We had a great time seeing 'Sponge Bob, The Musical." Parking was better than expected and as always the staff was friendly and helpful. The costumes were clever and fun, and the stage and directions were well done. Music was also good and sound mixing excellent. Wish it had been live orchestra, but they deserve a break too. Good job all!!!

Love the dedication of the staff and performers. Daughters and wife saw Descendants play last night. Staff let them wait inside after close and checked on them when they came outside. Thank you for keeping my family entertained and safe. Great job everyone. Always an amazing experience.

We ventured here for the first time this year to see their rendition of 'It's a Wonderful Life '. Not only was the performance amazing, the atmosphere was beautiful. We had nice seats, great service. This was a great experience.

I have been bringing my preschool classes here for the past 4 years as a part of the Drama Curriculum Infusion Project and it truly is a fantastic place. The actors are so engaging and really amazing with the kids. The Hitchcock Stage upstairs is a small and intimate setting that my students find magical no matter what play is being put on. I adore that audience interaction is encouraged, we all were part of the show and it is so much more meaningful and fun for preschool children!

I love this theater. It looks positively regal. It's laid back enough for kids but it's fancy enough to be special. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. It's most definitely worth the trip and most performances are reasonably priced.

I went to here a few years ago to see Anne Frank and it was amazing and last night I saw It's a Wonderful Life and I loved the character diversity. Now I'm planning on coming back to see The Sound of Music in June and I can't wait! I love the acting the cast does such a good job every time. The Rose just never disappoints!

We recently went with our 3 month old, 6 year old, and 11 year old. They all 3 loved it. Even dad didn't think he would enjoy it as much as he did. We saw the Disney Decedents. It was a very captivating show. The baby really loved the lights, music and the performers moving across the stage. We rented a boster seat for the 6 year old so he would be able to see. All we used as "payment" was our driver license. When the show was over we took it back to the booster seat check out and got the ID back. They had an intermission with cookies and water. If your child has allergies plan on bringing a substitute. Our 6 year old was not able to have any of the items they offered and unfortunately it was an issue.

All 3 of my little ones had a great time with their 2 teenage siblings ❤ the kids were happy that they got to go and came back excited 😁 they told me all about it but their was things that the place could improve on. They only have children plays, a suggestion is they can add some other teen plays or pre teen plays, maybe even some for the adults so other people can enjoy and I bet more older kids would come twice as much as youngns.

We have taken our son when younger, and his family now to shows here and always loved it. The grandchildren adore the shows. They put on wonderful productions that everyone can enjoy. We have been members of the Rose Theater for many years now. What a beautiful older theater. The remodeling a few years ago has really brought back its glory.

Went to the Doll Maker's Gift! It was fabulous! Maybe a little old for young children but VERY interesting and the acting by the main actors was incredible!!! 😍 Love the plays at the Rose, but in my opinion, this was one of the best! Many plays are done with wonderful acting, staging, and worth bringing your family to. Have absolutely nothing negative to say about this wonderful theater! 💕

First time experiencing the Rose Theater and it was a blast took my family there to watch The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Parking is very convenient, the theater is easy to get into and the staff are efficient. The show was very well produced and my daughter (2) really enjoyed. We all left very happy.

Beautiful architecture, great design on the stage props! We went to see the production of Matilda the Musical. It was very nicely done, and the actors were all fantastic!! The theater is easy to move through. Not too big, not too small. Would love to come again soon!

Visited The Rose for the first time for a backstage tour. Absolutely beautiful theater and the history lesson of the theater was very informative and well given. Our tour guide answered every question we threw at her and was entertaining. A great place that does a lot for the community!

Went to see Elf with the family. The seats are a little small for bigger guys like me but not so bad that it's a deal breaker. The cast was amazing and while it wasn't the movie to a T like some seemed to expect it have great nods while being it's own thing. The Rose is a great place to bring the whole family and get them involved in theater.

Great for all ages the atmosphere created in the theater this excellent. The performances they offer are great for the community. A great place for children to enjoy themselves and learn about the theater. I recommend visiting this establishment at least once. I hold it in the highest regards. One of the greatest places Omaha has to offer. A perfect family experience that won't disappoint.

We had so much fun seeing Judy Moody on a Sunday! Last performance for this show and it was really good. My 11 year old is asking about the next play! Great experience and I love that parking is free on Sundays downtown.

Great children's theater. Wonderful place to introduce kids to theater. If they get excited and talk during performance or try to talk to characters, no one chastises them. Performances are generally very entertaining. They offer plays that appeal to different age groups.

The production was colorful, and the actors did a great job with what they had to work with but the show dragged on, I think trying to extend Dragons Love Tacos to 45 minutes was too much of a stretch. The pacing of the scenes was not great, but my kids enjoyed it, and the experience of the theater. That's the most important thing, really.

One our favorite family activities is to see the fantastic children's shows performed here at the Rose Theater. Each season offers a well-rounded lineup of shows that cater to our youngest family members (1 year) and yet continue to entertain are 'big' boys who are 6 now.

Great place for children and families to go, offering plays and musicals for preschool and up. I have gone several times. Some tips: I recommend calling the box office to reserve your tickets, though that process does leave you at the mercy of their hours (roughly standard business hours--still can be frustrating to keep calling to get to someone to get your tickets reserved). They do offer free booster seats and will let you know where to park (garage parking). Get there early as it is open seating (not reserved), so where you sit depends on how close to the front of the line you are. Still they put on great shows and we plan on going back in the future.

I spent the day with third-graders who were given a field trip. It included a backstage tour, a Rose staff member who was dedicated to each classroom group, imagination, design, casting, rehearsal, and performing for the other groups! My old knees didn't enjoy all the trips up and down stairs, but that's the only drawback to the experience. This is an educational event, and doesn't include a performance of the current production. They do get to see the stage during their tour.

Thier coordinators don't know how to treat thier guests especially when they are children went for Peter kiewits field trip with boys and girls club...we were the first group to get called down and then got lectured for coming down and everyone got loaded while we had to wait tucked in a stairwell. Besides that the show was great!

My family watched the Christmas story here during the holidays and it was HILARIOUS! The kid actors are so talented! The play was spot on with the book. We had a really nice time, well, I've always had a nice time here since I've been going since I was in elementary school. One thing that they do that I found suprising is costume rental. For my creative team at church we wanted to do something with costumes and this would have been perfect. The only thing was that they didn't have the specific costume we were looking for.

We saw Newsies here tonight and a few years ago saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Both were fantastic. Our kids are teens now, but we find the Rose is a much more affordable way to see shows than the Orpheum. Many of their basic productions are geared toward younger kids. I love how at the end some of the cast comes out to answer questions that people have. They also sign autographs. Great family option. I thought no they also have acting classes and camps.

Rose is a beautiful theater. Took two granddaughters to see Winnie the Pooh. 5 year old's review (she has gone to several plays): "It was not very entertaining". 3 1/2 year old's review " I liked it" but "it was too long".
