Gorgeous, fun... Absolutely darling little venue

Excellent music! The performers had wonderful stage presence and chemistry. Our only frustration was finding where the entrance was. A number of us waited for twenty minutes only to find out that we were at the wrong door. The actual entrance was obscured by construction. When we explained this to the security and staff, we only got a rude and unapologetic response. Better signage and instructions would be helpful for future guests.

Food was really good and very well presented. Seating went very quickly despite being a full house. Staff was helpful, polite and professional. The venue is nothing short of amazing, not a bad seat in the place. Great lighting and sound. The performance by The Victory Belles (Songs That Won The War) was phenomenal. The girls took us all back to the era instantly, they were the pictures of sweetness & the girl next door quality. Their talent is first rate Broadway level and they really showed their true character in the way they interacted with the WWII vets both during and after the show. I rate it a definite MUST SEE.

If you like 40's Big Band swing music, a limited number of guests, tuxedos and evening gowns, great dancing, good food, an open bar and an efficient and friendly staff then this is the BEST New Year party in the country!!

BB's Stage Door Canteen is our favorite part of the National World War II Museum, and we love everything about this museum. The canteen provides living history in the form of uplifting, spirited and beautiful performances focusing on the entertainment found in WW II songs or mid-century entertainment. We've seen several productions here and back home and find there is no stage quite like it. Attendees can see a production by itself or take advange of the meal option either at the afternoon matinee or dinner show. The matinee lunch often features a buffet but the dinner show allows patrons to choose from two or three meal entrees. The second time we attended a show, one of the foods was extremely spicy for my taste but generally, the food we've had here as always been excellent and plentiful. People generally have such a great time here, we've ended up making friends from the strangers who are a seated nearby -- that is certainly more than a typical dinner or play can give you. If you have a veteran in your family, treat them to a show and meal at the canteen. You'll be giving that loved one a cherished experience they'll always remember.

There was a large party of us to visit the WWII museum and the Canteen was very helpful with getting us all together and the food was excellent and very fair for the price. Stumbled across it once we got to the museum and everyone walked away full and happy.

My 8-year-old grandson is a World War II buff so he loves to go to the museum. I was pleasantly surprised at how very good the food is at the Stage Door Canteen.
