What a great venue! Every seat is great from seats up front to the lawn area. We were able to sit in both and the experience is great no matter where you are. Lovely venue with beautiful views of the water and the cityscape. The sound is crystal clear. The grounds are kept nice and clean and every staff member is friendly and helpful. Our new top outdoor venue.
Denise Ray
Very good venue. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the location. Parking is very very close. No mile hike here. Though parking price was listed $22, it was $30 and no cash here btw.
Please read they do not take cash either!!! Had to get a debit card with no cash access to get souvenirs. Try not to to get lawn seats though. Even with chair rentals you can't see that great especially since everyone stood. The humidity made the screens glitch a lot.
Drinks are expensive but pack a punch. Don't spend $13 on a 25oz beer they sell elsewhere for $3. Some vegetarian and vegan food options.
Plan on spending a lot if you want to eat and drink. Like it's $5 for a can of water.
But the ambiance and city views and sound quality were top notch.
Andrew Scrugham
Wonderful venue. Staff is nice and friendly. There is plenty of room and the lawn is nice and comfortable. Most events are scheduled later in the evening so that it is cooler. Surprisingly there are hardly any bugs even is the heat of summer. Just about all you can ask for in a music venue.
Amy Casner
Loved this venue! Weather delayed us b/c of lightning, which was annoying, but the staff was responsible for keeping us all safe... So I praise them for caring for all of us... So we could safely enjoy David Gray's concert! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Courtney
It was my first time at this venue and I would definitely go again! -Tons of staff were scattered throughout the venue. This was great in case you needed any help/had any questions.
-The view from any area was great!
-And best of all, the sound quality of the concert was fantastic in this amphitheatre!
Claudia Leonor
I love the Amphitheater. The sound is always amazing. The line moves quickly, to go inside and once your inside, to get drinks or food. Their system is smooth. The same to get your launch chair, very easy. I love seating on the yard to listen to music.
Rhiannon Marie
I experienced my first ever concert here. Stevie Nicks! I figured a concert would take a while to get into, but it really took no time to get seated. Getting drinks or going to the restroom did not take long either. Overall it was an amazing experience and a beautiful place!
Rose Mattingly
I have lived in Nashville my whole life, but I only just went to see a show at Ascend for the first time the other day! I got to see Rufus du Sol in concert and it was EPIC!!! Such a great show, such good vibes and an amazing event staff!!! I can’t wait to go back and see another mind blowing, life changing, heart altering concert!!!!
Elizabeth Vaiana
This is our favorite venue so far. The weather was amazing so that helped. Great size, amenities well placed, friendly staff, great parking options which we purchased in advance as well as chair rentals in advance.
Valgori
Had an awesome time at the concert for my first time here. Watched Florence and the Machines and WOW what a show!! Ended up sitting in the reserved lawn section and seats were great especially with having 2 big screens to show what’s going on on stage. Definitely go back again!!
Jay Banasiak
Very cool venue. Great visibility all around. I was pleased that much of the lawn was shaded from the downtown buildings. Lawn was great for sitting, even after a thunderstorm came through…wet, but not muddy.
The last star fell off because the opening times for the gates was not communicated clearly. Ticket said 5pm, while another place on the website said 5:30. Spoiler alert: it was 5:30. Made for a frustrating time standing in line thinking they were running late and then very late, until I found the page that said 5:30.

We caught this venue on a perfect weekend for an outdoor show! The weather cooperated, the seats were cool and the acts did not disappoint. Will definitely return for more shows!

We watch Vanessa carlton open for the legendary stevie nicks while it rained. This experience was once in a life time for my family. It was truly magical. She opened with dreams while it rained. The views from here of Nashville in the back of her was breath taken in the fog and mist. The light brides behind us was glorious. Nothing compared to her. She still has it at 74 trips around the sun.

We were taking pictures of the set between acts and told we couldn't be near the stage without wrist bands, yet during the show the same security guy allowed a couple without wrist bands to stand directly in front of our view. They were directly in front of him and the gentleman was holding a large poster up most of the time so it's impossible he didn't see them. (I included a pic showing the guy with his poster in front of the same security guy that wouldn't allow us to take pics between sets. You can clearly see the guy with poster doesn't have a wrist band on either arm, and is standing directly in front of said security guy.) My wife felt it was because she's Latina which made me feel really terrible. There are bad people everywhere though unfortunately. Overall, we were happy with everything else except the prices for food and drinks which are pretty high. A bottle of water shouldn't be $5 when people must stay hydrated. That encourages unhealthy behavior because some people won't pay such a ridiculous price for water.

GA lawn is the way to go! You still get the whole experience with sound yet you can easily access the vendors and bathrooms. Bring a blanket to sit on. I dont really see the need for lawn chairs, unless you have health issues/back problems etc.(cannot bring your own but you can rent one at the venue) everyone stands once the show starts. The lawn area is on a incline/hill, I'm 5'1 and I was able to see great! Alcoholic drinks are about 14$ but they mix them strong. It's a beautiful venue and particularly Glass Animals fans have the best vibes!
IceGrafix Design
Watched Alicia Keys live! It was great. Staff was kind and helpful. Great seats except when people tend to jump on the chairs, obstructing your view. Water, nature's natural free resource, was extremely over priced. $8???
Mark Stephen Tidman
Excellent venue! We've been twice in the unreserved lawn section. It poured buckets of rain on Sunday but the lawn was dry and not even moist Monday evening for Styx 8/8/22
Erin Verdi
Attended AJR’s The OK Orchestra Tour show last weekend (May 29, 2022) and it was excellent. It was a packed show so finding room in the “lawn” was tough, but still feasible. The staff of Ascend Amphitheater are always so helpful and kind and the venue is always very clean! (You also cannot beat the views of Nashville’s skyline from here!)
James Walls
Great venue good seats anywhere you sit. Drinks are very expensive. Sound is amazing. Go if you can.
Madelyn Mazurek
Lawn seats are great! Definitely don’t be afraid to bring your own blanket, I’m glad I did!
There are lots of places to get food and drinks inside the amphitheater, I was impressed with the selection.
I highly recommend going to a show here, even if you opt for lawn seating, which is farther away, you still have a great view of the stage and tons of personal space! Yay!
But beware!
There is no information about their policies online (very annoying!) and if you bring a bag larger than about 5x6 inches you’ll be refused entry! So plan accordingly!
I literally saw people hiding their bags in the nearby bushes… a great way to get your stuff stolen! So instead, bring only what you need in a very small bag. You are allowed larger bags if they are completely see through though.
Florence Lane-Smith
Great place! We had lawn seats and it was great. It's small but convenient and very enjoyable. Took my grandson and two of his friends to see 3 Doors Down 20th anniversary!
The opening band crushed it! And apparently they're local to Nashville They rock. Yes you can smoke inside they do have a sign areas but what happens in ascend amphitheater is I don't see anything I don't hear anything I don't do anything as far as security goes. No chairs allowed they do rent them if your T-Mobile get them free if not they're $10 each or two for $15 they have plenty of food plenty of drinks and the bathroom lines were long but short wait went very quickly literally. Would definitely go again can't wait to take my grandson to see more here. I like outdoors so you can move around that's great. Definitely get the fastpass you can get in in the middle of the arena and avoid the long lines at the ends trying to get in. Get there early an hour before the doors open get that fast pass and go in and sit along the wall on the lawn and you're good to go the seating is great too
jacob dolph
Saw the GooGoo dolls/Blue October concert, the place was awsome, great open area, walking paths were laid out Blatently which made navigation and leaving quite easy.
Cole
Great acoustics in this venue! The atmosphere is amazing as well as you’re surrounded by the Nashville skyline. The drink prices are to be expected for a concert I’m Nashville, pricey.
Rose Drake
Okay place, food and drinks priced higher than any other Nashville venue. Screens are not high enough to see if you're in the lawn. Concert was great though.
Colin Tomblin
This was our first time seeing a show at Ascend Amphitheater and we were very impressed! It’s a great outdoor venue in a prime location down near the Cumberland River. There are several good food options located inside. They had many vendors and food trucks set up inside serving food and alcohol…even wine by the bottle! They do not have bottled water for sale that we saw, it was sold by the can. There were also frozen drinks like daiquiris available. They promote cashless and contactless payments.
The entry gate has several lines. They were checking COVID vaccination or negative test results before you enter. It appeared they had a testing tent set up near by if you forgot to prior to arriving. They only allow clear bags or small clutch purses. They will be searched as you go through the metal detectors.
The amphitheater had an awesome seating arrangement set up. There really was not a bad spot in the whole place. We had seats near the front and all the rows were large enough for people to get out without walking on top of you. There is also a grass lawn in the back you can bring blankets to sit on if that’s where you get tickets. The lighted pedestrian bridge can be seen at night in the background. The stage was easily visible and quite large.
There’s a 11 floor parking garage right across from the venue. It’s very convenient but takes forever to get out because they only have one lane open and it dumps right into a busy downtown street so beware. We will definitely be back for another show here!
Johnathan Vaughan
This venue is epic! It isn't huge capacity but the Black Crowes concert was my first visit here and it did not disappoint! The food and drinks are a little pricey but the backdrop of the cityscape, the nearby Titans stadium, and proximity to the river was a perfect setting! Also, the buildings perfectly block the setting sun that allows you to enjoy the concert in daylight without sun blinding you. I brought bug spray as there were gnats after dark (can't bring aerosol though).
John Green
Went to CMA fest and it was amazing. The grounds were super clean. The restrooms were clean and the security kept a lean eye on everyone and no one got out of line or caused any trouble. Super place to go for a concert
Warren Askew
A great venue to watch a concert! Clean and well organized, and no lineups for food or drink. They have lots of staff to keep people moving. Would definitely go back!
Sandeep Grandhi
Great place to hang and nice view of the fireworks.. get in early by 6pm or so to enjoy and get a good spot..
Darcie Barr
It was pretty cool it was mine and my daughter's 1st concert. I would have given 5 stars but all they sold was Pepsi products and I hate them all and they didn't sell monsters. All the booze and Sprite you want tho and very expensive.
