Love these beautiful old theaters. Saw ZZ Top here and had great seats in the second tier. Sound was as good as the visual details of the venue. Just can't say enough and hope yo see another show there at some point. Would be worth walking through on a tour.
Brenda N
Beautiful venue and the staff were very friendly. It would have been nice to have some parking info online, instead we parked a block away in a dark lot. Costs of drinks were what we would have expected $4.00 for water, $5.00 for a soda. At the end of the show the stairs were split in order for the parking ramp visitors to go there and the rest of on the other side to go down. We would love to go back for another show!
Claire Bina
What a wonderful experience. The art deco theater is one of the most beautiful I've seen. It's worth it for the chandeliers alone let alone the show.
Karma Izzabish Sigers
I came here to see Suor Angelica. It was my very first opera. Everything was insanely beautiful! One would need to take out a loan to get a soda or candy. Other than that it was beautiful. I ran into an old acquaintance, Quionez Berry whom was doing a great job at security and greeting the guest with a very welcoming smile. The ambiance was gorgeous and overall the VIP treatment was amazingly awesome. Ty all for the experience.
Vivian Clark
Oh. What a beautiful venue and the acoustics were better than most theaters in which I have seen shows. The show made me laugh and cry and marvel at the singing and dancing. I would go to see it again.
Brandon Redding
A beautiful venue with history and class! Great staff to help you find your seat, clean, elegant, yet the sound system is as dirty as you'd love it to be. GREAT SOUND!!! a night to remember for sure.
Justin Idle
A historic and beautiful theater in an awesome part of town. We’ve enjoyed several shows here over the years and it’s always a treat! I feel like I’m time traveling when I enter this beautiful building.
Terrance Shuman
This was the second time I have seen Joe Bonamassa and his band perform live at the Orpheum (13th time overall), and it was again a great show and a great time. This place is one of those classic old-school theater venues that Joe thrives in!
Wyatt Jamvold
Went there to see the k~love Christmas tour 2022 and the theater wasn’t that bad. The seating was great. The service is great too. Next time one of my favorite singers or bands comes. I will have to come back. Also got to say probably my favorite concert I’ve seen in a theater.
Stephen Brown
Saw ZZ Top here and it was a great experience! Multiple parking options within a block or two, easy access, no bad seats in the house. Nothing to complain about really. It's an older venue so don't expect state of the art amenities.
Rachel Ewell
Beautiful historic theater in a great area of downtown Omaha. Very organized and easy to get in and out of. Definitely recommend parking in the Wells Fargo ramp across the street and using the skyway during the cold weather months.
Carmelle Armstrong
The seating is fairly good - the venue is beautiful and not huge so you feel like the stage is close. Bathrooms are nice. Staff is pleasant. Sound system is good. Easy venue to park and walk to. Lines move quickly. Great experience. Far better in every way than my hometown venue (Music Hall KC).
Kristine Stirn
Love seeing shows at the Orpheum! So much history in the building! And such beautiful architecture!
Henry Anderson
Great place to see concerts really good acoustics only downside was my seat great view poor leg room. Seat balcony row A seat 6 no leg room the whole row is like this maybe you ought to extend the rail wall out to make more room! I have had both knees replaced and couldn't fold down the seat to sit comfortable so sat on top with out folding down the seat.
Gary Baumert
Marvelous old time theater
Built in 1927 still has the charm of bygone eras. Great views and sound. Great Mannheim Steamroller concert.
Karma Stern
Is this my Pretty woman happily ever after? I never thought I'd be a person who enjoyed the Opera. However it was beyond amazing and beautiful and I can't wait to go back again.
Leena Gray
Very beautiful place however corridors are a bit narrow and cramped for a full crowd and bathrooms hard to get to during intermission. Seating is also cramped and I have very short legs and thought the leg room to seat in front of me was cramped.
Paige Xandria
The building itself is absolutely beautiful. The acoustics on the theater were fantastic. The staff was very professional and helpful. The bathrooms were clean. The location is amazing. Our seats were almost perfect. I will definitely be visiting again.

Always great to see concerts there, it's a beautiful downtown theater harkening back to bygone eras, but retains the class. I look forward to seeing To Kill A Mockingbird there this weekend. Aaron is great bartender, staff is helpful. Not a bad seat in the house.
Jonathan Frazier
The Orpheum is always such a great place to visit. I always enjoy seeing any show there. The staff always do their best to help find correct seating. The entire building is beautiful and I always find myself looking around at the architecture before a show begins.
Mona Jones
Les Miserable with my (emergency date) youngest son. Perfect activity for a cold March evening! The theater is beautiful, staff and volunteers welcoming and helpful. You may now enjoy fresh fruit and alcohol during the performance!
People, for the sake of everything that I hold holy in my heart, I beg of you: No jeans or pajamas pants!!! This is not Walmart.
Jen Montoya
We wanted to give our grandchildren a night they would never forget. A night at the Orpheum watching the nutcracker was perfect. I cant wait to do something like this again.
Mary Fields
My son will be singing Stars at a state competition soon. He was so excited to see Les Miserables before his competition.
L.A. Clemens
My husband suprised me with Shen Yun tickets. It is not something we are usually able to attend.
The entire experience we ruined by an attendant constantly walking on front of our view. My husband finally got up and asked her to stop. I would really love to see the show again without that distraction but the tickets are too expensive.
Joe amd Penny Tramontozzi
Parking was an absolute joke. Had to wait 1 hr & 15 mins to get into the parking garage, once we arrived at the thearter causing us to miss the start of the show!!
Great sound...usher sat us in the wrong seat!! Corrected at intermission.
Will NEVER return and will inform all friends and acquaintances of our horrible experience.
Zac Tenneboe
I had the wonderful opportunity to see Wicked in this beautiful theatre. What an incredible experience! The staff was extremely friendly. I was seated in the Grand Tier and even that was a nice view. Parking wasn’t bad at all. There’s a parking garage only a couple blocks away that was only $6! No complaints! There was great acoustics as well for the musical. I’d highly recommend seeing a show here.
Sherrianne Connelly
Beautiful vintage theater. Everything is way over priced at the snack bar. But I suppose at these events that's expected. 3 dollars for a bottle of pop.$5 for a cup of a few grapes some cubes of cheese and two packs of crackers. Or 7 dollars for a cup of chocolate covered nuts. Oh well we paid it. It was 100 degrees outside and after walking up from our parking spot we dying of thurst.
We got to our seats after like 5 flights of stairs and seats are comfortable. Do not sit in front row of the balcony if you have legs. Not even long legs I'm only 5' 3". When I sat down my legs were tucked under the seat and I actually sat on them!. Looked at the rows behind us much more leg room.
Jocelyn Owens
Went to see Rock of Ages March 2019, great show! Love the new seating since the latest renovations, so much more comfortable! Saw Phantom of the Opera February 2008, The Orpheum never disappoints. They are such a wonderful venue with amazing shows and great, helpful and super nice staff! I look forward to seeing more at the Orpheum!
Shannon Flynn
Beautiful theater restored to its former glory. While the seats are close together and offer very little leg room, it's difficult not to appreciate the history and grandeur of this local gem.
Erick Matzke
Wonderful performance of the nutcracker.
Wonderful production of the Fiddler on the roof
Suor Angelica was incredible
Tim Kimball
Great place, beautiful building, great shows. Love to go there whenever we have the opportunity.
Nyssa Mother of Voids
The sound is amazing, there's plenty of leg room in the orchestra seats, and the shows are wonderful. Being downtown, there is plenty of parking within walking distance and great places to eat after or before a show. The crew running security, tickets, and sales and kind and considerate. Plenty of waiting room in the venue to avoid long lines forming outside.
For PokemonGo players, the Orpheum is a gym.
Sara Incontro
I love going here and getting lost in the shows. The Orpheum has continued to bring Broadway to our beautiful home town. I'm glad I bought season tickets this year so I was able to see so many different kind of shows. This theater also brings a little nostalgia as my late father worked Stage hand here for many years.
Really the only bad thing I can say is lack of leg room with cramped seating.
Susan Karels
Excited for the show. A year ago our HS performed the Student Edition.
Tim H
I helped load in Hamilton recently and I got to say that place is beautiful from top to bottom. Behind the glitz and glamour of the beautiful accouterments adorning every surface, the chandeliers.... behind this all is history.
The building has been renovated a couple times through the years and yet the bones remain. There are little gems backstage everywhere with no place more littered with history than the projection booth. I left below a photo of one of the oldest notations I've found anywhere, the message left behind by the projectionist who showed the first "talkie" ever shown at the Orpheum in Omaha.
Amazing
Griffin Meeks
Support the fine arts. I've seen many musicals, operas, and concerts here. Thank you for bringing more life to Omaha!
Jess
Beautiful venue.
Not sure if the plastic cups with lids were mandated by the artist or venue but white claw in a plastic cup is not good.
Veronica Owens
Loved the show! And the staff is AMAZING! I wish I knew names because I can't wait until I can come back and see those friendly faces!
Kandi Johnson
Stunning historic theater! Just beautiful!
