Reviews of The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts
Julie Minerbo
Love this place! Beautiful venue for a show. Very glitzy and elegant. If you have to be in the Mezzanine, try to be in the first row! Saw Mary Poppins here & it was amazing! Love how the elevators have operators. It gets a bit toasty on the Mezzanine and lots of stairs. Parking next door, in back of the Hobby center, was $15. Only 1 elevator, in the parking garage was working, so we got some exercise. Very cool how Mary Poppins was suspended, on wires, and flew up to the Mezzanine, from the stage. Cast very diverse, including kids with disabilities.

I've been to other venues (Smart Financial Center, Cynthia Woods pavilion, ect) and this by far was the most comfortable and convenient. Plenty leg space, seating and refreshment areas a few steps away and a parking garage just a short walk away. Cool comfortable atmosphere as it was 101° outside that day so that was a definite plus. We watched the Music Of Whitney Houston played by the Houston Symphony Orchestra and thoroughly enjoyed the show. I look forward to coming back for more great entertainment.

First time going to the hobby center for a concert and it was fantastic! This was my 6th concert this year and hobby center was the first place that was efficient and got everyone in ON TIME! They were so organized. I had only been to hobby center for musicals previously and I was hoping it would be as efficient for musicals and it was! Everyone was so nice. The venue even made a drink after one of the songs. Like that hobby center is branching out. Would def go back for a concert in the future. Also not a bad seat in the house.

Wonderful place to visit to view live performances and orchestral scores. Great staff and a lovely auditorium. I attended the Final Fantasy Orchestra with a great selection of memorabilia to purchase. A rich atmosphere and sight to behold! Great for families. Well done!
Amirah Busairi
Went here for the Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds concert. Parking was convenient. It was easy to find our seats in the hall. Seats are comfy too! During intermission, there was someone helping with people flow in the ladies' restroom and that was really great help to get us in and out fast, even with the queue. Overall, a very well managed center/theater. Thank you!

Ive been here a dozen times or more always organized and the staff is always helpful. I will say the the profit margin on the drinks have to be aleast 85%, much higher price than I was thinking but at least they are strong. The talent here is always amazing and the Houston synonym always provides a huge sound with excellent timing and nuance! They always do and exceptional job no matter the capacity of the performance from plays to musicals.

We went to see the Moulin Rouge musical March 2023. It was our first visit at this theater and my first musical ever. I had a great experience overall. The staff were all friendly and helpful from the security, to the bar tenders, to the people directing the bathroom flow and the people helping you find your seat. Amazing customer service. We parked at Tranquility Parking across the street which was super easy to get to the theater because they connect underground. There was no traffic getting in our out that parking lot. Thanks for making my first musical a great experience!
Sam Mason
Easy access, especially with valet parking. Free if you drive a Lexus vehicle. Valet is directly in front of building. Staff very helpful and accommodating to handicapped and disabled. Metal detectors at entrance. Large upstairs lobby for refreshments. Elevators slow, but, mist use stairs. Comfortable seats, temperature and sight lines. Balcony seating available. Nice venue.
Gina Lintag
Loved everything but the price of snacks...a cup of soda (not even the whole can) with ice and a small bag of chips amounts to $8 is ridiculous. Thrilled my daughter enjoyed the show. It was her first time here.