Jenni Surra
What a great venue 🤩🎉 definitely will be going back. The venue has enough really clean restrooms also concessions stands. The lay out is really nice and the sound was amazing for concerts. …
Travis Parks
So was canceled due to a little heat lightening but refunds will be sent. Great views no matter where you sit tho
M.E Ruiz
The concert was fun but the drinks so Outrageous 4x the value from a gas station or any store pricing.
Tom Dugger
Great venue. The Nashville downtown and bridge views are spectacular. Great seats and sound. Wish getting in the facility was easier, but I guess every public event these days goes to extra lengths for security and such. Overall thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Kevin Smith
Went to a music concert on a Thursday night. Easy to get to, easy to find. The patio at the back of the venue is a nice touch. Good views from most anywhere. Good cocktail selection. Nice view of the city around the stadium. The back of the stadium backs up to a city street that's open and random people can come up to the fence.
Sarah Hartman
Great venue in the heart of downtown Nashville. The ticket prices were reasonable for out in the field. The merch section was easy to navigate and not too crowded. Acoustics were very clear even in the back.
Nate Waterhouse
Stevie Nicks was amazing. Smoking section @ the top of the property sucks can't see the stage but at least I got to see how the poor people see a concert.
Michelle Rhea Goddard
I love the Ascend! It's a beautiful, beautiful outdoor venue right on the edge of the Cumberland river. I happen to live very close to the amphitheater and it makes it an easy commute from downtown. During the summertime, this place just lights up with the right amount of breeze, sounds from the cicadas, and humidity flowing..it's quite the place to be for a concert. The last show that I saw here was a unique one, the Nashville Ballet. I've never seen an outdoor ballet but they had a fabulous production and brought in singers for the second act..as well as a plethora of food trucks. I'm grateful to have this venue so close by with the right balance of seating, space, vibrancy, and excellent musicians you can't go wrong!
joel marsh
One of my favorite music venues. Sound is excellent with no interference being downtown. If you aren't used to the area the parking can be overwhelming. Come early because they tend to oversell the lawn.
russell jones
We had awesome seats in section 102 row V. Was straight on from the stage. And it is a really nice venue.
chris van eps
Love it here the lawn seats still have a decent view so you can see a show without breaking the bank
Zane Jacobs
It was hot and the seating was reasonable. The view was acceptable even with large heads in front of me.
Leanna Marie
Very cool. The beer is damn expensive though 🫰🫰🫰. One of the vendors changed my husband's tip like we weren't watching but it's fine. All the other vendors were kind and awesome. My morning jacket went freaking hard. …
david sukalec
Brought my 75 year old, disabled mother here to see The Black Crowes and had a great time. All of the staff were extremely accommodating! Thank you Ascend! That was the first live concert my mother's been to in over 15 years
Silverado Roy
Concession prices are a bit high but that is the way of the world. I will say their concessions were some of the best ran of any event space in town. Hardly any lines for anything and they got you on your way quickly. I will pay higher prices for good service.
Laura Moore
Limited chair rentals for lawn. Previously we were able to bring in our concert appropriate chairs. This season, before the show we checked the policy and only chair rentals are permitted, which is fine. However, the day before the show all the rental chairs were sold out. This issue made the concert experience less enjoyable.
Claudia Leonor
I love going to activities here. I do recommend renting a chair. They are very comfortable and a must. You can enjoy the show from any part you seat. They have variety of food and drinks!
Audrey
Beautiful venue. Everything is nice and clean and the location is fantastic. I saw Florence and the Machine in concert here and it was a wonderful experience all around. I will be looking into going to another concert at this venue again!
Theresa Bell
Jimmy Buffet concert was great! Great sound. Seating spacing good. Minimal lines at bathrooms with brick bathrooms and some port a potties.
Frank Leake
I do not come here often, but it truly is a great little amphitheater in the heart of downtown. Saw Rufus Du Sol here recently. Was a dope show and an awesome night at this venue. Thanks!
Tony Miksa
Saw Styx, REO and Loverboy. The theater is very nice. Many drink options and plenty of bathrooms. Only gave it 4 stars because you couldn't rent chairs when you got there and the lawn seats seemed a bit overcrowded. Which means you need to get to your concert early. Even with the "overcrowding" I will definitely go back. My group had a wonderful time!!!!
Vin
I worked the last two concerts of the year. the first concert was the amazing Stevie at her age can sing like no other. Great show! The second concert I worked was a band called Arctic monkey. I've never heard of this band but that didn't stop the sold out show. The music was pretty good will I go get there c.d idk. Other then that the light show was very cool and I look forward to next season.

GOO GOO DOLLS SUMMER TOUR 2022
Ascend always provides an amazing atmosphere!!!
Erin222
Excellent venue. Not a bad seat in the place. Walkable from anywhere downtown Nashville.
Sheena A
Just moved to the area in Dec. and catch Train, Jewels and Blues Travels this summer. Had a great time and our son even had a blast! If you are visiting Nashville you are then easy walking distance to Broadway!
Matthew Stone
The best view in and downtown Nashville by far. This is my venue of choice. Amazing acoustics and even a decent experience from the " nose bleeds."
Daisey Tomarevsky
New favorite concert venue. Didn’t know what to expect with lawn seats. Super impressed! Great sound quality, and the comfort to kick back in the middle of a big lawn party. Recently went to a Jimmy Buffet concert and plan to return for more artists throughout the summer!
Vince
It was a pretty cool concert the the band was Arctic monkey. No clue . Had a pretty cool light show. Tonight was the last concert for 2022 forward to going back in April 2023
Van Phillips
Nice addition to Nashville. Too bad it is all fenced off by non-resident booking company Live Nation. LN has also messed up the place inside with huge advertising banners draped everywhere.
Clearly cares not for Nashville! Only their own wallets!
Rob Ladove
Watched the Arctic Monleys here and it is a great venue! Great atmosphere and love the open/outside feeling of the place. Obviously drinks are expensive so I would drink safely before you go to a show. Friendly people all around and security does a great job. I recommend this place for everyone! The only thing that would be negative would be if the weather is bad during the time of a show as there is no roof. Great, fun, safe place to see your favorite entertainment.
Anessa Pennington
I’ve been to two concerts here, and I really like the vibe. Bring a blanket and don’t park in one of the closer parking garages unless you plan on leaving early — you’ll be waiting to leave for 49 minutes.
Shawn O'Connor
Saw Stevie Nicks and snuck down to the front from the lawn seats for the last half. Got dumped on by rain. No shelter at all. They don’t allow you to bring lawn chairs but they do allow you to rent theirs.
Ricky Valero
I’ve been to this venue several times, last night we went to see Hillsong United (it was amazing) but I really enjoy this place.
The VIP part is solid, provide a little food, and some shade if it raining too.
But it really is a very fun venue, it’s much better when you aren’t getting drench but overall a fun time can be had and tickets really aren’t over the top either.
One of my favorite places to catch a concert in Nashville.
Charene Robinson
We were visiting Nashville for a few days and decided to take in a concert at Ascend. We got tickets to see an artist we both really loved and were happy to find out he was going to be in Nashville while we were there.
The amphitheater is in an awesome setting. Close enough to downtown to walk from our hotel, but far enough out that it didn't seem cramped. We waited in line for about 15 minutes to go through security. We were able to rent some chairs, grab a few drinks and be seated fairly quickly.
We saw Jason Mraz and what a great concert. The sound was great, the crowd was enjoying things and nobody was being unruly. We were able to dance if we wanted without anyone complaining behind us, since they were dancing too!!
I liked the setting with the lights of the buildings around us.
It's a cool venue. If we find ourselves back in Nashville, I hope to take in another concert.
Russell Church
Great acoustics, full services (although, not surprisingly, you should plan on taking out a small 2nd mortgage for a beer). Typical outdoor lawn seating with slightly better than average premium seats.
Parking is what you would expect for a downtown venue. No structure so event parking will apply in the area.
Caleb
Amazing outdoor theater great for big concerts. I had a great time at the Charlie Puth concert. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is pricey but good. I got a large soda and a burger with fries. It's a great place for a concert as long as the weather is nice.
Chris Duplechain
Can't bring your own chair for the lawn, but you can rent for a low low price!!
Stanley McGrady
Not sure why I'm just now visiting this place. Went for the Anderson .Paak show and it was amazing. He was perfect for that venue. So long as people aren't standing up in front of you, there isn't a bad seat in the house. We sat in the lawn and it was great until a rude group started standing. Honestly the view from the very back is great too. Tons of drinks and food, little pricey but plenty of options. I will admit tho, the pickers vodka stand had tasty drinks! Definitely will be coming back for the right artist.
Candace Newson
The ground starts to hurt your butt after a while if you have a lawn seat. I definitely recommend bringing your own chair (it has to be a low lawn chair) or renting one at the venue. Overall it's a great live music venue. You can see and hear from anywhere. You can bring in your own snacks and bottled water or they have food trucks and several bars within the gates.
Debbie Boucher
This is a beautiful place. We actually catered a party here recently, it was in the front room. Had a nice bar, too. I have been to a few concerts here, as well. Every place to sit is a great place to see everything !
Danielle Rose
Its a beautiful spot, with a cool sunset view of the city! Its nice! The only negative is drink prices...$13 for a domestic tall boy....but all the shows are over by 11, so plenty of time to go elsewhere!
DL
This is SUCH a lovely concert venue! Even the lawn seats are just great for a date night or chill night out without spending a ton! I had a pit pass to see Rascal Flatts as a splurge but I saw no bad seats here! Great breeze coming off the river and the bridge being all lit up lends to the ambiance! I will be back Nashville! Me and my friend on a girls trip was a perfect closeout to the weekend! P.S. I'm in the hat ;) Enjoy your show!
Jessica Seymour
Beautiful design and location. Arena seating in front and the back half is grass so bring your own short chair or blacket for a picnic feel. Food is crazy over priced so maybe eat before you come or bring a small cooler for snacks. Beer and alcohol is flowing so be aware if you bring your children.
Brandon Schecter
Great venue. Location, view, size, and sound are excellent. Needs more trash cans and more local concessions.