Georgios Fotopoulos
Amazing place and really well preserved.
Nicole Bekker
I really, really like the Orpheum and have seen about half a dozen shows there. I do wish the sound was a bit louder in the upper gallery levels, but that's a good enough reason to buy tickets closer to the stage.
sheila luntz
What a class act I'm telling you this musical is bar none the very best I've ever seen anywhere. The staff was very helpful and accommodating getting us to our seats, the show went on without a hitch it was wonderful it was absolutely outstanding the choreography could not have been more on point and the actors knew their lines and had such great camaraderie on stage as well
Chase Hardin
I went here while seeing Gary Clark Jr. The venue is beautiful on the inside and the staff is extremely helpful. They made sure everyone could find their seats and navigate the venue. The parking around Orpheum was also extremely convenient assuming you’re okay with spending $10.
Sarah Hedrick
I saw Les Miserable with my best friend last night and it was amazing! The seating in the balcony area is a little bit cramped, and there was a rude older gentleman that decided he needed to talk through the entire show, but other than those few things the show itself was amazing. The ushers were very nice and helpful. The actors were spot on. I very much appreciate everyone and everything that they do that this theater! Thank you for another amazing play Orpheum!!
Judy Souder
The musical Les Miserables is the greatest! The parking system is so slow that we were late getting in and and had to watch the first 15 minutes on a TV, very disappointing.
Tatiana Boland
Beautiful ornate theater with a wide variety of performances. Seats are snug, but better than they once were. Connected to a parking garage via skywalk and worth the money.
Paula M
Attended Annie for my birthday present. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall great experience that we will be repeating when we attend another production next year.
Sandy Baxter
Beautiful venue. The Orpheus was one of the great downtown theaters in Omaha and luckily it has been renovated and now brings live theater to Omaha
Erick Castro
Saw the Opera Elixer of Love. Great show, in a perfect venue! Love the classic, ornate look of the building. Restored and kept very well
Destinee Myres
This theater is absolutely beautiful and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. They feature shows that will appeal to many different demographics. My one and only gripe is the seating. I purchased season tickets with seats in the loge, and these seats are terrible. They are not slanted like the seats in the balconey, so it's virtually impossible to see past all the heads in front of you, especially for someone of short stature, like myself. I have no idea why this level of the theater is constructed that way, but it almost ruins the experience, and changing seats can be a challenge because it's all subject to availability.
Zach Valentine
Nice seats (a little tight). Alcohol stands are on point and abundant. Sounds is fantastic. Overall vibe is old school chill.
Michelle Haag
Fantastic evening at the Orpheum to see the musical Hamilton. It has been a few years since the last time I was in the theater but it's much as I remembered. Seats are very close with little legroom but that's to be expected in an older theater. Sound and lighting were great. They offer drinks and sugary snacks as concessions. It was a full house but surprisingly easy to get in and out despite the crowds. All in all it was a great show in a great venue.
AJJIF GLOBAL (O-Sensei Alexey Kunin)
Beautiful and historic theater, educational and cultural experience. Highly recommend to come and see the amazing shows
STINK National & World News
Excellent experience watching Bert Kreischer film his next Netflix special #RazzleDazzle
Jodi Krause
I love love love this theater. The ambiance is unreal here. If you have never seen a show here...get online and just pick 1! You will not be sorry
Joshua Ford
Seats are way too small and crowded. Especially in balcony. Beware the front row of the gallery. Completely unusable seats
Febi Oyelana
Saw Annie earlier this month
It was wonderful
Felt almost exactly like being in New York
Tammy Carlson
Love the old theater! Always great seats in the Loge!
Matt Wert
Went to the Bert Kreischer show it was amazing. The theater was cool but cramped as in the whole row had to get up if you needed in or out of your seat
Adam Ring
Absolutely an amazing venue and the staff was beyond welcoming and accommodating to my parents who were dealing with physical ailments.
brandon stauffer
I really like this theater. Comfortable. Easy to get in and out without the lines getting too long. Highly recommended. Saw Nate Bergatze there. Also highly recommended. He's the funniest!
David Moody
Great venue. I love live theater. They bring in some of the top touring shows.
Erin Ginkel
An absolutely beautiful venue! Seats are a little tight. Had multiple bars open and kept the lines moving.
Queen Bituli
Such a beautiful theater. We watched "Hamilton" here last week and had a good time. They could use more restrooms because watching everyone in line for those was heartbreaking. Why I didn't drink the entire duration of the play! ha!
Mayme Jordan
Every time I visit the Orpheum I have a world-class time. The staff is professional, the entire place is immaculate, it's always an amazing experience!
lesll
very pretty building. pretty old so the seats are cramped because people were shorter back then.
Tim Caywood
Such a beautiful place to visit went to wicked!!!
Kacey “Kacey Sell” Sell
The Orpheum is a beautiful theater. This was my first time attending an event here and it was wonderful.
Tiny Luxe Weddings
Excellent wedding venue! It's obviously gorgeous and has a lot of variety. We really enjoy the location and atmosphere as well! Perfect place for when our couples want something a little extra special!
Sheri Pettis
This is a beautiful building. I have been there twice, and I love the atmosphere. Awesome Home Free concert!!!!
Kadee Exploring
Such a beautiful place to visit. If your dying for a dress up night this is the place to do it! Staff is always friendly and efficient.
Restrooms are clean.
These is no bad seat in the house. Seating is small and legs can get cramped. But it's still worth it!
Drinks and snacks can get pricey. But I think it makes for the experience!
Lily Dotson
amazing place and great performances!
Stephanie Jensen
Although other venues in Omaha have better acoustics, a visit to the Orpheum is worth it as a step into the past. In the loge section, opera subtitles are easy to read on electronic boards, hanging down from the balcony above. There are cupholders in the seat backs, and at some shows, they allow the audience to drink in the house.
Nicholas Bohnert
Great place, great shows. If you are hunting for leg room seats the loge's are a good place to start
A P
HAMILTON was amazing at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha, NE. The facility was great, well maintained, clean, comfortable, etc. But honestly, the performance was so great, I could have enjoyed this show anywhere! Check out the set, so intricate and they used it to the fullest in every scene. Save up your dollars, buy a ticket and enjoy the artistic creation, HAMILTON from some where in the country.
GregOr Beast
Great place to experience live entertainment! Beautiful architecture, friendly & helpful staff, double pours!! Can't go wrong!!!!
Rod Bolton
I've always enjoyed events at the Orpheum in Omaha in the past but the sound during the Zach Williams concert was terrible. Too loud. Poor balance. We couldn't understand what the singers were saying. Very disappointing.
Cynthia Hennon Marino
Saw Medea tgere as part of Opera Omaha One Festival. The building is gorgeous and the acoustics were great.
Shelley Sandmaier
The Orpheum is amazing! I've been several times and enjoyed each experience. I've only ever sat on the balcony but have not had a bad view from any of those seats. The skybridge to the parking garage is a genius idea! The acoustics and general ambiance are amazing and the staff are all quite friendly and helpful. Seats are a bit cramped if you're tall though. My husband is 6'5 and his knees are basically glued to the back of the seat in front of him.
Jon Ellsworth
I'm an amateur the-ater enthusiasts at best... But I watched fiddler on the roof at this beautifully designed performance hall and boy did I enjoy it. The cast was amazing. Singing so well done. Drinks... a little pricey but just affordable enough that I still made the sacrifice. The staff guided us directly to our well placed seats with a smile and a gentle gesture. The decor elegant and tasteful with an old style feel to it. I laughed. I cried. I used the restroom during intermission. Which took an average amount of time with the large amount of people that also had to use it. I can honestly say, I would return again and see another show. Love you Orpheum Theater!
Kendria Adams
We had such an amazing time. Fun Date night with my husband it was awesome I love Annie.
Roberta Cordato
Beautiful venue. The Indigo Girls were great and my wife and I had an amazing night.
MARVIN SANDERS
Show was excellent. Seating good and comfortable. Concession are very busy.
Gina Narro
Beautiful theater. A must see.
Samuel Teal
I'm 6'2 and have a hard time sitting in the seats because of the lack of leg room. But other than that it's a really nice theater. There aren't any bad seats. Sound quality is good.
Kaden Swanson
Amazing experience here. Saw Wicked. Clean building, sanitary bathrooms, good layout. Only complaint is the seats. The seats were very uncomfortable. Thankfully the show helped me to forget all about it. Unfortunately being 6’4 made me rest my head on my knees though. Not very tall person friendly.
Blanca L-J
Beautiful ornate theater & polite staff staff.
Very much enjoyed Wicked. My complaint is the crowd. Why do some women think dressing up is wearing a hat?! Only ok if they sit against a wall, rest of us paying $200 a seat would like an unobstructed view! And men wearing baseball caps indoors are not much better!
I don't expect ball gowns but business casual would be nice.
Steven Kahrs
What a beautiful place to watch a show. The range of options for shows is fantastic!
