has been added. We had no issues going out for a smoke and coming back in. If a show/artist you're interested in is there......GO!!!
Scott Bailey
This theater is great for shows. Great size, Glenside is a neat little town with some cool restaurants. The problem is that the theater itself is a dump. It's in desperate need of renovation. The ceiling over the seating area has big holes cut in it. The stage is cluttered with scaffolding and equipment. The seats are old, too small, and too squeezed together. This theater could be so much more if they would spend some money on it.
Gary Vaincoeur
Decent venue. Not a new facility but located in a nice area and the show we saw was good. Variety of acts play here. Would recommend but don't expect top quality anything from the venue itself.
Tony
Need to replace the seats but great place for a concert. Saw Lotus Land (Rush tribute band) here - great show.
OB Carter
Like the Tower theater, this is one of the Philadelphia areas, charming live venues. Unchanged, offers a wide range of live acts, in a small personal theater. Highly recommended to a show in this space, which has no bad seats. Parking can be tricky, so plan ahead.
Penny Jensen
We just saw the "celebration of David Bowie tour". It was better than I could ever have imagined. The theater was fabulous. The seats were great and the sound was awesome!!!! It was cozy and welcoming. Can't wait to go back !
Laurenda Lockwood
Loved the show tonight but would like to see a couple rows seats removed giving more space in between the rows so that entire rows of people don't have to stand up when one person has to go out or then our case, my partner is 6 foot 6 and had to stand after paying a premium price for a seat.
Chad Clauser
Great venue with some great shows. There's not a bad seat in the place. Courteous staff.
ed gallagher
Great older venue to see concerts
Elizabeth Martin
Very cool old architecture in the building - parts had seen better days but you can tell they're bringing it back to its former glory. Great view for our concert and comfortable seats.
Charlie Kreitzberg
A small venue. Built as a vaudeville theater in the 1920s. Gets some excellent acts at prices below larger venues.
Seats are a bit small and restrooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator.
Good acoustics.
James DiLeo
Not a bad place to see a show but the seats are absolutley terrible. Have been for the thirty years that i have been going there. Probably my last time going. Hope for new seats is now gone.
Bryan R.
Best small venue in the Philadelphia area. It was opened in December of 1929 and still has some of its retro feel from the past. Great staff of people willing to help customers. Judith runs this place just perfect. Only thing that needs fixing are seats , which is going to happen from what I hear. Don't miss coming here for your favorite band or show from the past. It's a very nostalgic experience. Enjoy- Peace
Brian Nielsen
The Keswick is great place to see an act, especially due to its small size and layout.
Located in the heart of downtown Keswick Village, this 1300 seat venue hosts acts ranging from comedy groups, classic rock, and occasional theater/arts performances
You feel like you're practially in the front seats even in the last row due to the opera house single-level style of seating. The seats, though somewhat narrow, have a unique recline mechanism that lets you lay back some without bothering the person in front.
The acoustics, depending on the act, equipment, and set-up are generally good.
There are not many bathrooms in the theater, and it's generally standing room only in the lobbies due to the bars and size constraints.
The biggest complaint, which isn't directly their fault is the lack of parking. There is a small lot behing the venue that charges a fee, but they do have an agreement with the Church and Funeral Home behind the ballfields to allow patrons to park for free (not a bad walk).
Joe Zuelch
Excellent place. We saw Nate Bargatze here. Great show, had a great time. Parking is a bit difficult so make sure you plan to be there early. They do have a parking facility, but it is small and fill up quickly. Plan to park at a meter, or try to find street parking on one of the surrounding streets.
William Leggieri
Nothing is perfect but just taking in a show at this venue leaves your entire evening experience short!
Take in a meal at one of the local establishments, then enjoy a stroll by the lovely neighborhood shops. It's an environment worth taking in, ENJOY!
Ella Lindenhofen
The perfect intimate venue for seeing top notch acts. I saw my favorite Kd Lang. My seat was 2nd row from the back and there was no problem seeing the stage and the sound was perfect. There is a small parking lot next to the theater behind a bank and street parking. I would suggest that you get there a few hours early if possible and guarantee yourself a good parking spot and enjoy one of the several restaurant's near the theater.