Pamela Stiverson
This was my first time at this venue. The stage and sound were really great. The show was incredible!!! The only reason I didn't give 5*'s is because security was ridiculously slow. We waited in line for almost an hour before getting inside.
Eric Jones
Second time that I have seen Leon Bridges at the venue and the music just washes over you. The box office staff is just amazing.
Josh “Tunesly” Wadel
I absolutely love this amphitheater! The staff has always been extremely helpful and friendly. Ticket prices range so that anybody can enjoy the show. You can purchase lawn tickets and come throw a blanket on the grass, tickets in the seating area, or even purchase tickets with your own VIP suite/box type area. They also provide chairs to rent for lawn area tickets. No matter your preference there is not a bad spot in the entire place to experience a great concert with an amazing view of the city and the river all around! Just what Nashville needed!
Brianna Scott
Went to see AJR here. We had lawn seats and could still see really well. Sound is good. Fun concert great venue. Drinks are really expensive as expected. You can bring in water in a clear bottle. Bags have to be clear also. No big purses only a small clutch is allowed.
Christopher Garza
Nice place to spend the evening listening to music and enjoying the night weather under the stars 🌟 good acoustics and plenty of room and bathrooms 🚻 perfect venue for a concert 😀 …
Morgan Elise
Went for the Russ concert last night. It was a beautiful theater with lots of space. The staff was nice and helpful to everyone
Sky Hickey
Eat before you go, bring something to sit on, and awesome lighting ✨️. I love this place, after seeing a few bands here the experience the amphitheater brings never disappoints. I only wish that I could bring my own chair instead of renting one :/ P.S. may the weather have mercy on your concert 🙏 …
Ben Fuller
Awesome venue. Looks and sounds amazing. Had a blast with my kids in a safe and fun environment. Staff and security are top notch. A great place to enjoy your favorite performances. Thank you.
William Grubbs
Finally finally made it out to my first show here at ascend and must I say I was extremely pleased. It kinda reminded me of Starwood even a little. But I loved it and to see Nas with the Nashville symphony was just icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend anyone in town to come here for any kind of show especially when the weather is right. 10/10 all the way around!
MammieTammie Reviews
The Amphitheater is incredible. Great design, and layout. I loved sitting on the lawn listening to awesome music, while seeing some of my favorite bands on the screen! The problem with Jukebox Hero Concert was not the Amphitheater's fault, lol I heard too many people last night blaming a building for the faulty weather! Blame that on those controlling the tour, and staff not being educated and a plan put in place when there are weather issues like Thunderstorms :/
Jessica Brooks
An amazing AMAZING time seeing Jack! Ziggy was the perfect opener! The venue itself was very well kept and well staffed. I appreciate how environmentally friendly they were/are. The reusable cup program is awesome!
Seth Parrish
Have seen several concerts here. The new chair rental service is great. Lots of food and drink options. Never had to wait in a line for food and drink. Doesn't appear to be a bad seat in the house, even towards the back of the lawn.
Thomas Enoch
Had VIP seating for Alice C. They treated us with with respect. Very helpful. Just bathrooms are far away.
Mike Melick
Nice music venue on the river in downtown Nashville. Reasonable concession lines. Pricey but not unexpectedly so.
Grab a chair rental and relax to enjoy the show from the lawns.
JD 45
Great place to see and hear music IF security wasn't so heavy handed..... people getting escorted out for... Dancing?
I was told I couldn't sit on a concrete wall 45 minutes BEFORE any music is played. It was not allowed... Really?
TJ Jones
First time here, I saw Nas and the Nashville symphony orchestra..
Wasn't exactly sure what to expect from this concert but it was 🔥🔥🔥! acoustics were great and there wasn't really a bad seat! …
Dan Curtis
The venue was fine. Good acoustics, easy to navigate. But their policies on inclimate weather leave something to be desired. They could have let last night's concert continue as other area venues did but chose not to and poorly communicated what was going on to fans who traveled hours to see their favorite band.
Matthew Parks
Great venue. Beautiful park space.
Bryan Lewis
Primarily went to see Fitz and the Tantrums (great show!)...but was really pkeasantly surprised by Saint Paul and the Broken Bones.
Hyoun K
I haven't officially been to Ascend in a concert capacity. I used to visit for pop-up concerts when the area was just plain grass. When the Predators made their playoff run, I visited with my wife to watch the Stanley Cup Finals. All I can say is that it is AWESOME. The scenery (especially during sunset) and the sound quality is great. I like how there are concessions too. Will gladly look at paid venues in the future. Great alternative to indoor concerns (as long as the weather is nice).
Sarah Bettencourt
Love this place! Great outside venue and shows are amazing 👏 great on summer nights! Close to everything too! …
Brian
Great sound quality, lawn had chair provided, and a great atmosphere. Non-alcoholic drinks are reasonably priced for a concert venue. Only issue was the first artist had to deal with the beeping of semi-trucks backing up behind the stage
Bradley Stuckey
Ascend is easily one of the best venues to see artist in the country. Sound is incredible and if you're visiting Nashville for the first time, don't be surprised if you here some of your favorite artist while walking downtown. More than likely you're hearing it from Ascend. Not a bad seat in the house in my opinion and the view of the city from inside is great as well. We just do music better here!
David Oden
This is a really good venue, easy in and out, good concessions. The view from the grass is good unless people are standing but it’s not that bad. There was a lot of people with blankets to sit on in the grass, but most had rental chairs.
pdangelo4 D
Awesome venue. Only downside is the constant sirens you hear from first responder vehicles...
Elaine Erickson
I've been to Acsend before and had a great experience, but tonight was different. The venue itself was OK, but they should have more than one rental chair pickup stand and the sound was almost muffled part of the time. You couldn't even hear what the bands were saying on the stage when they talked to the audience. Hopefully these issues are fixed for the next show there.
carol cz
Nice venue for concerts. Only drawback was the food. Seems like it's prepared ahead of time and kept under heat lamps fries were tough to eat and lukewarm. Good thing the music was hot!
Madin Nashville Blogger
I love this venue and it's staffed really well.
Be sure to bring a clear bag/purse for your personal items ladies. However, if you forget, there's a vendor outside that will sell you one and check/hold your Louie, Coach or whatever purse you have until after the concert.
I am partial as it is within walking distance. For any Nashville natives, this is the closest we have to the former Starwood Amphitheatre.
Melissa Ferraro
Fantastic venue! Great place to see a show. Too bad the drinks were way over priced. Water was $10! Otherwise, a great venue
Ruth Arnell
Wonderful place to see live music. The women's restroom has free menstrual supplies and the cups from concessions are recyclable. Lots of effort to make the facility green and hate free.
Rich Severson
If getting lawn seats and planning to rent a chair. Rent it online in advance to save time in line. Also most people stand during the show, so may not be worth spending the money. With the low seats you won’t be able to see past people standing. It is nice to have the chairs while enjoying drinks and claiming your spot, but not so useful during the show
Tanille Spencer
The sound and view were great. We were ga. Had easy access to drinks with short line and clean Porta potties too. Great amount of space. Didn't feel crammed. And location is easy to get to
Marie Steinmetz
Ascend is what I call
"user friendly " because it is easy to get in and out. The plaza makes it nice to find restrooms, food and beverages, and merchandise. You can rent lawn chairs for seating on the grass. No bugs! The sound is fantastic from anywhere you sit. The city lights are beautiful. I love this place!
Zachary Webster
I've been to my share of outdoor venues. I've seen Jack White and Glass Animals at this one though- both times were in the PIT. Once you figure out it's better to Uber than park, you'll be able to fully enjoy this venue.
Michael Mengelt
Great venue nice people right downtown so small no viewing screens are needed
Niegel Massey
Sitting on the lawn with a great view and fantastic friends enjo ying Styx Loverboy REO Speedwagon
David Burley
Great location and nice to sit on the grassy hill with good views of the stage. Need more chairs if only allowing for rental chairs on the lawn.
Perla Salas
1st time coming to this place for Alicia keys. With my family had the best experience. Arrive on time door open and bag are clear bag. If you take purse they sale locker and vip entrance .
Saif Al-Alawi
I came from out of town to watch the Cardinals play the Titans but my time at Ascend Amphitheater was what I will remember. We got to see Nas perform with the Nashville Symphony which was a delight and something uniquely Nashville. The orchestra while beautiful was drowned out by Nas and his ensemble but to hear the Symphony make Illmatic come to life was a delight.
Robert Flanagan
Awesome place for concert. Not too many people. Easy access to concessions, restrooms and souvenir booths. Great experience.
Vivian Brown
New Outdoor Venue, in Nashville TN, near the Cumberland River! Went for the LSD Tour Concert, featuring, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle and Dwight Yoakum! They are phenomenal Performers!!! Convenient vendors, smoking area and visible security.
Lizzy Marie (#GlitterGlassesJourney)
Great venue! The skyline is unfortunately peppered with construction, but pretty nonetheless. Almost every spot in the GA lawn is a good spot that gives a decent view of the stage.
I would've given more stars except the food and beverage prices are obscene. I've been to many venues and music festivals all over, but these prices were a bit ridiculous!
Jennifer Hauser
Great outdoor concert venue. Saw Umphreys McGee there and the sound was excellent with Nashville skyline in the background. Extremely high food and drink prices though.
Westy E
Great place for an outdoor concert! Hidden by the great nightlife of Nashville. Walking distance to all the fun.
Garrett Davis
Great little amphitheater, it's really great being able to see the skyline right behind the performers. Beverage prices are absurd. I do like seeing a lot of last minute shows here!
Claire Whorton
fantastic venue, great sound, and can't find a single bad seat in the house. lines are all reasonable and the view is fantastic. a very fun night ahead!
Courtney Bindi
On the smaller side of any amphitheaters I've been to. Plenty of bathrooms. I had to pour my drinks I bought from them into a cup...I dont know what that was about
Marion Jackson
Pretty cool venue..also uber did a cool vip experience..very nice will def head back here for the next show..also loved the views of dwntown.
Jesse Moy
Excellent.