Ryan Amys
Have seen various performances here for over 40 years. The architecture never gets old, it's beautiful
Chrystal Read
Great show! Absolutely fantastic acoustics! Great vocals! Did not disappoint! 🤩 …
Micky Kim
I think the acoustics could use a little work if you are sitting in the back (balcony). Things sound slightly muffled if you are towards the back of the theater. Watched Hamilton and had a good time! I recommend sitting in the orchestra to really get a better appreciation of what you're watching.
Lauren Coston
It was amazing to see WICKED here!! The cast was wonderful, and at some points in the songs sounded like the originals!! I LOVED my experience here!! I was glad my best friend got to experience this on her 16th birthday!! Everything in that theater is absolutely beautiful!! This was amazing!! I'm coming back to watch more musicals in the future!!!
Gina Lombardo
I love going here to watch a performance or show. We try to sit up in the box seats. The floor & most other seats are too close together. Especially with the side seats above in the loge, I believe, it's like they crammed as many as possible per row. Not even enough room for a person to get up without the whole row getting out to let the person out. Frustrating. The actual box seats were wonderful. Only 4-5 seats per row. They were larger, more comfortable seats & were spaced further apart. Now the view in those precious seats is partially obstructed by props at the stage sides. If they'd move those precious seats back, even a section or two, it would be great. Sadly, the main floor seats are too close to one another & the rows are long.
The theater is beautiful & brings so many concerts & Broadway shows each season. It has been a part of Omaha for as long as I can remember. It is always a special nite when we go to the Orpheum. The orchestra is wonderful.
Masks are "suggested" unless required by the artist or troupe at the time.
When you get your tickets online, through Ticket Omaha, they give you instructions regarding bag checks, masks, parking etc. It is so much easier to get your tickets at Ticket Omaha. The box office is only open like 30-60 minutes before a performance & no one is there unless there is a performance. You get your tickets & instructions sent to your phone 48 hours before your performance is scheduled. Piece of cake!!
Trevor J. Sandidge
A beautiful theatre that offers a phenomenal offering of shows. While they don't offer rush tickets, they do offer a ticket lottery that most people don't know about and is a great way to get high-end tickets for cheap. Will be returning!
Charissa Kenny
My friend and I saw a performance of Hamilton here. I loved the venue. The seats are small and it seemed a bit crowded but that was expected. It was Hamilton after all! Restrooms were clean and well stocked. The building is gorgeous. It really is a wonderful place to see a show. And Hamilton was amazing!
marie bryson
Loved the venue but the balcony seats are very uncomfortable because they are too close to next roll of seats in front of you no leg room
Milton Lay
Great experience!!! Great staff!!! We had good seats. We seen the play "Wicked" and it was great!!! Way better than I thought. It put a different spin on the "Wizard of OZ" story. The acting and singing was great!!! Love it!!!
HS
This place is beautiful and I love the atmosphere, friendly staff. Went to see Hamilton last night, the effects and lighting were spectacular.
Paul Warnex
Great old theater venue. Have been there several times to see the excellent Opera Omaha productions.
T H
Very nice environment. Chairs are a little uncomfortable if you are key 6ft
Max Mo
Wow. For starters, the theatre is BEAUTIFUL and spacious. Ushers are always kind, drinks are a tad pricey but worth it. Staff has done a great job of enforcing covid guidelines and the place is SPOTLESS. Been coming for years and will absolutely continue.
Jacob Harris
Amazing building in and out. Just stunning inside was a great experience and very helpful staff
Lori Pruitt-Olson
Just got back from going to Opera Omahas production of Sweeney Todd. It was FANTASTIC! Zachary James as Sweeney Todd was amazing, as was Emily Pulley as Mrs. Lovett. I was enthralled for hours.
Thank you Hal France and Susan Clement for giving this musical life and love!
Thank you to the rest of the cast!! You all were amazing!!!
BRAVO!! BRAVO!!!
Mike Davis
In town for Les Miserables, great troup and the vocals and orchestra were spot on. Seat spacing for anyone over 5' 10" sucks. Otherwise excellent.
Debi Miner
We went to Wicked and the show was great. The people helping with sitting were fabulous. I walk with a cane and they were so helpful to me. They had water and drinks and snacks. Wonderful!!
Tiffany Stoiber
Love the orpheum, and this season’s Broadway in Omaha is already fantastic. As with all older theaters, some sight lines could be better.
Ryan *Torqueman* Hammond
This review is of the theater not the act we saw.
One. The staff us rude & unhelpful! When an usher has to look to find your seat that is 30 ft from where we were!
Second. The lightning; slope of view, the size of the chairs (I am 6'4 215#) in the theater make it impossible to be present in the moment. The spotlight was directly behind us & all we saw was the acts squinting whenever they looked up.
We got to watch the top of their heads while they talked; meanwhile I saw a few people in the front row using their phones the whole time!
Maybe Omaha needs to get into the current century.
Add a screen! Anything! It was 33% empty because people know they cannot see the act.
I guess the Conagra mall will make more money...🤣🤣🤣
Finally, as for the last many many years, it is impossible to get a drink here! Not that we come here to drink, but letting a group of people do shots 10 minutes before the show that are holding up the whole line...
No customer service @ any point! They were all mad & rude.
This photo shows how bright & bleached out the entire show was!
Katherine Holding Eagle Turner
It was a great experience and the play, To Kill a Mockingbird, was awesome!
Tynale Clark
Had SOOO MUCH FUN. The show was amazing. The staff was very wonderful!!
John Danley
The Orpheum is a really neat old theater. In glad it's still going! Unfortunately that also means the seats (balcony in particular) were designed for much smaller people. I definitely do not recommend the front row of the balcony if you're over about 5' 5" or have feet larger than about size 6. I've sat on the main floor and those seats are quite comfortable, but will not sit in the balcony again.
Dee Minturn
The employees and volunteers here are always amazing and helpful. Plus, have such good humor when dealing with guests who forget to read their receipt. Always an amazing experience.
Ann Cervantes
The show Annie was great 👍 this place is beautiful in there n their staff is wonderful …
K Ingraham-Beck
Gorgeous building and amazing productions! We always love our time at the Orpheum!
Michael Aparo
Great classic venue with lots to offer! Beautiful building inside and out! Sound quality inside for music is outstanding!
Kevon Kirksey
Everyone has always been amazing when I attended shows there!!
Leasa Brandt
Love this venue!! It is a remarkable place to see artists perform. Parking is a little challenging bur other than that all seating is good.
Robert Richardson
Went to the Darci Lynne show yesterday and it was a great show. The only complaint I have is the security told everyone that we could take pictures but no flash or videos. About half way through the show they started telling us to stop or we'd be told to leave. I don't understand why the change all the sudden.
Heather Deuel
Seats were a little uncomfortable for my 6'2 hubby and I, but the Phantom of the Opera performance was amazing, the staff was very helpful, and the theater itself is gorgeous!
Carole Rodriguez
Great concert place but need some leg space we all.arent 4 ft tall knees killed by the end of the night digging into the seat in front of me
Lisa Lieth
Beautiful theater...we saw "The King and I" and it was wonderful!
Caleb C
This is a beautiful building! Have seen so many performances here and I've never been disappointed. Wonderful place to see a play, musical, or whatever you choose.
Norelec
We had an amazing time seeing Burt Kreischer and I felt the staff was above and beyond for how packed it was.
Megan Henderson
I absolutely adore the Orpheun Theater. Everytime I am there the staff are super friendly and helpful, parking in the garage across the street isn't horrible, and the actual theater is just beautiful. Top venue in Omaha!
diana hilton
Seats are way too small, and the rows are so narrow that my knees touch the seat in front of me.
Alvin Lugod
One night of Queen was awesome! My family enjoyed the show! Thanks for taking the time to take people's minds away from this epidemic we're having!
Brad Mueller
Went for the Bert Kreisher show.. couldn't hear the first 2 comedians, thankfully someone yelled it out!
Kristi Hardwick
I love coming to the Orpheum. They bring in all kinds of great shows - it's easy to find something that works for everyone. I especially love bringing my kids!
Brook McCurdy
Beautiful building, rich history, and the staff are so kind
Emilee Nelson
We watched Hamilton and it was amazing! One of the best experiences of my life.
Ashwin
Parking was easy. The main auditorium was excellent. The reason for 3 stars is the rest room situation. It is poor to say the least. The lines are crazy long especially for the women's restroom. The 15 min interval is not enough for everyone to use the restrooms and return to their seats.
Stefanie Williamson
We love this place.
It is beautiful and amazing..
Milton Lay
We went there to see the play "Wicked". It was great! The seats we had were not too bad. I would love to go see another play there in the future!!!
Jennifer Wilson
Love to see shows at the Orpheum. My main complaint would be needing more women's restrooms, and that the seats are so low to the ground it is a major squat to get in and out of your seat during the show. As a result, I always have to get a handicap accessible seat for my parents because it is just too difficult to get in and out of the seats.
Austin Burke
Manheim steamrollers 40 years consecutively I've been 12 times it's fantastic.
Daniel Luethke
Such a beautiful theater! I wish the bathroom scenario could have an easy work around, but otherwise it's a fantastic experience every time!