First time going to any broadway musical. it was an amazing performance, very creative and outstanding. it worth time and money. I sat orchestra area and the price it is between 75 to 90. I wish i had done more closer. But the actors and performance was perfect. They sell snack/drinks quite expensive but it is business. in addition to the they sell item related to the musical. my daughter got a frozen doll.
Savannah Morello
One of my favorite locations in Houston! The city is beautiful, and this building is so much fun. Plus, the TUTS shoes are always impressive and usually clean. We just saw Mary Poppins, and it blew us away. My favorite TUTS show I’ve seen for sure!
Joy Lamb
Let's do this. Very first time at this venue. It is very NICE might I add. I travel quite often and have been to plenty concerts, stage plays, comedy shows etc. To know that you MUST have parking lot attendees to assist on the outside with traffic flow. If the venue doesn't provide. Then Houston Police 🚔 Department should have had officers out that evening assisting with traffic. They knew this stage play was coming to town. We waited over an hour in traffic trying to get in because traffic. Missed the first 15mins of play due to this. We left an hour in half early to make sure we were on time. We were very disappointed with the parking at this venue. That was the only thing I could not get passed.
Michael Palau
An incredible theatre showcasing some of the best plays and musicals. Fair parking and food in the surrounding area, great seats, and good acoustics all around.
Be prepared for walking up and down large staircases however, especially during the intermission bathroom rush.
Cheiyenne Jimenez
Came here for moulin rouge!!! Such a beautiful venue omg! The show was incredible, outstanding actors and actresses! Incredible set design and costumes!! Seats are little small/cramped and it cost 50 dollars to get 2 glasses of wine and 2 water bottles(I figured it would be expensive) staff was very nice and told us where we needed to be! Will be returning
Greg Andrews
Beautiful facility and great, friendly staff!! Jessica (volunteer) is amazing!! Have seen many shows here before, just after and now post-Covid. The staff and facility do a great job in keeping everyone safe and things flowing smoothly. The chairs are comfortable and appear to be newly covered because the backs have more padding in them and there are cup holders. Don’t remember the cup holders before the show this past weekend. The parking seriously stinks because it has taken over an hour to empty the garage after shows. If they would staff the garage… and block the center crossovers… they could make both the Up and Down directions empty to 2 different sides of the garage. Bigger shows like Hamilton are great in the theatre but a serious pain to leave afterwards.
The refreshments staffing needs to be beefed up for the mezzanine level. It’s actually faster to go to the ground floor, get refreshments and come back up during intermission.
Cal M.
Suuper nice venue! Comfortable seats (although i was standing most of the time) They sell food and drinks (alcoholic and non) which are a little pricey but theres no outside food or drink allowed.
G R (gifti3)
The theater is really pretty! It can feel a bit cramped though but I had no problem seeing the stage from the back! (Left Gallery row G)
Christopher Tidmore
Saw Moulin Rouge tonight and the staff was wonderful in helping us get to our seats and settled. We were in the lower Mezzanine and very impressed with the view. The sound was great throughout the show and the addition of newer songs felt perfect in the right places.
Rhonda Cameron
I took my daughter and granddaughter to see Frozen and we had a blast. We had perfect seats and all the staff members were helpful and sweet.
RENE SCHLEIN
The venue was awesome but one of their ushers told my Dad and I to go up 4 flights of stairs ti our seats and they were actually 3 feet around the corner from where he was standing. My dad is 87 so this was not easy and very ibcinceniebt. The venue still deserves 5 stars and "Hadestown" was a great performance.
Alex Yang
Came here for a G-IDLE concert. Very plush seating with clear view of the stage. If you are here for a loud concert where people tend to stand up, do not sit behind someone tall or you won't be able to see anything.
Elizabeth Martinez
What a fantastic show! Loved the modern music take. Great view even from very top. Great experience overall! Valet filled up quick btw.
RikkiLyn Edge
First of all, I love how dark the theater gets & the temperature was just right! But.... THAT PARKING! Definitely need clearer directions on where to, how to get to (etc.) park. You really NEED TO ARRIVE EARLY. Also, we stopped 3 times to ask how to get out of the building. Clearer paths to parking garages would be nice, too. Refreshments for a flat $5 cash only makes it quick & easy to fly through not only the line, but also another $20-$40.
I love the shows, thank you Hobby Center for bringing them to Houston!
Kami Huyse
We went to watch the new musical Secret of My Success. I love attending Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) shows at the Hobby Center.
Heather Marie
Great place to catch a musical! Amazing experience every time we go there.
MJ Riggs
This is a fabulous venue! We sat in the orchestra to see Moulin Rouge and loved it. There isn't a bad seat in the house as it's a relatively small venue.
Lauren Smith-Williams
Amazing as always!!! We absolutely LOVE the Hobby Center! I've been going since I was a teenager with my parents! Now I go as often as I can. This is the best theater!
Luis Quintero
Always an amazing time visiting, staff is always helpful & polite, well lit areas &y our truly enjoy your time at the Hobby Center, came to see Six the Musical on 11/16/2022 & highly recommend if the Musical comes back to Houston, it's a must see..
Dale Bender
Excellent tribute concert to John Denver. Sound was good and the venue temperature was good.
Colleen Schmidt
Also enjoy. Parking is the biggest hurdle, sometimes it's easier to take Lyft. $15 for parking and lines after show are long for elevator.
The theater itself is fine. I'm heavy set and find seats still comfortable.
Larry Miller Jr
Absolutely loved it!!!!! Went on a date with my Fiancée to see SIX The Musical and absolutely loved it. Very clean, and the staff are very helpful.
Christina A
This is a really nice venue with easy in and easy out. The acoustics were terrific. My only suggestion is that seats to the far right and far left Are not used for certain shows when they will block the majority of it. I understand obstructed views, I really do. But complete obstruction is really not a great experience. So my experience was terrific but my friend did not have the same.
Loree Bynum
Amazing venue - can’t wait to come back again!! Love the valet parking and easy I-45 access 🤩 …
L V
Always a solid experience at the Hobby Center. We have sat just about everywhere, definitely seeing a theater production on the lower level helps the experience. You can see and hear so much better. TUTS is amazing. Never disappointed.
Dennie Clemons
Easy entrance and exit for average human. ADA challenged though. No bottled water from outside. Purses and bags are searched. Metal detectors at entrance.
Sher
Chicago was an amazing performance! We had a great time Under the Stars.
Juan Huerta
Saw Chicago with the family. Great show! Staff was friendly and all the facilities were clean and well kept. We sat in the furthest back rows because we were there with children, but we were still able to see and hear everything.
T Hayes
I enjoyed my first play at the hoppy. The venue had a nice atmosphere, adequate seating and good sound. I am average height and wished the seat had more leg room.
Kathy Cook
I enjoyed Mary Poppins very much! Great production, Hobby center parking is convenient and easy.
Ricardo Castillo Jr
Great venue. Bar on every level. Leaving the parking garage after the shoh can take some time so pack your patient
Mariah Washington
Seen at least twenty shows here and never disappointed. Lovely venue with great sound, excellent staff. I do wish there were more parking choices (or at least a faster parking exit after shows). But I understand its downtown and theres a lack of space. We will be back! And since this review was written we have seen 6 more shows here!
Rosie Garza
Went to see The Six, love it. The staff was amazing. Answered questions, took photos, directed people over and over. They were really great. You can't get lost and you are sure to have a great time.
ofelia johnson
My Niece took me to see "SIX" and the show was fabulous, we both really enjoyed it!!! The Hobby Center was really nice and organized!!! The only problem we had was getting out of the parking lot, but it's something you can't help!!! The "SIX" is a must see play, you would really love it!!!
Baldwin Chelsia
Came here to see the moulin rouge and loved it. The audio had itself a moment but it got fixed just as quick so no complaints here! I wish they had popcorn though. There's alcohol all day everyday but sometimes a girl doesn't want alcohol or candy just some fresh popcorn.
Brenda Souza
It's always a terrific experience seeing a show here
Dave Dudziak
This was our 3rd time here, The performance, Chicago, was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is the seats. The velvet does not allow you to easily shift, and I am tall, but not wide/big...the seat width is smaller than an airplane or roller coaster's. The cup holders being on each arm literally trap you and you have push and twist to get out. The cup holders would be better on the seat backs in front of you.
Coleman Tucker
If JCS comes to a theater near you, GO! We went twice in the same weekend because it's amazing!
Sam Hall
Mary Poppins was awesome. Very highly recommended! Superb venue.
Christina Fondren
Watched SIX today and it was awesome! I was concerned I might not enjoy it because R&B/Pop isn't my favorite but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The costuming was fantastic!
J. Craig Hood
We went to see Moulin Rouge. Great venue for live theater. All seats have a great view of the stage. Comfortable seats. Concession and restroom limes move very quickly. Plenty of parking near the theater.
Sc_Crew_Family
The hobby center is the perfect date night stop! With affordable seats for just about anyone, quality shows, and food/drinks onsite— what more does a date night need? Grab your boo and catch a show!
Stephen Schwartz
My wife and I have seen many shows @ the Hobby Center and they've been GREAT. The reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is because of the valet service they offer. It costs $25 (which in my opinion is a bit high) but that's not the reason for 3 stars either, the 3 star rating is because Lexus is one of the sponsors of the show we saw (Mary Poppins) and if you have a Lexus, the valet service is complimentary and your Lexus (which is why I give this review 3 and not 4 stars) is brought up front to it's owner within 5 mins, and ALL other vehicles that owners paid $25 are bottom/low priority to be brought to there owners. Having to wait almost 30 minutes to get my Hyundai back from the valet is REDICULOUS. TUT'S, please fix this problem. I'm attending at least 2 more shows in 2023 and most likely I will park my own vehicle because of the Lexus priority BS
Arzan Sam Wadia
Nice gall for Broadway shows. Sound was loud and blaring. Could do with a professional tune up.
Parking garage was extremely busy and it took us an hour to get out.
Logan Boon
Awesome venue. Clean, well set up and maintained, great staff. Drinks are more expensive than nice bars and restaurants though.
Gary Bailey
Another great performance at the Hobby Center - this time Mary Poppins. This is such a nice venue, with easy parking and plenty of close by restaurants.
Shana Trahan
Hobby center is always clean with professional staff. It's always a pleasure to go. We went to see New Jack City, the stage play brought to us by the masterful JeCaryous Johnson. The show provided excellent nuances of the film. It was almost like watching the film. Keep bringing the wonderful shows JeCaryous.
Kathleen Alcala
This is a great venue. Good sound quality and great seats. I would valet if you chose to attend an event. It was east to get in the door and they have plenty of friendly staff to answer any questions and direct you to your seats.
gary spangler
The seats were really tight and very narrow. The view was great I was 2 seats off of the aisle in the mid orchestra area and the view was great.
Connie B
Such a beautiful and charming theater with the most cordial and friendly hosts. A true jewel in the sparkling crown of Houston's fine theater district.
Chula Shula
Great Show/Great Atmosphere. The location was perfect with plenty of off-street parking. The drinks were reasonably priced.
Steven Swanner
Theater itself is nice enough. I don't think we needed a bar setup in the crowded restroom hallway under the orchestra. Wish people would put more effort to their theater clothing instead of NFL logo sweatshirts and athletic shorts.
T. J. Mills
The venue is nice, parking garage next door was convenient, but the seats were terribly uncomfortable and narrow.
Blaine Cowen
Great theater. Quick bar service, helpful ushers. Loved every show I’ve been to here.
Magi lera
Unmatched by any other theatre around.
Drinks/food are EXPENSIVE! I literally paid $50 for two double-shot drinks.
Still, the experience is amazing so I'm not taking a star!
Jarrod Harris
Great experience. Refreshments are pricey, but that's expected. Wonderful ambiance. Professional courteous staff. The cast was impeccable. Always have an amazing experience here!
Tabitha Davis
You know how some places you visit for theater and no matter where you sit, the view is awesome? Welp, not so much here. But overall it's a nice theater.
Nathaniel Edwards
Good experience with family. From parking to the entrance and back the staffs courtesy was excellent. My wife and I had mobility issues that day and a staff member pulled up in a golf cart and gave us a ride to the parking garage.
Lynn Shigekawa
Powerful performance of Chicago. Good docents. Wonderful free valet parking for Lexus drivers.
Sally Molina
Chicago was soooooo good! They had an after-show conversation with some cast members, and we were allowed to ask questions. Learned a lot!
Paul Cammarata
Nice theater for a variety of traveling shows that come to town. Expect to spend some time parking and navigating to the level that you purchased. Food and adult beverages are available pre show and during the show. The theater is well staffed and usually the ushers are very friendly.
Cheryl Baxter
The sound in this theater is great. A lot of crowds, especially waiting for the bathroom, but that is true everywhere. Really enjoyed the rock opera.
Devin Prejean
Beautiful place! Two things, dress fancy unless it's a production that wouldn't deem it necessary. And be ready to spend $$$ for drinks if you want them.
Margaret Freeman
Went to see 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and terribly disappointed in the sound system. Might have missed close to 50% of the lyrics due to sound distortion. I've seen other productions/musicals there and had no complaints.
Collins Shumona
The atmosphere and abundance are elegant and enchanting! I loved the restaurant and the food! We enjoyed the night!
Dr J
The Hobby center was nice. However, the place is in dire need of more adequate free self parking for visitors and should definitely offer more FREE shows and positive family events catered towards the diverse residents and underserved communities of Houston. When only those in a particular economic group level can benefit from your show offerings and there are entire other economic groups being disadvantaged and cut off from experiencing those same show offerings and performing arts based on fees, prices, charges, and affordability then reform and revitalization is needed within your organization to ensure equality is being obtained for all. Everyone and all families should be able to experience and have access to the same shows and offerings regardless of their income or socioeconomic status. We have to create the change that is needed‼️

