Reviews of The Auditorium at The Douglass
Hard finding parking, show was good but don't think we should have been charged 8 bux for a glass if champagne at midnight and would have been nice if son was played at midnight and maybe confetti or balloons
What a fun show!! Adele Wolfs Valentines Affair was a delightful way to spend the evening.
Some things to know about this location that were not disclosed in advance-
-The parking is for residents only, so you have to street park and walk at least a couple blocks to get there. Its very hilly, wear comfy shoes! My heels gave my poor toe a blister.
-They use security and metal detectors at the door, like several (male and female officers)
-Even with a pretty full house, its wide open space and in the middle of winter it was chilly! So glad I brought my warm coat!!
-The chairs are oldschool wood fold downs, so bring a pillow if you have back issues. Towards the end of the 2hr show my butt was done sitting!
Overall it was a fun addition to my Vday weekend trip to OKC! First time visiting, will def be back.
Attended Clerks III Tour here. Parking was an issue, as where to park is not clear. Seats are small. I expected the room to warm up with the packed auditorium, but it was a cold day, and the inside temperature remained fine.
The acoustics are good but as everyone has noted the chairs are little with no leg room and the parking is terrible. There was no security outside to ensure you got to your cars ok. They did not check purses either at security. Place is good but not great
Nice area but management is invisible. Loves one past in their apartment upstairs I've had a horrible experience. No emergency plan established and they have yet to allow me the oldest solely surviving family to get things out of the apartment. Information I so desperately need to get so we the do his memorial and bring family clure... SMH 😭
Nice facility. It's not a school anymore...so their sign threatening to confiscate firearms is not valid. No one can confiscate, they can ask you to leave. That's all. Management should remove their bogus and illegal sign.
Remove it. The facility is very nice.
Got to see the Inconvenience Roadshow of Clerks III with director Kevin Smith. Nice enough venue but I'd prefer for something like this they actually rent out a theater. But you can't have everything.
My biggest complaint is PARKING. They hold an event and then most of the parking is filled up quickly and we were an hour early. The closest parking spots were coned off. All the parking around this place was for residents of the apartments surrounding this structure. 😒 I had to park out on the street and walk up and then the entry was packed because the doors to the main auditorium were still closed. We stood shoulder to shoulder. Once inside the main auditorium I was content. Happy and ready to see the show. I think I would go back but the parking situation really puts a bad taste in my mouth.
Decent acoustics. Chairs are narrow - used to be a school so smaller auditorium environment
Great venue. Nice and small for a concert too
Super clean and very nice place the staff is amazing and friendly had such a wonderful time here.
Seats were a little tight. Old high school auditorium. It was built in 1934.
Beautiful place hope to watch shows here eventually!
This is a venue with an auditorium and one or more presentation / vendor spaces. The building itself is nice. Parking is mostly on neighboring streets and that can be a problem.
This place is very nice, The Auditorium was pleasantly big & comfortable!! Only one thing :PLEASE ALLOW YOURSELFS PLENTY OF TIME TO PARK YOUR CAR!! 👍👍 …
Old historic building but nice for the debate. Main problem is parking. So many signs saying parking ONLY for residents of housing... but no signs saying where you can park!
We went here for the 9th annual okc Burlesque show and the atmosphere was very pleasant then venue was amazing
Super cool venue. Parking can be a challenge, but we’ll worth the trouble.
Sound was great but the seating was a bit tight. Jeff Tweedy was great
Good acoustics. Tight seating. Seating Q thru Z is wood seats. R thru A is padded. If you like the the old school historic venue scene then check out a show here.
Beautiful facility! The remodeling of this historic building is awesome. And the bathrooms are clean and fresh.
We went for "The Struggles of Rosa Parks Musical", it was nice.. We really enjoyed the musical.. If you are tall sit in the front there is no leg room between the rolls.
This is a great venue for recitals, plays or other shows. The cafeteria has been turned into a nice party room. There is plenty of parking
Really impressed by this venue. Great location in an up-and-coming part of town. Historic with awesome new sound system and a Steinway grand piano.
Good place to hold an event
I live here best place to live very huge affordable you get what you pay for quiet beautiful great community wonderful security for you and your children I have awesome events for you to do right inside your home very peaceful very historical you'll feel like you're living in a museum it's that beautiful come apply he won't want to leave
Great acoustics and views, but seats in general admission are too narrow. Very uncomfortable seating. Other than that good venue.
Nice place but a little out of the way. Parking okay. Sound was very good. Seating was also good. Expensive location though.
Great venue. All seats are good for seeing the performers.
Only rating this 4 of 5 stars because the seats aren't sloped up enough and you are constantly having to look around the person's head that's in front of you. Other than that, it's a clean facility.
Seats are very close together, but auditorium is a good size and laid out well for performances.
Jason Boland and the Stragglers enough said
Great place for events
Pretty nice place ..I love the old pictures on the wall
Great venue. Delbert McClinton & band were great . So was the crowd
This venue was really nice!

Great vintage high school type auditorium. Parking is challenging at the moment.
The location is very neat and the bathroom is filled with so much light in the day. Love it.