Darlene Schram
It is such a beautiful theater. The docents were very helpful. Also felt very secure as there was quite a few security guards around. Loved our experience.
Nolan Petersen
A superb experience seeing the opera on a late summer day. Staff was helpful despite my lateness, the seat in the balcony (while a tight fit with my legs) still had a superb view to the stage, and the sound was incredible. Looking forward to returning.
jay Golden
Although it looks and sounds great the seats have zero leg room. I am 6' and I was so uncomfortable and in from having my knees mashed by the seat in front of me, I couldn't enjoy the performance. I give the cast of Hamilton 5 stars and the venue 1 star
V Marie
Went and saw how to kill a mockingbird. Very good show
jennifer jones
All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. The building was very well kept, clean and organized. The performance was one of the best I've ever seen in my life (Hamilton = Incredible). Bravo Orpheum Theater, bravo!!
Jada
Great experience. Helpful workers and clean place.
Charles Harvey
Dance recital. Balcony seats don't have enough knee and leg space. Very difficult to get out with people sitting in the seats. Very beautiful inside.
Lee Smith
Very beautiful venue.
Michelle Crowley
I really like the performances here. The architecture and design is beautiful. Staff is helpful. I give it a four due to extremely limited bathroom facilities and during covid, bottles of water remain $4 even though fountains are closed.
Greg Leger
Architecturally the place is amazing. Fiddler on the Roof, not as good as I expected. Miking the actors I understand. But let's make their voices more normal instead of blasting the sound. The sets, OMG, flying in such large set pieces. I love that aspect. The Match makers Yiddish, so strong I missed a lot of her dialogue.
Jimm Murray
Simply a wonderful venue for musicals and plays and other special events. Any minor drawbacks are the lack of enough restrooms during the intermission of events as well as the extremely tight seating upstairs in the gallery section.
Caelyb R.
Great showing of Hades Town. Seats are really cramped though in center mezzanine.
Karl Okolotowicz
Great theater for all kind of shows. The loge seating is some of the best. The theater provides an excellent variety of shows. Overall great experience all around
Diane Grudle
What a beautiful, well run theater to see Wicked in!!! Fabulous atmosphere!!!
Jacob Meiches
Amazing show. Saw Anastasia and was beyond happy with the seats and the helpfulness of the staff was great. Will definitely go back.
Susan Eisenhauer
Hadestown at the Orpheum was a wonderful experience! Beautiful theater, fantastic seats, and a top rate performance by the cast and crew. The trombone player was AMAZING too! Definitely recommend seeing the production.
Josh Becker
Great acoustics for any kind of concert. Seats are unbearably small, and there is no leg room at all. Your knees will literally hit the seats ahead of you even if you're shorter than 6 foot.
Patric Smith
Great place. It's very historical and entertaining for all age groups.
Ben Kimball
Beautiful place to see Dream Theater in concert!
Ross Van Camp
Friendly and helpful staff
Beautiful interior
Excellent acoustics
Diane Braun
I love the atmosphere and the show was amazing
Stephanie Powers
Not a bad seat in the house! Love that they offer "prepay" for intermission to skip the lines. And shout out to the door person who told me how to find the bathroom with the shortest line LOL.
Rebecca Sundermeier
Beautiful theater. Great production
Kathryn Goins
Saw The Nutcracker, group of 13. Seating could use more leg room, but was comfortable otherwise. Ushers are friendly and helpful. Bathroom has adequate number of stalls to accommodate a full house with a 20 minute intermission.
Rebecca Hjelle
We love the Orpheum! Always a great experience!
Gay Emry
One of many times I have enjoyed performances there. Beautiful old theater. Sound system in the balcony could be improved.
Andrew Russell
We had a wonderful time Performing at this Theatre! Great space, Beautiful architecture
Dr. Kate Duncan
Beautiful facility, not a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are very good. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. They have a nice selection for food and beverages; the lines move fairly quickly. The Orpheum does a wonderful job of bringing great shows to town. I have never attended a performance that I didn't enjoy!
Laura Steffes
Orpheum is a beautiful theater that offer some excellent shows. The staff is always great and helpful. And I love the cocktail sippy cups that we can bring into the show
Rebecca Carlson
We went to our granddaughters dance recital which of course was fantastic but the staff was not very friendly. I realize that Covid has made things difficult but they could have had more patience. We have been there in the past and everything was fine so maybe it was just due to the past year and the pandemic.
Cassandra Scaggs
Very interesting theater! Ornately decorated place. Art deco style. Watched the play Wicked! A must see for anyone!
Amanda Bright
Beautiful space, great acoustics, comfy seats, excellent productions! The theater itself is gorgeous (though I wish they could get rid of the netting over the ceiling) and the bathrooms are clean. Can't wait to see another show here.
Mary Dobney
It's the 2nd time I've been there..It was a very very beautiful costume it has vibrate colors . Also the background of the film its
amazing colors to go with their theme of the each show... I was shocked how high they jump , and ladies sure are good dancer too.. They all did a wonderful job !!! I loved the show !!😊🎊🎉🎇🎆
Adam Tyma
I appreciate and enjoy the space. I do wish they would put black out curtains in front of or behind the doors to the house. This would block noise from the lobby and stop light from leaking in when people leave their seats. Something to consider.
Cas Rangel
Beautiful place and a great way to experience performing arts
C. Todd Cook
It's beautiful. The acoustics are good. The slope of the main floor is a little shallow, so if you're seated behind someone tall your view may be blocked. Otherwise it's a great venue.
Gregory Rhodes
Hamilton was unbelievable. Best I have seen. At 6 foot 3 inches and 237 lbs the seats are uncomfortable beyond belief. I understand this theater is built for smaller people a long time ago but that doesn't change my reality. I understand that the place was built in 1927 when Americans were tall
at 5 foot 9 so I understand. Beautiful building. Wish it was more comfortable for the big people. Buying a drink was almost impossible because of the lines. Using the restroom was equally difficult. The acoustics were good and the line of sight almost perfect. The theater was secondary to the show....bravo Omaha Arts. Thanks for letting me see a great show.
Michelle Fochtman
I've seen numerous shows at this beautiful and historic venue. Never a disappointment.
Mark Sullivan
Six is a MUST see!
Joe Swarts
Love going here. Had seats in galley for first time. Probably won't get anything above grand tier going forward as was hard to see stage.
D Simpson
Nice place. Excellent sound system. Building and bathrooms are clean. Drinks and eats are priced realistically versus what one could expect to pay at a live theatre.
4 stars instead of 5 because aisles are quite tight to move in and out of, and even just general sitting for myself at 6',1" athletic build, would be severally uncomfortable for anyone taller or larger body figure. Staff is friendly but a bit strict on outside food and drinks during particular venues.
jennie mcintyre
Went to see Aladdin this was a very good show. We were allowed to move seats once the performance started. It was very nice because we were to the side and moving got us more centered. This is a beautiful theater and very well maintained. They offer snacks and drinks and you can use a card or cash to pay. The snacks are a little pricey but I feel that’s expected at this kind of venue. I will definitely be coming to more plays here
Coffee&Sleep
Saw Ghost BC and it was amazing. The acoustics are incrediblethe seating perfect and the staff was great in helping everyone to where they needed to go.
Mark York
Our son had his wedding and reception here. It is a wonderful wedding & reception venue. The staff was very accommodating & the atmosphere is beautiful. Great meal & service. All around wonderful staff.
catlover gal
Saw Broadway musical, CATS! Awesome performances by cast, great atmosphere at Orpheum & excellent volunteers to help patrons as needed. Masks required at all times. Can't beat Orpheum for wonderful entertainment!
Cheryl Slama
A truly beautiful venue. I have never been disappointed with my visits here. Wicked is a must see as was Hamilton.
Growth Development
Staff is very professional. Had a mistake on the date of our tickets and they accommodated us with no inconvenience. Highly recommend for the beautiful asthetics of the building as well.
George Owings
The acoustics were amazing. The show was fantastic, the ushers were attentive and in control. I was very impressed when an usher came and asked someone to put their phone away . It was very distracting. All in all a wonderful experience. The only negative I could say, would be the seats are a bit too close together.
Mary Marget
Amazing! I've never seen a show I wasn't awed by! The theater itself is absolutely wonderful from the large chandelier to the huge tapestries. It's truly beautiful inside. The staff are able to get everyone served and seated during intermission. This is one of the best places to go for live shows!
Jamie Torrison
Ticket sellers double sold our handicap accessible seats. Sue was very helpful in accommodating us and find us different and better seats!
Brittany Dorner
One of the best places in Omaha - amazing shows in a gorgeous historical building. We are lucky to have such an iconic PAC ♥️
Bernie Pieper
Amazing venue! There's not a bad seat in the building
Charlie Litton
Grand old hall. There are other great venues in town, but nothing in Omaha compares to the regal Orpheum.
Bonnie Tippery
Show was great. I was allergic to something they used to clean with and my nose ran the whole time. It was difficult to deal with since masks were required.