Nicholas bleeker
If an act you like is playing here you need to go, this is such a great venue to see a show. Like any concert venue the drinks at the bar are overpriced but no worse than anywhere else. The only reason its not 5 stars is a serious lack of bathrooms. The line to use the bathroom at intermission will be truly staggering.
jackie mcallister
The new Shanghai circus was great. The young men, women and kids were so flexible jumping through hoops and standing on top of each other. They kept us on the edge of our seats. The clown interacted with the audience throwing his hat. Nice that they greeted us and posed for pictures when leaving the theater.
Guinn Guinn
I love The Keswick Theater! Just saw Celebrating David Bowie there! Great night! The seating is good, it's very well kept as a historical building and the staff has always been nice. Great place for a concert or show.
Deborah Hagan
It a great small venue. The acoustics in the room are good. Only issue is the seats. They are so old and uncomfortable .
Lou Esposito
I just love this theater, and the town of Glenside PA where it is. I've performed there four times through the years and always look forward to it. The theater has great sound. It holds 1300 people, all with a good view. The outside of the theater has a Swiss Chalet look to it. The staff is wonderful. There is a parking lot behind the theater with pay stations. There are also great stores in an old fashioned layout. Lots of good restaurants also. The town it's in reminds me of the movie, It's a wonderful life. You have to see it for yourself...
Rebecca Myhre
Great shows, Very Friendly staff. Not for people with difficulty walking.
Glen Trush
Really nice night seeing Josh Gates. The wait to get in was a little too long. Very enjoyable lecture and presentation. Interesting stories and behind the scenes jokes and videos.
Tanya Sunkett
A great venue for live performances. I went to see Incognito featuring Maysa, here and the show was beyond my expectations. The parking is not the greatest but we took an Uber and it was the best decision ever.
Google User
Great place to see a show. Very quant. Not a bad seat in the house. That being said the seats in theatre need to be replaced they are not comfortable. Old sliding movie style seats from 1950s deduct 1 star. Bathrooms are inadequate. Small 1 stall handicap bathroom on first floor. Other on second floor but even this bathroom does not have enough stalls and you also have to go up huge flight of stairs to get to. Deduct 1 star. Parking is on the street and may have to park a block or two away
Kia Hamm (the happy hamm)
This older venue is very intimate and allowed for great seating/view from just about anywhere you were. I was there at night but the area seemed very quaint, which I liked. Staff was helpful, and CeeLo Green rocked it. I'd go back again.
Dottie
The theater is adorable. A touch from the past, and so charming. Please keep it open!!
The NY Bee Gees were terrific! Took me back, and we all loved it. Dancin' in the seats, and aisles!!!
"The Tramps were unreal! All original, so so neat!!
💙 A FABULOUS NIGHT. 💙
MARCELO MOSQUERA
Great medium sized spot for events. Good sound system. No bad seats. Restroom availability (not enough) is an issue especially during the events intermission.
Glasbrow
Nice place to see a show, a little old and shabby but the sound is good with nice sightlines.
derek cataldi
This is an incredible venue!
Has that antique charm yet modern day drink prices, they are expensive
Foam Rob
Always good place to see a concert
Alan Semon
A wonderful little theater just north of Philadelphia PA. It is just small enough that there really isn't a bad seat in the house. I've seen many performances here and they always had a more intimate vibe than shows I've seen at larger venues. Theater itself is a charmingly restored building and the town of Glenside is a great place to explore.
Georgia Louise W
This is a very old theater that is showing its age, but it is kept clean and the acoustics are good. I hope they eventually update the seats. They are very uncomfortable. Otherwise it's a decent theater in a quaint neighborhood.
David Pugh
Nice location for walking around before the show. Lots of little restaurants and shops. The theatre was very nice inside , seats were a little tight but comfortable, show was great it was so good that we brought tickets for 2 more shows.
mega Zuul
Please, for the love of god, renovate this place. A variety of great acts, a great location in a great town, but it looks like nothing has been done to the inside of this place in 30 years. Old cramped seats, bathrooms that just don't cut it, it's just dated and needs a major refresh. I'll be back regardless, but the idea of going out and planning on not using the restroom because of the hassle is somewhat ridiculous. Oh, and if your looking for a cheap buzz, hang out with the smokers outside, just being in the cloud will get the job done some nights.