Im a ct native, and came here for the TN glass animals concert with a friend.
Its relatively compact.
So... The seats that you get are all by rows/sections.
Per row, the next one behind you is slightly elevated so everyone isnt towering over one another.
Dont pay extra for any seats, as i did...and then bought siff seats as i thought row V (farthest) would grant me little to no visibility of the artists.
However, i changed to row H, and it really wasnt much of a difference (because the entrance to the seats is the back rows, u can see the visible difference right there, which is barely any difference).
The lawns right behind the seats.
Seats are flat, you'll spend most of your time up, and its really awesome.
Overall, the amphitheatre was an excellent experience.
So many staff, it was hella awesome!
William Hargis
This is one of my favorite venues! I went here for the first time in 2019 before the pandemic. I’m finally going again in 2022 now that things are sort-of back to normal. I’ve missed concerts so much, and I can’t wait!
Morgon Thomas
Amazing outdoor music venue! The skyline of Nashville is the background of the stage, as you can see through it. Vampire Weekend was spectacular here
Amy Stewart
Great place to see concerts with a great view of the buildings downtown! If you're wanting an unobstructed view on the lawn, it's best to sit further back...the hill is steeper and people are more spread out. Or get there early to get at the edge of the lawn. They do sometimes allow you to bring short lawn chairs, or you can rent theirs at the venue.
Stones River
Great concert. Ziggy Marley and Jack Johnson!!
Stephany Oanes
Saw Weird Al Yankovich in June. I was surprised how fast we went through security, no long lines! We had lawn seats and the lawn seating offered an endless lawn so we settled in pretty quickly and still had a great view of the front. The audio of the concert was phenomenal- even with lawn seats it felt like we were up front. I definitely would come back here for more shows!
Doug Carr
A great outdoor facility for live music. Not a bad seat in the house. I would guesstimate that this venue holds between 6 to 7000 people, and everybody had a great time at the show I was at! Of further note I am in a wheelchair and this Amphitheater is completely wheelchair accessible to the point I would say wheelchair friendly.
Joseph Brocato
Awesome amphitheater, great acoustics, all kinds of things to do around the venue. Great part of Nashville!
Shawnee Mallery
Small venue, out doors, with no roof unless youre right infront of the stage. Bathrooms were conveniently located. I saw a concert here last week and it was a great show. The stage was close, the visibility was excellent. These pictures I took from my seat, I wasn't even in the pit but still was super close.
R B
Outstanding. Venue is overlooking the river with the beautiful bridge that lights up at night. The sound and big screen is awesome.#travelendlessbeauty
Patricia Guevara
Acoustics were amazing! Perfect live music venue! Alicia Keys melted me....so good!!
Mike Wall
I was on the lawn. The grass was in good condition. The show (NIN) was great. Security was good without being overbearing. The prices of the mixed drinks were outrageous especially for how much alcohol was in it. Overall a great place to attend a show.
Karen Smaalders
This concert venue is in town, near restaurants, easy entrance and exit, clean, friendly staff, great sound, hard to have a bad seat.
Matthew Shephard
Saw Stevie Nicks here and it was a great venue for her amazing performance. No complaints.
Steve Hudson
Awesome outdoor venue. The grass isn't a bad place to be but the reserved area is the way to go. Concessions are a bit pricey but it's nice that they serve alcohol. Holds about 6000.
Cristi Carper
Not a bad seat on the property! Beautiful location! Awesome place for concerts!
Morgan Crutchfield
Awesome venue that's just small enough to be intimate, just big enough to be convenient. Fast, polite security and great traffic control. It was incredibly easy to get a Lyft to and from the concert and to direct them to the pickup and dropoff zones. There is no covered seating, so be aware of the weather - Nashville gets a little tricky that way. And expect concerts to start on time - local noise regulations require that bands be done with their sets by 10pm. Bowl seats are the best value, IMO (photos taken from row N, section 103). Great chairs and lots of space to get in and out of the rows. Overall a really, really great show experience!
Tami Holliday
Our first time visiting the Amphitheater and we were blown away! What a beautiful venue with amazing views of downtown. The only downside was there was no hand sanitizer, at all. Would love to try the lawn seats next time!
Mary Fish
Great place to see a show, but the bag policy is weird depending on who the person checking is. I carry the same clear bag that I take to Titans games and they tell its too big for Ascend? If it's the correct dimensions I'm not sure what the issue was... Grass is always nice and you can rent folding chairs, but be sure you can get up from a low position or you're rolling out of the chair to get up. Popcorn and pretzels are always fresh and hot and the drinks are high but everything downtown is pricey. Have a decent budget to spend. Clean bathroom is always a plus.
Steven Gumeny
perfect size venue. not too big not a bad seat in the house. audio quality was great and a nice view of the Nashville Skyline
Ben Skidmore
Great smaller concert venue! Not crazy crowded. Rental chairs were affordable ($15 for two). Food, drinks, and restrooms were close and quality.
Breonna Preston
Decent pricing on food for what you get considering it's a downtown venue. Somewhat clean bathrooms. Nice venue. Plenty of street parking free in the area if you drive for a few minutes.
John Staggs
Totally wicked-good time seeing Rancid and the Dropkick Murphy's in Nashville @ Ascend Amphitheater. Packed with Hooligans and Rude-Boys galore... And the cityscape as a wicked-good backdrop... The night was full of magic (and very expensive cocktails.)
5 stars
Jennifer McManson
Great venue. You can see well from any spot even grass. I've been here tons of times and made some great friends and unforgettable memories.
Clayton Cohn
As a venue, the amphitheater is pretty great. Lawn seating is plentiful, the tickets themselves are generally cheap, and the sound quality is good. That being said, I have two issues. The first is the pricing of venue sundries. Tallboy beers are $20...which isn't that outrageous considering it's 10$ per 12oz, but it's still expensive -- especially for Nashville. Lawn chairs are available for rent for $10, but the kicker is that you are not allowed to bring in personal lawn chairs OR personal blankets, which I think is ridiculous. My second issue is that there are several areas in the lawn with obstructed views. You can avoid them, but they are important to be aware of.
Still, all that being said, I haven't yet been disappointed by a show there (until I got home and checked my wallet, that is). If you're a drinker, I recommend pregaming somewhere to minimize your alcohol expenditure at the venue.
Encouragingly,
Clayton Cohn
Eric Hobbs
Great outdoor venue. Nice mix of seating and very chill feeling. Felt like a small Red Rocks type of place. Only smack in the middle of downtown Nashville.
Paula Prevost
My first time there for a Nora Jones concert. Excellent seats, plenty of concessions. Had nice weather too. Will go again!
B Walker
Absolutely love ascend amphitheater, we have never had a bad experience. Seats or general admission lawn both offer an amazing experience. We’ve seen over 10 shows here and can’t wait to see 100 more. Fans of the old Starwood amphitheater will truly appreciate this venue.
Matt Collins
Beautiful venue that's super clean and well managed as far as security, maintenance and such. Food and drink prices are stratospheric - with beer prices up to $16 each. Parking is basically wherever you can find it in busy traffic. Enjoyed the concert, though, but will fill up before arrival next time!
Sarah Shaw
Great experience and venue! Would come back for future events!
Melinda Hamby
We have been to Ascend twice recently and enjoyed both shows. We sat on the lawn once with rental chairs and once with a blanket (our preferred experience). The food and wine trucks were good but the food from the concession stand was not.
Ann Twarogal
The fees on the tickets are ridiculous but the venue was great. For lawn seats you can only bring in your own blanket and then rent chairs if needed. Also clear bag policy.
Randall Harden
Had a awsome time . will highly recommend ascend . great service from our sever in our reserved seat section. Friendly and nice workers. Great job.
Eric Brewer
Smaller venue (approximately 7,000 persin capacity) with excellent sound. A great place for an outside show! Excellent views of the city and the venue is walking distance from downtown. Do not miss seeing your favorite artist at Ascend Amphitheater. GA Pit tickets are usually reasonably priced, and well worth it here, if you can get them.
David Brashier
Easy to navigate amphitheater, plenty of places to get concessions/beverages, clean restrooms, and super fast service. Even as far back as the lawn, the view of the stage is amazing. Also, gorgeous atmosphere in downtown Nashville. Will definitely be returning.
Emily Dyer
This is my favorite music venue in the whole of Nashville. The location and surrounding views are awe inspiring. The venue itself is clean and very well managed. The size and capacity are perfect. The lawn is well kept and the slope provides unobstructed views of the stage. It's the best.
Thomas Gallagher
Wonderful! Outdoor venue with all the features of being indoors! LiveNation staffed our concert here and there were plenty of nice, helpful employees. I saw Tame Impala here and they sounded great! I wish the secondary screens we're working that night but I bet they weren't because it had rained earlier. 10/10
Mac Dean
Great venue. However the line to get in was atrocious. It took nearly 20-30 minutes just to enter. The beer prices are absurd ($13.25 is the cheapest). Besides that it is a great venue with an awesome view of Nashville.
Daniel Watkins,
Me and my wife went to go see loverboy REO Speedwagon and Styx concert
We had pretty awesome seats I'm grateful for that the show with all three Acts were awesome this is technically my life second concert this is probably my 15th or 20th concert since being a teenager so last time we were here was when we singing Peter Frampton and that was an awesome show too. The drinks were kind of pricey the t-shirts were Pheeeew Really pricey, but we got 3 bands on there ,so if we ordered them online it would of been more than likely higher. To me and my wife it was worth it. I got to see 2 of my favorite bands the 3rd was a bonus !!! Can you guess which one was the bonus band???
I really enjoyed it being outside Parking was Coo Coo for Coco puffs in & out of their.
Again worth it,if you like outside concerts ...
✌️😎❤️ Y'all
Greg Anchondo
Great intimate setting for an outdoor venue! Pretty easy to navigate getting in and within the concessions as well. Can’t beat the skyline backdrop either
Lena C
Whether on the lawn or in the cushy seats, always have had a great time at shows here. If no bags/chairs, enter quickly through the entrance line to the right. Chairs available to rent now - $10 I think. Depends on the show and day of the week how early you need to arrive to get a good lawn spot.