Steven White
Beautiful venue. Great place to see a play, concert, etc. Need to advertise their happy hour better (runs til 7). Missing the boat there I think. Also need to add value to their "super subscriber" package to make it worth the money. Overall great experience.
Margaret LEMM
The show was wonderful, wish I could say the same for the comfort of the seating. I sat in the balacony, and if you are taller than 5'6" and weigh more than 150 pounds you are going to be very uncomfortable in these seats! Worse than airplane seats. Such a beautiful venue that hosts so many of the best shows, they really need to rethink the seating.
Kinsley Shoup
This place is so cool. The architecture is amazing, the acoustics are great, and they host some awesome shows.
Elena Tedder
The theater itself is gorgeous, the attendants were courteous and helpful, and the actors doing Hamilton were amazing. The lighting effects in particular were extremely well used!
Melissa
It's a lovely theater, but it most certainly is not in any way handicapped accessible. And their senior citizen volunteers, while very nice, can't be counted on for directions around the theater. We ended up in the nosebleed seats when we should have been in the loge. Quite a difference in experience, and too difficult to change to the correct seats with my mobility impairment.
Sandee Kelley
Went to see Wicked the musical which.was awesome! The staff were friendly but expect long lines for the restrooms during intermission.
Laura Denton
Saw the Phantom of the Opera today. It was fantastic. This was a play I really never thought I would ever get to see, but was one I have always desired to see. I thought that the ones that helped us to our seats were great. I found out that they are all volunteers. There pay is getting to see the show! They do a wonderful job, seem to really care and gets everyone in and settled pretty quickly both before the show and during intermission. And of course you are in such a lovely building, how can you not just smile.
Alex Jorgenson
Super cool venue for a comedy show!
Laura
Took my son to see Paw Patrol live and it was awesome!! He loved it and had so much fun!! The only things I don't like about this place is there's no decent parking and it's not free, the concession prices are outrageous, and the elevator is super slow. Otherwise it's a beautiful venue and the staff are super nice and helpful.
Edward Keener
I love coming to the Orpheum and seeing all the different types of performances. I love the historical aspect of the building and the history behind it. The seats are a little small and closely packed together but that is to be expected in a building as old as this. All of the workers and volunteers make this place shine on performance nights. They get a fantastic slate of shows through the year too.
Scott Meyer
Nice venue has great shows going on. Only problem with the venue is the bathroom sizes too small for the number of make sure you get to the bathroom during intermission quickly. Also recommend taking advantage of pre-ordering your drinks before the show starts for intermission.
Deanna Arnold
Security check is fast so make sure you have your tickets or mobile app ready. Beautiful place inside
Felicia Davis - Stewart Davis-Stewart
Nice for concerts and plays and meeting old friends
Jill Kreikemeier
It is always a treat to go to the theater! The operas, musicals, and touring groups that perform here are always top notch. Take extra time to look at the beautiful architecture and decor!
Jason Winn
Saw Phantom Of The Opera today and it was amazing. It was my first time going to a play. I was very much impressed with the set, the show flowed from scene to scene flawlessly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the seats were small and the rows were very close to each other, there was absolutely no room for someone to walk in front of you.
M. Scott Lassiter
This is an amazing theater with a ton of history! We went and saw a production of Wicked from the Loge level. I love the architecture of the building, and there are a ton of good restaurants within walking distance for before or after your show. My only complaint is the seats are spaced very close together. I've ridden economy on airlines and had more leg room. Still though, I loved the ambiance and it won't stop me from coming back here for more shows in the future!
Lucretia Hall
The Orpheum is such a beautiful theater ,I was in the balcony and the stage was very viewable. Masks are required and seating is spaced. Overall a wonderful night out at the theater.
ydnarb royeb
Saw Hamilton thru the ticket lottery and loved it the aritecture is buitiful. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is cost (normal prices are just out of my bugits price range) and seats ( if you are a person of any significant size be ready to be uncomfortable. I am a 24 waist and had to sit at an angle or hurt my hips the seat is so small( it is wierd chair size carries seat to seat)) even with those factors if they start to do more ticket lotteries I will be back
Joseph Oye
Great performance. But mask rules were painful. Could use a little food at the concessions. They sell you a beverage but you have to try and drink it with a mask on.
Brad Wallick
A very beautiful theater with many of the original stylings and designs. The hallways and lobby are well cared for and kept up. We went and saw Hamilton and were up near the top. A bit far away but we could still see and hear everything just fine and it was a quality show. Only downside is that the leg room is a bit restricted, especially if you're taller (I'm 6'0"). But that's pretty common in a theater this old. I'll definitely be back again, it's nice that we can enjoy the quality Broadway shows here in Omaha.
Laurie Ayers
Stage is good. Acoustics great. If you are taller than 5' 5" and weigh more than 150lbs, the seating is going to be very tight. Sitting in 1st row balcony, knees were pressed up against the divider in front of me. Barely wiggle room.
Rosanne Marie
Days the masking. That was not in force when we bought tickets, if it had been, we wouldn't have purchased tickets!
Echo
Absolutely beautiful as always, the atmosphere captures the true feelings of theater. I’ve gone to several shows before, and I know I’ll go again.
Nichol Niles-Wright
Took my 12.5 year old daughter to see Hamilton. It was her first show and it did not disappoint at all!! Cannot wait to bring her back in March for Mean Girls!
Michael Selman
Darci Lynn's 1st show in Omaha was awesome. Great show from start to finish. The 3 of us had a fabulous time. 💕 …
Mary Langmaack
We are lucky to have the Orpheum in Omaha. Home Free puts on an awesome show.
Katie Brown
This is one of the most beautiful places to get married in Omaha! The building is so versatile and gorgeous from corner to corner. Their staff is incredible and I could not have had a better experience each and every time I am there! Caitlin was incredibly wonderful to work with! She made the wedding day seamless.
Puppy Atwork
Not a bad seat in the house for wicked 🖤
Went twice! Smooth entrance. Could have opened doors a little earlier IMHO …
Sara Bennett
I've seen Sound of Music and Wicked here.. both shows were great! Couldn't see the stage 100% of the time at Wicked because of tall people in the row in front of me but the show was still very enjoyable. Great time! Highly recommend!
1983bartman
Nice, but seats are very old and cramped.
Gina marie
I went for the 1st time ever to see Wild Kratts with My Little One. The place was Amazing. I do recommend getting Your tickets months in advance so You can get really good seats!! I paid $60 for 2 floor seats. And We had a really great view of the stage, even from the side row!
Neal Chambers
Awesome venue, fabulous acoustics, really enjoyed seeing John Mellencamp here!
Micah Miller
Friendly staff. Good bartenders.
James
We went to the Orpheum with our kids to watch Daniel Tiger Live. It’s always a nice trip to go downtown and watch a live show at this venue. The Orpheum is just a beautiful building and you can tell that the staff truly enjoys being there and are proud to work there. The show was great and the kids loved it. We were fortunate to have center stage seats only about 10 rows back and it was a great time for the whole family. I would definitely recommend visiting the Orpheum if you have a chance and take in one of their shows. Now I can’t say that the shows themselves will be good, but the several we’ve seen there have always been enjoyable.
nicole foster
Beautiful theater.. Nice staff...it is always a great place to visit and enjoy a live show. Go as often as possible.
Richard Saalfeld
Great place to see a show, seats are a little tight in some areas, but the atmosphere can't be beat.
Ken Lantz
A beautiful piece of Omaha history! Not a bad view in the house and, with all the renovations, in pristine condition. The sound and lighting updates are perfect!
Kezzie Gaseitsiwe
We saw Hamilton today. It was great even with balcony seats we were able to easily see everything. The only problem is the bathrooms at intermission, they just need more. And truthfully you have more room in an airplane seat than you do in the seats. My knees were digging into the seats in front of us.
Traci Blezek
Wicked was Fantastic. Although the crow was tremendous the staff & volunteers were a Great help, friendly and very pleasant ❤️
kent thorne
Always enjoyed any performance that comes to Orpheum. The theater is small, but large enough to get good shows. There really isn't a bad seat there. Staff is always helpful and makes sure the crowd is moving efficiently and sometimes that means redirecting you to another area.
Mrwizard96 Games
Went to see dear evan hansen, and it was the best. The seats were comfy. One thing I would say is drinks and snacks are expensive so make sure to bring extra.
Oliver Black
Fantastic place! Nice staff with good drink and snack prices compared to other events. The performance in this case (the nutcracker) was perfectly on point with great performances, costumes, and sets. Audio also fills the whole auditorium with a full spectrum sound. My Oly complaint was there were people that were allowed in during the performance which let in a bright light Everytime the door was opponent causing a big distraction. But with everything in consideration it was fantastic. Also make sure to park in the garage in the adjacent building for parking, no need to walk in the cold! Plus it's nice pricing usually under $10 at the garage with an indoor walkway! Have fun guys! And try to dress nice!
Bill Dinger
I want to say the acoustics, staff, and production are all excellent. The show was spectacular and it really is a pretty venue.