Went to see Hamilton on Mar. 12, and it was amazing! Not only was the show of superior quality, the Hobby Center itself was one of the best live theater experiences I've had in a long time. Parking was directly behind the building and super easy to find; although it was $15 to park, that's very reasonable considering the close proximity to the theater and the fact that it was a parking garage. When we got near the front of the building and found a long line of people waiting to get in, an employee came around and told us that there were several more entrances in the front, most of which had no line. We showed our Covid vaccine cards, went through security, and found our seats with plenty of time to spare before the show. Be aware, though, that proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result is REQUIRED in order to get in, and you MUST wear a face mask at all times. I loved having Hamilton masks that we could show off while we were there. ☺️
R Jack
They have a parking garage and valet parking. The elevators are slow so had to take the stairs up five flights. The nose bleed seats are ok... bring binoculars.
Anthony Thomas
Upper seats are extremely small, but the experience is pleasant overall. Went to see Frozen with wifey.
Chris “Slayer”
Went and say South Pacific. The play was very entertaining and enjoyable. My family invited my girlfriend and I we sat in row QQ on the right orchestra side. Great seats I will definitely attend another musical!
Kimberly Barrett
My daughter and I attended Mean Girls last night. This venue knows what they are doing! Parking was easy to access and I feel like $15 is reasonable. The line for merchandise was quick and efficient. The concessions staff were very friendly and being able to order ahead for intermission snacks and beverages was incredible. Our drinks and snacks were waiting when we returned from the restroom at intermission so we could bypass the line. And the women’s restrooms…. I’ve been to theaters all around the country and this place runs their ladies room like a well oiled machine. May have felt a bit like a herd of cattle but with a massive crowd and winding line we were done in way less than 10 minutes. I would love to return some day.
S Youngb
The Hobby Center - Sarofim Theater was absolutely fantastic. We'd love to go back soon.
Sabrina
A wonderful venue! The hobby center knows how to be effective and efficient. Their bathroom procedures were so quick there was no line. They have booster seats for the little ones. The parking garage was no chaotic. Every procedure was super smooth and made for an enjoyable experience
Matt Adamson
Loved the experience, theater is beautiful, service was excellent, ushers were polite. Can't wait to come back!
sherry chappell
The kids had the time of their lives VIP passes city lights, Great Magic 🇺🇸🌟🌠 …
Katana D.
Great place! Went to New Jack City live. Great staff! Parking was 15.00. Drinks were good. Very clean!
Verenda Hodge
I want to thank an employee by the name of Jennifer Goodman. Jennifer provided exemplary customer service today. She assisted me with tickets for the entire season. I was unhappy with my seat for Hadestown. That won't be my problem anymore thanks to Jennifer! She made me feel like I mattered. Thank you so much Jennifer!
Michale Noll
HADES TOWN was great! Staging worked well in this operetta style show. Musicians were superb and cast performance was likewise. It is a must
Experience event!
Theresa Robertson
We saw Moulin Rouge and it did not disappoint. They were offering a special drink at the Bar called a Green Fairy which was really good too.
Keith Gray
Awesome venue for Broadway style shows. Acoustics were great, amazing lighting effects. Definitely a must go in Houston.
John Andrews
Excellent Venue! Love this theatre. Very comfortable, they really know how to put on a show!
Victoria S
Always a great experience here. The staff is great, the building is beautiful, and the cast and crew never disappoint. The production level isn’t quite Broadway, but the talent is there!
Aidan McMahan
Beautiful place, the play it saw friday night was great, not a huge fan of being funneled into a metal detector and being told to empty my pockets, or the $5 bottle of water, like excuse me i paid $200 for these tickets, but all and all I had a great time.
A2 F2
Nice place. Good sound, every seat had a good view. But seriously, $5 for a bottle of water??
Wilma van Oostendorp
So much fun to go see a musical. Parking is easy in the adjacent garage and wherever you are seated, you have a clear view of the stage.
Rudi Gomez
The play was great, the musicians were amazing and the acoustics were fabulous. The drinks were expensive as hell and the seats were lacking space and comfort
Jamie Myer
The place to go for dinner before a show at the Hobby. The food was really good, and the staff were on it to ensure you were in and out in time. I was pleasantly surprised at what a good experience I had here.
C Guss
First, let me say this theater is absolutely gorgeous on the inside as well as the outside. The building is very handicap accessible and friendly. Also, the stage props, sound system, and the vibrance of the Frozen storyline was so AWESOME!!!! Secondly, their staff in the red vests and yellow shirts were amazing, caring and very helpful. Lastly, this was our first time attending a show, but it will not be the last!!! I recommend this experience!!!
Susan Hudspeth
I had an error with my ticket, my error, not the center, and they very graciously corrected it for me. Elizabeth and everyone I encountered was so helpful and polite. We saw "Six" and our experience was great.
Dr. Duane Johnson
An excellent experience parking and watching, "Winnie the Pooh" at the Hobby Center.
Kel V
Great venue! Beautiful layout and clear sound throughout. Hard not to appreciate the full scope of this wonderful establishment!
William Gilliam
Sarofim Hall is one of the most beautiful theaters in texas. Seeing Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Love Never Dies" was the second time i've seen a broadway show here, and the view from mezzanine center was amazing. The acoustics are world-class, and it sounded like they could have gone without microphones if they had to. Parking is easy just like all of the theater district, park underground and walk up, make note of which staircase you used and mark it on your map. IE: "parking stairs K, down two flights and to the left of the door"
sophia Dubique
Omg, Mary Poppins was amazing, a must see.
Melissa
Beautiful center, nice restrooms. Entry was well organized, however, intermission seemed a bit chaotic. I am hot natured and while I was cool in the lobby, it was too warm for me during the production. Luckily, even on a cool evening event, I wore a sleeveless dress with a sweater that I was able to remove. Our seats were in Central Orchestra, Row U, seats 103 & 104.
Sidney Sykes
Beautiful venue. Garage parking right next to building. Easy access out to I-45 North.
Ella Xu
Amazingly constructed to have a warm atmosphere while also having a modern flare. The sculptures are also interesting to interpret, and the endless hallways of broadway paintings is unforgettable. Being on stage is such a great feeling.
Abraham M
Great acoustics. Volunteers are great. Staff is nice. Show was great. Audience participation was great too
Bella Merritt
Highly recommend!! Top notch performances, incredible staff and location and all around amazing experience!!!
Samantha Cearley
I love that my daughter has a theatre so close
Silvia Flores
Great view anywhere you sit. Its not a huge place that you get lost in. Would go again.
Bo Bradshaw
A wonderful theatre experience. Every time I go, I love it. Highly recommended!
Anita B.
The acting was wonderful. The facilities are always on point. Please go 30 minutes early to allow for parking.
Travis Bouchard
Awesome performance space with great shows. There’s free valet parking for Lexus’s which makes parking easy. It’s a beautiful performance space with helpful ushers. The concessions are pricey, but that’s to be expected.
Hydi Saldana
Love not only the place, but the art that happens here!!
Go, enjoy a show.
Make it an evening and have fun.
Carolina Hurtado
It's a nice place, the personal that works there is really friendly and I love to see the variety of plays that they offer. I love it!
Trecia Cooke
Hobby is always a great place for a show. Beautiful venue. The seats were a bit tight. Better if cup holders were not on the arm rests. Bathrooms at intermission were very efficient because an attendant was funneling us, women, to empty stalls. Valet was amazing, our car came in no time. All in all a great evening! Thank you!
Ajit Vyas
Went to see the touring company production of "Hamilton" at the Hobby Center. Convenient $15 event parking directly adjacent to the center off of Rusk. Nice foyer / patio to wait in before the show. Comfortable seating inside. Great acoustics. Kind of a rush for the bathroom at intermission in the basement but enough time to get back to our seats. Easy to exit at the end. Would love to see a show there again!
εντομοφάγος
Was great watched christina morales speak as a panelist
D'Quincy Robinson
Had an outstanding evening out here. Overall Houston has a nice Theater District.
Tyishia Ridge
Loved the atmosphere. Very clean and it looks like there isn’t a bad seat in the room.
Rachel Hochstetler
Pretty good venue. Fantastic ceiling, reminds me of a Fox Theater. The sound was good, but getting around was slightly problematic.
n Diaz
We saw Jersey Boys on 5/13/22; it was an amazing show! We've been to this theater before and love it! We've had 3rd level seats and orchestra bottom (ground level) orchestra seats; though both great seats, we actually liked the ground level/orchestra seats best! There really is no bad seat in the house, in our opinion. They sell drinks/coffee and various snack bars throughout the lobby area. Parking is behind the theater and well lit.
han t
Been going here for years. Love the place. Great for plays. Just the right size for most shows.
Marco de la Garza
Went to go see Rent. It was my first show there. Place was really nice. Seats were comfortable. Drink and RR lines were fast.
D. Prince
I've wanted to see "Phanton of the Opera" for over 20 years. What a wonderful performance. The cast was amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat. Parking for the event was $12. There were 3 garages within close walking distance. The center has an elevator and wheelchair entrance. Valet parking is also available. Cocktails and light snacks are available in the lobby for purchase.
Robert Sprague
Went to see new jack city play it was awesome but it took 1 hr to get out of parking garage
Daniel Maxwell
Another wonderful experience at the theatre in a space that is so welcoming and a place that is so inclusive.
Megan Gray
I love their staggered seating! It's like no matter where you sit you have a great view!
Lilly Berry
There's not a bad seat in the house it was very comfortable. The musical I went to see was fantastic Awesome ☺️
Ayana Annie
Saw WICKED at this theatre. Everything was very organized and easy to get to. Sound quality was good and our view from the mezzanine level was unobstructed. The only difficulty is with the parking structure. It can get rather congested and is confusing to navigate since it's an underground passageway of parking lots and tunnels. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to park and get to the theater before show time (45 minutes to 1 hour). Even valet takes awhile since there's a very long line.
Allen Markel
This is the beat box office I've ever worked with. The theater is nice..
Alfonso Cruz
Fantastic place for Houston theatrical events. There's parking at front and also valet parking. There's some restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. They serve drinks, cocktails and some food. Plan your night out with the hobby centre.
Stephen Rodriguez
Hobby always a great venue, enjoyed Moulan Rouge can’t wait to go back
Terri Moore
It's a small venue and you have good seats no matter where you sit and the acoustics are wonderful
Arneasha Tsasa
Great performance. Beautiful theater. We we're pretty high up and could still see really well.