Maureen Childress
I just love this venue. You can see and hear so well from any where. The location is just filled with a beautiful view. The skyline, Cumberland River, and even the stadium can be seen. Things to know ahead of time is no bags/purses are allowed. (Learned the hard way.) Also, This too has now gone paperless. Only accepting cards. Just like any concert the drinks are over priced, but they are able to serve liquor. Which put the cherry on top of the Jimmy Buffet concert as I got to sip a margaritas even more perfect. I would recommend this venue to anyone.
NeonGreen DeathMonkey
I really liked the fact that they had bathrooms everywhere and not Porta potties. I liked the outdoor sitting area. They had great food, everyone (working there) was nice and I overall had a good time. I would go to a concert here again. I didn't even sit front row and I still had a great view.
I would say though, if you are going for the first time....bring bug spray if you can and make sure you have about 200 dollars saved up before you go. I might have bought too many things lol
DE POPE'S KITCHEN
Pre birthday concert with JOHN LEGEND. It was my first time in the Ampletheatre it was nice and clean and well managed.
Linda Abuga
Amazing concert!
Amphitheatre is easy to navigate. Uber was a necessity for us. Great atmosphere. Chair rentals are $10 which we took advantage of.
Brian Anderson
Great venue for concerts. Parking is close, easy access to Interstate. Always a good time watching bands under the stars.
Sheila L. Ruiz
It was my first time attending a show at the venue, and it WON'T be my last ! Security lines were through, but moved quickly. The restrooms were clean & well stocked, even towards the end of the show. There wasn't a bad angle up on the lawn to find a seat, and investing in the rental chairs (if you don't already have your own) is well worth it ! Having the illuminated city as the stages backdrop was breathtaking. Even leaving after the show, and finding a good place for a LYFT pick up site was easy, and only took a coupla' minutes. I've attended countless "live" shows for over 45 years, and THIS is pretty much my favorite spot for the next 45 !
Mandy Stokes
It was amazing. I had the best time ever. The food was great, the show was perfect, and the place was clean. We had great seats.
Dominic Birckbichler
This is the coolest amphitheater I have ever been to. Great craft beer selection! They also have a wonderful view of the cityskyline. It is such an amazing feeling to enjoy one of your favorite groups and see such an amazing sight at the same time. I will definitely be back!
Kinsey Caudle
Saw Florence and the machine and loved the set up. Had a clear view of the stage from the lawn seating.
Jeremy Flax
Great outdoor concert venue with plenty of food and drink options. Parking has gotten a bit out of hand downtown is the only real negative. It was $35 to park in the official parking lot last time I was there.
Jenn Fleming
Everything was perfect for a amazing concert performed by Alecia Keys !! Great experience and would recommend this place to anyone
Miri Basford
Awesome venue. The staff has been very friendly both times I've been there. The lawn is huge and you can get a good seat from pretty much anywhere.
Tad Hines
This was a great experience. The sound quality was awesome, parking was simple and close. Just an all around good visit. And when you are in the Pit you are right on the stage, What a great view.
Erica Bergstrom
I enjoy the out side venue and view but that is where it ends.
The venue is more about making money than they are about catering to the public. The cost of one 2$ beer inside is 15$- 1 - 8oz water 5$, the cost of the food is relative to any venue, though. The cost of a ticket as grass is advertised at 25$ but you have to pay fees for the venue, really?? So it really ends up at 35$ per person.
Then when you get into the grass seating - front sections of the grass seating section is marked off with fences for "reserved" people. Horrible way to try to pull some more money out of the customers. Also blocks the view for all the grass seats, ALL!
So here we are at the chairs... You can't bring in higher seated chairs (that might actually allow you to see over those horrible fences), the ideas is so everyone can see - but it's really so they can rent chairs out at a very high cost to the customer. And it's useless cause you have to stand to see anyway - Fences!!!
Smokers aren't allowed to sit in the smoking section, I mean if your going to fence off a public area for the smoking section why have a guard watching the benches.
This latest trip really put me off from coming back and it's sad cause I am an avid music fan. I had hoped this venue would replace Starwood but Lord was I wrong.
Update: went back on 10-2022. It was a better experience. The prices of drinks where more inline with other venues and the staff was in a very pleasant mood. I guess we been in lock down so long it's changed people's outlook. Good job on listening.
Brian Jones
This was my first time seeing a show at Accend. It didn’t disappoint. Great outdoor venue!
Cyndael Thomas
Not too large. Lawn is not to steep and well kept. Staff is mostly friendly. They have made me throw away snacks that were allowed according to the website and I had brought in at other shows there. But food staff is nice and some go out of there way to make you happy. Not overzealous security guy though. He was not cool.
Johnny Bates lll
Awesome facility's great staff just a great place to see a concert we will be back.
Z
Great venue, but they need to work on communication with Live Nation. I bought a "fast pass" that was sold by Live Nation. The Live Nation people told me to talk to the venue folks, the venue folks said to talk to Live nation. No one knew what was going on. Same with the chair rental. I rented a chair as part of my ticket. Went to get the chair, and they did not have my name or email address and I couldn't prove it to them since they were using Yondr bags to lock up the phone. They eventually gave me my seat, but that was annoying.
Angela Faulkner
Nice venue but $35 for 2 drinks was a bit steep.
Ernesto Ramos III
This John Legend concert was the best in the business I loved today I work the concert for h a i m never heard of them but this girl group rock the house I'm so excited and proud that I was able to see this concert and working as well at the main gates
Richard A.
AMAZING venue! I love the seating layout. We caught The Pixies and Weezer, there, and had an absolute blast! Now, I can't wait to catch another concert, there.
Julia Dozier
We went to see Weezer and The Pixies here July 28. This was my first visit since they built it. It is very nice. I am still quite the fan of Starwood. It’s not near the same size. The concert sounded amazing. My kids and I had a great time. I look forward to seeing more concerts here.
Daria King
Saw machine gun Kelly at ascend show was great and the staff was friendly
Scott Finney
Excellent outdoor venue. Not a bad place to stand in the lawn. Easy to exit after the show. Great proximity to Broadway. Great place to see Phish. Especially when they have Bobby play a whole set with them.
Angela Pacheco
A gem of Nashville which combines many great aspects of the city. You will enjoy live music in a spectacular setting in downtown Nashville on the river with amazing sunsets. The sound of the performers carries through the night air with a crispness which is hard to find at outdoor venues. They have easy to access concessions, drinks and food trucks along with large clean restrooms. The lawn crown can rent chairs or bring along your own chairs and/or blankets. If you see an artist you like playing at Ascend get your tickets, don't hesitate.
Montez Dennis
The Alicia Keys Concert was Amazing. The Weather was Perfect.
Al Gonzo
Jack White's Supply Chain Issues...astounding! I relished the music and audio from many points just behind the box seats, particularly the right, but the terrace behind the middle lawn offered a spectacular view to boot. Staffed by helpful and fairly cool people.
Cookie Spickard Pickett
Date night date night!! First time at Ascend and it was awesome!! Went to see Leon Bridges!! With the threat of rain that never came, it made a cool breezy awesome night!! Nashville’s skyline is beautiful from there!!
Emily Orten
I absolutely loved this concert venue... not a bad seat in the place
sg
i went to see 5sos last night (6/30/22) and it was one of the best nights of my life hands down. i had soundcheck and waited in line for hours, and they constantly asked us if we needed water and offered it to everybody. after we got checked in and almost got into the soundcheck we had to be ushered out for the storm, and there was nothing they could do about it so i udnerstand the reasons they kicked us out back to the sifewalk. we had to go through security again and everyone though soundcheck would be cancelled cuz we waited 2 hours including security and the storm, and thank the lord soundcheck was still on and the concert later. good venue who carees about the customers
James Peach
Best outdoor venue experience of my life. The planning and design of this place are top notch. The layout of the concessions and such are optimal for all size crowds.
Jason Hatter
It's a nice amp, but I have seen better in smaller cities. The entire bowl is grass. So, even if you have reserved seats, it is folding chairs on grass. The lines for drinks can get pretty backed up. The sound is great and the location relative to Broadway is really nice (unless you are trying to get out of there quickly after the show). We enjoyed being there but I guess I was expecting something a little better for a city the size of Nashville. Overall, you will likely have a great time there.
Josh
This venue is awesome. But the event we saw was $20 to park, and the only spaces left were for compact cars. Even my Nissan Altima is not considered compact.
Helen Page
Great venue and seating. Attended Maren Morris' sold out show The GIRL World Tour .
Katie Ford
This was everything I hoped for and more. Nas with a sympathy orchestra was something I never knew I needed to hear! The venue was very nice and clean. Bathroom was clean. The only thing I didn't like is the seats are really close together like airplane close side to side. I had plenty of room to stretch my legs. I think next time I would spring for VIP or sit in the grass area which was way closer in proximity than it looks online. Even with the close seats I definitely rate this more stars if I could! Can't wait to go back. Drove up from Huntsville AL.
Batman Fitness and Strength
Great fitness Park. Everything you will need for a great calisthenics workout.
Sebastian Volz
A good experience i had with my family. We went there for a recent AJR concert and the whole place was great. The only gripe I had was the lines, and I had to wait 20 minutes in line just to get some soda! Another problem i have with this concessions stand is that they don't accept cash for some reason.
Zane Asselin
1st time there and loved it..food and drinks are priced high like all venues. Come prepared..also you can not bring in a chair if you have lawn seats.
T S
I came here to see Nas perform with the Nashville symphony orchestra. It was an awesome performance and a great venue.
J.D.
Great venue. Local sound ordinances make it a comparably quiet venue but great sound none the less.
Jessica Crabtree
Beautiful outdoor space with terrific view of downtown architecture - Batman building and the Pedestrian bridge! They glow. 😊 …
Jason Egan
Great time seeing the Violent Femmes and Ben Folds. Bought tickets for Lenny Kravitz next month as well.
Jenna Joyner
Great outside concert venue
Wes Hildebrandt
If you get lawn seats, order the lawn chairs ahead of time to avoid the long lines onsite. Also, the food and drink options are much better on the side nearer the entrance.