However there are 2 big issue with this venue. For one, there are very limited bathrooms so god save you if you need to go during the intermission. Second thing is the pitch of the seats is tiny. I'm 63 and my shins were in agony the entire performance due to being shoved up against the seats in front of me. Just terrible . It might not matter if you're shorter but I cannot recommend anyone who is a bit tall attempt to actually see something here.
Kaleb Bayer
Gorgeous theater that keeps the integrity of the original historic building. I have attended a handful of shows here and would strongly recommend seeing your next performance at this beautifully preserved piece of Omaha history. The acoustics in the theater allow you to hear every aspect of the show from each different perspective and the staff was very accommodating.
Gary Kudrna
Always great venue. Wish there was a little more room in the rows and seats.
Carl Witte
I love the Orpheum. Great building. Great atmosphere. Great shows. Nice staff. Reason it isn't 5 stars? My tall wife doesn't like the seats. No knee room for her. The women's restrooms are insufficient to handle the traffic. Maybe they were not as needed when the building was designed? I would not think people have changed that much but I wasn't around to debate.
Marne Corkle Hamilton
Gorgeous architecture and the layout is very well done. Valet parking is available and is covered from the weather. The seats are very comfortable if close together. Overall lovely theater!
Sara Born
Saw Steve Martin and Martin Short ! Great venue, not a bad seat in the house. I sat in the very last row on the top center/right
Still felt close. Beautiful historic building. Full Bar.
Kevin M
Went to see Wicked which was amazing. Definitely see it if you get the chance.
As far as the Orpheum goes, definitely hit up the restroom before you get there or you're going to be standing in line a long time. For such a nice place the bathroom situation is awful.
Also I'm not sure if it's any better at floor level, but if you are over 6ft tall in the balcony, be prepared to be cramped for the whole show.
I debated giving it a 3 for how cramped I was, but the pleasant staff boosted it 1 star. Also the theater itself is beautiful.
Jacqueline Sanchez
Always a great place to watch a show. I'm a subscriber and love my seats!
Patricia Patton
We've been here a number of times for different events (concerts, comedy shows, etc.) It's a beautiful historic theater with friendly, attentive staff.
James
One of the coolest places in Omaha to go to. The ambiance really sets everything in motion for a great show. So many different areas to check out, make sure you get there early and take pictures before you go into the theatre. If you haven't been yet I highly recommend going at least once for a show. You won't regret it.
Craig Chingren-Hamann (My Tiny Shop)
Always a good show to be seen!
Roxanne Straub
My daughter and I went to Wicked last night. The Orpheum Theater is a tremendous venue. We Love the atmosphere and I appreciated the added security...bag checks at the door. There were also many people available to help patrons locate their seats.
Michael Herrington
Small yet historic. Nice bathroom upgrades. Stadium seats are comfortable but narrow in all directions.
Michael Donlan
Beautiful place to watch a musical. With a short intermission, I was barely able to get through the bathroom line, but unable to get a drink.
Maya Ravensong
Saw Shen Yun. What an incredibly beautiful theater. Wonderful show as well. The staff was fantastic.
Roni Lee
Such an amazing time today!! The cast of Phantom of the Opera did a fantastic job!!!
Heather Ewing
Wonderful and rich heritage and then add in the talent! Amazing experience. I am also disabled and require a chair. The ushers and attendant's helped clear the way to get me safely and quickly to my seat location. Very professional and helpful.
Gregg Drabek
The Orpheum is a grand old theater. It is truly an Omaha treasure. Its architecture is as ornate as some of the old world theaters of the eastern states (like the Fox theater in Atlanta) and of England (the Royal Drury comes to mind). They keep it very clean and the staff is always polite and helpful. There are few bad seats in the house. The acoustics are phenomenal. Concerts and musicals are awesome here. My only criticism is that the seats are old world too. Small and very cramped, my 6'4" frame isn't very comfortable through a 3 hour Broadway performance. Well worth the experience.
Steph Sousa
The Orpheum is one of my favorite places in Omaha. The building itself is astonishing in its detail and old school elegance. The staff and volunteers are incredibly friendly and helpful. The shows that come to the Orpheum are very diverse and most often nationally renowned. The beverages and treats are a bit pricey but when considering the cost of upkeep on such an old building, it isn't too absurd.
DOUG HOLLANDER
Beautiful place. My only complaint is with the design, you cant see the orchestra pit from most the seats in the balconies.
Nia Vassilonikolidakis
I am not from Omaha, but went to the Orpheum Theater recently to see Wicked. This theater is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It is much smaller than the theater venue I'm used to, which adds to the charm and allows them to have more customized service. I also really enjoyed their concession stands. They offered the usual beverages, but also a variety of snacks in convenient containers.
Some drawbacks to the theater were:
Parking - you basically had to find a spot on the street or pay to park in someone's lot. All were a few blocks away.
Tight - because of it's size (or like of size), the waiting and concession areas were packed with people and there was no where to stand that was good. It was really tight.
Poor Sound - I have been to a lot of plays and been to Wicked previously, and the sound was not great, which affected my enjoyment of the performance to a degree.
These are not things that would prevent me from going again, but some things to keep in mind.
Rolland Stewart
Came to see Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas tour. The show was great, but the seating here is unbearable in the grand tier. Idk how they expect anyone over 6' to sit comfortably here. Im under 6' & i literally had to sit with my legs pressed into a wall for 2 hours. If you're gonna have a 2 hour + show, you should make sure people can sit comfortably.
Bryan Holen
I love going to the Orpheum. We went to see Jersey Boys and it was outstanding. There is an issue with the sound in the balcony however. I have never been to a musical and had balcony seats before but it was very difficult to hear up there. I will probably not attend future events there unless I can get seats on the floor. For the price you pay for balcony seats you should be able to hear the musical well and that is just not the case.
Gage B
The most beautiful theater I have ever been in, a stellar venue for any show. Wonderful acoustics, fantastic production quality. Seats many but does not feel cramped.
Mark Hocking
Amazing atmosphere and plenty of staff to serve the audience. They make the odd choice of putting all their snacks in cups considering their seats completely lack cupholders, or armrests wide enough to confidently balance a cup on.
Nikki Roseberry
The theater is gorgeous, but the seats are too narrow and the rows are too close such that your knees ache by intermission, even if you aren't particularly tall. The ushers are kind and personable but they do not stop people from being on their phones unless you ask them specifically to watch for it. There is nothing worse than paying $90 or more a ticket to attend a show just to have people on their phones. Having season tickets is really nice, we have had them for Broadway for three seasons now and have really enjoyed the shows. That being said, It is extremely annoying to upgrade your tickets when you are already a season ticket holder. You have to either renew your current seat and then they call you and offer you alternative seats (you can't look at a seat map like you can when selecting your seats online) or you basically have to cancel your season tickets then buy new season tickets when it reopens, making it possible that you will end up with worse seats than you had before. They really need to figure out the upgrade system for the people who spend the most money with them, their season ticket holders. All together I have really enjoyed my experience as a season ticket holder and intend to continue, but I hope that some improvement is made over time.
ZELDA
Our, the whole school, grades K-5th and our ACP classes, children from Fontnelle Elementary Grade School went on a field trip today 11/29/21 to the Orpheum Theater to see the HIP HOP NUT CRACKER. The Children enjoyed it. They were getting into it and enter acting back, some of them were literally sitting on the edge of their seats looking. There were other schools also. I Could not take pictures, We had our hands full, a little busy keeping our kindergarteners together and in a straight line.
Kristina Olson
Love the history, architecture and atmosphere. Such a neat venue. Love seeing Opera Omaha performances here, as well as Omaha Symphony. It is a beautiful theatre and the staff are always nice.
Thomas Crowder
Just saw Wicked here and it was one of the most magical experiences I've ever had. You'll want to be sure to bring cash to park in the garage, and the seats don't leave much in the way of leg room, but other than that, the experience was perfect!
นาดี
I came to see the show here, it's very magnificent. And we will continue to watch the show.
Kent Peters
I've been coming here since I was a young lad with my mum. It's a local favorite and I'd give it five stars if it wasn't surrounded by dodgy (no pun intended) area of downtown and poor parking. The interior is Slytherin vibe which makes productions like Phantom of the Opera, etc, have that extra special dark feel. Acoustics are excellent, but if you sit anywhere but the main floor your view is likely to be less than ideal, hence the four star rating. I'd give it a 4.5 star rating if I could!
Nicole Laurito
Great venue, beautiful historic building. The people directing you around the theater and your seats could have been kinder in general but it could have been a one-off. Need more clear signage to identify the correct entrance.
Erin Cooper
The Orpheum is an absolutely beautiful theater that provides the perfect ambiance for any theatrical experience. I have had nothing but good experiences within the theater, and Omaha Performance Arts does a masterful job crafting the lineups for each season. I always look forward to the next performance!
Alfredo Lang
Awesome acoustics. Balcony seating is a bit tight but still offers a great view.