I became a season ticket holder for 2016-17 season simply because I want to guarantee the Hamilton ticket for the 2017-18. Apparently I had no idea what I was signing up for. I fell in love with Broadway shows and musicals even before seeing Hamilton!
In case you wonder about parking space, come a little earlier to park on the street if you don't want to pay for valet or garage parking.
Pansy Wade
The Music of Whitney Houston with the Houston Symphony Orchestra & Rashidra Scott, one of the greatest experiences in my life...great job to honor Ms Whitney ❤️
Rudy Martinez
Chicago Musical was fantastic 😎 The hobby theater is such a great place …
Paul Walker
The place is awesome but the seating is not big people friendly!
Melody Andrews
Sat in mezzanine. Good view but no participation in the magic show, which was fine for me but disappointing to the children. The venue itself is beautiful as well as comfortable. The staff was mostly friendly with the exception of a few. Overall, we had a great time. Parking was $12. I felt like after paying $350 for the tickets, parking should be included, but hey it's Houston and I know what to expect.
nikol markert
Amazing productions, very talented actors and the musicians are wonderful. The sets and special effects are astounding.
Mark Roden
Went to Holiday matinee for WindSync a wind quintet. Easy parking, comfortable seats, nice venue, clean restrooms. So they provide a good space. And I picked a concert that I really enjoyed too.
Josh Watson
Went to see Mean Girls and it was amazing. Leaving took a while as parking was a mess. Having that many people leave from one lane took almost an hour.
natalie
the gidle concert was amazing ! the LTbox seats were amazing <3
Lucero Ohmm
I went for a Led Zeppelin tribute, loved everything!
Brian McElhenny
I was in the gallery up high, but still a great view of the stage and the sound up there is terrific! Drinks are pricey ... of course 🤷♂️
I saw Tedeschi Trucks Band there …
Laura Zingerman
Staff was courteous, helpful. We did not receive our tickets but "Anthony" made sure our tickets were held at "WILL CALL". Bless him as I called him right back about parking, just as pleasant, he informed of us where that was. Plus ready with prices on regular Hobby Ctr. parking or if preference valet.
The entire venue staff had answers immediately to other needs we had. We look forward to seeing what's coming up in following months of other venues.
We had perfect seats. From what I could see, there is not a bad seat in the house.
Kudos to you all!
Tawana Greene
I've been seated in both the balcony and in the second row. Balcony seats had plenty of leg room which I didn't anticipate. I love that there is free valley parking if you have a Lexus!
Jason Hon
The Hobby Center is a wonderful venue always sets the stage well for the stage. The food / bar prices are high for just ok products.
joaquin longoria
Very nice environment, clean, friendly staff
John Yong
The exterior of the Hobby Center needs a makeover. The building is outdated and looks deteriorated. The landscape surrounds the center needs an improvement.
Ethan Lindstrom
Attended Paw Patrol Live with my kids. We were in the upper balcony but could still see just fine.
They loved every minute!
Aundria Eli
I attended The Secret Garden in October, and most recently I attended Sleeping Beauty and Her Winter Knight, 2 musicals of the 6 I've purchased as a subscription for the 2017-2018 opening season. Something I've always wanted to do. Snack items, food and drinks are very expensive. Otherwise it's a great place for theater entertainment. My preference is not so many kids, but I should have expected that.
Daniel B
For a first time experience have to say it was very much worth it, prices for drinks and snacks at intermission made me a little wide eyed but hey, it is what it is. Place was clean and pretty well spaced and the Frozen musical was very much for the whole family, would definitley come back for another show!!! Lol just remember to either show up early for decent parking or valet..Valet... otherwise it's touch and go
JJ
For spending around $200 for a family of four, it'd be nice to have been able to at least see the entire stage setup from where we were sitting. The top quarter of the large video background was not viewable to us due to the stage curtain above.
Jessica Hickey
I was here to see Hamilton. Needless to say, it was very crowded. They had a very good system to get ladies in & out of the restroom quickly, many bartenders so there was not a long wait and valet went very well considering the crowd size. My only complaint would be our box seats. Due to the speakers needed for this show, the left side of the stage was completely obstructed. Something to think about in the future as those tickets were not cheap. My view of stage is posted.
Danitra Fields
There is really no bad seat in the house but the seats are extremely tight with barely any leg room
Steven Huggins
This is the second time I've been to a show there.
Both have been awesome.
Luis Perez
Friendly staff. Open second floor balcony with view of skyline. Fantastic performances. Only negative point is the traffic on exiting garage due to proximity to highway and congested roads.
T. Chavis
Nice theater, very well constructed. I visited this place for a graduation ceremony. Parking was easy and close to the venue. Security was on top of their job and may have even taken it a bit too serious. I mean worst than TSA. Upon entry to the building my bag was checked. An elder lady removed my wallet to be more thorough and never placed it back. Luckily I had the time and sense to retrace my steps to remember exactly where I left it. I was able to retrieve it from Security the next morning but ofcourse, ALL of the money in the wallet was taken. Win some, lose some...
Kimber Wheeler
Went to see 'Rock of Ages' understanding that this was touring production, I was entertained. The Hobby facility and amenities are very well cared for. Restrooms immaculate! (Surprise) .Acoustics fine. Parking- in and out . When Parking follow directions and you will be golden... so happy the Arts and venues are back!
Tiffany Fox
Gosh this place has excellent service and I loved the macaroni cheese / lobster super delicious.
Lee Flores
An amazing venue, you need to see a show here. Spacious but also feeling like you're so close to the stage. The only issue.. the parking elevator wait at the end of a show is loooonnngggg so grab some dinner afterwards.
Lena Scales
This will always be one of my favorite places to visit for a theatrical event!
Josh Lejeune
The theater is beautiful and always a great place to see shows!
Christi Hartwell
My family and I have been to numerous musical and plays here. We’ve enjoyed each event we’ve attended and have always had a great experience.
Clay Whitehead
They have done a nice job add bar service to all levels and the food court on the main floor
Rebekah Orlando
We loved The Little Mermaid. The theater is spacious and the seats were comfortable. Lots of stairs, unless you want to wait for elevator.. my 5 yr old was game for the stairs, so we were good. Parking garage was convenient..but $15. There are some cheaper/hidden parking options, but we were in a rush to park and find a potty. (Hello, 5 yr old)
E W
I went to see Potter Potter, thinking that it was going to be a beautiful condensed play about Harry Potter as was said in the description. Instead it was loud, obnoxious, and was definitely $0 spent on the entire performance. That was my first time to this theater, the theater is in itself beautiful but wasn't a fan of the play. Two guys and jeans and t-shirts with no backdrop and no props is not at all what I was expecting.
James Colburn
Amazing venue..Tuts did A Chorus Line and it was everything you could want in a classic! The ending was over the top fantastic! Just a great place to see live theatre.
Anita The Marshall
Awesome. Fabulous stage, lots of seating. Exceptional sound and lighting. Skye and her team are on point!
Margaret F
Very nice but stage too low from my seat in row NN. Heads in front of me blocked view. Seats are small, hard to accommodate our winter coats (and I am small). Hard to understand many of speakers/singers. Volume was good but clarity was not.
Roosevelt Williams
Had a great time the venue. The place was clean and organized. Friendly and helpful staff .
Jason Allen
This is a beautiful theater with great sight lines for seeing a stage show. I have been to multiple shows here. They were all great experiences and the staff here is gracious and accommodating. They're always ready to help you find your way.
Amos Caballero
Easy in, can be a bit long getting out but still very easy compared to other venues
Carson Walker
The Hobby Center is beautiful and very nice. It is spacious and honestly, you have a great view in any seat you sit in. The drinks are INSANELY overpriced. We got TWO coffee and Baileys with one shot of baileys and it was $40 (yes, FORTY) dollars. I would recommend attending and not getting any refreshments or make sure you budget appropriately.
ADP
Hamilton was amazing! Sound was good, but at times dialog was garbled.
Housekeeping in the theatre is disappointing. We were seated just forward of the wooden topped divider wall, which had not been dusted in months. I couldn't believe it, I thought it might be damage to the wood finish, but wiped my finger through it to confirm it was dust. Disgusting! And this was behind my head just below eye level where we were seated.
Ivy Okoro
I love, love, love this place! The staff was so professional and kind during my visit to watch the stage production of "Sister Act"! Great visuals, comfortable seats, and an excellent performance by the entire cast! This makes me want to go theater more! By the way, I loved the display of the lastest Lexus vehicles outside the threater (My Next Car! *wink*).
MandS S
Wonderful performance by the Penn Masala group and Steps for Dancing troupe, brought together by IAA!!
Hailey Bodiford
I love coming here to watch musicals! Not a bad seat in the house.
Ginny W.
The facility is great. We saw this performance once before, and it was outstanding then. This performance of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons was not quite so polished. Still good, though.
SamanthaReneeA
Great theater. Went to go see Hamiliton here. Great staff that are more than helpful. The standard seats can be a bit tight so if you can afford the more private balcony seats buy them.
Debbie McCarter
Opening night of Moulin Rouge at the Hobby Center, Fantastic!
Alexis Shubert
Great restaurant inside, worth coming early and paying to eat there. Chairs were tight for the plus sized individual though unlike other area theaters the isle seat arm rest opens! Love the ceiling!!!!
Gita Kulkarni
Update your website! It says $12 for parking. Liars.
Soraya Carranza
I saw Sister Act with my friend and the experience was amazing! It was crowded on a Sunday night but it was a closing show. They do ask for you vaccination card and you have to wear a mask. Overall, I loved the play!
Kim Cole
Sister Act was phenomenal! Cast is so talented. It was great to be back in person to see a show! Hobby Center doing their best to ensure patron safety by checking vaccination status and requiring masks - thank you!
Winifred McNamara
Attended the performance of Frozen in Sarofim Hall. It was wonderful. Lots of children in the audience as a first experience with a live musical performance. The cast was awesome and brought joy to the children and put smiles on everyone's faces.
Gena Smith
Fun show, good music! Great seats!
J R
Amazing performance , amazing venue , and amazing staff! Venue is setup perfectly and is beautiful ! Valet gets the vehicles very quickly inspite of the long line after the shows.
sarah zelmanowitz
Great night out, saw a wonderful show, Something's Rotten. Beautiful theater
Edgar “Eddie” Castlow
We were in for Hamilton. The venue was great. I do have some complaints about the users. At four minutes before the start of the show, I was warned that I would be locked out for the first 15 minutes if I did not make it back in time for opening. I choose not to go.
During the first 10 minutes the users brought three groups two our row. Two that belonged and one for across the aisle.
Henry Clay Berry Jr.
This place is Great, Ain't Misbehaving was a Smash, don't know why it took us so long to see it, Thank You TUTS
John Hurtado
Had a great magic show. Seat a little small.
L. Morningstar
Went to see Rock of Ages. Place was clean, staff were on point with all Covid protocols. Show was awesome, beautiful powerful voices.
Side note, to those who read this, please remember that this is a THEATER not a concert. You should not get up and dance and sing the whole way through the show. We did not pay to see your drunk a$$es, we paid to see those with talent up on stage.
Kimberli Philbrick
Love this theatre, their customer service absolutely Rocks!!
Erica M
I saw Aladdin here with my daughter and other family and it was such a good show! The heater is beautiful and regal. A true gem in Houston!
Jeff Presnall
Elegant and awe-inspiring facility! Comfortable and great view from mezzanine.
Liam Hajnos
Great place, staff is nice enough to your face....drinks and food are wholly expensive. Bring your savings for it. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable for longer viewings.
Edwin M.
Amazing space to see some great performances that come to Houston.
Salim Aljerjawi
Who was an amazing experience being in the Arabic orchestra.
the Village 2.0
Love this venue, staff extremely friendly each time we go. The food, especially pasta, is good too. Large servings as well.
Rosemary Ciletti
Very nice theater! The bartenders were nice and friendly and made good drinks, but it was annoying that you couldn't even take water into the theater with you. Very disappointed that they will be requiring proof of vaccination starting on Oct. 1st, 2021. We should be encouraging more people to experience the arts, not excluding people from attending.
Melanie Swenson
Great venue and show! Valet parking was available for $25 or underground parking for $12. Will definitely be back for another performance!
David D
The facility is really nice. It can be a little bit difficult to find parking (there is a pay lot right behind the center). Food and drink on-site can be pretty expensive, but the food was actually better than I expected. There were several choices too.
Becca Hutchens
Sat in the gallery, great view and you can admire the beautiful ceiling. We had a wonderful time "under the stars". Highly reccomend picking a show and making a night of it! It is a wonderful experience!
Xavier Stewart
Best performance event I've ever been too.
David Followell
Took my family to see Hamilton. Was a great experience.
Rudy L
Enjoyed a Great Night Out in Beautiful Downtown Houston with Perfect Weather, and watched "Once On This Island Musical Theater" with my Son at The Hobby Center 🥰!
A Great Way To Celebrate His 2nd Chance at Life 🤩🙂😇
Lynn Molinaro
Excellent performance. Enjoyed the Fiddler on the Roof very much. Our seats were very uncomfortable, not sure if it was just the section we were in but not enough width to the seats.
C
We saw Hamilton over the weekend.
Do yourself a favor, park in the underground lot under Tranquility park, easy in and easy out, as compared to the hobby center parking garage.
Even though the tickets state to be on time, approximately 30 people were allowed to enter the Mezzanine level after the 1st song and disrupt the environment.
I feel sorry for the women who have to wait in line to use the bathroom. The women's bathroom line was 3 times longer than the men's. I heard women that were upset and frustrated since they could not use the bathroom during the intermission break.
It is obvious that there was not enough consideration for them when they designed this beautiful building.
GeralynK Rangel
Smooth theater entrance, with covid vaccination card, mask and metal detector check. Very friendly, helpful staff to find seat location. Snacks and drinks available for purchase. Drinking allowed in seat, but not eating. Easy pre-order for pickup at intermission. South Pacific is a must see!
Felicha Massey
Went to a comedy show! It was great! My husband and I laughed until we cried. We're still laughing😂😂😂😂😂
Spencer Neal
Earthquake