Nique D
Absolutely AMAZING!!! Saw Lenny Kravitz here tonight and he was fantastic!!! Great venue!
Sam Langley
Fun place. Good people. Great drinks. Staff is helpful and friendly. Security is on point.
Chad Oetjen
Great acoustics and fun venue. I have seen multiple shows here and everyone has been amazing!
Allen Keith
Only place like it in America !!!! Let your eyes soak up the Nashville skyline and your ears rock out to some of the Best artist in the world! !
Ilsa Billings
We loved the show! The staff were friendly and helpful. Enough different Refreshments for every taste.
Cody Broussard
Went to my first show here this week. Really nice amphitheater! We sat in the lawn and it was great sound and view. Negatives for me are the way way overpriced drinks and all the restrictions. Cool place to see a show just get ready to pay!
rob beres
Great seats no matter where you are at.
Russell Spurlock
Great place for a show! Bring a blanket and rent a chair for $7. Great way to stake out some turf on the lawn. Also if you get in early enough, and you're on the lawn, grab a spot next to one of those big permanent towers. You can have the rail on one side of you which gives you better space with fewer people crowding you
Jesus Flores
Such a well built venue in the middle of all the action of downtown Nashville. Lawn tickets are the way to go. Bring a blanket, chair and have a good time!
Kim Auernheimer
We had a great concert experience. Sat on the lawn and loved it! Great venue, great location and incredible acoustics!
RJ Clarke
Cheap seats on the grass! Almost all concerts are over by 11, thanks to Nashville sound ordinances, so don't expect to be staying late for a show!
Melody Watson
Went and saw Joan Jett here and the venue was great! There was a huuuuuge line to get in, but we got to the frot surprisingly fast. Definitely planning on visiting more often!
Karen Photopulos
A great small open air venue. Check ahead of time on the restrictions that the entertainer mandates as well as the venue.
Terina crowell
Got rained out. Wondering if we will get refund, or different concert date.
Donovan Daley
Awesome venue. I just wish the decent seats weren’t so expensive. We had a great time on the lawn but you couldn’t see very much. Oh, and drinks were $20!!!
Nikki Sturdivan
They won't let you bring in your own low lawn chairs. You have to rebt from the venue but yet they run out. Always rent online ahead of time.
EastTNPride
Great venue to see live music!
Plenty of open space to move around/dance etc, plus you have an awesome view of downtown Nashville right behind the stage!
B E (59gretsch)
This is a great outdoor concert arena. The sound was good no matter the location. Had a great view of the downtown skyline too.
Gregory Drinkwater
I was super impressed. Very cool outdoor amp with an intimate feel. Crowded getting in but overall A+ venue.
Brian Cofer
I've been to several events here, the latest being Hans Zimmer's tour and several Nashville Symphony concerts. It's certainly not the best sounding amphitheater I've been in; pretty underwhelming as far as that goes, but you can only expect so much for an open air theater like this.
Crooked Eye Tommy Marsh
A fantastic venue.. The Sound was awesome...
TJ Green
Wonderful entertainment venue within walking distance to hotels and other entertainment! Lots of drink selections as well!
Bernadette Ellsworth
Thos is a great venue!
Erik Green
Seeing Leon Bridges was amazing! Was the sound quality the best? No. Did it rain a little? Yes. We’re drinks expensive and food barely edible. Of course.
Theresa Hesse
We love seeing concerts at Ascend. The staff is friendly, the sound is incredibly good and there are lots of concession options.
MJ LlamaMama
We had lawn "seats"- a promise of 2/$15 seats was appealing. The guy ahead of me got the last two from the back booth. Would have been nice of the sales gal to tell me there was another location. Great selection of food and beverage. Wish there had been a video screen so we could actually SEE the entertainers! The flashing spotlights from the towers was especially annoying/blinding.
Ashley Brubaker
They have zero plan in the event of a weather emergency. It rained. They evacuated. We were told to wait with our car and check their social media for when they would reckoned. We could not even use the restroom before leaving. I We ubered. So we went to local bar. An hour later, no update so we decided to go home. Turns out the main act was going on 55 mins before they have to shut down due to sound ordinance (11pm). Terribly run. They don’t care. They ready have our money and no one will respond to my inquiries.
Matt Chamberlin
By far my favorite venue. Very cool scenery and the sound is great. Rental chairs are available and they sell blankets if youre sitting in the grass. View of the stage is great virtually everywhere.
Schalla-Bills
Incredible scene. Staff was experienced and friendly its quick to get in and out of, seats are cool but the lawn is just as fun! Blown away by the surrounding city just chilling in the background. I cant wait to go back catch a show!
NotThe Dot
Great padded seats, awesome sight lines, acoustics best of any outdoor place I've been.
Pricey beverages, convenient parking.
Darryl Desa Smith
Great venue! Great view from any seat in the house including the lawn.
Philip Bradley
The best outdoor venue in Nash! Great spot to bring a blanket and dance in the back lawn.
M Rexhausen
This is a great place to go for a concert where you don't have to break the bank for a ticket, and lawn seats are great (as long as you get there early enough for a great spot).
Savannah S
When entering it seemed very well organized. I enjoyed the arena as well! The arena was very clean and well kept! While in line for merchandise for the concert the lines were unorganized and people kept cutting the line because there were no ways of telling where to go, if they could implement some sort of line divider such as rope or something I think that would really improve the overall experience of the merchandise tent and make the lines go faster instead of it taking longer.
Daniel Himes
Great place to see a concert. The sound is amazing!
Jennifer Cannon
Awesome venue. Loved it!
camillia walker
They have concerts here,Parking garage is right by ascend check the price though may be a little costly. Great concession stands,it's outside. They do serve alcohol, margaritas, beer, shots. As far as food you can get anything from hotdog, nachos, loaded nachos, chicken tenders fries ,popcorn etc. If you got money the cost won't matter but if you have to watch your money then eat before you come. FUN CROWD!! I'll add photos next time I go. Get there early it's always a crowd😉
ken ransom
Plenty of food, drinks and bathrooms. Great views
Nickolas viau
Excellent concert venue! Great location. Services were very good, plenty of spots to get drinks and grub so you don't waste your whole night waiting in line.
David Baker
Awesome atmosphere, very clean and nice venue.
Kimberly
I've been attending shows since year one, love the intimate vibe and downtown option. But they no longer allow chairs, which is beyond ridiculous. I have a bad back and always bring in one. Was told Live Nation changed the policy across the board. FYI.
Kevin H
First time here. They have a variety of food and beverage options! The show as awesome. # CMA Summer Jam
Brian Piccolo
Great venue in the heart of downtown Nashville.
Rebecca Hamby
The main thing I didn't like about this venue is that I waited forever in line to buy a drink only to find out they didn't take cash. No signs were posted stating this either, or I could've saved myself some time. Plus the woman at the concession stand was rude about not taking cash as well.
Gian Vaccaro
The BEST French toast. Great, friendly service. Not fancy which was great bc theres way too many fancy breakfast joints out here. I'd absolutely come back for breakfast
Schuronda Scott
Nice event with a great performer, Barry Scott! Oh and the symphony was a great asset every year on the 4th of July right before the fireworks!
Philip Chaney
Went to see King's of Leon. The location is very nice with a beautiful view on the city itself. Make sure to eat and drink outside though as prices are high
Naomi Pearman
I saw Russ here and really enjoyed it the lawn was so well taken care of. One thing I didn't care for was their customer service employees.
Michelle Lovell
Absolutely 💯 a blast! …
Michele Brundidge
Outdoor concert. Set up for restrooms and eating and drinks was adequate.
Jessica Starr
Went to see 3 doors down with Seether concert, the security screening was quick to get into the gate (15 minutes with about 40 people before my group) finding a spot to sit was quick, merch stand of course was busy so waited till last seether song so there was only 5 people in line with plenty of merchandise left. The staff was friendly and patient, they do run out of drinks and food quickly so recommend to grab something if you plan to get specific items early. Otherwise it was a blast and relaxing night.
Shiga Haruki
I greatly enjoyed the "Beach Party" rendition of Cinderella put on by the Nashville Opera on June 12, 2021. This wouldn't have been possible without the venue. Even though it is only blocks from Broadway / SoBro summertime Saturday night cacophony, the atmosphere of the performance was undisturbed. I really could enjoy the performance and the majestic city-scape without other audible interference-like the city had been muted for my enjoyment of the show. Amazing!
Rochelle White
Was a great time. Saw Jimmy Buffet there, people were fun, workers very helpful 👍 …
High Power
One of best shows I've ever seen. Stage crew were fantastic. Show went flawlessly and sounded great for an outdoor venue.
Crystal Bass
Nice place for a concert. Routinely has $20 tickets for space on the green. On the green you can spread out a bit and the city view above the stage ties it together nicely.
Erich Stogner
My new favorite venue in Nashville. Great views and no matter where you are seated everything you need is close.
Todd Wilson
A great place to see an outdoor concert. Vendors are close, lawn has a gradual slope so it's easy to sit there. Sound was excellent. Thank you Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers for a Friday night blast!
Catherine Anderson
Great venue. CMA Fest stage was awesome. Just wish the drinks weren’t 99% ice and $24
Jennifer Eggleston
Had a blast at the Black Crowes Concert. All the vendors everywhere were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and nice, and the concert was great! Just a friendly reminder to anyone who attends, they are cashless now. I did not see this on the website. Also, ladies, take a clear see through bag so you can take it inside the concert. We also had a T-Mobile app which allowed us to have free chairs to sit in during the concert, which you can also reserve online through their website. All around, a great experience. This was our first adventure after Covid.
Johnathan Sottek
Really fun outdoor venue. Lawn seating is usually pretty cheap and makes for picnic blanket or lawn chair seating with a good view of the stage.
Ryan Medley
Great outside venue for watching your favorite bands
Sandy Royberth
An incredible place to share with friends and family, nice and clean.
Kris Kobylarz
Wonderful place to see a show. Nashville is amazing!
Karen Blake
Great summer event venue. Lots of vendors spread out, nice bathroom facilities, though hot in there.