Jake Bialas
I saw “Nathan For You” here for a Q&A and season preview. The theatre itself is nice, offering a good view from any seat. Sound was good. The only thing lacking was convenient parking but otherwise it was a good place for a speaking venue.
Steven Marcus
Great place. Felt safe. The usual one or two older drunk shouting/hooting Filthydefians. GREAT SHOW!
J Callan (Joey C)
Great single floor theater venue (no balcony, though bathrooms are located on the second floor).
Nice mid-size stage venue for music and stand-up. We were there for Adam Ant a few years ago, and we recently visited again for a comedy show. Park early if you need to park close, plan to walk a little, or take a train up (which will still mean a short walk). We got within 200m twenty minutes before a show.
Respect the Glenside establishments and residents; pay attention to driveway access and no parking signs!
Four sit-down restaurants within a mile if you want to plan dinner before a show.
Gene Ammirata
Love The Keswick, not a bad seat in the house. Free parking. Been there more times than I can count. One of my favorite venues. The Keswick bar across the street is also good and convenient. 5 stars from me!!
Robin Rosenfeld
Saw the group Renaissance for probably last time I'll be able to. They were amazing as always and this is a great venue for a concert. I'm short yet I'd be able to see from any seat.
Tamra Frederick
Although you can tell it's going through renovations, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Acoustics were great; had to get used to the seats though! You're either sitting up or slightly reclining - there was no in between haha
Mark DiPasquale
Great acoustic sound in a small venue
Robert Williford
I was there Saturday. Let me start by saying it's a great sounding room with a very nice sounding PA. The lighting and sound were very good and done by people who seemed to travel with the artist. The back of the stage is visible and not real pretty to look at. I was a little distracted by it.The lobby was clean and the drinks are reasonably priced. There were also pre-bagged popcorn and saltwater taffy available to purchase with cash or a card. I found the taffy to be an odd choice. There were also some baked goods that could only be purchased with cash . Seats and room temp were good. I will be going to see more shows there.
LisaAnn Kurtz
Love going here.... since it was a movie theater
Sharon M
We went to see the Elvis show on Aug 22nd. Show was terrific however WAY TOO LOUD. I'm 50 and I love concerts and music but WOW!!! My daughter didn't feel well so we sat in the lobby and the lady that work there was so very sweet. She asked my daughter if she was ok, and gave her a bottle of water. She truly cared.
Robert Fennell
Watched Bert Kreischer's body shots world tour show here and the show is amazing. The theater itself is a little old and outdated but nice in a historical kind-of-way. Idk who is responsible for drink prices, but damn I paid $16 for 1 beer and 1 drink for the wife. Very crowded place, not a lot of room to move around.
DJSHORTeFROMPHILLY (YurpItsMe)
Great show...my wife and I loved our early valentine's day outing.
Kim Kline
Edit: open again! Masks and proof of negative test or vaccination required.
Currently closed due to Covid, but a great venue to catch National acts. Has a small bar and food venue similar to a movie theater, minus the popcorn.. bit costly like movie theaters too. But there isn't a bad seat in the house! Currently, there is a young guy who takes his guitar and plays for tips, whom you can enjoy while having an Icecream from the ice cream parlor 2 store fronts down.. great original Icecream too!
Pat Reed
The Celtic Thunder was amazing, as always!!!! However, the venue was packed and very hot. The ladies room situation is a joke!!! You have plenty of room upstairs to expand and you should have additional facilities on thee main level for those who can't do steps. I have been a patron for decades but, it is time to make improvements. Parking should also be addressed.
Bret Faunce
Dilapidated
They should return to glory. Bring top tier artists back
Brian Flores
Bathrooms cramped and not enough for the size of the venue. Overpriced beer for the location. Security would not let you dance or get anywere near the stage. The pit is full of chairs for over priced seats insead of general admission for real concert feel. The band feeds off the audience and when you have everyone sitting down, its a real downer. Would think twice about going again.
Charlie Wellock
They have great shows here, but one of the perks of going there was all the free parking. Guess what? They just started charging to park in the lot behind the theatre. And I've also noticed recently that the security people in the theatre during shows have become increasingly dickish, giving audience members greif for taking pictures.