H M
Been here several times. Enjoyed the shows but find if your a tall person you will be cramped in the seats or I could see if you are a larger person it maybe uncomfortable 😣 You might want to book up by the stage where there is individual chairs. …
Suzane Winkler
We've been season ticket holders for years and our time spent here is treasured. From the fun selection of concession drinks to the amazing talent showcased, we're fortunate to have this beautiful local venue!
Rob Healy
Very ornate and beautiful theater. Loved being able to park across street at the OPPD garage and use the covered walkway that goes over the street right into the Orpheum! It was raining so it came in handy. On the downside; the seats are a little cramped. Might be a issue if you have long legs. Plus, like a lot of venues, the lines to bathrooms at intermission can get long. Enjoyed the show.
Craig James Inzana
The Orpheum is beautiful and very well organized. Even with a sold out show of Hamilton it was easy getting in and out. (The show was amazing too).
Tasha Deakins
Best place to see a play.
Go Girl Grow
Great performances & dance competitions along w/ other events are held there. Awesome mark in Omaha! Large, open venue (could be a maze) but there are signs. Has good architecture. #stayblessed I love you, awesome person reading this. 😘😊😜✌ …
John Shoemaker
Great place to see live shows.
Rhonda Hornberger
Normally, I like the Orpheum but I dreaded this performance as it was geared towards children and I had a 5 year old and 3 year old to wrangle. However, I was quite impressed with the crowd control and seamless management of thousands of young patrons (it was a PBS Kids show, target audience is 3 - 8 years old). Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and breaks were permitted outside of the usual intermission times. Somehow, the restroom lines were much shorter and ther concessions all catered to the younger clientele (gummy bears were quite delicious- more performances should benefit from this treat!). The Orpheum is a beautiful, historic theater in Omaha but it was fantastic to see the easy accommodation for the children!
Becky Hundley
This is an amazing venue!!! My fiance and I saw the Sound of Music and we loved every minute of it. The cast and Orchestra were fantastic! Our seats were in the orchestra section and I think those are my favorite seats.
Michele Michaelsen
We love the Orpheum. The productions are always fabulous. Our only complaint is the terrible seating. If you are tall you have practically no knee room in the loge or grand tier. It's hard to enjoy the show when you are uncomfortable or in pain.
Maurene Roesler
The show was amazing! I am puzzled though, I had googled to see if water bottles were allowed before leaving home. Bottles with lids and snacks were ok according to the site and yet I was told to throw my water bottle away before entering. Just a bit confused.
kl bristow
Very friendly and helpful staff from soda sellers to elevator operator. Big Lights around strage too bright when they flashed before and during the show. Beautiful facility, well kept
Xavier Ringo
The Omaha Orpheum is an absolutely amazing theater with everything you can ask for. There is plenty of parking near the venue, and it is very easy to access downtown. Inside, the staff are incredibly helpful and kind. The architecture inside is amazing, dating back to the early 20th century. There are a variety of shows for all ages, recently including Hamilton, Paw Patrol, Dear Evan Hansen (in 2020), among others. Overall, an amazing place to experience theater and art!
Gail Granger
Seeing HAMILTON on stage was the BEST experience I've had in a long time. It is a must to see again given the opportunity. 5⭐ plus!!
Darrol Tribbie
We went and seen Home Free here. This was our first time to the Orpheum Theator the staff was excellent on gettingbus to our seats and making sure my wifes wheelchair was safe and convenient to get to when we got ready to leave. The acoustics were great and we had a good time. Will be back for another concert.

The Orpheum Theatre is an gem in the heart of Omaha. I could spend hours here just admiring the architecture. I highly recommend heading downtown early to grab dinner and drinks before the show. There are a number of great restaurants and bars within a few blocks of the theatre. Between downtown and the nearby Blackstone District you never have to go to the same place twice.
Acacia Angelo
There really is not a bad spot in this theater. There a lot of phenomenal productions that are brought here, and the security lines are fast. The parking is easily accessible, but be prepared for a nightmare trying to get out of the parking ramp if you are impatient.
Tony Vacanti
Was here for a dance recital for my nieces. Very artistic/nice looking building and the recital was ran superbly.
Unfortunately when my wife (expecting mother) asked if they had 'water', whether bottled or from a fountain, they didn't have either and told her she'd have to walk blocks away to get it from a convenience store. It was 120 degrees with heat index that day. I don't know how this can even be legal...
John Bohlmann
I'm a big guy! I was able to sit. It was not that comfortable at that time. But I am dropped weight I could fit in the chair possibly much better now. I did enjoy the performance. Beautiful inside all over the place!
Erik Estrada
Best place ever man! It has the best acoustics, and the best seats you can get! Been going there for a while now, and it is the best place to go! Very nice staff, and very friendly there. It has a great vibe. Very proper too, it's nice!
Kyle B.
Neat old theater in downtown Omaha. Big city feel in great location. Close to lots of nice dining and hotels. Parking is as expected, but not impossible to find very reasonably priced and a few blocks walk.
I've been here for several musicals, all were very well done!! Aladdin, Something Rotten, Phantom of the Opera, and Jersey Boys.
Annalisa Mena
Beautiful theatre I visited while in Omaha. Good sound for singing and smooth jazz...
JoAnn Hausman
Nice afternoon of entertainment. Liked the new way they managed the bathrooms during intermission. Entertainment was well present as well.
kevin tranmer
Wonderful experience! Les Miserables with the family. No bad seats, sound is great. Not too bad getting in and out of parking. Good time for all age of family.
Megan Ackerman
What a beautiful place. Just a wished it was easier to get from dressing room to stage. Can get confusing backstage. Staff here is amazing very helpful as well.
Jason Eager
The theater was incredible and so ornament on the inside.
Amy Hugie
The Nutcracker was a wonderful rendition. Shorter than many but so easy to follow the story. The theater could use a little more leg room but I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.
Jennifer Foster
Always a great show. Finding Neverland was wonderfully done and preformed. We went on kids night and the had such great activities for the kids. Balcony seats are always a little tight, but we could see perfectly.
Steve Van Hoosen (Van Hoosen Video)
Always a great place to catch some entertainment!
J Wheeler
Beautiful architecture and a comfortable venue
Emily Ernst
Came here to see Wicked for the first time and it was spectacular!! Beautiful theater, I love coming here!
LaHala Cunningham
The Orpheum is a sight to behold. Truly beautiful. The concert we saw was John Prine. He gave an outstanding performance and although the crowd was obviously enthusiastic, everyone was respectful and courteous. There is no better place to see any performance. Beautiful, comfortable, and someone to help you in any way. Don't pass up an opportunity to get to the Orpheum.
Richard “Dick” Kreikemeier
Great show seen Bert Kreisher
Chad P
Beautiful place that's an epicenter of culture in Omaha.
Jennifer Hansen
Beautiful historic building great show. Get to the bathrooms quickly or you'll be waiting
Marc Fritz
Impressive performing arts center! We attended Wicked and truly enjoyed the experience
Black Mild
Great experience everytime we go. Always an amazing date night.
Michael Jareo
Love this theatre, the venue is beautiful and I'm pretty sure there isn't a bad seat in the house, so even if your budget puts you a bit further up, you still have a great experience!
William Reisdorff
The Tedeschi Trucks band show was fantastic! The sound was perfect. It was a great time.
Allison Brown-Corson
Wonderful beautiful venue. All the productions there are world class.
Kim Frank
This is a 5-star, beautiful venue. I'm knocking it down to average, just because one of the ushers really tarnished our experience at Hamilton. For the price of these tickets, you would think the employees of the venue would be a little more mindful of the level of noise they create that may be interfering with the audience experience. She loudly crinkled and rattled a bag of snacks through 4 whole songs of the 1st act and we were shocked that the rattling started up again in act II. So rude! We were wondering when she would reach the bottom of that bag and stop the racket. Seriously, eat something before the show if you think you are going to die without food for a couple hours. Or bring it in some tupperware. It doesn't rattle. VERY disappointed.
Sara Moser
I have a scooter due to foot surgery and the staff was so accommodating and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!!
Dave Holsapple
The Kansas concert was excellent, the sound was great, the venue is gorgeous it has a feel and look of the Roaring 30s, but please do something with that elevator I think grass grows quicker than the elevator, it is so slow.
Kat Wolf
Historic and beautiful. No matter the performance one is taking in, it's sure to be an experience at the Orpheum. Staff are friendly and helpful. We go mostly for Opera Omaha, and have always had an amazing time.
Andy Murray
That was the best celtic women concert ever, I hope they come back again
mrk l092
My kid even liked the ballet lol Had a great time pretty place service was good and nice staff we will be back
Rosemarie Onderdonk
The play that went wrong was hysterical! However, I paid for seating in row B and there were tall people in tall chairs sitting in the Orchestra area. I missed anything that was happening on the settee, which was pretty much the focal point. I do not appreciate the Orpheum doing this!!!!!!!
Teri Clark
Love the Broadway shows.
Thomas Meola
Good theater. I was there for a recital. Staff was reserving seats and forcing people to move. Became confrontational after again requiring people to move. Probably very frustrating dealing with people but there was NOWHERE to sit and tickets where being sold. Eventually staff relented seeing there was no option. Probably owed somebody an apology.