P. R.
I mean, it's okay. Can't really expect a whole lot from an outdoor venue in the middle of downtown Nashville. They can't crank it up too loud or you'll start scaring all of the liberals. Best advice from a local: get there early, rent your chairs, and claim a spot. Or better yet, pay the extra $$$ and sit in the "reserved" lawn seats. Price gouging on drinks is to be expected. Prepare accordingly.
NDF
Beautiful venue! Great view of the city as the theaters background. Clean, well maintained, good sound, safe! A+
Barker B
It is so wonderful to sit underneath the stars and enjoy wonderful music. It is a great venue. Bring short chairs or a blanket. It is really fun.
Mary Champion
I really enjoyed my experience at the Amphitheater. Sound was great from all angles n distance! Will go there again!
Leah Vogel
Awesome venue. Loved seeing Arctic Monkeys there!
John Ezell
Food and drinks are expensive. It is a great outdoor concert venue. Sold out show wasn't overly crowded, and entry and exit were easy.
Ali
Love this venue. I look forward to seeing more artists perform here post pandemic. I have tickets to several acts in the upcoming months here. Can't wait!
Merrick Harris
I watched the Nashville symphony perform here while the fireworks for July 4th were going off. Very cool experience, and the 1812 Overture was on point 👌🏽. …
Chad Gaston
What an amazing spot to catch your favorite artists perform. Totally rock out in the heart of Nashvegas, so much energy all around you! They even let us in with sealed water, up to a gallon and the water fountain has a bottle fill option on it! No buying expensive bottled water!!!
David Shawver
Ascend has all the right things put in place once people become familiar. Pretty clean area too. Plenty of food options. Plenty of drink options. All options available once you pass the gate. Payment is by card or NFC.. I don't believe anyone in Ascend accepts cash. I also appreciate knowing ahead of time what is allowed as it is somewhat strict. Be familiar with what NOT to bring as things change. Some available knowledge can improve. It would be good to have social media info updated real-time with more details when inclement weather becomes an issue. Phone, keys and wallet only will get you in the express entry. App downloaded but didn't have time to review it. Lightning will stop a concert from starting, but what is the criteria? (x minutes since lightning in 20 mile radius?) Rentals are at the center back white tent. Rental chair pick up after purchasing online is at the far side. Souvenirs are in the food and beer vendor area. Center seats and lawn seem to be the best deals. Overall, amazing experience with perfect sound. Will definitely go again.
Marcie Rodrigues
Florence and the Machine Rocked the house and Pink Princess...impressive. Hot
hmt1019
Great venue! Great seats.
Tim Williams
Very nice venue. Well staffed. Clean and modern facility.
P Rowland
I have seen a few recent concerts here. Great atmosphere with Nashville as a backdrop!
Beverly Stoneman
Great music venue just bring $7 for a bottle of water 😲 HEART was amazing!!! …
Helen theunicorn
I love an outdoor concert venue and this is the best. There’s beautiful views of downtown and the river. The sound is great and there is not a bad seat in the house. Drink prices are high, but that’s common anywhere you go. If you haven’t seen a show here, definitely go!
TurnipFitz
Great venue! So glad I came here. Food is great along with the weird souvenir cups they have too. Bathroom lines are always very short suprisingly.
Benjamin Luthy
Great clean venue. I was worried about sitting in the lawn section, but it was wonderful!
Matthew Owen
Really cool outdoor venue. The atmosphere by the river is great. Since we paid for parking with our tickets, getting in and out was pretty easy. I highly recommend buying parking with tickets. It is not usually any more expensive, and it is much easier. If you wait, you might not find a spot, or you may have to pay extra for "event parking" when the garages are almost full.
Kyle Denton
If you haven't been to a concert here, you are truly missing out. Seats are cool but the lawn is where it's at. You get a beautiful city background with the stars right above.
Andrea Klump
Beautiful layout! The Nashville Symphony was amazing as well as the fireworks. Overall great experience. And it was a huge plus that everyone was very respectful towards each other 🙂 …
Bryant Brabson
Seventeen dollars for a beverage is absolutely punitive. No thanks. Drink before the show if you must. If enough people stop paying these criminal prices then the cost will decrease.
Damian Neal
Great venue! Well maintained. Loved the atmosphere in the city. We were there on a perfect night. We stretched out on a blanket and took our shoes off and enjoyed the perfect lawn on a May evening with great music. Going to try to catch a show here again very soon!
Gina Brooks
The best venue for a fall night! Sound is awesome and lawn seats are perfect! Pack a blanket and enjoy!I
Sherry Turrentine
This is a great venue but our concert was July 6th & all the seats were covered in fireworks residue from the 4th of July celebration. The seats were filthy. Be warned if you are the first ones in after July 4th!
Alex Upton
Easily one of the best live music venues in Nashville. Not a bad seat in the house, and the skyline looks great in the background. I've also always had good experiences with the event staff. Being an outdoor venue, volume levels are limited as a courtesy to downtown residents, but this is definitely a plus as it always feels like the music isn't too loud to hold a conversation but loud enough to focus on the music and hear everything. Shows also usually end around 10 PM which is a plus for some.
alexander bullock
John legend Was great here. the beer was 15 bucks yikes and I didn't even look at cocktails prices. Please pre game then drink after wards. Tell your wallet I said your welcome
Janet Johnson
Great venue. Didn't like the way they handled rain before the concert.
Dustin Dowdy
Great venue and great location.
Aaron Riede Stone
Seen Vampire Weekend with some friends. Amazing experience and will remember forever.
Rachael Hensley
Great venue but the beer is too expensive!
jennifer huffine
I love this venue so much! It's like a little miniature Starwood lol. So thankful to have Ascend and to be born and raised here in Nashville. Looking forward to seeing many, many, many more shows here!!!
Chris Booker
Great size amphitheater, large enough that you don't feel on top of one another, but small enough that the acoustics sound great!
Aaron “Spike” Bender
Awesome venue for live concerts. Been there many times over the years and it seems to get better and better. The lawn is a great spot as well as all the seating. You can see the stage from every angle. Great place to go enjoy!
Tyler McG
Great venue! Upgraded to the Bud Light Party Deck and it was well worth it. Just an additional $25 per person and you'll have your own private bar and your just 30ft away from concessions, food trucks and rest rooms. Corn Hole and rocking chairs, what else could you ask for? lol..
Especially if you have lawn tickets. You may be in the back but you're elevated so you don't have to worry about trying to look over top of other people. Can't wait to return!
Kalina Myers
Everything inside the venue is incredibly expensive, but you can bring your own (unopened) water bottles. Domestic beer is $13.95 a can though, and that's the cheapest alcohol gets there.
The venue itself is great. Sound was excellent, getting in the gate was really fast and efficient, and lawn seating had a great view of the stage.
James Ren
Great venue especially when it's a nice night in Nashville!
Martin Tate
Well then managed venue with adequate security, housekeeping personnel, and even a smoking area.
Philip Thompson
Facility is fabulous. Great sound. Good layout. Food and beverage selection only OK. Could be better and more reasonably priced. Parking can be a real challenge. Better to take an Uber. The concerts here are really good. Lots of easily recognizable artists. Many bars in immediate area to hop before and after concerts.
Peter Candelaria
Great venue and short beer lines!
Martina Johnson
One of my favorite Nashville venues. I have been here twice and have not been disappointed. Both times I have sat in the grass and I love it. It's nice to bring food and a blanket to have a picnic while enjoying some good music.
Pay close attention to the food, drink, and chair regulations. This can be found on the website under policies.
Momma Bear
This was my first visit to the Ascend Amphitheater. I couldn't have had a better experience. The staff at the venue were so kind and helpful. They were laid back. But the presence of security was visible enough to prevent any bad experiences. Not a bad seat in the venue. Loved the free wifi!
Vinayak M
It was a great place n a great concert
Wade Allen
Love this venue! Sitting out on the lawn for General Admission was such a great experience. We brought snacks (look up the rules, everything in Ziploc bags!) but also visited the vendors. They're a bit pricey, but what do you expect?
Up front in the seats seems like a great place to get close to an artist, but laying on a blanket out on the lawn was one of my favorite ways to enjoy a concert.
Amanda Dickenson
I have been to Ascend twice now. The assigned seating section is pretty small, food and drinks are outrageous like at any concert, and their smoking area is way too small. The good things, which I think outweigh the bad, are the GM grass section is huge and the stage can be clearly viewed and heard from wherever u sit. The atmosphere is really relaxed. The best part was, as I said, the sound quality is amazing no matter where u are.
Russell Brinson
From what I understand this was the first concert at this Amphitheatre sense COVID started, Jimmy Bufett was amazing. He is truly a legend. The theater was packed and there was no covid protocols or at least if there was supposed to be there was none evident. The prices for anything was extremely expensive. I sort of expected that ahead of time but was a little shocked about howmuch you had to pay for just a can of water, $5. All in all it was a great experience. Just expect to pay a lot for it.
Chuck Slack
I work event security there and it is an excellent venue for live entertainment.
Cindy Grinder
Not a happy camper. it rained. They made us leave
Then let us back in. Only to miss all of sting. Not happy
Renee Hymes
#CMASummerJam... My first concert experience in years. "Awesome" Crossed off my bucket list to see Blake and Gwen Shelton. I need more than one song from Gwen see her in Vegas 10/27... 👄 …
Jennifer Luck Knox
Such a great music venue!!! Also it's a free public park during the day, so anyone can just go and enjoy the views of Nashville if a concert isn't going on 👍 and these strawberry daiquiris were pretty good! The souvenir guitar cup came with it for $15.50...not too bad considering a "double" drink in a plastic throw away cup was $19. …
Kim Laun
This is one of the best venues in the area to see a show. I've been here 5 times and loved every minute of it. The lawn is always a good time and there is great sound without being in the close seats. I will always look for my hands playing here. We love Nashville.