Great venue.
Rhonda Reese
Saw 6, great show. Great view even from the top.
Phyllis Kolnick
Wonderful shows and a great venue.
Daved Baldridge
Wonderful performing arts center with excellent restaurant for pre show dining.
JD TheEntity
Amazing place! 1st time going and I was very impressed. Beautiful atmosphere and our seats were great
Ethan Pack
The Hobby Center always makes for a great evening of entertainment!
Nathan Le
You don’t have to park in the garage. Just park on the streets around Tranquility Park/City Hall. However, if you drive a Lexus, you get free valet parking.
I got to see Hamilton here. Great experience
Pee Kay
Many many thanks to Access Team Member Patrick , who was so kind and attentive
during our recent visit to the Hobby Center.
Sandra Stuckey
Saw HMS Pinafore at Zilkha Hall tonight and had the best time. The singing was putstanding. Can't wait for next season.
Michael Harris
Went for Earthquake comedy show it was convenient parking and place was very nice. Drinks a bit pricy but expected.
Jaime Watson
This was my second time at hobby center. I love seeing shows there but I wish there were more bathrooms and better crowd control after shows.
Katelynn Potts
Lovely theaters with a good restaurant.
Aaron Read
I always enjoy seeing a show at Sarofim Hall. The staff is friendly and courteous, the facility is well maintained, and there really aren't bad seats in this charming theater. Highly recommend for a night out with a bit of culture.
Harry Israel
Great service of bringing quality Broadway shows locally to Houston. Keep them coming...
Carolyn Geis
Well manged crowd for Mary Poppins. I was disappointed that the play was less than an hour long.
Melissa Joseph
Common and the Houston orchestra was much better than I could have ever imaged. Highly recommend.
Bobbie Haines
Enjoyed the Little Mermaid performance at tuts. Wish they would bring back the touring Broadway Disney shows again. They are great. Saw a few in NY and Tuts also has wonderful performances.
Jeff Villarreal
Definitely our taste of Broadway right here in the Bayou City.
Gene Alvarez (Devildog89)
Great set up and excellent seats. Not really a bad seat in the house
Highly recommended. Only bummer was masks are required but they don't hound you about it
Paul Elliott
This theater provides some of the best non-obstructive views of performances. The theater is temperately cool, so take a sweater. Overall, a classy ambient theater.
Keri
Beautiful set, great seats, friendly & attentive staff. Overall wonderful night out with my family
Steve Prats
Doesn't get much better anywhere in the world. Fantastic performing arts center.
Freddie B
I love the theatre, and this is such a beautiful one. Every show that I've been to there has been spectacular. However! Just avoid the upper gallery seating, especially if you're a little larger of a person. The seats up there are noticably smaller than the seats lower down. I caught Cats there at the last minute in the upper gallery and there was so little personal space (the woman next to me was basically laying on me) that I gave up and watched the entire second half from the stair. People just really need more space to breathe than that.
Clay Kirby
Very large beautiful theater with lots of comfortable seats. Very large attended elevators for easy access to the upper levels. Very adequate concessions on each floor with plenty of staff to keep the lines reasonable. Large clean restrooms on each level. Plenty of nearby parking. And very professional polite staff!
Tony APA
Our first time to visit...we attended a reception, followed by a musical in the theater. The facility was excellent. Valet parking was extremely well run, entering and exiting although expensive..,but other parking very close. Security on entering was plentiful and quick. The theater itself was impressive and well presented. Will look forward to the next opportunity.
Ferenc Ham
Was there to watch Hamilton and the cast did a miraculous job. At some points I even forgot it wasn't the original cast. I loved this cast King George, he was just a delight.
Me san
Saw the Chicago performance. It was great!
Cathy Moore
My husband and I have been visiting the Hobby Center for more than a decade and have not seen a bad performance.
Jamilah Scott
The seat are a little tight if you're on the bigger side but still a beautiful performance hall with great audio.
Denise Neskorik
Love the ease of parking right next to the theater. The ushers are always extremely helpful. Great performances
Vuong N
Beautiful place inside! Little cramped, but to be expected.
Customer service was 10/10.
Garage parking was expensive at 15 bucks though.
Fredrick Smith
We had a great time. I love this annual show!
Spenser Cheatham
The show was lovely.
Everything else was maddeningly expensive.
Valet parking was 25 dollars.
A pack of candy was 6 dollars.
I got a bloody Mary, which is tomato juice and vodka, and they charged me 11 dollars- I couldn't even taste the alcohol.
My husband got a disaronno sour, double. It was 30 dollars. 30 dollars for a single solo cup of sour mix and 2 ounces of liquor. The entire bottle of disaronno doesn't cost 30 dollars.
Absolutely insane money racket. I have never felt so cheated.
200 dollars in a span of 12 minutes for 2 awful drinks and a pack of candy.
Maricela Aguilera
Saw 'The Wiz' amazing performances... The theater is beautiful and the theater district has so many things to do. MAMMA MIA IS A MUST SEE!!!!
Danna Apolloni
Wonderful place to see a show! Lots of good restaurants close for a pre-show dinner. BB Lemon is our go to stop before a show.
Aaron Burchell
Saw Mary Poppins and it was a wonderful experience.
Michelle Kendrick
Awesome performances for all ages and great atmosphere.
Richard Rollins
Very friendly staff with more than enough directions and guidance throughout the venue. Very clean within all of the facility . Sound quality was good. Right Gallery seats row C 11,12,13 for Tedeski Trucks concert were great and not overpriced if you take time to visit their box office.
Dee Carlisle
Great venue and small so very easy to walk around! Will return.
Keith Sanders
It is a nice venue, the seats are comfortable and most of the seats seem to have a pretty good view. The music was excellent and the musical was good.
Havels Parker
Very nice!! There is a parking garage adjacent to the building so there is a little walking involved. Sat in mezzanine seats during the performance. There is a concession stand on the 1st floor that sells snacks & adult beverages. It was very clean (including the restrooms) & there were ushers to assist. Definitely 5 stars!!!
SERAH FALCONER
The place is Beautiful and self parking in garage was easy to get to. All seats have a good view.
Robert Devor
Well organized staff with Covid-19 restrictions in place, kept the crowds moving with minimal delay, clean and easy to get to one's seat
Great sound system, lighting sets.
Trudy Linden-Craft
Great show tonight. New Jack City
Crystal Alexis
Nice spot, good drinks, great show.
Hanru Redelinghuys
Had the nose bleeds and still enjoyed it! Great theatre.
Sarah Harty
SIX was phenomenal! The Hobby Center never disappoints.
Chad Brumfield
My wife and I came here for a showing of The Bodyguard and had a fantastic time. We enjoyed the show so much. This place is very beautiful with excellent sound systems and effects. I don't get to see live theater very often but it was absolutely worth it to go see this. I would definitely return here in the future and see many more performances by the very talented cast.
The ushers and other workers here we're also very polite, helpful, and courteous. So all in all, a really great experience coming here.
Andrew Alvey
This is such an amazing venue to sit and watch a play. My wife and I recently purchased season tickets and we have seen a couple great shows. The seats are amazing no matter where you are. It is set up a way where all seats provide great views and even if you are in the back you still feel close. Staff is pleasant to deal with but parking can be a hassle but that should be expected when a large number of people are coming and going at the same time.
Trinityego3
I love this place except the seats are extra close together. Went to see Set It Off play and it was so good. The theatre is pretty cool. There's a garage for parking and it's pretty easy to get in and out. Overall, nice venue.
Mark Baker
Great performance of Moulin Rouge!
Bri Mcneil
The theater was absolutely gorgeous. I was pleased with the seating. It seemed that no matter where a person sat, the view was good. To top it off, the food was phenomenal and even though you cannot take food into the theater, it was well worth it. I will definitely visit again.
Valerie Sinha
I love this theater! The seats are lovely. They have plenty of bathrooms on the first floor (over 50 stalls approximately), the shows are wonderful. We are so lucky to get New York quality Broadway shows performed by our own local Houston talent. We have been season ticket holders for the last 10 years. Always a joy!