PJ S
Beautiful theater. Not my first time here. Watched Hamilton here a few days ago and loved it. <3
Dana Hendricks
Beautiful theater, well maintained and always a friendly staff. Have been to plays, musicals, ballets, and dance competitions here, and always love going. They don't make them like this anymore.
Matt
Only 1 problem. No leg room in the upper balcony. I am only 5'7'' and could not sit in the 1st row of the upper balcony. Other than that, this place is awesome! I love seeing concerts at this venue.
Kelly Mccann
Beautiful theater to enhance amazing performances. Good view and sound from every seat - even in the highest balcony you still connect with the stage.
Kimberly Kubes
The ceiling was very pretty and the show was great, but it's like a maze in there. Parking is scarce. My margarita was horrible. Not enough snack choices.
James Watkins
Great venue for concerts!
Shawn Cassidy
I'm a big guy and am able to sit comfortably in the seats. I find sippy cups of wine and mixed drinks a brilliant idea. The only real downside to the Orpheum is the restroom lines at intermission.
Marie L
Fun old building with some good moulding. I also like how bathrooms are updated and there are many so it goes quickly at intermission. Parking was not so much fun but shows at night probably have better parking.
Mark Schaffart
Doobie Brothers concert was excellent Seats have little-to-no legroom. beautiful theater, but have to remember it was built in the early 1900s. People were shorter than.
JEFF PETERS
A fantastic venue of early 20th century charm. The Orpheus Theater was restored to its grand stature and serves as a premier showcase for the city’s arts and entertainment. Broadway plays, musical acts, comedy shows, everything seems enhanced by the ornate setting.
Monty Vogel
Such a great array of shows this year so far. I'm loving it!
Amy Upchurch
Absolutely thrilling, historic, good-sized performance hall with class acts. If you have never been to a show here you have really missed out. It is pricey and worth it.
KaeLynn Adrian
We went to see Hamilton: an American Musical and the show was good and the theater was beautiful. The only thing i could say badly was the seats, they wern't the most comfortable.
Liz Gac
Wonderful acoustics and decor. A bit stingy on drink prices
Mark Davidson
Great Experience
Everyone was so helpful
hannah
The Orpheum is an absolute gem in Omaha. I have been to lots of shows here. Ballets, musicals, folk singers, soul, etc. Each time the venue amplifies the beauty of the performance. The high ceilings, intricate gold details, giant chandeliers, large stage, and more make it a magical visit. They sell drinks and snacks!
Todd Smolen
Beautiful ancient french theater to watch 2019 Shen Yun as Chinese dance and play. This is my first time see the show and the place. I do enjoy so much last night.
Danny Wehmeyer
Very nice older theater the rows are to close no leg room to speak of easy access from parking garage
Jorden Brooks
Saw Aladdin it was great snacks were decent
Jon Rhoads
Watched shen Yun it was amazing the theater was lovely but a little disorienting and gives you a little bit of vertigo in the theater but other than that it was an amazing experience
HB Wooten
What can I say a Phantom of the Opera is one of Best plays I have ever seen all of the performers in stage hands were excellent If you ever get the opportunity no matter where they are playing I would highly recommend seeing their performance
Kevin Knudson
Famous theater, really appreciate the quality of the sound. Hamilton was incredible. Beautiful architecture.
Mark S
Very happy to have visited the Omaha Theater.
micah booth
Exceptional place and wonderful staff!
bsizemore86
Place itself is great, but the regular seats are extremely cramped. If you end up in the middle, pray you don't have long legs! Accoustics and staff were awesome in spite of the shortcomings of the seats!
Roxanne Knobbe
Phantom of the Opera was amazing
Love this theater
Timothy Dailey
Hip-hop Nutcracker was a great show. Love the attached parking and sound quality in the Orpheum!
Pavan Teja
Amazing
Trevor Udell
Saw Hamilton here, the theater is extremely nice and well taken care of. Great experience!
blue5bite j
Amazing. Very hectic after shows end but enjoyable regardless 🙂 …
Ann Turner
The theater is beautiful. The show was crude with lots of foul language and lewd behavior.
Joanne Slader
Saw "Wicked" with girlfriends - had a great time. The Orpheum is one of the grand old theaters. The don't build them like that any more! Access is a little tricky for the handicapped, but they make every effort to accommodate.
Sarah Fey
Love going here! The staff are very helpful and accommodating to everyone, and always making sure that people find where they are meant to go!
Gus Quintero
The Orpheum was nice. Well decorated foe the event. The seats were very uncomfortable; they're very close to each other making it very hard to move. It is an OK venue but not the best.
Nicolle Ekkeren
Went and saw Faust, a modernized version of it. It was really good. Loved it! Opera Omaha is amazing and the building is incredible. Had my high school graduation there!
Bryan Tweedy
I recently saw Phantom of the Opera here. What a gorgeous theater. Could use some work on restrooms(quantity) and method of drink and snack service. I stood in a line the entire intermission and went back empty handed.
Evelyn Buckley
this. place is so very beautiful.the shows and plays are always amazing such hard work goes into each show to ensure everyone enjoys them selves so if your looking to go on a nice date night or you wanna make so family memories this is the place to go
P.F. Riner
Oh for the simple beauty of it and then, the sounds and symphonic pairings of Joe Bonamassa and eight grown-ups having the best time in their lives on that stage makes all of us awestruck! Amen! Just amazing! And ladies, a Cornhusker shucks the fine summer corn off the cob!! By the way! The stage crew can fill you in or give the band a taste!!
Carla Harris
The Orpheum Theater is a beautiful place!
Jeannie Labarge
Went to River City Music Choir Concert. It was fantastic. They are really great. Perfect venue
Laura S
I love the Orpheum Theater! They offer wonderful shows, shows you can see with your kids, parents, and friends. Parking can be an issue if you don't arrive early and know where to go.
Janice Jordan
Wonderful, classic theater entertainment! Went to see Hamilton last fall and it was phenominal! The Nutcracker is an annual classic that will entertain you and make many happy traditions!
Heather Tilson
Beautiful theater, very happy there was a skywalk from there to the parking garage as it had snowed earlier! Staff very helpful getting us to our seats as this was our first time there. Highly recommend!
Emily McQueen
Beautiful. Quality. Consistently accommodating. Couldn't be a better venue. Except there is only one wheelchair accessible toilet and it's in the basement. That's no good.
April Jackson
Absolutely love the Orpheum!!! Beautiful place, the shows are amazing, and the service is impeccable!!!
R New
The staff was very helpful and kind. The show that we saw was wonderfully produced. The seating felt a little cramped but that is pretty normal these days.
David Harrington
Great theaters! Beautiful space, Clean spacious seating and the food and full bar make it a great date night or pre-downtown bar scene spot.
Charles Skoglund
Hamilton was amazing!! The beauty and elegance of the Orpheum made a spectacular performance absolutely perfect. If you offered 10 stars, I would give you twelve.
Chase Olson
I enjoyed the venue, a lot of seats without obstruction. Accoustically some vocals were hard to hear, but that might have been due to the music rather than the theater.
Mark Roberts
The architecture inside the Orpheum is magnificent.
Kris T
Beautiful location. Helpful staff. Fantastic performance
Nicholas Irwin
The productions they hold are magical. I have yet to have a disappointing performance here. The seating is comfortable and the architecture of the play house is a beauty of it's own.
Bonita Graves
Staff very accommodating ... allowed me to sit in better seats as I have bad knees and fibromyalgia n arthritis and the seats I originally had was too painful as there was no leg room. As an out of towner n senior...the hospitality given was truly appreciated!
Joseph Hoagbin MD
Historic theater restored to its former grandeur. Acoustics not the best for musicals...vocals often muddled. Prepare for long lines for intermission restroom visits.
Timothy Pagett
Beautiful theatre, faithfully restored, and has amazing shows every year. I've been a season ticket subscriber for several years, and haven't regretted it one bit.
Bruce Guichard
Fabulous ambiance helpful staff. Balcony seating a little tight minimal leg room.
Destiny S
Amazing shows from Broadway to comedy, I can always find something every couple of months I want to go to. Beautiful building, they don't make them like this anymore! So much detail.
Troy Gaines
Excellent experience. In a world where customer service has all but disappeared, I feel that the staff of the omaha Orpheum Theater went above an beyond in their desire to make my wife and I happy.
Thank you
Dillon Edwards
Great, historic venue for all performances. As in many theaters of this age seats are a bit small by modern standards but the staff, lighting and sound are all top notch
Joy Banfield
Beautiful theatre. Every show I've seen there has proven fantastic. Good acoustics. Easy access to parking.
Tanner Korynta
I've seen Wicked and Hamilton here now. Great acoustics and great presentation. Wish they enforced the no-phone policy a bit more though..
Pam Brown
Such a beautiful venue. I got help to be seated and the staff were friendly
Dianne Davis
Saw WICKED at the Orpheum with my sister and a special friend and had a wonderful time!