Joe Benza
Great acoustics and location! Don't listen to the complainers, if you like a unique venue - this is it. The seating is completely fine, you can see the stage from all angles. I can't speak on behalf of the lawn seats, but it's a cool spot for sure.
dj dalton
Great spot for a concert. I really enjoyed my time there in downtown Nashville. Parking is not good like any other downtown but the walk over the pedestrian bridge over the river make the walk pleasant. The venue had plenty of spots for food and drinks and bathrooms were not too far away. Outdoor arena = no seating but still a cool spot.
Johnny Wagnon
Saw Tenacious D here last night and it was awesome! Great stage and seating along with great sound!
jeannie weber
I love this venue. The prices for drinks and food are insane though. I understand the need to make a profit but you can buy 12 white claws for $16.
William Callaway
Awesome venue, good ticket prices for lawn access that has great views. Never overcrowded, great food and drink selections (although pretty pricey, but to be expected). Bring a low seat (seat must be <9 inches from ground) lawn chair, kick back and enjoy fantastic shows.
Brian Robinson
Great, very comfortable outdoor venue. Traditional seating, a pit area, and an open field for byo chair.
Kristen Motil
Jack White concert was amazing and to be honest I'm glad I don't have photos to share because it was way better experiencing it in #real life
W David Stevenson
Great venue for concerts. Beautiful views of Nashville. Close to downtown and convenient. Pregame before as beers and drinks are expensive! Arrive early to get through security and secure general admission spot. Make sure your chairs are approved (height).
Ryan Hendrix
Great outdoor venue to see a show.
WILLY Gomez
Nice place to see concerts, I will say there is not a bad seat, and there is a lawn where you can bring your chair or blanket, the sound is awesome and all the areas are clean. The only bad thing are that been an open venue to are at the mercy of the weather, and one more is that the beers are crazy expensive, for the rest is good.
rob weir
An amazing view of the city and a well laid out arena. The grade down to the stage is perfectly done so everyone has a good view of the performance (so long as everyone is standing or seated). Multiple bathroom locations with food trucks as well as regular concession. We went on a night with perfect weather and I had not been more comfortable in an outdoor venue in my life. 10/10 would go again.
Hollie Watson
One of my favorite places to enjoy a concert! With lawn seating bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy the concert with friends in the great outdoors. I will warn that their food prices are expensive so you might want to eat ahead of time...the last time I went I got chicken tenders and they were disgusting and priced waaaay too high!
Michael Frost
Great sound, great views, great show. We didn't even need to rent chairs, the grass was great to sit on and once the show started no one was sitting down. The view of the skyline from the lawn is incredible and definitely makes this venue a must visit.
laurie hackett
Awesome venue! Max capacity is 6k plus. Get there early for the perfect lawn spot. I recommend further up the hill. Restrooms, food, and alcoholic beverages close! Gets crowded lower on the grass. Hard to walk through. Security staff and venue staff very courteous and knowledgeable!
Sharon F.
The music was great, loved the bands I paid to see! I was quite surprised at the cost for extras: $5 for a bottle of water, $15 for large premium beer, $15 to rent to chairs plus the $20 to park 2 blocks away. The worst part of the night was the multiple groups of people carrying on conversations while the bands were playing. Not only was it annoying but extremely rude on their part. If 1 pays to see a concert than that's what 1 should expect but not at the Ascend...this was one of my worst concert experiences.
Austin Webb
This was awesome. The outside concert theatre was everything I hoped for. It was a cool night in July (I know right!) And I saw Chic and Duran Duran and I saw everything, heard everything, and was pretty comfortable watching it. I had a front row grass seat and it was $28 each for this show. I could never beat that price again for the seat I got. The beer was OUTRAGEOUS so I didn't drink a drop. I refuse to pay $11.50 for a can of beer, are you insane? Lower that down for 5 stars. If you want a good seat though, you better be there an hour and a half before gates open though, which that hurts your feet. I was impressed though, it was great!
Kimberly Pierce
Lovely event! Great seeing LIVE performances again!
♡ Alicia Keys!!
Michelle Sieler
I love this venue! Great views, greets lawn. The only two negatives are expensive drinks and a poorly designed entrance prone to bottlenecking at show time. Arrive early (at or before doors time) if you wanna get inside and get settled prior to your favorite band taking the stage!
F sponseller
Good place to see a show, but $17 for a truly?
JILL MCKELLAN
This is an amazing amphitheater to see a concert at. Went to Nashville, based on going to see Train, Goo Goo Dolls, and Allen Stone here. Not that I sat a lot, but the chairs are amazing, the sound phenomenal, and all the vendors were so fun and friendly. I didn't see a face less than delighted around me and it was a sold out show. I cannot wait to get back to Nashville and take in some other shows at this venue.
Also note: the location is great!
Sarah Hendricks
Best outdoor concert venue in Nashville! This is a great location to watch a show from the heart of downtown. I've been to multiple venues around town and this is my favorite! I love catching an outdoor show here when the weather is nice. Not a bad seat in the house! Highly recommend you check it out! Allowed to bring blankets to sit on the lawn. No outside food or drink allowed.
Chance Eblen
Florence + The Machine was absolutely mesmerizing and awesome!
Carolina Duran
The lack of organization is unbelievable, we had to wait almost 2 hours to get in, to get things even worse they create a bottle neck at the entrance so by the time we finally got in one of the bands was finishing up. :/
Heath Hatcher
Love to hang out in our very own riverside amphitheater. Nashville is lucky to have it.
Dawn Cain
Great venue! We sat on the grass and I was still very happy with the sound. You can bring low-sitting beach chairs or rent them on-site.
The reason for the missing star - the drink prices were insane! $18 for a tall cider, and 14 for a tall Budweiser! I was floored.
Jeffrey Riehl
We came to this venue for Charlie Puth and it was excellent! It was perfect for an evening concert. The view of the stage from the back grass field wasn’t great, but the skyline behind made up for it. The monitors helped to see the stage action. We had seats in front for the main performance and it was unreal. Leaving the venue was quick and easy! I would really like to return to this venue for another show!
Lauren Heffernan
Nice venue. If you're on the lawn, move to the end closer to Nissan stadium and the sound from this show won't bounce off the buildings in the back of the lawn so much.
jess S
It was a little unorganized on the layout. Could have been a better experience if they had half the lawn for chairs and the other half for standing
Michael Cook
Great location in the heart of Nashville.
Kevin White
First time at Ascend and we saw Judah and the Lion and it was fantastic! Such a great outdoor music venue. Drink prices are ridiculously expensive but I suppose that was to be expected. It was easy getting in and out and it really didnt matter where you sat as anywhere provided a great view and the sound was crisp. I would love to go see another show there. Highly recommend it!
Felita Ransom
The theatre is fantastic. The sound and light are great. Whatever type of show, there's not a bad seat in the house. You will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the variety of food and drinks give you plenty of choices.
Uriah Rogers
I like the venue. Pretty cool looking place. But charging $13.25 for a beer amongst other ridiculous prices makes one not care for the place that much. They let you bring in one water with you. If you bring a chair it has to be a certain height, otherwise you can rent one for $10. I will say staff I dealt with all seemed pretty nice.
Jason Mullens
Came here to see Anderson East. The venue is very nice with a lot of variety between seating areas. The sound & acoustics were great for an outdoor venue. The only potential drawback for some may be the seating. We upgraded when renting lawn chairs so figured why not. I'm a larger athletic build & the seats were a little cramped for me, but luckily no one sat beside me.
Nan Ray
Nice venue with enough leg room between each row. Enjoyed seeing the Kings of Leon there. Great location too in downtown Nashville
Teresa Brown
Had an awesome time at the Ascend Amphitheater tonight!! Chicago and REO SPEEDWAGON was awesome!!
Jay Bradley Rephan
Nice intimate atmosphere. Audience is on an incline downward towards the stage, creating even better acoustics... a fab feature to have especially in a true "Amphitheater" so cool to have this smack dab downtown Nashville! Awesome experience.
Matthew Noel
This venue is purpose built and lives up to my every expectation. It was packed during a recent show and there was still no wait for restrooms and minimal wait for vendors. Nice job on balancing supply with demand!
The security screening was thorough and fast, so there was minimal wait time during peak entry before the show.
And you know Nashville parking, so plan on walking a long ways OR park further out and get a Lyft right to the venue entrance. They do have $30 vip parking right now (07/19).
This has become my new favorite venue.
Bryan Wall
This is a great venue. It was really hot, but by the time the show started the sun was behind the buildings downtown so it wasn't uncomfortable. They handle lines better than anywhere else I've been, both checking tickets to get in and the food vendors. Lines moved quickly.
H GalaxySIII
Nice outdoor setting for live music. Kinda small but easy to access.
Nathan
Fantastic spot to watch a show. I've sat on the grass and there's plenty of room during a sold out show to spread out a bit. They don't expect you to be on top of each like other venues.
the farthest grass seats still have a great view!
Cyndee Barkley
Great place to see a show! Great location-- easy walk from most hotels downtown. Friendly staff and great environment to see a concert. Jimmy Buffet was Amazing!
c turner
Attend many concerts there and have never had a bad experience. Rent the chairs, it's worth it. Also sit close to the people on front of you if you dont want there to be a track of people walking between you and the next row. Multiple places to get drinks and food make it convenient too!
Sarah Cox
Venue was amazing. Drinks overpriced of course, lol, but the music and views are amazing.
Eboni Grant
So far, every concert that I've been to here has been great. Lawn seats are awesome. Rent lawn chairs, 2 for $15. Expensive drinks like all venues. Express check in lane if you have no bags. Several food options.
Anthony Bingert Jr
A great place to see a show. Drinks are comically expensive though.
Winter W
I went there for Jason Mraz concert. That beer is $15.
Sara Croft
I've seen a few shows at this venue. Santana, Beck, and others. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. The lawn seats are what I've always gotten and they've never failed me. You can bring your own blankets or low sitting beach chairs for the lawn. But they also have lawn chairs for rent. Outside of the lawn, there are fixed fold out seats in front of the lawn and a "pit" area in front of those seats/ right in front of the stage. Nothing but the stage is covered with a roof and all shows I've been to are "rain or shine." This place is worth it and is a block away from the busy Broadway street of bars and restaurants.