Emily Ammons
We were finally able to see Hamilton and it was amazing! Hobby Center staff were superb and made navigating the center a piece of cake.
Makeda Williams
We went to see the Wiz and enjoyed dinner before the show. Everything was excellent!!
Murphy Anderson
Went with my grandsons class field trip and had a wonderful experience... all of the staff were very friendly, kind and considerate... will definitely be returning in the near future
Houston Brown
I think this is an excellent venue for just about any type if performing arts. the seats are relatively comfortable the folks that help you find your seats, concessions, are all pretty much standard and helpful.I'm thoroughly impressed by the people behind the stage and the people who do the sound and lights. Definitely first class.
Jacie Burt
I went to see Common perform with the Houston Symphany. Excellent performance and beautiful building. I will be back to see more shows.
Pierce Davidson
The Hobby Center is a great place to go and see a Broadway style show or musical. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and while it was slightly overpriced, the food offered before the show was good (although the vegetables were not very hot). The inside of the theater is very beautiful. The trademark stars on the ceiling are spectacular, and I caught myself looking up at them during the show multiple times. The seats are slightly small for my 6'2" frame, but still comfortable.
Lynn Hewitt
We were there to seeThe Jersey Boys...amazing show...I love theater!!!
Plus, all the employees and staff were so wonderful!!
James Caldwell
Great theater. Great performance of Paw Patrol Live for the kids. However. The parking experience was horrendous. No coordination with another event blocking off access to the theater parking garage. Poor coordination of valet, causing traffic to back up. Rude police officer striking my vehicle upon entering the valet line, and excessively high $25 valet price. The event was not coordinated properly for a kids/family audience on a Saturday morning.
Miechia Gulley, Esq.
Moulin Rouge was an amazing experience!
Bukola T
Great theatre. Almost all the seats have a great view. You can't go wrong.
V G
Went to see South Pacific. Had an enjoyable time. The staff was lovely and the performance was superb!! I also loke their covid mask mandate because you are sitting very close to one another ik there.
Traci Morris
Excellent venue. Clean and easy access in/out of downtown. Very friendly and courteous staff.
Leslee McFerren
Efficient security processes for access to the venue. Friendly and helpful ushers, bar tenders and other support staff. Good sound system.
Justin Eubanks
Aladdin was excellent! The Hobby Center is a wonderful theater. I have yet to sit in a bad seat. The ushers are extremely friendly and helpful. The acoustics are great. The seats are comfortable. My only complaint is that they do not always check the date on their canned soft drinks which can mean you get a stale beverage. They replace it immediately, though, if you show them the out of date can.
Chelsea Whiting
Very friendly staff throughout our visit. Great sound quality. Would definitely go for another event!
Edward Pecikonis
Excellent facility for a musical. Went to see Spamilton. Fantastic show. Great performers!!
The staff at the Hobby Center are top notch. Very friend and extremely helpful. Made us feel right at home.
Overall it was a wonderful experience.
Tanya Warner
Really enjoyed this venue. This was my first visit but would certainly go again.
Lee Houchin
Went there to see the Nick Jr. Live show and was very impressed with the parking, areas outside the theater, and inside the theater.
The only qualm I have were the seats are definitely a little tight for heavy set people. Thia, however was not enough to detract from all the theater's strong attributes.
Bruce Tran
Great theater horrible parking garage. I would suggest if you can park on the streets and walk over to the theater.
Michael Bridge
Our first time, Chicago was Amazing!
Shonda H
Frozen Broadway musical was so extraordinary and amazing!!! Great job with the cast 👍🏽!! All They're performances was breathtaking!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽😍👗💖🎶🤴🏾👸🏽!!! …
Travis Hoyt
This is truly one of the great gems of the Houston area. This iconic venue hosts some of the greatest broadway productions that have ever been created. The staff has been continuously impressive and the parking garage immediately adjacent to the center is very convenient. I've only seen a couple of shows here so far, but I'm excited to continue coming for the coming years here in Houston. Thanks so much for making this world a better place through inspirational theater!
Jamieson Mackay
My wife and I have season tickets for TUTS and love this venue. So glad they no longer require masks.
Russ Quinn
Very nice, intimate place. Security is a bit over the top with metal detectors, but the staff is super friendly and really want to ensure that you have a good time. My daughter was in a boot from a foot injury and they escorted us all the way to our seats.
Giovonna Will Do
I visited last night to see the Color Purple. The show was EXCELLENT! The reason I am writing this review is to say thank you to the Amazing manager ( unfortunately I'm unable to remember his name, and I tried calling to get his name but no one was able to help) I had a visibly issues, this manager was so kind and helpful and I cant thank him enough. He really helped to make my experience so enjoyable. I am forever grateful. Great staff! GREAT SERVICE!
ezeckiel terrell
It was awesome we had a wonderful time and the after party the actors the crew we're very sweet and fantastic people. And everyone was so friendly and it was my mother-in-law's first time there. and it was her first time to meet a drag queen and to see like a show and singing. So thank you for such a wonderful time at the Hobby Center and the after party.
Shonte' Mabe
I went to see The Phantom of The Opera a couple of weeks ago for the very first time. I have seen the movie countless times, listened (and memorized) the music, and even watched the sequel, Love Never Dies. But I had never had the opportunity to see this classic live and in person. My life is now complete. The show was better than I could ever imagine. The theatre was in an intimate setting which helps draw the audience in. The casting was perfection. The costumes, absolutely stunning. Before the show and during intermission, the Hobby Center offered snacks, actual dinner, memorabilia sales and alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages. I plan to come back to the Hobby Center for the production of Anastasia.
Tassy Beasley
I go to the Hobby Center about 12 times a year. It is a great venue to watch shows. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it takes so long to get out of the garage after a show. Worth it though to see such quality live theater in Houston!
Blake Wilkerson
Saw a matinee feature of love never dies. It was a great performance. Parking was $12.00 in parking garage. Bistro was closed for renovations but they served a meal in the lobby before and snacks and bar area at intermission. I will visit again. Great experience.
Rick Branch
Attentive hosts/hostesses. Very upbeat group and FUN personalities both before and after the production. Excellent layout from parking to venue and ease of finding seats. Also JERSEY BOYS cast and performance were perfect! So fun!
Cherie Lee
So beautiful, clean, excellant location and friendly staff.
Tiffany Wright
Saw new jack city 5 Star service
William Blair
Too small. Parking is a mess: it can take a half hour to get to your vehicle and then another hour to finally get out to the street. We have attended events here that we have seen elsewhere (e.g., San Francisco), and it's always been disappointing because the stage is too small. Even the seats are too small. The expensive seats are horrible and the cheap seats are pathetic. This is in great contrast to Jones Hall. We plan never to go back. But if you can stand the inconvenience of the physical plant, you can hear the performers; there's nothing wrong with the acoustics and sound system.
Ana A.
I brought my family to see Alladin. I had seen it in New York and thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted them to experience the awe and wonder I did. It was my first time attending a show here and I was not disappointed. Nice facility, friendly staff, comfortable seating. Top that with an AWESOME show what more can you ask for!
Mike Sanford
Always love the performances here...top rate. Last night one of the elevators was out of order and since there are only two, it was a long wait. If you have mobility issues the Hobby Center can be a little difficult. I have been going for years and have eaten at the bistro in the Grand Lobby many times but the quality continues to decline especially for the price. I would recommend eating elsewhere.