And are they ever going to finish repairing this place? I thought when they put fabric on the walls, it was to protect them during the rest of the repairs, but it looks like it's permanent. And the walls around the stage look like crap.
This used to be one of my favorite places to see a concert, but it's slipping down the list quickly.
Sarah Cahill
An okay performance space. Security asked me to pour out my water (they provided a replacement water bottle, I just founs it to be wasteful) and the bathroom lines were long. Seats were comfortable and egress was relatively easy. Parking in the area is a difficult on a weekend evening.
Courtney Rowan
Staple spot to see a show. We've seen so many artists play here. Incredible acoustics and always a great time. Parking is easy too, right in the residential area for free!
Erik Teichmann
A great venue with lots of great shows on the schedule. That said, the seats are super uncomfortable. And noise from the lobby can get pretty bad during shows. They should really put up a wall.
Bill Leslie
Great historic theater. Excellent concert venue. They need to start planning to replace the seats however. They were old when I worked there in the 70s.
And
I've loved every show I've seen here, most of which have been either acrobatics or live podcasts. The lot directly behind the theater isn't free but there is a lot of local street parking if you're willing to walk a little. Showing its age a little but I like the look.
Jesse Wilson
Cool, albeit old venue for live music. Routine vaccination and ID check required. Tiny seats. Otherwise good.
Glenn Cronin
Good Covid-19 protocol procedures jn place. Sound system is excellent. Seats are relatively comfortable. Parking is limited.
Andrew Meadows
Acoustics in this theater may be the best in the Philadelphia area. Great food shops around the theater. Be sure to get there early if you can for good parking and make dinner reservations if you are eating in town.
Griffin Ripley
Awesome classic venue with great touring acts and reasonable prices. Larger than you'd expect. In a great little town. The gem of its village with plenty of local support.
Natasha Hagen
The show was absolutely amazing. Great job!! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Only complaint I have is that the seats are in need of a desperate upgrade. Unless you are very skinny, you are forced to get up close and personal with the person sitting next to you.
Shyrol Hightower
The well trained and pleasant staff made entering and exiting quick and worry free. It's an old movie theater so the seating is close. They serve alcoholic beverages to my surprise and to the delight of many.
Bob Willits
We had a great experience at Keswick. I was on crutches and they went out of their way to accommodate my seating. Everyone was friendly and the sound was excellent.
Suz Lusi
Am American Celtic Christmas was amazing!
Noreen McAneny
Great show! Love the location of this theatre. Only issue is the TERRIBLE seats. Uncomfortable, narrow, some are broken and very worn. Would go to more shows, but we always conside whether we want to deal with the discomfort.
Jim Cipar
Great venue, terrible seating
Stephen Greenwood
The Theatre in itself is a wonderful venue to take in a performance the staff is courteous and the atmosphere is very personable BUT the physical seats are horrible and should be updated immediately!!! It is very hard to really appreciate the talent that comes through the doors if your not comfortable in your seat.
J Jackson
Adorable place .. great venue
Chris Szeliga
Nice room, great acoustics, they get a lot of goods acts. I would go more often, but like all too many places in the Philly area "ya can't get there from here" and the parking is a hassle.
HVFD 59
Another visit to a nice place for shows. This time it was for the band The Genesis Show, a local tribute band that specializes in recreating later tours by the band Genesis from the late 70's to the early 80's. This show was the 1982 tour with a few added songs. It included songs from the album Duke, which I hadn't heard in years. They also did In the Cage from The Lamb lies down and Suppers Ready, which the singer mentioned that this tour was the last time Genesis had played this song live. If you are a Genesis, watch for this bands shows and give them a try.
Susan Stefencavage
Awesome theater for concerts!
Chuck Harris
One of the best small venues for music that I been to in a long time.
Seen singer/song writer "Robby Krieger" Band known better as the guitarist song writer for "The Doors" . One great show in one awesome - intimate venue.
5⭐Venue
5⭐ Show
5⭐ Experience, loved it!
Michelle Durand
Nice place to see a show!!
Myself Just me
The performance was great. This place needs Renovations. The seat are to small. I only get a half a seat, because the people next to me is so big there shoulder and thigh are in my seat.
Richard Smith
Nice theater, great shows, friendly staff ....small seats