I absolutely love the way this building is set up! The consolation of stars are mesmerizing for me. 💕 …

Saw a traveling Broadway musical here. The seating process was smooth and the ushers were extremely helpful. Views from the Mezz were perfect and comfortable. There is a dedicated pickup lane for rideshare, making it easy to meet your ride. Overall, a well staffed and designed place to watch theater!
Linda Wiseman
I loved the show. I only gave it 4 stars because the parking garage was 6 stories tall with only one entrance and one exit and two elevators. It took forever to leave. We stood in a long line to wait for the elevator. Then it took about 40 minutes to get out since we were on the top floor. We will never park the again. We will go across the street.

Saw FROZEN! First time there for Granddaughter!! Got a box on side of theatre. That was Fun!!!

I love going to the Hobby Center. I have been a season ticket holder for about 3 years now. I enjoy a majority of the shows that come through and even find some new favorites along the way.
I cannot speak highly enough of some of the ushers/volunteers and the valet service is wonderful (over priced for something I find to be a necessity). Anna, the attendant, is absolutely amazing.
It would be 5 stars, but:
* My mother, also a season pass holder, is not always offered entry through the handicappable door (faster security check). Most times, when she is, I'm not allowed to go through either, even though she's a high fall risk, and I'm there to be her support when her cane isn't enough.
* At the end of the shows, my mother always walks down the stairs because the wait time for the elevator is incapacitated by able bodied guests. Often, there is no where for her to sit while waiting, so she walks down the stairs instead. Other guests have been very rude about her being slower than most and me walking just ahead of her to catch her should she fall.
* I've been slammed in to by the elevator door because the sensor didn't go off. The steward didn't offer any response or remorse. Just turned her key and kept the elevator moving.
* The concessions are WILDLY overpriced compared to some of the other performing arts halls in the area. $4 for a 16.9 ounce bottle of water? $48 for a bottle of $10 wine? $15 for a 6 ounce plate of pasta? I get it, I work for a nonprofit, too, but that's asinine.

The theater was awesome and staff amazing.

Great faculty, wonderful shows, bad parking.
Here's the thing about the parking. Don't use the valet service unless you want to spend a lot or like waiting. I have *heard* that if you pre-tip the valet a $20 you might get a spot up front. Otherwise you're going to be put in with all the rest and it will take a while for them to get your car. A long while.
You are much better to park in the underground area. It actually saves cash and you'll get out faster.
The trick is getting there **early**. Give yourself 30 minutes extra. Slide in easy, take a leisurely stroll through the lobby, use the restroom, and saunter to your seats. Its such a better experience to have time to enjoy yourself. Otherwise, your going to be the people all hot and upset, that everyone else will be staring at and making fun of.

Saw trixie and katya here. It was fabulous
Kenneth Bass
Beautiful theater and location downtown. Plenty of parking for the event and not to hard to get out after the event. The inside foyer is grand and easy to traverse. The only thing I wish is it had multiple bathroom locations. During intermission it was very busy.
Byron Xu
Parking is terrible here (but that's to be expected), so make sure to come early. If you're attending a popular musical or play, wait times to get in and out of the parking lot can reach 30 minutes. Otherwise, it's a really nice performance center that offers decent (if not overpriced) meals at lunch and dinner.
Kyle Sampson
Classy place and fun for a night out!
Good drink selection in the lobby and they let you take your drink into the show. No food inside though.
There is a restaurant inside as well. It's pricy but it's really good!
Parking garage is right next to the theatre!

It's was 2nd after 3 yrs and I really like symphony shows an amazing 👏 …
Erika Calles
Beautiful views and great place. The attendants were very helpful and kind.

The Hobby Center is a great place to see musicals! When most recently came to see Hamilton with friends. The entire theatre district was packed, but the center did a few things to help things along - they offer the ability to order intermission drinks and snacks before the show starts. This was, when it's time for intermission, there is no wait in line as your drinks and snacks are lain out on a table.
However, drinks are fairly pricy, so consider that a cost to see such great shows
Anissa Ansley
Took my grand daughter to see The Wizard of Oz and she had a blast. Good seating, organized ushers and good talented cast. Parking is 15.00 bucks, but its an easy garage exit and access to the actual theatre.
Erynne Wise
I love theatre and this place is very nice and you can really score some cheap seats. They allowed us to move a little closer even though we had seats on the very back row because there were rows and rows of seats in front of us. It was an experience i won't ever forget ( also don't buy concessions because they are very exspensive unless you are reallllly thristy)
Debbie Porter
Great show, fabulous theater but the seats are horribly hard and uncomfortable to sit through the cushions flat and old. I couldn't wait for intermission and then the end. The experience took away from a long awaited show for me and my companions. Phantom of the Opera
John Price
The show was fantastic but the facilities management was just OK. The bars were under staffed for intermission, there was a hawker totally out of place selling bottles of beer out of a clear plastic tub on a wire rack in a sea of people dressed up for the theater, and the restrooms could not handle the half-time rush. An extremely disappointing experience for the level of productions they are attracting.
Richard Ontiberoz
Come from away a must see, a feel good story during a terrible tragedy. Drama, witty and fun. Haven't been to a play in awhile, wife and will be back soon.
Wendy McMayon
Wonderful experience! Everyone who worked there was exceptionally friendly. Especially the kind lady in the parking garage.
Tammy Rodriguez
Saw Hamilton here, they handled the crowds perfectly, allowing pre-purchase of drinks for intermission so no long waits in line, also had many attendants directing traffic in the ladies restroom during intermission. Wonderful venue.
Cory Pullen
Im finally here at Frozen w my daughter Bella....the touring broadway show.....were excited?!!
Erin Hader
Hamilton was amazing! They have multiple bars set up on each level and the sound quality is great! Pro tip - order your intermission drinks ahead of time, from the bar closest to your seats. They will have your drinks waiting for you on a table with your name on it and you won't have to wait in line.
Kathryn Hatfield
This is a fabulous venue. I've sat in various parts of the main area and always had a good view, even from very high up. They've added food and drink options recently, which were a good addition. And their systems for intermission bathroom breaks are almost surreal! As tons of people swarm the bathrooms the attendants are on hand to direct everyone through in an almost-constant stream. It was crazy.
Also, keep your eyes on the starry ceiling for long enough and you'll see a shooting star. I don't know why but I always love watching for it.
Roland Sanchez
This place is great for watching broadway plays. The parking garage is right across the street and they have valet in front of the center. Free valet if you drive a lexus. They have plenty of restrooms and concession stands. The concession stands sell all types of beverages alcoholic and non plus snacks. Although most snacks are not allowed to be eaten in the theater itself. They have great seating with a adequate view of the stage. The seats are a little tight if you are a bigger person so be aware.
Wade Kissam
Saw Hamilton here, was very impressed by the venue. It was beautiful inside and out, I thought the lobby offered great views of downtown through the expansive glass. I was really impressed with being able to pre order drinks for intermission, just had to pay beforehand and they put them out for you at intermission, saved a good amount of time.
Joyce Hines (BeBe)
Two many stairs non working elevators
cole minson
The best show I've ever watched
Navada Jackson
An amazing show!!!!
Annie P
Lovely little theater, we were able to find street parking nearby to see Hamilton, which was surprising. The theater allows you to have a great view of the stage from where ever you're seated which we appreciated.
Jay Patrick
Great sightlines and acoustics.
Megan Hurwitt
The staff here is really wonderful. They go above and beyond for the guests. Every staff member I met was wonderful.
The venue was really great as well, in terms of offering all the bells and whistles a show needed to shine.
The only star off is for the seats. So narrow.
Oliver Zauner
A wonderful theater, get the season tickets!
John Weber
Everything is good great service. Has lots of restroom area and snacks and drinks. Great place to see a plays.
Matthew Crowley
The Hobby Center as a venue for seeing shows is simply amazing, I do not think there is actually a bad seat in the house. What they could do better is the bathroom situation, it's always a zoo at intermission. The valet service is nice, but again the area where they provide the service leads to long waits on car pickup.
Laura Oliveira
The Hobby Center is THE place in Houston for great cultural entertainment. It’s been around for forever and is well maintained and always a pleasant experience. Have to give the staff kudos because they manage to get everyone through the bathrooms during a 15 min intermission. I will say, their alcoholic drinks are overpriced and not very good. Definitely grab a drink before you go to your show.
Ms C
I had a great time seeing the stage play "The Redemption of a Dog" featuring Snoop Dogg. Very nice auditorium. Snacks, drinks(and mixed drinks) and food in the lobbies. Second floor lobby seating (reserved) to socialize while waiting on show time. My first time at the Hobby Center and it was a great experience.
Maurício Leitão
It is a very nice space, well decorated, good acoustics as well. I think it could surely improve the internal guest flow and it is not as comfortable as it could if you sit in the gallery.
Jessica Colborn
I love coming here. There are really no BAD seats. If having a partially obstructed view bothers you, then do not pick seats labeled as partially obstructed (but these do tend to be cheaper). However, the theater is small enough that even the top of the gallery feels close enough to the stage. Tip- The bathrooms on the upper levels have smaller lines than the ones on the ground floor. Oh, and be sure to check for shooting stars on the ceiling whole you wait.
Rena Patel
Wonderful experience valet is free for Lexus owners. They also had free cookies and hot chocolate after the show. We saw the Nutcracker. Wonderful performance. Everything started on time. The temperature inside was nice and warm. Lovely sets and costumes. Valet was fast and efficient.
a cedillo
Loved the show and atmosphere but seats are really small for fluffy people. Very uncomfortable. Oh well...
Kenneth Malveaux
Beautiful place and the seating was excellent.
Alex Gladney-Lemon
My latest trip out to The Hobby Center was to see Beauty and the Beast put on by Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS). The production level was very high and my family and I really enjoyed the play. We really appreciated them casting students with special needs in the ensemble and as Chip. To show the world that they can contribute to the arts was a very powerful statement. Thanks TUTS.
Leisa Novak
Parking is easy and they can really keep a restroom line moving. Of all the theaters downtown, I think the Hobby has the most helpful and friendly ushers! The theater is very comfortable and easy to access.
Nope Irwin
I'll difinately go back. Only tiny complaint is there's not enough restrooms or servers for a full house during intermission. Everything else is pretty good.
BellaChas439 Romero
Had an amazing time viewing "The Secret Garden." Great ambience, beautiful singing and sounds from the orchestra, and delicious wine and food! Will definitely go again, and again, and again! You're doing yourself a great disservice if you don't attend this establishment! Amazing!
Hunter Robinson
Watched Sleeping Beauty back in December and absolutely LOVED watching it! I have never been a person to enjoy plays, but this was very comical and kept my attention. The building itself is massive and well-kept. Employees have varying attitudes obviously, some being very nice and some being grouchy. Overall, if you want to see a play, be sure to visit their website and check out what will be playing.
Theresa Larson
We went to see Frozen and had an amazing experience. The sound, sets, and show were wonderful. And the bathroom line moves very fast!
Romona Slaughter
The Color Purple cast was magnificent. They were awesome. Loved every bit of the play. My only negative is the seating was very tight, and not enough leg room if you're tall.
LJ Lazaro
Seats were a little tight, but the experience and the show was awesome!
Mitchell From
I took my family to see the Houston Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker and it was amazing! We spent the extra money on Valet since garage parking elevators were still not working since the food of Hurricane Harvey. The food at the Easter on the 2nd floor was surprisingly fabulous. It wasn't cheap, but that was to be expected. The sets, costumes and dancing was all top notch. It was the best Nutcracker we have seen to date!
Diana Scheer
Wish we could buy accessible tickets in advance
C Pall
Great venue, great show, remove half of the mens restroom, make it womens.
Gabrielle Mcduffie
The staff is wonderful, the location is beautiful, even if you have to sit in the Mezzanine area you can still see really good. Only thing horrible if you have a lap size toddler 2 n under (even babies) you still have to pay full price ticket for a show. (Thought a smaller price would've been a bit fair). $90 to have to sit in lap whew.
Stan McDonald
It was Fantastic! I saw the Whitney Houston tribute. Great voices, orchestra, saxophone player. Omg!
Ashley Brooks
This will always be the place where I saw Book of Mormon. Even though I have sung a concert or two in this venue, those experiences are dwarfed by the perfect night I had watching that amazing musical. Anyway, the parking is easy. Don't be afraid to look for street parking in the surrounding blocks. It's free after 6!
Also, theaters used to frown upon drinks inside the hall, but now they let you waltz right in with a wine/beer/mixed drink sippy cup! Just don't be obnoxious, please. The restaurant at the Hobby Center, Artista, served up a DELICIOUS meal for the Bach Society after a concert there. I bet their real dinner is real nice.
Charles “Rojer Lockless” Blacknall II
One of the best places to catch a show in all of America right here in Houston Texas.
They have a restaurant on the 2nd floor if you come early and you don't want to miss a show!
Dee Dee Foodie4life
The Hobby Center it's self is a nice theatre. The restroom is clean, the seats were average size, the sound was good, however I say pick your events.. We saw "Set It Off" it was horrible... the 4 stars are for the Hobby Center
amber ice
The staff are Super helpful and nice. The venue is well made.
Buck Buchanan
Have been a season ticket holder for ten years. Saw "Oklahoma" presented by Theater Under the Stars (TUTS). Have heard all the popular songs but never saw the performance. Really nice show. TUTS offers a wide variety of musicals with top notch talent from the Houston area as well as singers and dancers from the traveling shows. Garage, underground, and valet parking is available. They are still working on the underground tunnel from the parking to the Hobby Center so elevator is not available. You will need to climb two flights of stairs and cross the street to get to the Center.
Kyle Craig-Bogard
Wonderful show! TUTS does spectacular productions and Jerome Robbins Broadway was incredible. Everyone should see the masterpieces of dance and musical theatre moments that he created that are presented all in this one show. Brilliant. Run to see it.
Benjamin Tamber-Rosenau
Takes forever to leave the parking garage after a show. Otherwise, the venue is great. Sat in the mezzanine level but the venue was designed so that there was no trouble seeing or hearing from up top, unlike some other theaters I've been to.
Rachel Harris
I had never been there before but once I got there I was ok. The attends were all super friendly, lots of smiling faces. I felt very save, secure and had an absolutely fabulous time!!! I'd DEFINITELY go back in a heartbeat to see another show!!! 😊 …
Bryan Morgan
Watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 and the orchestra. Amazing time!
Elvis Escalona
Such a beautiful place and wonderful theater
Dennis Hart
As a Long Island native, I’ve seen lots of shows on Broadway. My standards are high and my expectation was slightly lower than what I was used to. The hobby center exceeded my expectations. I have been to lots of shows and the facility is wonderful.
Deven Bhagwandin
Excellent service. I was with my daughter who was in a knee brace from a gymnastics injury. Met a docent on the first floor and asked how to get to our seats. She escorted us all the way to our seats and even checked on my daughter at intermission. I only wish I got her name to compliment her here.
Hugo Martinez
Nice place with good amenities. Not the best scenario for the performing arts but a really good place overall to enjoy any play. Parking is a little to expensive for a venue that has not easy access beside the car, they should be more park friendly.
Just a Coach
Rock of Ages was a great performance. The ushers were very polite and helpful. The COVID protocols went fast and easy.
Jason Davis
Beautiful Theater. They have some amazing shows there. Go!
Erika Vopnford
I love coming to the Hobby Center to enjoy awesome broadway performances and pay way too much for wine. The seats are a bit uncomfortable, but it’s a small price to pay to be able to see the great shows that come to town.
Denver Greene
This place has some of the best selections of musicals. The seating is great because you never have your view obstructed by people in front of you. They have food and beverages that you can get too, but they're always overpriced.
Timothy Lyons
Great venue! Even with a packed house, it was possible to make a mad dash for the concession line during intermission and take a bathroom break. In other words, the facilities (ie concessions and bathrooms) are sized to handle the number of people the venue can hold.
Paula Novello
The theater is located downtown Houston. Is a great place to see a show. Parking is easy within a few blocks. Seats are comfortable is view is great all are pubs the theatre
DKGTRAVEL
Very nice,we had a great time.
Anna Witas
One of my favorite venues in Houston. TUTS and traveling Broadway productions give a choice of 12 shows a year. Easy garage parking, plus free valet parking for Lexus owners! Also, great balcony with a stunning view of Houston downtown. Also, many interesting shows on the second stage.
Ian Klepcyk
Love the hobby center, come very often to see shows. Ushers are kind and are very helpful. Venue is clean and well taken care of. Now that they have drinks allowed in the theatre it is way better.
Diana Miller
I've noticed allot of changes in recent years. This year is the first year that even after curtain call people were still allowed to get to from there seats and go in and out.
Also, the metal detectors took away from the experience of going to see a musical. I know...we live in sad times but there has to be a better way than making patrons feel like they are walking into a place that is presumed to have allot of from. Makes people feel uneasy. At least it for for me.
Derrick CHIZER
Great view , better than most theaters but lacks aisle space that inhibits patrons flow.
Anthony Alvior
I enjoy coming to the Hobby Center for shows, and it was my first time to the TUTS Underground theater. It's smaller but you have a great view, even from the back of the 2nd floor. Parking is easy, and it's even easier to get nearby cheaper parking if you choose not to park in the Hobby Center garage.
Michaela Newman
Went to see Mary Poppins!!! GREAT EXPERIENCE
Duke Ensell
The best of the best in musicals and many other entertaining acts can be found on the Stages at Hobby Center. Great staff and facility too.
Tonia L. Randall
Always an awesome place to go! I took advantage of the complimentary valet parking for Lexus owners (took my husbands car) this last visit which that’s a $25 savings. When I came out and stood in the long line to pick up my car, my cousin happened to notice that my car was already out front. Even past visits without taking my husbands car, I still feel that they are still awesome!
Liz Berglund
Great show... I know this is an odd comment, but kudos to the ladies restroom crew. They had it down too science on getting everyone in and out fast! And clean too!
Ranel Gallardo
I watched Hamilton here last month, and the theater was amazing. Great audio and great comfortable seating, and also the intermission snacks and drinks are to live for. Keep this up Hobby Center.
Andrew Delicata
The Hobby Center is a beautiful and essential asset to downtown Houston. Check out the Texas night sky on the ceiling of the main hall. TUTS does great musicals with local talent. They add a unique and interesting flavor to the musicals we know and love. Valet pick up gets busy after the show. Other than that I have only positive things to say.
S Barker
Get there early for valet parking. Professional, helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyed each show very much. Seating was a little tight on upper levels. Floor, lower level seating is much better.
